Episode 304: On the Brink of N. Sanity!
After returning from Hyrule, Sora and Kairi returned home to prepare for the next mission, wherever it was going to be.
"So, how was the mission?" Yuta asked.
"Not who we thought it was. Just a bunch of petty thungs who thought they were untouchable. Not to mention, I caught a Drampa while we were there," Kairi explained.
"A Drampa, huh? Haven't seen one of those in years. Such a good catch, hun," Yuta said.
"Also, Sora and I met these two guys. I think you would have to see them to believe it," Kairi said.
Over in the Mushroom Kingdom, Tawna is climbing through the warp pipes and fighting off the hordes of Koopas and Goombas coming her way. Apparently, she had made herself known and managed to avoid capture at the moment. Out of a Warp Pipe, came some flycatcher-like plants chomping at her. They all had red heads with white spots sitting on green stems with one leaf on each side (Piranha Plants). She jumped over the chomping plants as the Koopas and Goombas were chasing her. Coming out next were a trio of Chargin Chucks.
"Who's feeling lucky?" Tawna asked.
"That's what I was about to ask them!" A voice sadi. Murray doved right down at them. "Here comes the Thunder Flop!" The pink hippo slams into them and a Batman styled "THUDD!" lands with a punch. "Who else wants apiece of The Murray?"
"Morton take you on with that offer, pinky!" A voice said. It belonged to Morton Koopa Jr. "Morton beat hippo bad. And then, Morton turn hippo into own punching bag!"
"Then, you'll have to deal with us too," Sly jumped in, reading his cane. Bentley flew in on his jet-powered wheelchair. They had Morton outnumbered, but he wasn't close to being licked. He took out his magic wand and turned it into a hammer.
"Morton smash you like stinky rotten eggs!" Morton said, swinging his hammer down on them. The Cooper Gang and Tawna avoids the shockwave on the ground as Tawna uses her grappling hook and jumped to a tree. Sly grabs onto Bentley's wheelchair as Murray jumped to dodge.
"The Murray is more than a match for you! And the Murray only fights with his barehands!" Murray said.
"Then, Morton shall do the same," Morton said, tossing his hammer aside. He gave the hippo a powerful punch in the face. Murray returned the punch and it was just as powerful. The two giants threw on punch at the other and each blow was just as powerful. Morton swung his fist and missed when Murray ducked and delivered an uppercut right on his chin, causing Morton to fall backwards in defeat. "Morton beaten by hippo? Not fair! Morton remember this." The largest Koopaling retreated for the moment. Tawna walked up to the Cooper Gang.
"Thanks for the help. But I just wasn't expecting you to show up," Tawna said.
"You're just lucky that we were in the right place at the right time," Sly said.
"Yeah, but I would have won anyway. Thanks again for the assist," Tawna said.
"Just what are you doing here anyway?" Bentley asked.
"Just doing some traveling in the multiverse, finding some answers," Tawna said.
"Answers for what?" Bentley asked.
"On who is doing this and why. And to shut them down," Tawna said.
"Maybe we should work together. We could use your expertise on figuring out this mess," Sly offered.
"Thanks, but no. I fly solo. Anyway, the name's Tawna," Tawna introduced.
"Sly Cooper. And this is Bentley, the brains, and this is Murray, the brawn," Sly introduced.
"And we're a team," Murray added.
"Well, go team. Anyway, just watch yourselves out there. And who knows? Maybe, we'll bump into each other again and I might pay you back," Tawna said. She takes out her grappling hook and she ziplines to a floating block and takes off.
"Maybe, Tawna," Sly said.
Back in Kanto, Fang and Bark has been eyeing Scourge and readied to lessen the competition. He turned to Bark.
"You ready to rock, Bark?" Fang asked. Bark nodded. "Thought so. Let's do this thing." Fang and Bark were about to do away with the green hedgehog when Fiona shows up and kicks the bounty hunter's weapon out of his hands.
"Your show's been canceled, Fang," Fiona said. Scourge saw Fang and Bark in front of Fiona.
"Fang?! What are you doing here?" Scourge asked.
"Tailing you. The bounty is ours!" Fang exclaimed.
"If you're talking about Sonic, then, I'm going have to eliminate you myself," Scourge said.
"Bark, I got nothing against you and Bean, but step away if you know what's good for you. Speaking of Bean, where is he?" Fiona asked.
"That's for me and Bark to know," Fang said. "The score is settled now!" Fang was about to get to his weapon when Scourge stopped him by grabbing his neck. Bark was about to intervene when Drago Wolf, and Sleuth grabbed the polar bear and pushed him back. Sgt. Simian, Predator Hawk, Lightning Lynx, and Flying Frog came to the scene.
"Face it, Fang, it's seven of us against two of you. You're outnumbered," Scourge said.
"And you know even Bark can't handle all of us by himself," Predator Hawk said.
"Are we having a party?! Can I join or is this private?" Bean called out, throwing some bombs at Destructix. The bombs explodes right in front of them as Bean stands with his teammates. "Sorry I'm late, had a hard time finding you."
"You're just in time, Bean. And the party's just getting started," Fang said.
"You're still outnumbered. And what chance do you have, Fang?" Scourge asked.
"Enough!" A voice spoke out. The voice was familair to them.
"Dr. Eggman?" Fang asked. He appeared before the two teams from a dimensional rift and has a sour look on his face.
"Fang, quit messing around and get to work!" Eggman ordered. "I'm not paying you to play catchup with Sonic's evil twin!"
"Not my fault! Scourge and the rest of Destructix came around and couldn't risk them interfering with our job!" Fang said.
"Don't lose your focus, Fang! That kid and his friends are traveling into different worlds and we need you to stop him!" Dr. Eggman stated.
"What kid?" Scourge asked.
"Someone who is possibly working for Sonic," Dr. Eggman explained. He turned to Fang. "You have your assignment, so get to work!" Eggman said.
"Yeah, yeah. If you hired them, then I would have the bounty doubled!" Fang said.
"We were brought in by Finitevus. He has nothing to do with your job," Scourge said.
"I'll let you get to work then. Just get it done," Dr. Eggman said. He goes back through the dimensional rift and it closes.
"Just you know, I don't trust you as far I can throw you," Fang said.
"That makes two of us, Fang. But we should just put our differences aside and deal with Sonic together. And you can have your bounty on that kid he was going on about," Scourge said.
"Fine. Just don't get in my way," Fang said before he turned to the duck. "Anyway, Bean, did you keep an eye on that kid like I told you?"
"Sure did. And if he's going around in different worlds, then we should be chasing him there," Bean said.
"You'll need our help to nab them since we don't know how tough he is," Fiona said. "And I have just the way to do it." She pulled out a device to allow them to travel from world to world.
"Bean, you lead the way," Fang said. Bean nodded as the Hooligans and the Destructix went off to Pallet Town.
Over in Pallet Town, Mario, Luigi, Toad, Wario, Donkey Kong, Yoshi, and Waluigi were playing a game of poker. Toad was dealing the cards.
"Let's keep it clean, everyone. That means you and you," Toad said, pointing to Wario and Waluigi. Pit and Tails were playing Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots. Pit is the red one and Tails is the blue robot.
"You must be lucky, Tails. Being able to fly all by yourself," Pit said.
"It was a little something I found out by accident. I didn't even know why I was born with two tails, but I gotta admit, it was hard to live with it when some of the other kids were teasing me for it," Tails said. "But I got over it when I met Sonic."
"Lucky," Pit said.
"I felt lucky when he became my best friend and my big brother figure," Tail said. He won over Pit when the blue robot knocked knocked its block off. "Ha-ha! Knocked your block off!"
"No fair! You won because his arms are longer!" Pit exclaimed.
"Are not!" Tails said. Amy came in with a plate of pizza for the two-tailed fox.
"Hungry, Tails? How would like some hot pizza?" Amy offered.
"Sweet!" Tails said, taking a slice. Pit took a slice too, quickly getting over his loss to Tails.
"You made this, Amy?" Pit asked.
"Yeah. I kinda ended up making extra, so I'm giving it to everyone. Sonic is even enjoying it," Amy said, starting to daydream. Pit leaned over to Tails.
"She's doing it again," Pit whispered.
"Let her daydream. I'm already used to it," Tails said.
Over on the poker table, Waluigi had been handing aces to Wario and he did the same to Waluigi.
"Okay, I got a straight flush!" Toad said, revealing his hand. He has five of hearts, six of diamonds, seven of spades, eight of clubs, and nine of diamonds.
"I'm out," Luigi said, placing his cards down.
"I'm-a out," Mario said, placing his cards down.
"Shoot! I'm out!" Yoshi said, placing his cards down.
"I fold," Donkey Kong said, placing his cards down.
"Me too," Waluigi said.
"Wario, are you in or out?" Toad challenged.
"I'm in," Wario said. "And I have a," Wario reveals his hand, and it's a royal flush, ten of clubs, Jack of hearts, queen of spades, king of hearts, and ace of hearts, "Royal Flush!"
"What?! No way!" Toad exclaimed.
"I win again!" Wario said, collecting his poker chips. He laughed.
"It's a good thing we're not playing with real money because we'd be broker than a crack," Donkey Kong said.
"You mean, it's not an official game?!" Waluigi questioned.
"Who cares because I win again. Luck's on my side!" Wario said as cards fell out of his sleeves.
"I knew it! You were cheating!" Toad accused.
"Who cares, it wasn't a real gamble anyway!" Wario gloated. Mario, Luigi, Toad, Yoshi, and Donkey Kong walked away from the cheating duo as they gloated at them.
Mega Man and X were reading some books as Axl was reading a comic book about a superhero calling himself Gliscorman. Axl reads the part where he meets with a supervillain calling himself the Robot King as he has Gliscorman at his clutches. Axl was about to get to the best part when they heard a loud boom.
"What was that?!" X asked.
"Probably one of Bomb Man's bombs going off again," Mega Man said.
"Not even close. It's just Cuphead and Mugman playing those games again. Ever since they got here, they've been addicted to them," Bomb Man said.
Cuphead and Mugman had been playing video games non-stop as they were playing the same racing game. Shantae, Bolo, Diddy, Dixie, and Kiddy were watching the game play.
"Eat my dust, dust-eater!" Mugman taunted.
"You eat mine first!" Cuphead said.
"I got winner," Shantae said.
"Me too," Diddy and Dixie said.
There was never a dull moment in the mansion. Sora and Ash were watching some Pokémon battles on TV as May, Max, and Rainbow Dash were invited over. It was a battle between the Elite Four member, Bruno against a trainer with an Alakazam. Bruno had gotten hold of a Hariyama and bested the opposing Alakazam despite a Type disadvantage.
"Wow, your Bruno is just as strong as my Bruno," Ash said.
"Strong and awesome!" Rainbow Dash said.
"Well, Bruno is no slouch when it comes from Pokémon battling. And that Hariyama did a number on that Alakazam. I know it's even stronger than my Hariyama," Sora said.
Over in Kairi's house, Pinkie Pie was making dessert for after dinner when she was asked by Mirei to bake her special cupcakes.
"My, my, these look delicious," Kairi's grandmother said.
"That's what all my friends said before they had their first bite," Pinkie said.
Sora and Kairi's families didn't have any dull moments either. Back in Professor Oak's lab, Hunter was shooting some arrows as Bianca watches. Scorbunny takes a bouquet of flowers to deliever them to the bunny she loves.. Scorbunny shows up next to her, making Bianca chuckle nervously.
"Um, thanks, Scorbunny. You're sweet," Bianca said.
"Scorbunny," Scorbunny said, blushing. He was glad to hear his crush say that he's sweet. He pictured himself being married to Bianca as she wore a white wedding dress and Scorbunny was dressed in a white tuxedo and white top hot. "Bunny." The cheetah turned and sighed in annoyance.
"You again? How many times do we have to go through this? Bianca is my girlfriend and you should go and find yourself a rabbit Pokémon to love!" Hunter said. That earned Hunter an Ember in the face. He gave the cheetah a raspberry and he blew a kiss to Bianca. Scorbunny hopped off. "Ooh, that little-"
"Leave Scorbunny alone, Hunter. I think it's cute that Scorbunny has a crush on me. And I think it's funny that you're jealous over a Pokémon," Bianca said.
"I just don't like it when someone starts hitting on my girl," Hunter said. Bianca gave Hunter a kiss on the cheek.
"Better?" Bianca asked.
"You're going have to convince me better than that," Hunter said. And she kissed him on the lips and he kisses her back. "Now, I'm convinced. Omega then arrives at the ranch. "Omega? What's up now?"
"I was sent by Amy Rose to retrieve both you and Bianca. She has prepared some pizza for you," Omega said.
"Yum," Hunger said. The couple started to make their way back to the mansion for pizza.
Hours later at night, everyone was sleeping soundly. Bianca was clinging to hunter. Elora was backed against Spyro as Sparx slept soundly on Bentley's club. The yeti held Cream in his arms as Cream held onto cheese. Elora woke up and saw cute Spyro was when he was sleeping.
"Sleep tight, Spyro," Elora whispered planting a kiss on the dragon's forehead. Spyro opened one eye as he smiled. He closes it as he went back to sleep.
On the very next morning, the next mission was going to be in Crash's world. Sora and Kairi figured they could use Crash and Coco since it was their home. Aku Aku tagged along with them. Sora and Kairi were bringing Gallade, Crawdaunt, Skarmory, Muk, Koffing, Gardevoir, Abra, Pyukumuku, Chimecho, and Sunflora.
Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, and Meowth got ready as they have packed their preparations. Shantae, Bolo, Sky, and Rottytops were tagging along as well. Rouge remembered hearing how the bandicoots used to collect gems and crystals, so she decided that she wanted to have some for herself. Once the team was assembled, they got set to go.
"Okay, everyone, let's get the show on the dimesional road," Sora said. Alia activities the dimensional rift and they all enter through. Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, Crash, Coco, Aku Aku, Shantae, Sky, Bolo, Rottytops, and Rouge all enter into this new world. They all found themselves on the Wumpa Islands
"So, this is your island isn't it?" Sora asked.
"It is. At least it looks peaceful around here and not have any evil geniuses to worry about," Coco said. Crash nodded in agreement with his sister.
"Like that Cortex joker you told us about? The same one you sent back in the past after you kicked his booty in that time machine?" Meowth asked.
"I still would like to go back in time and see your world's history," Shantae said.
"You just to play around, right?" Sky asked. Shantae puffed up her cheeks in annoyance. "Anyway, we should keep our eyes open for any Pokémon and have them sent back to your world."
"I was going to say that anyway. The Pokémon will much safer when we find it and send it back home," Sora said.
"So, where do we start looking?" Bolo asked.
"We should begin by looking through the Wumpa Jungle. It's just a good start as any," Aku Aku said.
"Right," sora said. "Let's do that."
"There is something I wanna point out before we get to that. Why is Rouge here with us?" Meowth asked.
"I think I know why. Knuckles told us about how Rouge wants to claim so much jewelry for herself," Sora said.
"Makes sense to me," Shantae said.
"I heard of a cat burglar, but a bat burglar is a new one on me," Sky said.
"Now, that's really batty," Rottytops said. Sora and Kairi both laughed.
"Good one, Rotty," Sora said.
"It wasn't that good," Rottytops said, laughing.
"Okay, now, let's get to it," Coco said.
"Not so fast!" A familiar voice called out. Crash, Coco, and Aku Aku recognized his voice.
"No, it can't be," Coco said.
"Oh, but it ca, Coco. And it is!" The voice repeated as the voice 's owner flew in before the group in a jetpack. "You didn't think I had forgotten about our last encounter in outer space, did you?"
"N. Gin!" Coco exclaimed.
"Who is that?" Sora asked.
"He's Dr. N. Gin, one of the evil scientists we were just mentioning. I thought he was lost in space after I whooped him," Coco said.
"You would like that, wouldn't you, Coco? After our last battle, I managed to find my way back to earth and started building up cyborg army. And since you're here, it's a perfect opportunity for my revenge! And it looks like you got yourselves some new friends as well. Any friend of Crash Bandicoot is an enemy of mine!" N. Gin said.
"Well, we aren't so wild about you either, motor mouth," Sora said.
"Pika!" Pikachu said.
"How about you come right down here and I can kick you right back into space and see how long it takes you to come back then," Shantae suggested.
"Not a bad plan," Sky said.
"Hm, I would, but I think it's only suitable that you come on over to my lair. I'll be waiting for you there. So, don't get lost on the way over," N. Gin said, laughing. He takes off in his jetpack.
"Whats his deal?" Rottytops asked.
"N. Gin sure is anxious to have his butt whooped. Crash and I did it before and I know we can again," Coco said.
"Don't be so certain, Coco. N. Gin might be leading us into a trap. N. Gin sounds like he wants us to come, so we must be careful," Aku Aku warned.
"Don't worry, Aku Aku, we can handle ourselves," Coco said.
"What if N. Gin is working with Ganondorf, Bowser, King K. Rool, and Lord Fredrik?" Meowth asked.
"Meowth is right, there's a chance that he's working with those guys," Rouge agreed. "And there's a chance of them having some precious jewelry with my name on them," Rouge added under her breath.
"We can question him about that when we get hold of him," Sora said.
"What if he's not?" Kairi asked.
"Eevee?" Angel asked.
"We'll cross that bridge when we come to it. Until then, we'll focus on N. Gin and keep our eyes open for a lost Pokémon while we're at it," Sora said. With that said, Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, Crash, Coco, Aku Aku, Shantae, Sky, Bolo, Rottytops, and Rouge continued through the Wumpa Jungle to find N. Gin's lair.
Speaking of which, N. Gin laughed as his okan is set.
"This is so sweet! Crash and friends are out looking for me. Now, I got to set my trap to snatch them up," N. Gin said. He made contact with Cortex and N. Tropy.
"Doctor Cortex! The trap is set! The bandicoots are heading my way!" N. Gin said.
"So, Crash Bandicoot is sticking his nose into our business again! I figured he would! And now the opportunity to kill him once and for all has finally come on my doorstep," Cortex said.
"If the bandicoots are here, then we have much to do. We must prepare a proper welcome for those disgusting marsupials!" N. Tropy said.
"Be sure to despose of the bandicoots as soon as they arrive," Cortex said.
"Yes, master," N. Gin said, breaking contact. Back in Castle Cortex, Cortex rolled his eyes and sighed.
"N. Gin's going to fail... again," Cortex groaned.
"For once you are right. The scoreboard between the bandicoots and N. Gin is one sided by two to nothing. But thanks to my Rift Generator, we can turn the tables on those mongrels, and revenge will be ours," N. Tropy said. Then he said, under his breath, "But mostly mine." He laughed to himself.
"After N. Gin fails again, I can send in N. Brio and that puppet of theirs to finish them off. But knowing N. Brio, he'll let his intellectual ego go to his freaky head. And then, once their failures are accomplished, I can move in and exact my revenge for my downfall," Cortex said, laughing to himself.
Elsewhere on the Wumpa Islands, the Hooligans and the Destructix enters through a dimensional rift to hunt down Sora and Sonic. Scourge wants to kill Sonic with his own hands and the Hooligans can collect the bounty from Eggman.
"Okay, let's split from here. I have a hedgehog to find and kill," Scourge said, running off to find Sonic. The rest of the Destructrix went with the Hooligans to find Sora.
Over to N. Gin, he begins to set his trap to lure Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, Crash, Coco, Aku Aku, Shantae, Sky, Bolo, Rottytops, and Rouge in it. He set up signs to make it easier to lure them over.
"There, Crash and those other guys will heading my way when they see these signs. Once they come inside, I can crush them into a bloody pulp. Maybe, I can make some good use for the ladies though. Place some mind controlling chips into their brains and make them work for me," N. Gin said. He laughed. A dimesional rift opens and Jak, Daxter, and Keira enters the Wumpa Islands through.
"So, where do we start looking?" Daxter asked.
"There should be a village somewhere around here. They might have a very strong warrior to join us," Jak said.
"That's a solid plan, Jak. If only we can convince them to join up so easily," Keira said.
"Right. Let's get started," Jak said. "What do you say, Daxter?" he didn't hear a reply xome from his partner. "Daxter?"
"Over here!" Daxter called out to Jak and Keira. They came to see the sign he was looking at. The sign read: "Evil Genius Lair Right This Way." The trio were very skeptical skeptical. "Someone has an overflated ego."
"Overflated or not, this guy is sure in for a hurt," Jak said.
"Shouldn't we go and look for some strong warrior?" Keira reminded her boyfriend.
"There's a chance he's already there, so we can join forces to fight the villain," Jak said.
"Jak's right, Keira. This guy's in trouble if he think he's going to lure us with a stupid trap!" Daxter said. "Now, let's kick some asses!"
With that said, the trio followed the signs to N. Gin's lair. The Hooligans and the Destructix (except for Scourge) saw the signs and were certain Sora was heading this way.
Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, Crash, Coco, Aku Aku, Shantae, Sky, Bolo, Rottytops, and Rouge ventured through the jungle as they passed loads of animals along the way. There were skunks with a skull pattern on their backs. The skunks were about to spray them when they started running through the trees.
A group of natives were hunting for some warthogs when Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, Crash, Coco, Aku Aku, Shantae, Sky, Bolo, Rottytops, and Rouge ran by them, scaring the wild pigs and causes a stampede. The natives ran for their lives as the warthhogs were chasing them. The group made a stop when they were sure they were at a safe distance.
"That was close. Those skunks would have sprayed us if we hadn't gotten away in time," Coco panted.
"It was a good thing you warned us about them, Coco. Those skunks mean business," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"I may stink, but even a zombie's stink won't top a skunk's odor," Rottytops said.
"I thought they could," Bolo said.
"At least nothing bad happened," Kairi said.
"Not until that rocket head tries something anyway," Meowth said.
"Speaking of which, where could he be?" Rouge asked. "And could be those lovely gems and crystals be in there too?"
"Quit thinking of yourself, Rouge, we got an evil scientist to find first," Shantae said.
"I can't believe she's acting mature for once," Sky said in her thoughts.
"Shantae is right. N. Gin's lair should be around here somewhere," Aku Aku said. Pikachu and Meowth look up to see the sign above them.
"Right down this direction," Meowth said.
"How do you know that, Meowth?" Sora asked. He saw the sign too. "Okay, that'll do."
"I heard of 'give me a sign,' but I wasn't expecting this," Bolo said.
"Maybe N. Gin was just bluffing and invited us over to have his tush handed to him," Rottytops said.
"That could be it, Rotty. But Aku Aku might be right about it being a trap," Coco said.
"We should plan our attack before we start," Sora said. The group got into a huddle, but Crash goes on ahead. He spots some fruit with a yellow bottom and a red-orange top. Crash grabs the fruit and swallows them whole, one-by-one. It was definitely a trap built for Crash as Crash kept eating the fruit. Crash fell right into a pitfall trap.
"WHOA!" Crash yelped. He lands on the ground with stars swirling around his head.
Back to the group, they went over a few minutes of careful planning their attack.
"Okay, is everyone clear on the plan?" Sora asked.
"Clear," Everyone said. Coco noticed her brother wasn't with the group anymore.
"Wait a minute. Where's Crash?" Coco asked.
"He was just here a sec ago," Shantae said.
"Hope he hasn't gone far," Kairi sai. "Crash, where are you?"
"Crash!" Aku Aku called out and no reponse came from the male bandicoot.
"How can a bandicoot vanish out of thin air? And how come there wasn't a Pokémon based on a bandicoot? Or maybe a dingo, an opossum, or maybe a Tasmanian devil? I mean, come on, people, we have loads of Pokémon that resemble diffrent kinds of animals and plants. It can still happen, people!" Meowth said, breaking the fourth wall. Meowth looked around for Crash when he fell in the hole and screamed as he landed on him.
"Meowth? Where are you, Meowth?"Bolo asked.
"Down here," Meowth said in pain. The group looked down in the hole.
"Crash? Quit joking around. We gotta track N. Gin," Sora said. Sora takes out a Pokéball and lets Gallade out. "Use Psychic to lift them up." Gallade lifts Crash and Meowth out of the hole.
"Thanks for the lift, Sora," Meowth said.
"Just what happened?" Sora asked.
"Looking for Crash and I fell in that hole," Meowth said, pointing to the hole.
"How did Crash fall in?" Shantae asked.
"I think I know how," Coco deadpanned, holding up the fruit. "Crash was picking up some of these."
"Huh? Fruit?" Sora asked.
"This fruit is known as a Wumpa. They are very indigenous to the islands and ironcally, they can only be found here," Aku Aku said.
"Crash must have missed these," Shantae said.
"How do they taste?" Sora asked.
"Take a bite and find out," Coco said.
"Down the hatch," Sora said, taking a bite. A purple juice drips on his face as Sora savored the taste. "Mmm. It tastes like an apple mix up with a tangy and creamytasteof a mango." Kairi, Shantae, Sky, Bolo, Pikachu, Angel, and Meowth each took a bite and their tastebuds started dancing.
"It's very delicious!" Kairi said.
"We should bring some back with us once the mission is over," Sora said.
"Good idea. It might be a good idea to introduce a new kind of fruit into your world," Coco said.
"Now, we have an evil genius to beat," Shantae said. Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, Crash, Coco, Aku Aku, Shantae, Sky, Bolo, Rottytops, and Rouge continued on with the mission.
Scourge searched the island for Sonic and he growled in anger and frustration.
"Where are you, Sonic? I should have known better to trust that weasel," Scourge snarled. "He is so dead when I get my hands on him."
Over to the Hooligans and the rest of the Destructix, they managed to find N. Gin's lair after following the signs. Flying Frog accidentally triggered a trap and they end up getting caught in an electrified steel cage.
"Hey! What's going on?!" Flying Frog exclaimed.
"When I get my hands on the guy who did this to us, I'll ring his neck!" Sleuth said. Bark and Sgt. Simian tried to open the cage, but they got shocked. N. Gin came to see what he caught. His expression turned to disappointment.
"None of you are bandicoots," N. Gin said.
"Who are you?" Fiona asked.
"And what are bandicoots?" Bean asked.
"I am Dr. N. Gin The very owner of this secret lair, designed to lure Crash Bandicoot and his friends to their doom. But the bright side is I now know the traps works like a charm! And that's just one of the traps I have set," N. Gin gloated. And perfect timing, Jak, Daxter, and Keira fell from above and right into another cage.
"What a ride," Daxter said.
"Where are we now?" Jak asked.
"Another trap proven useful!" N. Gin said with glee. Daxter flinched just by looking at him.
"Who are you?" Jak asked.
"Dr. N. Gin," Bean answered.
"I was about to say that! Step on my toes again and it's Peking duck for dinner tonight!" N. Gin yelled. He turned to his latest prisoners. "Now, whoever you are, you sure picked a bad time to get tangled in my web." N. Gin laughed.
"Just what do you plan to do with us?" Keira asked.
"I'm sure I could think of something for you. Once my real targets get here, I'll get to work on making your mind control chips and make you into my mindless slaves," N. Gin said.
"If you're working with the Brotherhood of Darkness, then you're going to be in a world of hurt when we get out," Jak said.
"I don't even know what you're talking about, but I don't care. Just stay put while I put the finishing touches on my newest weapon. Let's just say, it'll ROCK your world!" N. Gin said, laughing some more.
"I seriously don't get why the bad guys has to laugh so much. I mean it's such a stereotype for the bad guys to laugh, I mean I know they're bad guys and all," Daxter said.
"How about they have themelves a top hat, a black cape and one of those sinister mustaches, then we would be set for our villain," Bean said.
"Seriously, Bean?" Predator Hawk questioned.
"When I get out of here, I'm going to use that little mechanical troll as a scratching post!" Lightning Lynx snarled.
"Not before I get done with him," Sgt. Simian said. Bark growled.
"You're going have to wait in line until I get done with him!" Daxter said.
"We gotta get out of here somehow!" Keira said.
"I could try shooting us out," Jak said, taking out a large laser gun. He fires at the lock, but it reflects back and goes all around. "Okay, maybe not."
"Ben, don't you have any explosives that can get us out of here?" Sleuth asked.
"I could use those, but we'll only end up being blown into smithereens," Bean said.
"Bean's right. It's too risky," Fiona said.
"Unless any of us can generate electricity, we're good as stuck in here," Predator Hawk said.
Outside of N. Gin's lair, Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, Crash, Coco, Aku Aku, Shantae, Sky, Bolo, Rottytops, and Rouge made their way to the entrance.
"Stop me if it sounds obvious, but I'm thinking this is the place," Sora said.
"Thanks for pointing that out, Captain Obvious," Rouge said.
"Remember, there could be traps all around the lair. We must approach this with care," Aku Aku said.
"Right," The group all agreed. rash stepped on a tile, making the floor open from underneath them.
"Crash!" Sora, Kairi, Meowth, Coco, Shantae, Sky, Bolo, and Rottytops scold. The group all fall through and all landed in a cage next to Jak, Daxter, and Keira. Rouge flew since she was a bat and flew down to get them. So far, she managed to grab Meowth in her hands. Aku Aku floated above as Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, Crash, Coco, Shantae, Sky, Bolo, and Rottytops dogpile on each other.
"The sky's falling, the sky's falling," Sora said in a daze.
"Actually, you did all the falling," Daxter said.
"Who are you?" Sora asked.
"I was about to ask you the same thing," Jak said.
"Fang! It's him!" Bean said.
I see him!" Fang said. "If only we could get out." They all heard N. Gin coming back and he laughed to see his intended prisoners all arrive right on cue.
"Yes! I got you at last, Crash Bandicoot! You, Coco, and your merry band of misfits as well!" N. Gin said.
"You're going to be sorry when we get out, N. Gin!" Kairi said.
"Eevee!" Angel said.
"I doubt it. The bandicoots are on my to kill list while I can just make my mind control chips into your brains and you will have to do what I say!" N. Gin gloated.
"In a pig's eye we will!" Bolo said.
"Yeah, I'd rather be a ghost than be your little puppet!" Rottytops said.
"When I get done, you won't have a say in this matter or any matter at all! My new weapon is nearly completed, so I'll be back for the fuzzy marsupials, while you get acquainted with each other. Until then," N. Gin said as he took off.
"I get why you two beat him twice," Sora said.
"So, that's why he wants to kill you that bad. It's no wonder," Jak said.
"I was wondering what a bandicoot was, but I got my answer. And what are those fuzzballs?" Daxter asked.
"I'll tell you what they are, they're cute," Keira said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"We can skip the introductions for right now because Rouge and Meowth aren't here with us," Bolo pointed out.
"Aku Aku isn't here either," Coco said.
"Don't worry, we can just have Pikachu overload the cages and get us out lickity split," Rootytops said.
"Don't even try to bend the bars, becuase we already tried it," Fang said. Sora turned to the other group in anohter cage.
"Who are you?" Sora asked.
"Doesn't matter, because we're all going to die," Fang said.
Over to Meowth, Rouge, and Aku Aku, they looked into the hole the rest had fallen in. They knew for certain N. Gin had them in his clutches.
"Any idea on how we're going to get down there without getting trapped?" Meowth asked.
"How about we go around them instead of through them?" Rouge suggested.
"But we don't even know our way around this place," Meowth said.
"You don't but I do. I came here in this cave many centuries ago. It is likely that they have ended up in the underground chamber. And I know where that is. Come! We must hurry!" Aku Aku said. The scratch cat Pokémon and bat folowed the floating mask to the underground chamber. Rouge saw there were all sorts of traps all over the lace, and luckily her years of burglaries has taught her well. She manges to undo all the traps and make it pas them.
"Shall we?" Rouge asked.
"Thanks a bunch," Meowth said. He thought that she would have been an excellent member of Team Rocket if his Team Rocket wasn't ultimately brought down. They had to focus on the task at hand. Scourge made it to the cave and ran inside to search for Sonic. He stopped inhis tracks when he saw Rouge inside.
"You!" Scourge snapped.
"Sonic?" Meowth asked.
"How can it be?" Aku Aku asked.
"It's not Sonic, but the Sonic I know anyway. This is Scourge the Hedgehog," Rouge said.
"Who is he exactly?" Meowth asked.
"You know about Mobius, but Scourge is from an alternate Mobius, where he ruled it with an iron fist. That was until Sonic and the Dr. Eggman in that world overthrew him," Rouge said.
"I haven't forgotten about it. And if you're here, then Sonic is too. Where is he, bat?" Scourge asked.
"Sorry, hun, but it's not my job to keep tabs on blue-boy. Also, I'm officially a mamber of his Freedom Fighters, so you're barking up the wrong tree," Rouge said.
"Then, I'll force the truth out of you if I must!" Scourge snarled as he grabbed Rouge by the throat. Meowth tried to use Fury Swipes on the green hedgehog, but he knocks him back. "Tell me where Sonic is or die." Scourge's grip tightened around her neck. Rouge desperately tries to breathe. Aku Aku placed himself on Meowth's face as the sound of drums plays as Meowth suddenly got up and ran to the green hedgehog. Aku Aku's head feathers turned to orange and gold.
"What's going on?! My feet suddenly has minds of their own!" Meowth exclaimed.
"It's because I'm controlling your movements! I can make you invincible for a short time! Quickly! Help Rouge!" Aku Aku said. Meowth ran to Scourge and grabs the evil hedgehog and tosses him. The throw knocks him out. Meowth grabs Rouge as she coughed after being held in a chokehold.
"You okay, Rouge?" Meowth asked.
"Thanks to you, Meowth," Rouge said. Aku Aku vacated from Meowth's face. "How did you do that?"
"I used some of my power to grant Meowth. But it was only temporary," Aku Aku said. "Come. We must hurry." The trio made their way the cave and covered their tracks so Scourge could find them.
"So, where from here?" Meowth asked.
"It has been a long time since I have been here, so the best way to find them is to-" Aku Aku said before he was cut off.
"We could just follow the tracks," Rouge said, looking at the footprints in the dirt.
"I was going to say take a shortcut, but we can do that too," Aku Aku said.
"Anything is better than nothing," Meowth said. Meowth, Rouge, and Aku Aku followed the footprints in the dirt. N. Gin was working on a giant robot with a giant drum set.
"Excellent! This is my proudest achievement!" N. Gin said.
Back to Meowth, Rouge, and Aku Aku, they finally found Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, Crash, Coco, Shantae, Sky, Bolo, and Rottytops along with some unfamiliar faces, but some familiar to Rouge.
"Fang? Bean, Bark, and the Destructix? I figured I'd see the rest of Scourge's gang after I saw him," Rouge said.
"I don't role with them anymore in case you forgot," Fang said.
"Me neither, bat-girl," Bean said as Bark nodded with agreement.
"Rouge, Meowth, Aku Aku, aren't we glad to see you," Sora said.
"Likewise," Meowth said. "So, where's that little cyber dwarf?"
"He said something about a a weapon. And he was going to use it to kill me and Crash. Also, to brainwash the rest of them," Coco said.
"I can get you out," Rouge said.
"I wouldn't, because the cages won't unlock," Sleuth said.
"And we already tried blasting our way out," Jak said.
"I can undo them," Aku Aku said. He used his magic to undo the locks, allowing Sora, Kairi, Crash, Coco, Shantae, Sky, Bolo, and Rottytops to get out. Aku Aku did the same for Jak, Daxter, and Keira. Aku Aku left the villainous teams behind since he could detect evil in them. Sora didn't feel right about leaving them there, but the mystical mask told them they didn't have time and Sora understood.
"Thanks for the save," Keira said.
"We better get a move on before N. Gin comes back," Sky said. The group leaves the chamber, and the villains still in the cage.
"Hey, aren't you forgetting someone?" Bean asked.
"No, not really. I thought you would like to spend some alone time with each other. And I already had my fill of you guys for one day, so bye," Rouge said.
"Come back here! I'm going to rip your wings off!" Drago barked, trying to bite through the cage, but ends up being shocked.
Sora,Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, Crash, Coco, Aku Aku, Shantae, Sky, Bolo, Rottytops, Rouge, Jak, Daxter, and Keira rushes through the cave to take out N. Gin's weapon.
Over to N. Gin, he was putting the finishing touches on his weapon.
"There, it's done! Now, to retrieve the bandicoots," N. Gin said.
"Don't bother N. Gin, because we're all right here!" Sora said.
"You! How did you get loose?" N. Gin asked.
"They had a little help," Meowth said, gesturing to Aku Aku.
"You may have gotten loose, but you won't be a match for my newest creation! But let's take this to somewhere private!" N. Gin said as he presses a button, teleporting him and the group out.
Scourge searches for Rouge, Meowth, and Aku Aku, but failed to find them. He did find his team and the Hooligans in a cage.
"Guys!" Scourge said. He rolls into a ball and he breaks the cage door open, enduring the shocks inflicted onto him. Fiona went to help him up.
"You okay, Scourge?" Fiona asked with concern.
"Yeah. What about you?" Scourge asked.
"Fine, thanks to you," Fiona said.
"Who put you in that cage?" Scourge asked.
"Just some creep calling himself N. Gin. The target we were after got away," Bean said.
"Along with that greedy bat," Predator Hawk said.
"Hear that, Lynx? You get to rip her wings off after we clip them," Flying Frog said.
"Good," Lightning Lynx said.
The Hooligans and the Destructix went to search for the group. The Hooligans were off to collect Sora while the Destructix wanted to deal with the rest.
Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, Crash, Coco, Aku Aku, Shantae, Sky, Bolo, Rottytops, Rouge, Jak, Daxter, and Keira all arrived in what looks like a set for a rock concert. The audience is consisted of a bunch of bald-headed lunatics, wearing goggles.
"All right you bloodthirsty lunatics! Put your freaky little hands together for... RAWK-IT HEAD!" N. Gin announced as they all cheered. The giant robot activates. N. Gin takes out a pair of drumsticks and taps them together. The robot mimics his movements. "1, 2, 1, 2, 3, 4!"
"This is going to be quite a show!" Daxter said.
"Prepare for a beating, bandicoots and friends!" N. Gin said. Sora and Kairi took out their Pokéballs and threw them.
"Gallade, Muk, Skarmory, Crawdaunt, and Koffing!" Sora called out.
"Gardevoir, Abra, Pyukumuku, Sunflora, and Chimecho!" Kairi called out.
Gallade, Gardevoir, Muk, Skarmory, Crawdaunt, Koffing, Abra, Pyukumuku, Sunflora, and Chimecho all came out to battle. Shantae got her genie magic working as Bolo took out his flail and swung it around. Sky and Rottytops nodded to each other as they charged on stage. N. Gin was making it harder for them.
"No one's allowed on stage, but me!" N. Gin said, banging on the drums. The robot banged on the drums, creating green and red energies. The group ducked and jumped out of the way.
"Gallade! Use Psychic on those things!" Sora ordered.
"Gardevoir and Abra, you do the same!" Kairi called out.
The three Psychic Type Pokémon all used Psychic to block the energies as Crash, Coco, and Shantae rushes right over. Shantae does her dance and then, transforms into an elephant.
"Large and in charge!" Shantae said as she trumpets and smacked the attacking lunatics. Jak and Keira showed of their fighting skills. Jak punches one of the lunatics in the face. Keira kicked one as Daxter took out a gun that was a tad bigger than he is and fired at them.
"Muk! Sludge Wave!" Sora ordered. Muk fired a wave of purple sludge and landed a hit into them.
"Abra! Mega Punch!" Kairi ordered. Abra lands a powerful punch onto some of them and they go flying. Abra joins the bandicoots as Abra uses Psychic to get them pass the energy attacks.
"Thanks Abra," Coco said and Abra gave a thumbs up. Abra teleports to the stage.
"Hey! Get off my stage, you little nuisance!" N. Gin said, swinging at Abra. The robot swings around as well.
"N. Gin's distracted! Let's go!" Sky said.
The rest of the group went up to the stage. Skarmory carried Pyukumuku in her talons and dropped the sea cucumber Pokémon and lands a punch onto the robot.
"Get away from my robot!" N. Gin yelled. The robot bats Abra onto the stage.
"Abra!" Kairi gasped.
"You're such a pain! Now to smash you like a bug!" N. Gin said. The robot prepared to crush the psi Pokémon when Sora stepped in.
"Gallade! Psycho Cut!" Sora ordered. Gallade forms a psychic energy and slices through the robots arm. Abra gets back up and Gardevoir helps him up.
"Are you alright, Abra?" - Gardevoir subtitle.
"Yeah, I am, thanks to Gallade. And thanks for asking." - Abra subtitle.
"Gardevoir! Magical Leaf! Chimecho! Use Hyper Voice! Sunflora! Use Leaf Storm!" Kairi ordered. Gardevoir, Chimecho, and Sunflora fired their attacks at the robot and takes loads of damage. Jak fires at the robot as Rouge gave some kicks on some attacking lunatics. Abra uses Psychic to lift himself up and started evolving. Abra had now become a Kadabra.
"Abra, you evolved," Kairi said.
"What just happened here?" Daxter asked.
"I don't know, but I'm just glad those things are on our side," Jak said.
"Crawdaunt! Crabhammer! Muk! Mud Bomb! Skarmory! Steel Wing! Koffing! Use Sludge!" Sora ordered. Crawdaunt swings his pincers at the robot as Muk fired Mud Bomb at the robot, gumming its parts. Skarmory lands Steel Wing on the robot, slicing off its head with N. Gin in it. Koffing fires Sludge at the headless robot and it gives out. N. Gin fell out of the cockpit and tumbles backwards.
"My beautiful creation," N. Gin said. Muk slams his body onto N. Gin. "Get off me, you blob!"
"Muk, Muk," Muk said. A dimensional rift opens and Muk tosses him through. N. Gin screams as he goes through. N. Gin's minions all fled, knowing they had lost.
"That was a fun concert," Sora said. He turned to Jak, Daxter, and Keira. "And thanks for the assist."
"No problem. It looks like we're on the same side. And I don't think we introduced ourselves before, the name's Jak. This is my sidekick Daxter and my girlfriend Keira," Jak said.
"I'm Sora," Sora introduced himself. "And that's my girlfriend Kairi, my partner Pikachu, his girlfriend Angel, and that's Meowth."
"I'm Shantae, the half-genie hero."
"Sky."
"Bolo."
"Rottytops."
"Hmph. I'm Rouge the Bat," Rouge pouted.
"What's up with her?" Keira asked.
"She's just steamed about not getting what she wants," Sora said. "Anyway, what brings you here?"
"Just doing some inter dimesional traveling, looking for some additional help," Jak said.
"Looks like you can handle yourselves, fine, eh?" Daxter said.
"Chu," Pikachu said.
"Well, chu to you too," Daxter said. "Hey, I'm a poet and I didn't know it!" Daxter said.
"Say, why don't you join us for a while?" Sora asked.
"We still have a job to do. And maybe we'll meet again sometimes, huh?" Jak asked.
"Looking forward to it," Sora said, shaking Jak's hand. Jak, Daxter, and Keira took off through another dimensional rift. "We didn't see any Pokémon around, so it was a total bust."
"At least we stomped the bad guy, right?" Coco asked.
"Coco's right, we did," Kairi said.
"So how about we head back home for now and rest up?" Meowth asked.
"Not a bad idea, because I could use a good bath after that whole ordeal," Sky said.
"Alia, we could use a pickup right about now," Sora said, speaking through his communicator. Alia activities the dimensional rift and brings them back home safely. Upon arriving back, Rouge explained to the rest about the Hooligans and the Destructix. Sora knew they were bad news, but wondered if they got out safely.
After several hours, Crash and Coco went back to the Wumpa Islands to gather the Wumpa fruit and presented them to everyone around. Kairi saw new opportunities in making some Wumpa delicacies. Kairi planted a Wumpa seed in the soil in order to plant the world's very first Wumpa tree.
"There, the rest is up to nature," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
Now that the mission on the Wumpa Islands has been completed, who knows what else will be coming their way?
