Reversal of Fortune: Chapter 12: If I Could Be Like Quick

(Scene Change: Royal Woods Middle School)

As Marcus Quick's limousine pulled into RWMS, he saw a sea of screaming students lining the neighboring sidewalks and grassy medians. They held, among other things, signs, Marcus' blue Detroit Lions #7 jersey, copies of his Madden NFL 2017 video game, and posters of him throwing or running with the football. The bleachers of RWMS' football field were also crowded with cheering kids from Royal Woods' various schools, their parents, and various other townsfolk. It took human walls of teachers and RWPD officers to hold them back. As Marcus saw this, he chuckled to the limo driver, "Just another day in the life."

Kirby turned back to Marcus and chuckled, "Yup."

Meanwhile, the RWMS Squirrels football team was finishing warmups, led by, among others, Lynn Loud Jr., the youngest and smallest of the team's apparent captains. As Marcus' limousine rounded the school before parking alongside RWMS' football field, the RWMS football team finished their warmups and gathered around Coach Williams to be assigned to their respective positional practices.

Before Coach Williams addressed his team, he heard thunderous roars surrounding him on all sides. When Coach Williams turned behind him to see Marcus Quick stepping out of his limo, he chuckled, "Alright… so some rumors may have been spreading that we may have gotten a special guest to come to practice today. And since you guys played really well last week, and to celebrate the return of our captain, we decided to give you a little surprise."

When RWMS' football team saw Marcus, they immediately cheered, "JHEEZ!", "YES!", and "MFIC!", immediately patting Lynn Jr. on the head, back, and shoulder pads. Lynn Jr. blushed, though inwardly, she was barely suppressing her own squeals. As the football team cheered, Coach Williams introduced, "Kids… reigning Super Bowl champion, Super Bowl MVP, and NFL MVP… Detroit Lions starting quarterback… Number 7… MARCUS! QUICK!"

As police officers escorted Marcus onto RWMS' field, students filed out of the grassy median and followed him towards the gates of the football field. Those who made it through stood on the steps of the bleachers and crowded around the football field, while those who didn't settled for watching Marcus through the fences.

When Marcus met up with the Squirrels, he slapped Coach Williams on the back before addressing the team, "Yo, what's up?! Coach here asked me to run some drills with you guys today, just wanted to see if you guys were down."

The RWMS football team immediately cheered, making Marcus laugh, "I'll take that as a yes. Now listen to your coach. We're gonna do some breakdowns."

Coach Williams chuckled to his players, "Alright, you know what to do. Break into your groups."

The Squirrels players cheered loudly before separating into their usual position groups: running backs, linemen, linebackers, defensive backs, and finally, a group of quarterbacks and receivers. As they did, Coach Williams asked, "Mr. Quick, you mind working out with the QB's and receivers? They could use some pro instruction."

Marcus chuckled, "Please, call me Marcus. And yeah, I'll go over there."

Marcus ran onto the field, trailing behind RWMS' quarterbacks and receivers as they lined up in the western endzone to run drills. Lynn Jr. yelled to her receivers, "2's!", which meant slant routes. Just before meeting up with her receivers and the other quarterbacks, Lynn Jr. noticed her palms growing sweaty. Worried as to whether she would even be able to hold onto the ball in Marcus' presence, much less throw it accurately, she wiped her hands off on her pants and grabbed the ball.

Lynn Jr. then yelled to the first receiver, Latavius, wearing number 80, "Down, set, hut!", and Latavius burst off the line of scrimmage as Lynn Jr. dropped back. Latavius took two steps forward before cutting diagonally towards the middle of the field. When Latavius cut, Lynn Jr. threw the ball hard at him, but unfortunately, she overthrew him. Latavius stopped and tried to jump for the ball, but the ball sailed over his outstretched arms, and he punched his fist downward in frustration while running towards the back of the line. Lynn Jr. under-threw the next receiver in line, Jeremy, who was wearing number 81, causing him to hit the ground before he dusted himself off and picked him up to get to the back of the line. After this process repeated itself with Tony, who wore number 88, the crowd started to boo and chant Marcus' name in frustration. When Marcus saw an intimidated Lynn Jr. despondently slump, he asked the backup quarterback, "Hey, kid, what's your name."

A large, white, blonde boy wearing number 10 stammered in awe, "B-B-B-Byron."

Marcus smiled, "Alright, Byron. Why don't you throw to these receivers while I go talk to Lynn Jr.?"

Byron gasped, "Sir, yes, sir!", and immediately grabbed a football and started throwing.

Marcus then told Lynn Jr., "Come with me." Lynn Jr. fawned awkwardly and blushed before following Quick.

When Lynn Jr. and Marcus were away from the quarterbacks and receivers, Marcus tried to encourage, "Lynn, look. I know you're nervous out there."

Meanwhile, Lynn Jr. kept grinning toothily at Marcus and staring at him with wide, starstruck eyes. Marcus groaned, snapped his fingers, and firmly told Lynn Jr., "Hey, kid, get your head in the game!"

That caused Lynn Jr. to shake her head frantically before straightening and finally managing to look her hero in the eyes.

When Marcus saw this, he knelt to Lynn Jr.'s level and started, "Look, I get it."

Lynn Jr. yelped, "No, you don't! Dude, you're Marcus Quick!"

Marcus laughed, "Believe me, I know. I felt the same way when my idol, Allan Ivinson, came down to my basketball camp when I was your age."

Lynn Jr. asked, "Allan Ivinson? Who's that?"

Marcus chuckled, "Kid, you've got a lot to learn," before continuing, "When I met Allan, I was just as nervous as you. I kept losing my handle on the ball, airballed my shots… I sucked, honestly."

Lynn Jr. gasped before suggesting, "Didn't you get talcum powder for that? That's what I always use."

Marcus laughed, "For someone who claims to be a 'big fan,' you clearly don't know that much about me. I come from Newport News. Ain't nobody got talcum powder in Newport News."

Lynn Jr. mouthed, "Oh," before Marcus suggested, "Anyway, Allan took me aside and told me, 'Don't overthink it, play with your instinct.' And that's what I'm gonna tell you to do. Your problem is mental, not physical. Just listen to your coaches & trust yourself to do what you need to do, and trust me, you'll be OK."

Lynn Jr. gave Marcus a military salute while yelling, "Sir, yes, sir!", to which Marcus Quick chuckled, "That's more like it! Now, get back out there!"

When Lynn Jr. returned to the quarterbacks and receivers group, she told Byron, "Snap the ball to me. I'm back in business."

From there, Lynn Jr. absolutely dominated her team's practice. She hit receivers at precisely the right spot with every route they ran. As Marcus watched Lynn Jr., he gave her tips on footwork, releasing the ball quicker, and stepping backward when dropping back to pass instead of hopping backward. After Marcus' coaching, Lynn Jr.'s throwing power and accuracy increased while also conserving her stamina. Her throws elicited lots of "ooh's" and "aah's" from both the crowd and her own teammates.

After half an hour or so of that, combined with a short water break, the coach made the offensive players form one group, and the defensive players form another, in order to run skeleton plays. Marcus decided to join the offensive players as sort of a mock QB spy, while Coach Williams joined the defensive players as a quarterback, with his assistant, Coach Keck, snapping the ball to him.

When Marcus introduced Lynn Jr. and the team to his first passing play, "Spider 2Y Banana", Lynn Jr. grumbled, "Why can't I run the ball like you? You're like… the fastest player in the NFL!"

Marcus explained, "Even if I am, all my talent don't mean anything if I don't master the fundamentals first! The only reason I'm in the NFL is because I worked on the fundamentals… over and over again! From a highlight reel superstar, don't focus on making the highlight reel… focus on making the right play. That's why I'm trusting you with this playbook."

Lynn Jr. groaned, "Fine," before asking, "But why are you doing this?"

Marcus remarked, "Lynn, I know you can run. I've seen your highlights. But as you go through high school and college, you're gonna need to learn to work in the pocket. If you plan on making it in the NFL, as a quarterback, that's the main thing they're gonna assess you on. Not your running ability… your passing ability. Personally, because I was so fast, a few teams wanted to play me at running back."

Lynn Jr. scoffed, "You? A running back? Whichever scouts said that about you are crazy!"

Marcus sighed, "You'd be surprised. A lot of schools that recruited me only recruited me for my athleticism, and not my ability to play quarterback. They wanted me to play running back, wide receiver, defensive back. Look: you want to play quarterback at the next level, right?"

Lynn Jr. agreed, "Yeah."

Marcus prompted Lynn Jr., "Good. Then show me you can pass."

Lynn Jr. thumped her chest before proclaiming, "Challenge accepted. I'm gonna be the best passer you've ever seen."

Marcus slapped Lynn Jr.'s helmet while laughing, "Good. Now go get 'em, champ!"

When Lynn Jr. lined up under center, she yelled, "Down Set! Yellow 21! Yellow 21! Hut!" She then faked a handoff to the running back, setting up play-action, before rolling a little bit to the right and throwing the ball to the fullback about 5 yards downfield at the sideline. The fullback caught the ball in stride and sprinted down the sideline, causing Marcus to blow his whistle to signal a successful play.

(Time Skip: 30 minutes later)

Coach Williams blew his whistle, and yelled out, "Walkthroughs!", to end his team's water break and signal that the full-contact football practice was about to start.

As Lynn Jr. ran back to the huddle, Marcus called her aside yet again. When Lynn Jr. met with Marcus, Marcus told her, "Now… I want you to go out there and trust your instincts."

Lynn Jr. nodded, "Thanks, Marcus," before running to Coach Williams to ask him, "Hey, Coach, what play should I run?" When Coach Williams whispered his suggested play to Lynn Jr., she ran back to the offensive huddle and told her teammates the play. She then ran to the line of scrimmage and yelled, "Down! Black 99! Set! Black 99! Hut! Hut!", before taking the snap.

When Lynn Jr. took the snap, she dropped back into the pocket and looked for an open receiver first, as Marcus instructed her to. She found one when her first target, Latavius, ran past cornerback Josh, who was wearing number 24, downfield on a go route. From there, Lynn Jr. threw the ball as hard as she could, remembering the techniques Marcus taught her, and managed to hit Latavius in stride about 30 yards downfield. The pass couldn't have been more accurate if Lynn Jr. walked up to Latavius and personally handed him the ball. With no one left to beat, Latavius ran untouched the rest of the way into the endzone for a touchdown, making the crowd cheer.

Coach Williams clapped, "Alright!", before Lynn Jr. ran back to Coach Williams for her next play. She then ran back to the huddle and to the line of scrimmage, before calling out, "Down! Set! Red 11! Red 11! Hut!" As Lynn Jr. looked for an open receiver, she saw a big, burly defensive end wearing number 90 named Alan running full speed at her unblocked. She spun away from Alan, causing him to grasp nothing but air, before finding a hole in between two of the offensive linemen blocking for her. Once she did that, she saw herself about to collide head-on with a linebacker wearing number 59 named Luke, who she juked to the ground. After that, she ran diagonally downfield, trying to see if she could outrun the safety, Troy, who was wearing number 43, and get him to take a bad angle at her. Fortunately for Lynn, she was fast enough that Troy missed when he tried to dive for the tackle. From there, Lynn Jr. ran in a serpentine fashion the rest of the 75 yards to the endzone, causing raucous cheers among those present in the bleachers. A couple of the students in the crowd even filmed the play on their phones, and Marcus clapped his hands and smiled while watching the play.

After a similar sequence unfolded on the next play, this time with Lynn Jr. running around her blockers before stiff-arming two would-be tacklers, Larry, who was wearing number 56, and Ronnie, who was wearing number 42, on her way to the endzone, Coach Williams blew his whistle and yelled, "Great practice, great practice!"

Once the RWMS Squirrels gathered around Marcus and Coach Williams, Coach Williams complimented them, "Great job out there, guys! Defense… you're gonna need a little work, but we'll get you ready for Friday… I guarantee you that! As for offense… the MVP of this practice… Lynn, get over here."

Lynn's teammates whooped, hollered, and cheered in unison as Lynn walked up to Coach Williams and took the practice ball from him. While doing so, Marcus assured Lynn Jr., "You deserve this."

Lynn sniffled, "Thanks, Marcus," before Coach Williams told his players, "Alright, calm down!"

When the RWMS Squirrels calmed down, Coach Williams and Marcus traded glances before Coach Williams told them, "We ended practice early because Marcus and I made a bet." Pointing to Lynn Jr., Coach Williams continued, "If Lynn Jr. here can catch a pass from Marcus Quick… you all get to go home right now."

The entire team erupted in a chorus of "Yeah!", before Coach Williams interrupted them, "However… if Lynn fails, you guys have to run three laps around the track… and then you can go home."

The Squirrels murmured and groaned amongst themselves until Troy, a fair-skinned brown-haired boy, yelled, "I think that's a challenge, Lynn-er Lynn-er Chicken Dinner! You ready for it?!"

Coach Williams then asked, "Lynn… can you do it? Catch a pass from Quick for your teammates?"

The rest of Lynn's teammates shouted encouraging words at her like, "DO IT!", "I WISH I HAD MY PHONE OUT RIGHT NOW!", and "COME ON LYNN, I KNOW YOU AIN'T NO CHICKEN!"

LLynn thumped her chest and yelled, "Let's go!", causing her entire team to cheer loudly, patting her on the shoulder pads and helmet while she ran to the field to get ready to catch one of Marcus Quick's passes. Meanwhile, the rest of the crowd remaining in the bleachers began to stand up and cheer in anticipation.

When Marcus and Lynn Jr. gathered at midfield, Marcus told her, "Run as far downfield as possible," to which Lynn Jr. determinedly nodded before lining up on the sideline. As all eyes turned to the two of them, Marcus squatted down, picked up the ball, and yelled, "Down, set, hut!", before starting a seven-step dropback. As soon as Marcus dropped back to pass, Lynn Jr. burst out of the line of scrimmage and ran straight downfield, putting her hand up to signal she was ready for the ball.

Once Marcus set his feet, he threw an absolute dart of a lob pass about 35 yards downfield towards the sideline. Lynn Jr., worried that Quick may have overthrown her, somehow managed to find an extra gear, and sprinted faster than she thought possible towards the ball. As Lynn Jr. noticed the ball almost sail above her head, she extended her arms out as far as they could go and opened her hands into a diamond position. With the ball seemingly a split-second away from hitting the ground, Lynn Jr. stretched her body out, and the ball hit her right in the hands. Though Lynn Jr. initially had trouble holding onto it due to the ball's speed and rotation and the fact that she had basically completely stretched her body out to make the catch, she held on and maintained control of the ball as she hit the ground.

Lynn Jr. had caught a pass from Marcus Quick. Upon noticing this, the entire RWMS football team, its coaches, the fans in the stands, and even Marcus Quick himself, cheered loudly in approval. They immediately swarmed Lynn Jr. with compliments and cheers, dogpiled on her, lifted her off the ground, and tried to carry her off the field before Coach Williams blew his whistle to urge them to put his star player down. When Lynn Jr.'s teammates put her down, it didn't stop them from bearhugging her and giving her congratulatory slaps on the helmet and shoulder pads. The cheering continued for about a minute before Coach Williams blew his whistle again to calm his players down.

After that, Coach Williams chuckled, "Alright, Lynn, break us down!"

The team immediately chorused, "Yeah," and clapped loudly as they gathered around Lynn Jr. When Lynn Jr. saw Marcus Quick join the team in the huddle, any feelings of nervousness were drowned out by the encouraging look Marcus gave her. Lynn Jr. then cleared her throat before telling her team, "Great job today! Let's get back out there tomorrow, day after that, next week… and keep kicking butt!"

The team responded, "Yeah!"

Lynn Jr. screamed, "AND DOMINATING!", to which the team yelled, "YEAH!", while cheering and mobbing Lynn. Lynn Jr. then put her hand up to end the practice, to which the rest of the team, and even Marcus Quick himself, followed. Lynn Jr. finally yelled, "SQUIRRELS ON THREE! 1! 2! 3!", to which the rest of her teammates yelled, "SQUIRRELS!", before cheering loudly and running back to the locker room.

As Marcus walked back to Coach Williams, he smiled before commenting, "That Lynn girl… she's got some potential."

Coach Williams responded, "Yeah. Too bad she wastes it all on doing 'luck' rituals before the game."

Marcus nodded, "Yeah, but I get it."

Coach Williams gasped before asking, "Wait, you do?"

Marcus disclosed, "Yeah. That Sweetwater cat told me everything when he called me."

Coach Williams gasped before Marcus continued, "But it's just dances and stuff. It's nothing compared to what I've seen guys do in the NFL. One of my teammates lays his entire uniform out in his hotel room before every game day. His entire uniform. And he insists no one touches it. I have guys who puke in the bathroom right before a game, guys who prep touchdown dances the whole week… it's crazy out there."

Coach Williams sputtered, "Seriously?"

Marcus smiled, "Athletes are weird people. I'll talk to her."

Coach Williams replied, "Alright," before Marcus remembered, "Oh, wait… I have something for you. I gotta go to the limo first."

Coach Williams responded, "OK", while Marcus jogged to his limo. When Marcus opened the door to his limo and instructed Kirby, "Yo, you mind helping me out with something?", and search for what he was getting the coach, Coach Williams inwardly wondered what Marcus was going to get him. When Marcus and the limo driver pulled out a big box from the back of the limo, Coach Williams gasped in delight. The box apparently contained the replacement for the destroyed squirrel suit that Marcus promised to give to the team. Closer inspection revealed that the box was signed by Marcus Quick himself, and that the squirrel would wear a red #7 jersey.

After placing the box next to Coach Williams, Marcus told him, "Here. Compliments of the house."

Coach Williams opened the box on the spot, and gasped in relief when he saw a brand new squirrel mascot suit in perfect condition. Coach Williams immediately shook Marcus' hand, "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!", as Lynn Jr. emerged from the locker room. When Coach Williams saw Lynn Jr., he told her, "Lynn, come here."

Lynn Jr. obliged before asking, "Yeah?"

Marcus complimented Lynn Jr., "You were really good out there today."

Lynn Jr. gasped before blushing and stammering, "T-t-thanks, M-Mr. Quick."

Marcus smiled, "You're welcome," before suggesting, "Hey, that new squirrel suit came through, you wanna check it out?"

Lynn Jr. gasped before cheering, "New squirrel suit? AWESOME! Can I see it? Can I try it on?"

Coach Williams and Marcus chuckled before Marcus told Lynn Jr., "Alright, alright. Try it on, see how far you can go."

Lynn Jr. squealed, "EEEE! THANKS, MARCUS!"

Marcus chuckled back, "No problem," as Lynn Jr. raced to put the squirrel suit on.

When Lynn finally put the squirrel suit on, she walked, ran, and even danced in the suit for about a minute. When Lynn Jr. decided she was done with the squirrel suit, she took it off, handed it to Coach Williams, and told him, "Yup, this baby is good. Now, all we gotta do is find Lincoln and get him back in this thing! Then I'll never lose a game again!"

Marcus and Coach Williams laughed at Lynn Jr.'s enthusiasm before Marcus inquired, "Hey, you got a ride home?"

Lynn Jr. scoffed, "As if. My dad's probably still at work, and I haven't heard anything from Mom, so between that and my other sisters' things, I usually won't get a ride home until, like, 7."

Marcus uttered, "Wow, that must be tough."

Lynn Jr. replied, "It's all good. I usually run home, anyway."

Marcus praised, "That's a great way to pass the time. You keep working like that… you're gonna make it big."

Lynn Jr. squealed and jumped up and down before Marcus asked her, "Hey… my limo's over there. You want a ride home? On me!"

Lynn Jr. gasped and blushed before stammering, "I-I don't know. My-my mom said not to take rides from strangers."

Coach Williams encouraged, "Come on, Lynn! It's not every day you get a limo ride home from Mr. Bigshot NFL Superstar over here!"

Marcus chuckled, "Man, stop it!" He then pointed to Coach Williams and laughed to Lynn Jr., "This guy," before asking, "So, you in?"

Lynn Jr. beamed, "Heck yeah, I'm in!"

Marcus chuckled, "Awesome! Hey, put your stuff in the back, we got plenty of room!"

Lynn Jr. replied, "Oh, I will," before waving, "Bye Coach Williams! See you tomorrow!"

Coach Williams waved goodbye to Lynn Jr. before jokingly shouting, "Hey, see if you can get an autograph for ol' Coach over here!"

Lynn Jr. laughed, "I will! Now, see ya!", before waving goodbye to Coach Williams one last time, to which Coach Williams waved back as he saw Lynn Jr. and Marcus off.

Marcus then held the limo door open for Lynn Jr., who quickly threw her stuff in the limo's backseat before plopping herself down on one of the limo's plush leather seats.

Suddenly, a familiar face turned back to Lynn Jr. and tipped his cap, "Hey, superstar! Remember me?"

Lynn Jr. gasped, "Kirby? Kirby the Driver?"

Kirby smirked, "Mm-hmm, the one and only."

Lynn Jr. loudly chortled, "Oh-ho-ho-ho! Sweet! I get to hang out with my favorite football player AND a good friend!"

Kirby crowed, "You know it!", before asking, "Hey, you and my client wanna go for Burpin' Burger again? They got the $2 Tuesday special on today!"

Lynn Jr. replied, "Nah, I'm good. Dad's making turkey loaf today."

Kirby said, "Fair enough," before seeing his paid client enter the limo. He then cheered, "Hey, there's my main man, Marcus Quick!" Marcus dapped up Kirby before sitting across from Lynn Jr. in the limo. As he did, Kirby asked Marcus, "So, where to next?"

Marcus requested, "1216 Franklin Avenue. You know, Lynn's house."

Kirby gasped, "That house? It's a literal madhouse!"

Marcus downplayed, "Kirby, my guy, I'm from Bad Newz. I can handle anything. Believe that."

Kirby chuckled, "Alright, as you wish," before starting to drive towards the Loud House. As he did, Lynn Jr. pulled out her phone, unlocked it, scrolled through her contact list until she found "Mom", and pressed her phone number to call her.

Rita answered after the first dial tone, "Hey, L.J., what's going on?"

Lynn Jr. chirped, "Nothing much, mom! Hey, I killed it at practice today!"

Rita praised, "That's great, honey!", before offering, "Hey, your dad's making turkey loaf today… you want us to pick you up?"

Lynn Jr. replied, "Nah, I'm good. I'm getting a ride home from one of my friends today."

Rita jested, "Great! Saves me the trip!", before asking, "Hey, how long will it take you to be home?"

Lynn Jr. informed, "Uh, about 10-15 minutes."

Rita said, "Great! Hey, say hi to Coach Williams for me!"

Lynn Jr. chuckled, "I did. Bye, Mom! See you at home!"

Rita responded, "Bye, honey! Love you!", before hanging up.

As Lynn Jr. put her phone away, she chuckled to Marcus, "Moms."

Marcus laughed, "Yeah. You know… cherish that woman. She'll go to the ends of the earth for you."

Lynn Jr. assured him, "I know, I know." The two spent the rest of the drive home talking about football and life in general. While Lynn had already known about Marcus' rough upbringing, hearing some of his stories about watching friends die right in front of him shook her to the core. Meanwhile, Marcus found himself amused at some of the stories Lynn told about her life with her own family.

(Time Skip: 10 minutes later, Loud House)

When Kirby's limo finally pulled up at the Loud House, Kirby saw his passengers off, "Alright, here we are, 1216 Franklin Avenue. Your stuff's in the back."

Lynn Jr. got out of the limo first, and chirped, "Hey, thanks for the ride, Kirby!"

Kirby smiled, "You're welcome! Hey, say hi to your folks for me, by the way. And especially that boy, Lincoln. He's a good egg."

Lynn Jr. assured, "I will. See ya!"

Kirby tipped his cap to Lynn Jr. before telling Marcus, "Now, about the bill."

Meanwhile, inside the Loud House, the rest of the Loud siblings were watching Dessert Storm when they heard the limo's familiar horn. Remembering the previous summer's Burpin' Burger ordeal, they groaned before Lori scoffed, "Great. Lincoln's back. And he'd better stay in that squirrel suit this time. OR ELSE!"

Lola roared, "DANG STRAIGHT! I NEED HIS GOOD LUCK FOR MY PAGEANT TONIGHT!"

When the Louds saw Lynn Jr. emerge out of the limo, they gasped before Luna asked, "Wait… what is Lynn-sanity doing in that limo?"

The Loud sisters' jaws dropped when they saw Marcus emerge from the limo. They murmured amongst themselves, "What?!", or, "No way!"

A shocked Lisa offered, "I'll get the DNA scanner!", and quickly ran to her room to do so.

Suddenly, Lynn Jr. slammed the door open, shouting, "Sup, nerds?"

The rest of the sisters chattered unintelligibly in response before Marcus Quick walked into the living room. When the Loud sisters saw Marcus, every Loud sister except Lily, Lisa, and Lynn Jr. immediately stared and blushed, "Ba…ba…ba…".

Then, Lisa introduced herself while holding out a scientific vial, "Greetings, I'm Lisa Loud, Ph.D. My sibling units suspect that you're a person of renown. Street name: celebrity. Just spit into this vial so we can confirm your identity."

Marcus adoringly chuckled, "OK," before spitting into the vial.

Lisa responded, "Thank you," before putting on gloves and placing the sample into a special compartment inside a Walkman-shaped DNA scanner. After a few seconds, the DNA scanner's yellow light beeped, and the scanner's voice system said, "Test results complete."

Lisa cheered, "Excellent!" She then put the DNA scanner on the ground, where it instantly sprouted legs and showed her a holographic image of the results of the DNA test.

The DNA scanner's voice system announced, "IDENTITY CONFIRMED: MARCUS QUICK. NFL QUARTERBACK, DETROIT LIONS. AGE 24 YEARS, 100 DAYS."

Every Loud sister except for Lynn Jr., Lily, & Lisa immediately gasped at this revelation, while Lynn Jr. crossed her arms and smirked, "Told ya!"

Lily also crossed her arms and pointed at the rest of her elder sisters while babbling, "Tadja!"

After gasping in shock, the Loud sisters squealed so loudly in excitement that they could be heard on the next street. They hugged each other and jumped up and down while doing so. This caused Lynn Sr. and Rita to rush into the living room and yell, "Kids, what's going…", before gasping at the sight of Marcus Quick.

When Marcus smiled at Lynn Sr., the Loud patriarch screamed unintelligible gibberish in excitement before ultimately fainting. Rita giggled at her husband before introducing herself, "Hi, Mr. Quick… it's so nice to meet you in person! Lynn Jr.'s told me so many nice things about you! I'm hoping you had a great time with her."

Marcus smiled, "Please, Mrs. Loud, call me Marcus," causing Rita to squeal. Marcus continued, "And yeah, your daughter's a…", before being interrupted by every Loud sister swarming Marcus. The Loud sisters talked so frantically and crowded around Marcus so closely that he found it hard to hear himself think, let alone move.

Rita, who had gotten out of the way just in time, blew her whistle to get everyone's attention. She then yelled, "Timeout! I know we all like Mr. Quick here, but one at a time, please! And I was talking to him to set up dinner plans! So, until I'm done, on the couch, now!"

All of the Loud sisters immediately groaned loudly as they walked back to the sofa, with a few even exclaiming, "Hypocrite!" As the Loud daughters de-surrounded Marcus, Rita apologized, "Sorry about my daughters… they're not usually like this."

Marcus reassured Rita, "It's cool. Looks like I got a lot of fans in this house."

Luan screamed, "Well, that's fan-tastic! Hahahaha, get it?", to which the rest of her siblings groaned. Luan then said, "But seriously," before gushing, "I LOVE YOU, MARCUS QUICK!"

The Loud sisters immediately joined Luan in squealing, cheering loudly, and jumping on the couch. To calm her daughters down, Rita blew her whistle again and pointed her finger downwards while yelling, "Girls… down… now! If you don't calm down right now, I am sending all of you to your rooms for the rest of the night!"

The Loud daughters complained and groaned before slumping back onto the couch.

The Loud daughters complained and groaned before slumping back onto the couch. After that, Lynn Sr. relievedly sighed, "Oh, thanks honey."

Rita giggled, "Any time, dear," before kissing Lynn Sr. on the cheek and introducing him to Marcus, "And this is my husband, Lynn."

Marcus responded, "Oh, two Lynn's. Well, that makes sense. I met Lynn Jr., so there had to be a Lynn Sr."

Lynn Sr. immediately chirped, "Lynn Loud Sr.", while shaking Marcus' hand. Lynn Sr. continued, "My daughter and I have been huge fans of yours since your freshman year in college! Leaping over entire defenses, faking everybody out, your commercials on TV… man, you should see Junior's room when you get a chance! It's basically a collage of your career!"

Marcus chuckled, "Wow… so Lynn Jr. really is a superfan, huh?"

Rita replied, "Yup! Hey, did I ever tell you about that time when Lynn was 10 and after your first game, she'd run all over the house daring her other siblings to catch her, yelling, 'I'm Marcus Quick!'"

Lynn Jr. blushed, "Mooooooom… you're embarrassing me!"

Rita then ruffled Lynn Jr.'s hair as she cooed, "Oh, it's OK, you were the biggest Marcus Quick fan back then! And you still are!"

Marcus joked, "Other than changing that red to blue and a #1 to a #7, I guess we're good, then," to which Marcus and the three Louds present shared a laugh. Marcus then complimented Lynn Jr., "I was trying to say, Junior here was great at practice today. Throwing accurate spirals, running around defenses… she picked up some of my team's plays really quickly! She's in 7th grade! That's nuts!"

Rita gasped before beaming, "Well, that's great to know! I always knew this little girl would be a big sports star, but not to the point where she'd be meeting Marcus Quick at only 13 years old!"

Marcus quipped, "I guess dreams do come true, then!" Lynn Jr., the Loud parents, and Marcus shared a laugh at that before Marcus asked, "Now, what's for grub?"

Rita explained, "Oh… my husband here was making dinner for the family until he fainted meeting you." She then asked Lynn Sr., "Honey… you mind getting started up on dinner again?"

Lynn Sr. replied, "No problem-o!" before kissing Rita on the cheek and singing a jazzy tune to himself while walking back to the kitchen.

When Rita saw her daughters making predatory grins at Marcus, she groaned before telling them, "OK, girls… so now that everybody's calm, how about everybody walk over here and introduce themselves to Marcus." As the Loud sisters got ready to leap out of the couch, Rita blew her whistle before adding, "In a single-file line, please. Oldest to youngest. Junior, Lisa, since you two already know Marcus, you stand off to the side, past the staircase."

Despite wanting to compete over Marcus, each Loud sister did as they were told. Lily walked over to Rita before being picked up by her, while the rest of her sisters struggled to suppress their squeals as they introduced themselves to Marcus.

Lori started, giggling, "Hi… I'm Lori. Lori Loud. Eldest sibling, 17 years old," while emphasizing the "17" part. She then continued, "Nice to meet you," before moving over for the next sibling.

Leni immediately hugged Marcus while exclaiming, "Hiiiii… I'm Leni! And we're going to have so much fun together!" She then purred, "And guess what… I'm 16," before giggling.

Luna then gave a polite handshake and introduced herself, "Luna Loud at your service. I'm only 15, though, bummer." When Luna mentioned she was only 15, she glared enviously at Lori & Leni before walking to their side. Everyone else shrugged it off.

As Luan walked up to Marcus, Rita shook her head before asking, "Joy buzzer, please?"

Luan sighed before punning, "Aww… Mom… I was just helping him prepare for the Chargers! Hahaha… get it?", to which the rest of her family groaned. She then introduced herself, "Hi, I'm Luan Loud. Family's resident prankster and comedian." Luan politely shook Marcus' hand before standing with her older sisters off to the side.

Next, Lucy smiled, "Hello, I'm Lucy. May the spirits fare you well in your time here. And thank everything you're nothing like my roommate," before shaking Marcus' hand and moving to the side.

Lana spit in her hand before trying to jiggle Marcus' hand while shaking it. Unfortunately for Lana, Marcus' hand stayed firm as she introduced herself, "Hey… Lana Loud. Mechanic, gator wrestler, handygirl, and friend to all living things," before moving to the side.

Lola then walked up, curtsied, and extended her hand, "Lola Loud… charmed." After shaking Marcus' hand, she kissed him on the knuckles before moving to the side.

Finally, Lily babbled, "Hi Ma-cu, I Wiwy."

Marcus gushed at Lily's attempt to introduce herself before Rita suggested, "Alright, now wrapping this up… we're also going to spend time with Marcus one at a time, in order."

Lori immediately interrupted Rita, "I call youngest-to-oldest!"

Leni gasped before asking, "But why? Don't you normally say, 'oldest sibling first?'"

Lori slyly whispered back, "Yeah, Leni, but this is literally a special case. Plus, we need the time. I'm planning on something big for our guest here."

Leni immediately gasped before she and Lori amorously giggled as they walked upstairs to their room.

After watching Lori and Leni close their bedroom door, Rita declared, "OK… so since we're going youngest-to-oldest, Lily and Lisa, you two go first."

Lisa cheered, "Excellent! Come with me, Marcus… you're going to love this!"

After Marcus, Lisa, Rita, and Lily arrived in Lisa and Lily's room, Rita put Lily inside her crib before saying, "Now, you three have fun," before closing the door.

As soon as Rita closed the door, Lisa flipped a switch, revealing a massive machine full of wires, medical equipment, and sensors. A massive computer screen with a very elaborate keyboard was attached to it. The medical equipment and technology in Lisa's room was equivalent to, and in some cases better than, what could be found in world-class hospitals. In addition, certificates that looked like doctorates in numerous fields lined the wall. Marcus' jaw dropped at the sight of the equipment and certificates, as he gushed, "Whoa… it looks like the trainers' room back at the facility!"

Lisa nodded, "Precisely. I'm going to assess, among other things, your body composition, physical attributes, any injuries or illnesses you may have, and your risk of future medical complications. Professional American football is a high-risk career, with its former players known to develop complications such as chronic traumatic encephalopathy, or CTE, spinal injuries, paralysis, amputations, and joint pain. Such complications can lead to a reduced quality of life after playing and a premature death. I'm hoping you've watched the movie, Concussion."

Marcus chuckled, "I'm glad you're concerned about my health… but I don't need all that. I got team doctors for that."

Lisa assured Marcus, "You will be happy to know that I have trained half of the members of the Lions' medical staff. I assure you, all of my medical procedures are consistent with standard NFL testing procedures and all state and federal laws."

Marcus countered, "Thanks, Lisa… but my body composition? Physical abilities? Injuries/illnesses? You can find my scouting combine info online. And if I get hurt/sick, everybody knows about it in minutes."

Lisa retorted, "Pish-posh. You should know, 80 percent of NFL injuries go unreported. And my fifth-eldest sibling unit relies on you being as free of maladies as possible to lead her favorite team to victory in successive 168-hour intervals. In English, Lynn Jr. wants you to lead the Lions to victory every week. Plus, she would be devastated if you met a premature death." Marcus gulped when Lisa disclosed, "My prevention and cure procedures will also include various performance-enhancing substances to make sure you achieve peak performance during every game."

Marcus gasped, "Wait… performance-enhancing substances? Is the stuff you're going to give me… legal?"

Lisa scoffed, "Pssh…. tomato/tomato. My data suggests there's a 99% chance either you or your teammates are regularly taking substances that would classify as PED's under the NFL's rules and regulations. Like I said, I train NFL doctors. So, what'll it be?"

Marcus gently responded, "Thanks, but, I'm out. I'll get a second opinion from my doctors and then get back to you."

Lisa dismissed Marcus, "Suit yourself. You can see yourself out."

Marcus gave Lily a kiss on the forehead before walking out of the room. As Marcus left Lisa and Lily's room, he looked around for Lola and Lana's room before his eyes settled on the room directly across the hallway from him. When he knocked on the door, he heard a shrill, "WHO IS IT?" from the other side of the room.

Marcus answered, "It's me, Marcus."

Lola swung the door open with a toothy grin before trying to drag Marcus into the room as she screeched, "COME IN! COME IN! Don't want to miss the tea party!"

When Lola slammed the door shut, she groaned as she quickly glanced over Marcus' outfit. She pondered, "Hmm," before deciding, "OK… the outfit's a little casual, but it's all-black. I'll allow it, but I'm watching you. And… whatever that is on your head, it has to go."

Marcus protested, "Can't take that off, Lola. It's my durag." Before Lola could protest further, Marcus interrupted her, "I'm trying to grow out these braids, and I need it so the texture stays consistent."

Lola gasped before squealing, "Finally! Someone who gets it! Why didn't you just say so?" Lola then exclaimed, "Come, take a seat!" while holding a tiny pink chair out for him. Marcus jokingly curtsied to Lola before taking his seat. Lola took the seat right next to him, while various stuffed animals littered both the other seats and Lola's bed. Lola then poured imaginary tea with a "teapot" into the "teacups" of her & her "guests". After Lola finished doing so, she banged on her teacup twice with her finger before clearing her throat and starting, "On behalf of my esteemed guests, I would like to propose a toast."

Lola and Marcus raised their glasses before Lola continued, "To Marcus Quick. My sister, Lynn's, inspiration, and her muse. May your luck and skill continue to bless my sister, our family, your team, and our city with many more victories to come. Cheers."

Marcus chuckled in adoration before returning a "cheers" to Lola and clinking his glass against Lola's. They proceeded to "drink" from the "teacups," and even accompanied their "drinking" with imaginary soft slurping sounds.

After that, Lola exhaled, "Aaaaah… thanks, Marcus."

Marcus responded, "No problem, any time. Now, where's…"

Lana interrupted, "LANA LOUD IN THE HOUSE!", before loudly belching. This caused Lola to glare at Lana while Marcus snickered to himself. When Lola noticed Marcus snicker, she glared at him for a split-second before ultimately deciding to let it slide. Marcus was a rich, popular celebrity football star, after all. And she had seen him in a couple of movies… so she guessed she could count him as an actor.

Lana then implored Marcus, "Come on… come on… you've gotta meet my pets!", while dragging him off to her side of the twins' shared room.

Marcus laughed before quickly tensing up when all of Lana's pets growled at him. Charles, Cliff, Geo, Walt, Izzy, El Diablo, Bitey, an alligator, a fox, a monkey, a pig, a turtle, and another snake all growled at Marcus before angrily charging him, knocking him flat on his butt. Hops also leapt out of Lana's coveralls pocket to join in before Lana whistled, "Hey, get off Marcus! Bad animals! Bad!"

As Lana's animals scurried off in all directions, Lana quickly ran over to Quick, held out her hand for him to use to stand back up, and dusted him off while profusely apologizing, "Oh my god… I'm so sorry about that, Mr. Quick. My animals… they're a little overprotective."

Marcus laughed it off, "Hey, it's all good. I've got a couple of dogs back home… they tend to be overprotective as well."

Lana beamed as she stammered, "You-you do?"

Marcus quipped, "Yeah. Their names are Rover and Grover."

Lana laughed before she and the rest of her siblings heard Rita call, "Kids, dinner's ready!" Marcus then told Lana, "And now, I'm gonna get some grub, so this conversation is over," causing both Lola and Lana to roll on the floor while hysterically laughing.

(Time Skip: 30 minutes later)

As the Louds finished their dinner at the big table, Marcus complimented, "Yo, this was a delicious dinner, Mr. Loud."

Lynn Sr. beamed, "Well, anything for the star quarterback of the Detroit Lions."

Marcus chuckled, "My teammates make me the star, not me."

Lucy deadpanned, "You hear that, Lynn? Your idol said his teammates made him the star, not him. Maybe take some lessons from him, huh?"

Lynn Jr. scoffed, "Like you'd know anything about sports, spooky."

Marcus interrupted, "Hey, Junior, you mind getting me a drink?"

Lynn Jr. gasped before beaming, "Sure, Marcus, what kind?"

Marcus requested, "OJ, please."

Luan joked, "Talk about 'the juice getting loose!' Hahahaha, get it?"

The rest of the Louds started to groan before Marcus jested, "Should've told you this, but your joy buzzer fit, so Mrs. Loud couldn't acquit!"

Luan, the Loud parents, and even Lori and Lynn Jr. laughed at Marcus' joke, while the rest of the Loud sisters groaned. Luan even smirked, "Well played, Marcus."

As Marcus walked upstairs, he trailed behind the rest of the Loud siblings and noticed them walk through specific doors. When Marcus remembered that the next pair of Loud siblings he promised to spend time with were Lucy & Lynn Jr., he walked to their room door and knocked, "Uh… Lucy, is it? Yeah, it's me, Marcus."

Lucy immediately opened the door and blankly told him, "Come in."

When Marcus entered Lucy and Lynn Jr.'s room, he noticed that it seemed to be split in two, with each half of the room belonging to one sibling. If Marcus were to guess, the one with a coffin for a bed & all-black was Lucy's, and the one with all the sports posters, pennants, and sports balls was Lynn Jr.'s. As Marcus closely observed Lynn Jr.'s side of the room, he chuckled as he saw his entire career encapsulated in a collage of posters.

Lucy heard Marcus' laughter and asked, "What's so funny?"

Marcus probed, "If Lynn Jr.'s wall is basically a shrine to me, why does she keep pictures of all the 'choking' memes there?"

Lynn Jr. explained, "Oh… it's to remind me that the 'haters' can never get me down, no matter what."

Marcus smiled, "Wow… so you really are a fan, huh?"

Lynn Jr. scoffed, "Am I your fan? What kind of question is that?", before exclaiming, "Of course I'm your fan! All the way to the end, baby! And I know with you at quarterback, we're going back-to-back this year!"

Marcus chuckled, "You already know… back-to-back!", before doing a weird "athlete's handshake" with Lynn Jr. for the next minute.

After finishing the handshake, Marcus marched over to Lucy and greeted her, "So, what's up, Luce?"

Lucy explained, "While you were hanging out with my younger sisters, I gazed into my crystal ball. I just wanted to warn you… beware," before Fangs flew onto the windowsill and hissed at Marcus.

An unnerved Marcus asked, "Beware? Of what?"

Lucy forewarned Marcus, "Your life is in grave danger. For the next few weeks, stay safe and don't go overboard."

Marcus slowly backed away from Lucy and muttered, "O-ok. Thanks, Luce."

Lynn Jr. loudly interrupted, "You know what… forget her! The Dream Boat is on!"

When Lynn Jr. mentioned The Dream Boat, the Loud House's hallways immediately rang to life with the chatter of excited girls discussing both the previous episodes' eliminations and which boys the captains would choose to eliminate at the end of the upcoming episode. As the Loud sisters sat on the couch, Lucy and Lynn Jr. immediately sat next to Marcus. The other Loud sisters glared at them before Lynn Jr. yelled, "Hey, it's our time to spend with Marcus! The rest of you girls, you either already got your turn or are about to get your turn!"

Lola shrieked, "I want to sit next to Marcus RIGHT NOW! You practiced with him for 2 HOURS!"

As the Loud sisters began to yell at each other over who would have the right to sit next to Marcus, he admitted, "First of all, Junior's right. I promised this time to her & Lucy," before asking, "Second, hate to end this conversation, but you guys know where the bathroom's at?"

Lynn Jr. informed Marcus, "Upstairs, furthest door to your left. Don't be long."

Marcus smiled, "I won't," before leaving the fighting Loud sisters to head to the bathroom, closing the door as he did.

When Marcus got to the bathroom, he immediately pulled out his cellphone and opened its Scramble app. Upon opening Scramble, Marcus found, at the top, the groupchat he was looking for: BNHM Dawghouse.

Marcus texted the groupchat, "Yo… this house… 1216 Franklin Avenue in Royal Woods… got some violent pets. They just attacked me lol. 10 girls living in there… all of them crazy. One with glasses has crazy science & techy shit… also beakers. Possibly major drugs. What I told u guys last night seems real. Come thru."

When a group member named Purnell Kiwanis asked, "When?", Marcus replied, "1 AM."

Each of the groupchat's members texted back something to the effect of, "Say less," or, "I'm in," while also thumbs-upping Marcus' previous messages.

Since Marcus had been using Scramble with his phone on silent mode, his texts neither made a sound nor were detected on Lisa's tracking systems. Marcus sighed in relief before flushing the toilet and washing and drying his hands to mime like he actually used the bathroom. After doing so, Marcus walked downstairs to join the rest of the Loud sisters in watching The Dream Boat.

(Time Skip: 20 minutes later)

As the credits for The Dream Boat credits started to roll, Marcus turned off the TV. As Marcus noticed the Loud sisters intensely at him, Marcus awkwardly said, "O-OK. Thanks, Lucy, Junior, it was real fun hanging out with you guys."

Lucy and Lynn Jr. purred, "You're welcome," causing the rest of the Loud sisters to glare harder at them.

Marcus then assured the Loud sisters, "Now, I'm gonna go hang out with Luan & Luna. And after I'm done with them, Leni & Lori. Don't worry girls, you'll get your turn."

Every Loud sister except Luan & Luna muttered, "Fair enough," before disappointedly walking to their rooms.

Meanwhile, Luna & Luan whisked Marcus away to their room, with Luna claiming, "You're gonna love what we have planned for you!"

Luan added, "Yeah, it's gonna be a real showstopper! Hahahaha, get it?"

When Luna, Luan, and Marcus arrived in Luna and Luan's bedroom, Luna quickly pulled out a seat for Marcus while Luan put the final touches on an impromptu performing area the brunettes had set up. After a couple of minutes, the opening vocals of the infamous "Numanuma" song began to blast through the room's speakers as Luna walked up to the stage. An impromptu spotlight shined on Luna as she started to played some heavy punk riffs while singing:

Marcus, you are, a shining star
In fancy clothes, and fancy cars
And you'll see, you've gone far
'Cause everyone knows, just who ya are
So live your life (hey, ayy, ayy, ayy)
You steady chasin' that paper, just live your life (Oh, ayy ayy ayy)
Ain't got no time for no haters, just live your life (Hey, ayy ayy ayy)
No tellin' where it'll take ya, just live your life

As the beat grew more bombastic, Luna let the instrumental play while introducing, "Ladies and gentlemen… put your hands together for the comedy stylings of… Luan! Loud!"

As Luan walked onto the stage, Marcus laughed while respectfully clapping for her. Marcus leaned back in his beanbag chair and smiled at Luan, making her blush as she took the microphone from Luna. Seeing Luan's nervous sweat, Luna assured Luan, "You've got this," as the instrumental to Tip & Christianna's "Live Your Life" faded into the background.

Luan beamed at Luna as she walked off the stage. Luan then opened, "Hello, Royal Woods! How's everybody doing today?"

Marcus jokingly heckled, "Oh, this audience of one? He's doing great!"

Luan laughed while quipping, "Well that's one-derful to hear! And speaking of audience, we've got a very special guest tonight! Please give a Loud House welcome to Super Bowl Champion Marcus Quick!"

Luna whooped and hollered loudly while Marcus stood up and pretended to wave at the brunettes before relaxing back into the beanbag chair.

Luan then started her first routine, "You know… it's great that you're a Super Bowl Champion. And it's crazy because when you think about it… none of these sports trophies are accurately named! They call it a 'Super Bowl'… but where's the bowl? Can you drink or eat out of that trophy? Man… we've got to get a redesign so next year, you guys can do just that! And because it's the 'Super Bowl,' it's got to be bigger than any other bowl we've seen in the world! Imagine this… next year, instead of that small trophy, just have the NFL drag out this giant bowl that you guys can dive in! That would be the real 'Super Bowl!'"

Marcus Quick laughed hysterically at Luan's opening routine, and would continue to do so throughout the night.

(Time Skip: 1 Hour Later)

When Luan finished her closing routine by joking, "Last but not least, be sure to always stay a-head of the Pack, Marcus! Goodnight!", Marcus cheered and gave a standing ovation to the her and Luna. Noticing this, Luna and Luan walked together on stage and bowed to Marcus, causing him to laugh once more.

Luna and Luan then turned on the lights, swarmed Marcus and asked, "So… did you like our show?"

Marcus praised, "Like? I LOVED it! You know, you two have a future in show business. I might mention you to my agent… see if I can get you girls some work."

When Marcus mentioned his agent, Luna & Luan immediately squealed, "We're gonna be famous!"

This caused Marcus to chuckle, "OK, now just give me your contact info, and I'll…"

Marcus didn't even have time to finish that sentence before Luna and Luan raced back to him holding business cards with their names, phone numbers, and social media information. Marcus laughed at Luna and Luan's enthusiasm before telling them, "Aight. Look, I gotta go hang out with Lori & Leni now."

Luna and Luan sulked before Luna informed Marcus, "OK. Their room is right across from ours."

Marcus thanked Luna before reassuring her and Luan, "Like I said, we'll stay in touch. Keep working hard. I'll see what I can do." Marcus then waved the two brunettes goodbye, and Luna and Luan responded in kind before Marcus closed the door.

Marcus then said to himself, "OK, Luna & Luan said Lori & Leni's room is across the hall. So just gotta walk straight, open this door, and…", before being completely astonished by what he saw on the other side of that door.

Closing A/N: For those who read all the way to the end of this chapter, thank you so much! I really appreciate all the feedback!

A/N 2: Spider 2Y Banana is a literal NFL meme because of how often former Raiders head coach Jon Gruden says it. It will be engraved on his tombstone. I wanted to put it here solely for the memes.

A/N 3: Some of the superstition stories Marcus Quick tells are actual NFL players' superstitions I remember reading about at one time or another.

A/N 4: Lori, Leni, & Luna emphasize their ages while introducing themselves to Marcus because 16 is the age of consent in Michigan.

A/N 5: The "80% of injuries go unreported" stat comes from a headline I found on the Internet that says "80% of concussions go unreported," as well as the fact that on an NFL Top 10 show I watched, a former player mentioned, "Everybody plays hurt," which may actually be true.

A/N 6: I got Lana's animals from both The Price of Admission & the Loud House wiki. I just listed all of the animals that had been introduced as of No Such Luck.

A/N 7: Yes, Guest6973, the part with Lynn Jr. doing the dances was an addition. I didn't know where to put it in my story, or how to incorporate it, especially since it was an amalgamation of my own ideas and a few suggestions another reader gave me, but I figured it out.

And now, for the best of the reviews! Shoutouts to ZeroBeat3030, frankbean1313, eyowtiqrup, LoudHouseFan88, & godricmansfield! I legitimately laughed when I read some of these reviews, and I appreciate the support!

Anyway, what do Lori & Leni have in store for Marcus? And what does Marcus have in store for the Louds? Find out next chapter on… REVERSAL! OF! FORTUNE!
