Episode 303: The Hyrulemen!

In the land of Hyrule, Drampa is sleeping soundly in the forest there. Several woodland animals gathered some fruit to the placid Pokémon. Drampa woke up and accepted the food kindly offered to it. Watching Drampa were a gang of bandits, hiding in the trees.

"What is that? I never seen a dragon like that before," one of the bandts said.

"Not sure. Better go back to robbing from nobles. The dragon means nothing to us," another bandit said. The rest of the bandits agreed and went off to rob from some nobles.

Back in Pallet Town, Sora and Kairi were relaxing from their adventure in Donkey Kong Island as Sora and Kairi had their feet in some hot water.

"Feels like I got frostbite here," Sora said.

"Me too. It's a powerful relief that we solved that problem before it got worse," Kairi said.

"At least we didn't catch a cold out there," Sora said.

"That wouldn't be any fun," Kairi said.

"Anyway, we are Banjo and Kazooie? I haven't seen them since we got back," Sora said.

"Donkey Kong is showing them the place they're all staying at. That old mansion almost outside of town," Kairi said.

Speaking of which, the Kongs showed their inter new dimesional friends the mansion they're staying in. Roll did some sprucing up around the place, making it pretty roomy.

"Nice digs," Kazooie said.

"You all live here?" Banjo said.

"For now. Sora, Kairi, and their families pulled some strings with the mayor and he agreed to it. It looks big enough for all of us," Donkey Kong said.

"Did some rich guy used to live here or something?" Kazooie asked.

"Professor Oak said it belonged to some rich guy until he went broke and sold the place. They were gonna tear it down, but the mayor decided against it," Diddy said.

"But we do hang out at Professor Oak's lab when we need to step out," Dixie said.

"So, they said we can stay here. Ash and Brock are staying at Sora and his mom while May and Max are staying at Kairi and her family," Donkey Kong said.

"So, how we get some downtime?" Kazooie asked.

"You can find out when you meet the others," Donkey Kong said.

With such perfect timing, Roll is sweeping the floor with much frustration.

"Honestly, why can't Pit ever wipe his feet before coming in? For an angel, he acts like he was raised in a barn!" Roll said in frustration.

"We're back," Diddy announced.

"Hey, everyone. Good to see you made it back," Roll said, looking at the bear and bird. "Who are they?"

"Roll, meet Banjo and Kazooie. Banjo, Kazooie, this is Roll," Dixie introduced.

"Nice to meet you, Roll," Banjo said.

"Likewise. Anyway, where's Dingodile?" Roll asked.

"He's at Professor Oak's lab, taking a nap," Chunky said.

"That mission you were on did a number on him," Roll said.

"What about everyone else?" Diddy asked.

"Sunset Shimmer and the other Rainbooms are in the backyard practicing their instruments. They were invited to do a show later. Zero and Iris are checking out that movie Sora, Kairi, Riku, and Naminé went to. And Sonic ran over to Porta Vista, said he was in a mood for a chilli dog. Everyone else are all here," Roll explained.

"So, we can introduce them to most of the others here," Tiny said.

The Kongs entered the mansion to introduce the duo to the rest.

Over in Porta Vista, Danny began selling hot dogs in his restaurant and added chilli to go along with them. Chilli burgers, and chilli dogs were selling like crazy. Sonic was especially happy to have some chilli dogs whenever he ran over.

"Gotta hand it to you, Sonic, adding chilli to the restaurant was a great idea," Danny said.

"These are the best I have ever tasted," Sonic said.

"You sure love those chilli dogs. You sure you won't be interested in a burger sometime? It's good," Danny offered.

"Thanks, but no. These are enough for me, Danny," Sonic said.

"Whatever makes your boat float, Sonic. And be sure to come by again if you like," Danny said. Once Sonic was done, he ran out the door pretty fast.

Over in the Mushroom Kingdom, the Cooper Gang did some exploring around the strange new world. They stopped to take a break. Bentley has been keeping an eye open for any signs of a dimensional rift since they arrived in the Mushroom Kingdom, but so far, there was none.

"This place is so much different from the world we all know," Murray said. "No traffic, no pollution, not even a big city."

"Doesn't mean there's no crime," Sly said.

"Agreed. Just because it looks peaceful doesn't mean it's crime-free. We got to keep our eyes open for anything suspicious around here," Bentley said.

"And maybe for a hamburger stand or maybe a pizza parlor. Just about anything sounds pretty good right about now," Bentley said with his stomach growling. He shushes his stomach. "Patience, my pet."

"Excuse me," a new voice called out. This surprised the trio.

"Your excused, stomach," Murray said.

"Murray, I don't think that was your stomach," Sly said.

"Up here!" The voice said. The trio looked up to see a Lakitu up above. "Couldn't help but overhear that you might be hungry, my big pink friend."

"Yeah, I'm starving so much!" Murray said.

"Well, I have a little something that will surely tickle your fancy, Mr. Hippo," the Lakitu said, giving the pink hippopotamus a picnic basket. "Have a peek inside, if you want." Murray opened the basket and saw all sorts of food inside, from sandwiches to cupcakes.

"Be still, my heart!" Murray said.

"Thanks for the basket, but who and what are you?" Sly asked.

"I happen to be a Lakitu. I was just passing by and I heard you three talking. And I couldn't stand seeing a hungry animal, so I thought I'd share with you," the Lakitu said.

"You mind telling us where we are? We're kinda lost here," Bentley said.

"The Mushroom Kingdom of course. It's a peaceful place to live if you don't count all the times Bowser tries to take over," the Lakitu said.

"Who's Bowser?" Bentley asked.

"Only the evil king of the Koopas. He's been such a pain for us peaceful folk around here. There are some other Lakitu who actually work for him; but not me. So, I stay away from him every chance I get. And I suggest you do the same," the Lakitu said.

"So, it's an evil king trying to take over. Thanks for the heads-up," Sly said.

"No prob. Also," the Lakitu said, giving the Cooper Gang some more picnic baskets. "Have some more."

"Why are you handing out some food to us? What's the catch?" Sly asked.

"No catch. Just sharing with many I come across. Now, if you excuse me, I got more hand-outs to make for the hungry," the Lakitu said, floating off.

"Bentley, have you ever seen anything just float in a cloud before?" Sly asked.

"Not any I know of, Sly. I'm just glad to know where we are now," Bentley said.

"Wonder why it's called the Mushroom Kingdom, since it doesn't look so mushroomy," Sly said.

"Maybe not, but the food here is great," Murray said.

"Now we got a dimensional door to find and get back home," Sly said.

"On it, Sly," Bentley said. Bentley got to work on finding a way back to their world. Speaking of which, Carmelita was looking into the disappearances.

"Even Cooper isn't capable of this kind of stunt. He may be a thief, but he's no kidnapper. And he's no murderer either. But I know he swiped that crystal and everything. Just how deep is this?" Carmelita asked. She stroked her chin. "And who was that crab from last night?"

Back in Hyrule, a carriage is riding through the land. The carriage is carrying three pendants, one being blue, one being red, and one being green. The bandits waited for the right opportunity to strike. The leading bandit gave gestures to strike. Half of the gang moved to the other side and followed the carriage closely. The bandits all jumped out of hiding and aimed their arrows at the guards.

"Don't move!" One of the bandits commanded.

"What do you want?" One of the guards asked.

"Whatever is on that carriage, that's what," the leading bandit said.

"You will not have it!" The captain said, drawing his sword. "Do your worst!"

"You heard him, boys! Let's do our worst!" The leading bandit said, blowing a whistle. A large Dodongo comes charging through and knocks the carriage over. The guards tried to fight back, but the Dodongo was too strong for them. The bandits gets to the carriage and takes hold of the three pendants.

"Let's go!" The leading bandit commanded. The bandits run off into the forest with the Dodongo. The guards were discouraged about how they failed.

Back in Pallet Town, Zelda had been informed of the theft of the three pendants. She knew in the wrong hands, it meant disaster. She is communicating with the captain through a mirror that should allow her to stay connected in Hyrule.

"I am certain you have done your best, captain," Zelda said.

"We have. The Dodongo suddenly appearing has taken my men by surprise. We are in desperate need of your help, your highness," the captain said.

"I shall send Link and Linkle over to you and some others with them. Regrettably, I cannot come and risk Ganondorf's alert," Zelda said.

"I saddened to hear you won't join us, princess, but I am relieved to hear the help coming our way," the captain said.

"I shall send them to you tomorrow. Until then, captain," Zelda said. The mirror's magic deactivates and she looked over to Impa. "Impa, go and find Link and Linkle. They must know this."

"As you wish, princess," Impa bowed her head. She sets out to find Link and Linkle. Agent 9 was listening on the conversation and he was anxious to scratch the itch he was having lately.

Meanwhile in a village known as Sandover Village, a young man is doing some training. He has a lean, muscular, yet athletic build, as well as yellow-green hair and cerulean blue eyes. He has long and pointy ears. He wore basic a pattern of blue tunic and off-white trousers. He has a metal plate on his left shoulder. he has a steel ring in the center of his chest held up by three leather straps. He also wore goggles and a bandanna wrapped around his neck. Laying around is a two-foot-ten-inch-tall rodent with orange fur and a yellow underbelly. The young man was smacking some dummies when he heard a girl's voice.

"Jak!" A girl shouted, waking up the orange rodent.

"WHOA!" The rodent yelped.

The voice belonged to a girl with the same pointy ears, but also fair skin, blue and green hair, and green eyes. She wore a sleeveless whiteish-lavender midriff singlet with thick red trim; purple and pink 3/4 cargo pants; and bandage-like straps around her arms and legs. She also wore a pair of short boots, a purple choker around her neck, as well as blue goggles. Jak smiled when he saw her.

"Keira, hey. Came looking for me?" Jak asked.

"Always," Keira said. "Where's Daxter?" Keira asked.

"Right here," the orange rodent said. "I was working my tail off from all that training!" Jak and Keira weren't buying it.

"Uh-huh, sure you were, Daxter," Jak said. "Anyway, what's up?"

"Samus called. She says she needs to meet up with us now," Keira said.

"Must be about them again," Jak said. "Let's hear what she and Blaze has to say." A dimesional rift opens and the trio enters through. As they entered in an undisclosed location, Samus without her armor stands there, waiting for them. Blaze is there as well. With them are the Bomberman Brothers. Joining in are two individuals; one being a feline, humanoid alien with yellow fur, two large pointy ears with brown stripes, large hands, flat, triangular clawed feet and large green eyes. His attire consists of pants, gloves, a chest harness and a belt, and a short-sleeved shirt with boots. With him is a diminutive robot with grey metallic skin made of titanium alloy, large green circular eyes, a red antenna, and small articulated arms and legs with large three-fingered hands and feet. The robot contains what appears to be an air vent on his chest. Coming in is a knight. He is wearing blue armor with shoulder pads, a plate, and a horned helmet. He has a round body and a short stature. He is carrying a shovel. Blaze spoke up.

"Shovel Knight, Bomberman Brothers, Ratchet, Clank, Jak, Daxter, Keira, Samus. Good of you to come," Blaze said.

"What is this about, Blaze?" White asked.

"What we were fearing the most has happened. The Brotherhood of Darkness is expanding its membership," Blaze said.

"The fiends! Is there no end to their villainy?" Shovel Knight questioned, clenching his shovel.

"I wish that very much, Shovel Knight," Blaze said. "The war rages on until we put an end to them once and for all," Blaze said.

"Any clues on how to put the kibosh on their plans?" Black asked.

"Go around and find some help throughout the worlds. There should be others who don't want them to rule all of existence like we don't," Blaze said.

"A superb plan, Blaze," Clank said.

"The question is, how would we get them to agree with us? They might suspect us of trying to trick them," Keira said.

"You're right to point that out. They might be easily persuaded, but we might have to prove ourselves if necessary," Blaze said.

The others all agreed nd all went through seperate rifts to recruit some additional help.

On the very next day in Pallet Town, Sora and Kairi were being informed about the thefts of the pendants and how Zelda feared it was Ganondorf's doing.

"You think someone would just take the pendants just like that?" Sora asked.

"I'm afraid so. It might be a wizard of great malevolence who would use the pendants for his own personal gain, or Ganondorf's forces as I fear. I am sending you into Hyrule to track down the missing pendants and bring them back to the palace for protection," Zelda said.

"Why are they so important, Zelda?" Kaiir asked.

"The pendants represents a piece of the Triforce. The green pendant represents the Triforce of Courage, the blue pendant represents the Triforce of Wisdom, and the red pendant represents the Triforce of Power. Whoever is behind this, you can help foil the attempt by retrieving the three pendants," Zelda said.

"You can count on us, Zelda," Sora said.

"I know I can, Sora. And while you are there, you mustn't mention that I am no longer in Hyrule, becuase the people will only worry of they learn I am no longer in my kingdom, and Ganondorf's forces will take advantage of their worries and launch their attack," Zelda said.

"Right," Sora said. Sora and Kairi got ready for their next mission in Hyrule. Sora and Kairi filled Pikachu, Angel, and Meowth on the mission, so they were on board. Sora and Kairi were bringing Nidoking, Nidoqueen, the Galarian Farfetch'd, Solrock, Lunatone, both Ponyta, Altaria, Furret and Bewear with them. Link and Linkle had gotten ready as Agent 9 steps in.

"Agent 9, reporting for duty!" Agent 9 reported.

"Agent 9, why are you tagging along?" Sora asked.

"It's just, it's been since the fight with Team Rocket that I've been in action, so I need to get out and stretch my legs and zap some bad guys! So please, take me with you! Please, please, please, please, please!" Agent 9 pleaded.

"If it would get you to calm down, then yes, you can tag along, but you gotta control yourself while we're there, okay?" Sora asked.

"I'll be on my best behavior, Sora! Scouts honor!" Agent 9 saluted.

"Okay. Just keep your killer instinct under control," Sora said. Link looked right at him.

"Are you sure it was a good idea to bring him along? Agent 9 isn't exactly all that behaved," Link said.

"I know, it was the only way to get him to stop begging. He was going to keep going until I agreed," Sora said. Alia activated the dimesnional rift and Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, Link, Linkle, and Agent 9 went through and entered Hyrule's capital. "So, this is Hyrule. Everything looks so peaceful here."

"Don't let your guard down, Sora, because there could be bad guys lurking around here," Agent 9 said.

"Agent 9, you're not forgetting already, are you?" Kairi asked.

"No, just saying," Agent 9 said.

"But he is right, Kairi. Ganondorf's forces could be closer than we think. We should head for the castle and meet with the captain," Linkle said.

"Linkle's right. He should be waiting for us to show up," Link said. Link and Linkle led their friends through the capital to reach the castle. As they walked down the capital, Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, and Agent 9 were enduring some looks at them, mostly because of their clothing, Sora's hair, and the Pokémon and monkey with them. Some of the local girls were eyeing Sora and found him either cute or handsome, as the local boys had their eyes on Kairi because of her beauty.

"I knew were going to stick out like a sore thumb," Meowth groaned. He heard a meow not too far from him and he turned to see a female cat looking right at him. She winked right at him, making Meowth blush a bit.

"Looks like the ladies will go gaga for you too, Catsanova," Agent 9 said. "Meow."

"Hey, cut it out! Besides, I can tell you're losing control already," Meowth said.

"How so, kitty litter?" Agent 9 asked.

"You're sweating more than a fat guy in a sauna," Meowth said. And Meowth was right, Agent 9 is sweating like crazy.

"Can you blame me? It's been a while and my trigger is itching like crazy! And if I don't get some action soon, I'm going to lose it!" Agent 9 said.

"Give that itchy finger a rest. Once we see someone with those pendants, you can give that trigger all the scratching it wants!" Agent 9 said.

They arrived at the castle with two guards standing outside. They allowed Link and Linkle to enter, but barred by their spears. The hero of Hyrule turned to the guards.

"They're with us," Link said. The guards allowed the visitors to enter through. As they entered through, the castle grounds. The couple, the Pokémon, and the monkey were amazed by how beautiful the castle looked. Link and Linkle led them to the captain of the guards. He removed his helmet to reveal his blonde hair and beard.

"Good to see you have returned, Link and Linkle. And these must the ones whom the princess spoke of," the captain said.

"Yes, this is Sora and Kairi from the world we are currently staying in. And these three creatures are the inhabitants of that world as well," Link explained.

"The monkey has just come along for the ride," Linkle added.

"I openly welcome any help possible because I wouldn't request for your help if it wasn't urgent," the captain said. "Forgive the delayed introduction. I am Russell, Captain of the Hyrule royal guards. I must admit, when the princess has sent you, I was expecting someone a little older, but it wouldn't be the first time that a child would come along and help in Hyrule's hour of need."

"Not a problem, captain. Zelda, I mean, Princess Zelda has filled us in about the pendants," Sora said.

"And we'll do what we can to help out and promise we won't be in the way," Kairi said.

"Pikachu," Pikachu said.

"Eevee," Angel said.

"What they said. Right, Agent 9?" Meowth nudged the monkey.

"R-Right," Agent 9 said.

"What is your plan of attack to finding the ones responsible for the thefts?" Link asked.

"I have already set the perfect plan into motion. We simply have you all ride inside a carriage disguised as Hylian nobles and riding inside. The bandits will not resist an opportunity to rob you. Once they have taken the bait, we spring into action and catch them in the act. When they confess the whereabouts of the pendants, we shall have them back," Captain Russell said.

"Sounds perfect," Linkle said.

"We must act now if we want to capture them. We shall begin at once," Link stated.

"Agreed," Captain Russell stated.

"Quick question, we won't have to balance books on our heads, do we?" Sora asked.

"We don't have time for that anyway. But you would have to dress up like nobles," Linkle said. Sora and Kairi were dressed up like they were Hylian young nobles. Sora saw Kairi wear one of Zelda's old dresses and it was a perfect fit for her. Sora was stunned to see her in a beautiful dress. Kairi blushed when she saw her boyfriend in a suit.

"How do I look, Sora?" Kairi asked.

"You look beautiful. You look even more like a real princess than the time we stared in that play," Sora said. Kairi blushed.

"Thank you, Sora. And you look very handsome in that suit," Kairi said. Sora blushed at Kairi's compliment.

"Come here, you," Sora said, moving in for a kiss. He gave her a kiss on the lips and she did the same thing. They parted lips when Linkle came in to check on them. She was dressed up as a noblewoman.

"Sora, Kairi, are you ready?" Linkle asked.

"Ready as we'll ever be," Sora said.

"Let's get the show on the road," Kairi said. The couple joined up with Link and the rest to get started. The carriage was big enough for four people, so it was perfect. Link was dressed up as a nobleman. They entered the carriage and rode off to catch the bandits.

Meanwhile in the forest, a dimensional rift opens up and two more characters fell out of the rift. They appeared to be rubber hose cartoon characters. The duo look very identical, but there was a difference between them. One has a teacup for a head with a red striped straw in his head and it is bent. He is wearing red shorts and has a small red nose. The other one is wearing blue shorts and has a large blue nose. He has a straw with a blue stripe, but it's shorter. They both have the same yellow cartoonish gloves and brown shoes.

"W-Where are we, Cuphead?" The mug-headed character asked in a worried tone.

"I dunno, but at least it was fun!" Cuphead said. "I mean, I was a real rut. Ever since we we defeated both King Dice and the Devil, things have been pretty stale since we didn't have much to go on. It was the same thing back on Inkwell Isle. I mean, come on, Mugman, didn't you once think there was more than the life we always knew?"

"No, because that was enough for me," Mugman said.

"Oh, don't be such a stick in the mud. Where's your sense of adventure?" Cuphead asked.

"At home and that reminds me, because we should be heading there right now," Mugman said.

"Oh, come on, Mugman, let's do some exploring! Let's go, let's go, let's go!" Cuphead urged Mugman. Mugman groaned with dread.

"Why wasn't I an only child?" Mugman asked in his thoughts. The two brothers ran through the woods witnessing how different it was back from their homes. The animals didn't talk or anything. They rushed though the woods only to be watched by Drampa. The placid Pokémon headed their way. Mugman looked right behind him and his pupils shrinks. "C--C-C-C-C-C-C-C-C-C-C-C-C-C-C-Cuphead," Mugman said, tapping in his shoulder.

"Don't bother me right now, Mugman," Cuphead said. Mugman points to the large dragon-like creature in front of him. He stammered when he saw Drampa as well. Drampa made its sound to it and scares them sensless.

"MONSTER!" Cuphead and Mugman yelled running. The brothers ran out of the woods and pass the bandits camp. One of the bandits looked around and saw nothing.

The bandits were marvelling their latest heist, the Pendants of the Triforce. The Dodongo is eating the pile of meat given to it.

"Whatever these are, they're wonderful," one of the bandits said.

"Why do you think they were heavily guarded? I just can't wait for our next job," another bandit said.

"Yeah, just gotta wait fo that scout to get back," the first bandit said.

Elsewhere, a scout is searching the landscape for an easy target. He spotted a carriage containing Sora, Kairi, Link, and Linkle were ridin casually. And no guards were in sight. Meowth and Agent 9 were driving as Pikachu and Angel were waiting underneath. The scout grinned as he went back to make his report.

"You think they might have seen us by now?" Kairi asked.

"They should. If they are who we think they are, they'll be sorry that they stole it for Ganondorf," Link said. The horse made a sudden stop as whinnies are heard from outside.

"Whoa!" Meowth said, pulling the reins. Sora and Link stick their heads out to see the two characters.

"Um, Link, you wouldn't have anything like them here, do you?" Sora asked.

"No," Link answered.

"Thought not," Sora said. "But they do look like they've seen a ghost." Cuphead and Mugman ran to the carriage.

"Please, help us!" Mugman pleaded.

"We saw a monster in there! A big ugly scary mean-looking monster!" Cuphead exclaimed.

"A monster?" Sora asked.

"It must be the bandits. They did tame a Dodongo, so it makes sense that they saw it," Link said.

"Where did you see this monster?" Sora asked.

"In the woods, just down this way," Mugman said.

"Guys, why don't you come in the back and hide there?" Sora suggested.

"Thanks, you're a life saver!" Cuphead said, jumping in the back. Mugman followed in after. Pikachu and Angel tilted their heads when they saw Cuphead and Mugman.

"Pika?" Pikachu asked.

"Eevee?" Angel asked.

"Shh, quiet, you'll give us away," Cuphead said.

"Yeah, for the monster," Mugman added.

"Don't be scared, guys," Sora said, from underneath. We'll keep you safe, no matter what."

You think it was a good idea, bringing them along?" Linkle asked.

'They don't look like bandits, also we could ask them where they're from later," Sora said.

"Right, because we got some bandits to catch," Link said. The guards behind them followed secretly, not wanting to risk being seen.

Back over to the bandit camp in the forest, the scout raced back to the hut. The leading scout as eating a large drumstick when he entered.

"Boss, I saw something that will definitely tickle your fancy. A fancy nobles carriage is making its way right over to us!" The scout said. The leading bandit stood up and tossed the drumstick.

"Then, let's get to it! Get the Dodongo ready!" The leading bandit ordered. The bandits did exactly that as they got their secret weapon ready for their heist. The carriage rode off as the bandits were ahead of them and setting their own trap. They were aware that they were walking into a trap themselves. "Is everything all set?"

"Set!" The rest of the bandits said.

"Then, let's relieve the nobles of their valuables," the leading bandit said. The bandits waited for their chance to strike. Once the carriage was close enough, the bandits sprung into action.

"And right on cue," Sora said.

"R-R-Right on cue?" Cuphead asked. The bandits forcefully opened the doors and pointed their arrows at the foursome.

"If you four would kindly relive yourselves of your valuables, things will go down much smoother," the leading bandit said. Agent 9 took out out his laser gun fired at the bandits.

"WOOO-HA! Time to blast some bad guys!" Agent 9 exclaimed excitedly. He cackled like a mad man when he shot at some more bandits.

"What in the world is going on?" The leading bandit asked. Link gave him a kick in the chest and drew out his sword and ditched the disguise.

"You walked right into our hands," Link said, pointing his sword at the bandit. He instantly recognized him.

"You! You're Link, the hero of Hyrule! So, you pretended to be nobles in order to capture me, huh? I wasn't expecting you to show up now. But I expect you to be my Dodongo's meal," the leading bandit said, taking out a whistle and blew on it. The sound of the whistle calls out the Dodongo. It charged right at the group. Cuphead and Mugman stuck their heads out and they screamed at the sight of it.

"Another monster!" Cuphead exclaimed .

"Don't let it eat us!" Mugman pleaded.

"Pikachu!" Sora said.

"Go, Angel!" Kairi said.

Both Pikachu and Angel jumped out as Sora and Kairi both took off their disguises and took out their Pokéballs and threw them.

"Nidoking, Nidoqueen, Farfetch'd, Solrock, and Lunatone!" Sora called out.

"Ponyta, Altaria, Furret, and Bewear! Go!" Kairi called out.

The couple had let out their chosen Pokémon as they prepared to fight the Dodongo.

"Keep the Dodongo busy while I get some bombs ready," Link instructed.

"Right, we'll do that," Sora said. The Pokémon started to fight the Dodongo as it plowed right through them. "Hey, over here you oversized gecko!" The Dodongo jumped right to Sora and he dodges it. Cuphead and Mugman were literally shaking with fear as the monster continued its assault. Nidoking and Nidoqueen delivered a combined Drill Run as the Galarian Farfetch'd gave the monster a smack with his giant leek. Altaria attacked with Dragon Rush as Solrock and Lunatone fired Flamethrower and Ice Beam. Both Ponyta combined Ember and Psybeam and struck the Dodongo. Furret uses her speed along with Pikachu and Angel. They gave the creature an Iron Tail on the head as Bewear flipped the dinosaurian creature a flip. The Galarian Farfetch'd kept attacking the Dodongo with his giant leek. The hits gotten pretty critical with each blow, so the Galarian Farfetch'd started to evolve. The Galarian Farfetch'd was now a Sirfetch'd. Link and Linkle threw their bombs right inside the Dodongo's mouth just when it was about to strike. The bombs explodes on the inside. Link drew his sword and jumped to deliever the final blow. Link stabbed the Dodongo in the head and roared in pain and agony as the blade pierced the Dodongo's skull. The Dodongo tried to get Link and the sword off, but the creature was losing consciousness fast and drew its last breath. Link pulled his sword from the Dodongo's head.

"There, it is done," Link said.

"No! My secret weapon!" The leading bandit exclaimed.

"It's now dead," Link said.

"You will pay for this! Mark my words, I'll get you back for this!" The leading bandit threatened.

"You will not get that chance, I'm afraid," Captain Russell said, finally catching up with a squadron of guards. "These are the bandits who stole the Pendants of the Triforce, there's no doubt about it."

"So, that's what they were. Well, they were even more valuable than I thought," the leading bandit said.

"Where are the pendants?" Link asked.

"At our hideout, but good luck finding it, because the woods are huge," the leading bandit said.

"You guys don't work for Ganondorf, do you?" Sora asked.

"Of course not. Who would want to pull jobs for him. Even the pay wouldn't be that good. Anything he has his grubby hands in is considered to be suicide," the leading bandit said.

"So, if they're not with Ganondorf," Sora said.

"Then, they're serving themselves. That's what type of people they are. Also, let's search the woods," Link said.

"It could take weeks to look in there," Linkle said.

"I'm willing to risk it, Linkle," Link said.

"We should search too, since we can have better luck searching together," Sora said.

"He's right, Link. They can help out in the search," Linkle said.

"Okay, stay close. It's very easy to get lost if you don't know the way around," Link said. Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, and Agent 9 started to head inside as Cuphead and Mugman gasped.

"Wait, don't go in there!" Mugman yelped.

"Why not?" Kairi asked.

"Because there's a monster inside the woods," Cuphead said.

"We know and I killed it," Link said.

"That wasn't the monster we saw. It was big and scary," Cuphead said. He clinged onto Sora's leg.

"I don't think I can walk with you attached to my leg, dude," Sora said. Mugman did the same thing.

"If you feel scared you can ride on them," Kairi said, calling to both of her Ponyta. They cantered their way to their trainer and they got in. Cuphead was worried about getting burned up, but he wasn't feeling hot at all.

"Nice horsey," Cuphead said.

"Very nice horsey," Mugman said.

"Let's go," Sora said.

Sora and Kairi called back the other Pokémon as Cuphead and Mugman could ride on the two Ponyta. They ventured through the woods as several animals all scattered in their presence. As they walked on, they heard something they had not expected to hear.

"What's that?" Linkle asked.

"It sounds like that monster, I'm sure of it!" Mugman said.

"It sounds close and pretty hungry!" Cuphead said. Link readied his sword as Linkle readied her crossbow. Agent 9 was getting ready to open fire when Drampa poked its head from the trees. They were about to attack when Sora and Kairi stepped in.

"Wait, don't!" Sora said when he and Kairi stood in front of them.

"Get out of the way, you two!" Link said.

"No, because it's not a dangerous creature, it's a Pokémon called a Drampa!" Sora said. Cuphead and Mugman were both dumbfounded by what they said.

"What's a Pokeyham?" Cuphead asked. Mugman shrugged his shoulders.

"A Pokémon?" Link asked.

"They're right, that is a Pokémon. Drampa is a Dragon Type and a Normal Type. How did he end up here?" Meowth asked.

"A dimensional rift, that's how," Kairi said.

"If that's right, then he's lost," Sora said. Drampa made his sounds to the group. Sora turned to Meowth to interpret. "What's Drampa saying?"

"Drampa is saying hi to us and wanted to know where we're from," Meowth translated.

"The same world as you, Drampa. We would like to take you home," Kairi said. Drampa made his sounds to her.

"Drampa is saying he would like that very much," Meowth translated. Drampa looked over to Cuphead and Mugman who were both shivering. Drampa made his sounds to them. "I'm going to guess he recognized you two."

"I wouldn't forget something that scares the stuffing out of me!" Cuphead exclaimed.

"Me neither!" Mugman said. Drampa made his sounds to them.

"Drampa is saying sorry for scaring you. He just thought you just didn't wanna play with him," Meowth translated.

"You mean, it's not going to eat us?" Cuphead asked.

"Drampa isn't that kind of Pokémon to do that," Meowth said.

"In case anyone forgot, we still have the pendants to recover," Link reminded the group.

"Right, almost forgot. Let's find the camp and get out of here," Sora said. Drampa made his sound to them.

"Drampa is saying he knows the place to find them. Just follow him," Meowth translated. The group followed Drampa in the woods and found the camp of the bandits.

"This is their camp," Link said.

"The pendants should be around here somewhere," Sora said. Everyone looked around for the pendants until they found the three pendants. They carried the stolen goods out of the woods and back to the sight where they made the capture. "That's the last one."

"And it was thanks of Drampa here," Kairi said.

"Pikachu!" Pikachu said.

"Eevee, vee!" Angel added.

"And if it weren't for the both of you, we wouldn't have found him here," Kairi said.

"No problem. I don't think we were properly introduced. The name's Cuphead and this is my brother Mugman," Cuphead introduced.

"Nice to meet you," Mugman said.

"I'm Sora and this is my girlfriend Kairi, my partner Pikachu, and this one is Angel," Sora introduced.

"I'm Agent 9."

"And I'm Meowth."

"I'm Link and this is my little sister Linkle," Link introduced.

"Watch the little sister crack," Linkle said.

"Anyway, did you get mixed into a dimensional rift too?" Sora asked.

"You mean that thing that opened up, then yeah, we did. Cuphead here wanted some more adventure after saving Inkwell Isle and its inhabitants," Mugman said.

"You guys kinda look like something out of one of those old cartoons. Is everyone in your world like that?" Agent 9 asked.

"If you're asking if everyone has cups for heads, then no," Cuphead said.

The group made their way back to Castle Hyrule and placed the Pendants of the Triforce in a secured location where not even Ganondorf would get it, as they hoped anyway. Drampa came along since they promised him to get him home.

"I cannot thank you enough. To be honest, I had my doubts about you, but I am glad to be proven wrong," Captain Russell said.

"We're just happy to help out," Sora said.

"And it's thanks to Drampa for showing us the way," Kairi said. Drampa nuzzled her, making her giggle.

"You go for it, Kairi," Sora said.

"You sure, Sora?" Kairi asked.

"Yeah, it's only fair you catch Drampa," Sora said.

"Okay," Kairi said. She took out a Pokéball and held in front of Drampa. Drampa presses the button and flows inside it. Stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch. Kairi's Pokémon Box activates and it asks her if she wants to keep Drampa with her. She chose to send Drampa back to Professor Oak's lab. "Welcome aboard, Drampa."

With the mission complete, the group returned to Pallet Town along with Cuphead and Mugman. The brothers saw how really different it was from Inkwell Isle and they were shown to the mansion as they made the report to Zelda about the pendants being safely delivered to the castle.

"Excellent work. I'm very relieved to hear Ganondorf wasn't behind this plot," Zelda said.

"Just where is Ganondorf hiding out?" Sora asked.

"It's not as simple as it may seem. He and some of his fellow villains might be hiding somewhere in one of the other realms," Zelda said.

"We'll have to go and find them tomorrow," Sora said.

"Right," Kairi said.

With that said, Sora and Kairi left for home as Cupman and Mugman were introduced to the rest of the otherwordly visitors. Crash, Coco, Rainbow Dash, and Applejack were playing a racing video game as Cuphead and Mugman watched with interest.

"Looks loads of fun! I play winner!" Cuphead announced.

"You'll have your chance, Cuppy, when I beat the pants off of these chumps!" Rainbow Dash said.

"Ya mean when Ah beat ya, Rainbow!" Applejack countered. Kazooie was enjoying the sight as Shadow was reading a book.

"Wrong! I'm going to beat you guys!" Coco stated. The newest additions kept watching with awe. They continued on with their game.

Over to Scourge, he kept searching for Sonic as Fang and Bark kept following him. The rest of the Destructix kept searching for the others.

What kind of trouble will they bring together? Will they compete or will they join forces? Just you wait and see.
