HELLO! I'm back!

Chapter 5: Hestia Knife

Bell stands in the large opening of the district as Hestia looks on in worry.

"Yeah, I think it was a clear and sunny day like this. They said my grandmother was attacked by a monster in the mountains and died. They told me she fell into a deep valley, and that they couldn't search for her there. And after I made my way to here... No one wanted me into their familia. Except you Goddess... I won't lose anymore family...", just then as Hestia tried to grab onto her, but Bell had run-off towards the center of the open street.

"Bell-chan!"

Bell ran through the streets as a cloacked figure looked from above. She soon faced the beast. She dodged it's attack, making it hit a fountain instead. But it then charged at her and as she tried to defend herself, her knife shattered. Goddess... And with no other choice, she ran into the narrower streets. Even in them, she still had to try and dodge the ape's attacks.

Managing to get into a pressed clearing, the monster fell forward. In the moment Bell tried to lose it, but her escape path was blocked by it's swinging chain. As she was smaked back by the chain, she tried to run back through her entrance, but the monkey slammed it's chain down and up. Though she dodged it, her jacket's left side was shreaded and her arm bruised by the chain. She crashed into a stairway.

I wonder... did she make it out okay, she wondered as she faided in and out of consciousness. But as she did, she remembered the minotaur attack and stood up. "Well she isn't coming this time, is she...", she mumbled as the beast lowered to her level. I wanted to see her... at least one more time..., as the beast raised it's arms, she saw Hestia. "Goddess?!"

"Bell-chan!"

No... Why? "Why did you come back!?"

The ape looked over at the goddess and begun walking to her while Bell tried to get to her first. "Goddess", she shouted as she jumped at her, tumbling down a flight of stairs with her. "Are you all right?"

"Yeah, I think so...", Hestia stated happily as she laid on Bell.

"What are you doing here? I asked you to run!"

"You're really hopeless. Why would I run and leave behind my only child? Did you want to protect me? Well I want the same, but for you."

"But at this rate we'll both...", she was stoped by her own tears choking her.

"It's too early to give up", Hestia said re-assuringly as she took off a bag from her back. But Bell had no time, as the monster had found them and begun crawling through a narrow street.

"Sorry", Bell quickly said as she begun carrying the goddess. She ran through more streets before moving through a hidden door. "It's after you. It's only a matter of time before it finds us."

"Then we won't run. Instead, you'll fight it. I'll update your status", Hestia said as Bell looked at her in confusion. "You're going to hit it with all you can."

Bell looked at her before looking down in defeat. "Even if I was a little stronger, I can't actually damage it...", she pulled out her now broken knife hilt. "... since I have no weapon right now..."

"Why are you so gloomy all of a sudden. The Bell Cranel I know isn't so pathetic", Hestia said as she stood up. "... and could beat that monster easily!"

"Goddess...", she looked at Hestia and you could almost feel a flow of energy go between the two.

"And now I can give you this...", she said as she raised the bag she was holding. She opened the bag, revealing a box. Bell opened the box, revealing a sheathed knife.

Bell pulled out the blade, revealing a black edge with runic incravings. "What is this..."

"Our weapon... the Hestia Knife! And it's going to bring you victory", she looked at Bell. "Will you believe in me?"

Bell looked at her with tears. "Yes!"

As the monster thrashed and searched for the two, Bell took off her shirt and Hestia begun updating her status. And as she did, the blade glowed in Bell's hand. And as the monster climed into the open street, Bell put on her black shirt. She clenched the knife as the beast begun aproaching, each step making her tremble more and more. But Hestia placed her hands on her shoulders.

"It's going to be okay Bell...", another pulse of energy. "I'll say it again... Believe in me..."

Bell smirked. "Yes..."

"So you believe in yourself?"

"YES", she shouted as she charged at the beast, knife in hand.

The monster slammed it's hand down, but she jumped and dodged, weaving through all of it's attacks. She used the attacks to vault off to behind it. As it swung it's chain, it's shattered as Bell blocked with the Hestia Knife. Shocked but looking forward, she ran up the beast's hand and slashed it's face protector. As she landed, it attacked but she dodged with a flip. But the monster swung it's palm up, sending her flying upward. She grabbed a drying line and catapulted downwards, slicing it's armor apart. Then dashing to the side in a curving motion, she leaped forward and turned the blade forward. As she reached the ape, she pushed upward into it's chest, slashing it's chest into a bloody scar. And as she tore it out, the beast screamed out in pain. And as it fell silent, it colapsed into a black puff of smoke and kindling.

And as the smoke cleared, a large magic stone fell to the ground. Bell stared before looking at the excited Hestia in disbelief. "I did-"

"YOU DID IT", Hestia shouted in joy. Soon people opened their windows, walked out of the streets to cheer with Hestia at Bell. As they did, Bell felt a surge of energy. "You did it Bell-chan!"

Bell cought the lunging goddess, falling backwards. "I did it Goddess!"

"I'm so proud", Hestia shouted as she slowly colapsed.

Bell and Hestia went to the tavern where Syr and Mamma Mia offered them a room, at least for Hestia.

"How's your goddess", Syr asked Bell, who was sitting beneath the stairs in-front of Hestia's room.

"She's just tired and is resting. Sorry to bother you with this... You even gave us a room for fre-"

"Who said anything about free?"

Bell looked at Syr in terror. "You don't mean..."

"I do..." Bell looked at her with more terror as she was slowly dragged into the changing room. "Mia said you could stay as long as you need to... as long as you help out..."

A few minutes later...

The tavern was nearly crowded as people kept asking for Bell. They wouldn't even order anything until Mamma Mia threatened them.

"Where is she?"

"Oh man! She's so cute!"

"I'm in heaven..."

Bell was surrounded by the customers. "Please, order something off the menu-"

"Are you on the menu?"

She suddenly flushed with emberrasment and she tried to cover her face, but it made people even more riled up. Bell looked over to see Syr and the others cheering her on as they served people food. These guys aren't even ordering... I just wanted to eat and rest! How did I end up here?!
