Episode 298: Braving the Koopa Castle
Over in Bowser's castle, Bowser Jr. was gloating over how he had sent Sora, Kairi, and the Mario Brothers away to the Princess of the Mushroom Kingdom.
"Just face it, Princess Peach! Mario and his goody-good friends are out of mine and pop's hair for good! There's nothing they can do to get out of there!" Bowser Jr. laughed.
"Mario, please hurry," Peach pleaded.
They finally made it to Bowser's castle. It was surrounded by moat of boiling lava.
"There's-a Bowser's castle," Mario said.
"It's exactly how I pictured it," Sora said.
"We'll have to sneak inside since Bowser and Bowser Jr. doesn't know we're back yet," Luigi said.
"Just how are we going to sneak in?" Timber asked.
"There should be a Warp Pipe we can use to get in," Mario said, searching around. "There!" He points to the pipe. Mario and Luigi go in first, followed by Sora, Pikachu, Kairi, Angel, Flash, Sorrel, Verity, Meowth, and Timber. They end up in the basement in the castle. The whole basement was dark and none of them could see.
"It's dark in here! Isn't there a light switch anywhere?" Meowth asked.
"How could you complain, Meowth? You're a nocturnal Pokémon," Sora said.
"It's-a right up-a there," Mario said, poiting to a block. "Luigi, you bash it, you're taller and you can jump higher than I can." Luigi tried to jump for it, but he couldn't reach it.
"Give me a boost, Mario," Luigi said.
"Sure thing," Mario said. He gave his brother a boost in the air and he turned the light on. He lands on Mario. "Watch-a the landing, Luigi."
"It was the lift off that's got me," Luigi said.
"Now, let's get going," Flash said.
Everyone agreed as they snuck through the castle. Along the way, they bumped into some Koopa Troopas and Goombas. Mario and Luigi jumped on two of Koopa Troopas and they go flying out of their shells, wearing nothing but their shoes and undershirts. Coming through the castle halls were bulky Koopas wearing football gear.
"Mama Mia! Chargin' Chucks!" Luigi exclaimed.
"Chargin' Chuck?" Sora asked.
"They're Koopas that dresses up like football players. They didn't get those names just for laughs," Luigi said.
"How about we plow right through them?" Kairi suggested.
"What an idea," Sora said, taking out his Premier Ball. "Silvally! Go!" Silvally came right out and ready to fight. One of the Chargin' Chucks splits up and they start charging at the group. "Silvally! Air Slash!" Silvally launches Air Slash and they split as they went flying. "Hike!" The group starts running. The hargin Chucks starts chasing them, throwing some footballs and baseballs at them. Up above are stone creatures with an angry face. Mario and Luigi sees them and tries to warn the couple.
"Sora, Kairi, be-a careful for-a Thwomps!" Mario warned.
"What are Thwomps?" Sora asked when one came down in front of him.
"That's a Thwomp," Mario said.
"What a close shave," Sora said.
"Thwomps are super sensitive to movement. When something gets close to them, they come down fast. The only way we'll get pass them unharmed when we have some super-good timing," Luigi said. "Or if we have some Super Stars with us."
"Didn't you use some when you dealt with Mouser?" Flash asked.
"We did, but that was when Pikachu used his electricity on the bombs. We would have been blown to kingdom come if we haven't used those," Meowth said.
"Now, the worry is having to come close enough without getting flattened like pancakes," Sorrel said. Kairi noticed some blocks up above the group.
"Do you think we can find a star if we bash some blocks?" Kairi asked.
"It's worth a shot, Kairi. Let's give it a try," Luigi said. He jumped up and a music box with came out. The box is white and has a music note on the side. "A Music Box! Maybe we can use this to put them to sleep!" Luigi said.
"How?" Flash asked.
"Watch," Luigi said, turning the handle on the Music Box. Music starts playing as black music notes starts coming from the box and they surround the Thwomps, making them yawn. The Thwomps all fell asleep. The group were astounded by how it worked.
"That was great, Luigi. How come the music from the Music Box didn't affect us?" Sora asked.
"The music notes only works on those the holder is targeting. We better get going because as soon as the music stops playing, they'll wake right up," Luigi said.
The group snuck pass the Thwomps while they were sleeping. They were so lucky that the music was doing the work. The music then stops playing and the Twhomps then wakes up. They saw the group go by them and comes slamming down.
"WHOA!" Sora yelped.
"Run for it!" Meowth yelled. The group ran as the Thwomps came slamming down. They dodged from their left to their right. The group got separated. Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, and Meowth ends up at one door as Mario and Luigi ends up at another door. Sorrel and Timber ends up at another, leaving Flash and Verity with another door.
"Where are the others?" Sora asked.
"We must have lost them when all those Thwomps woke up," Kairi guessed.
"I hope they went ahead of us because I don't wanna wait to find out what's coming next," Sora said.
"Took the words right out of my mouth," Meowth agreed. They entered the door and found themselves in a hall filled with statues of Bowser. Some of the statues had a red gem on the forehead.
"Man, I can bet the real one is just as ugly as these ones; and Wart was ugly," Sora commented.
"I just hope the real one isn't here now," Meowth said.
"At least nothing bad can happen in here," Kairi said. As soon as they couple and the Pokémon took the first step forward one of the statues fired a laser from the eyes as another one fires a fireball at them, making them jump forward. "Then again, I could be wrong."
"I just hope the others are having better luck than we are," Sora said.
Over to the Mario Brothers, they were face-tofaced with more Chargin' Chucks as they charged right at the two plumbers. Mario and Luigi jumped out of the way and jumped on their heads.
Over to Verity and Flash, they were moving forward through a hall filled with Koopa Troopa skeletons. They thought it was easy, but one of the skeletons then came to life. It taps on the one next to it. The other skeleton Koopa Troopa woke up as the first one pointed to Verity and Flash. The second one nodded and went down a Warp Pipe.
Bowser Jr. was racing around the throne room again in his kart when the skeleton Koopa Troopa entered from the Warp Pipe. A Goomba, a Koopa Troopa, and a Chargin' Chuck came in the throne room at the same time.
"Guys, what's up?" Bowser Jr. asked.
"Your young Koopaness, Mario, Luigi, and those kids along with their pets are in the castle!" The Goomba said.
"What?! But Kamek sent them to Subcon! There was no way they would get back!" Bowser Jr. exclaimed.
"They found a way back out," the Chargin' Chuck said.
"Also, they had some new friends with them," the Koopa Troopa added.
"I saw two of them wondering in our hall just a minute ago," the skeleton Koopa Troopa spoke.
"I don't know how they got back, but I'll have them sent in a black hole!" Bowser Jr. shouted. He looked at the skeleton Koopa Troopa. "You! Round up the other Dry Bones and get them! The rest of you, get the Mario Brothers and the others! I don't care what you do just as long as you nab them!"
"On it!" The Dry Bones said, heading back to the Warp Pipe. The Goomba, Koopa Troopa, and Chargin' Chuck went out the door.
Over to Sorrel and Timber, they're met with several fireballs joined together and they rotate around. Sorrel and Timber waited for the right moment to move as they jumped forward. They make a stop as they're now face-to-face with some lava.
"I wouldn't want to go canoeing in there," Timber said.
"You would have to be out of your mind to be canoeing in a volcano," Sorrel said. Just then, the head of an orange dinosaur-like creature sticks its out as roars at them. "You gotta be kidding."
"We gotta get across, somehow," Timber said.
"How?" Sorrel said. The dinosaur roars at them. They looked around before the dinosaur lunged at them. They jump on its head and get to the next platform. There, they were greeted by a snake-like creature whose body is made out of fire. It jumps right towards them and they dodge.
Over to Mario and Luigi, they were greeted by a barrage of black bullet-like projectiles being fired at them.
"I was hoping to never seeing those Bullet Bills again!" Luigi said.
"Me too, little brother. We just-a gotta get-a pass-a them," Mario said. "Jump and then, duck!" Mario jumped on one as Luigi did the same thing. The sibling plumbers ducked as more Bullet Bills were being fired at them. Mario and Luigi managed to make it pass them, but they were greeted by a group of iron balls with eyes and sharp teeth. "Chain Chomps!"
"We're okay just as long they don't reach for us," Luigi said.
"Better run for it!" Mario said.
The Mario Brothers ran pass the Chain Chomps as they tried to get a bite out of the plumbers. The Mario Brothers made it through them.
Over to Sora and Kairi, they kept going as the Bowser statues kept firing at them. They dodged from left to right. Just to make matters worse, a Koopa came swinging its arms around. This Koopa has a rounded snout with protruding teeth, padded feet and thick yellow limbs. This Koopa has a red shell and a ribbed belly separated from its carapace by bare scales. The Koopa heads right towards the couple.
"Another Koopa?" Sora exclaimed.
"That guy's swinging his arms around like an Elekid!" Meowth said. The Koopa jumps, making them scatter. Coming from behind one of the Bowser statues, is a Koopa that appears to be the female counterpart of the Koopa attacking them. She has red eyes and a tan-colored head, with blonde hair containing a small, orange fade; the hair is styled into a short ponytail and adorned with a pair of light green beads. Her skin is colored magenta, her foot pads are pink, and her arms. Her red shell is smoother and smaller with pastel red dots. She has a high cream snout, and her mouth has two prominent fangs. She takes out a boomerang with a bow tied at the opposite side and threw it. Meowth spots the boomerang coming at them.
"Duck!" Meowth yelped.
The couple ducks their heads out of the way before they could get hit. The two Koopas stand in front of them.
"Boom Boom and Pom Pom won't let you pass," a new voice spoke. Kamek appears before them.
"You again!" Sora exclaimed.
"I thought I was rid of you when I sent you to Subcon. I don't know how you got back, but I'll see to it that you don't come back ever again!" Kamek said.
"Try it," Sora taunted.
"I would, but I think I'll let these two deal with you. Boom Boom and Pom Pom! Crush them!" Kamek ordered. Boom Boom and Pom Pom engaged in battle as Pikachu and Angel has. The Pokémon couple began with a Quick Attack. Boom Boom and Pom Pom jumped out of the way as they came back at the Pokémon couple.
"Dodge!" Sora and Kairi called out. Pikachu and Angel dodges with their Quick Attack.
"Don't let them get away!" Kamek called out. Boom Boom and Pom Pom chases after them, but their speed made it impossible to get a lock on them.
Over to Verity and Flash, they several of the Dry Bones. They were freaked when the turtle skeletons came to life. Verity takes out her Pokéball and threw it.
"Piplup! Go!" Verity called out and Piplup comes on out. "Use Drill Peck!" Piplup spins around and lands a direct hit on one of the Dry Bones, making them scatter their bones. "Takes takes care of one!"
"Maybe not. Look!" Flash said. Verity gasped when the Dry Bones her Piplup had shattered was putting itself back together.
"You gotta be kidding! The keep taking a licking and then come back kicking?!" Verity exclaimed.
"That's right. You're both real boneheads if you think we go down that easily. No matter many times we go down, we get back back right up," one of the Dry Bones said.
"It's kinda like those old horror movies I watched when I was a kid. The zombies kept getting back up, no matter what happened," Flash said. The Dry Bones threw their bones at the duo and they duck out of the way.
"Piplup! Whirlpool!" Verity ordered. Piplup forms a huge whirlpool above its head and sends it right out at the skeleton turtles. They rushed on through pass the Dry Bones before they could regenerate, but they ran into a bunch of tricertaops-like creatures. The triceratops creatures fire their fireballs at the duo. The duo ducked out of the way. "Piplup! Bubble Beam!" Piplup fires Bubble Beam at the dinosaurs and pressed on forward. The dinosaurs roars and charged after them.
Back to Mario and Luigi, they successfully made it pass the Chain Chomps only to counter a duo of Koopas that have yellow skin, slightly protruded noses with snake-shaped nostrils, cream-colored belly plates, and white eyes with blue irises. They wore green shoes, matching their green shells and they also wore green and white helmets. They're armed with black hammers.
"Hammer Bros!" Mario and Luigi gasped.
"It's hammer time, plumbers!" One of the Hammer Bros. said.
"I'll take the pleasure of flattening these two mustached wimps!" The second Hammer Bro. said.
"Says you. This is the job for an executing expert; me!" The first Hammer Bro. said. Mario and Luigi nodded to each other as Luigi prepared to flip Mario over to them. Mario jumped and Luigi flipped his brother over to the Hammer Bros. and landed between them. The Hammer Bros. swung their hammers at the red clad plumber only to miss.
"That-a takes-a of those hammerheads," Mario said.
"Now, let's get moving before they wake up," Luigi said.
"Right, Luigi," Mario agreed.
The Mario Brothers raced to the door at the end of the hall and opened it. Verity and Flash busted through another door with fireballs coming from behind.
"Flash, Verity. What happened?" Luigi asked.
"Those guys happened?" Flash said, pointing to the tricertaops creatures behind them.
"Reznors!" Mario and Luigi exclaimed. They rushed to shut the door in front of them. The Reznors charged right at the foursome, but the plumbers successfully closes the door, before they could finally catch up with them.
"That was close," Luigi said.
"Any later, then you two would-a have ended up-a as Reznor food," Mario said.
"Good thing we bumped into you guys. Where are Sora, Kairi, Timber, and Sorrel?" Verity asked.
"Probably right behind us, still," Luigi said.
"I hope you're right, Luigi, because the fight against Wart and his army is nothing compared to this," Verity said.
"Wart was a contender, but Bowser and his armies are brutal. I just hope the others make it safe," Luigi said.
Back to Sorrel and Timber, they ducked out of the way of the fiery creature and ran fast for the door. They opened the door to meet up with Mario, Luigi, Verity, and Flash.
"Sorrel, Timber, you're safe," Verity said.
"Where are Sora and Kairi?" Sorrel asked.
"On their way, I hope," Verity said.
Over to Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, and Meowth, the battle with Boom Boom and Pom Pom continued on. Pom Pom has vanished and reappeared with two more Pom Poms with her.
"What the?! Now, we got more of them?" Sora asked.
"Yes and no. Pom Pom has split into three, but only one of them is real. Also, the three illusions can hurt you like they were real. Pom Pom, demonstrate for our guests," Kamek said. The Pom Poms each took out a large shuriken, but only one of them was pink and has a bow at one of the edges. They threw the shurikens, making Pikachu and Angel dodge them.
"It's kinda like when a Pokémon uses Double Team to build up evasion. Only one of them is the real deal. How to tell them apart?" Sora asked in his thoughts. The Pom Poms threw the shurikens at the Pokémon couple and they dodge again. Sora looked at the shurikens and noticed how one is different from the other two. He saw it was pink and has a bow on it, like the boomerang. Then it hits him. The saw the difference in the shuriken, so he figured out that the real one. Sora had to wait for the one with the pink shuriken to move. They shifted places as the Pom Poms took out the shurikens. The one with the pink ones was between the other two. Sora called out loud, "Pikachu! Thunderbolt!" Pikachu sends out a Thunderbolt and shocks the Pom Poms along with Boom Boom. The other two Pom Poms vanished. Kamek screamed in surprise and anger.
"AUGH! How could you do that, you brat?!" Kamek exclaimed.
"Well, it was kinda easy for me to figure that out, Kamek," Sora taunted. The leading Magikoopa was flabbergastered.
"What do you mean? Explain!" Kamek demanded.
"Gladly. I just noticed how one of those girl Koopas had one that was different from the otehr two, like with the boomerang, and I put two and two together. Just thought I attack the original and the other two disappears. It worked better than I thought," Sora said.
"Good thinking, Sora," Kairi praised her boyfriend.
"That's using your spiky head, Sora!" Meowth added.
"Pika, Pika, Pikachu!" Pikachu said.
"Eevee!" Angel said.
Kamek growled in anger, "You'll pay for your cleverness, your little delinquent!" Kamek said, stomping the ground, making a block of bricks fall from the ceiling. Kamek waves his magic wand to transform the block into a red dragon with a round snout, resembling Yoshi. The newly formed dragon roars at them. "Meet a relative of the Yoshi clan, but with a more aggressive personality, the dreaded Bahamutt. Bahamutt, destroy these children!" The Bahamutt flew in the air and breathes its fire at the couple. Sora takes out Charizard's Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Charizard!" Sora called out and Charizard had come out. "Charizard! Use Dragon Claw!" Charizard flies and swipes his claws while emitting a dragonish-energy from his claws. The Bahamutt comes back at Charizard as they fought on with ferocity.
"You call that a dragon? Please. Destroy that wannabe dragon now!" Kamek ordered.
"Charizard! Fire Fang!" Sora ordered. Charizard lands a series if burning bites on the Bahamutt. "Now, use Wing Attack!" Charizard flies right into the Bahamutt and it goes right up to the ceiling. Kamek was displeased by this turn of events. "You're next, Kamek!"
"I think not!" Kamek said, about to use his wand, but Angel dashes with Quick Attack and knocks the wand right out of his hands. "No, not my magic wand! Without it, I'm powerless!" Angel takes it right to Kairi. "Gimme back my wand, you brat!"
"Sure, how about I teach you a new magic trick, like how to disappear?" Kairi asked, waving the wand. "And for one night only: Bippidi Bobbidi Boo!" Kairi used the Magikoopa's wand and it takes him in a whirlwind. "Wow, it does work."
"Nice one, Kairi," Sora said, kissing her on the cheek. Kairi blushed. She drops the wand and they head for the door. The couple and the Pokémon met up with their friends at last.
"You're okay!" Mario said.
"The same for you, Mario," Sora said.
"Now, we should head for Bowser's throne room," Sorrel suggetsed.
"We know the way," Luigi said.
"This-a way!" Mario said.
The Mario Brothers led the group through the halls of the castle and they finally reached Bowser's throne room with Bowser Jr. waiting for them. He wasn't happy to see the couple, the Pokémon, the plumbers, and their friends in the throne room. Peach was happy to see Mario back.
"Mario!" Peach called out.
"Why did you have to ruin everything by coming back after I sent you in a world I was certain you would be trapped in?!" Bowser Jr. hissed.
"Your dad should be used to it by now," Sora said.
"Pika!" Pikachu said.
"Hey, I don't need to hear that from the likes of you and your stupid rat!" Bowser Jr. said.
"Don't talk to Sora and Pikachu like that!" Kairi said.
"Eevee!" Angel added.
"We're here, Jr., so you might as well get-a ready," Mario said.
"Oh, I'm more than ready, Mario! You, your brother, and your geeky friends are in big, big troubel!" Bowser Jr. said, taking out a large amber mushroom with red spots and beady eyes Bowser Jr. uses the mushroom on himself, making him grow into the size of a Steelix. Bowser Jr. laughed. "Come and get me, you little bugs!" Bowser Jr. comes at them, Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, and Meowth dodged his hands.
"You okay?" Sora asked.
"Fine," Kairi said.
"Ditto," Meowth said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"Any ideas?" Meowth asked. Sora looked at the scratch cat Pokémon with an idea.
"Okay, here's one. Meowth, you get to the princess's cage and undo the lock, because you're the only one who can," Sora said.
"You can count on me, Sora," Meowth said.
"We'll cover you," Kairi said.
Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel has spread out to distract Bowser Jr. While Meowth headed for the cage.
"Hey, Jr.! Down here!" Sora taunted and blew a raspberry his way.
"Come here!" Bowser Jr. yelled. He tried to grab them, but the were too fast for the Koopa Prince. "Hold still, you!" With Bowser Jr. distracted, Meowth made it to the cage.
"Shh, I'm going to get you out of here," Meowth whispered.
"Thank you," Peach said. Meowth used a single claw to unlock the lock on the cage. He did it pretty quick before Bowser Jr. noticed. Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, Mario, Luigi, Sorrel, and Verity tried to catch them, but they kept on moving.
"Hold still! I can't crush you if you keep moving around!" Bowser Jr. yelled. He noticed that the scratch cat Pokémon was missing. "Hey, where's the cat?" Mario and Luigi bashes his feet with their hammers. "Ow! That hurt!" He dove down to tackle them. Over to Meowth, he undoes the lock and the princess escapes from it. Bowser Jr. grabs Flash and Luigi in his claws. "Gotcha!"
"Flash!" Sora and Kairi said.
"Luigi!" Mario cried. "Put my brother down!"
"No! Not until you stop what you're doing now!" Bowser Jr. said. Meowth and Peach waved to Sora and Kairi, letting them know everything is okay. That gave Sora an idea. He turned to Kairi and she had to play along with him. "If you don't then, your friends here takes a bath in some hot lava!"
"Okay, okay, you win! Just put them down and we'll do whatever you say," Sora said. Bowser Jr. wasn't buying it that easily.
"It's some kind of trick, I just know it!" Bowser Jr. suspected.
"No trick, no scheme. Just us surrendering," Sora said.
"Sora, Kairi, what are you doing?" Sorrel asked. Mario was wondering the same thing until he saw Meowth and Peach hiding behind the throne Peach silently shushes him and he nodded.
"So, just say what you want, so just name it," Sora said.
"Anything?" Bowser Jr. asked.
"Anything," Sora said.
"Pika," Pikachu said.
"Okay, all of you go in the dungeon and lock yourselves in," Bowser Jr. said.
"Put them down first," Sora said. Bowser Jr. does exactly that.
"Move," Bowser Jr. told his hostages. Peach and Meoowth moved quickly, being careful not being seen by Bowser Jr. He shrinks back to normal, indicating tht the fight is over. The door closes behind them. Meowth and Peach catches up to the group.
"Your plan worked like a charm," Meowth said.
"Sure did. It won't be long until Bowser Jr. gets wise to us and comes after us," Luigi said.
"We better get a move on before he does," Sora said.
"But we didn't find Sparx yet," Kairi pointed out.
"Right," Sora said, rubbing the back of his head, remembering the promise he made to Spyro.
"I know where he is. He was placed in the basement somewhere," Peach said. "I know, because I heard some Koopas talking."
"That's where we got in," Sora said.
"And we can use that to get out," Mario said. The group ventured through the castle to reach the dragonfly in the castle's basement. They finally reached the basement and they searched for signs of the dragonfly. "Sparx, where are you?"
Pikachu and Angel looked around and their ears perked up. They heard a feint buzzing sound. The Pokémon couple followed the sound of the buzzing and saw the dragonfly in the orb.
"Pika, Pi!" Pikachu called for Sora. He heard his partner call out for him.
"What did you find, buddy?" Sora asked when he saw the dragonfly. "Wait, are you Sparx?" Sparx buzzed, asking him how he knows. "We're friends of Spyro. He was worried about you and we'll take you to him." Sparx was happy to hear that. Sora turns on his communicator. "Alia! We got them both!"
"Roger that!" Alia said. A dimensional rift opens up.
"Right this way, your highness!" Sora said.
"If you insist," Peach said. She went in, followed by Mario and Luigi. Flash and Timber went in followed by Sorrel and Verity. Pikachu uses Iron Tail to crack the orb open and Sparx gets out. Bowser Jr. busts through the door in an extremely foul mood.
"You tricked me! I saw the cage empty after you left! I'm going to stomp you into mush for that!" Bowser Jr. yelled. Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, and Sparx go through the rift and closes before Bowser Jr. could reach them. "You are in so much trouble when my pop hears about this!" The group made it back to Professor Oak's lab. Professor Oak was thrilled to see them back.
"We're home!" Meowth said.
"Good to see that you're safe," Professor Oak said.
"You too, professor," Sora said.
"You have been in there for a while, but your first mission was a success," Alia said. She noticed the extras with the group. "Um, who're they?"
"About that," Sora said. Sora did some explaining that they met them during their visit in Subcon after Kamek had sent them there. Sorrel and Verity came in through a dimensional rift when they were on their own journey as Flash and Timber were brought in through the same kind of rift in Canterlot City. Sora told them about how they saved Subcon from Wart and his 8-Bit army, also how they got Princess Peach back. "And that's about it."
"Sounds to me that you had quite an experience," Professor Oak said.
"Yeah. Now ,let's reunite some friends," Sora said. Sparx was happy to finally see Spyro. Speaking of which, Sparx flew up to Spyro when he was taking a nap. Spyro tried to bat him away.
"Don't bother me when I'm napping, Sparx," Spyro said, sleepily. He opened his eyes extremely wide when he realized it was Sparx right in front of him. "SPARX?! You're safe! I thought I would never see you again!" He looked over to Sora. The purple dragon walked up to Sora. "Thanks for bringing Sparx back to me, Sora."
"Not a problem, Spyro. That's what friends are for," Sora said. He and Spyro did a fist bump. Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, and Peach smiled at the sight of two friends together again.
Over to Bowser Jr. and Kamek, they stood before the other villains about the Princess Peach's escape.
"Sorry, pop. Mario and his friends tricked me and took her away," Bowser Jr. said.
"That kid is starting to get under my skin! He can't do that to my kid and get away with it!" Boswer snarled.
"The reason for your son's failure is because that he is just incompetent," the Sorceress stated. Kamek raised his wand at her.
"How dare you speak about Bowser's son like that!" Kamek said.
"What chance do you have against me?" The Sorceress asked.
"Enough!" Ganondorf said. "We mustn't turn on each other over one's mistake. The boy is proving to be a nuisance. And we must deal with this before it escalates."
"I think I can help you with that, Ganondorf. I know just the trio to deal with this matter. They'll have the job done before we know it," Dr. Eggman said.
"I hope they'll get the job done, Eggman," Risky said.
"Oh, they will. They told me to give them a ring if I needed anything," Dr. Eggman said. He pushes a few buttons.
Over in Mobius, three Mobians are riding in three cycles, hovering over the ground. One is a purple-and-white weasel with a long bent tail, a large blue nose, and blue eyes. He sports a rather large pointed tooth, visible even when his mouth is closed. He wore a brown fedora, a brown belt, brown gloves with metal plates, and brown and white boots. He has a gun on his right. With him is a yellow-furred humanoid Polar Bear. His muzzle is peach-as with many anthropomorphic animal characters-and he has a triangular patch of white fur on his chest and red eyes. He wore a red beanie that has holes that allow his ears to poke out, as well as a green scarf. Completing his outfit are a pair of brown gloves and a pair of brown-toed red boots. And finally is a green humanoid duck with blue eyes. His beak and legs are yellow; he wears a red ascot around his neck, white gloves and red-and-white shoes. The weasel is leading the trio and he recives a transmission. He presses a button his cycle.
"Fang the Sniper here," the weasel answered.
"Fang, it's me," Dr. Eggman spoke through the speaker.
"Dr. Eggman? What do you know? I thought you finally gave up on getting rid of Sonic," Fang said.
"Far from it, Fang. I'm in need of assistance from you Hooligans again. In fact, we can discuss from my office," Dr. Eggman said.
"You got it, doc. We're on our way," Fang said.
"Don't be late," Dr. Eggman said. He breaks contact. Fang turned to his cohorts.
"Bark, Bean, we got ourselves a job," Fang said.
"Woo-hoo! I was so antsy for some fun!" Bean said. Bark cracked his knuckles.
"Let's see what the good doc has to say, guys. Maybe it could be a break," Fang said. The Hooligans turned their cycles around and started to head for Dr. Eggman's base.
Back in Pallet Town, a series of introductions were going around as Peach was grateful to Sora and Kairi for helping her. The Mane Seven were surprised to see Flash and Timber in Pallet Town. Sorrel and Verity had a Pokémon journey to return to, so the couple wished them both luck in their journeys.
"Again, thank you for what you've done, Sora. I am ever-so grateful," Peach said.
"We were just happy to help, princess," Sora said.
"We could have you back in the Mushroom Kingdom, to let your subjects know you're safe," Kairi said.
"You're right, Kairi. Toadsworth would be worried if I don't let him know right away," Peach said.
"Don't worry, we'll have a word with Alia about the situation," Sora said.
"Thank you, Sora. I would like to invite you and your friends to dinner if that's okay with you, in your honor, of course," Peach said.
"Okay," Sora said.
"That sounds good to me," Kairi said.
"Pikachu!" Pikachu said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
Back in Peach's castle, Toadsworth had been worrying and worrying ever since Peach was kidnapped by the Koopalings, fearing that she was forced into marriage with Bowser. He paces back in forth so much, he has turned the floor into a hole in the ground.
"Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear," Toadsworth said. A dimensional rift opens, scaring the elderly Toad. "What in the Mushroom Kingdom?! What now?" Peach steps forward the rift. Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, Mario, and Luigi all stepped through as well. "Princess! Thank goodness! I have feared you were forced into marriage to Bowser when we didn't hear back from Sir Mario."
"I'm-a sorry, Toadsworth. Had an otherworldly experience," Mario said.
"All the same, I'm just happy to see that you're back," Toadsworth said. He notices Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, and Meowth with them. "Oh, and some new visitors?"
"They have helped rescue me from Bowser's castle," Peach said.
"Is that so? You have my thanks. I thank you greatly from the bottom of my heart," Toadsworth said.
"We're just happy to help," Sora said.
"Toadsworth, they'll be joining us for dinner. Would you go and ask the chef to prepare dinner right away?" Peach asked.
"Of course, I'll get started right away!" Toadsworth said. He rushed to the kitchen to get started.
"Thank you, Toadsworth," Peach said. She turned to the guests. "You are more than welcome to make yourselves at home while you're here."
"Thank you very much, your highness," Kairi said.
"You don't need to be formal with me, because we are friends here," Peach said.
"If you think so, Peach," Sora said.
As they got to dinner, Sora and Kairi shared some stories starting with how Sora and Kairi first met and started their travels together. Mario and Luigi pointed out that Sora and Kairi had gained a reputation in their own world, apart from winning such big tournaments such as the Pokémon Leagues in Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn and Kairi winning the Grand Festival.
"Sounds to me that you have been through so much adventure," Peach said.
"We sure have," Kairi said.
"And taking down Team Rocket was really something. I think I might have seen Bowser in Team Rocket HQ," Sora said.
"Why do you think that, Sora?" Kairi asked.
"I remember the statues back at Bowser's Castle and I remember seeing him with Giovanni and that one guy, Ganondorf, I think," Sora said. "I think Bowser is working with him."
"You know, Sora might be right. Bowser wasn't at the castle waiting for us, and that's pretty unusual, if you ask me," Luigi said.
"I agree. It wasn't like him at all," Mario said.
"I didn't want to say anything before, but I remember hearing the Koopalings speak about different dimensions when I was held prisoner. I knew Bowser was up to no-good as usual. But I didn't think he was capable of doing anything like this," Peach said. "Also, if Bowser is working with this Ganondorf, then other worlds are in danger as well. And we should work together to put a stop to it. So, I'll be joining you back in your world." Toadsworth was shocked to hear it.
"What? You're not thinking of leaving your kingdom, are you?" Toadsworth asked.
"We don't know how widespread it has gotten, and I the Koopas won't think of coming after if they don't know where I am," Peach said.
"I understand, but I must respectfully protest, because you are needed here in the castle. Our people will need their princess," Toadsworth said.
"I understand your concern, Toadsworth, but I have made up my mind. Besides, Mario and Luigi will be there with me," Peach said. Toadsworth sighed, knowing he couldn't change her mind.
"Very well. But I will be sending Toad and Toadette with you just to be safe," Toadsworth said.
"I suppose. And thank you for understanding, Toadsworth," Peach said.
After the meal had concluded, Peach has joined Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, and the Mario Brothers back in Pallet Town along with a Toad with a blue vest and he has red dots on his mushroom cap. With him is a female Toad wearing a pink dress-shirt with a thin white line near the bottom. Layered on top of the dress is a bright red vest with a light gold trim. Underneath, she wore white pants and brown, padded shoes.
"You sure you wanna leave your kingdom just to help us, Peach? Toadsworth might be right about it being a bad idea," Sora said.
"Toadsworth will do fine. I know he can be a real worry wart, but the kingdom is in good hands. Besides, it won't be long before they try to capture me again," Peach said.
"She's right, Sora, because we would never know how long that'll take," Kairi said. Sora sighed.
"Okay, you're right," Sora said.
So, Princess Peach has joined the alliance of heroes to thwart the Brotherhood of Darkness. How long will it take for them to strike? Just wait and see.
