Reversal of Fortune: Chapter 11: Visitation Rights

(Time Skip: Loud House, 15 minutes later)

When Rita and Lynn Jr. opened the door to the Loud House, they were greeted with the usual sights and sounds of the Loud House: kids fighting over the TV remote, music blasting, girls yelling, and glass breaking, among other things.

Watching the scene in front of her, Lynn Jr. quipped, "No place like home," to which Rita chuckled, "Yeah." When Rita blew her playground whistle before yelling, "FAMILY MEETING! IN THE LIVING ROOM!", Lynn Sr. and all of the kids scrambled for seats on the living room's couches and chairs.

After everyone sat down, Rita informed the family, "Lynn Sr., girls, Junior, Lisa, and I found Lincoln."

Everyone but Rita, Lynn Jr., and Lisa immediately cheered loudly and swarmed the trio with congratulatory hugs and compliments.

"Nice going, girls!", Lynn Sr. cheered.

"Literally amazing!", Lori complimented.

"Found? Wait, is this a game of hide-and-seek?", Leni asked.

"Way to go, dudettes!", Luna bellowed.

"Whewy! We sure are LUCKY we found him, get it?", Luan quipped, to the groans of her siblings.

"Thank you, spirits," Lucy blankly celebrated.

"YES! LINCOLN'S BACK!", Lana screamed.

"EEE! WE'RE LUCKY AGAIN!", Lola squealed.

"Hahahaha, Incon!", Lily babbled.

Once they were done, Lori asked, "Where did you find him? I literally need my good luck charm back for Wednesday's game!"

Lola concurred, "YEAH, AND I NEEDED HIM FOR MY PAGEANT TONIGHT!"

As the rest of the Loud siblings yelled different things they needed Lincoln for, Rita used her whistle again to quiet them down. She then sadly informed them, "Girls… Lincoln won't be going to any of your events."

Lynn Sr. and the girls gasped before exclaiming in unison, "Why?", before continuing to assault Rita with reasons as to why Lincoln would be needed as a good luck charm at their events.

Rita then sighed, "Lisa, if you must." When all eyes turned to Lisa, she sighed, "Sibling units… father unit… our male sibling unit is currently in Royal Woods Hospital."

For a few seconds, the room went completely silent before Leni stammered, "B-but why? Is he sick? Can we go see him? As long as he's in the squirrel suit, though."

Lisa sighed, "Second-eldest sibling unit, I could not obtain the necessary information as to why our male sibling unit is currently at Royal Woods Hospital," causing Leni to gasp.

Luan uttered, "Wait, how do you know Lincoln's at the hospital? We haven't been able to find him since his time on the beach Sunday afternoon!"

Lynn Jr. blurted out, "Oh, Lisa showed me this big computer thing, and there was a bright orange dot that pointed right to where Lincoln was. We went there, and they said he was in the hospital."

The previously unaware Louds gasped and became uneasy as Lynn Sr. thought aloud, "Hmm… a bright orange dot pointing directly to Lincoln's location, Lisa's brains and her science experiments…" before gasping in realization. Lynn Sr. then glared at Lisa before demanding, "Lisa… what did you do?"

As Lisa noticed the glares of her other siblings and mother also focus on her, she quickly said, "Well, look at that, it's bedtime for me," before trying to run upstairs.

However, the rest of the Louds physically blocked Lisa's path upstairs before Rita warned, "Now, Lisa, we understand that you have your scientific curiosities. So, we're going to give you one chance, especially since I know where you keep that computer. If you tell the truth now, you can go to bed. If you try to get out of this, I'm sending that computer back where it came from. So Lisa, I'm going to ask you just this once: how did you pinpoint Lincoln's exact location?"

She admitted, "I… may have inserted a tracking chip inside Lincoln's amygdala a few months ago."

The more well-read Louds gasped at Lisa's frank confession, while the younger ones struggled to fully comprehend what Lisa had said.

Lana was the first to ask, "What's an amygdala?"

Lisa explained, "The amygdala is the region of the brain primarily associated with emotional processing."

The Louds gasped in horror before Leni cried, "O-M-GOSH! LINCOLN HAS A CHIP IN HIS BRAIN? WHY DOESN'T HE PULL IT OUT AND EAT IT?"

Lana exclaimed, "So Lincoln's a robot now? Cool!", before asking, "Can he shoot laser beams out of his eyes?"

Lisa groaned, "No, second-eldest sibling, and no, eldest twin sister unit. A tracking chip will pinpoint the location of our male sibling unit anywhere, at any time."

Luna asked, "Wait… so, you knew where Lincoln was this whole time, and you didn't tell us? Who knows what could've happened to us?! Why would you put us at risk like that?"

The rest of the siblings and parents joined Luna in scolding Lisa for "putting the family in danger, to which Lisa spilled, "Firstly, I derived great enjoyment from our time at the beach. I must have lost focus, and I apologize."

Luan punned, "Aww… it's cool, Lis. But you're on thin ice now! Hahahaha! Get it?", to which the rest of her family groaned.

After Lisa finished groaning, she told Luan, "If you're finished, fourth-eldest sibling unit, I can continue." After Luan sat down and mimed a zipping motion on her lips, Lisa thanked her before continuing, "On to my next point. Family units, allow me to present you something," before taking the squirrel suit from Lynn Jr. and presenting it to her family. When the Louds saw the squirrel suit's condition, they gasped and recoiled in disgust.

Lynn Sr. queasily groaned, "Excuse me gang, I-I got to go to the bathroom," before running up to the bathroom, slamming the door shut, and vomiting in the toilet bowl.

Lori yelled, "LITERALLY DISGUSTING!"

Leni screamed, "EWWW!"

Luna cried, "THAT'S GRODY, DUDE!"

Luan yelped, "Jeez, Louise! Sure SMELLS like trouble! Hahaha, get it?"

Lucy said blankly, "Gag."

"OH GOD, IT SMELLS AWFUL!", Lola yelled, before her face also turned green and she ran out of the room to puke in Ol' Slushie.

Meanwhile, Lana yelled, "Let me smell!", before running close to the squirrel suit, sniffing it, and delightedly saying, "Oh yeah… that's the stuff."

Lily then giggled, "Poo-poo!", to which Lori and Luan said simultaneously, "Literally!"

Lisa shouted at her siblings, "If you could all calm down, I could explain the situation further."

While holding her nose, Lori said, "No need… just get that thing out of my sight!"

Then, Lynn Jr. said, "Wow, Lis… Lincoln really messed up the squirrel suit!," before asking Lisa, "Why didn't you think of putting a tracking chip on the suit when Lincoln found it?"

Lisa quavered, "Um... didn't have enough time, what with my other projects going on. Besides, with us keeping Lincoln in the squirrel suit at all times, a tracking chip on the suit itself would have been redundant."

Lynn Jr. scolded Lisa, "Well, that's just great, because Lincoln escaped, and we were at risk of bad luck for a day! A day! Do you know how much can go wrong in a day?"

Lisa scoffed, "Evidently."

As the rest of her siblings gagged, Lynn Jr. demanded "OK, Leni. Since we found Stinkoln, time's of the essence. I need you to make a new squirrel suit… ASAP."

Leni shrieked, "WHAT? EWW! I'M NOT WORKING WITH THAT THING!"

Lori sighed, "Leni, it's for the good of the family, and your own good. You don't want your fashion shows to be ruined, do you?"

Leni immediately screamed in terror at that thought before taking the squirrel suit from Lisa's hands and running upstairs with it to make a new, preferably less disgusting, squirrel suit for Lincoln to wear when they took him home. As Leni left the room, Lynn Sr. and Lola returned from their bathroom breaks, and the rest of the Louds began to quiet down.

Once they did, Lisa continued, "Thank you. Now, as I was saying…"

Luna interrupted Lisa, "Hold up, dude! You said you put a tracking chip in Lincoln! You didn't put those in us, did you?"

At that moment, little blinking lights emitted from the brains of every Loud in the room except for Lisa. Lisa looked at her tracking radar, and saw color-coded dots, with each dot representing a sibling, blinking onscreen, prompting her to press a button to make the tracking chips stop beeping. She succeeded before wickedly saying, "Noooo…"

Lori immediately grabbed Lisa by her shirt collar before roaring, "YOU DID, DIDN'T YOU? IF YOU DON'T REMOVE THOSE TRACKING CHIPS FROM ALL OF US RIGHT NOW, I WILL LITERALLY TURN YOU INTO A HUMAN PRETZEL!"

The rest of the Louds screamed in agreement, demanding Lisa to remove the tracking chips from them. Lisa nervously darted her eyes around the room looking for a distraction before she focused on Lynn Jr. When she did, she implored her family, "G-guys… umm… our fifth-eldest sibling unit has something to say," before shoving Lynn Jr. to the front of the crowd and urging her, "Tell them!"

Lynn Jr. squeaked, "I'm not sure…" before Lisa whispered to her, "I know you snuck into Lincoln's hospital room."

Lynn Jr. gasped before grabbing Lisa by her shirt collar and growling, "You're not telling anybody about that."

Lisa interrupted her, "And I know why you wanted to locate Lincoln. Now, you tell our parental units, or I will. And knowing you had close contact with an unprotected Lincoln, our parental units might kick you out for being bad luck. Oh, the irony. So what's it gonna be?"

Lynn Jr. huffed, "Fine," before explaining to her family, "I asked Lisa for Lincoln's location because he stole and messed up the squirrel suit, so Coach Williams and I agreed that we had to put him in juvie. Said he could get 5 years due to the value of the squirrel suit."

The rest of the Loud sisters gasped in horror before glaring at Lynn Jr. Lori stomped over to Lynn Jr. and snapped, "You what?"

Lynn Jr. sassed, "You heard me. Lincoln is technically a criminal for stealing the squirrel suit," before looking back to Lisa and asking her to "back her up."

Lisa sighed, "It's true. According to Michigan state law, the consequence for felony larceny for property between $1,000 and $20,000 is imprisonment for no more than 5 years and/or a fine of $10,000 or 3 times the value of the property stolen, whichever is greater. According to eBuy, a similar mascot suit was last appraised at around $6,000."

The rest of the Louds hardened their glares at Lynn Jr. while Lori immediately narrowed her eyes and pressed her face right up against Lynn Jr.'s. Instead of yelling, she hissed, "Lynnie… remember the loaf of bread?"

Lynn Jr. gulped, "Yup."

Lori growled, "Tomorrow morning, Lynnie. You know what you're getting for breakfast. Don't. Be. Late."

Then, Leni sprinted downstairs holding the squirrel suit and wailed, "O-M-GOSH, LOOK AT LINKY'S SQUIRREL SUIT? WHAT HAPPENED TO LINKY? CAN WE SEE HIM IN THE HOSPITAL?", before starting to cry.

Lynn Jr. countered, "NO, YOU CAN'T! HE'S BAD…"

The rest of the Loud sisters interrupted, "SHUT UP, LYNN!"

Rita sighed, "Sorry girls, we can't. Bedtime's coming up for you guys, and you guys need your rest."

The rest of the girls groaned before Lola agreed, "Well, that is true. I do need my beauty sleep."

Rita then warned Lisa, "Besides… if memory serves me right, you have 11 brain surgeries to perform. 10 now, and 1 more whenever Lincoln gets back from hospital."

Lisa affirmed, "That is true, mother. Now, who wants to volunteer to go first?"

Lola immediately screeched, "MEEEEEEEEEEE!", as she rushed to Lisa's room like a pink blur.

Lisa deadpanned, "Well, that went better than expected."

Lynn Jr. pleaded, "You don't have to remove the tracking chip from me, Lisa!"

The rest of the Loud siblings gasped before Lisa asked, "Why, Lynn? You know, the tracking chip is in your pituitary gland, which controls your height?"

Lynn Jr. mused, "So this is why I'm so short."

When Lisa nodded, Lynn Jr. scoffed, "Pssh…. who cares? I love my new personality! Keep the chip in!"

Lisa sighed, "If you say so."

Lucy blankly said, "I'll go last." When the Loud siblings asked why, Lucy responded, "I don't know. I just feel."

Lana then offered, "Ooh, I'll go second-last," before doing robotic moves while pretending, "I. am. A. robot. Bzzzz. I. am. Robot. Lana. Bzzzzzz.", sparking much laughter from her family.

Lisa then asked, "Any other volunteers?"

Leni chirped, "Ooh, I'll go first!"

Lisa sighed, "Lola's already going first."

Leni moaned in disappointment, "Aww," before asking, "Can I go second?"

Lisa said blankly, "Yes."

At that, Leni scooped Lisa off the ground and cheered, "EEE! THANKS, LIS!", before skipping off to her room.

Lisa asked again, "Any other volunteers?"

When no one else raised their hands, Lisa said, "Good. As for the rest of you, I will be determining the order of your chip removals randomly. If all goes according to plan, I should have everybody's chips removed by the end of the night."

Luna responded, "Alright. Thanks, dude!"

Lisa said, "Anytime." She then requested of Rita, "Now, maternal unit, in exchange for the removal and deactivation of the tracking chips from my family units, I demand that I can take tomorrow off from school."

Rita agreed, "Deal," before shaking Lisa's hand.

Lisa replied, "Pleasure doing business with you."

Rita chuckled while ruffling Lisa's hair, "Pleasure's all mine. Now, get to work on Lola's surgery, little genius."

Lisa affirmed, "Yes, maternal unit. I have not a moment to waste," before walking upstairs to Lola and Lana's room to start Lola's surgery.

As the remaining Louds walked to their respective bedrooms, Lucy took a ladder up to the attic to think about everything she had just seen and heard. While Lincoln did steal the squirrel suit, having him spend 5 years in juvenile hall for that was both cruel and potentially detrimental to the Louds' luck. So, Lucy decided to dig through the Louds' stuff for something she could use to bring good luck back to the family. While doing so, she came across a dark brown wooden trunk. She saw the tag on the trunk and noticed that the trunk belonged to Great-Grandma Harriet. After remembering the tense conversation she had with Harriet the previous night, Lucy hoped that she could apologize before any more bad luck or troubling revelations befell the family. After also taking out a crystal ball and skulls from the trunk, she noticed its secret compartment. Curious, she said to herself, "Ooh, what's this?", and opened the compartment. When she did, she found a thick red book, picked it up, and blew the dust off, allowing her to clearly read the book's title: "Ancient Book of Spells."

Lucy gasped, "Whoa," before scrolling through the book's array of spells. She decided to look at the back of the book for a glossary, which she fortunately found. Upon looking at the "L" section of the glossary, she found what she was looking for: the word, "luck." Scrolling down the tabbed words underneath "luck," she then found the second word she was looking for: "change, bad to good 80."

She then scrolled through the book, "Hmm… page 80, page 80…", and when she stopped at page 80, she smiled, "Aha."

She then read, "This spell must be executed with the person you're wishing good luck upon in your presence. If this person is unable to be reached, you can perform the ritual in a place where he roams by day or sleeps by night."

After musing, "For the ritual to work best, I have to go to Lincoln's room," Lucy sleuthed her way into Lincoln's closet. Once there, she closed the door and sat on the hard floor, with all of the furniture having since been removed. She then turned the book back to page 80, re-read the listed instructions, and began reciting the words of the ritual.

"Forces of luck, hear my voice
I summon thee to make my choice
Relinquish your grasp upon my brother
And reward him with wonders, one after another!
Divine spirits, guard him to his last breath
Protect our good luck charm from a most grievous death!
Clear from his soul this unhappy distortion
And bless Lincoln Loud with a Reversal of Fortune!"

As Lucy closed the book and climbed back to the attic where she found it, the faint sounds of rumbling thunder could be heard in the distance. Lucy didn't know it, but in the spirit world, Great-Grandma Harriet looked down at Lucy blankly, nodding her head in approval. She said to herself, my great-granddaughter, as you have wished it, so it shall be.

(Scene Change: Home Office, Sweetwater Manor, 10:30 PM)

The Sweetwaters were frantically filling out Lincoln's adoption forms. Brian and Linda solicited their colleagues for references that they could submit to the Michigan courts. Becky added as as many details as she remembered about Lincoln's house and living situation from her numerous talks with Lori and Leni, her own observations, and Lincoln's own description of the house from the previous night. Paige was calling Girl Jordan, since she didn't have the phone numbers of Clyde, Liam, Zach, or Rusty. Lindsay, the only Sweetwater not on a phone, was writing down the necessary information on the forms, with her parents promising to sign whatever was necessary. As they worked, they heard the home phone ring, freezing them in place. When they saw the caller ID, they steeled themselves, preparing for the worst.

Linda and Brian glanced at each other before Linda assured her husband, "I'll get it. You keep working." She picked up the phone and put it on speaker for the whole family to hear.

Linda then said into the phone, "Hello, this is Linda Sweetwater speaking."

A suave voice replied, "Hey, Linda, this is Dr. Chase. Is your family with you?"

Linda said, "Yeah," before asking, "So, what happened with the surgery? Is the tracking chip out?"

Dr. Chase exhaled, "The tracking chip is out and disabled, and the surgery was a success. Lincoln pulled through."

For the next minute, the Sweetwaters loudly cheered and squealed as they celebrated Lincoln's survival. Dr. Chase repeatedly chuckled, "Calm down," but couldn't be heard over the Sweetwaters' overjoyed screams.

Once the Sweetwaters calmed down, Dr. Chase chuckled, "Alright, now that everyone's calm, Lincoln's condition is stable, but he's going to need his rest. You can visit him if you want to, but try not to overwhelm him. Do you guys want to visit him?"

The Sweetwaters simultaneously cheered, "Yeah!"

Dr. Chase laughed, "Alright," before asking, "When do you guys want to visit?"

Linda said, "We'll be there in 15 minutes."

Dr. Chase exclaimed, "Great! See you then!"

Linda chirped, "See ya!", before hanging up and effusing, "Girls, get ready! We're going to see Lincoln!"

The Sweetwater siblings squealed and rushed to the family van. Brian and Linda followed close behind, carrying folders stuffed with adoption documentation in their hands. When the Sweetwater parents stepped into the garage, they noticed Becky cooing to Carol, "Yeah, girl, he's OK! Of course you can come see him!" Observing their kids' enthusiasm to see Lincoln, Brian and Linda chuckled to themselves appreciatively before driving off to the hospital.

As the Sweetwaters took off, Becky let her parents know, "OK, so I just got off the phone with Carol, and the Pingreys also want to come and visit Lincoln."

Linda beamed, "That's wonderful, honey!"

(Scene Change: Royal Woods Hospital, 10:45 PM)

As the Sweetwater family got out of their van and started walking to the lobby, they heard and saw a fancy black car pull up right beside where theirs was parked. After seeing Carol and her parents file out of the car, the Sweetwaters walked to the Pingreys and hugged their counterparts, with Paige and Lindsay offering to merely shake hands with Carol.

When Linda asked, "Where's Cassandra and Connor?", Leslie explained, "Had to put them to bed early. You know, school night and all."

Linda nodded, "OK," as the two families then walked into the hospital together. Once they arrived at the receptionist's desk, Brian told Karla, "Hey, we're here to visit Lincoln Loud."

Karla replied, "Alright, let me just check my files. There's 8 of you, we were expecting 5." After doing so, she told the group, "Lincoln's in room 502. Take the elevator up to the 5th floor, first door to your right."

Brian thanked Karla before leading the group to Room 502 to visit Lincoln. While opening the door, he motioned to the group, "Come on guys… let's go."

Upon seeing Lincoln in the hospital bed, the group saw 2 nurses attending to Lincoln. Everyone but Lindsay immediately recognized one of the nurses as Maria Santiago.

Maria, recognizing the Sweetwaters and Pingreys, greeted, "Oh, good, you guys are here. I'm gonna step aside and let you guys talk to Lincoln."

Paige asked Maria, "How's Ronnie Anne?"

Maria gapsed before sighing, "Got herself suspended for 2 days. ISS today, & she's going to be staying home tomorrow. She'll be back Wednesday. Oh, and she's grounded for the next week."

Paige apologized, "Look, I'm sorry… I should've never let it come to that."

Maria put her hand on Paige's shoulder as she reassured her, "Hey, it's OK. You seem to like Lincoln as much as she does. I have a feeling you two will get along just fine."

Everyone laughed before Maria encouraged, "Now, come on… go visit your friend," while stepping aside to let the Sweetwaters and Pingreys be at Lincoln's bedside.

Carl then stepped back and told the Sweetwaters, "You guys first. You deserve it… for everything you've done."

Brian responded, "Thank you, Carl." When Brian glanced at Carol, he gasped before asking her, "Hey, listen, Carol, you're good with social media. Why don't you record this and send it to Lincoln for him to watch when he wakes up?"

Carol smiled, "Yeah, sure," before starting to record the visit on her phone.

After that, Brian and Linda immediately went to either side of Lincoln's bed. Brian choked, "S-son. W-we love you. You shouldn't have had to go through this. You're the best boy I've ever met. And once again, I'm personally so sorry for buying your furniture. We're going to take care of your family… don't worry about that. When you wake up… it's go time."

Linda then choked back tears as she whimpered, "L-Lincoln. M-my baby boy. We're so happy God kept you safe and sound. Y-you're welcome to stay with us… as long as you want. We're going to take that furniture we bought and make your room better than you could have ever imagined. I love you so much."

After Linda's affectionate words, Brian and Linda gave Lincoln kisses on either side of his forehead before making room for Carl and Leslie Pingrey, who also went to either side of Lincoln's bed.

Carl murmured, "Lincoln, we're so sorry about buying your clothes when the Louds sold it to us. We didn't know. But now that we do… we're going to do everything to make it up to you."

Leslie sniffled, "We're even going to participate in this little plan you guys have going on. Don't think I don't know… Carol told me everything."

The Pingrey parents pulled Lincoln in for a group hug before stepping aside for Carol and Becky.

Becky tenderly joked, "Hey, Lincolnovich," causing the Sweetwaters and Carol to giggle. She then cooed, "Glad you're safe. We love you so much. And don't listen to your sisters… Ace Savvy slaps. And so does your costume. I'd let you wear that costume… anytime, anywhere. And when you wake up… we're gonna deal out some real justice to your sisters."

Carol then said in a motherly tone, "Lincoln. You're the sweetest kid I've ever met. And like Mr. Sweetwater said, you didn't deserve what happened to you. If there's anything you need… anything… just let me know."

Becky and Carol then simultaneously kissed Lincoln on either cheek before making room for Lindsay and Paige.

Lindsay tearfully admitted, "L-Lincoln. When I first met you, I thought you were some dorky nerd who I could use to get ahead of Lola. But now… I realize… Lola doesn't deserve you. None of those meanies do. I may come in second to Lola in beauty pageants, but I beat her where it really matters," pointing to her heart. She then continued, "Thanks for showing me what a real winner is. And when you wake up… we're going to come in first place over those Louds… once and for all."

Lindsay then kissed Lincoln on the forehead before telling the rest of the group to leave the room. Once Lindsay caught up with Becky and Carol, she motioned to them to look at Paige, and slyly whispered, "I think it's best we leave those two alone." When Lindsay said that, Becky, Carol, and her glanced at each other, smirked, and started giggling to themselves.

Back in Lincoln's hospital room, Paige wailed, "Lincoln… Linky… I'm so, so, so sorry for everything that evil family of yours has put you through. I love you… with all my heart. Welcome to the Sweetwater family. And I promise, Linky… we will make those jerks pay for what they did to you. I promise."

Paige then kissed Lincoln close to the side of his lip, and held the kiss for a little longer than her parents, sisters, and Carol did. When Paige finally left the room alongside her family and the Pingreys, she cried into Becky's arms. Becky comforted Paige by hugging her tightly and rubbing her back like she did when Paige was a baby. As the Sweetwaters and Pingreys left, Carol texted the footage of the hospital visit to her parents, Becky, and Lincoln.

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 4; 7:00 AM
LYNN JR. AND LUCY'S BEDROOM, LOUD HOUSE

After stepping on a crack during a superstitious dance, Lynn Jr. yelled, "Oh no! Step on a crack, break your mama's back!", before shrieking, "MAN UP! MAN UP!"

She then ran to Lucy's coffin, and slammed it open & shut extremely hard four times in a row, yelling out with each slam, "1, 2, 3, 4," causing Lucy and the rest of the house's occupants to groan. Lynn Jr. wasn't paying attention, though, as she high-fived the wall before appearing to dust her clothes off. She then shuffled to her left-hand side before yelling, "C-RACK!" while staring at Lucy with her eyes bugged out.

Lucy pleaded, "Lynn... will you please, for the love of the spirits, be quiet?!"

Lynn Jr. snapped, "YOU AIN'T SUPPOSED TO TALK! JINX! DOUBLE JINX! TRIPLE JINX! GOOGOOLPLEX! DANG!" She then went back to Lucy's coffin, slamming it open & shut extremely quickly repeatedly as Lucy sighed in annoyed helplessness. As she walked away, she tried to remind Lynn, "You know... we're going to..."

Lynn Jr. again interrupted Lucy, ironically yelling, "INTERRUPTSIES!" She then tried to stretch to touch each of her toes with the opposite arm, while yelling alternating "Arrumph!" and "Doyiyah!" chants at each stretch. After repeating this 4 times, she thumped her chest 4 times with each hand before yelling, "JINX, JINX, GO AWAY, COME AGAIN ANOTHER DAY!" She then crossed her arms in front of her while stomping around the room, each step marked by her flapping her hands. She then touched her thighs before bringing her clasped hands above her head, after which she shimmied and screamed, "Ohhhh!", before running back to Lucy's coffin & slamming it open & shut twice more before leaning on it & posing like a white suburban wannabe gangster.

Once Lucy saw Lynn Jr. pose on her coffin, she deadpanned, "You done? You almost smashed my coffin."

Lynn Jr. retorted, "But I didn't, Luce! You don't understand how important today is to me!"

Lucy snarked, "Is that why you're dancing like an ape, waking up everybody in the house way too early for comfort?"

Lynn Jr. gasped, "You know what, Lucy, you're right! Maybe I shouldn't be doing all these dances... I'm sorry."

A surprised Lucy thanked Lynn Jr. as Lynn Jr. encouraged, "Come on, let's go brush our teeth! WOOHOO!"

Lucy simply said, "Sigh," before following Lynn Jr. out of her room.

As Lynn Jr. glared at Lincoln's staircase wall photo, she gasped in realization before evilly smirking. She then suggested to Lucy, "Hey, what if we got all of Lincoln's photos together and burned them? Yeah! Yeah, let's do that! You're good with spooky rituals & stuff, you'd be perfect to help me out!"

Lucy declined, "Hard pass. Especially after that sage-burning incident I had with the Junior Morticians Club last summer. Note to self: never try to start a fire without firewood." She then deadpanned, "Actually, I digress. Why don't you just sell the pictures like you did all of Lincoln's other stuff? Think about it... you're gonna be up for some new ice skates soon, with winter coming up."

Lynn Jr., gasped, "You know what, you're right! Thanks, Luce! Always knew I could count on you!" She then noogied Lucy before running out of her room, calling out, "Hey, Lori!", while banging on her and Leni's room door.

An irritated Lori slammed the door open, yelling at Lynn Jr., "WHAT IS IT? CAN'T YOU SEE I'M TRYING TO TALK TO BOBBY?"

Lynn Jr. urged Lori, "Forget that! How would you like to make some more money?"

Lori gasped before saying, "Sorry, Bobby, family emergency," into her phone. After hanging up, she stated, "I'm listening."

Lynn Jr. proposed, "OK. What if we sell Lincoln's photos? You know, just to get rid of any bad luck vibes? And remember how you sold them to Carol to pass the bad luck onto her? Well, we can just sell them to her again."

Lori gasped before grinning, "Hold that thought, Lynn! I'm gonna DM Carol right now to see if she needs some 'extra house decorations!' And you know what... you saved yourself from a bread beating!" She then said, "Keep it up, Lynn. I'm watching you," before slamming her room door shut in Lynn Jr.'s face.

Lynn Jr. proudly fist-pumped as she pulled down a rope revealing the ladder to the attic. As she made it up the ladder's final step, Lucy popped up right behind her with an orange book in hand, taunting, "Looking for this?"

Lynn Jr. yelped before stammering, "H-how did you do that?"

Lucy sneered, "Believe me... I'm everywhere."

Lynn Jr. shouted, "Give me that!"

Lucy panted, "No. Because while watching you frantically search for this, I came up with a better idea."

Lynn Jr. grunted , "Oh, and what could that be, spooky? What could possibly be better than Lincoln's money and selling the book to one of our family's rivals? Besides, you were the one that came up with the idea to sell those photos, so just hand the book over."

Lucy deadpanned, "I was being sarcastic, you literal-minded jerk."

Lynn Jr. then tackled Lucy to the ground and tried to wrest control of the photo album from her hands. Despite Lynn Jr.'s much superior strength, Lucy held onto the book with all her might and put up a surprisingly good fight. While trying to pull the album towards her, Lucy grunted, "Why don't you just let me keep the photo album? You know how I like cursed objects."

Lynn Jr. grunted, "Are you mad? Why would you want to keep a cursed object in our house?"

Lucy explained, "You should know... I'm a goth. And if you truly knew anything about luck & superstition, you'd know that for those of us into the dark arts, what's bad luck for someone like you is good luck for someone like me, and vice versa. So if you want your whole family to be lucky, let me have the photo album. I'll decide how to deal with it."

Lynn Jr. sighed, "Fine, here you go," as she let go of the book and got off of Lucy. As Lynn Jr. walked away from their shared room, she muttered to herself, "Spooky girl."

As Lucy put the book away in her box of superstitious items, she heard Lynn Jr. inform Lori, "Hey, the deal's off."

Lori yelled, "DEAL'S OFF? HOW COME?"

Lynn Jr. sighed, "Lucy decided that the book of Lincoln's photos was somehow lucky for her, and she decided to keep it. I don't know, dark arts stuff & whatever."

Lori groaned before opening the door and telling Lynn, "Come in." When Lynn Jr. obliged, she saw Leni could be seen combing her hair for the day and Lori sitting on her bed. Lori then tapped her hand next to where she was sitting.

After Lynn Jr. sat down on the spot Lori tapped, Lori explained, "Lynn... I've gotta be honest with you... the idea of selling Lincoln's photos... that was going a little too far for me."

Lynn Jr. snapped, "How come? He's bad..."

Lori interrupted, "I don't want to hear it. Look, we agreed to this, Lincoln's good luck in the squirrel suit, so as long as Leni makes a new one & can get him back into it, we're good. And even if she doesn't, all Lincoln has to do is stay away from us, and we're OK. And between you and me... letting Lucy keep Lincoln's photo album is literally one of the sweetest things you've ever done." Lori then ruffled her sister's hair, complimenting her, "Good work on preventing another Sister Fight Protocol," before walking out of the room.

(Scene Change: Royal Woods Hospital, 4:30 PM)

A small crowd of well-wishers had gathered outside Room 502 to show support for Lincoln as he recovered from his brain surgery. Flowers, balloons, toys, and even comic books were among the gifts at Lincoln's bedside. Cassandra had just finished tying up a "Get Well Soon!" balloon to hang on Lincoln's bedframe, with Carol following that up by putting Lincoln's phone on his bedside and hooking it up to an unused outlet to leave it on charge. This was right after Becky, Paige, and Lindsay had put an unopened Ace Savvy comic, Bun-Bun, and an Ace Savvy action figure, respectively, at Lincoln's bedside. In a repeat of the previous day's visit, kisses on the cheek ensued.

After the Pingreys left Room 502, Girl Jordan and Mollie walked to each side of Lincoln's bed. They gasped and felt their eyes grow watery in pity for Lincoln when they saw him, but pressed on.

Presenting Lincoln an envelope signed, "To: Lincoln", Girl Jordan stuttered, "H-hey Lincoln. W-we got you this card. It's from all of us. Except Rusty. He's a jerk."

Mollie quipped, "Yeah… the less we talk about that, the better."

After Girl Jordan and Mollie bitterly chuckled at the mention of Rusty, Girl Jordan tearfully apologized, "Lincoln… I'm so, so, sorry. For everything. For the way I treated you. For ditching you when you needed me. For all the times I turned on you… when really, it was your sisters' fault. Coming to your house, I always thought your sisters were sweet, kind, and loving… if a little overbearing. But now… oh god. But it doesn't matter now. We're going to get them back, for everything." She then left a copy of the new Ace Savvy's Bad Costume Day video game at Lincoln's bedside.

Mollie whimpered, "Lincoln… I'm sorry too… about everything. Like many of the others have said… you didn't deserve to be treated like that by your so-called family. Some family they were. Really, for surviving the situations you've been through… massive props to you. And like Girl Jordan said… they will not get away with this. No one will. Between Rusty and Ronnie Anne, 2 down… a lot more to go." Mollie then left a trophy with "Cannonball Champ: Lincoln Loud" embroidered on the golden plaque on the bottom at Lincoln's bedside before she and Girl Jordan hugged Lincoln and left the room.

Kat and Joy entered the room as Girl Jordan and Mollie left Lincoln's room. When Kat reached Lincoln's bedside, she gave him a signed Rip Hardcore backpack before solemnly telling him, "Lincoln… I'm so sorry about saying I wanted to 'totally destroy you' after the Girl Guru thing. Now that I know what really happened, I'm reserving that rage for your sisters. And believe me… we will 'totally destroy them'.

Next, Joy gave Lincoln a signed copy of Rip Hardcore's latest book, Rip Hardcore's Urban Survival Guide, while teasing him, "Hey, 'Girl Guru'. With how you survived that madhouse… you might as well be. What was the name of that sister who liked frogs… the dirty one… Lana was it? You don't have to worry about her. I'm gonna personally take care of her. That is a promise. And as for the rest of them… they're gonna have more than pies on their face. You've got more people behind you than you know, Linc. Let's start over by bringing these monsters to justice."

After Kat and Joy left Lincoln's room, Sadie and Cristina walked in with tears running down their cheeks. As Sadie walked to Lincoln's bedside, she told him, "Hey, Lincoln. I heard you were into magic, so my dad & I bought you this Amazing Brailster magic set. Compliments from the hospital & all. I hope you'll like it." Sadie then continued, "Lincoln… I heard about what happened from Paige and my dad. I'm so sorry. I hope you can hear me, but I want you to know that I understand why you did a lot of what you did. You wanted to be recognized in a house of mad girls. No big deal. And trust me… by the end of this, they will 'remember the name'."

As Sadie walked away from Lincoln's bedside, she glanced at Cristina, who nervously gulped. Steeling herself as she approached Lincoln's bedside, Cristina softly cried, "L-L-Lincoln. L-Linky. I'm so, so sorry. I was so creeped out that video I forgot the beginning… you showed that footage to 'make up showing your sisters' embarrassing moments to them.' Any sibling that does that for their siblings… I never told you this, but I thought it was admirable. And I only left your class because I couldn't handle the teasing. You know how the other kids are. But knowing that your siblings are this ungrateful, after you put yourself on the line like that…", before she started to cry. After Cristina calmed down, she tearfully continued, "T-they didn't even offer to h-help you. T-they keep that footage of you. It's not fair. I'm so, so, so sorry… for everything. You're a great guy. And if your sisters can't see that… they're the ones with the problem, not you. I mean, they have the nerve to call you a 'Most Improved Brother?' And then they throw you out of the house like garbage? What kind of sisters are they? In retrospect, maybe you should have kept that embarrassing video of your sisters up. Something tells me they needed the ego check. But Lincoln, I want you to hear me… it'll be more than their egos getting checked when this is all done. For you, Lincoln."

While Sadie nuzzled Lincoln, Cristina took it a step further and kissed him on the side of his forehead. After Cristina left a rose at Lincoln's bedside, she and Sadie left the bedroom to make way for the next four visitors to walk in: Tabby, Giggles, Polly Pain, and Haiku.

Tabby started the well-wishes by leaving Monarch's Greatest Hits CD at Lincoln's bedside while lamenting, "Lincoln… bloody hell. I'm so sorry for laughing at that squirrel suit picture of you. I guess I was still miffed at you about the Sadie Hawkins dance, mate. I always knew Luna was a little wild, but after what I heard from Cristina… your sisters are insane in the membrane. And Liam's not much better. I promise you, we're going to rock those twats' worlds."

Next was Giggles, who blew a rabbit-shaped balloon before tying it to Lincoln's bedside. She then joked, "Hey, Girl Guru, sleep to meet ya again," laughing to herself while the rest of Lincoln's Sadie Hawkins dates groaned. Giggles' face then straightened as she vowed, "But seriously, Lincoln, I'm so sorry… about everything. Zach… well, at least he had the decency to lend you his textbook. I knew Luan liked to make people laugh. I guess she can make them cry, too. Believe me… April Fools' has nothing on what we're gonna do to her, and the rest of those bitches."

Polly Pain then joined Tabby at Lincoln's bedside, dropping off a helmet and pair of rollerblades that she had assumed would fit Lincoln. She then sniffled, "Wow, Lincoln… I guess even the tough ones can be put in the hospital. And I can't even take pride in saying I did this to you. That hurts." She sniffled again before promising, "Oh, don't worry about Fraud Marley. The girls and I are gonna take care of him when we get out of here. And Stink-Lynn? Yeah, that's what we're calling her now. What a total piece of shit. Not only does she threaten you with a baseball bat, call you bad luck and get you kicked out of the house when she loses, but she also has the audacity to try to get you arrested for all of that. I swear, if it weren't for Girl Jordan & her posse, I would've killed her myself. But it doesn't matter now. Those sports injuries Lynn-iot shakes off? She's gonna wish she only dealt with those when we're through with her. You know what, forget her. I'm your new super-athletic big sister now. Deal with it. And I'm gonna toughen you up so the next time you have to deal with her, you're #1."

When Haiku joined Giggles at Lincoln's other bedside, she pulled a small piece of paper out of her pocket and read the words on it:

"I'm sorry, Lincoln
House of pain, drives you insane
Your sisters will pay."

After Haiku put the poem at Lincoln's bedside, she and the rest of the Sadie Hawkins dates crowded around Lincoln. Polly Pain and Haiku gave Lincoln kisses on each side of Lincoln's forehead, while Tabby and Giggles each kissed one of Lincoln's cheeks, before walking out to let the next visitors in.

Next, Winston and Whitney entered Lincoln's hospital room with tearful looks on their faces. As Whitney placed Dairy Land tickets at Lincoln's bedside, she tenderly told him, "Lincoln… Becky told me about what happened. I'm so, so sorry. As my cousin told me: no one should ever have to go through what you went through, especially from your own family. Lori used to always tell me about how much she loved her siblings, especially you. I guess I was wrong. But that doesn't matter now." She then gently stroked Lincoln's hair as she vowed, "Worst case scenario... my cousin's got a place upstate if we need to get away. No matter what happens, I promise you, Lincoln... we will make those Louds regret the day they ever locked you out of that house."

She then glanced at Winston and told him, "Come on." Encouraged by Whitney's gentle smile, Winston added, "Hey, Lincoln. I-I didn't know what to get you, so I asked Lindsay and Whitney. I hope you like this wand I got you." Winston then put an expensive, rare hand-carved wooden oil magician wand at Lincoln's bedside before sighing, "I'm appalled at your sisters' treatment of you. At first, I didn't know whether to believe Lindsay, but after seeing that video of your sisters acting like hooligans… it's all making sense. We're gonna stop them. I promise."

After Whitney and Winston nuzzled Lincoln, they walked out of the room to allow a trembling Dana and Skippy to enter. Dana started tearfully, "H-hey, Lincoln. Skippy and I each brought something special for you." Dana then put her gift on the boy's bedside, explaining, "It's an Ace Savvy costume I found at the mall. Y-you can w-wear it for Halloween." Dana then cried, "L-Lincoln... I'm so sorry about what happened to you. Those people… if you can even call them that… are total monsters. You know, you weren't the only one hurt by Luan's April Fools' Day pranks. My family got our house painted red the one year Luan did that 'Paint the Town Red' prank. And I promise you, we're going to end their reign of terror. Not just over you, but over this whole town."

Dana then made room or Skippy to give Lincoln his gift, but after quickly noticing Skippy's horror at Lincoln's comatose state, she stood next to Skippy and put her hand on his back for support, whispering, "Come on, Skippy. You can do this."

Upon hearing this, Skippy slowly put down a diecast model of Bobbie Fletcher's car at Lincoln's bedside before weeping, "L-Lincoln… I-I'm s-sorry. Those girls are so mean to you and it's not fair! It's not fair! They're monsters! But when we're done with those stupid doodooheads… they're going to be sorry for what they did to you."

As Dana and Skippy left the room, Melissa and Jackie walked in. As Melissa reached Lincoln's bedside, she tenderly said, "Hey, Lincoln."

Jackie added, "Lincoln… my dad told me about your surgery, and Dana filled me in on the rest. I'm so, so sorry. I've got a little brother myself, and I could never imagine leaving the little cutie like... this. I thought your family was better than this."

Melissa growled, "Jackie's right. You know Lisa? Yeah, she asked me to code some project for her, injected me with some needle, and never paid. And you know what she told me? 'Oh... the experience you're getting is payment enough.' In this creepy voice, too."

A horrified Jackie gasped before Melissa continued, "I know. But no more. Let's just say, the Louds' bill has come due, and we're coming to collect."

Jackie corroborated, "Yes, yes we are. That evil family of yours will never hurt you again. And when this is all over, we got you two unlimited free daily passes to Gus' Games & Grub," before giggling alongside Melissa.

Melissa then teased, "Yeah, Linky, two daily passes. One for you… and one for your girlfriend," before trading more giggles with Jackie.

Jackie then stroked Lincoln's hair while assuring him, "Sleep well, my sweet prince. We're gonna have a lot of work to do in the days and weeks ahead. But I promise you, it'll all be worth it."

Melissa and Jackie then briefly hugged Lincoln and pecked him on each side of his forehead before solemnly walking out of the hospital room. Melissa then put her hand on Jackie's shoulder to comfort her as they walked out, making room for the last visitors to come in.

Clyde had told his parents about the "luck incident" the previous night. When the McBride parents found out, they considered calling the police on the Louds.

Flashback: Monday, October 3, 6:00 PM, McBride Residence

Harold whimpered to Howard, "H-honey. I-if this is true… we have to call the police. Lincoln's in serious danger here!"

Howard sniffled, "Y-yes H-Hare Bear. I'm gonna call them right now."

When Howard pulled his cellphone out of his pocket, Clyde gasped before yelling, "YO, ARE YOU DUMB? STOP!"

Howard asked, "But why? Anyone who does that to their son deserves to be in jail!"

Clyde sighed, "True. But I'm telling you, remember everything di gyaldem did to my boy. With how bad 12 is, they'd probably declare Lincoln bad luck too. They'd quarantine him, and then everybody would make him stay in the squirrel suit until he died!"

Clyde's parents gasped before Harold countered, "B-but the police can't be that clueless! I think it's worth trying to call them!"

Clyde explained, "Aight. Just remember, Lisa probably has some way to track Lincoln down and return him to the Loud House. And then they'd probably merk the man. Luan… April Fools' Day. Enough said."

When the McBride parents shuddered as they remembered previous April Fools' Days, Clyde pressed, "And say the police actually did their jobs and sent the Louds to jail. Ask yourselves, what would that family be like if they spent time around hardened criminals? Do you really think it'd solve their problems?" Clyde then explained, "I want you to imagine… those girls. They've spent a year or so in prison. However, it'd only be the older girls. Many of the younger girls… they'd be sent to separate foster homes. Including Lisa. Even if Lisa's tech is confiscated, she still has the know-how to make it if she ever lost it. Lisa would use her tech to break out of whatever foster home she got sent to. Luan might also be able to break out of prison on her own. From there, they'd probably find the rest of the Louds, and they'd band together, and they'd… they'd… they'd kill him. And probably anyone else who they would deem as having 'snitched' on them. And given that we'd be the snitches…"

The McBride parents immediately gasped in horror as they visualized this possibility. Howard then sighed, "You're… you're right, Clyde. Maybe it's not worth calling the police on the Louds. But what do we do? That family is still incredibly dangerous."

Clyde pointed out, "Remember how Lincoln said Lisa probably implanted a tracking chip in him?"

The McBrides nodded, to which Clyde replied, "Good. You guys have health insurance, right?"

The McBrides nodded, "Mm-hmm," before Howard asked, "But why… what does health insurance have to do with anything?"

Clyde answered, "Surgery."

Howard and Harold gasped before stammering, "S-s-s-surg-ery?"

Clyde nodded before continuing to explain, "We might need to get some X-rays to check if Lisa implanted tracking chips in any of us. And just in case she did, we'll have to go for surgery. I know it seems extra, but it's a must, styll."

Harold sighed before telling Clyde, "Alright. Let's visit the hospital… see what they can do."

Clyde approved, "Glad you see it my way."

The McBride parents immediately began looking up their workplaces' options for health insurance coverage for both a hospital appointment and a potential surgery for tracking chip removal. Fortunately, thanks to their well-paid, prestigious jobs, the McBride family's health expenses were fully covered by the companies the parents worked for. Now confident that they could go through with potential surgery, the McBride parents immediately called the hospital to request appointments for X-rays to find potential tracking chips located in their bodies, requests to which Royal Woods Hospital immediately agreed to. The receptionist on the line at Royal Woods Hospital mentioned that it was "extremely weird that one patient had already come in with similar concerns, and now there were three more," but ultimately decided to let it slide, granting the McBride family appointments for the following afternoon.

Flashback ends

(Scene Change: Royal Woods Hospital, Present Day)

Upon seeing Lincoln in his hospital bed, the McBride family gasped in horror. Clyde offered to his parents, "You go first," which they immediately took as they walked to either side of Lincoln's bed.

Howard whimpered, "Lincoln… good heavens. You're such a love. Such a good boy. And I can't believe this is happening to you. If there's anything you need, just let me know. Anything." He then rifled through his bag before finding his gift and presenting it, "Here's a copy of the new Ultra Brawlers Turbo Fighter game you said you wanted. The crowds were crazy, but I managed to get a copy for Clyde and a copy for you so you two can play each other online. I hope you enjoy it."

Harold blubbered, "I-I agree with my husband. No one should ever be treated the way you've been treated, especially by your own family. But I just want to take this chance to say thank you… for everything. For always being there for Clyde. Until he met you, he always had difficulties making friends. When he did meet you, he finally found the friend he so desperately needed. As for us, you never treated us weirdly because of who we were. I don't think you understand how much that means to us. You've stepped up for us when other kids made fun of Clyde for his parents. You accepted us for who we were. You are like a brother to Clyde, and you are like a son to us. And if those… monsters who called you 'family' can't see that, then we'll be your family." Harold then offered Lincoln, "H-here's a cookbook from Operation Dessert Storm. Hopefully, with this cookbook, you can rock your new family's world as much as you did your old one's."

As Harold and Howard cried into each other's arms to make room for Clyde, Clyde laughed to himself before approaching Lincoln's bedside. Upon arriving at Lincoln's bedside, Clyde cleared his throat before starting, "Lincoln, my boy. Yo… I'm sorry for tryna swerve on Lori from time, ya know? But now, a man like me took it in… beneath the physical beauty lies a waste gyal. And we're gonna clap back. You best believe that."

After vowing revenge on the Louds, Clyde explained, "I woulda brought mans a gift, but Rusty acted beg at the assembly earlier today. When you wake up, pree the vid I texted you. It's a jokes ting. Make yourself laugh despite all the tension. I love you, styll."

Clyde then gave Lincoln a hug before leading his crying parents out of Lincoln's hospital room and into the rooms where they would get surgery to remove the tracking chips from their jaws. As Clyde and his parents walked out of Lincoln's room, Clyde noticed that the crowd had somewhat dispersed, and asked, "A-are they getting their chips removed, too?"

Howard sighed, "They all went for checkups. Those whose tests came back positive, yes."

As Clyde entered his hospital room for surgery and swallowed his anesthetic red pill, only one thought ran through his mind: Lincoln, please be OK.

Closing A/N: Man… 100 followers! Whoop whoop! Unfortunately, some of the reviews make it seem like I may have cooked this revenge too slowly. I just really wanted to world-build and establish my fanfic's universe, and TBH, I kinda got carried away. No worries, though… I feel like I've completely set up the world I want.

A/N 2: Great-Grandma Harriet's line? Shoutout to the ghost genie from Danny Phantom.

A/N 3: Giggles' line, "I knew Luan liked to make people laugh. Guess she can make them cry, too," comes from Reacting to the Loud House's NSL chapter.

A/N 4: To those who figured out that Lisa chipped the sisters… good job! To both my supporters & critics… I'm glad you feel so strongly about my story!

A/N 5: Mollie's trophy is a reference to the award ceremony in "Requiem for a Loud". Clyde's parents' speech to Lincoln in here is also based on their speech to him in Requiem when they found out he was dying. Felt both were appropriate to bring here.

A/N 6: The dance Lynn Jr. does is based on the MadTV skit, "Bad Luck," where Key & Peele do the "man up" dance. Watch it on YouTube. It's straight comedy.

Anyway, thanks for reading! Be sure to stick around to find out what happens next!
