Natasha hadn't seen Steve since their first official date. They both had been too busy to see each other in the last three days . But they sent each other cute and flirty messages and Natasha loved it. She felt like a normal woman who was dating an amazing guy. A guy who was smart, kind, thoughtful, funny, cute and also smoking hot.
She woke up to a text from Steve.
Good morning, gorgeous. Hope you had sweet dreams!
She read the message with a huge grin on her face. She was truly lucky. She wished Steve a good morning as well and asked him if he would be at the counseling center around noon. She wanted to see him for lunch. He texted immediately back, confirming that he would be at there all day and that he loved to have lunch with her.
Natasha got out of bed and went into her bathroom to get ready for the day. Since she was going to see her Steve today, she put a little more effort into her look. It wasn't that cold today, so she decided to wear a thin cashmere sweater that hugged her body and a tight leather pencil skirt. With a thick coat over it, it would be warm enough to brave the cold. She slipped into her favorite boots that added a few inches to her height and made her legs look longer than they were.
Yelena whistled when Natasha came into the kitchen. Her little sister was still in her candy cane pajamas.
"You got any hot plans today?" She wiggled her eyebrows suggestively.
"No." She wasn't going to tell Yelena yet about her dates with Steve. It was all still so new and precious to her. She loved her sister, but Yelena didn't need to know everything.
"Okaaay." Her sister obviously didn't buy what she was selling, but Natasha didn't care. "I made oatmeal. You want some?"
"Yes, thank you." Yelena put a bowl of warm oatmeal that she'd decorated with blue berries and peanut butter. "This looks great, thanks!"
Her sister beamed and sat down again, continuing to eat her breakfast.
Natasha asked her what her plans were for today and she told her that she was going to watch Christmas movies in the morning (no surprise there) and then she was going to buy Christmas presents. Natasha had already done that yesterday, but she still didn't have something for Steve. Maybe she should just wrap herself as a present, she'd seen some very sexy and festive lingerie at Bergdorf's. He could unwrap her and then he could-
"Tasha?" Yelena waved her hand in front of Natasha's face. "Hello? Earth to Tasha?"
She blinked at her sister, she had completely zoned out. "What were you saying?"
"I asked you if you want to go out tonight. I'd like to go bowling, I've never been. Maybe Steve wants to come, too." Yelena grinned at Natasha. "He can bring his buddy Bucky."
It wasn't a bad idea. Natasha wanted to see Steve pretty much 24/7, and bowling sounded nice. Natasha had been before, but only once with Sam and Steve.
"I'll ask him, but are you sure you wanna play with two super soldiers?
"I don't have to win." Yelena shrugged her shoulders. "I just wanna play."
She sent Steve a text and he answered when they were done with breakfast that he was going to come and so would James. Natasha smiled to herself, she was going to see Steve twice today after not seeing him for what felt like forever.
Yelena left with Natasha, throwing a jacket over her pajamas, taking Fanny with her for her morning walk. Her sister and Fanny accompanied her half of the way and then turned around to go back to their Christmas movies.
Natasha didn't have any classes this morning, but she was at the community center in case someone needed her help with translation or something else. A young woman that came to her Russian and Spanish courses asked for her help to fill out a job application. Mary was a smart and bright woman, and Natasha hoped that she would get the job. She definitely deserved it!
No one else showed up and Natasha decided that she could leave for Brooklyn. She was going to come back in the afternoon because she had two courses later that day.
She ran into Christa on her way out. The older woman looked amazing. She wore a dark pink wool coat and a stylish hat in the same color.
"Natasha, hi!"
"Hey."
"I'm glad I catch you!" Christa pulled a giant cookie box out of her tote bag. "Here, I made a new batch. We've got Zimtsterne, Pfefferkuchen, and Vanille Kipferl. I hope you like them. I even made Stollen cookies for your man!"
"Oh, thank you! That's so sweet of you!"
"Aha!"Christa grinned. "I knew he was your man! Last time you immediately tried to say that you don't have a boyfriend and now you're not correcting me!"
Natasha chuckled. "I guess you caught me. Yes, we're dating now!"
"That's great! You're such a lovely woman and he looks very yummy! Climb that man like a tree, Natasha!"
They both laughed.
"I'm planning to!" But when the time was right. Sex wasn't on the menu yet.
The cookie box was sitting next to her in the cab on the way to Brooklyn. She knew that Steve would love the tiny Stollen, and she would share the rest with Yelena.
Natasha walked straight to Steve's office, hoping that he didn't have a group session right now since she was a bit early.
Being a counselor fitted him so well. She had been proud of him when he'd told her years ago that he was going to do the training to become one. He had been so lost and restless after the Snap and this had given him a new purpose.
She knocked on his door and he told her to come in. His face lit up when she came into his view. Her stomach flipped at his smile. She was the reason for that happy smile. Steve stood up and came over to her.
"Hi, I missed you."
"I missed you, too." She told him truthfully. She knew that she didn't need to be embarrassed with him. He'd never use her feelings against her. She trusted him in ways she'd never trusted anyone before.
She stepped closer to him, but had forgotten that she had the cookie box in her hands. Steve chuckled, took the box and put it on his desk. He turned around and pulled her towards her.
"Let's try that again."
"I'm such a klutz."
"Now we both know that's not true!"
She tilted her head up and Steve met her half way. They both sighed into the kiss, it had been way too long. They kissed until her stomach started to growl.
"We should go to lunch." Steve mumbled and peppered kisses all over her face. His hands roamed her body. "You look great, doll."
He tried to pull away, but Natasha grabbed his collar to pull him into another kiss. "I'm not hungry." She lied and kissed him.
Steve kissed her back enthusiastically, but stopped when her stomach made another noise.
"Okay, lunch now." Natasha pouted a little. Sure she was hungry, but kissing Steve was so much better than food. Steve bit her lip, holy shit. Yeah, Christa was right, she wanted to climb him like a tree. "More kissing after we got food into you. I love kissing you, but you'll need something to eat. And I could eat, too."
"You can always eat! When are you not hungry?"
Steve's eyes went dark, his gaze wandering over her body. "I'm always hungry around you."
Oh, okay. Holy shit. "You shouldn't have said that." She warned him, ready to pounce.
His expression changed. "Oh, was it too mu-"
He couldn't finish his sentence because Natasha pretty much jumped him. She crashed her lips to his and Steve walked backwards until he found the couch. He let himself fall on it and pulled Natasha with him.
Her coat dropped to the floor and she had to pull her pencil skirt up to be able to climb into his lap, but she didn't care. She just wanted to sit on his lap and kiss him. But it wasn't simply kissing anymore, they were full on making out. She used his gasp to slip her tongue into his mouth and the hand on the small of her back moved to her ass to grab a handful. It was the hottest kiss of her life. She unbuttoned the first buttons of his shirt and ran her fingers over his clavicles. She kissed her way from his jaw to his neck and she just couldn't stop herself and sucked a little on his pulse point. Steve bucked underneath her and cupped her face to slip his tongue into her mouth. God, this felt so fucking good. She never wanted to stop.
They had to pull apart when they heard voices in the hallway. Wow, they really got carried away. Natasha had completely forgotten that they were in a public building. Steve looked...He looked so good that she wanted to jump him again. Control your hormones, woman!
"Okay, wow." Steve rasped out. "That was really something."
"I'm sorry." Natasha got up and straightened her clothes. "I got carried away."
"No, don't apologize. I liked it. A lot. But maybe next time it should be on a couch that is in one of our apartments." Steve took a deep breath. "Give me a minute or two to calm down."
She bit her lip, trying not to look at his lap. She'd felt how much he'd liked their make out session and she liked a lot what she had been sitting on.
"Biting your lip does not help, Romanoff!"
"I'm sorry." She smirked and picked up her coat. She slip into it and went to the cookie box on Steve's desk. "Want a Stollen cookie, Rogers? Christa made them for you."
"Oh!" He perked up like he always did when food was involved. "Yes!"
They had lunch at a diner a block away from the counseling center and she walked Steve back to work afterwards. She got inside with him to get the cookie box (after taking out all Stollen cookies for Steve) and he came outside with her to wait with her for her Uber. He sent her with a sweet kiss on her way back to Manhattan.
It was after six when Natasha got come from the community center. She'd taught her courses with a big smile on her face today. Being with Steve just made her so fucking happy.
Yelena seemed to be in the bathroom to get ready, but she'd make Natasha a sandwich. She was really thankful for that. She was quite hungry. Fanny watched her eating the sandwich, but Natasha was a firm believer that pets shouldn't have human food. But she wasn't heartless, so she gave Fanny a dog treat.
"Bathroom's free!" Yelena yelled and disappeared into the guestroom, Fanny quickly following her.
"Okay!"
Natasha took a quick shower and changed into something more comfortable and casual. Jeans and sweater were the right choice. Yelena was waiting for her when she left her bedroom. She had also decided to wear something comfortable, Natasha grinned when she saw that her sister's hoodie was actually a Christmas one with tiny reindeer embroidered on it. Yelena was truly embracing the Christmas theme and seemed to be slightly obsessed with reindeer.
They met at a bowling bar in Midtown that had decided against decorating for the Holidays and Natasha was actually glad. She could use a little break from Christmas. The boys were already there when Yelena and Natasha arrived. She and Steve hugged as a greeting and she took a deep breath to inhale his scent. He smelled so goddamn good.
The bowling alley that Yelena had rented was easily found and they decided to play boys against girls for the first game. Despite being super soldiers, Steve and James only won with a small lead. The next game was older siblings against younger (Steve and Bucky were like brothers after all) and this time Natasha won ( okay fine, with James' help).
They got hungry and decided to take a break to eat something. James told them over burgers, fries and beers that Steve had drawn dirty pictures and sold them as a teenager.
"Who knew Captain America was a perv!" Yelena laughed and squirted more hot sauce onto her fries.
Steve blushed which made Natasha want to squeeze his cheeks and kiss him. "I needed the money so I could buy back my ma's wedding and engagement rings. She pawned it for my medicine and that was all she had left of my father."
"Oh, shit. Now I feel bad that I called you a perv. Sorry!"
"Nah, don't be." James grinned. "He also used some of the money to buy booze. Boy, did he get wasted! He ended up kissing the neighbor's daughter and then threw up on her shoes. Their love story ended before it even started. So tragic! "
"Buck, c'mon!" Steve whined, not meeting Natasha's gaze.
"And I know for a fact that he kept a copy of the dirty picture!" Looked like James was on a roll now. Poor Steve. There was no need to be embarrassed, it appeared that he had been a just normal teenage boy and she was happy for him that he'd had that experience.
"Like you didn't keep one!" Steve shot back. "And you also got caught with your head underneath Betty Smith's skirt and her father chased you around Brooklyn!"
Now James looked flustered. "Steve please, there are ladies present!"
"I don't see any ladies." Yelena looked around and then smirked at Steve and James. "Tell me more funny stories!"
Steve and James were now trying to outdo each other, telling embarrassing anecdotes about the other one. Men were so weird. But at least Natasha and Yelena had a lot of fun, listening to them. They stayed until the bowling bar closed.
Natasha still didn't really know how it happened and it looked like James didn't either, but Yelena had invited herself to James' weekly Bingo night at a retirement home. Natasha wasn't even sure if Yelena even knew what Bingo actually was. But James had admitted defeat and told her where it was. She'd figured he was used to it from his own little sister.
And Yelena going to Bingo night meant that Natasha could see Steve without her baby sister trying to find out where she was going. Steve's look had told her that he had the same thought, he had given her a little smile while Yelena had been pestering James to let her come tomorrow night.
Back at home, Natasha called Steve while Yelena was walking Fanny before it was time for bed.
"Dirty pictures, huh?" She said as a greeting.
Steve groaned. "I wish Buck would have kept his mouth shut. He always loved to embarrass me. I don't even know why we're friends."
"Now that's a lie."
"Yeah, I guess he's okay." Steve admitted and Natasha chuckled. "And it wasn't even that scandalous. It was a woman in a short dress. Nothing more, or less in this case."
"Nothing to be embarrassed about, Steve."
"So you don't mind?"
"No, why would I?" She asked, a bit confused.
"I don't know. And then Buck told you about Dorothy..."
"I'm fine. Don't worry. You had a life before me." He was very considerate about her feelings, but it wasn't necessary. "I would be a hypocrite if I would get mad about something like that. Now tell me how many girls have you kissed?"
Steve snorted. "Not a lot. I didn't really date, remember? I wasn't completely unlucky, but it wasn't like girls were lining up for me."
"How lucky did you get?" Natasha blurted out without thinking. "Shit, I'm sorry. That's none of my business!"
"No, it's okay. You can ask me that. I've got some experience, but I never gone all the way if that's what you were wondering."
"I have. Gone all the way, I mean." She said and cringed a little at herself.
"I figured." He didn't sound like it bothered him. "At least one of us should know what to do when it happens." She could hear the grin in his voice.
"Oh, so it will happen?"
"Well, I'm really hoping it will. Eventually." His voice dropped low.
"Me, too." She whispered back. "I've never wanted anyone as much as I want you. I keep thinking about what happened on the couch today."
She heard Steve groan through the phone. "Me, too. I loved it, it was so fucking good...Fuck...We need to stop before I'll speed like a mad man to Manhattan. You have no idea what you do to me, sweetheart."
Judging by the way her body was reacting to his voice and the things he was saying, she had an idea. A really vivid idea. "I'll have to take a cold shower."
"Don't tell me that! Now I'm picturing you under the shower, you minx!" He sounded tortured. She knew it was a little bit mean, but she was having fun.
"I'll be thinking about you in the shower!"
"Okay, that is it! I'm hanging up now, you little tease!"
Natasha laughed. She loved to see this new side of Steve. "I'll see you tomorrow?"
"Yes, my place tomorrow night. You sure you want us to cook? We're both not that great at it."
"Yeah, it will be fun."
"If you say so. Goodnight, sweetheart."
"Goodnight...honey." She whispered and she heard his breath hitch. That gave her courage, she wasn't really one to use pet names, but Steve was special. She loved him and she wanted him to know that he was special to her. "I can't wait for our second date, honey."
