A/N: These are some small scenes that should have made it into Warrior

Drabble 16: When you turn off the lights, I get stars in my eyes

Tyson crossed the floor of the training room, his footsteps echoing softly in the dark.

Kai stood facing the tall windows. He looked...lonely. So lonely.

Dranzer was gone.

His blade was in smithereens.

Tyson's heart ached for him.

He reached a hand forward to touch his shoulder. Gingerly.

His skin was cold.

Kai tensed under his palm.

"Are you okay?" Tyson asked quietly.

He felt him tense some more. As if his voice was causing Kai more pain.

Tyson took his hand away, sensing his discomfort.

"I saw what happened. I'm so sorry." He stared at the back of Kai's head. His form silhouetted in the muted glow of the city lights below. "Do you…" he took a breath to gather courage, licking his lips, "Do you want to talk about it?"

He saw Kai's fists clench. His shoulders quiver like he was holding too much inside of himself. Like he was inexpressibly angry.

Tyson understood the feeling. Losing dragoon always felt like falling into a deep pit of despair. Kai was probably at the bottom of that fathomless pit.

He sensed tears sting at the backs of his eyes.

"Kai-" he spoke again, trying to find the right words to console him. He went speechless when Kai suddenly turned around.

There was cold fury in his eyes. He was mad. At him.

Tyson didn't understand. What did he do?

He backed a step, instinctively. Kai's hand shot out to grab a fistful of his shirt at his chest, stopping him from moving away any further.

Tyson's heart thundered. He closed his fingers around Kai's wrist. "Kai?" he said, shaken, confused. Not knowing what he was going to do.

His feet slipped haltingly across the floor as Kai dragged him forward by his shirt. Toward himself.

Tyson tried to pry his grip away using both his hands. He stared helplessly into Kai's eyes. What is he doing? "What are you-"

Kai pulled him all the way in. Till he was close enough to smell his breath. Till he was shielded from the light through the windows by his shadow.

Till all he could see was Kai's face. Shrouded in the darkness.

He held his breath. He stopped fighting.

Kai watched his face for a moment, then tilted his head all of a sudden fitting his mouth firmly against Tyson's.

His eyes fell closed as his heart exploded inside of him. What was happening? Why was he kissing him?

Kai was kissing him.

It was a rough kiss. His mouth punishing and bruising upon his. His teeth bit, his lips sucked brutally, his hands closed around his face and forced his mouth open. His tongue dipping into explore him.

Tyson felt his knees go jelly. He made fists in Kai's shirt to hold onto him as he backed him into a wall and continued to ravage him. Unkindly. Mercilessly.

His chin pressed into his. His hips pressed into his.

Was this love?

Kai moved even closer to him. Into him.

Was this love?

What are you doing to me?

Kai braced a hand against the side of Tyson's head. Tilting him as he pleased. To feel more. To take more.

He was going to fall. His heart was melting inside of him.

Kai was doing things to him and he didn't know what to do with it.

He stopped after a while. Pulling away from Tyson. Panting heavily. His hand was on his waist, supporting him.

Tyson blinked at him, trying to come back from where he'd gone. Where he'd been taken.

He took his hand away. Tyson sagged against the wall. "Was that enough?" Kai asked him, voice ragged. "Wasn't that what you wanted?"

His brows knitted together in confusion. What did he mean if it was enough? Why did he kiss him?

"I'll show you exactly how you can make my sickest fantasies come true," Kai breathed against his lips, venomously, threateningly. He walked away with that. Leaving Tyson a mess behind him. He slid down the wall, till he was sitting with his back on it.

Lost

His lips were on his cheek. A little beneath his eye.

His thumb on the slope of his jaw.

Tyson shifted his feet on the bed. His hand on Kai's right bicep.

"I missed you last night," he told him. Gaze on the ceiling as Kai kissed down his face. "I went to the training room looking for you. You weren't there." His fingers shifted around his chin. "Where were you?"

He didn't get an answer in return.

He waited for a while, patiently, smiling when his mouth descended to his neck.

Kai's hands left his face to slip down his torso. Along his arms. To his jeans.

Tyson gasped. He forgot his question.

He never got an answer.

"You don't do this with anyone else, do you?"

"Why do you wanna know?"

"I…want to."

Kai captured his lips in a searing kiss. Goosebumps erupted across his body. His hips were on his. He could feel him through the fabric of both of their pants.

"No" he said, in a whisper.

"No?" Tyson reared his head back to look at him.

Kai had an unreadable expression on his face. His eyes liquid black. He shook his head.

Tyson pulled him down for another kiss.

He took his shirt off. He was on his lap. Rocking back and forth.

Kai's forehead was against his. Slick with sweat.

Tyson's hands were in his hair. Clutching. As they moved together.

Their moans and sighs filled the room. Heating up the place.

Kai's lips grazed his ear. His arms bracketing Tyson's hips.

"You feel so good," he whispered, the words pulled from somewhere deep within him.

Tyson's head dropped back. Mouth falling open. Fingers knotted together behind Kai's neck.

"I love you" he said to him, hugging him, arms around his hot, slick shoulders. "I love you"

He sneered at him in front of the others. The G-Revs and the Blitzkriegs. "You may be sixteen but you have the mental maturity of a five year old."

Tyson balled his fists. How could he look into his eyes and speak so rudely? "At least I never betray my friends," he tossed back, just as venomously. "At least I won't ever not amount to anything."

It was hurting him. It was hurting them both. Please stop.

"Tyson!" Hilary admonished him.

Kai's veins stuck out when he dug his nails into his palms. His knuckles whitening.

It lodged splinters into Tyson's heart.

"I didn't mean it," Tyson kissed the hurt away later, hands cupping Kai's jaw. "I didn't mean any of it."

The curtains were drawn. Lights off. As always.

Kai pulled him in till their ribs touched.

"I love you" He pressed his lips hard against Kai's. Eyes scrunched shut. Stop hurting. Stop hurting. I love you. I love you. "All my trophies are yours too. All of them."

"No" His heart was fluttering under his palm. Quick. Soft. Like a butterfly. "No, they're not."

"They are" He scooted forward in his lap. They were nose to nose. "I'd give them all up for you."

Kai's bottom lip brushed his. "I never want you to give them away."

"Then what do you want?" A tear slid down his cheek onto Kai's chest. His hand was on his naked back.

Kai bit into Tyson's lower lip. It hurt. He closed his eyes, soaking it up like pleasure. He rolled the soft flesh between his teeth. Slowly. Painfully. Tyson thrusted his hip forward. Nails scratching on his shoulders. "I want to forget."

"Forget what?"

Kai pulled him down on the bed. Nudging Tyson's thighs around him. "Everything"

"Everything?" Tyson looked up at him. He could see a vague outline of him in the dark. "Even this?"

Kai kissed him. Lips quivering as his silent tears wet Tyson's lashes. "Especially this"
