Episode 270: Who, What, When, Where, Wynaut?
On the very next day after earning his eighth and final Gym Badge, Sora started training for the Hoenn Pokémon League tournament. His team trained hard for the tournament since Sora wants to be set.
"Okay, Metang! Metal Claw! Vigoroth! Slash! Sceptile! Dragon Claw! Snorunt! Powder Snow! Sealeo! Ice Beam! Pikachu! Thunderbolt!" Sora ordered. Each of Sora's Pokémon launched their attacks with great perfection.
Kairi was doing her own training. Volbeat and Illumise were mostly cuddling with each other just like Gallade and Gardevoir, Nidoking and Nidoqueen, also Pikachu and Angel.
"Plusle! Try Electro Ball and Minun you try Thunderbolt! Angel! Swift! Illumise! Sweet Scent! Volbeat! Tail Glow! Snorunt! Powder Snow!" Kairi ordered. All of Kairi's Pokémon performed their attacks with great grace. Volbeat was a bit distracted when he got a whiff of Illumise's Sweet Scent. Volbeat embraced Illumise into his hold. Kairi giggled a bit. "I think it's very sweet of you, Volbeat, but we got some training to do." Volbeat blushes a bit. Suddenly, some rustling is heard when a Baltoy come strolling along. "Huh? A Baltoy?" This gets the attention of Sora and Kairi when they saw it.
"There aren't any ancient ruins around here, are there?" Sora asked.
"I don't know," Kairi said.
"It might have gotten lost here or something," Meowth said. Meowth walked over to the clay doll Pokémon to greet it. "Hey there, buddy. Anything we can do for you? Want something to eat? Something to drink?" Baltoy smacks Meowth silly. "Ouch!" Meowth fell to the ground with his lips fattened. "Talking about issues." Baltoy fires Psybeam and strikes Meowth. "YEOW!" Meowth runs around with Baltoy chasing after him. "Hey! What's your problem?! I was just trying to be nice! Stop firing Psybeam!" Kairi stepped in to stop Baltoy.
"You leave Meowth alone!" Kairi told Baltoy. She looked at Volbeat. "Volbeat! Go!" The male firefly Pokémon flew in to battle Baltoy. "Tail Glow!" Volbeat brightens his tail in a teasing manner. Baltoy fires Psybeam again. "Dodge and use Signal Beam!" Volbeat fires Signal Beam and collides with Psybeam. "Now use Tackle!" Volbeat dives in and lands a tackle onto Baltoy. "Now use Bug Buzz!" Volbeat flaps his wings pretty fast and creates a soundwave and struck Baltoy. Kairi took out a Pokéball and threw it. It struck Baltoy making it flow inside the Pokéball. The Pokéball wobbles around and around and then stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch. Sora's Pokédex starts buzzing. Sora hands his girlfriend his Pokédex and it asked her if she wants to keep Baltoy with her or send it to Professor Oak's lab. Kairi decided to send Baltoy to Professor Oak's lab. "You okay, Meowth?"
"Yeah, thanks to you," Meowth said.
"We're just glad that you're okay, Meowth," Sora said.
"Pika, Pikachu, Pika, Pika, Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"I'm grateful for Kairi saving my, fur, for your information," Meowth said.
Illumise embraces Volbeat for the his battling.
"You are so brave and strong, my beloved, Volbeat," - Illumise subtitle.
"It helps to have some support, my darling Illumise. And I couldn't ask for any other Illumise than you." - Volbeat subtitle.
"How sweet of you." - Illumise subtitle.
The two firefly Pokémon continue their embrace as Pikachu and Angel picked on the romance and he placed his arm around Angel.
Team Choatix were absurbing the scene quite closely. Vector had taken notes on the battle.
Meanwhile, back in Avalar, The Mane Seven, Spike, the Kongs, Dingodile, Time Man, and Oil Man explained to the Professor about them being from different dimensions. With the Professor is an anthromorphic Cheetah He had a bow and quiver gear on his back. He also had a strap on his right wrist. His facial fur resemebled a goatee. With him is an anthromorphic rabbit with cream colored fur. Her attire consists of a yellow shoulder-less dress with light blue markings on the sleeves and an orange belt with matching boots. Also present is a brown kangaroo with green eyes. She wore a khaki safari shirt with a belt and backpack. Her red hair are tied in pigtails and she has a thin waist. Another is a penguin wearing a soldier's helmet and has rocket launchers on his shoulders. He had an ace of spades casino card on his helmet. Another is a white yeti with purple horns. He is carrying a club that appears to be entirely out of crsytal. And one more is a monkey dressed in a rhino in a block sign on his shirt, wearing a gray helmet and red gloves and boots. He's holding a laser gun with a yellow light in it.
"And that's pretty much it," Sunset Shimmer concluded.
"Oh my! Oh my! It's even worse than I feared," the Professor said with worry in his voice.
"You mean, there was trouble brewing up and you didn't bother to tell me about it? And worst of all, Spyro got to go first!" The cheetah pouted.
"Don't pout, Hunter. I'm sure the Professor had his reasons, right?" The rabbit asked.
"I was only testing it out to see if it works," the Professor said.
"Is that reason enough for you, Bianca?" Hunter asked.
"It might as well be," Biance said. "I still don't understand on why Elora went along with him," Bianca said.
"Maybe she wanted to use it as an excuse for a date. Just a romantic outing just the two of them," the yeti said.
"You might be right, Bently. She did sit right beside him during the fireworks show after we defeated the Sorceress," the kangaroo said.
"You mean, me and Spyro kicked her big, ugly butt the first time, Sheila," the monkey said.
"And zapped up some of the Rhynocs when they were desperate for work," Sheila said.
"Well, someone had to make sure they weren't looking for some payback against us! Talk to Sgt. Byrd, since he seems to agree with me," the monkey argued.
"If those Rhynocs are bad, then they haven't met any of the Kremlings," Lanky said.
"Just hope Donkey Kong is doing good without us," Chunky said.
"I just hope they noticed right away," Tiny said. "Especially Dixie."
"Although I agree with Agent 9, but we shouldn't be careless. The Sorceress's remaining forces won't take their time to launch their attack on all our homes once they learn Spyro is MIA," Sgt. Byrd said.
"But we can't leave him or Elora out there. Spyro would do the same thing for any of us," Hunter said.
"Hunter is right. Even though Spyro can take care of himself, but there are things even Spyro cannot do alone," Bently said.
"Also, this King Dedede that was kidnapped by this CIa," Bianca said. "And if her magic is just as strong as the Sorcress, or even more, then Spyro could be in over his head. So, we'll have to go with them and find them."
"Then, let's get the show on the road and give them what for! She can't just come crashing into our world and get away with it!" Rainbow Dash said.
"We can start by finding Spyro and Elora first," Bianca said.
"Good idea. If he's any good as you say, then he's okay in my book," Chunky said.
"Mine too! And if that book has lots of funny pictures! I would like to add some cupcakes with chocolate cream-filling!" Pinkie Pie said.
"Now, Professor, maybe you can help us put in the coordinates on where they went?" Twilight suggested.
"I could do that, but unfortunately, I don't remember what coordinates I put in. They could be just about anywhere by now. But, I'll have to try something," the Professor said.
"Do what you can, Professor," Applejack said.
"If that's not too much trouble," Fluttershy said.
"And maybe you can fix me up with my own ticket home. I got a diner to rebuild," Dingodile said.
"But I am curious about the fashion around here," Rarity said. She walked over to the kangaroo. "And I must ask who does your hair?"
"Like it?" Sheila asked.
Poipole flies up to Hunter's face making the cheetah a bit uncomfortable.
"Um, something I can help you with?" Hunter asked. Poipole laughed as it started to yank on his goatee like a baby would. "Ouch! Cut it out!" Bianca laughed at her boyfriend's predicament. "Noty funny, Bianca."
"If I didn't know better, I would think that thing like you, Hunter," Bianca said.
"Whoope," Hunter deadpanned.
Back at Castle Cortex, Pit, Shantae, Sky, Bolo, Rottytops, Crash, Coco, and Aku Aku had finally got the inter dimensional vortex operational.
"Now that it works, all we need to do is turn it on," Coco said. With that said, Crash turns it on and they all get sucked in at once.
"WHOA!" Everyone all exclaimed.
In a place known as Mega City, an elderly man with gray hair and a gray beard is working in his lab. He wore a white lab coat over a blue shirt and a blue tie with white polka dots. He wore red-orange pants and brown shoes. Entering the lab, is a girl wearing a dress dress. She has long blonde hair with fringed bangs, tied back in a ponytail with a green ribbon. She wore a red dress and red shoes. She came in with a smile on her face.
"Here's your tea, dad," the girl announced. The man smiled warmly.
"Thank you, Roll. I really do appreciate it," the man said, taking the tea.
"Be careful. It's hot," Roll warned her father, making him laugh.
"I'll be careful," the man said, taking a sip. "By the way, have you heard from Rock yet?"
"No. Not since Time Man and Oil Man disappeared. Could Dr. Wily be behind this again?"
"That is a very likely scenario. But, I noticed how strange it was when it happened. Dr. Wily hasn't made an announcement when it happened. He hasn't even made any demands and that's what worries me," the man said.
"If Dr. Wily isn't behind it, then who do you think is?" Roll asked.
"I'm not sure. But I hope we get the answer soon," the man said. Just then, a boy wearing blue armor came walking in. He took off his helmet to reveal that he has black spiky hair. He has blue eyes to go with it.
"Rock. Did you find any signs of them?" The man asked. Rock sighs.
"No. I couldn't find anything on Time Man and Oil Man. Cut Man, Guts Man, Ice Man, Bomb Man, Fire Man, and Elec Man are continuing the search for them," Rock said.
"I just hope they're having much better luck than we are," Roll said.
Elsewhere, six robots are searching in an unknown location. One is a slightly short slender robot with an spherical scarlet red head with blue eyes, silver eyelids and handlebars on the sides of his head resembling ears, holding his cutter on the top of his head attached to a base that uses to remove and put. He also sport a white suit with gloves, a pelvic plate and boots matching his head. Another is an enormous buff robot with blue eyes, a half cubic jaw and a huge upper body with massive arms. He sport a yellow, red and black armour, he has a red button like accesory in the center of his chestplate and another one in the center of his helmet. Another is a small Eskimo-like robot with big green eyes and a plain face. He sports a sky blue suit with a hood surrounded by white fluff, white gloves, a white belt and white boots. Another is a round robot with a yellow head holding his red mohawk and beak-like jaws, his body is black and spherical resembling a bomb covered by a red chest plate and red- yellow limbs matching his head. Another is a medium height robot with blue eyes and a silver suit with red pieces of armour. His helmet ressembles as much a knight medieval helmet as a torch which emanates a flame fire, also holding a piece covering his mouth, he also has both of his forearms asred arm cannons, matching his red chest plate. And the last one is an average height robot withblue eyes, gray eyelids and a black, red and yellow suit or armour. He sports a black helmet holding a yellow mask with a lightning bolt motif, his upper body is enterely red, covered by a black chest plate with a lightnig bolt in the center and yellow cuffs around his wrists, and his lower body is black, holding yellow boots.
"Time Man! Oil Man! Come home!" The buff robot called out.
"How could we lose track of a robot that was made for time travel and one that spurts out so very easily?" The robot with the mohawk asked.
"We could just smoke them out," the red robot suggested, spewing his flames.
"Easy, Fire Man! You're gonna make my bombs go off if you turn up the heat!" The robot with the mohawk said.
"Sorry, Bomb Man. I'm just getting fired up," Fire Man said, laughing.
"Do any of you think this has Dr. Wily's name all over it?" The eskimo robot asked.
"I don't like those odds either, Ice Man, but that's what Dr. Light thinks," the red robot with the scissors said.
"I'm with Cut Man. You guys remember when he pulled off that Mr. X stunt making it look like he was a pawn in some game?" The elctrified robot asked.
"Don't remind me, Elec Man. I still find that hard to believe; harder than Hard Man's head," the buff robot said.
"Don't think about it too much, Guts Man. Let's just count it fortunate that he's out of our hair, that is if we had actual hair," Cut Man said.
"Also, Mega Man told us to report back to the doc when we find something," Bomb Man reminded the others. The other robots all agreed when a dimensional vortex opened up.
"What the?!" The six robots exclaimed. Just then, Pit, Shantae, Crash, Sky, Bolo, Rottytops, and Coco came crashing through as Wrench and Aku Aku came flying out.
"Did it work?" Pit asked.
"I supposed so. I am not sensing anything familiar. I can only say that it was an overwhelming success!" Aku Aku said.
"Hey, that's great, but how are gonna get back?" Sky asked.
"Thought it was one of those, we're not coming back until it's done kind of things," Coco said.
"She does have a point," Bolo said. Rottytops noticed the six robots staring at them.
"Hey, what's with them?" Rottytops asked. Everyone all looked right back at them.
"Um, hi," Shantae greeted weakly. The six robots all look at each other and then back to the strange visitors. Guts Man made contact.
"Dr. Light. Guts Man here," Guts Man said.
"Did you find them?" Dr. Light asked over the com.
"No. But we did find something else," Guts answered.
"What do you mean?" Dr. Light asked.
"Let's just say that you have to see it to believe it," Guts Man said.
"Do any of you know where we are?" Pit asked.
"We would," Fire Man said, pointing his arm cannons at them. Ice Man stops him from firing.
"Cool down, Fire Man! We don't harm humans! And whatever those are," Ice Man said, looking at the bandicoots.
"Do you think we've been captured?" Bolo asked.
"Seems like it," Sky said.
Right over to Kirby, Meta Knight, and Bandana Dee, they traveled through the strange land in search of King Dedede. They had found clue of his whereabouts.
"If only King Dedede left us some sort of clue," Bandana Dee said.
"It would be considered to be easy if he has," Meta Knight said. "According to the locals, we could head for the castle and speak with Princess Zelda. This Zelda could help us in our search."
"Poyo," Kirby said.
"Hope you're right, Meta Knight. But Hyrule is a huge place," Bandana Dee said.
Before they could go further, an arrow darts into the soil in front of them.
"Poyo!" Kirby shrieked as Meta Knight readies his sword and Bandana Dee nearly had a heart attack.
"This is as far you're going to get, minions of Ganondorf!" A new voice called out. The trio turned to see a medium-sized young man holding a bow and preparing another arrow. He had a sword that is sheethed on his back. He also had a shield on his back as well. He wore mostly green. He has blonde hair and blue eyes. Had elf-like ears just like the locals. "The easy way is for you to turn back while you can. The hard way is having to put an end to your sorry existence."
"We have no quarrels with you, stranger. But we mean no harm. We are no minions of this Ganondorf. Let us pass and we shall not harm you," Meta Knight said.
"Hard way it is," the young man said, firing his other arrow. Meta Knight drew his sword and cuts the arrow in half. He goes at him. The young man draws his sword and clashes with his. Meta Knight tries to swipe his sword at him, but he took the shield from back and used block it. The shield is blue that has a bird-like mark with the three golden triangles on top. It also has another golden triangle at the bottom. Bandana Dee took the arrow and held it to Kirby.
"Hey! Kirby!" Bandana Dee called out. Kirby turned to see Bandana Dee, holding the arrow. "Inhale this!" Bandana Dee threw the arrow and Kirby inhales it. Kirby then transforms. Kirby gains a Tyrolean hat on his head and then wields a magenta bow, with orange edges, and a yellow star on the front. The arrows are golden yellow, with white fins, and a silver point. "Fire away, Archer Kirby!" Kirby took aim and fires. The young man swipes at the arrow. He looked at Kirby preparing another arrow and prepares to fire again.
"Where did he get those arrows?" The young man asked in his thoughts. Meta Knight and the young man clashed their blades.
"Most impressive, warrior. Might I know your name?" Meta Knight asked.
"You should know me. The name's Link, the hero of Hyrule. And you're gonna fail your mission to capture the princess!" Link declared.
"We do not intend to capture the princess," Meta Knight said.
"That is what the last creep said, before I caught him in the act!" Link countered back. They clash their blades. Meta Knight was mighty impressed by his swordsman skills. As Meta Knight was gaining the upper hand, Kirby fired again, only for another arrow to appear. This arrow came from a crossbow. It was from a girl with the same blonde hair and green clothing as Link, but it appears to be a green hood.
"You don't wanna try that again," the girl said. Bandana Dee came at her, but she gave the spear weilding Waddle Dee a kick on the side. Kirby and the girl fired their arrows and both were even matched. Kirby climbed up to the trees and fired away.
"Yoicks and away!" Kirby shouted. The girl did a back flip and fired back. Link saw the girl.
"Linkle! I told you I have it handled!" Link snapped at the girl.
"Excuse me, big brother! I was only saving your skin! And you're welcome, by the way!" Linkle said. Link rolls his eyes as he blocked Meta Knight's attack with his sword. Kirby reverts back to normal when Linkle threw a bomb at him and explodes when it made contact. "Got you now!" She threw threw another bomb when Kirby inhales the bomb and transforms again. Kirby dons a navy blue party hat akin to a party popper with yellow, green, and pink explosion motifs on it, a red ribbon on the top, a large white trimming and a blue, diamond-shaped gem with a large yellow rim on the front. He took out a dark blue bomb and threw it. Linkle dodges. The bomb explodes leaving some fireworks. "What was that?" Kirby took out another bomb and threw it. Linkle easily dodges and fired her arrows. Kirby dodges and threw another bomb. Kirby misses when she jumps out of the way, but struck some rat-like creatures instead. They snarled as they drew their boomerangs. Linkle saw the creatures and alerted her brother. "Link! Goriyas!" Link saw them and he sighed in frustration.
"More of Ganondorf's flunkies?" Link groaned.
"You're coming with us! Along with those creatures!" One Goriya said.
"I think not!" Meta Knight declared and he swoops down at them. The Goriyas threw their boomerangs at him and he easily dodges their assault. Kirby get ready to throw another bomb at the Goriyas when a large three-headed dragon-like monster came and breathed fire at the pink puffball. Kirby reverts back to normal when he was struck. The monster was about to have Kirby for a light snack when Linkle stepped in.
"Back off, Gleeok! This one's not on the menu!" Linkle shouted. She fired another arrow and struck one of its heads. She picked up Kirby in her arms. "You okay, little guy?"
"Poyo?" Linkle said.
Bandana Dee twirls his spear when the Goriyas threw their boomerangs at him.
"Back off, pack rats!" Bandana Dee shouted.
"And what are you gonna do if we don't?" One Goriya asked, as the others just laughed. Several more arrows came raining down and struck the Goriyas. The Gleeok roared as it was forced to retreat. The arrows came from several soldiers, wearing red, blue, and green armor. They were all riding on horses. Leading them is a young woman with white hair with strange tribal clothing. It had an eye symbol on it.
"Don't let that Gleeok get away!" The woman ordered.
"Yes Impa!" The solders all said. She got off her horse as she went up to Link, Linkle, Kirby, Meta Knight, and Bandana Dee.
"Good job as always, Link," Impa said.
"Thanks. Those Goriyas don't fool around," Link said.
"And neither does Ganondorf. He won't rest until he rules the land," Impa said. "And who and what are they?"
"Exactly we would like to know," Linkle said.
"Come on, we're lost enough as it is! Our king was kidnapped by some monsters and we're out looking for him!" Bandana Dee explained.
"And what kingdom are you from?" Impa asked.
"A place called Dreamland. Dreamland on the planet Popstar," Bandana Dee said. Link, Linkle, and Impa all looked at each other, raising a brow since they never heard of such a place as Dreamland.
"Dreamland?" Linkle asked tilting her head.
"You may find this hard to believe, but we are not from this world. We were seeking an audience with Princess Zelda to speak about this crisis," Meta Knight said.
"It's gotta be a trick. Ganondorf probably sent them to let us take them to Zelda just so they can kidnap her!" Link said.
"Hold on, Link, in case you missed it, they attacked them too. Ganondorf wouldn't just order his own minions to be killed unless they were traitors," Linkle said.
"We don't even know who this Ganondorf guy is!" Bandana Dee said.
"We're gonna have to bring them with us. Just to make sure," Impa said. She signaled the soldiers to place restraints on them as they took the sword and spear. They were placed in the back of a wagon. The soldiers that were sent to go after the Gleeok returned to make the report. "Well?"
"The beast is dead. But, the remaining Goriyas had escaped," one of the soldiers reported.
"Possibly to report to their master, no doubt," Impa said.
The remaining Goriyas had successfully eluded the soldiers and went into the woods.
"That was close," one Goriya said.
"Let's head back. Cia would want to hear this," another Goriya said. They pressed on to make their report.
Back in Hoenn, Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, and Meowth had made it to the next island to do some more training. Vigoroth breaks a few branches on some trees.
"Good work, Vigoroth!" Sora said.
"Pika!" Pikachu praised.
"Keep it up, and we'll be a shoe-in at the tournament," Sora said. Vigoroth smiled as he started to evolve. Vigoroth had evolved into a Slaking. The newly evolved Slaking laid down on the ground and scratched his belly. "Okay, Slaking, I just hope you're into battling just like Norman's Slaking." Sora remembered how powerful that Slaking was. Sora calls Slaking inside. "Better take five, Slaking." Just when he was about to get some more training started when Meowth went up to him.
"Hey Sora!" Meowth called out to him. Sora turned to the scratch cat Pokémon. "Kairi wanted me to get you. Time for dinner." Sora's face lit up on having to eat Kairi's cooking. "She also told me to tell you not to forget to wash up."
"Right," Sora said. He made a stop to wash up. After washing his hands, he found Kairi had finished. She had prepared a delicious stew much to Sora's delight. Team Chaotix sniffed the air and found the smell to their liking. The scent of the stew had caught the attention of a hungry Kecleon. It sniffed the air and smacked its lips. Kecleon climbed down to the source of the aroma. Just when Kairi had handed Sora and Meowth their bowls Kecleon made its move and looked at the stew. Kecleon was about to have some when something grabbed it by its curled tail and pulled the chameleon-like Pokémon away from it. Kecleon was confused.
"You shouldn't be taking what doesn't belong to you," Espio said while invisible. Espio handed Kecleon a berry to it. "Eat this instead." Kecleon was angered and swiped its claw and knocked the stew over. Sora, Kairi, and Meowth quit eating and saw the rampage it was on.
"Hey! Look at what you did!" Sora scolded. "Kairi worked hard to make that for us!"
"Kec, Kec, Kecleon! Leo, leon, Kecleon!" Kecleon exclaimed. Sora turned to Meowth.
"What is it saying?" Sora asked.
"Kecleon is saying, something pulled it by the tail and just handed him a berry," Mewoth translated.
"Kecleon, Kec, Kec, Kecleon!" Kecleon said.
"And this small berry couldn't fill up a whole canyon if it was rainwater," Meowth translated.
"Still, that was no excuse for spilling it," Kairi said. Kecleon came at them when Illumise uses Sweet Scent to calm Kecleon down for a moment. "Good work, Illumise." Illumise bowed her head. Kecleon shook it off and smacked the female firefly Pokémon with his tongue. Volbeat was about to avenge her honor when Pikachu stopped him.
"She can handle herself. Trust me." - Pikachu subtitle. Volbeat knew Pikachu was right. He had to let his mate fight her own battles.
"Illumise! Tackle!" Kairi ordered. Illumise charges towards Kecleon and lands a hit. Kecleon charges back when Kecleon came back with a Fire Punch. Kecleon lands a hit onto her. Kecleon was about to give her another Fire Punch when Illumise flew to dodge it. "Use Bug Buzz!" Illumise flaps her wings and creates a soundwave. Kecleon gets struck by it and becomes a Bug Type due to his ability. "Now use Aerial Ace!" Illumise darts right at Kecleon and lands a heavy blow. Kecleon had been taken down. Kairi took out a Pokéball and threw it right at Kecleon. The color swap Pokémon flows inside and the Pokéball wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch. Sora hands Kairi his Pokédex when it starts buzzing. It askes her if she wants to keep Kecleon with her or send him to Professor Oak's lab. Kairi chose to send Kecleon to Professor Oak's lab. She hands it back to him.
"Good catch as always, Kairi," Sora praised his girlfriend. Kairi smiled.
"Thank you, Sora. It's very sweet of you to say," Kairi said. The couple embrace each other for a kiss. All of the Pokémon smiled as they witnessed the kiss. Charmy covered his eyes just watching them kiss.
"Again with the kissing!" Charmy said.
"What a waste. That looked like some good stew," Vector said.
Over the next few days, Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, and Meowth continued on their island hopping adventures. Sora and Kairi both had their Snorunt out for some training.
"Snorunt! Powder Snow!" Sora and Kairi ordered. Both Snorunt fired Powder Snow all around, freezing the water.
"Those two Snorunt sure are improving," Meowth said.
"They should be since they have what they need." - Pikachu subtitle.
"So, you keep saying, Pikachu. Sora is training for the Hoenn Pokémon League and Kairi is training for the Grand Festival. If I heard it once, I heard it a bunch of times," Meowth said.
"You may never know when you'd be pulled into the mix just like that one time, Meowth." - Angel subtitle.
"Yeah, I know. I've been helping with the training. And I still have the bruises to prove it," Meowth said.
"And not the bruises from when we used to be enemies?" - Pikachu subtitle.
"How many times do I have to say that I'm sorry?! Talking about kicking a dead tree. It was just before we knew Team Rocket was trying to get rid of us!" Meowth exclaimed.
"I can't really fault you for everything, Meowth. It's in the past." - Angel subtitle.
"Yeah, you're right, Angel. And thanks a lot," Meowth said. Just then, Brendan, May, and Max came to the same beach Sora and Kairi were training on.
"Sora!" Brendan called out.
"Kairi!" May also called out.
The couple turned to see the familiar trio right in front of them.
"Brendan! May! Max! Hey!" Sora greeted.
"What are you up to?" Kairi asked.
"Just heading for Pacifidlog Town for my final Contest," May said.
"And I'm tagging along for support," Brendan said. Sora and Kairi both knew that the spark between them was getting stronger and stronger.
"Just how many Badges did you earn since the last time we saw you?" Sora asked.
"I just got all eight of my Gym Badges. And I'm gonna guess you got yours too, huh?" Brendan asked.
"I did," Sora said, showing him all eight of his Badges. "That Juan was nothing to sneeze at, I sure can tell you."
"Yeah, he kinda gave me a real run for my money," Brendan said.
"So cool! That means you're both gonna enter the Hoenn Pokémon League, right?" Max asked.
"You can bet your glasses that we are," Sora told Max. He looked at Brendan. "When we end up battling each other, just don't expect me to go easy on you," Sora said.
"I don't want you to, Sora. I am expecting nothing but your best against me," Brendan said.
"That's what I wanted to hear," Sora said, with both trainers now locking hands. Sora hoped it'll be like when he and Ethan battled in the final round. Just when they departed hands, Brendan noticed someone with a Masquerain on a cliff not far from them.
"Hey, who's that?" Brendan asked. Sora looked up to see a familiar green-haired Coordinator.
"Drew?" Sora asked.
"Drew?" May asked, surprised.
"Yeah, what's he doing?" Max asked. Brendan looked at his crush with a questionable look on his face.
"You know this guy?" Brendan asked.
"Both of me and May know him, Brendan. He was at the Slateport Contest when I got my second ribbon. I also saw him again when he, May, and I were in the Rubello Town Pokémon Contest. I wonder what brings him here," Kairi said. A huge tidal wave was coming right towards him and his Masquerain. Meowth figured Drew might recognize him since he was at the Fallarbor phony PokéBlock scam with Jessie and James.
"WATCH OUT!" Sora shouted.
"Go, Masquerain! Silver Wind!" Drew ordered. Masquerain fired a powerful Silver Wind right at the wave. It was so powerful it splits the wave up. Sparkles came raining down much to the group's amazement.
"What power," Sora said.
"Pika," Pikachu agreed.
"That was amazing," Max said.
"Yeah, I'm almost jealous," May said.
"Did you see that?" Charmy asked.
"You think he's another one of those Coordinators, Vector?" Espio asked.
"I'll say he is. The way he had that bug pull off that move is living, breathing proof," Vector said.
Drew left the cliff and saw the group on the same island as him.
"Hey there, Drew. How's it hanging?" Sora asked.
"It's you guys again," Drew said.
"Saw what you doing. That was awesome," Sora complimented. Drew just flipped his hair.
"That's just one of the many awesome attacks I'll be using at the Grand Festival," Drew said.
"And that's where you and I will face off," May said.
"Hmph, so that means you've earned all five of your ribboins, May?" Drew asked, expecting a no from her. May giggled, showing him her ribbons.
"Almost," May said proudly. "Just one more and I'll be able to enter the Grand Festival."
"Isn't that nice? Look," Drew said, showing May that he had earned all five of his ribbons.
"All five of his ribbons," Sora said. Drew looked over to Kairi.
"What about you, Kairi? Did you earn all five of your ribbons yet?" Drew asked. Kairi showed him all five of her ribboins.
"I think the one in Lilycove City speaks for itself," Kairi said.
"I guess that puts you on the spot for the qualifications," Drew said. "As for you, May. There's only six weeks left before the Grand Festival. And if you win the Pacifidlog Contest or it's over, end of story, finito."
"That means, it'll be your last chance to qualify for the Grand Festival, May," Sora said.
"How do you know that, Sora?" May asked.
"I bumped into Vivian at Sootopolis City and I was asked to be judge and I accepted," Sora said.
"No surprise since youre a big-shot Pokémon Leage Champion. No doubt you'll be entering the Hoenn Pokémon League tournament, Sora," Drew said.
"Hey! I'm right here, you know!" Brendan said.
"And who are you?" Drew asked, uninterested.
"Just an acquaintance of May, just so you know. May and I knew each other back when we were little kids. Also, I don't like your attitude. How about you and I have ourselves a battle, right here and now?" Brendan challenged.
"I could use a practice battle before the Grand Festival," Drew said, accepting the challenge.
"I'll give you a hell of a lot more than you bargained for," Brendan said. Meowth was relived that Drew hadn't noticed him.
"For once, I don't mind being chopped liver," Meowth said in his thoughts. Unknown to any one of them, a storm was slowly building up. Both Brendan and Drew got ready for a battle. Drew had sent out Masquerain to battle, so Brendan was well prepared for this. He took out a Pokéball and readied himself to throw it.
"Time to put this guy in his place," Brendan said. "Go for it, Charmeleon!" Brendan threw his Pokéball and his Charmeleon came right out to battle.
"Char!" Charmeleon snarled.
"Looks like the Charmander he got from Professor Oak had evolved since he got him," Sora said in his thoughts.
"After you," Drew offered.
"Charmeleon! Flamethrower!" Brendan ordered. Charmeleon fired Flamethrower to fry Masquerain into a crisp.
"Masquerain, spin through that Flamethrower!" Drew called out. Masquerain dodges Flamethrower like it was no problem. "Now use Silver Wind!" Masquerain fires Silver Wind to strike at the flame Pokémon.
"Dodge with Dig!" Brendan ordered. Charmeleon digs through the sand to avoid Silver Wind.
"Good dodge," Sora said.
"Show that know-it-all who's boss!" May cheered him on.
"That Charmeleon has got to come out sometime. I'll just have Masquerain fire Bubble Beam as soon as it comes out," Drew said in his thoughts. Brendan knew he was expecting Charmeleon to come out, but his opponen wasn't expecting a little surprise from him. Charmeleon poked a hole from the sand and that was Drew's chance to strike.
"Masquerain! Bubble Beam!" Drew ordered. Masquerain fired Bubble Beam right at the hole, but the joke was on him because Charmeleon came out of the first hole.
"Move in with a Thunder Punch!" Brendan ordered. Charmeleon jumped and deleivered an electrified punch onto the eye ball Pokémon, causing some heavy damage. Drew gasped when he saw that he was tricked. "Now use Flamethrower! Full power!"
"Counter with Silver Wind!" Drew ordered. Masquerain was about to fire Silver Wind, but Charmeleon's attack came too fast for Masquerain to do anything. It was enough to bring Masqeurain down. "No way!"
"Looks like I win!" Brendan stated.
May went to congratulate Brendan for his win when everyone suddenly hears the sound of thunder.
"Did you hear that?" Sora asked.
"Wasn't me," Meowth said.
Suddenly, a strong wind started to kick up. Brendan and Drew calls Charmeleon and Masquerain back to their Pokéballs as the storm began to pick up. Team Chaotix started to run for their lives as rain began to drop on them.
"Run!" Sora shouted as the wind got even stronger. As they ran, they felt their feet getting lifted up as a twister had taken them. Sora took out Metang's Pokéball and opened it. "Metang! Come out!" Metang emerged from inside it. Metang grabs Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, and Max as Brendan, May, and Drew weren't so fortunate. Thinking fast, Brendan took out a Pokéball and opened it.
"Salamence! Go!" Brendan shouted. His Salamence emerged from inside. Brendan climbed on and grabbed May by the hand. "Gotcha, May!"
"Thank you, Brendan!" May exclaimed.
"Anytime!" Brendan said. "Salamence! Grab him!" Salamence obeyed by taking Drew by the back and placing him on its back. The two Pokémon tried to maintain their hold as the storm had sent them into two different directions on a nearby island. Team Chaotix were caught in the twister as well and they are separated. As the twister had died, Vector flies to where Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, and Max had landed while Espio and Charmy heads for where Brendan, May, and Drew were heading.
Metang makes a rough landing on the ground below. Vector crashes into a bush nearby.
"Did someone catch the license plate of the twister that took us?" Vector asked before he passed out. Sora groans in pain as he got up on his feet. He calls Metang back just so it could rest.
"Ouch. What a ride," Sora groaned. He saw Kairi laying on the ground and ran up to her with concern. "Kairi!" He ran up to her. He rubs her back to consciousness. "Kairi! Kairi! Wake up!" Kairi woke up to see Sora's worried face turned to a overjoyed face. "Kairi. I'm so glad you're not dead. Are you hurt anywhere?"
"I don't think so, Sora," Kairi said with her boyfriend helping her up. Pikachu carried Angel in his arms as Max and Meowth groaned. "Is everyone alright?"
"I'm good," Max said.
"Peachy if I wasn't aching like crazy," Meowth said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"But I don't see May, Brendan, or Drew anywhere!" Max said.
"You don't think they must have been tossed somewhere on the island?" Kairi asked.
"We better go find them just to make sure," Sora said. Kairi, Max, and the Pokémon all agreed and started to search for Brendan, May, and Drew.
Over to Brendan, May, and Drew, Brendan called Salamence back for a deserved rest.
"How did I end up with the both of you?" Drew asked.
"Ending up with you is no picnic for me either," May said.
"At least it was a short storm. Not even sure where that even come from," Brendan said. "And I'm gonna guess Sora, Kairi, and Max are the same island as us."
"I hope they're okay," May said, worried about her brother.
"Don't worry, May. I'm sure Max will be just fine. You can always trust me," Brendan said. May smiled at her crush, feeling much better. Drew could tell there was something between the two of them. Espio and CHarmy both ended up in a single tree.
"You okay, Espio?" Charmy asked.
"I had worst falls than that one, if you don't count us us falling out of a dimensional doorway from Mobius to this one," Espio said.
"And where's Vector?" Charmy asked.
"He must be somewhere on this island, just the same as us. We should go look for him," Espio said.
"What about those kids?" Charmy asked.
"Finding Vector is our top priority right now. Besides, he would do the same for us," Espio said.
"Right," Charmy said. They climbed down from the tree to search for their leader. They weren't aware of a pair of Wynaut watching them from the shrubs.
Just when Brendan was gonna think of an idea, the trio all hear the hum of an engine.
"Do you hear that?" Drew asked.
They all looked into the fog to see a light coming through it. It was operated by an elderly man with an coral-colored headband, an orange cape and green shirt.
"Ahoy! I'm coming for ya!" The old man shouted. The old man introduced himself as Roderick as the trio explained to him bout ending up in a twister, being seperated from their friends, and had a rough landing despite Brendan's Salamence helping them out. "So, you didn't go through the whirlpools. But it was fortunate that you all survived. Also, it was an unusual way to end up on Mirage Island."
"Mirage Island?" May asked.
"Yes. A difficut island surrounded by countless whirlpools and wrapped by a thick mist. Only a fool would dare attempt an approach and few manage to ever set foot on land," Roderick explained.
"I remember my dad mentioning this place before. He was doing some research around these islands a few years ago, on the local Pokémon," Brendan said.
"I think I remember you mentioning that before when we were little kids," May said.
"I bet you don't know that the place is crawling with Liechi Berries," Drew said.
"My dad mentioned that too," Brendan said. "He doesn't just do research on the Pokémon, but also on the berries that grow on the island and eat in their everyday routines."
"Has he ever seen any Liechi Berries before?" May asked.
"Just in my dad's books. When it comes to Pokémon research, my dad's the best in Hoenn," Brendan said.
"And your dad is so important, why?" Drew asked.
"Maybe, nobody told you, but his dad is Professor Birch. He gave the both of us our very first Pokémon. He ended up with a Treecko and I got my Torchic," May said.
"You can ask Sora and Kairi," Brendan said.
"Speaking of Pokémon, there some Pokémon I would like to introduce you to," Roderick said.
"Yeah? What kind of Pokémon?" May asked.
"First things, first, young lady. I think I'd better go with you and help find your friends," Roderick offered.
"Good idea. They're probably doing that right now," Brendan said.
"Before we start, I must warn you, the thick forest on this island can make it easy ti lose direction so follow me closely," Roderick said.
Over to Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, and Max, Sora's compass goes out in all directions. Kairi had sent out Volbeat and Illumise to search for them.
"Aw, man. This compass can't make heads or tails of these woods," Sora said.
"You sure it was working just fine when ya first got it?" Meowth asked.
"It was. And so far, none of our PokéNavs are giving us any clues either," Sora said. Volbeat and Illumise came back to make their report.
"Volbeat, Illumise, did you find Brendan, May, and Drew?" Kairi asked. The two firefly Pokémon both shook their heads.
"So much for eyes in the skies," Max groaned.
"With a forest thick as peanut butter, it's hard to tell where they went," Meowth said.
"I sure hope May's doing alright," Max said sadly. airi comforted him.
"Don't worry, Max. May's gonna be fine. You can trust me on that," Kairi said.
"The same can be said for Brendan and Drew," Sora added.
"Pikachu," Pikachu reassured.
"Any ideas?" Meowth asked.
"Maybe we should go find a river and head right down for shore," Kairi suggested.
"Yeah, 'casue they might decide to do the same thing," Max said.
"That's all good, but we're gonna need a Water Type Pokémon to sniff the water out like a Growlithe in a scavenger hunt," Meowth said.
"Luckily, I have just the one," Sora said, taking out Sealeo's Pokéball. "Come on out, Sealeo!" The Pokéball opens and Sealeo comes out and claps his flippers. "Okay, Sealeo. We need you to sniff out a river. It should hit your nostrils like lightning. Got it?" Sealeo nodded as he began to sniff around for water. Sealeo sniffed around until he pointed his flipper over in one direction.
"Seal!" Sealeo said.
"There!" Meowth translated.
"Then, let's go!" Sora said. Sora, Kairi, Max, and the Pokémon went into the direction Sealeo had pointed them.
Over to Espio and Charmy, they searched all around for their leader and so far, they hadn't found a single clue. And they ended getting lost.
"This is great!" Charmy said with a hint of sarcasm. "Why do I have a feeling that we're getting more and more lost the further we go?"
"Vector might be having the same kind of problem as we are," Espio said.
"Maybe I can go fly up higher and have a look," Charmy suggested.
"I wouldn't recommend it, Charmy. Judging how this forest looks, I would say the forest is pretty thick," Espio said.
"Wynaut!" A new voice chirped.
"Because it's a bad idea, Charmy," Espio said.
"It wasn't me," Charmy said.
"Wynaut! Wy, Wy, Wynaut!" A Wynaut's voice is heard. They saw some rustling in the shrubs.
"There!" Espio said, pointing his finger in the voices direction. The chameleon started the chase wth the young bee following.
"Hey! Wait up!" Charmy said.
Roderick and the trio found the river just like Roderick said he would.
"The river! We found it!" May said.
"Good thing!" Brendan added.
"Just how do you know every inch of this island, Roderick?" Drew asked.
"It all goes back forty years ago," Roderick started his story. "I was a young and determined Pokémon Coordinator searching for Leichi Berries to make the perfect PokéBlock. Just when I got close to Mirage Island, my boat was completely engulfed by a whirlpool and threw me overboard. As I awoke, I found myself marooned on the very island I have been seeking. I laid there with hardly the strength to move, I felt the presence of something approaching me. And when I could finally lift my head and opened my eyes, I found myself in a cave with Liechi Berries as far as I can see."
"That's a cool story," Brendan said.
"Whose cave were you talking about?" May asked.
"Hey! Look!" Drew exclaimed. May and Brendan looked right at him.
"What is it, Drew?" May asked. Drew spotted a bunch of light yellow berries with a red bottom and red straps on the sides.
"Liechi Berries!" Drew said.
"You sure?" May asked.
"he's right, those are Liechi Berries," Brendan said.
"Look out! That Cliff...!" Roderick warned when they all fell off the cliff. Roderick took out a Pokéball and threw it. "Bellsprout! Vine WHip!" His Bellsprout came out and sendsa vine to pull them up. May amanges to grab Brendan and he attempts to grab Drew, but all three of them all end up in the river. ROderick and his Bellsprout ran along the river.
"May!" Brendan called out to his crush.
"Swim to shore! THere's a waterfall dead ahead!" Roderick warned. Brendan, May, and Drew winced when he said that.
"Oh no!" Brendan exclaimed.
"Brendan! Drew!" May cried.
"May!" Brendan and Drew both said.
They fell down at the waterfall, knocking Drew unconscious. May tried to swim up to get to Drew.
"Hold on, Drew!" May said.
"Don't worry, May! I got him!" Brendan said. "He better wake up soon, because I don't have the strength to hold us both up!" Just then, a whole bunch of Wynaut came running along the trees.
"What are those things?" May asked.
"Those are Wynaut! What are they doing?" Brendan asked. The Wynaut all formed a chain and held hands to help the three kids in the raging river. They pulled the trio out of the river before they went further. Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, and Max all arrived to the river to see any signs of Brendan, May, and Drew.
"Brendan, where are you?" Sora called out.
"May! Drew!" Kairi called out.
"Maybe they didn't know about the river," Max said sadly.
"Ahoy!" Roderick called from above.
"Who's that?" Meowth asked.
"Up here!" Roderick called out, waving his arms. He was climbing down the cliff. After an introduction, Roderick told them about what happened.
"WHAT?! They were heading over a waterfall?!" Sora exclaimed.
"No way!" Max said, feeling his heart sinking.
"Pika," Pikachu said worridly.
"Eevee," Angel added. Roderick was saddened by the tragedy.
"I promise I did everything that I could to help them," Roderick said sadly.
"At least we have something to go on," Meowth said.
"They must have been carried further down stream," Sora said.
Over in a cave, Drew had regained consciousness.
"Thank goodness you're okay," May said with relief.
"Did you save me?" Drew asked.
"No she didn't. Those little guys did the work," Vector said Drew winced when he saw the crocodile in the same cave as them. "Perhaps I should introduce myself. The name's Vector. Vector the Crocodile."
"Nice to meet you, Vector. My name is-" May said before Vector cut her off.
"May. I know. we met at the Purika Town Contest. I could see you, but you couldn't see me," Vector said.
"You were there?" May asked.
"Yes. Me and my two teammates. We were doing some recon since we accidentally ended up in your world," Vector said.
"You're from another world?" Brendan asked.
"That's right on the nose, now your turn," Vector said.
"Brendan" he replied.
"And I'm Drew," Drew said.
"How did you end up in our world in the first place?" May asked.
"Me and my colleagues were doing some detective work when suddenly, without warning, a dimensional rift opened up and sucked us up and we ended up in this world. When that happened we had no idea what happned and where we ended up. So, we thought we learn of our surroundings just by doing some recon. And that's when we stumbled onto your contest and that Sora kid," Vector explained.
"Why so interested in Sora?" Brendan asked.
"I figured he wasn't an ordinary Pokémon trainer you would put it, so we followed him for a while to learn what we can. And we ended up on this island as well. When I woke up, I was in the cave with these little guys," Vector said. One of the Wynaut offered them some Liechi Berries to their guests.
"Are they for us?" May asked. The Wynaut nodded. "Thank you." Brendan, May, Drew, and Vector accepted the berries. They took a bite.
"This is pretty good," Brendan said. THey all felt an aftertaste kicking in.
"These have a strong aftertaste," Vector said. He heard something outside. It was a buzzing sound. "I know that buzz." May was starting to get worried.
"What? Beedrill?" May asked with fright.
"Vector!" Charmy shouted. He and Espio had found them at last.
"Espio! Charmy! How did you find me?" Vector asked.
"We just followed one of those," Espio said, pointing to the Wynaut. Charmy realized they weren't alone in the cave with them when they all looked at them oddly.
"Uh, Espio," Charmy said.
"It's okay, Charmy. I filled them in on our situation," Vector said. "Brendan, May, Drew, meet my teammates. Espio the Chameleon, our ninja. And Charmy the Bee, out tracker."
Over to Sora, Kairi, Max, and the Pokémon, Roderick filled them in on how his boat crashed and how the Wynaut helped him and fed him their Liechi Berries.
"That's some story," Sora said.
"Agreed. Over the many years of living on Mirage Island I've learned how to navigate safely through the many whirlpools surrounding its shores. And even though I now live back in the city I come back here every so often to keep a watchful eye out for the Wynaut, you see," Roderick said. "It just seems like the right thing to do."
"It sounds like you care about these Wynaut a lot, don't you?" Kairi asked. Roderick smiled as he chuckled.
"Well, you won't get any argument from me," Roderick said. Max saw something at the river's shore.
"Hey! Look guys! Those footprints has got to belong to Brendan, May, and Drew," Max said.
"And the other ones are from Wynaut," Roderick said. He looked in the direction the cave was heading. "Looks like they're heading back to their cave."
Back to the cave, Team Chaotix told them about the planet that their from. And that they're a detective agency and how they help save their world.
"Okay, so you're saying that you three had come from a planet called Mobius, which is on the brink of conquest by some scientist calling himself Dr. Eggman who is building an his own empire by using a Roboticizer to turn the locals into machines; and his plans had always been foiled by a hedgehog named Sonic who runs faster than anything else," Brendan said.
"Yes," Espio said.
"He is always trying to take over," Charmy said.
"And he never learns his lesson," Vector added.
"Just how many times did Sonic foil his plans, anyway?" Drew asked.
"Dozens," Espio replied.
"Just recently, Dr. Eggman had been extremely quiet, so we hadn't heard so much as a peep out of him," Vector said.
"And that is very unusual since he an act of coming back ready than ever," Espio said.
"What do you think he's up to?" Brendan asked.
"Not a clue," Vector said. "Whatever it is, it's the complete opposite of good."
"Knock, knock!" Sora called out. Brendan, May, and Drew heard Sora's voice as they arrived. "Brendan! Drew!"
"May!" Max said, running up to his sister.
"Max!" May said happily.
"How did you find us?" Drew said.
"The Wynaut left behind a trail," Sora said, referring to the footprints. Meowth saw Team Choatix and he blinked twice.
"Who and what are these?" Meowth asked.
Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel all saw the trio for the first time and they blinked twice.
"Um, hi?" Charmy greeted.
"What the?" Sora asked.
"Good to meet you for real," Espio said.
"For real?" Sora asked. Pikachu went up to the chameleon and sniffed him. Pikachu recognized his scent.
"Pika!" Pikachu said.
"Don't tell me that you came from an Ultra Wormhole," Sora said.
"Ultra what?" Team Choatix and Drew asked.
"It's a long and complicated story," Kairi said.
Team Chaotix told them about being from a world known as Mobius and that they came through an inter dimensional rift. And that they've been following Sora, Kairi, and the Pokémon since Purika Town.
"You've been following us all this time?" Sora asked.
"Just to get some info on you," Vector said.
"Also, Vector noted that you had potential. He wasn't wrong," Espio said.
"Sorry for being total stalkers, but we couldn't risk freaking you out," Charmy said.
"Also, it sounds you your hands in some inter dimensional experinces yourselves," Vector said.
"A few times," Sora said. "That's if you count going into Ultra Space twice and stopping an evil empire from taking control of everything."
"You mean, you had your hands in it before? You are just full of surprises, you know that?" Drew asked.
"The first time in Ultra Space was for a rescue mission while the second time was accidental. And ended up in a world of wizards where a whole city was totalled by an Ultra Beast that can eat an entire mountain like it was a hamburger," Sora said.
Deciding not to dwell too much on it, the Wynaut gave their visitors some of their Liechi Berries and be on their way. As they rode on a boat to the very next island, they all saw a picture of a young Roderick. For some reason he had an angry looking expression.
After arriving on the island, Brendan, May, Max, and Drew went their own ways once again as Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, and Teram Chaotix had headed off their own way as well. They promised to meet May and Max in Pacifidlog Town
"You sure you wanna hang with us?" Sora asked.
