Chapter 2: Hero's Journey

"Congratulations, Bell-chan", said Hestia with a proud smile. "You finally have a skill. But it bugs me that you got this from admiring someone else", she said quietly and pouting. But she then looked the cheerful Bell brushing her teeth. Bell... You've become such a beautiful person... In form and spirit...

The next morning...

Bell sleeps on the coach, next-to the empty bed of the goddess. As Bell opened her deep crimson eyes, she saw Hestia snuggled against her breasts, sleeping.

Bell looked at her calmly and said, "Not this again Hestia", and then carefully exited the coach and put on her clothes. "I'm off Goddess."

And as Hestia calmly slept, Bell was walking through the city. "Geez... Maybe she was still half asleep."

Sudenly she felt a slight creep up her back, as if someone had looked at her from behind. She quickly looked back, trying to find the one looking at her, but saw no-one. "What was that?"

"Um...", ?

Bell turned back around to a woman looking at her closely.

"O-Oh! Oh.. I'm sorry. Do you need something", Bell asked.

"Um... You dropped this", the woman said as she handed over a small magic crystal.

"A magic stone", Bell said as she lifted it to look at it closer. "I thought I traded them all yesterday... Excuse me! Thank you very much", Bell said, bowing.

And as Bell put the stone into her pocket, "Are you an adventurer", asked the woman. "You're so pretty. And you're going to the dungeon this early?"

"Yeah... I guess", she replied before her stomach began to rumbled. The woman then gave her a small lunch box.

"It's not much, but...", she said with a smile.

"I couldn't though... I can't take the lunch of someone I've never met before. And Isn't this your breakfast", asked Bell.

"Don't worry about it. There'll be something for me to eat once the pub opens", the woman said as she looked at the building behind her.

"B-But..."

"In exchange... Make sure you come eat here tonight! It's a promise", the woman said. "Is that not okay?"

"O-Okay...", Bell said with a nervous smile while the woman came closer to her face.

"Thank you."

Cut to Bell fighting monsters in the dungeons...

Bell jumping out of the way of the monsters attacks and cutting the monsters neck as her white hair flows and gets partially stained in blood. And as the last monster drops a magic gem, she looks a bit surprised.

I was never THAT fast, right?

During the fight she felt like a rush of energy had filled her up. She chalked it up to just be adrenaline. She then walked up tp the gem and put it into her bag.

"How long would I have to do this to catch up to Aiz-san? Eina-san tells me it's important to learn the basics, but... Huh, an itemdrop", she said as she looked at a small tooth like object the monster had dropped. "Lucky me", as she said this she looked back as she heard ground breaking behind her, seeing more monsters began dropping out of the walls of the dungeon. She readied her blade with a worried look.

"There's so many", she said as she got ready to fight. "I should run, but... I won't ever catch up to her if I don't fight!"

And so she ran into the swarm of monster with glee on her face. And as the day began to set, she was walking back to the church to check her progress for the day.

"G-Goddess... Are you sure this is correct", Bell loudly asked while holding a peace of paper that had her status. "My ability score has gone up over a total of 160 points! And look! I only got hit once by a monster and my vitality went up by 30 points", she proudly said as she looked at Hestia. "Same with my strength and dexterity, too! This has never happened before."

Hestia then stood up and turned to look at the nearly naked Bell.

"Um... Well... So... Why DID I grow so quickly", Bell asked with a nervous smile.

"Sadly... I don't know...", Hestia said as she put on a coat and opened the door to upstairs.

"So... Where are you going Goddess", said Bell while pulling the bed covers to cover her chest as her hair flowed down her chest.

"A-A party with my co-workers", Hestia said with a nervous tone. "Go have fun while you're young!"

"Goddess", Bell said while standing up and dropping the bed cover and clutching the status-paper. And somewhere outside, on top of a pillar beside a starlight lake, sat Hestia.

"Bell-chan... I can't believe she grew so much just because of that skill. Do people really admire her more than a goddess..."

"Cheers", yelled a group of people as they were served beer. The pub was filled with people gawking at the waitresses.

"The Benevolent Mistress...", Bell raid off the sign above the door of the pub.

"Hey! You're that adventurer", the woman said as she walked down to meet Bell. "You came!"

"Yes..."

"I haven't introduced myself. My name is Syr Flover."

A moment later...

A mass of food was placed in-front of Bell by a woman with a gleeful smile.

"So you're Syr's friend. You really are cute for an adventurer", the woman said as a bunch of male adventurers then gawked at Bell.

"T-Thanks...", Bell said with an awkward smile. "Wait... This is 300 valis and the drink is 200 valis... Thanks to that drop item I have 4400 valis, but I really need to save money for the Familia", and then another meal gets placed in-front of Bell.

"It's not enough right", the woman asks. "It's today's special."

"I didn't order this!"

"Don't hold back, you're still young."

"Today's special...", Bell searched the menu. "IS 850 VALIS?!"

"Well... Are you having fun", Syr asked.

"I'm a little overwhelmed..."

Syr gave a giggle, "Sorry. It looks like I'll get paid a lot tonight."

"Good for you...", Bell said as she put some of the food in her mouth.

"Isn't it great how many different kinds of people gather here? When there's so many people, there's so much to discover... I can't help but smile. You could say my job is meeting new people... It makes my heart pound."

"That's a pretty amazing thing to say", Bell said deadpanned while eating spaghetti.

"Nya! The customers with reservations have arrived", a brown-haired cat-girl yelled as she directed her hand to the people arriving.

And so the big group of people arrived into the pub, lead by a man? Woman? Androginess? Person. And in the middle of the group walked-

AIZ-SAN!, Bell thought as her food dropped from her mouth.

"Man she's gorgeous."

"Don't you see that emblem."

"Hey isn't that the Loki Familia."

"Wait... The giant killing Familia?"

"Wait she's the Sword Princess!"

"Bell-chan, Bell'chan...", Syr said as she waved her hand infront of Bell's face.

And as the Loki Familia partied, Syr was finally able to get Bell's attention. "The Loki Familia are regular customers. Aparenttly their goddess Loki-san really likes this place."

Then if I come here... I might be able to meet Aiz-san more often!

And after the partie went on a bit further...

"Hey remember when we chased those minotaurs on the fifth floor. You took the out the one that escaped", a man with wolf a wolf tail and ears. "And you remember that cute tomato who was there."

Bell got shocked. "She was obviously a newbie adventurer who just started adventuring got chased by one of the minotaurs got away from us. It's stinky blood got all over her when Aiz cleaved it in two. And she looked like a bright-red tomato. So damn cute", the man said as the rest of the partiers laughed. "And get this! She apparently ran out the dungeon screaming. And she got rescued by the princes and ran of screaming. How pathetic is that! I think at that point you can't blame the girl, imagine being covered in blood! Some girls just aren't made to be adventurers."

"Enough Bete", a green-haired elf said. "It was our fault anyway."

Bell then ran away from the pub quickly. "Bell-chan", Syr yelled as Bell ran out of the pub.

"Huh, a dine and dash", a girl asked.

"Don't worry! Nobodies dumb enough to do that at Mamma Mia's house", Loki yelled.

Aiz then walked out to look at the running Bell. "Was that..."

And so Bell ran back into the dungeon, then fighting a hoard of monsters. And as she killed one frog monsters, but gets grabbed by another one and getting dragged into it's mouth. But then the monster explodes from the inside and Bell holds out her knife up, while covered in slime.

"I need to get stronger", Bell yelled as a new horde of monsters apears. I just wanted something to happen without me doing anything! I was beign an idiot! I have to do it all! Or I can't call myself an adventurer!

Bell preparing to fight the War Shadows. "I have to get stronger!"

By the time the sun rose, Hestia was waiting for Bell outside the church. "Where did Bell-chan go? She never came home last night. Maybe she found a nice...", Hestia stoped, hearing Bell groan from pain as her clothes were almost completaly torn and soaked in blood. But when Bell saw her Goddess run towards her, she only looked and smiled.

And before Bell fell, Hestia grabbed her.

"Bell-chan..."

"Goddess... I want to get stronger...", Bell said her blood and tears mixed as she faintly cried into Hestia's arms. But Hestia only gave a warm smile as he embrased Bell.

Q. Could be the fact that freya admire her soul make her stronger, because she is a goddes the effect would be stronger than a normal person, same with adventurers, stronger the person stronger the benefit? would be great effect to the story
