Episode 321: Getting Twiggy With It
A couple of days came and went since Sora's egg hatched into a Riolu. Since then, Sora found out that his new Riolu can use Aura Sphere. Not one of them knew how it was possible for a Riolu to learn Aura Sphere before evolving into a Lucario. As they were making their way through the dark woods and right to Jubilfe City, they heard something moving around.
"You hear something?" Meowth asked.
"What?" Sora asked.
"Listen," Meowth said.
They all did listen as the rustling grew louder and louder. They all flinched when they saw a Kricketot in front of them. The rustling sound was a wild Kricketot making its way through the woods.
"A Kricketot," Terra said. Sora took out his Pokédex and scanned the Pokémon in front of them.
Kricketot, the Cricket Pokémon
Type: Bug
Kricketot communicate with others of their kind by shaking their heads, which causes their antennae to hit each other and produce xylophone-like noises. These noises are more common around fall.
"Talking about a muscial Pokémon," Sora sad.
"And a cute little thing too," Kairi said.
Kricketot makes the xylophone sound, playing some music in the air. Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Pikachu, Angel, and Meowth were moved by the sound of the music it was making.
"That's nice," Aqua said.
Kricketot continues to play its music as Pikachu and Angel are captivated, feeling the sudden urge to dance. The moment is interrupted when a wild Dusclops attacked.
"A Dusclops!" Sora gasped. The Dusclops was aiming right for Kricketot. The cricket Pokémon was scared as Dusclops tried to reach for it. Sora turned to his partner. "Pikachu, deal with that Dusclops! Thunderbolt!" Pikachu fires Thunderbolt at the beckon Pokémon. Dusclops was angered as it sends out Shadow Ball at the group. "Watch out!" They all ducked. "Man, what's with that Dusclops?"
"I don't know, but I don't wanna find out!" Meowth said, running off.
"Meowth, come back here!" Sora called out.
"He's got the right idea!" Aqua said.
"We need to get Ven out of here!" Terra added.
"They're right, Sora. Ven's in danger if we stick around!" Kairi said. Sora saw there was no way out of it and they all started to run. Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Pikachu, and Angel caught up with Meowth as they kept on running. Dusclops kept chasing after them and sends out another Shadow Ball at them. Pikachu and Angel ran ahead as Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, and Aqua ducked as Dusclops went after the Pokémon.
"Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, be safe," Sora said. The three Pokémon ran ahead to a pond where a Turtwig is seen by a pond. It sees the small band of Pokémon as they panted. Turtwig got curious and went up to them. They thought they found Dusclops again, but much to their relief, it wasn't.
"Hey, you're a Turtwig, ain't ya?" Meowth asked.
"Yes, I'm a Turtwig. What are you three doing on my turf?" - Turtwig subtitle.
"Hey, just cause we're on your turf, doen't mean we seen it on your stupid map!" meowth argued, but Pikachu stepped in.
"Meowth, don't make him angry. We made one enemy already." - Pikachu subtitle.
"Don't tell me about making enemies! He threatened us!" Meowth argued.
"No he didn't he was just asking a question." - Pikachu subtitle.
"It sounded threatening," Meowth said.
"Just let me handle this." - Pikachu subtitle. He looked right at Turtwig. "Listen, we're sorry for barging in on you like that, but we were just walking through the woods and we were attacked by a Dusclops." - Pikachu subtitle.
"A Dusclops? You mean, you came through those woods! Those woods are crawling with Ghost Type Pokémon! You should have known better than to go in through there!"- Turtwig subtitle.
"No we didn't because we're not from around here." - Angel subtitle. The Dusclops shows up, startling the Pokémon.
"It's him!" Meowth exclaimed.
Turtwig stood his ground as Dusclops forms Shadow Ball and sends it right at them, but they all dodged. Turtwig used Bite on the ghostly Pokémon and gave him a toss back where he came from. For comecal effect, the sound of an elephant's trumpet is heard through the woods.
"You three are safe now. He won't be coming back. And if he does, I'll be more than happy to give him another toss into the woods." - Turtwig subtitle.
"Thank you for helping us." - Angel subtitle. Turtwig smiled.
"Anytime, miss. There's no way I'd let a Pokémon like him mess with the hair on your pretty little head." - Turtwig subtitle.
"That was pretty impressive." - Pikachu subtitle.
"Pikachu!" Sora called out.
"Angel! Meowth!" Kairi added.
They heard the couple calling out to them. Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, and Aqua all show up to see Pikachu is doing okay.
"Good, you guys are okay!" Sora said.
"Look! It's a Turtwig! So cool!" Ventus said excitedly. Turtwig thought the humans were a threat and fires Razor Leaf at them.
"Razor Leaf! Duck!" Sora yelled as they all ducked out of the way. The Razor Leaf hits something in the nearby bushes as an Oddish got hurt and lets out a Sleep Powder. "Look out!" Sora ran to save Pikachu as they both got a snootful of Sleep Powder, putting him and the three Pokémon to sleep. "Nap time."
"I could use a some sleep too. Good ight, mommy," Meowth said. They all fell asleep. Turtwig placed the sleeping Pokémon on his back and ran off. Turtwig was pretty strong if he was carrying three Pokémon as he ran into the woods.
"Angel!" Kairi gasped.
"Pikachu! Meowth!" Ventus called out to them.
"Come back!" Terra added.
An elderly woman wearing a yellow shirt, purple skirt, and a salmon jacket saw Turtwig running off.
"Oh dear. Children!" The old woman called out to them as they saw here before they could go after them. She brought them over to her house and prepared some tea to counter the effect of Sleep Powder on Sora. Kairi, Ventus, Terra, and Aqua were offered tea and cookies. "Drink this, dear." Sora took a sip as he woke right up.
"Pikachu? Where's Pikachu? And where are we?" Sora asked.
"It looks like my herb tea sure did its job," the old woman said.
"Herb tea?" Sora asked.
"Forgive me. My name's Clara," the old woman introduced herself.
"I'm Sora. Nice to meet you," Sora said.
"We're at Clara's house," Aqua said.
"She was nice enough to help you out," Ventus said.
"You have nothing to fear. Turtwig's a good Pokémon. I'm sure your Pikachu, Eevee, and Meowth are fine," Clara said.
"You mean you know that Turtwig?" Kairi asked.
"Heavens yes. Turtwig and I are old friends," Clara said.
"Old friends?" Sora asked.
Over to Pikachu, Angel, and Meowth, they were still sleeping from the effect of Oddish's Sleep Powder. Turtwig tackles into a tree, knocking down some oranges, bonking each on the heads.
"Aah! I'm sorry about the car! I didn't know it was broken!" Meowth said, suddenly waking up. "Huh? Where are we?" Turtwig offers them the oranges. "For us?" Turtwig nods. "Thanks, pal." Pikachu, Angel, and Meowth starts eating the oranges. Turtwig beams witnessing them eating the oranges.
Back to Clara's house, she explains about Turtwig.
"Turtwig's quite the little helper, you see. Turtwig's always coming to the aid of people and Pokémon. and has been for quite some time," Clara said.
"Is Turtwig your Pokémon, Clara?" Aqua asked.
"No dear. Land sakes, I'm busy enough working in my herb garden without the time it would be either a trainer or a Coordinator," Clara said. "Truth is, one day, Turtwig just showed up here out of poor dear looked exhausted, so I whipped up some dinner and made sue that Turtwig got plenty of sleep."
"If I were Turtwig, I'd never want to leave after that," Terra said.
"Yes, Turtwig's been here ever since. Help everythingand everyone including me- all from a simple twist of fate," Clara said. "In no time at all, the Pokémon around here made Turtwig their leader."
Back to Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, and Turtwig, they were happily eating the fruit when they heard the sound of fighting. It was a Mankey and a Geodude fighting over a melon.
"I saw it first!" - Mankey subtitle.
"No way! I saw it first!" - Geodude subtitle.
Turtwig ran towards the tree and knocked the squabbling Pokémon and the melon down. They were still fighting over it as Turtwig tackles it out of their hands. They were angered by Turtwig's actions, so they brawed with the tiny leaf Pokémon.
"Hey! Give it a rest, it's just a melon!" Meowth said. "Hard to believe it's coming from me." Turtwig comes out on top as Geodude and Mankey were knocked out.
Back to Clara's house.
"But, at times Turtwig get's carried away. It's a lot of responsibility for the dear," Clara said.
"It sounds like the pressures pretty high," Kairi said.
"Yeah. I reminds of a Bulbasaur Sora had before evolving all the way to Venusaur," Ventus said.
"Sure does," Terra said.
"As much as I would like to take a stroll down memory lane, but why did that Turtwig attack us like that?" Sora asked.
"Well, I know I wasn't there, but if I were to guess I'd say Turtwig was only protecting Pikachu and the other two," Clara said.
"I get it. Turtwig must've thought we were trying to do Pikachu harm after that Dusclops attacked," Terra figured.
"Well, we'll have to try to convince Turtwig we meant no harm and have a talk with him. I just hope he understands," Sora said.
Back in the forest, Turtwig gathers some fruit for Geodude and Mankey.
"Here you, guys. Enjoy." - Turtwig subtitle. Mankey and Geodude both beamed at the sight of the fruit and took off to eat it. Turtwig yamed and went to sleep. Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, and Aqua shows up to the spot Clara had told them about.
"There they are!" Ventus said, waking up Turtwig.
"Thought we find you here, buddy," Sora said, taking a step forward. Turtwig charges at Sora with a Tackle. Pikachu was shocked.
"Sora!" Kairi gasped.
"Pika!" Pikachu gasped.
"That was a strong Tackle," Sora said.
"Turt," Turtwig said.
"Hold it, buddy! Sora ain't the enemy!" Meowth said.
"They were going to attack you, so I saved you from the Dusclops. And those humans were going to attack you too." - Turtwig subtitle.
"That Dusclops attacked them too!" Meowth said.
"He's telling the turth, Turtwig. That Dusclops jumped us and we ran for our lives. Pikachu, Angel, and Meowth ran ahead of us," Sora said.
"He's telling the truth, Turtwig. Sora's trying to help us."- Pikachu subtitle. Turtwig realized the mistake he made and got very sheepish. Turtwig bowed his ead in forgiveness.
"Looks like Turtwig is sorry for what he did," Kairi said.
"A little too sorry don't you think?" Ventus asked. Sora walked over to Turtwig and placed his hand on his shell.
"Don't worry about it, Turtwig. I'm very gratefulto for protecting Pikachu," Sora said.
"And I'm grateful for you for protecting Angel," Kairi added walking up to the tiny leaf Pokémon. Turtwig felt bad for jumping into conclusions like he did. He wanted to make amends. An injured Linoone comes along. "A Linoone! She looks hurt!"
"We better help her out then," Sora said. The couple went up to the rushing Pokémon. "What could have happened?" Kairi took a look at the Linoone.
"She looks like she smashed into hard," Kairi said.
"Let's hi-tail it back to Clara's house, fast!" Terra said.
"Back to Clara's house!" Sora said, carefully carrying Linoone. Turtwig saw how he cared for Linoone and how careful he was.
Back in the darker part of the woods. The Kricketot from before followed the trail of the humans and Pokémon. Kricketot never saw the sun's light before, but he stepped out and saw how bright everything is. Kricketot was astounded by the colors of the trees, sky, and flowers.
"Wow, so this is light. It's even more prettier than I thought. Just look at all of the things. The grass, trees, flowers, and the sky! I love it! I love the light!" - Kricketot subtitle. Just then, a pale purple scorpion-like Pokémon comes out of the shrubs. Its claws and tail have been swapped, giving it two stingers and a claw tail. The miniature jaws, claws, and tail claws are white. Its arms are attached directly to its head, close to its teal eyes. A pointed marking joins its eyes. The head, arms, two tail segments, and all four legs are light blue, while the body, tail end, and other two tail segments are a darker shade of blue. This Pokémon is known as a Skorupi.
"Hey buddy! What's all the excitement about?" - Skorupi subtitle. Kricketot turned to see the scorpion-like Pokémon.
"I'm sorry if I woke you up. I was just captivated by the light of that glowing thing in the sky." - Kricketot subtitle.
"That is called the sun. And I was wide awake. I just heard you getting worked up like a Spoink on a sugar binge. And I take it you don't get out much, do you?" - Skorupi subtitle.
"No. I don't. Anyway, did you see some humans go by here? They're three boys and two girls. Also, they had a Pikachu, an Eevee, and. Meowth that speaks like a human." - Kricketot subtitle. Skorupi got wide-eyed.
"A Meowth that talks like a human?! Are you serious?" - Skorupi subtitle.
"Yeah. They were being chased off by a Dusclops down this way. Do you know which way they went?" - Kricketot subtitle.
"No, but if they were going down this way, it looks like they hit that Turtwig's territory. Heard he's helping the humans and Pokémon living down there. His usual hangout spot is that one house by the lake where that old lady lives. I only seen him around." - Skorupi subtitle.
"Thanks a lot!" - Kricketot subtitle. The cricket Pokémon took off to find Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Pikachu, Angel, and Meowth. Skorupi got curious about a Meowth with the ability to speak.
"A Meowth that can talk like a human is what I need to see for myself." - Skorupi subtitle. Skorupi went off to find them as well.
In the woods, the Dusclops from before informed the gang of Duskull under his command.
"That Turtwig humiliated me and sent my flying like a sack of potatoes! And we're not going to let them get away with this!" - Dusclops subtitle. One of the Duskull leaned towards another Duskull.
"I don't remember a sack of potatoes going flying." - Duskull 1 subtitle.
"The Turtwig is allied with those humans, that's why he helped those fuzzballs! We'll get that Turtwig, that Pikachu, that Eevee, that Meowth with the human tongue, and those humans as well! Are you all with me?" - Dusclops subtlte. The Duskull all let out a battle cry and set off to get revenge for their leader. The ghostly Pokémon all started to make their way through the woods to launch their attack.
Back at Clara's house, Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Pikachu, Angel, and Meowth helped out with the healing. Clara was amazed when she heard Meowth talking. A Pokémon doctor, whom happens to be a neighbor of hers tend to the Linoone.
"These herbs were perfect for heling all sorts of wounds and bruises. You'll be better soon," the doctor said.
"I am very thankful that you came on such short notice, Clara said.
"It's the least I can do, Clara. But it's the herbs from your garden that deserves the real credit. And to these kids for finding Linoone as well," the doctor said.
After healing Linoone, Kairi got lunch ready for everyone. Sora especially was looking forward to it. Pikachu, Grookey, Scorbunny, Sobble, Riolu, Piplup, Manaphy, Phione, and Bidoof were looking forward to it. The Kricketot sniffed the air and got hungry. He followed the smell to its sources. Skorupi caught a whiff and got curious and hungry. The scorpion-like Pokémon follows it to the source as well. Once the soup was done, Everyone dug in. The Pokémon of Sinnoh dug in their meal and ate it to their delight.
"Great as always, Kairi," Ventus said.
"Thank you as always, Ven," Kairi said.
"Kairi, dear, this is excellent. You seem to have quite a talent," Clara said.
"Thank you. I always make sure Sora has the best nutrition as I can give him," Kairi said.
"And my mom is very appreciatfive for that," Sora said.
"How did you learn to cook like this?" Clara asked.
"My grandma taught me. She and my mom were good cooks as well," Kairi said. "Also, his mom shared recipes with his mom." Turtwig had a taste of Kairi's Pokémon food and liked it right away. Turtwig was wondering why the other Pokémon were enjoying it so much. Kriketot shows up as well. Kairi sees the cricket Pokémon before them. "Oh, it's you again. Were you following us?" Kricketot nodded. "You're welcome to join us." Kairi poured some Pokémon food for the hungry Pokémon. Kricketot began to dig into the food. Kricketot beamed since he found the food to his liking. Skorupi shows up right behind Kricketot. "Hello and where did you come from?"
"Skorupi," Skorupi said.
"And what are you?" Sora asked, taking out his Pokédex.
Skorupi, the Scorpion Pokémon
Type: Poison/Bug
Skorupi attacks prey by using the claws on its tail. It grips prey with its tail claws and injects poison. It tenaciously hangs on until the poison takes.
"You must be hungry too, right?" Kairi asked. Skorupi nodded. "Then have some." She pured some food for the scorpion Pokémon to eat. Skorupi ate the food and its tastebuds started dancing. Skorupi starts wolfing it down.
"You seem to have a gift with Pokémon, Kairi," Clara said.
"It's a gift she has. One of the many reasons I fell in love with her," Sora said. Kairi blushed having to be complimented. He turned to the Linoone. "So, how's the food, Linoone?"
"Noone! Linoone said. Turtwig turned to Linoone and gives the rushing Pokémon what's eft of his food. Sora saw how generous Turtwig is.
"You're a real nice Pokémon, Turtwig," Sora said. Turtwig was pleased to hear Sora give him a compliment. "Just don't let it go to your head." Turtwig was confused for a moment. "Or mine." Turtwig froze for a second when he remembered tackling into Sora. He laughed. "It was just a little joke. He took some of Kairi's Pokémon food and filled Turtwig's bowl. "Here, have some more. You need to eat too." He places it in front of Turtwig. "Here you go." Turtwig was happy and jumps and bites Sora on the head. "YEOW!"
"Pika, Pi!" Pikachu gasped.
"Eevee!" Angel also gasped.
"Oh no!" Kairi, Ventus, Terra, and Aqua all gasped.
"Turtwig! Cut it out! Get off my head right now!" Sora screamed.
"Now he knows how James feels," Meowth commented, remembering all the times his Victreebel always chomped on his head. Clara then laughs.
"Turtwig is such a scamp!" Clara said, laughing.
"Scamp?" Ventus asked.
"When Turtwig bites you, it's a sign that Turtwig really likes you," Clara stated.
"Now, that's what I call a love bite," Meowth said.
"Does Turtwig do that to you too?" Ventus asked.
"Of course. Come here, Turtwig," Clara said. Turtwig got excited and heads right towards Clara. She took out a stick and he bites right on to it, much to everyone's surprise.
"Wow, even James wouldn't have thought of that. Course, he would need a much bigger stick than that," Meowth said.
"I'm sure with a little practice you can do the same," Clara said. Just then, a ball of shadows comes right at them, causing everyone some alarm.
"My goodness! What was that?" Clara asked.
"Where did that come from?" Sora asked. Meowth winced when he found out the answer.
"Guys! Duskull!" Meowth said, pointing to the ghostly Pokémon. Duskull all levitated in the air.
"Where did they come from?" Kairi asked.
"If I had to guess, I would think that Dusclops had some friends in high places," Terra said.
"I would say it's bad that we had to meet them," Kairi said.
"Very," Sora, Ventus, Aqua, and Terra all said. Dusclops shows up in front of them.
"That's the same Dusclops from before!" Ventus said. Turtwig stands right in front of his friends to defend them.
"Turtwig, Turt, Turtwig, Turt!" Turtwig said.
"What's Turtwig saying to Dusclops?" Ventus asked.
"Turtwig is saying that he was ready for Dusclops and is happy to give him another lesson to learn," Meowth translated.
"Dusclops, Dusc, Dusc, Duclops, Clops," Dusclops said.
"What's Dusclops saying?" Ventus asked.
"Dusclops said that he's going to have Turtwig's shell for what he did," Meowth translated.
"Turtwig!" Turtwig said.
"Meowth?" Ventus asked.
"Bring it on," Meowth translated.
Dusclops lets out a Shadow Punch and struck Turtwig. Pikachu, Riolu, Grookey, Scorbunny, Sobble, Piplup, Manaphy, Phione, Bidoof, Kricketot, and Skorupi joined in the fray. The Duskull all launched their attacks on the group of Pokémon. Skorupi fires Poison Sting right at the Duskull. Their resistance to Poison Type attacks. One Duskull fires a Shadow Ball and it sends Skorupi flying. Skorupi makes a rough landing in a tree, not too far.
Back at the battle, some of the Duskull launched Shadow Ball and Kricketot takes the hits. Kricketot builds up loads of energy. Once Kricketot launched a huge burst of energy and took out some of the Duskull. Riolu, Scorbunny, Sobble, and Piplup all came to the cricket Pokémon's aide. Turtwig fires Razor Leaf at Dusclops. The beckon Pokémon. Dusclops hits Turtwig with another Shadow Punch. Turtwig took a hit from Dusclops's Shadow Punch. It was a pretty heavy blow. Pikachu saw how Turtwig is takeing a hit from the cyclops-like Pokémon. Sora saw Pikachu was heading for Turtwig.
"Pikachu! Thunderbolt!" Sora ordered. Pikachu lands a Thunderbolt onto Dusclops. Turtwig looked at Sora and saw how he worked well with Pikachu and then, he sets his eyes on Pikachu and how he was willing to protect him after he was the one doing the protecting.
"Pikachu's protecting Turtwig," Kairi said.
"After the way Turtwig went to protect Pikachu, it's the least he can do," Terra said.
Turtwig took in the sunlight and heals himself of his injuries.
"What's Turtwig doing?" Ventus asked.
"Turtwig is using Synthesis. It's a healing move just like Recover, but it can be used by Grass Types," Kairi explained. Dusclops turned to Sora for giving the command and gave him a Shadow Punch in the gut. Kairi gasped. "Sora!"
"Eevee!" Angel gasped.
"Pika!" Pikachu also gasped.
Turtwig was aghast when he saw Dusclops do that. Turtwig got angry and unleashed a huge Razor Leaf attack onto Dusclops and some the Duskull. Turtwig bit Dusclops on the hand and spins Dusclops around and gave him a toss. Dusclops goes flying back to where he came from. All of the Duskull all got scared of Turtwig and they all fled right back into the woods.
"And don't come back!" Ventus said.
"Is everyone okay?" Sora asked.
"Everyone is all okay. But what about you, Sora?" Aqua asked with concern.
"I'm fine, Aqua," Sora said.
"Don't tell me that! Tell that to her!" Aqua scolded. Kairi was fill with frantic worry over her boyfriend.
"You're right, Aqua. I'll say that to her," Sora said, walking to her. "Sorry for worrying you like that."
"Of course I'm going to worry about you. I told you it's going to worse," Kairi reminded her boyfriend. Sora sheepishly chuckled. Turtwig went up to Sora. He turned to the tiny leaf Pokémon and he smiles at him. "Just glad you're doing okay, buddy. And thanks for helping us all." Turtwig was happy and he leapt to give Sora another loe bite, but he placed a stick in his path. "Good thing I grabbed this in the confusion."
"You just grabbed that from Clara's table?" Meowth asked.
"Sure did. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me," Sora said. He looked around and noticed a certain Pokémon was missing. "Hey, where's Skorupi?"
"He must have gotten gone after all those Duskull when they attacked," Kairi said.
But she was wrong, because Skorupi was still up in the same tree, and unable to get down. It was pretty high, so he held on to the branch as tight as he could.
"Oh, this is what I really don't need!" - Skorupi subtitle.
Back at the house, Kairi bent down to Kricketot and and smiled.
"Thank you for your help, Kricketot. You've been such a big help," Kairi said. Kricketot beamed. "Would you like to come with us?" Kricketot nodded. Kairi took out a Pokéball and held in front of the cricket Pokémon and he pressed the button. Kricketot flows inside and stars flows inside to confirm the catch. "Welcome to the team, Kricketot."
Later as the sun was setting, Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Pikachu, Angel, and Meowth
"Thanks for everything, Clara," Ventus said.
"You all take care," Clara said.
"And you do the same," Terra said. Sora looked right a Turtwig.
"You take care of yourself and all the Pokémon around here, Turtwig," Sora said.
"Pikachu!" Pikachu said.
"Eevee!" Angel said.
"Bye!" Kairi said.
The group took off as Clara waved goodbye to them. Turtwig was sad to see them go. Turtwig felt a special connection with Sora. Clara looked right at Turtwig and smiled.
"I know you want to go," Clara said. Turtwig turned to her and shocked to hear her say that and wondered if she's going to be okay. "Of course. I'll be fine by myself. You go with them." Turtwig was surprised, but happy, so he wet running towards them. Turtwig stops in front of them.
"Turtwig?" Sora asked real surprised.
"What's wrong?" Kairi asked.
"Turtwig!" Turtwig said.
"You wanna hang with us?" Meowth aasked.
"Turt," Turtwig nodded.
"You sure?" Sora asked.
"I'm sure he is," Clara said. "You shouldn't be surprised. Turtwig likes you." Sora smiled and nodded.
"There's always room for one more," Sora said. Turtwig stands on his hind legs and bats his front legs together.
"Turtwig, Turtwig, Turtwig!" Turtwig said.
"Turtwig is saying you have to battle him first," Meowth translated.
"Yes, you are right, Meowth," Clara said.
"Turtwig, Turtwig," Turtwig said.
"But Turtwig says he wants to battle against Pikachu," Meowth translated.
"Okay, Turtwig, if that's what you want," Sora said as he accepted the challenge. Pikachu and Turtwig stood in front of each other as they both got ready to battle. Turtwig starts up with Tackle. "Pikachu! Quick Attack! Let's go!" Pikachu charges right at Turtwig with his speed attack. Pikachu lands a blow onto Turtwig and tumbes back. He got back up and fires Razor Leaf. "Dodge it!" Pikachu avoids Razor Leaf as Turtwig charges at Pikachu with another Tackle. Turtwig successfully lands a hit
"That Turtwig is much stronger than he was before," Ventus said.
"After taking on that Dusclops twice, it's no wonder," Meowth said.
Turtwig charges right at Pikachu again, but opens his mouth.
"Turtwig is going to use Bite!" Ventus exclaimed.
"Pikachu! Dodge it quick!" Sora called out. Pikachu jumps to avoid him, but Turtwig jumps after him and bites him right on the tail. "Shake Turtwig off, quick!" Pikachu tried to swing Pikachu right off of his tail. Pikachu ran around as Turtwig kept on holding on. "Pikachu's gotta tired out if this keeps up. What to do, what to do, what to do?" He thought for a moment and looked right at the tree. "Wait, that's it!" He points to the tree. "Pikachu! Over there!" Pikachu looked right at the tree confused, but he understod what he meant. He ran towards the tree with Turtwig,s tail biting on him. "That's it! Now, use Iron Tail!" PIkachu's tail gave a metallic glow, much to Turtwig's surprise. He lets go of Pikachu's tail when he slammed him into the tree. Turtwig came sliding down from the tree. "Let's wrap this up! Thunderbolt!" Pikachu gave Turtwig a strong Thunderbolt. Sora knew Electric Type attacks won't do much damage to Turtwig, but it would be enough. Turtwig was now paralyzed from the electric shock. Sora took out a Pokéball and threw it. Turtwig flows inside it. The Pokéball wobbles around and around until stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch. Sora's Pokémon Box activates and it asks him if he wants to keep Turtwig with him. He chose to keep Turtwig in exchange for Grookey. "Glad you could join the party, Turtwig."
"Pi, Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Promise me you'll take good care of Turtwig for me now, won't you, dear? It means a lot," Sora said.
"I promise, Clara," Sora said.
Sora has caught a Turtwig and now they continue on towards Jubilfe City for the first Pokémon Contest. Skorupi was watching and was knocked down during the rumble. Skorupi started to follow them down the road, hoping that their paths will cross.
