Episode 286: Call Of The Wild Area
Where we last left off, Sora and Kairi had arrived in the Galar region for a vacation. Upon arriving, Sora and Kairi had each recieved new Pokémon Box from Sonia, the granddaughter of Professor Magnolia just so they can be able to send over their Pokémon whenever they want, without using the same Pokédex, as well catch some new Pokémon. After a battle between Sora's new Scorbunny and a Galarian Farfetch'd, Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel are heading to the wild area to catch some of the local Pokémon living there. As they rode on the train, they held hands for the whole ride. On the same train is the same Impidimp and Hatenna, heading for the wild area as well. Pikachu and Angel were snuggled together when something caught them by surprise. Pikachu thought it was an apple with wings, but it wasn't. Sora and Kairi saw what freaked out Pikachu and Angel. It looked like a flying apple, but it has a green tail sticking out and its eyes were flapping like wings.
"A flying apple?" Sora asked.
"I don't think it is. I'm sure it's a Pokémon," Kairi said.
"Let's see what kind it is," Sora said, taking out his Pokédex to scan it.
Applin, the Apple Core Pokémon
Type: Grass/Dragon
As soon as it's born, it burrows into an apple. Not only does the apple serve as its food source, but the flavor of the fruit determines its evolution. It spends its entire life inside an apple. It hides from its natural enemies, bird Pokémon, by pretending it's just an apple and nothing more.
"Applin. Huh, At least you won't go hungry," Sora said.
"Applin! Where are you?" A boy's called out. Applin flew to the boy who had to guess is its trainer. The boy held out his hand. "There you are. You know better than to wonder off somewhere." The boy turned to the couple. ""I'm sorry if my Applin has been causing trouble."
"No trouble. Just never seen an Applijn before," Sora said.
"Lemme guess, you're not from the Galar region, right?" The boy asked.
"The thing is, my boyfriend and I are from the Kanto region. We came here for a vacation to have some fun and catch some Pokémon around here," Kairi said.
"Cool. Anyway, I'm sorry again if my Applin caused some problems," the boy said. He and his Applin returned to their seats as Sora and Kairi enjoyed their train ride. Upon arriving, they stepped out and saw what looks like an enrmous field.
"Wow, this must the the Wild Area. It's even bigger than I thought," Sora said.
"How about we get the show on the road, Sora?" Kairi sugessted.
"Way to read my mind, Kairi. Lets go!" sora said.
"Pi, Pikachu!" Pikachu said.
"Eevee!" Angel added.
The couple and their Pokémon headed down to the Wild Area to do some exploring. They saw all sorts of Pokémon living there. Some that they were familiar with, Oddish, Gloom, Vileplume, Budew, Roselia, Caterpie, Metapod, Buttferfree, Vukpix, Stufful, Bounsweet, Steenee, Delibird, Baltoy, Mudbray, Mudsdale, Munchlax, Snorlax, Onix, Steelix, and others. As the couple was about to settle down, they came across a Pokémon they haven't seen before. It was a small chubby, bipedal rodent Poké body is light yellow with two large markings on its body. The left side is black and the right side is brown. Its eyes are black with white pupils and it has pink spots on its cheeks. It has a small dot for a nose and its mouth has one tooth in it. It has two small ears with one tuft under each one, and its limbs are short.
"Oh, look at her, she's just the cutest little thing," Kairi cooed.
"I agree with you, Kairi, That's an adorable Pokémon, so let's see what it is," Sora said, taking out his Pokédex and scanned the Pokémon. The image on his Pokédex shows the same Pokémon with its two forms. The second form is dark purple and both of its markings are black. Its eyes are red and it has an angry expression
Morpeko, the Two-Sided Pokémon
Type: Electric/Dark
Depending on its mood, Morpeko takes on one of two forms. When it's in Full Belly Mode, Morpeko is happy and cheerful, but when it's in Hangry Mode, it becomes very hostile and aggressive. Morpeko's appetite is so constant, it changes its appearence constantly.
"I would hate to see how a Munchlax would look if it hasn't eaten in days," Sora said. Sora watched his girlfriend coo at the little Pokémon and he knew she wasn't going to let her go. "I'm going to guess you're going to catch this one, Kairi?"
"How could I not? She's just so cute. Aren't you, cutie?" Kairi gushed. Morpeko made some squeaks indicating that she's happy. Kairi took out a Pokéball, leaving the curious Morpeko to tap it and flow inside it. Stars swirls around it to confirm the catch. :Now, I got myself another cutie.
"Congrats, Kairi," Sora said.
"Thank you, Sora," Kairi said.
She and Sora kiss each other on the lips with Pikachu and Angel watching ever so lovingly. After they kissed, they came across a tall avian Pokémon covered in mostly blue feathers. It has green eyes, a long beak, and black webbed feet. It also has a gray feathery tuft around its long neck in a form of a bib.
"And who's that Pokémon?" Sora asked, taking out his Pokédex and scanned it.
Cramorant, the Gulp Pokémon
Type: Flying/Water
It's so strong that it can knock out some opponents in a single hit, but it also may forget what it's battling midfight. Occasionally, it makes a mistake and tries to swallow a Pokémon other than its preferred prey.
The Cramorant went over to Pikachu and then, takes him into his beak.
"Pika!" Pikachu yelped.
"Eevee!" Angel exclaimed.
"Hey! Leave Pikachu alone!" Sora yelled. Pikachu struggled to get loose from Cramorant's hold and then spat out Pikachu when it realized it couldn't swallow Pikachu. Pikachu goes flying and beans Sora in the gut.
"Sora!" Kairi exclaimed with shock.
"I'm okay," Sora said. Getting back up. He look at his partner. "You okay, Pikachu?"
"Pika," Pikachu said in a daze.
"Good to hear. Now, let's get teach that bird a lesson!" Sora said. "Quick Attack!" Pikachu dashed to Cramorant and lands a successful hit. The gulp Pokémon comes back at Pikachu with Water Gun, but Pikachu manages to dodge it. "Thunderbolt!" Pikachu lands Thunderbolt on the bird Pokémon and fell to the ground beaten. Sora takes out a Pokéball and threw it. Cramorant flows inside and wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around it to confirm the catch. "Another good catch."
The couple had set up camp in the wild area and ready for any more wild Pokémon to come their way. Kairi had preapred some lunch for them and their Pokémon. Morpeko didn't waste any time eating and eating. After the meal was concluded, Kairi started to brush Wooloo's wool and the sheep Pokémon liked it so much. Grookey was pounding a rock with his stack as the Galarian Farfetch'd was practing some swings with his giant stalk.
As Sora had finshed washing the last dish, something was sticking its head out. Pikachu saw a fish-like head, sticking its head out the water.
"Pi?" Pikachu asked. Sora looked to his partner.
"What is it, Pikachu? What do you hear?" Sora asked.
"Pika, Pikachu, Pika!" Pikachu said, pointing to the water. The fish head dove down just when Sora took a look.
"There's nothing there. You're not imagining it, are you, buddy?" Sora asked.
"Pika," Pikachu insisted, shaking his head.
"If there's something in the water, then mybe Sobble might be able to reach it," Sora said. He turned to the water lizard Pokémon. "Hey, Sobble, could you go in the water and see what it is?" Sobble nooded and went into the water to see. Sora and Pikachu waited to see what it was, but Sobble is forced out out the water. Sora catches obble in his arms. "Sobble, are you okay?"
"Sob," Sobble said, weakly.
"What did this to you?" Sora asked. He got his answer when a brown and tan fish Pokémon resembling a barracuda. It has two big black eyes and two small jaws pointing upward, the latter of which it is very proud of. It also has five fins scattered on its body; two pelvic fins, two anal fins, and one dorsal fin. This Pokémon has two red spots, one behind each jaw, as well as three white scales on each side of its body for a total of six. It lastly has three back fins on its tail resembling a ship propeller, starting off tan in color, but having a brown coloring on the end. "And who's that Pokémon?" Sora took out his Pokédex.
Arrokuda, the Rush Pokémon
Type: Water
If it sees any movement around it, this Pokémon charges for it straightaway, leading with its sharply pointed jaw. It's very proud of that jaw. After it's eaten its fill, its movements become extremely sluggish. That's when Cramorant swallows it up.
"So, Arrokuda, huh? I'm going to guess that's what that Cramorant from earlier thought you were," Sora said. Sobble jumps out of Sora's arms and dived in after the barracuda Pokémon. "Sobble! Wait a minute!" Sobble didn't listen and jumped into the water. Arrocuda dove back down with the water lizard Pokémon pursuing it. Sobble chased Arrocuda while passing by some other fish Pokémon living in the lake. Arrocuda dashed by a small school of Wishiwashi as Sobble pusures behind it. Sobble was starting to catch up with Arrocuda, much to the rush Pokémon's surprise. Sobble had finally caught up with the speeding Arrocuda and gve it a hurl out of the water and above Sora and Pikachu. Kairi, Angel, Blipbug, Wooloo, and Morpeko saw the Arrocuda falling. Rookidee flew and caught it in his talons. Rookidee flapped as hard as he could and lowered the barracuda Pokémon down slowly as Sora caught it in his arms. It tries to struggle its way out of Sora's grip. "Hey! Take it easy!" He drops the barracuda Pokémon as it splashes around like a Magikarp. Sora takes out a Dive Ball and threw it at the Arrocuda. Arrocuda flows inside it and it wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around the Dive Ball to confirm the catch. Sora's Pokémon Box activates and it asks him if he wants to keep Arrocuda with him. He chose to send it to Professor Oak's lab.
"Such a good catch, Sora," Kairi praised.
"And it was thanks to Sobble," Sora said as the water lizard Pokémon comes out of the water. He rubs Sobble on the head. "Good work, Sobble. You really flushed it out." Sobble was having the urge to cry. Sora knew who powerful Sobble's cries are. "Hey, don't cry! Don't cry!" Sobble started to cry and everyone all got effected by Sobble's effect. The Impidimp and Hatenna from before were watching the scene.
Back in Kanto, Red with his face shrouded in his hood, came out of the dark. Ethan had finally arrived to the meeting place. He saw the hooded boy.
"Who are you? Are you the one who contacted me?" Ethan asked.
"Yes. I need your help in this. It's a war I can't win alone," Red said. Ethan was skeptical.
"What war?" Ethan asked.
"You are familiar with Team Rocket, aren't you?" Red asked.
"Yes, but what does that have to do with anything?" Ethan asked.
"It has a lot to do with everything, since we are at war with them. They're plannning something big and whatever those guys are cooking up isn't the least bit good. So, I was told of another kid who helped Sora and his friends foil Team Rocket's plans and you fit the bill perfectly," Red said.
"I did it because Sora is my friend and I love my Pokémon just the same as he does," Ethan said.
"And that's why I called you here. And another," Red said. Ethan was surprised when Red said there's someone else involved.
"Another? Who?" Ethan asked.
"Someone who loves their Pokémon just the same as Sora, his friends, you, and me. He hlped put an end to Team Magma and Team Aqua's plans in the Hoenn region. Also, he battled Sora in the final battle of the recent Hoenn Pokémon League tournament," Red explained. Ethan wasn't surprised to hear Sora had won it since it became so common knowledge so fast.
"You mean that one kid from Littleroot Town? How does he fit in with this?" Ethan asked.
"He shares what we have in common, so I figured I can get more help from this world," Red said. Brendan had finally showed up to the spot where he wanted to meet. "Excellent timing, Brendan." Brendan recognized Ethan since he saw him in the Hoenn tournament on TV.
"I know you. You're the runner-up of the Johto Pokémon League. Ethan. It's a pleasure to meet you at last!" Brendan said.
"Likewise," Ethan said. "This guy called you here too, huh?" Brendan looked at the hooded boy with an odd look.
"Looks like it. Who are you? And why did you call me down all the way from Hoenn? What is this about?" Brendan asked.
"Someone like you, him, and Sora," Red answered.
"And how do you know Sora?" Brendan asked.
"Looks like I'm going have to explain everything, don't I?" Red asked, removing his hood to reveal his face. "To start things off, I'm not from this world, but I am familiar with it greatly. The world I'm from is like yours in many ways, but different at the same time."
"Wait a minute, you mean, you're one of the trainers from a different wolrd? Are you Red or Ash?" Brendan asked.
"My name is Red. And I take it that he told you about his involvement in the business with the Shadow Empire," Red said.
"Shadow Empire?" Ethan asked, not understanding.
"It's a long story," Red said.
"You don't know three animals, do you?" Brendan asked. Red was dumbfounded by what Brendan was talking about.
"Three animals?" Red asked.
"Well, the thing is this. There are three animals who came from a different world, like you. A crocodile named Vector, a chameleon named Espio, and a bee named Charmy. Like I said, they came from a different world where a bad guy calling himself Dr. Eggman plans to turn everyone into a robot. You know anything about that?" Brendan asked.
Red shook his head, "No, I don't. And if there are other worlds involved in this mess, then we're in even more trouble than I thought." This worried Ethan and Brendan looked at each other and back at him. "Now, where's Sora?"
"We don't know. We haven't seen him since after the tournaments," Ethan said.
"Anyway, what's all this about, Red? Why did you call us both for?" Brendan asked.
"Red said it's a war against an organization called Team Rocket," Ethan said.
"Team Rocket? You mean those guys who steal Pokémon from other trainers? I only know about them through Sora and Kairi and I only saw a few of their former members and couple of them are dead," Breandan said.
"Former members?" Ethan asked.
"Jessie, James, Genghis, and Kahnnie," Brendan said. Ethan raised a brow.
"Did two of those members have a talking Meowth with them?" Ethan asked.
"They did, and he's with Sora and Kairi, after they died in an explosion in Team Aqua's submarine. Don't know where Genghis and Kahnnie went after that," Brendan said. Ethan was shocked to hear that Jessie and James had died.
"I had no idea," Ethan said.
"No. They're alive. I know because I saw them. And I think we can work together to bring Team Rocket down," Red said.
"Then, count us in," a familiar femal voice spoke. Kris, Lyra, and May all show up to join in.
"How much of it did you hear?" Red asked.
"Pretty much all of it," Kris said.
"So, what's the plan?" Lyra asked. Red knew some more help had come and he grins.
"We're going to need help from an unlikely source. And I know just the two to do it," Red said.
Over in Team Rocket HQ, Giovanni sat at his desk as the four Choas Emeralds still slowly corrupt his mind. Just then, Dr. Eggman makes contact with him with his face still shrouded in shadow.
"Special delivery," Dr. Eggman said, transporting a yellow gem on Giovanni's desk. "Five down and two more to go."
"I appreciate the efforts," Giovanni said.
"Just happy to help a fellow villain. Just don't lose them," Dr. Eggman said, breaking contact. He grins as he places the yellow Chaos Emerald along with the red, green, white, and blue Choas Emeralds. The yellow Chaos Emerald began to turn into a darker shade of yellow.
Back in the Wild Area, Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, and the other Pokémon slept soundly in their tent as they Impidimp and Hatenna were asleep not too far from them. Morning came as they all woke up feeling refreshed.
"Man, that was a good sleep. I slept just like a Snorlax," Sora said, stretching his arms.
"And snored like one too." - Galarian Farfetch'd subtitle.
"How about I get breakfast started?" Kairi asked.
"And I can help," Sora said. He turned to Pikachu, Angel, and the other Pokémon. "Keep an eye out for any Pokémon that might come to attack until everything's ready." All of the Pokémon nodded as they kept an eye out for any Pokémon. Once breakfast was done, Sora and Kairi carried out some Pokémon food for everyone to enjoy. "Come and get it!" The Pokémon gaterh around as they were about to get their grub on as a Skwovet came and started to stuff its cheeks.
"Pikachu!" Pikachu called out to Sora and Kairi.
"Hey! A Skwovet!" Sora exlcaimed. Kairi saw what the squirrel-like Pokémon was stuffing its cheeks. "Hey! Cut that out! That's not yours!"
"Angel! Quick Attack!" Kairi ordered. Angel ran towards the squirrel-like Pokémon. Skwovet was mad and came at the female Eevee with a Tackle. "Headbutt!" Angel lands a Headbutt on the cheeky Pokémon. Kairi took out a Pokéball and threw it. The Pokéball struck Skwovet and it flows inside it. The Pokéball wobbles around and stars swirls around it to confirm the catch. "I'm sure Skwovet will learn to share now."
"Hopefully, but I wouldn't be so sure. They can stuff their cheeks wil loads of food," Sora said.
"Well, don't worry, I can always make more," Kairi said. The Pokémon were relieved that they won't skip breakfast. Ad after breakfast, the couple moved on through the wild area to search for more Pokémon to catch. Sora and Kairi did what they did before to split up. Sora managed to spot a Clobbopus doing some punches as Sora thought of going with Rookidee this time. He threw it.
"Rookidee! Come on out" Sora called out as Rookidee came out of his Pokéball. "Use Peck!" Rookidee comes and lands a peck on Cobbopus. The octopus-like Pokémon jumps and brings its fist down on him.
"That's Rock Smash! Dodge and use another Peck!" Sora ordered. Rookidee lands Peck on the tantrum Pokémon aain and again. Sora took out a Pokéball and threw it. Clobbopus flows inside it and the Pokéball wobbles around and around and stars swirls to confirm the catch. Sora's Pokémon Box activates and it asks him if he wants to keep Clobbopus with him. He chose to send his new Clobbopus back home. "Good work, Rookidee!" Rookidee perched onto Sora's shoulder like a parrot on a pirate.
Over to Kairi, she and Angel were doing some looking around and they came across a field of flowers.
"Oh, how pretty," Kairi said. Just then, a Mime Jr. came out and presented her a flower. She accepts it. "Thank you. You're sweet."
"Mime, Mime, Mime," the Mime Jr. said. She was about to take off when she saw a Galarian Ponyta. Kairi was at awe at the sight of the equine Pokémon. It reminded her of the one Minerva had before evolving. The Galarian Ponyta was grazing in the grass when it saw her and the Eevee standing there.
"A Galarian Ponyta. So, cute and beautiful," Kairi said quietly. unicorn-like Pokémon went over to Kairi and nuzzles her. "Hello there. Have you come to greet me?" The Galarain Ponya keeps on nuzzling her, making her giggle. "I like you too." It lowers itself down for Kairi to get on. "You want me to ride you?" The Galarian Ponyta nodded. She gets on the equine Pokémon's back and takes her on for a ride. "This is amazing!" Angel wanted to go along for the ride and joined her trainer. The Galarian Ponyta gallops around the Wild Area.
Over to Sora and Pikachu, they looked around for any Pokémon around what looks like an old tower.
"Hm, wonder what's in here?" Sora asked as his curiosity got the better of him. A Yamask came out and startled him. "What the?!" Sora looked at the Yamask and saw how it different it looked from the one he saw before. It has purple eyes and it has some kind of white rune with a red mark. "Yamask?" Sora took out his Pokédex to scan it.
Yamask Galarian Form, the Spirit Pokémon
Type: Ground/Ghost
It's said that this Pokémon was formed when an ancient clay tablet was drawn to a vengeful spirit. A clay slab with cursed engravings took possession of a Yamask. The slab is said to be absorbing the Yamask's dark power.
"So, that's what Yamask look like here. And it looks like another Pokémon to send home," Sora said. He took out Sobble's Pokéball to battle the alternate Yamask. Sora remembered Pikachu's electricity won't phase it because of it being a Ground Type. "Sobble! Go!" Sora called out. Sobble comes out to battle the Galarian Spirit Pokémon. "Water Gun!" Sobble fires Water Gun and the Galarian Yamask avoids Sobble's Water Gun from left to right. The Galarian Yamask attacks with Shadow Ball and struck Sobble. Sora calls Sobble back and takes out Grookey's Pokéball. "You're up, Grookey!" Grookey somes out and ready to go. "Razor Leaf!" Grookey fires Razor Leaf and it struck the Galarian Yamask. "Now use Branch Poke!" Grookey lands a Branch Poke onto the Galarian Yamask. Sora takes out a Pokéball and threw it. The Pokéball struck it and flows inside it. The Pokéball wobbles around and around for a moment before stars swirls around it to confirm the catch. Sora's Pokémon Box activates and it asks him if he wants to keep the Galarian Yamask with him. He chose to send the Galarian spirit Pokémon to Professor Oak's lab. "Another Galar Form Pokémon to call my own."
"Pi, Pikachu!" Pikachu praised.
"Wonder how Kairi's doing? You got her and Angel's scent?" Sora asked.
"Pika," Pikachu nodded.
"Good thing you got her smell memorized, buddy. Now, let's go meet up with her," Sora said. Pikachu was leading the way, but Impidimp was following the duo.
Over to Kairi and Angel, the weather in the area was cold and it was hailing. Among the Snorunt and Swinub there were some Pokémon she has never seen before. They were all small ice caterpillar like Pokémon. They all had small faces with two round mandibles and transparent blue spikes lining its back.
"And what are kind of Pokémon are these? Maybe Sora would identify them with his Pokédex when I see him. In the meantime, I think I'll catch one of these cuties," Kairi said. "They look like they're Bug Types." She saw some of them eat some snow proved by the Snorunt and Swinub. "And they like the cold, maybe they're also Ice Type Pokémon too." She thought of which Pokémon she was going to choose and which one she was going to catch. She decided to go with her Morpeko. "Okay, Morpeko! Go!" Morpeko comes on out to battle. "Morpeko! Use Aura Wheel!" Morpeko rans towards one of the icy caterpillar Pokémon and lands a hit onto it. "Now, use Thunder Shock!" Morpecko fires Thunder Shock, but the snowy bug Pokémon fired Powder Snow to block it. "Definitely Ice and Bug Types. Morpecko! Use Quick Attack!" Morpeko dash and lands a Quick Attack onto it. The icy Pokémon lands on its back. Kairi took out a Pokéball and threw it. It flows inside and wobbles around. Stars swirls around to confirm the catch. "And that makes a full team." Just then, a Galarian Darumaka appears and attacks. "Darumaka?!" The Galarian Darumaka attacks with Powder Snow. Angel fights back with Swift. The stars cuts through the attack. The Galarian Darumaka come down and lands an Ice Punch onto Angel. "Angel!" The Galaraian Darumaka was about to give Angel another hit with Ice Fang when the Galarian Ponyta fougt back with Fairy Wind. "Good save!" The Galarian Ponyta whinnies and charges at the attacking Ice Type with Tckla and fell to the ground beaten. Kairi takes out a Pokéball and threw it. It struck the Galarian Darumaka and flows inside. The Pokéball wobbles around and confirms the catch. Kairi's Pokémon Box activates and tells her that she has six on her team and it asks here if she wants to keep her new Darumaka with her or send it to Professor Oak's lab. She chose to send it to Professor Oak's lab. "I am so glad that we got these. It makes it a whole lot easier!"
Over to Sora and Pikachu, they followed the scent from their signifigant others. Along the way, they came acrossa Nickit and challanged Sora and Pikachu. Sora couldn't let that one fox Pokémon stop him.
"Gotta make this quick. And let's make it speed versus speed," Sora said. "Pikachu! Quick Attack!" Pikachu dashed as Nickit did the same thing. Both the mouse and fox Pokémon clashed with their speed. "Thuderbolt!" Pikachu lands a shock onto Nickit. Sora took out a Pokéball and threw it. The Pokéball struck Nickit and it flows inside it. It wobbles around and around until stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch. Sora's Pokémon Box activates and it asks him if he wants to keep Nickit with him. He chose to send Nickit to Porfessor Oak's lab. "Gotcha." Sora turned to Pikachu. "Shall we keep going, buddy?"
"Pikachu," Pikachu nodded.
Sora and Pikachu take off looking for Kairi. They got furter as they felt getting colder, but the scent was strong. Kairi, Angel, and the Galarian Ponyta were makinng their way back as Angel sniffed the air and recognized Pikachu's scent.
"Eevee!" Angel cheered.
"You got the boys' scents, Angel?" Kairi asked.
Angel nodded, "Eevee."
"Great! Lead the way, Angel!" Kairi said. Angel led Kairi nd the Galarian Ponyta through as Hatenna was following the girls in the hail. after a five to ten minutes, Sora and Kairi had finally bumped into each other. "Hi Sora."
"Hi Kairi. Had fun?" Sora asked his girlfriend.
"I did. You?" Kairi asked.
"I did, but it's even more fun with you around," Sora said. He spotted the Galarian Ponyta with her. "A new friend?"
"Yes. She helped us through the field," Kairi said. "Ponyta, meet Sora, my boyfriend. Say hello." The Galarian Ponyta nuzzles him as he laughed.
"Nice to meet you," Sora said. "Caught any good ones?" Kairi giggled. "I got a one that needs, identifying." She lets out the snowy catterpillar Pokémon for Sora to see.
"Let's see what you are," Sora said, taking out his Pokédex to identify the Pokémon.
Snom, the Worm Pokémon
Type: Ice/Bug
It eats snow that piles up on the ground. The more snow it eats, the bigger and more impressive the spikes on its back grow. It spits out thread imbued with a frigid sort of energy and uses it to tie its body to branches, disguising itself as an icicle while it sleeps.
"Snom, huh? That's a cute name for a cute Pokémon like you," Kairi cooed.
"Where did you find this one, Kairi? And what else did you spot?" Sora asked.
"I found Snom over that way. There were loads of Swinub and Snorunt there too," Kairi said. She led her boyfriend to where she and Angel found the icy worm Pokémon. The Galarian Ponyta went with them. Impidimp was till following Sora and Pikachu. Over to Hatenna, she was still in pursuit of Kairi and Angel and saw them coming. None of them noticed as they raced by her. Impidimp ran pass her and she follows them. She led her boyfriend to the spot. "And here's the spot where we found them." Sora looked around and saw the Snom around as well as Snorunt and Swinub. Coming down was a white moth-like Pokémon. It has 2 kimono sleeve-like arms at the front, while its wings interior and antennae's tips are transparent with a white flower motif. It also has heart shaped hands hidden inside its body fur. Its deep blue eyes give an impression of sunglasses. They ducked out of the way when dove down at them.
"What kind of Pokémon is that?" Sora asked, taking out his Pokédex to scan the Pokémon.
Frosmoth, the Frost Moth Pokémon
The evolved form of Snom
Type: Ice/Bug
It shows no mercy to any who desecrate fields and mountains. It will fly around on its icy wings, causing a blizzard to chase offenders away. Icy scales fall from its wings like snow as it flies over fields and mountains. The temperature of its wings is less than 290 degrees Fahrenheit.
"That answers what Frosmoth evolves into," Sora said.
"Here she comes!" Kairi yelped as Frosmoth came diving down again. The Galarian fired Fairy Wind, but the frost moth Pokémon dodges and fires Icy Wind at her. Sora took out Scorbunny's Pokéball and threw it.
"Scorbunny! Come on out!" Sora said as Scorbunny came out to battle. "Use Ember!" Scorbunny fires Ember as it cuts through Frosmoth's Icy Wind. Frosmoth avoids the attack and flies away as it was afraid of fire. "That scared it off."
"Good thinking, Sora. And good job, Scorbunny," Kairi said, petting the rabbit Pokémon on the head. "Oh, in all the excitement, I didn't ask what you caught, Sora." He grins. "So far, I got a Clobbopus, Galarian Yamask, and a Nickit." Just then, a small Pokémon that looks like a penguin, but has a giant ice cube on its head. "But who's that Pokémon?" Sora scanned it with his Pokédex to get information on it. It shows the Pokémon with the ice cube on its head and one without one. It has a light blue face. It has a white beak, white eyes under black eyebrows.
Eiscue, the Penguin Pokémon
Type: Ice
Eiscue keeps itself safe from the heat with the giant ice cube. It uses it to float along the frigid oceans to catch prey along the way. When its ice is shattered, its face is greatly vulnerable to heat.
"So, it's another Ice Type," Sora said. he turned to Scorbunny. "You still ready to go, Scorbunny?"
"Scorbun!" Scorbunny nodded.
"Great! Go get it!" Sora said. Scorbunny dashed and lands a hit onto the penguin Pokémon. The ice on its head didn't shatter, but Eiscue responded in kind with an Ice Punch. Scorbunny got hit by the attack. "Ember!" Scorbunny fires Ember and it struck the ice cube. It shatters to reveal its real face. Thanks to the hail, the ice face builds back up and protects its face. Eiscue comes at Scorbunny with a Headbutt, but Sora had something to counter that. "Use Double Kick!" Scorbunny lands a Double Kick in the penguin Pokémon. Sora took out a Pokéball and threw it. The Pokéball struck Eiscue and flows inside. It wobbles around and around until stars swirls around it to confirm the catch. Sora's Pokémon Box activates and it asks him if he wants to keep Eiscue with him. He chose to send Eiscue to Professor Oak's lab. "Another cool Pokémon under our belts." Kairi giggled.
"Was that supposed to be an ice joke?" Kairi teased. Sora blushed as he laughed. THey made their way to another area and made a stop for lunch. Kairi had Sora's help once again as the Galarian Ponyta plays with the new friends she's made. The only Pokémon she didn't have out was Skwovet for obvious reasons. Impidimp and Hatenna had caught up again and went up to the couple. Sora and Kairi saw the two Pokémon with them. "Well, looks like we got two visitors."
"I guess news started to spread about your Pokémon food," Sora said.
"Looks like it to me," Kairi said. She prepared some extra Pokémon food for them. Impidimp and Hatenna had taste of Kairi's Pokémon food for the first time and they loved it right away. The Galarian Ponyta never had food that tasted good before in her life. The smell of food attracted the attention of a wondering Perrserker. It followed the smell right to its source.
Sora and Kairi enjoyed the meal they were having much to their heart's content. The couple's Pokémon and the wild Pokémon enjoyed it as well.
"Good as always, Kairi. You always have the magic touch," Sora said. The compliment only made her blush.
"You're so sweet, Sora," Kairi said. "And that's one of the reason I love you, Sora." Sora blushed as he chuckled.
"What can I say? You're pretty sweet yourself. And that's the same reason I love you too," Sora said. Sora wne to Kairi and kisses her on the lips and she kisses him back. Perrserker comes out and spoils the romance. The viking Pokémon helped itself to the couple's lunch. "Hey! Get out of there, you food thief!" The Perrserker meows at them, making it sound like it's taunting them. "Ooh, makes me wish Meowth was here! He would translate for us!"
"Even if he was, I doubt Perrserker said something nice about us," Kairi said. The Galarian Farfetch'd challenged Perrserker to a fight. Perrserker accepted the challenge. Perserrker started with Metal law. The Galarian Farfetch'd comes at the viking Pokémon.
"Farfetch'd! Night Slash!" Sora ordered. The Galarian Farfetch'd swung his giant leek at Perrserker, but Perrserker block the leek and lands an Iron Head on him. The Galarian Farfetch'd gave Perrserker another swung, but Perrserker ducked, but the Galarian Farfetch'd lands another hit with his giant leek. "Use Brutal Swing!" The Galarian Farfertch'd swings his giant leek around and it struck Perrserker hard. "Now, use Brick Break!" The Galarian Farfetch'd swung his leek down at Perrserker again and lands a heavy blow. The vikiing Pokémon fell backwards. Sora takes out another Pokéball and throws it at Perrserker and it flows inside. The Pokéball wobbles around and around, kinwing Perrserker won't stay in that easily. Stars eventually swirls around it to confirm the catch. Sora's Pokémon Box activates and it asks him if he wants to keep Perrserker with him. He chose to send Perrserker back to Professor Oak's lab. "I am going to be really mad if something interuppts our dinner."
"Don't worry, I'll make sure nothing does," Kairi promised. After all the excitement, they clean up the mess and prepare to continue with their vacation. They turn to the wild Pokémon.
"It was great meeting you, but we gotta get going," Sora said.
"So, take care out there," Kairi said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
Just before they could go further, the Pokémon all went to the couple. Impidimp went to Sora as Hatenna and the Galarian Ponyta went to Kairi. This meant they wanna go with them.
"You wanna come with us?" Sora asked. The Pokémon nodded. Sora and Kairi took out a Pokéball for each of them. Kairi presented them in front of them.
"You can come if you want," Kairi said kindly. The Galarian Ponyta and Hatenna pressed the buttons on the Pokéballs and flow inside. Inpidimp did the same thing. Stars swirls around the Pokéballs and confirms the catch. Their Pokémon Boxes activates and they sent their new Pokémon to Professor Oak's lab. They continued on in the Wild Area. They separated again to search for some Pokémon to catch. Sora spotted a Duralodon wondering the area. Sora figured it probably wondered down from the mountains and decided to catch one of his own. As for Kairi, she spotted something interesting. She saw a green worm-like dragon with four apple peels attached to it; two as its wings, one on top of its head, and one at the bottom. It has yellow eyes and a spike on top of it head. "Never seen that one before. Judging by the apple appearence, I would say he's a Grass Type and by the reptile look, looks like a Dragon Type. So, my best bet would be Snom or Blipbug." She thought for a moment and Angel paws her.
"Vee," Angel said.
"Huh? Angel? You wanna have a go?" Kairi asked. Angel nodded. "Okay, I can let you." Eevee jumped in front of the Pokémon as he froze in place. "Angel! Use Headbutt!" Angel headed for the Pokémon, but it dodged and hurls an apple at her. The apple struck her hard. "Angel!" The flying apple Pokémon hurls another apple at Angel. "Angel! Dodge and use Swift!" Angel fires Swift and struck the Pokémon on the mark. Once he was weak enough, Kairi took out a Pokéball and threw it at the Pokémon. He flows inside it and the Pokéball wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around it to confirm the catch. Kairi's Pokémon Box activates and it asks her if she wants to keep her new Pokémon with her, so she chose to keep him in exchange for Skwovet.
Over to Sora, Sora sent out Scorbunny out to battle Duralodon. Duralodon comes swinging with Dragon Claw, but Scorbunny easily dodges.
"That's great, Scorbunny! One more Double Kick!" Sora ordered. Scorbunny lands Double Kick on it. Sora takes out a Pokéball and threw it at the Duralodon. Duralodon flows inside as the Pokéball wobbles around, but comes back out. "Must still have some energy left. Scorbunny! Double Kick again and again!" Scorbunny jumps and lands Double Kick repeatedly on the alloy Pokémon and it was barely standing. Sora got the Pokéball ready again and threw it at Duralodon. It flows inside and it violently wobbles around and around. Sora hoped it'll stay in this time. Stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch. Sora's Pokémon Box activates and it asks him if he wants to keep Duralodon with him. He chose to send Duralodon over to Professor Oak's lab. Pikachu and Scorbunny paw bump for another successful catch. "Good work, Socrbunny! That last Double Kick you did was beautiful!"
"Scorbun!" Scorbunny said.
Over to Kairi, she spotted what looks like a dragon-apple pie hybrid. Its body is mostly green with a yellow underside and lower jaw. Its eyes as Applin are now sitting on top of its draconic head and are flapped down by a round piece of apple skin. Its back is shaped like an apple pie with a criss cross design and 2 apple leaves in the center.
"Another one. He kinda smells like apple pie. It's just like Applin and that other one," Kairi said. She turned to Angel and saw she was worn out from that battle with that Pokémon. "I think you should sit this one out, Angel. You're still tender from that last battle."
"Eevee," Angel agreed. She took out Blipbug's Pokéball and threw it. "Go! Blipbug!" Kairi called out as Blipbug appears in front of the apple pie dragon Pokémon. "Blipbug! Struggle Bug!" Blipbug fires Struggle Bug and it struck the Pokémon. The Pokémon responds by firing some sort of acid coming from his mouth. "Dodge it, Blipbug!" Blipbug dodges at. "Struggle Bug again!" Blipbug fires Struggle Bug again, but the Pokémon dodges it. The Pokémon comes at Blipbug with a charge. "Dodge it!" Blipbug tried to dodge, but got struck hard. Blipbug got hurt bad. The Pokémon was about to ram into Blipbug again, but the larva Pokémon began to evolve. Blipbug was now a Dottler. "You evolved! That's great!" The Pokémon came at Dottler, but Kairi was ready for it. "Dottler! Light Screen!" Dottler forms Light Screen and it struck its head on the barrier. "Now, use Confusion!" Dottler uses her Psychic attack to lift him up and toss him. Kairi takes out a Pokéball and threw it. It struck the Pokémon and flows inside. The Pokéball wobbles around and around until stars swirls around it to confirm the catch. Kairi's Pokémon Box activates and it asks her if she wants to keep her new Pokémon. She chose to keep him in exchange for Wooloo. "Another good catch!"
"Eevee!" Angel praised.
Over to Sora, he came face-to-face with a Falinks. Rookidee is sent out to deal with it.
"Peck! Now!" Sora ordered. Rookidee lands a peck on the formation Pokémon. "Now use Power Trip!" Rookidee unleashed Power Trip and it struck Falinks hard. Sora threw a Pokéball at Falinks and flows inside it. The Pokéball wobbles around and around until stars swirls around it to confirm the catch. Sora's Pokémon Box activates and it asks him if he wants to keep Falinks with him. He chose to send Falinks to Professor Oak's lab. "Another good catch!" A Dreepy comes slithering by and catches Sora's attention. "A Dreepy. And a good catch since it's a Dragon Type and a Ghost Type." He looked at Rookidee. "You still ready to go?" Rookidee nodded. "Great! Go get it! Power Trip!" Rookidee launched Power Trip at the ghostly dragon Pokémon. Dreepy dodged and landed a Quick Attack on the spot. "Peck!" Rookidee came at Dreepy to land a peck, but dodged again and used Astonish.
"Pika, Pika!" Pikachu said.
"Rookidee! Power Trip!" Sora ordered. Rookidee launched Power Trip at Dreepy. It struck it. "Peck!" Rookidee lands a Peck at Dreepy. Sora threw a Pokéball at Dreepy and it flows inside it. The Pokéball wobbles around and around until stars swirls around it to confirm the catch. Sora's Pokémon Box activates and it asks him if he wants to keep Dreepy with him. He chose to send Dreepy over to Professor Oak's lab. "Good work, Rookidee. Get some rest." Sora calls Rookidee back. He looked to his partner. "Better look for Kairi and see what she got."
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
They went to find their signifigant others as Kairi was doing the same thing. They up at the meetup spot.
"So, what did you catch?" Sora asked. Kairi took out two Pokéballs.
"Just these," Kairi said, letting out her two new Pokémon. Sora gave an imprssive whistle and Pikachu's nostrils flared up with the smell of apples. "What do you think, Sora?"
"An impressive catch," Sora said. He took out his Pokédex and scanned both of his girlfriend's Pokémon.

An evolved form of Applin
Type: Grass/Dragon
It flies on wings of apple skin and spits a powerful acid. It can also change its shape into that of an apple. Applin's evolution to this form is a result of a sour apple. In its cheeks, it stores an acid capable of causing chemical burns.

An evolved form of Applin
Type: Grass/Dragon
Its body is covered in sweet nectar, and the skin on its back is especially yummy that it attracts unsuspecting prey, placing itself as bait. Applin's evolution into this form is the result of a tart apple.
"Lucky, both evolved forms of Applin," Sora said.
"Thank you, Sora," Kairi said. They kiss each other as Kairi's new Pokémon watched and confused by the kissing. They parted lips. "What catches did you make?"
"Duralodon, Falinks, and Dreepy," Sora said. "Your catches are impressive."
"Yours too," Kairi said.
Afterwards, the couple were getting their dinner ready when they made camp for the night. Over in Professor Oak's lab, some of the Pokémon the couple had caught in the Galar region had quickly got acquainted in their new home. Mirei had come by had fallen in love with Kairi's new Ponyta.
"Oh, you are simply just so cute!" Mirei gushed. The Galarian Ponyta took a liking to Kairi's mom. The Galarian Zigzagoon started to pick fights with some of the Pokémon around, big or small. Venusaur came by and told the Galarian Zigzagoon to behave himself. Ekans and Koffing got along with the new Pokémon living there. Meowth had been picked on by Perrserker.
"Hey, what's that's supposed to mean?!" Meowth exclaimed. Isa and his Persian were watching the conflict between the two cat Pokémon.
"Okay, what did Perrserker just say to you?" Isa asked.
"Perrserker just said that the Meowth here in Kanto are just some pampered soft-fur weaklings. What nerve!" Meowth huffed. "If that's how you feel about the Meowth here, then what do you think about the Persian here?" Perrserker meows about Persian and the classy cat Pokémon beamed. Meowth was aghast to hear that. Isa just laughed. It was obvious to him that his Persian and Sora's Perrserker have become good friends fast.
"Sounds like Perrserker and my Persian are good friends," Isa said. Meowth growled.
"Whose side are you on?" Meowth exclaimed. Persian meowed at Meowth. "If I have friends like you, who needs enemies?" Meowth wasn't happy to see a Perrserker, Pokémon that was just as bad as a Persian, either a normal Persian or an Alolan Persian, and that a Perrserker is the evolved form of the Meowth Napoleon has. "The Meowth Matori has is a snob just like Giovanni's Persian and the Meowth that nerdy twig Napoleon has is a jerk. I hope they get back from their vacation soon, because I don't know how much longer how much I can take from that viking pain in the tail!" Meowth started to take a few deep breaths. "Don't let him push your buttons, Meowth. Don't let him push your buttons."
Back in the Wild Area, Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, and the other Pokémon were enjoying their dinner and for once that day, nothing went wrong. After a good night sleep, they were about to have some breakfast when they spotted a small, snake-like Pokémon that is colored tan, beige and dark brown and has green eyes with black pupils.
"And who's that Pokémon?" Sora took out his Pokédex to scan it.
Silicobra, the Sand Snake Pokémon
Type: Ground
As it digs, it swallows sand and stores it in its neck pouch. The pouch can hold more than 17 pounds of sand. It spews sand from its nostrils. While the enemy is blinded, it burrows into the ground to hide.
"Silicobra. And it's a Ground Type. Pikachu's electricity won't phase it," Sora said. Sora thought of using either Grookey or Sobble. He decided to go with Sobble. "Go in, Sobble!" Sobble comes on to battle the sand snake Pokémon. Silicobra started off by firing sand right at the water lizard Pokémon, but Sobble turned invisible. Silicobra looked around for any signs. Just like any snake Pokémon, it listened by sensing vibrations on the ground. Silicobra found Sobble by smacking him with its tail, making Sobble turn visible. Silicobra then wraps its body around Sobble.
"He's using Wrap!" Kairi gasped.
"Sobble! Water Gun!" Sora ordered. Sobble struggled to use Water Gun, but the sand snake Pokémon was putting a squeeze on him. Sobble fires Water Gun into Silicobra's face. Silicobra lessened his opponent and Sobble is set free. "Now, use Pound!" Sobble smacks Silicobra on the side and fell to the side. Sora takes out a Pokéball and threw it at Silicobra. The Pokéball struck Silicobra and the Pokéball wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch. Sora's Pokémon Box activates and it asks him if he wants to keep Silicobra with him. He chose to send his newly caught Pokémon to Professor Oak's lab. "Good work again, Sobble!" Sobble had the urge to cry as Sora picks him up in his arms. "You did an excellent job. Sobble did cry a little, but at the same time, he beamed.
Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel continue on with their vacation in the Galar region and they prepare to see some more sights and catch some more Pokémon along the way. More fun coming soon.
