Episode 310: Pokémon is Magic
After returning from the Mushroom Kingdom, Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, and Meowth spent some time relaxing after taking down a Koopa Fortress. Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, and Princess Daisy were invited to a spaghetti dinner joined by the couple's families. Ash, Brock, May, and Max were joining in as well. As soon as Sora entered in his door, Delia turned to see him.
"Oh, Sora. What perfect timing. A letter has come for you while you were out," Delia said.
"Another fan letter right?" Sora asked. "Might as well see what it says." Sora took the envelope from his mother and he got wide-eyed when he saw who it was from. "Jessie? James?"
"Pika?" Pikachu asked.
Sora was surprised to hear from for a while, but it has been since their wedding, so he wanted to hear what they had to say. He opened the letter and read what was inside. His eyes went extremely wide when he read one specific line.
"Kairi and Meowth are going to eat this up! Especially Meowth!" Sora exclaimed.
"Pikachu!" Pikachu said.
After reading the letter, Sora went over to Kairi's house to show her the letter. He would have done it later, but he felt she should know now and because Meowth was there.
"Jessie and James sent that letter to your house?" Kairi asked.
"Eevee!" Angel said.
"What do they have to say?" Meowth asked, wanting to know. "What, what, what, what, what, what?!"
"Calm down, Meowth! Gimmie a chance to read it first!" Sora said. "Okay, here is what is says." Sora began to read what the letter says. It was written by James.
Dear Sora,
It's been a while since we took down Team Rocket, so Jessie and I have been thinking about you a lot. Right after we got married, we went down to my parents and I announced to them that I have gotten married to a woman of my own choosing, and not who they chose for me. Jessiebelle had taken it hard, but she is rather persistent, trying to win me back. I understood how you felt when we used to bother you. I told them once and for all, they accept the choice I made or get out of my life altogether. I can imagine how they took it when we left. Genhis and Kahnnie helped us build our new house and we started our new lives. Not long after that, wild Bellsprout and Weepinbell started showing up and they shared their lives with ours. The reason I'm writing to you now is because I just found out Jessie is pregnant with my child. I know, right? It turned into the happiest day of my entire life. Wobbufett is tending to Jessie's needs. Also, Jessie still has her old personality, but it's only because of the pregnancy; I hope. Hope things are well between you and Kairi. Also, be sure to give Meowth the good news too. Hope to see you soon,

Kairi was happy for the former Team Rocket members that they get to have their own baby, but none of them were close to being the happiest than Meowth. He was jumping off the walls to hear his old colleagues are expecting.
"Oh, this is a happy day for us all!" Meowth exclaimed with joy. Kairi turned to Sora with a smile
"You were right to bring us together," Kairi said.
"I'm just happy to see Meowth happy," Sora said.
Meowth went out to the town's streets and he didn't care who heard him. Everyone at the mansion was affected by Meowth's celebration.
"What's he going on about?" Cuphead asked.
"I think he's saying something about a baby," Mugman said.
"A baby?" Cuphead asked.
"Meowth, what's got you so worked up?" Roll asked.
"Jessie and James are having a baby! And I want everybody in the whole wide world to know it!" Meowth said as he yelled with joy.
Back at Kairi's house, Sora sighed when he realized he can hear Meowth's joyous yells from a distance.
"Maybe it was too soon to do so," Sora said.
"He was going to find out sooner or later," Kairi said.
"You're right, he would have," Sora said. "Still, the damage is done."
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
Over in Ponyville, Twilight was looking over the strange creature sightings. She remembered her experience in Earthland when dealing with an Ultra Beast along with the others.
"Okay, Twilight, just keep your cool, it's not like there was another Ultra Wormhole that opened without anypony knowing. It's not like anything bad could go wrong, it's not like it's the worst thing that could happen," Twilight went on before a knock on the castle's doors. "AAH!"
"Twilight, it's just the door," Spike said.
"Right, the door," Twilight said, answering the door, seeing Shining Armor, Cadance, and Flurry Heart at the door. She had the dolls of Sora and Kairi. "Hi Shining Armor, Cadance. And you too, Flurry!" Flurry laughed as she reached out for favorite aunt.
"Sunshine, sunshine, ladybugs awake! Clap your hooves and do a little shake!" Twilight and Cadance chanted, and hugged.
"So, how are things since the last time?" Cadance asked.
"Good so far. You?" Twilight asked.
"Same thing. Flurry's been playing with those dolls more so than her whammy," Shining Armor said. "It's funny, because I was just thinking about them just the other day."
"Me too. I have been wondering how those lovebirds and their friends are doing," Cadance said.
"Me too. It feels like forever since we met them in Earthland. Those Fairy Tail wizards had pretty incredible magic. And the turtles were fun to be with, especially how Pinkie and Mikey hit it off. Also, April was good company," Twilight said. Shining Armor and Cadance laughed.
"And if I know Pinkie, she might have a party ready for them," Shining Armor said.
"I'm very grateful to Lillie, Illima, and the others for what they did for Flurry. I just can't thank them enough," Cadance said.
"You thanked them about thirty to fifty times before the battle between him and Bart," Shining Armor said. Cadance knew her husband was right about it.
Over to the Cutie Mark Crusaders, Snubbull was playing ball with them. Snubbull eventually won over the three fillies. Apple Bloom had already met Lickitung and the licking Pokémon instantly liked the youngest Apple sibling. Lickitung didn't waste anytime fitting in with the Apple family. Yanma had been a real pain for Applejack since it started swiping apples.
Murkrow was flying around Ponyville, taking anything that's shiny or sparkly. Stantler is still avoiding predators by giving them hallucinations. Girafarig is still unintentionally scaring ponies with its tail. Ditto continued with its transformation while Paras ended up taking refuge with a family of rabbits. The rabbits took a shine to the mushroom Pokémon when it fended off a hungry hawk with its Stun Spore. The rabbits were very grateful to Paras and treated it as part of the family. Smeargle was being praised by the elite ponies for its art talent. Celestia and Luna recognized the Normal Type Pokémon. They couldn't help but wonder if there other Pokémon lurking around in Equestria. Dowzee enjoyed the company of Pinkie Pie as they spent some time playing with each other. Two little foals, one being a cream-colored pegasus colt with a brown mane and tail and the other being a unicorn filly with an orange mane and tail and wearing a light blue ribbon in it were playing with the taipar-like Pokémon. Drowzee had taken a liking to the baby ponies. Their parents, both being earth ponies, the stallion being yellow and lanky, and has an orange mane. He has three carrot cakes as a cutie mark, and the other is a blue earth pony mare with a pink mane and has three cupcakes as a cutie mark. Wobbufett has settled with Diamond Tiara's house. Her mother, being one of Murkrow's victims by swiping her pearl necklace. Chinchou is staying in a pond next to Twilight's castle. Chinchou poked its head out to see Twilight and Spike from time to time and some other ponies as well. Wooper has been staying in Fluttershy's cottage and gotten along with the animals staying there, even with a grizzly bear. Wooper was reminded of an Ursaring, but the bear seems very friendly.
Back in Pallet Town, Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, Ash, Brock, May, Max, the Mario Brothers, Peach, and Daisy were having their spaghetti dinner along with Delia, Kairi's parents and grandmother. Delia, Kairi, Mirei, Kairi's grandmother, Brock, Mimey, and the princess help make it as Sora, Ash, and Yuta spoke, leaving Mario and Luigi to share some of their pass experiences. When the meal was finished, Everyone dug in the pasta and enjoyed it very much. Sora was happy to eat the spaghetti made by his girlfriend while Ash slurped it up, leaving sauce on his face.
Over to the mansion while everyone else was doing their thing, Sunset Shimmer was thinking about her time in Equestria as Celestia's student. She had to admit, she doesn't have a fond memory of being her student, especially after walking out on her like she did. Bianca caught Sunset Shimmer in a daze.
"Sunset?" Bianca voiced with concern. Sunset Shimmer turned around to face the anthropomorphic rabbit sorceress. "Is something wrong?"
"No, nothing's wrong. How could there be anything wrong. I'm A-OK!" Sunset said trying to keep a straight face. Bianca was clearly not buying it. He expression switched from worried to stern. "I can see you're not amused."
"No, I am not. Applejack should know a thing or two about honesty, so out with it or we'll have a talk with her," Bianca said.
"No, don't! I'll talk," Sunset Shimmer said.
"I'm listening," Bianca said.
"You remember that I told you and the rest I was Princess Celestia's student way before Princess Twilight, and then, I became cruel and dishonest, turning into a demon, brainwashing an entire school, and attempted to take over Equestria just to get back at her, don't you?" Sunset Shimmer asked. Bianca blinked twice.
"Um, yes?" Bianca responded.
"That's what's been on my mind lately," Sunset Shimmer said.
"Well, if it helps, I don't have a good past, myself. I was an apprentice of an evil sorceress to learn some magic spells and stole eggs from the dragons, trying desperately to bring back magic that has been lost for a thousand years, believing every word she said until she reveals what she really have in mind for the newborn dragons from day one," Bianca said.
"That I already know, but I know where you're going with it," Sunset Shimmer said.
"Just what exactly happened that made Princess Celestia drop you as a student?" Bianca asked. "I would like to know."
Sunset Shimmer sighed, knowing how painful it was to bring up such a painful memory. She bit the bullet and went on with it.
"It's like this. It was a long time ago when I was a filly. I was so fascinated with magic. I was so eager to learn what I can about it. The princess saw I had potential, so she took me under her wing. After a short time, I was learning so much from her. I was even learning about friendship. But all that changed when I was starting to become the pony I now regret to be. I could never forget the things I said to her," Sunset Shimmer explained.
(Flashback, in Princess Celestia's castle)
In those days, Sunset Shimmer was a unicorn orange coat, her cutie mark a red and yellow sun that matched her mane and Shimmer was getting frustrated with Celestia about her teachings of friendship. This was the moment that the lives of the princess of the sun and her pupil would change. They ended up having an argument over what she wanted.
"Sunset, have you forgotten what I have taught you? I took you under my wing as my own personal student and gave you the opportunity to learn about friendship, and this is the thanks I get?" Celestia questioned angrily.
"All you do is try to teach me about friendship! How am I going to get great power if all I do is make friends all the time?" Sunset Shimmer argued.
"There is more to magic than raw power. Star Swirl has taught me and my younger sister in my youth. And he would hope that I have passed his wisdom onto you, Sunset," Celestia said.
"Oh, and what lesson would that be? How to turn horseshoes to gold or how to raise the sun? I heard those old stories so much, my ears are starting to bleed!" Sunset Shimmer exclaimed.
"I'll have you know, young filly, I will not tolerate you disrespecting my old teacher like that!" Celestia said.
"What he was is an old unicorn fart who should have taught you more important magic rather than spread the magic of friendship around! Friendship isn't magic! Power is magic! And I plan on using my power to influence ponies into my way of thinking!" Sunset Shimmer said. The princess of the sun was appalled and shocked to hear what she just said.
"I cannot believe you would say such a thing! What you are suggesting is pure enslavement! That is something no pony deserves to endure! I cannot allow it!" Princess Celestia said.
"And how do you plan to stop me? Do you plan to banish me to the sun like you banished your own sister to the moon?" Sunset Shimmer asked spitefully. Princess Celestia felt a jab in her heart having to be reminded of how she banished her own sister. This was the last straw for her.
"It pains me having to do this to you," Princess Celestia said in a very stern tone. "Sunset Shimmer, as of this very moment, you will no longer have magic lessons from me. I thought you understood the magic of friendship, but it appears I was sadly mistaken. I will ask you to leave here at once."
"You can expel me, but don't think it's the last you have seen of me, princess! I will be back and you will be sorry you ever did!" Sunset said, running off.
(Back to the present)
"It didn't take me long to learn about the Crystal Mirror, and it being a gateway between Equestria and the human world. I became a student of Canterlot High and quickly took over as Fall Formal Princess. I met Princess Twilight shortly after her coronation and tried to steal her crown, which happens to be her Element of Magic. Twilight, along with my Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Fluttershy, and Rainbow Dash used the magic of friendship to snap me out of it after I transformed into a demon. A lot of the students resented me after what I made them go through. Who can blame them? It wasn't easy, but I eventually won over everyone's trust when we defeated the Dazzlings by destroying their magical gems," Sunset Shimmer explained. Bianca was stunned how Celestia just dropped her as a student after that remark about Celestia banishing her own sister to the moon.
"Did you ever patch things up with her?" Bianca asked.
"I did. And to be honest, I was afraid to, because I thought she was going to be very angry at me after what I said to her. If Princess Twilight haven't talked me into coming back to Canterlot, I wouldn't have done so. I didn't expect her to forgive me just like that," Sunset Shimmer said.
"But if Celestia forgave you, then why did you stay there?" Bianca asked.
"Well, somepony had to keep tabs on the Equestrian magic making its way there. I was given a journal to write to her whenever I thought of her or if I needed advice. And that's where the other Twilight came in," Sunset Shimmer said.
"Right. The Twilight in Equestria is a princess while the other Twilight is the brain of the group," Bianca pointed out.
"It felt right having her around since after the Friendship Games," Sunset Shimmer said.
"I'm with you. Princess Twilight sounds like someone I would like to meet," Bianca said.
"Just don't be surprised when she asks you about your magical skills," Sunset Shimmer said. They both share a laugh. Cuphead and Mugman were listening on their talk and they found it hard to believe she's friends with a princess and how a princess just forgave someone just like that.
Over to the dinner party, Yuta and Mirei were sharing some stories about their younger days.
"Dad did that?" Kairi asked, trying not to laugh.
"He did. Your father took a bite of a Tomato Berry and his lips swelled up, making him look like a Jynx!" Mirei said. Yuta did not find that amusing.
"Did you have to bring that up?" Yuta asked, facepalming.
"I'm sorry, honey, it's because it's a very funny story," Mirei said. Everyone was laughing, even Sora.
"You wouldn't be laughing if that happened to you, boy!" Yuta said.
"Unlikely," Sora said, laughing. Ash also laughed along with him.
"Kairi's mom is right, that is funny," Ash said, laughing. Max was laughing just as hard.
"Yeah, well, I should tell you about the time your mother mistook a Voltorb for a beach ball," Yuta said, making Mirei flinch at the memory.
"Don't you dare!" Mirei scolded her husband.
"She did that?" Sora asked.
"She did. We were at the beach years ago and she grabbed a Voltorb, thinking it was a beach ball, which was red and white like a Voltorb and the exact size of a Voltorb. That Voltorb wasn't happy about being picked up and shocked her. Her hair got all frizzled up and she looked like an Exeggutor! It was so funny!" Yuta said, laughing. Mirei was embarrassed and angry at her husband for that embarrassing story, but she knew it was going to make them even.
"I can't tell you the times my husband had gotten into some trouble," Delia said. Delia went into detail about her younger days.
On the very next day, Sora and Kairi got into some training, getting ready for anything coming their way. In the process of their training, Ekans, Koffing, Yamper, Sizzlipede, the Alolan Rattata, Galarian Zigzagoon, Impidimp, Wimpod, Mareanie, Nickit, Clobbopus, Rolycoly, and Yungoos all evolved. Tyrogue had evolved into a Hitmontop.
"Good work, guys!" Sora said.
"Pika, Pika!" Pikachu said.
"Wonder how Kairi is doing," Sora said, looking over to Kairi. Kairi and her Pokémon were working up a sweat, same as Sora and his Pokémon. In the process of training, Elekid, Magby, Smoochum, Wooloo, Hatenna, the Galarian Corsola, the Galarian Mr. Mime, Skwovet, Fomantis, Poliwag, Cleffa, Tyrouge, Machop, Tangela, and the Kantonian and Galarian Ponyta had all evolved. They trained for an hour before they caught themselves a break. "Man, what a work out." Sora took a drink of water from a water bottle.
You said it. We've been training so much, I think I'm starting to get all antsy," Kairi said. "Lately, I've been having Koopas and Kremings in my dream."
"I wasn't going to say anything, but I'm feeling the same way. If only we could just go in an alternate dimension and not worry about bad guys for a change," Sora said. "I'd even settle for a world where everything is dull."
"I feel like we could take a vacation somehwere," Kairi said. Sunset Shimmer came up to the couple.
"Hey, Sora, Kairi, I'm not interrupting anything, am I? If I am I can just come back later and we can forget we ever had this talk," Sunset Shimmer said.
"Don't worry about it, Sunset. We were just taking a break," Sora said.
"What do you want to talk about?" Kairi asked.
"I was just walking by and I couldn't help but overhear that you're talking about a day off from saving the multiverse. So, I thought maybe, we can make a stop in Equestria for a bit," Sunset Shimmer said.
"Equestria?" Sora asked. Sora remembered Sunset Shimmer came from Equestria originally. "What for?"
"Well, I thought maybe, since you know Princess Twilight, I thought we can pop on over in Equestria and pay her a visit. I mean, you're friends with the Princess of Friendship, and she would be tickled Pinkie Pie pink to see you again," Sunset Shimmer said.
"That sounds like a good idea," Kairi said.
"I am wondering how Twilight is doing in Equestria, so why not? And we can see pony Applejack, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, and Pinkie Pie again. And Starlight Glimmer too," Sora said. "And who knows? Maybe, Shining Armor, Cadance, Spike, and those little fillies as well." The couple turned to Sunset Shimmer. "Okay Sunset, we'll take you up on that offer."
"Great!" Sunset Shimmer said. "We can ready when you're ready."
On the very next day, Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, and Sunset Shimmer prepared to head for Equestria. Spyro, Sparx, Hunter, Elora, Bianca, Sheila, Sgt. Byrd, Bentley the Yeti, and Agent 9 were also joining them. Bianca was curious about the magic it has and Spyro was curious about the dragons living there. The rest, assumed it was a mission, but it was a few days of peace. Agent 9 was the most disappointed since he hasn't seen much action since his hand in Hyrule. Sora and Kairi decided to take Grookey, Scorbunny, Sobble, Dreepy, Rookidee, Plusle, Minun, Morpeko, Togetic, and Raichu. The two Pichu were coming along as well. It was dangerous for them to tag along, but since it wasn't an official mission, it was fine.
"Is everyone ready?" Alia asked.
"Ready," Everyone said.
"You sure you don't wanna see it, Alia? It should be interesting," Sunset Shimmer asked.
"I'm sure. Iris would get all envious since it's filled with talking ponies. No offense to you, Sunset," Alia said.
"None taken," Sunset Shimmer said. She turned to the group, ready to take off. "Let's do this thing." A dimensional rift opens as Sunset Shimmer went in first followed by Sora and Kairi. Pikachu, Angel, and Meowth followed after. Spyro, Sparx, Hunter, Elora, Bianca, Shiela, Sgt. Byrd, Bentley the Yeti, and Agent 9 all followed in right after. A dimensional rift opens outside of Ponyville.
"So, this is Equestria," Sora said. Sora looked looked around as did the rest of the group. He spotted an orange unicorn, staring at them with disbelief.
"Sora? Kairi?" Sunset Shimmer asked. "You didn't change?"
"No, why?" Sora asked. His eyes got wide when he saw Sunset in her pony form. "Sunset? That's really you?"
"Yeah. This is the real me. But how come you didn't change into ponies like I did?" Sunset Shimmer asked.
"Are we supposed to?" Sora asked.
"Lillie and Illima didn't mention being ponies when they all ended up in Equestria," Kairi pointed out.
"I think we would have heard what kind of ponies they would be if they did," Sora said.
"Why did you change into a pony and not keep your human form?" Elora asked.
"It's because I was born here in Equestria. I am certain Twilight will be surprised to see you again," Sunset said.
"So, where are we anyway?" Spyro asked. Sunset went through the shrubs and she saw it was Ponyville.
"We all made it to Ponyville. Twilight's castle is right over there," Sunset Shimmer said, pointing to the castle.
"She lives in that?" Hunter asked. Everyone all looked at the cheetah with looks that says "Really?" and "What?"
"We should head on over there and say hi to Twilight," Shiela said. "Besides, any friend of Sora and Kairi are friends of ours."
"Absolutely," Bentley agreed.
"Indeed," Sgt. Byrd added.
"Will there be bad guys to zap?" Agent 9 asked.
"Don't tell me you brought your laser gun with you," Spyro said.
"I sure did," Agent 9 said, holding it out. Sunset uses her magic to take the laser gun out of the monkey's hands and hurls it back through the dimensional rift before it closed. Agent 9 groaned in disappointment.
"We're here to have fun, not zap everything you see," Sunset Shimmer said.
"Fine," Agent 9 pouted. "Party pooper."
"Now, I gotta get you over to the castle without drawing attention to everypony. They might freak out when they see you," Sunset Shimmer said.
"Not a problem. I can cast my invisibility spell on us," Bianca said, waving her magic wand and it made everyone except Sunset Shimmer invisible.
"Hey, it works! I can't see ya guys! I can't even see my own paw," Meowth said.
"I wish I thought of that," Sunset Shimmer said.
"We should hurry on over, because the spell won't last for very long," Bianca said.
"How long does it last exactly?" Spyro asked.
"It might last for half an hour to a whole hour. I was still learning that when I was the Sorcesress's apprentice," Bianca said.
"Okay, let's go," Sora said.
"Pika," Pikachu said.
Sunset Shimmer started to lead the invisible group. As they passed on through, they all saw all sorts of ponies, earth, pegasi, and unicorns going about their daily routines. As they looked around, they how they all looked at the foals, seeing how some of them has a cutie mark and others who didn't. The spell wore off as they reached the castle door.
"That went well," Sgt. Byrd said. Sunset Shimmer knocked on the door.
Inside the castle, Twilight, Spike, Shining Armor, Cadance, Starlight, and Flurry hear the knock.
"Expecting somepony else, Twilight?" Cadance asked.
"Pinkie must have been early on those cupcakes," Twilight said.
"I'll go see who it is," Spike said, answering the door. Twilight was very surprised to see who was at her front door; Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, the Pichu, and Sunset Shimmer as well. "Sora?"
"Hey Spike, it's been a while," Sora said.
"I don't believe it! Sora and Kairi!" Starlight said.
"I can," Cadance said. Flurry looked at the dolls and then over to the real thing. Flurry flew out her carriage and flew over to Sora and Pikachu.
"You must be Flurry Heart. It's nice to finally meet you, Flurry," Sora said. Sora started to tickle her belly. "Cootchie, cootchie, coo!" Flurry laughed as Sora had tickled her.
"I see you're still together," Cadance said.
"Always Cadance," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said. The pink alicorn looked in the direction of the Eevee.
"And who is this?" Cadance asked.
"This is Angel. She's a new addition to our team," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said. Shining Armor looked over to the other visitors.
"And what about them?" Shining Armor asked.
"Right, you haven't been introduced. These are friends of ours from across the multiverse. The dragon is Spyro, the dragonfly is Sparx, the faun is Elora, the rabbit is Bianca, the cheetah is Hunter, the kangaroo is Shiela, the penguin is Sgt. James Byrd, the yeti is Bentley, and the monkey is Agent 9," Sunset Shimmer introduced.
"Ahem! Forgetting about someone?" Meowth asked.
"And this is Meowth," Sunset Shimmer said.
"The top cat of the group," Meowth said.
"Wait a minute. Meowth? As in Team Rocket's Meowth?" Starlight asked.
"He's not with Team Rocket anymore. And there's no more Team Rocket at all," Sora said.
"I can trust you on that, Sora. What's new with you?" Twilight asked.
"And where are Lillie, Illima, and the others?" Cadance asked.
"About that," Sora said. Sora and Kairi told the ponies about their adventures since they parted ways. They started with Sora winning his seventh Johto Gym Badge, catching some more Pokémon, meeting Kairi's parents, dealing with any remaining Ultra Beasts, the Johto Pokémon League, the Alolan nine heading back home to Alola to become Gym Leaders, their experience in the Hoenn region, Sora's Hoenn Gym challenge, Kairi participating in Pokémon Contests, Team Magma, Team Aqua, other trainers like Brendan, May, Lisia, Drew, Harley, and Morrison, why Meowth is traveling with them, the Hoenn Pokémon League, meeting other beings from different dimensions, finally defeating Team Rocket, and their inter dimensional experience. "And that's pretty much it."
"Wow, sounds like you've been through a lot," Starlight said.
"And it's no surprise to hear Sora has won two more Pokémon Leagues. Those Fairy Tail wizards, the turtles, and April would be happy to hear that," Shining Armor said.
"I can just imagine their surprise," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Pichu," the Shiny Pichu said.
"Pichu!" The spiky-eared Pichu said.
"And we're taking some time off from saving the multiverse for a day to spend it here in Equestria," Sora said.
"I know everyone else would be thrilled to see us," Kairi said.
"Yeah, they would. But how did you endure the stares?" Spike asked.
"We were invisible," Spyro said as Sparx buzzed in.
"Bianca's magic here," Hunter said.
"I didn't want to draw unwanted attention from everypony," Sunset Shimmer said.
"I understand. I think I can help you out with that," Twilight said.
"How?" Sora asked.
"Yeah, Twilight. What do you have in mind?" Starlight asked.
"Remember when I told you about the time I used a transformation spell to turn me, Applejack, Pinkie, Fluttershy, Rarity, and Rainbow Dash into Breezies?" Twilight asked.
Starlight nodded, "Yes."
"I can turn Sora and Kairi into ponies," Twilight said.
"Right. That way, Sora and Kairi won't stick out like sore thumbs," Sunset Shimmer said. Twilight, Starlight, Shining Armor, and Cadance looked her dumbfounded. "That's a human expression.
"You can do that?" Kairi asked.
"Of course. I just need to concentrate," Twilight said, building up magic in her horn. She cast the spell onto Sora and Kairi, transforming them. She ceased the spell when the transformation was complete. Sora was now a light tan pegasus with his mane and tail being brown and spiky. He was missing his pants as his cutie mark matched his crown necklace. Kairi had been transformed into a pink unicorn with her mane and tail being her auburn red hair. Her cutie mark is a ruby heart surrounded by flowers. The couple had the same shape in their eyes and round muzzles. Spyro, Sparx, Hunter, Elora, Bianca, Shiela, Sgt. Byrd, Bentley, Agent 9, and the Pokémon were shocked and amazed to see them turned into ponies.
"Did it work?" Sora asked.
"Pikachu?" Pikachu asked. The newly transformed pegasus turned to his partner. He saw Pikachu was looking at him funny. "Pika, Pi."
"Why are you staring at me funny?" Sora asked. "Do I have something on my face?"
"You could say that, Sora," Meowth said. He turned to his girlfriend and she turned to him and they both gasp in shock and surprise.
"WHOA!" Sora and Kairi exclaimed. "We're ponies!" They checked out their features. Sora saw he had wings.
"Sora, you got wings!" Kairi said.
"And you got a horn, Kairi," Sora said.
"A horn?" Kairi asked. She placed a hoof on her horn and felt it. "You're right, I do have a horn!" She looked at Sora's cutie mark. "And look at that. It's like your necklace!" Sora looked at the cutie mark. He knew she was right, because it was his crown necklace.
"Whoa," Sora said. "And yours is a heart." She looked at hers. The couple looked at the lavender alicorn. "That was some spell."
"Thanks. Comes in handy when somepony needs it. And you won't worry about drawing attention," Twilight said.
"Hey Bianca, how come you or Sunset didn't just turn Sora and Kairi into ponies and save us the trouble of wondering around like ghosts?" Agent 9 asked.
"That kind of spell seemed different than the one I tried before," Bianca said.
"Also, I never learned it. Princess Celestia never taught it to me," Sunset Shimmer said.
"I have got to tell you, Sora, you are really cute as a pony," Kairi said.
"Right back at you, Kairi," Sora said.
"I wish I had a life-sized plushie toy of you, because I want to keep it and cuddle it forever," Kairi said, making Sora blush.
"Kairi, you can use magic just like unicorns can. How about you give it a try," Twilight suggested.
"Okay," Kairi said. She thought for a moment and then her horn gave off a white aura and it levitated her Pokéballs and Pokémon Box. She practiced a bit with a small juggle. "This is kinda easy."
"That was very good, Kairi," Cadance said. She turned to Sora. "Okay, how about you try to fly."
"I wondered what it'll be like to fly like a Pidgey," Sora said. He stuck his wings out and started flapping them. He lifts off the ground and starts going up. "Hey, I'm flying! I'm literally flying!" He starts moving, but he loses control pretty fast. "Hey! Kairi, stop this crazy thing!" He crashed into a wall and slides down. He falls right in his back as several small Pikachu ran across his head. Flurry laughed at the funny face he was making. Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, Spyro, and Elora went over to the pegasus with concern.
"Are you okay, Sora?" Kairi asked with concern.
"Ugh, the sky is falling, the sky is falling," Sora said in a daze.
"He's fine," Meowth said. Sora shook it off and he practiced a bit and he crashed against the wall, but he eventually he got a hang of it.
"I heard of a crash course, but it would have been too literal," Sora said. He got up on his hooves. "When you think it's hard to walk on four legs, flying's no walk in the park till you get the hang of it."
"Funny, I manged just fine," Kairi said. "Just wait until your mom gets a look at you."
"The same can be said for your mom and grandma, Kairi," Sora said. "And I bet the other Pokémon would be just as surprised to see us."
"Funny you should bring that up. Did you bring any others with you?" Twilight asked. Kairi used her unicorn magic to levitate her Pokéballs.
"Sure we have," Kairi said. Sora was having trouble holding his Pokéballs because of his hooves, but decided to use his wings for this once.
"Here we go," Sora said, holding the Pokéballs in his pegasus wings. He tossed them up into the air. "Come on out, everyone!" Grookey, Scorbunny, Sobble, Rookidee, and Dreepy all came out. Kairi did the same thing.
"Time to come on out!" Kairi called out. Plusle, Minun, Raichu, Morpeko, and Togetic all come out. "You already know Raichu. Togepi evolved into a Togetic. These three are my other new Pokémon; Plusle, Minun, and Morpeko."
"And these five are some of the new ones I caught in the Galar region. Meet Grookey, Scorbunny, Sobble, Rookidee, and Dreepy," Sora said. The Pokémon all looked at their trainers and were stunned to see they were turned into ponies. "Yeah, it's us, guys."
"Pikachu," Pikachu assured the other Pokémon.
"Pikachu," Flurry said, giving the mouse Pokémon a hug. Pikachu hugged the baby alicorn back.
"Flurry Heart likes you, Pikachu," Sora said.
"I think Pikachu likes Flurry, too," Kairi said. Angel, the Pichu, Grookey, Sobble, Plusle, Minun, and Morpeko went up to the baby alicorn as Scorbunny nuzzled up to Bianca.
"Here we go again," Sora groaned.
"So, Scorbunny has a crush on Bianca, huh?" Cadance asked.
"Ever since we met them," Sora said.
"And Bianca's my girlfriend," Hunter said. Cadance could tell there was love between them. She looked over to Spyro and Elora and noticed how close they are.
"So, hw about we show you around Ponyville. We can start with Sweet Apple Acres. Applejack and Apple Bloom should be there already," Twilight said.
"I need to stretch my pony legs anyway," Sora said.
"Me too. And I know the Pokémon would like to see Ponyville," Kairi said. The Pokémon all agreed with Kairi and they went off with their trainers. The group started to make their way to Sweet Apple Acres. Chinchou jumped out of the water and followed the group.
The group made their way to the farm and saw the vast apple trees. Pikachu's mouth started to water at the sight of the apples. He wanted to eat as many as possible. Sora had to keep him under control. Yanma was swiping some apples from the trees, but it has not escaped Pikachu's notice. Angel and Meowth noticed as well.
"Pika?" Pikachu asked.
"I heard it too, Pikachu," Meowth said.
Upon arriving at the farm, Big Mac was pulling a huge wagon full of apples. Big Mac turned to see the the group.
"Hey Big Mac. I brought some visitors. Is Applejack here?" Twilight asked.
"Eyup," Big Mac said, pointing to the orchard. The group went off to the apple orchard to find Applejack kicking the apple trees.
"What's she doing?" Spyro asked.
"She's just doing some apple bucking. That's how the Apple family gets the apples down from the trees," Twilight said.
"She must have a pretty strong kick," Shiela said. said.
"She does," Starlight said.
Applejack saw the ponies, Pokémon, dragons, dragonfly, cheetah, rabbit, faun, kangaroo, penguin, yeti, and monkey in front of her.
"Howdy, Twilight. Just got these chores to finish up before Pinkie Pie's party," Applejack said. She looked over to Sora and Kairi funny. "Ya'll look kinda familiar. I could have sworn I've ya before."
"Gee, Applejack, I know you and you know me," Sora said.
"Sora? I thought ya looked familiar," Applejack said. She turned to the pink unicorn. "And that's Kairi, right?"
"Hi Applejack," Kairi said.
"The last time I saw ya, you were well, human," Applejack said.
"I lend a hoof on the matter," Twilight said.
"And I brought them here," Sunset Shimmer said.
"How do ya know each other?" Applejack asked.
"Long story," Kairi siad.
"A very long story," Sgt. Byrd said.
"Ah would like to talk, but I have been Ah've been having some trouble in my orchard," Applejack said.
"You mean, you don't know what's going on?" Twilight asked.
"Nope," Applejack said.
"What exactly is going on?" Sora asked.
"Something is going around and taking the apples from the trees. Ah have no idea who or what's been taking them," Applejack said.
"Any idea on how to tackle it?" Hunter asked.
"If Ah did, then Ah still wouldn't be having this problem. Ah thought it was those pesky fruit bats at first, but Ah found out it wasn't them," Applejack said.
"Maybe I can see what I can see," Sgt. Byrd said, flapping his flippers. He lifted himself off the ground.
"Penguins can't fly!" Twilight said.
"He can," Spyro said. Sgt. Byrd looked around and saw Yanma eating the apples and went back to inform Sora and the others.
"What did you see, Sgt. Byrd?" Sora asked.
"I saw what looks like a giant dragonfly eating some of the stolen apples. It's up in the trees as we speak," Sgt. Byrd said.
"Giant dragonfly?" Sora asked. Pikachu ran up the trees to find out what it was before Sora could say anything else. Pikachu jumped from tree to tree as Sora used his pegasus wings to fly. "I can get used to this!" He flew to see the dragonfly-like Pokémon in the tree. "What the? A Yamna! How did a Yanma get here?" Sora remembered the dimensional rifts opening up and figured Yanma had wondered through one. "Right. Those." Pikachu reached Yanma and gave the clear wing Pokémon a shock. Yanma flew out of the orchard and started to fly away. Sora chased after it. "Stop right there, Yanma!"
"Yan, Yan!" Yanma said.
The group can hear the sound of buzzing through the trees as Yanma flew above them.
"Yanma?" Kairi asked. Yanma landed on Bentley's head and looked around.
"What in the tarnation is that?" Applejack asked.
"It's a Yanma," Kairi said. "Yanma is a Bug and Flying Type Pokémon. And it's a boy."
"Ya mean a Pokémon was the culprit behind stealing mah family's apples?" Applejack asked.
"It looks like it," Spyro said. Sora landed back as Pikachu jumped right on Sora's back. Yanma fluttered off of Bentley's head and started to come at Pikachu with a Wing Attack. Pikachu jumped off and struck Sora instead.
"Sora!" Kairi gasped.
"I'm okay, Kairi," Sora assured his girlfriend. He got back up and gave the order. "Pikachu! Thunderbolt!" Pikachu fired Thunderbolt right at Yanma. Yanma's glow light blue and he dodges Thunderbolt.
"What was that?" Starlight asked.
"How did it dodge?" Shining Armor asked.
"That was Yanma's Detect. It allows the user to evade an attack when in succession," Kairi said.
"Quick Attack!" Sora ordered. Pikachu jumped to land a hit onto Yanma, but Yanma flapped his wings and creates a large red waves to counter Pikachu's attack. Pikachu was pushed back. Yanma ceased Bug Buzz and moved in with Wing Attack. Pikachu jumped onto Yanma's back. "Thunderbolt!" Pikachu gave Yanma a strong shock and Yanma came right down. Pikachu got off of Yanma, leaving the dragonfly-like Pokémon beaten. Yanma got back up. "Okay, Yanma. Why steal Applejack's apples?"
"Yan, Yan, Yan, Yanma, Yanma, ma, ma, ma," Yanma said.
"What was Yanma saying?" Kairi asked.
"Yanma is saying he was flying around, minding his own business when a weird hole opened up and ended up here. And the reason for the apple stealing is because he was hungry," Meowth translated. Yanma turned to Applejack and lowered his head in regret.
"Yan, Yan," Yanma said.
"Let me guess, sorry, right?" Sora asked.
"Yep," Meowth said. Sora looked over to Yanma. "How about you like to come with us for a while?"
"Yan!" Yanma said. Yanma flew on Sora's head.
"I can take that for a yes," Sora said. Hd turned to the apple pony. "Applejack, have you been seeing other creatures other than Yanma?"
"Well, since ya mentioned it, there's a pink thing with a pretty long tongue," Applejack said.
"Long tongue?" Sora asked. He thought for a moment and figured it was either a Lickitung or a Lickilicki. Sora was about to ask some more about the strange creature when Lickitung came out with some apple pies on a stack. "I think I got my answer."
"You mean that's a Pokémon too?" Starlight asked.
"Yeah. That Pokémon is a Lickitung. Lickitung is known as the Licking Pokémon and and it's a Normal Type Pokémon," Sora said. "Lickitung uses that tongue to get a taste for certain foods and doesn't like sour food."
"How did you meet Lickitung?" Kairi asked.
"I can answer that," Sugar Belle spoke up. "I caught this one trying to get a taste of the apple pies. I thought it was cute."
"Licki," Lickitung licked Sugar Belle, making her laugh. Lickitung gave Twilight and Starlight a lick on the faces.
"Maybe, we should continue on the tour," Spyro said. Sparx buzzed in agreed. Lickitung looked at Pikachu, Angel, the Pichu, and Meowth as the group went off see the rest of Ponyville. Lickitung knew they were Pokémon when it saw them. Lickitung looked at Sugar Belle and then back to the group. The licking Pokémon wanted to go right with them. Sugar Belle placed her hoof on Lickitung's shoulder.
"Go with them," Sugar Belle said. Lickitung smiled and followed them. Chinchou showed up in front of the group.
"A Chinchou?" Kairi said.
"Another Pokémon?" Starlight asked.
"Yes. An Water and Electric Type Pokémon," Kairi said. "Would you like to come with us?" Chinchou nodded as Chinchou joined the group. Lickitung showed up right up to the group.
Sora, Kairi, Spyro, Sparx, Hunter, Elora, Bianca, Shiela, Sgt. Byrd, Bentley the Yeti, Agent 9, the ponies, and the Pokémon continued on the tour of Ponyville. As they continued on their tour, they bumped into Wobbufett.
"Wobbufett," Wobbufett said.
"Wobbufett," Sora said. "Another lost Pokémon in Ponyville."
"Fett," Wobbufett said.
Wobbufett joined the group knowing of the Pokémon with them. Ditto saw the group and followed the group. Paras saw the group and also followed the group. As the group saw the sights of Ponyville, Stantler saw the other Pokémon and got curious and started to follow them. Sora and Kairi noticed how their numbers were going up.
"Paras, Ditto, and Stantler? Just how Pokémon ended up in Equestria?" Sora asked. Murkrow was sitting on a branch nearby and eyed Sora's necklace. Murkrow took a liking to the necklace because it's so shiny. The crow-like Pokémon flew down to swipe it from Sora. Rookidee saw Murkrow and attempted to stop it, but Murkrow dodged Rookidee and successfully took Sora's necklace. "Hey! My necklace!" Sora saw Murkrow with his necklace. "Hey! Get back here, you thief!" Sora flew after it. Sgt. Byrd, Sparx, Rookidee, and Yanma flew after it. Murkrow flew all over Ponyville with the dragonfly, flying penguin, and the flying Pokémon flew after the crow-like Pokémon. Fluttershy was taking a walk with Wooper riding on the yellow pegasus's back.
"Wooper!" Wooper said.
"What's wrong?" Fluttershy asked, when she saw Murkrow being chased by Sora, Sparx, Sgt. Byrd, and Yanma. "Oh my!"
Murkrow kept trying to lose the flyers as Rainbow Dash flew up to Sora.
"Hey there! Are having a race? On your marks, get set, GO!" Rainbow Dash flew off ahead of them. Murkrow flew right at Carousel Boutique as Rarity was receiving a delivery on the fabrics she ordered when Murkrow flew over her.
"What in the world?" Rarity asked as Sparx, Sgt. Byrd, and Yanma flew by her. The flyers flew over Pinkie Pie and Drowzee when she saw Sora flying over her head. She jumped to Sora's level on a trampoline.
"Hi Sora! Hi flying penguin! Hi birdy! Hi dragonflies" Pinkie Pie greeted. She kept jumping as the chase continued on. Murkrow was getting annoyed by the chase and fired Night Shade right at them. Rookiedee flew and his beak glows white and it hits Murkrow and takes back the necklace. Murkrow falls straight down to the ground. Fluttershy suddenly took the darkness Pokémon in her forelegs as she flew.
"Are you okay?" Fluttershy asked.
"Krow," Murkrow said.
Sora flew down to the yellow pegasus and glared at Murkrow.
"You have something that's mine," Sora said. Murkrow refused to give back the necklace.
"Krow, Murkrow, krow!" Murkrow said.
"Translation, Meowth?" Spyro asked.
"Murkrow just said, 'No! Shiny mine!'" Meowth translated. "Those birds are greedy hoarders!"
"Why's that?" Sunset Shimmer asked.
"I heard Murkrow and Meowth don't like each other, because they're always fighting over shiny objects. That was why he took Sora's necklace," Kairi said.
"I want my necklace back!" Sora demanded.
"Krow!" Murkrow defied. Murkrow refused to give back the necklace as Fluttershy placed her hoof down.
"That's enough! You should be ashamed of yourself! You shouldn't be taking things that don't belong to you! You give him back his necklace, this instant!" Fluttershy said, giving Murkrow her stare. The darkness Pokémon gave the necklace back to Sora as he puts it back on. "That's a good birdy. Now say you're sorry."
"Krow," Murkrow said.
"Much better. Thanks Fluttershy," Sora said.
"You're very welcome," Fluttershy beamed. She flinched when she heard the younger pegasus say her name. "Wait! How do you know my name?"
"We met before," Sora said.
"We have?" Fluttershy asked. Before she could ask how they met, Pikachu ran up to Sora.
"Pika!" Pikachu said, jumping onto Sora's back.
"Pikachu? Is that you?" Fluttershy asked.
"Pikachu!" Pikachu said.
"It's been a while, Fluttershy," Sora said. She looked at the pegasus colt and took a few seconds to figure it out.
"Sora?" Fluttershy asked. Sora nodded to confirm it. "If you're here, does that mean Kairi's here too?"
"It does," Kairi said, walking up to the yellow pegasus. "And it's good to see you."
"Eevee!" Angel said.
"Kairi! I don't believe it!" Fluttershy said. She looked at the Eevee at her side. "And who's this?"
"This is Angel. She's an Eevee," Kairi introduced.
"Eevee, vee!" Angel said.
"It's nice to meet you, Angel. I have a bunny named Angel. Oh, I'm sure you and him will get along well," Fluttershy said.
"Wooper!" Wooper said, catching up to Fluttershy.
"A Wooper?" Kairi asked.
"Woop," Wooper said.
Sora and Kairi explained to Fluttershy about Pokémon coming through dimensional rifts. So far, they caught a Steelix, Graveler, Octillery, Magnemite, Nosepass, Drampa, Mantine, Qwilfish, and Komala. Fluttershy didn't like how there are lost Pokémon from their homes. But she was happy to hear Sora and Kairi were on the job. Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Applejack, the Cutie Mark Crusaders, Drowzee, and Snubbull came to see what the commotion was about.
"What's going on here?" Rainbow Dash asked. The Crusaders looked right at Pikachu with the pegasus colt.
"Is that Pikachu?" Apple Bloom asked.
"And if that's Pikachu, then that has to be..." Scootaloo said.
"Sora!" Sweetie Belle said.
"Yeah, it's me, girls!" Sora said.
"It's been a while, girls," Kairi said, rubbing their little heads with her hooves.
"Sora? I didn't recognize you as a pony. I thought you were having a race," Rainbow Dash said.
"I certainly didn't know it was you either," Rarity said.
"I did! I did!" Pinkie Pie said.
"Drowzee!" Drowzee said.
"Snubbull, bull, bull!" Snubbull said.
"So, Murkrow, where did you place your treasures?" Sora asked. Murkrow didn't want to go through the stare again. Murkrow led the group to his nest. Murkrow took out all the shiny objects. Pinkie Pie went around to the ponies Murkrow stole from. That one mare whom the Cutie Crusaders called Spoiled Rich got her necklace back.
"No hard feelings?" Fluttershy asked, sheepishly.
"Hmph!" Spoiled Rich huffed.
"At least nothing else happened," Sora said.
"Anyway, now the shiny objects are back, how about we head for Sugarcube Corner? You must be hungry after all that excitement," Twilight said.
"Sure thing, Twilight," Sora said. The group made their way to Sugarcube Corner for some treats. Everyone all went inside to the tasty sweets provided by the bakers, Mr. and Mrs. Cake. Kairi took a shine to the baby ponies as the rest of the group were having a good time with each other. Elora sat next to Spyro, grabbing Cadance's notice. The Pokémon were enjoying the sweets as well.
Night came in Equestria as the ponies were turning in for the night. Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, Spyro, Sparx, Hunter, Elora, Bianca, Shiela, Sgt. Byrd, Bentley, Agent 9, and all of the other Pokémon were sleeping soundly in the Castle of Friendship. Elora woke up and decided to take a little walk. She went into the throne room and saw the map table there. She was amazed by how it had the map of the entire kingdom.
"Can't sleep, huh?" Cadance asked. Elora turned to see the pink alicorn.
"I needed to walk and think," Elora said.
"Think about what?" Cadance ased.
"Stuff," Elora said.
"I see," Cadance said as she understood. "Your minds on Spyro, huh?" Elora winced and she looked at Cadance with a smirk on her face.
"I don't know what you mean. Spyro and I are friends," Elora denied.
"Elora, I'm the Princess of Love. I know love when I see it. I knew about the love between Sora and Kairi when I first met them. And I see on you," Cadance said. Elora started to blush when she thought about Spyro.
"Yes, I do have feelings for Spyro. I don't know why, but my heart beats faster than a drum when I'm around him," Elora admitted.
"Does Spyro know?" Cadance asked.
"No, but I know about his feelings for me," Spyro said.
"How do you know, Elora?" Cadancce asked.
"I heard him talking once. I want to tell him, but I don't know how to do it," Elora said.
"You should just tell him when you're ready. When I heard about how Sora saved Kairi's life when they met, I was impressed by how Sora is helpful," Cadance said.
"You think I have a shot with Spyro?" Elora asked.
"That's up to you, Elora. When you feel it's right, you can let it out," Cadance said. Elora looked at Cadance and smiled at her.
"Thanks," Elora said.
"Anytime," Cadance said. Elora started to head back to the room she was staying in while Cadance went to the room she was sharing with her husband and daughter. Once Elroa returned to her room, she looked at the sleeping dragon and gave him a kiss on the cheek. "Good night, Spyro." Elora fell right to sleep.
Elsewhere in Equestria, a dimensional rift opens up as Gnasty Gnorc, Ripto, the Sorceress, Crush, and Gulp all exited through.
"Looks like a good place to conquer," Ripto said.
"Sure is, Ripto. We shouldn't have any trouble, taking control once we overthrow whoever is in charge here," Gnasty Gnorc said.
"My thoughts exactly, Gnasty. With the three of us together, we will have no problem taking over," the Sorcress said.
The three villains along with Crush and Gulp have entered Equestria. What plan do these three have in store? Let's hope for the best that Sora, Spyro, and their other friends will be there to stop them.
