Third P.O.V
The heroes removed the large slab of concrete covering her body. Atri Lee a.k.a Saikuron laid there an eerie calm on her face with a small blood filled smile on her lifeless body.
Izuku Midoriya cried out, picking up the girl in his arms carrying her to the gurney where she laid head lolling to the side as she was lifted into the ambulance.
No one was there on her way to the hospital. Izuku had left to go to his own ambulance where the little girl Eri was being checked up on. Ochako Uraraka, Tsuyu Asui and Ejiro Kirishima stand with tears running down their faces as their wounds are being healed.
They knew they had lost an angel on earth. Wherever she left was a much better place than the cruel planet that she used to live.
Atri Lee arrived at the hospital, her heart stopping as she was wheeled into a room. No need to be hooked up to any machines as they wouldn't have helped.
No one in her family knew she was here not until Shota Aizawa had made the horrible call to her parents in America...To her grandmother in Tokyo...and to the press where they would break the news to anyone watching the T.V.
Katsuki P.O.V
I sat in the living room eating spicy ramen dressed in sweatpants and a black t-shirt the smell of caramel shampoo not masked by the chile peppers in my ramen.
"Bakugou…" Dunce face said almost cautiously as he crept around the couch to where I was sitting.
"You need to turn on the T.V. to channel 6…" He says simply.
"WHY THE HELL ARE YOU TELLING ME WHAT TO DO?"
"It's about Atri…" He says wincing before turning around walking speedily away.
I growl to myself before turning to the T.V. placing my bowl of Ramen on the coffee table. I lean over grabbing the remote. People have gathered around the couch not sitting down but they all turn their attention to the T.V. waiting for me to turn it on.
I reluctantly turn on the T.V. flipping it to channel 6 where the news was on.
"Breaking News! We got a report from pro-hero Eraserhead about a Student participating in a provisional Licensing Internship- Saikuron is her hero name but I was told to release her actual name now…
Atri Lee was taken to the ICU after a fatal battle in the underground tunnels of the Yakuzas Home.
I've just received word from the Pro-hero EraserHead...Atri Lee folks...She didn't make it...She died in the hospital due to multiple organ failure...My condolences go out to the Heroes family and friends."
My heart shatters, the bowl in my hand dropping. The only things in my mind were her voice and her touch, her kiss…
She knew she was going to die… she knew that she was going to die….otherwise she wouldn't have told me she loved me the way she did this morning.
I run ignoring the voices raging through my head. I toss on my shoes and dash out the entrance to the dorms down the street to the gates of U.A.
The thought of her lying alone in a bed, the heart that loved much and large not beating in her chest as she sat growing cold, no source of energy warming her up hurts me just as much as the news did.
I crash through people as I run trying to get to the hospital. I see it in the distance and with that I run as fast as I can dashing into a back alley popping out to the front of the hospital where I ran inside grabbing a mask and throwing it on as I ask the receptionist for the room number.
A saddened look is on her face as she tells me the number and I run to the elevator only stopping when it starts going up.
I pace back and forth as it takes me up to the 12th floor where she would be.
DING!
I ran out finding number 1252 at the end of a long hallway.
I see the curtain drawn around her bed on the other side of her. He sits his head in his hands looking up when I come inside slowly making my way to .
"Bakugou…" He says softly.
"I want to see her…"
"Are you sure?"
"Please just let me see her one last time…" I begged him, my voice shaking.
He nods, drawing the curtains away from her lifeless body. She lays there in her hero costume tattered compared to this morning.
Her eyes are closed with a small smile on her face. I reach for her hand my own shaking as I collapse onto the ground sobbing, racking my body as I cry out her name.
We were never going to get married...I was never going to find another love of my life...she was my soulmate...my best friend.
Third P.O.V
-1 year later-
Katsuki Bakugou had gathered his friends exactly one year after Atri Lee had passed away in a fruitful but fatal battle to save a little girl as well as all of humanity.
Ashido Mina stood quiet dressed in a somber black dress.
Kaminari Denki stood his hands in the pockets of his black jeans.
Hanta Sero with a hoodie on the hood covering his tired eyes.
Ejiro Kirishima stands hair returned to black instead of continuing to dye his hair red he stopped hurt with the memories of Atri helping him dye it.
The worst of all of them was Katsuki Bakugou...He stood an urn in hand with a smile on his face as he gazed at the remains of Atri Lee.
They all stood on the rooftop of the class 3-A dorm.
He gathered them together so they could say a final goodbye to Atri as he wanted to spread her in the place that they had spent the most time...5 floors of memories stockpiled underneath their feet.
"Atri...she loved each and everyone of you with as much of her heart that she allowed...She loved me too of course…"
"You never told us the story of you and her…" Kirishima says, pointing it out gently.
"You want to hear the story? Guys?" Katsuki Bakugou said this with no anger, no trace of hatred left in his veins almost as if the spirit of Atri had merged with him...he even smelt the way she did. He used the same caramel shampoo and conditioner every night, the smell never tiring him.
Each of the teens nod.
"Alright…" He nods holding the ashes close to him.
"At first we were friends..."
