Chapter 7: Homework Help.
Tim struggled as he tried to get his homework done. He didn't really understand long division. Then, Barbara came in.
"Hi, Tim." Barbara said.
"Hey, Barbara." Tim said before he realized something he was doing wasn't right and slammed his head on his desk.
"What is it?" Barbara asked.
"This long division is difficult! I can hardly figure it out!" Tim said.
Barbara looked at it and saw he had carried a number wrong.
"You're supposed to carry the seven, not the eight." she said.
Tim followed her instructions and saw that it made sense. He then did more of the problem and had Barbara look over it before she saw something else.
"You added wrong." she said.
"Man." Tim said.
"Hey, why don't I help you study? You have that test tomorrow and you seem like you could use it." Barbara said.
"Okay." Tim said.
For the next couple of hours, they worked and studied, overcoming problems and figuring out ways to memorize the work.
The next day, Tim went to the school Bruce had sent him to and took his test. He came back home with a smile on his face.
"I'm home!" he called.
"Hello, Young Master Drake. How did the test go?" Alfred asked.
"Passed with a 100!" Tim said.
"Congratulations, Tim. You've earned yourself an extra hour of patrol tonight!" Bruce said.
"Thanks, Bruce, but I would like to go with Barbara on patrol. She is the one who helped me." Tim said.
Later, Batgirl and Robin were out in Gotham City and landed on a roof.
"Good job, Tim. With both those thugs and that test. I'm proud of you." Batgirl said.
"Thanks, but you really helped me out too. You're the best, Aunt Barbara." Robin said.
Batgirl looked surprised.
"It's okay if I call you that, right?" Robin asked.
Batgirl smiled before she gave Robin a kiss on the forehead.
"It sure is." Batgirl said.
