Episode 330: Kenny and Prinplup
A couple of days had passed since Kairi learned to make Poffins. Kairi was getting set for the upcoming Pokémon Contest as Kairi practiced with Morpeko with Aura Wheel and Bullet Seed. It was twenty four short hours away, and Kairi and her Morpeko are doing some special training in preparation for her second win."Okay, Morpeko! Aura Wheel and then use Bullet Seed!" Kairi ordered. Morpeko perfoms Aura Wheel as fast as she could run and then it goes right into the air like a flying saucer. Morpeko fires Bullet Seed right inside it. The Aura Wheel went out into small sparkles as it rains down from the air, much to everyone's amazement.
"That was amazing," Aqua said.
"I'm with her. That was very beautiful when Morpeko let out that Bullet Seed inside that Aura Wheel," Gabumon said.
"Thank you, everyone. I'm glad to impress you all," Kairi said as she and Morpeko took a bow as they all applauded her. Morpeko begged Kairi for some Pffins, making her giggle. "Okay, Morpeko, you've earned it." Kairi took out a Poffin and the two-sided Pokémon happily ate it. She turned to Angel. "You want one too, Angel?"
"Eevee," Angel said as she ate the Poffin her trainer handed her..
"Is that good?" Kairi asked.
"Vee," Angel said happily.
"Are you going to dress up again like you did at the last Contest, Kairi?" Agumon asked.
"Yeah I am. And with Morpeko and Pachirisu, I can't lose," Kairi said.
"Don't count your Pokémon before the eggs hatch," a new voice came. Everyone all turned to see a boy and a Prinplup approaching them. He has red hair and black eyes. He wears a green T-shirt with a white border and stripe, a darker green long-sleeved undershirt, a blue Pokétch, khaki pants, and green and white sneakers with yellow stripes. "You're Kairi, aren't you?"
"Yes, I am," Kairi said.
"Cool, I've been looking forward to meet you for a long time. And with moves like that, I can easily see why you came on top of the Hoenn Grand Festival," the boy said.
"Thank you. And you would be?" Kairi asked.
"Right, I should introduce myself. I'm Kenny. It's nice to meet you," Kenny said.
"Nice to meet you too," Kairi said. Sora, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth and the Digimon all approached him. "These are all my friends."
"I'm Ventus, but call me Ven," Ventus said.
"I'm Terra."
"And I'm Aqua."
"Hey there," Sora greeted. "I'm Sora, Kairi's boyfriend and Ven's cousin." Kenny looked right at Sora with amazement.
"Hey, I know you! You're Sora Ketchum, the world famous Pokémon League Champion! You won the Indigo Plateau, Johto, and Hoenn Pokémon Leagues. What brings you here in the Sinnoh region?" Kenny asked.
"Two reasons. One he's here competing in the Sinnoh Pokémon League. And he's also supporting me," Kairi said.
"Supporting you? You mean, he's not competing in the Contest?" Kenny asked.
"No, I'm not," Sora said. Kenny turned to Kairi.
"Anyway, I just wanted to say I was impressed by your win Jublife City Pokémon Contest. Dee Dee sure was impressive for a beginner," Kenny said.
"Dee Dee?" Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Meowth, and the Digimon all asked.
"You wouldn't know who I'm talking about. The one I'm talking about is Dawn. She was your final opponent during the Jubilife City Contest," Kenny said.
"Really? Dawn?" Ventus asked.
"That's the one," Kenny said.
"How do you know, Dawn?" Aqua asked.
"Dee Dee and I knew each other when we were in nursery school in Twinleaf Town. And I used to play with her a lot," Kenny explained.
"That sums it up," Meowth said.
"Just do you also know two boys named Lucas and Barry?" Terra asked.
"I sure do. They were in the same class as me and Dee Dee. I saw Dawn had chosen Piplup as her first Pokémon, so I had a feeling that she was copying me," Kenny said.
"Didn't seem that way to any of us," Aqua said. Kenny looked right at the Digimon.
"So, what are they? Are they new kinds of Pokémon?" Kenny asked.
"Actually, we're Digimon," Agumon said.
"They came from a different world. Meet Agumon, Gabumon, Biyomon, Tentomon, Palmon, Gomamon, Patamon, Gatomon, Veemon, Hawkmon, Wormmon, and Armadillomon," Sora said, pointing to each one of them. "But cutting it short, you said you saw Kairi and Dawn in the final battle. Were you watching, because I would remember seeing you compete."
"I was watching the Jublife Contest on TV. And like her and Kairi, I made it to the finals. It was at the Contest before Jubilife City. I was up against a Coordinator with a Glameow. And her name was Zoey," Kenny said.
"Zoey? You battled Zoey and lost?" Kairi asked.
"Yeah, she was so powerful, I didn't stand a chance. The same can be said when you battled her," Kenny said.
"Who's Zoey?" Biyomon asked.
"Zoey is a human girl who was a the Jubilife Contest like Kairi andDawn was. Zoey was her first opponent in the finals," Agumon explained.
"None of us had any idea Zoey had already won her first Ribbon. I guess we didn't ask," Sora said.
"No kidding," Meowth said.
"I knew Zoey was good from the first minute we saw her," Terra said.
"Anyway, Sora, have you thought about being in a Pokémon Contest?" Kenny asked.
"I kinda did at some point, but Gym Battles are my cup of tea. And I enjoyed watching them, not because Kairi was in them. Also, I was a judge during the Pacifidlog Town Pokémon Contest. That was the last Contest before the Hoenn Grand Festival," Sora said.
"And I had already won my five Contest Ribbons by then," Kairi said.
"Seriously? You were a judge?" Kenny asked.
"Yeah. I did better than I thought I would," Sora said.
"I never thought of you as a judge," Kenny said. "But since you're a Pokémon League Champion, it was likely you would be judging."
"That's what Kairi said," Sora said.
"Anyway, Sora, I wanted to challnge you into a battle. And I thought it'll be againt your Pikachu," Kenny challenged.
"Okay, I'll accept your challenge," Sora said.
Not too far, a red insectoid Digimon that resembles a wasp with black stripes on its forearms, calves, and pelvis. Its antennae resemble black-tipped white feathers and it has three-toed hands and feet with black claws. It has metal visor on its forehead which has a symbol on it and spiked spaulders and kneepads. The Digimon keeps on flying.
Sora and Kenny got set for their battle as Pikachu and Prinplup stood on the opposite sides of the battlefield.
"Let's keep it simple. One on one," Kenny said.
"You got it, Kenny," Sora said.
"Pikachu's got the upperhand since Prinplup is a Water Type," Ventus said.
"That's true, Ven. But judging how that Prinplup looks, I would say Kenny is feeling pretty confident," Kairi said.
"Whatever happens, it ought to be a real eye-opener," Terra said.
"That Prinplup seems rather confident," Aqua sad.
"Okay, Sora, you can have the first move," Kenny said.
"Okay, get ready for what's coming your way! Pikachu! Thunderbolt!" Sora ordered. Pikachu fires Thunderbolt right at the penguin Pokémon.
"Metal Claw!" Kenny ordered. Prinplup moves its flippers and absorbed the Thunderbolt.
"Prinplup absorbed the attack!" Ventus gasped.
"No way!" Gomamon said.
"That was impressive, Kenny. You sent Thuderbolt right back," Sora said.
"Steel Claw is a Steel Type attack, so if it's powerful, it's a good defense for Electric Type attacks," Terra said. Priplup waves its flippers away to clear the electric attack.
"Sora will have to come up with something new and fast," Veemon said.
"That Prinplup is so strong. No wonder he made it to the final round," Aqua said.
"No joke. If it was me out there, I wouldn't last a second out there," Meowth said.
"Now, my turn. Drill Peck, let's go!" Kenny ordered. Prinplup ran towards Pikachu to deliever a Drill Peck right at Pikachu.
"Stay on your toes, Pikachu!" Sora called out. Prinplup jumps and comes right down at Pikachu. "Jump to dodge it!" Pikachu jumps to avoid Prinplup's Drill Peck. "Now use Iron Tail!" Pikachu swings his tail and lands a hit onto Prinplup.
"Bubble Beam!" Kenny ordered. Prinplup fores Bubble Beam and used it as a cushion and bounces off it, causing an explosion. "Way to go!" Prinplup was confident.
"That was very impressive, Kenny. We're not done yet!" Sora said.
"Pika!" Pikachu agreed.
"Hey, that was a good way for Bubble Beam," Ventus said.
"And that looked like fun," Armadillomon said.
"Using moves in unique ways is perfect for a Pokémon Coordinator," Terra said.
"I wonder if I could do something like that," Patamon said.
"I wouldn't recommmend it," Wormmon said.
"Iron Tail!" Sora ordered.
"Metal Claw!" Kenny ordered.
Pikachu lands an Iron Tail as Prinplup blocks with Metal Claw making their Steel Type attacks as they clash like they were swords. Just them a buzzing sound is heard as the insect Digimon appears out from nowhere and launched his attack.
"Lightning Sting!" The Digimon shouted as it launched its electrick stingers on the battlefield, cutting the battle short.
"Where did that come from?!" Sora asked. Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Angel, Meowth, and the Digimon saw the Digimon fly above them.
"A Flybeemon! Here?!" Hawkmon exclaimed.
"Where did he come from?" Ventus asked.
"I don't know, but he's already crossed the line!" Biyomon said. She flew up to get the Digimon. "Spiral Twister!" Biyomon sends out her attack, but he was too fast for her.
Agumon, "Pepper Breath!"
Tentomon, "Super Shocker!" Tentomon shouted.
Flybeemon was too fast for them as he dodged them.
"Lightning Sting!" Flybeemon shouted as the electrified stingers comes crashing down at them. Wormmon watched his movements carefully.
"Sticky Net!" Wormmon shouted as Flybeemon got struck by it and he goes right up and on his back. "Spin Sting!" Wormmon spins around with his mandibles on his back. Flybeemon grabs the larvae Digimon and tossed him down.
"Worrmon!" Kairi cried as Wormmon was coming down. Wormmon then started to glow. They knew it was another Digivolution, but Kenny was shocked to witness it.
"Wormmon Digivolve to-" Wormmon transforms into a humanoid insect Digimon. His body is covered in a green and grey exoskeleton. He has pincers on his feet, "Spikes" on his forearms, and claw-like fingers on his hands. He also has two insect-like wings on his back and two long antennae on his head. "Stingmon!" The Digimon flew right up to Flybeemon.
"What the?! He evolved?!" Kenny asked.
"Who is that?" Sora asked.
"That would be Stingmon. Worrmon just Digivolved right into that Digimon," Tentomon said.
"That's Wormmon?" Ventus asked.
"How does that little grub turn into a super cool bug like that?" Meowth asked.
"Lightning Sting!" Flybeemon shouted as he launched his stingers at him. Stingmon dodges them and his spikes enlarges and a stinger comes out his right arm.
"Spiking Strike!" Stingmon shouted as he lunged right into Flybeemon. Flybeemon then dissolves into bits of data. Stingmon flies back down and reverts back to Wormmon.
"Wormmon, you did great," Sora said.
"That was very brave of you," Kairi said.
"I couldn't let him harm you," Wormmon said.
"Just how many DIgimon do we have to deal with? I thought Ultra Beasts were a handful," Sora said.
"Just where did that other one go?" Kenny asked.
"I'm wondering about that too," Sora said.
"Flybeemon's gone. Stingmon destroyed him," Agumon said.
"Destroyed?" Kairi asked in shocked.
"You mean, you killed him?" Aqua asked in shocked.
"You gotta understand he did what he had to," Hawkmon said.
"He would have gotten us if you hadn't," Terra said. "But we should focus on the Contest since it's only a day away."
"Terra's right. No one else was hurt. And we'reall okay," Kenny said. He looked over to Sora. "Sora, if it's okay with you, I would like to put our battle on hold for right now."
"I was going to suggest that anyway since we got interuppted," Sora said. Kenny smiled and he turned to Kairi.
"I'll be looking forward to seeing in the Contest tomorrow," Kenny said.
Over in the Digital World, Myotismon is furrious to hear that the Digimon he had sent to the real world hadn't reported back.
"Grizzlymon and Flybeemon haven't reported in?" Myotismon asked. Impmon stands before him.
"No, sir. I told them to do exactly that as soon as they get to the real world, but they haven't reported back," Impmon said.
"Get ready to send over an Airdramon and make sure that there are no mistakes next time!" Myotismon ordered.
"No mistakes. Got it!" Impmon said, taking off. Impmon runs past Duskmon as Myotismon smiles upon seeing him.
"Ah, Duskmon. I trust you have good news to report," Myotismon said.
"Yes, my lord. Several villages have been discovered o be aiding the Resistance. My unit made good work of thinning their numbers. Several Resistance soldiers attempted to come along, as I predicted. They never stood a chance," Duskmon said.
"Excellent work, Duskmon. As always show results. Unlike a certain Impmon," Myotismon said.
"His incompetence is an embarrassment to our cause," Duskmon said.
"Agreed. Keeping him around has its advantages. I can use his fear to send a message to the others. It shows an example to anyone who thinks about joining the Resistance," Myotismon said.
"And those who aren't afraid, master?" Duskmon asked.
"That is why I have you, Duskmon. Those who defies me without fear, will eventually meet their end," Myotismon said.
"It pleases me to hear that, lord Myotismon," Duskmon said.
"Out of all of the enforcers in my army, they all fear you the most; be they be with me or against me," Myotismon said. Devimon enters the room.
"Master," Devimon said.
"What is it?" Myotismon questioned.
"Sir, I have recieved word that a squad of the Resitance is making an a move. It is in the Factory area. That is where Andromon is occupying," Devimon reported.
"I thought that bucket of bolts is spare parts by now," Myotismon said.
"As did I. But I recived word that he is alive. And he is leading the attack himself," Devimon said.
"Capture Andromon alive. He has secrets stored in his memory circuits. Do what you wish to his unit," Myotismon ordered.
"As you wish, master," Devimon said. He takes his leave. Myotismon and Duskmon grin as the secrets of the Resistance will be in their hands. Wizardmon was listening to them talking. He makes his way to a different location of the castle and made sure no one was around to eavesdrop on him.
Over to the Resistance, Leomon along with Agunimon and a red dinosaur Digimon were sitting around. He has yellow eyes three claws on each hand and two claws on the front of each foot, and one claw on the back of each foot. He also has two wing-like appendages on his head. He also has white scales on his belly, and aharzard logoon it. He also has black horizontal lines on his arms, legs, neck, back, and tail, two black marks under his eyes, and a black triangle mark on each shoulder. Also there is bipedalfox-like Digimon. Most of her body is covered in yellow fur, save for the tips of her tail and ears, underbelly, hands and legs from the knees down, and the purple Cancer symbols on her thighs. She also has wing-like tufts of yellow fur on her shoulders and a large, mane-like tuft of white fur on her chest. She wore purple sleeves that cover her forearms with yin-yang symbols on the back of the hands. She has three clawed fingers on her hands and three clawed toes on her feet. She has black eyes with indigo pupils. Wizardmon makes contact with his magic.
"Leomon, this is Wizardmon. Come in," Wizardmon said.
"Report, Wizardmon," Leomon said.
"I just gotten word that Devimon is leading the attack to the Factory area. Myotismon had just discovered Andromon survived the attack from the Megadramon," Wizardmon reported.
"Good work. I'll send Beetlemon and Kazemon over there there now," Leomon said. Wizardmon nods as he broke contact.
"How did they hear about Andrmon?" The red dinosaur Digimon asked.
"Myotismon must have a mole inside one of the units, like we do," Leomon said. "We must be cautious, Guilmon."
"Leomon is correct. If there is a traitor in our ranks, then I don't doubt they will learn about Wizardmon soon enough," the fox Digimon said.
"What do we do if we find the traitor, Renamon?" Guilmon asked. Leomon spoke for her.
"We do nothing for now. We don't know for certain if there is a mole. This secret is to be between the three of us. No one is to know this until we have proof that there is a mole," Leomon said. Guilmon and Renamon both agreed since they didn't want to risk Wizardmon in danger. Listening on the conversation is a virus-like Digimon with an creepy grin. He has long arms and has long ear-like appendages. He has so many tentacles and green eyes. He got the info he needed and took off. He makes a sound, alerting Guilmon, Renamon, and Leomon.
"A spy!" Guilmon exclaimed.
"Get him!" Leomon ordered. Guilmon, Renamon, and Leomon chases after the spy as he turned to attack.
"Bug Blaster!" The spy shouted as he Spews out an exceptionally destructive bullet of light while laughing. Leomon, Guilmon, and Renamon avoids him and chase after him. Renamon jumps and spreads her arms out.
"Diamond Storm!" Renamon shouted as sharpened diamonds heads towards the Digimon. He avoids the attack as Guilmon moves right in.
"Pyro Sphere!" Guilmon shouted as he fires a red fireball at him. Leomon jumps up and pulls his fist back.
"Fist Of The Beast King!" Leomon shouted as he fires an aura shaped like a lion's head and it's giving off a lion's roar. It struck the Digimon, causing him to dissolve. Agunimon comes when he hears the commotion.
"What happened?" Agunimon asked.
"A Keramon was spying on us. He had been disposed," Leomon said.
"Have we been compromised?" Agunimon asked.
"It would appear so. It is not safe here. We must move," Leomon said. Before the Resitance could move on, Kazemon and Beetlemon were given their tasks to aid Andromon.
Back in Floraroma Town, it was now the day of the Pokémon Contest. Kairi wore the same dress she wore in the Jubilife CIty Pokémon Contest as Kenny wore a short teal jacket with gold trim and shoulder pads, a teal vest over a white dress shirt with a dark teal tie, a pink belt, teal pants with gold vertical stripes, white leggings, and dark teal shoes.
"Miles and miles of beautiful scented flowers, intermingling with miles and miles of excited Pokémon and their Coordinators, can mean only one thing: it's time for the Floraroma Town Pokémon Contest! The one event on the Contest calander that promises to blend nature's wonders with the wonders of the Pokémon world, in all its radiant glory!" Marian announced.The crowd all starts cheering hard as the Contest was about to begin. "As you all undoubtedly know, the Coordinator who wins at five contest locations throughout the Sinnoh region and gathers five contest ribbons, will then be able to stand proudly on the stage to compete in the prestigious Grand Festival!" Marian holds out an orange ribbon. "And here is one of those five spectactular ribbons for all to see! The faboulous Floraroma Ribbon!" The audience all roar as they saw the ribbon.
"That's a pretty ribbon," Veemon said.
"And if Kairi wins that ribbon, she'll have three left to gain," Ventus said.
"That's right, Ven. But she'll have to win it first," Sora said.
"Now for our judges. First is our Conest Director, Mr. Contesta!" Marian announced. Mr. Contesta stepped up.
"Yes, thank you! I welcome each and every one of you to our contest in this beautiful city of flowers!" Mr. Contersta said.
"Next, Mr. Suziko, from the Pokémon Fan Club!" Marian announced. Mr. Suziko walked up.
"Remarkable! Thank you!" Mr. Suziko said.
"And finally, joining us for this Contest, a member of the Sinnoh region's Elite Four and an ace of Ground Type Pokémon is Bertha!" Marian announced. Out came an old aging woman wearing a brown scarf, a white buttoned coat, a black skirt, long grey socks and black shoes.
"Hello everyone!" Bertha greeted.
"Of course, you know me! Yes, I'm your humble emcee Marian!" Marian announced as the audience applauds.
"Wow, a member of the Elite Four of the Sinnoh region. Didn't expect to see someone like her here," Sora said.
"Who is that?" Agumon asked.
"Bertha is a member of the Elite Four of the Sinnoh region. The Elite Four is a group of four powerful trainers. Each member specializes with a spefic Type like the Gym Leaders. Kanto and Hoenn also has an Elite Four. From what I heard, Bertha uses Ground Types. The other three happens to be Aaron, who uses Bug Type Pokémon, Flint who specializes with Fire Type Pokémon, and Lucian who uses Psychic Type Pokémon," Terra explained.
"And now for the first round! Where Coordinators get to show their Pokémon in their best light! So, let's get this show on the road!" Marian announced. Kairi steps in as the first Coordinator. "Stepping in first is Kairi! Let's give her a big hand!" The crowd all cheer for Kairi as she entered.
"Is that the dress she wore before? She looks very pretty," Patamon said. Kairi takes out her Pokéball in a Ball Capsule with a Blue Line Seal and then threw it.
"Morpeko! Come on out!" Kairi called out as the Pokéball opens and Morpeko comes out out as the blue lines forms a huge ribbon. Morpeko comes rolling in on top of the ribbon. The ribbon dissolves into small sparkles.
"And Morpeko provides a lovely electrical display!" Marian announced. Morpeko does a little face, making the audience's hearts melt.
"Morpeko! Begin with Aura Wheel!" Kairi ordered. Morpeko begins to run as electricity builds up as she runs. The Aura Wheel becomes so beautiful as Morpeko runs faster and faster.
"Morpeko begins with a dazzling Aura Wheel! And it's getting prettier the faster Morpeko is running!" Marian announced. Aura Wheel starts to go straight up into the air. "Now, Aura Wheel is going up! What does she have in store here?" Kairi was about to answer her question.
"Now use Bullet Seed all around!" Kairi ordered. Morpeko fires Bullet Seed all around the Aura Wheel, causing it to turn into small particles.
"Kairi and her Morpeko has turned Aura Wheel into a fabulous sparkle show! Let's hear what our judges has to say!" Marian announced.
"That was a very creative use of Aura Wheel and Bullet Seed!" Mr. Contesta said.
"Very remarkable!" Mr. Suziko said.
"I was captivated by the display. It shows how well she has raised her Morpeko!" Bertha said.
The contest went on as more of the Pokémon has shown off their talent. A Koffing letting out some white smoke, a Hitmontop spinning through empty soda cans and forms a Hitmontop smiley face, a Sealeo balancing a ball on its nose, and a Kricketune displaying its cutting ability. And next is a man who plays a flute to charm an Arbok. He is dressed in Arabian clothing and a turban. His Arbok moves around as the man. Arbok used Poison Sting and Dark Pulse just by how the flute is played.
"That was a wonderful performance by Raj! Now next up we have Kenny!" Marian announced as Kenny walks on stage.
"Alakazam! Hit!" Kenny shouted as he threw his Pokéball in a Ball Capsule with a Fire Seal. His Alakazam makes a burning entrance. Alakazam twirls its spoons.
"And Alakazam makes a fiery entrance!" Marian announced.
Use Light Screen!" Kenny ordered. Alakazam forms Light Screen all around itself in a golden box.
"That Light Screen's totally boxed Alakazam in!" Marian announced.
"Now, use Shadow Ball!" Kenny ordered. Alakazam forms Shadow Ball by placing its two spoons together. The Shadow Ball engulfs Alakazam inside it. "Use Teleport!" Alakazam uses Teleport just before the Light Screen box explodes. Alakazam reappears, astounding everyone. "Now Hidden Power!" Alakazam's body becomes outlined in yellow and it points its spoons in front of it. Multiple light blue circles are then released and circle around Alakazam.
"Now there's a classic Psi Pokémon action for you! Beautiful, powerful moves that make you feel just like when you a young kid watching a magic show!" Marian announced. Sora, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, and the Digimon were all amazed by the display Kenny's Alakazam was showing off. Alakazam's Hidden Power vaporates into small sparkles as the crowd applauds.
"Kenny's been working hard, showing off those moves," Terra said.
"And not to mention, that Alakazam is pretty strong too," Ventus added.
"Okay, with that we wrap up our first round! Now, let's make a brief pause and let our judges do their thing!" Marian announced. After a few minutes of waiting, the judges have made their decisions. "All right, we're set! So here are the judges' results for the first round! Eight impressive Coordinators will be moving on. And here they are!" Concratulations!" Kairi and Kenny both made it to the final eight.
"Kairi made it in!" Gomamon said.
"I knew she would," Sora said.
"After that stunt with Morpeko and what Agumon said, it's no wonder," Wormmon said.
"Time to find out the Round Two match-ups!And you all know how we do that! our computer gives it a random shuffle!" The computer shuffles the eight finalists as Kairi is in the first round as Kenny is the fourth round. Kairi brushes the elesquirrel Pokémon's fur as she got ready for her upcoming battle.
"Are you ready, Pachirisu?" Kairi asked.
"Pachi!" Pachirisu said.
"Hey, Kairi," Kenny said. She turned to Kenny. "Break a leg out there."
"You do the same, Kenny," Kairi said.
Kairi and Kenny had their battles and won. Kairi won against a Coordinaotr with a Dustox as Kenny won against a Nidoking. Kairi's Pachirisu had won over a Bagon as Kenny won over a Coordinator witha Solrock asfter battling a Sneasel.
"Alright, now it's time for the final stage," Marian annoucned. The crowd cheered. "And here are our dueling Coordinators! It's Kenny on the left and Kairi on the right! To those who forgot, the matches are five minutes on the clock! Let's go!" The clock starts running as Kairi and Kenny made sent out their chosen Pokémon. Pachirisu's Pokéball was placed in a Ball Capsule with ablue Ele-Seal on it.
"Go! Pachirisu!" Kairi called out as Pachirisu came right out with a blue electric spark.
"Prinplup! Now, let's hit it!" Kenny called out as his Pokéball was placed in a Ball Capsule with a yellow Star Seal. Prinplup came out with so many stars coming right out.
"There you go! It's Prinplup against Pachirisu! Will Pachirisu defend its honor as an Electric Type or will Prinplup win over its weakness against Electric Type attacks?" Marian asked.
"Pachirisu! Use Quick Attack!" Kairi ordered. Pachirisu ran across the stage to land a hit.
"And it's Kairi who starts things up with Quick Attack!" Marian announced.
"Prinplup! Drill Peck!" Kenny ordered. Prinplup heads right towards Pachirisu to deliever a Drill Peck hit.
"Now Prinplup is coming right towards Pachirisu with a Drill Peck! How will Pachirisu stand against this?" Marian asked. Once Prinplup got close enough, he dodged Prinplup's attack and does a little twirl.
"What the?!" Kenny exclaimed.
"Pachirisu! Use Electro Web!" Kairi ordered. Pachirisu forms an electrified web and hurls it right at the penguin Pokémon and got tangled inside it. It cost Kenny a huge sum of points.
"Wow! Pachirisu was leading Prinplup into a trap! How unfortunate for Kenny and Prinplup!" Marian announced.
"So that's why she decided to use Pachirisu for the second round. It'll be just so as Kairi could use Electro Web," Aqua said.
"She did train for many days for this," Terra said.
"She sure did. And it looks like it paid off. Also, watching that battle yesterday must have given her an idea if I know my girlfriend," Sora said.
"You mean just from watching Prinplup taking in Thunderbolt?" Palmon asked.
"Yes. Kenny was probably expecting Kairi to go with Thunderbolt, but Pachirisu doesn't know that move," Terra said.
"I thought she was going to use Thunderbolt on my. She must have gotten wise to me after that battle before that bug thing interrupted," Kenny said in his thoughts.
"Prinplup! Break your way out of that! Use Metal Claw!" Kenny called out. Prinplup uses his flippers to cut out of Pachirisu's Electro Web.
"And now, Prinplup is out of the Electro Web and ready to come back with a vengeance!" Marian announced.
"Pachirisu! Discharge!" Kairi ordered.
"Get ready, Prinplup!" Kenny said. Prinplup got ready for Pachirisu's attack. "Metal Claw!" Pachirisu shot out Discharge all over the stage, captivating the audience as everyone saw how beautiful it was. Even Marian was impressed.
"That is something I wasn't expecting! Pachirisu has sent out a breathtaking and electrifying Discharge, striking Prinplup in the process!" Marian announced. Kenny loses some more points along the way. Kenny was shocked, and not literally, to witness the elesquirrel Pokémon give off a display.
"This battle is something else! I can see why she won the Hoenn Grand Festival. But I'm not going to go down that easily. Prinplup! Bubble Beam all around!" Kenny ordered. Prinplup fires Bubble Beam all around and Kairi loses some points from each hit. Kairi's points were quickly dwindling.
"Kenny is making a fierce comeback with that Bubble Beam! And we're halfway done with this battle!" Marian announced. The clock was pass two and a half minutes. Kairi knew she'll bounce right back.
"Pachirisu! Quick Attack!" Kairi ordered. Pachirisu ran across the battlefield. And heads right towards Prinplup.
"And what could Kairi be up to?" Marian asked. Pachirisu gets close enough to the penguin Pokémon.
"Now use Sweet Kiss!" Kairi ordered. Pachirisu blows a kiss at the opponent, releasing a pink heart at it. When the heart hits Prinplup, the penguin Pokémon became totally confused.
"Pachirisu planted a Sweet Kiss onto Prinplup, making it totally confused! And it's going to cost Kenny some points!" Marian announced. She was right because Kenny lost some points when Prinplup smacked itself in its confusion.
"Electro Web!" Kairi ordered. Pachirisu forms a web of electricity and traps Prinplup once again. Kenny loses some points from that one.
"We're now down to thirty seconds left on the clock!" Marian announced.
"Prinplup! Metal Claw!" Kenny ordered. Prinplup tries to get loose, but ends up getting smacked in its own confusion. Kenny lost some more points.
"Discharge!" Kairi ordered. Pachirisu gave Prinplup another Discharge and has earned a knockout with ten seconds remaining.
"Kenny is all out of points! The winners of the Floraroma Town Pokémon Contest are Kairi and her wonderful Pachirisu!" Marian announced. The crowd goes wild for Kairi on her win. " And now, Mr. Contesta will the prestigious Floraroma Ribbon to our winning Coordinator, Kairi!" Mr. Contesta hands Kairi her second Contest Ribbon.
"Congratulations! You have come a long way since your very first Contest, and you have shined in many ways since then," Mr. Contesta said. Kairi accepts her Ribbon.
"Thank you," Kairi said.
"And that ladies and gentlemen has brought us to the end of this year's flowery fragrant Floraroma Town Pokémon Contest! And don't forget, there are more exciting events on this year's calendar, but we'll see you back her next year!" Marian announced.
With the Contest over and done with, Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, and the Digimon got ready to set off for Eterna City for Sora's second Gym battle. And the excitement continues on afterwards.
