Episode 332: From Here to Eterna Forest
A few days has passed since meeting with Nurse Joy and her family and Kairi had caught three of Eevee evolved forms. By then, they continued on towards Eterna City. Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, and the Digimon were getting closer than ever to Eterna City. As they kept going, they picked up a whiff.
"Phew, what's that smell?" Sora asked.
"It's smells so bad here!" Ventus said, holding his nose. Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, and the Digimon all tried to cover their noses to keep the foul smell out. The group saw a Stunky come from the nearby bushes.
"That explains the smell," Meowth said.
"What is that thing?" Gatomon asked.
"A Stunky. If you think Grimer are smelly, these guys are smelly," Meowth said.
"What does your Pokédex say about that?" Agumon asked.
"I was about to get to that," Sora said, taking out his Pokédex and scanned the skunk-like Pokémon.
Stunky, the Skunk Pokémon
Type: Poison/Dark
From its rear, it sprays a foul-smelling liquid at opponents. It aims for their faces, and it can hit them from over 16 feet away. If it lifts its tail and points its rear at you, beware. It's about to spray you with a fluid stinky enough to make you faint. The smell lingers for twenty-four hours.
"Twenty-four stinky hours," Sora said. He placed his Pokédex in his pocket. Stunky spewed a stream of acid at them. "Acid Drench! Duck!" They all ducked out of the way. "Okay, Stunky, you asked for it! Pikachu! Go!" Pikachu went to battle the skunk Pokémon. "Thunderbolt!" Pikachu launched a Thunderbolt at Stunky, but dodged out of the way and came at him with a Night Slash attack. Stunky lands a bit onto Pikachu.
"What was that?" Armadillomon asked.
"That was Night Slash. And that was a strong one," Terra said. Stunky fires another Acid Drench at Pikachu. "Dodge it!" Pikachu avoids Acid Drench as he jumped out of the way. "Now, use Iron Tail!" Pikachu swings his tail at the skunk Pokémon, landing a hit. Sora took out a Pokéball and threw it at Stunky and flows inside. The Pokéball wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch. Sora's Pokémon Box activates and it asks him if he wants to keep Stunky with him. He chose to send Stunky over to Professor Oak's lab.
"And that's game," Sora said. He went up to Pikachu and rubbed his head. "Good work, buddy."
"Pika," Pikachu said.
Just then, a woman, with brown hair and bue eys came along. She wore a yellow suit that is suitable for a news reporter and is holding a microphone. Among the news crew is an obese man, carrying a michrohone boom.
"That was an impressive catch!" The woman said, holding the microphone.
"Uh, who are you?" Sora asked.
"The name's Rhonda form 'Sinnonh Now'. And you catching that Stunky and the way you handled your Pikachu is very impressive! Might I ask for you name?" Rhonda asked.
"I'm Sora," Sora said.
"Sora? As in Sora Ketchum, the Pokémon League Champion of Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn?" Rhonda asked.
"Yeah," Sora said.
"Well, this is a nice suprise, because it's not very often that we meet a Pokémon trainer of your stats! Are you by chance stopping by the Pokémon training camp?" Rhonda asked.
"Pokémon training camp?" Sora asked.
"It's just up ahead," Rhonda said. "We're doing a story on the camp. Our focus is on two of the camp's trainers and their ability to test the strength of any trainer they challenge." The michrophone boom holder, struggles to hold it and he accidentally hits her on the head. "Watch it, Jack! You're supposed to mike me, not hit me!"
"Sorry, Rhonda!" Jack apologized quickly.
"I swear, you're going to be out of the job if you keep that up!" Rhonda said.
"Sorry," Jack apologized again.
Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, and the Digimon all entered the training camp and saw all sorts of trainers and Pokémon. Crossing a bridge, they met a couple of trainers who are twin boys, both with their green hair with different hairstyles. One has a Quilava and the other has a Croconaw. They were battling two trainers with a bipedal Pokémon that shares traits with both sharks and dragons. It is a dark-blue grey with a red underside, which is connected to a lavender colored bottom. Its wings resemble pointed fins with one long claw on each one, and its legs have three claws on each of its feet and two claws on each of its knees. It has a large dorsal fin on its back. It has a long, segmented tail with one fin on it. On its head are two horns with a lavender stripe in them. Its eyes have black sclerae and yellow irises, and it has visible other one is feline, quadrupedal Pokémon resembling a young lynx or lion. Blue and black fur covers most of its body. Its ears, face, hind paws, and front half of its body are blue, while its hindquarters are black. Additionally, It has a tufty black mane surrounding its face. The insides of its rounded ears are yellow, as are its eyes. There are two yellow rings around each front leg and a yellow, four-point star on the tip of its tail. Rhonda and her crew are filming the battle.
"A battle's going on," Ventus said.
"A Quilava and a Croconaw against a Gabite and a Luxio," Meowth said. Sora took out his Pokédex and scanned them both.

Type: Electric
Its claws loose electricity with enough amperage to cause fainting. They live in small groups. By gathering their tails together, they collectively generate powerful electricity from their claws.

Type: Dragon/Ground
This Pokémon emits ultrasonic waves from a protrusion on either side of its head to probe pitch-dark caves. Jewels are buried in the caves these Pokémon nest in, but you'll be torn apart by claws and fangs the moment you enter one of these caves.
"Gabite has the advantage over Quilava being a Ground Type Pokémon," Sora said.
"The same can be said about Luxio being an Electric Type Pokémon since he's against Croconaw," Kairi said.
"Gabite! Dual Chop on Quilava!" One trainer ordered.
"Luxio! Use Thunder Fang on Croconaw!" Another trainer ordered.
Gabite and Luxio both headed for the Quilava and Luxio, but the twins had an ace up their sleeves.
"Quilava! Use Flame Wheel!" One twin ordered. Quilava rolled into a ball of fire and alnds a hit onto Luxio.
"Croconaw! Use Water Gun!" The other twin ordered. Croconaw fired Water Gun right at Gabite.
"One more Flame Wheel, Quilava!" The first twin ordered. Quilava lands a hit onto both of them.
"No! Gabite!" Gabite's trainer gasped.
"My poor Luxio!" Luxio's trainer cried.
"Yeah, we rule!" The twins both cheered.
"That's sixteen wins in a row!" The twin with the Quilava said. "Oofah!"
"Doofah!" The twin with the Croconaw cheered.
"We're very awesome!" The twins high-fived each other.
"Who are you?" Ventus asked. The twins noticed them.
"Hey there. I'm Ryan," the twin with the Quilava introduced.
"And I'm Bryan!" The twin with the Croconaw introduced.
"We're called the Champ Twins!" The twins said in unison.
"Hey, aren't you Sora Kethum, the Pokémon League Champion of Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn?" Ryan asked.
"We heard that he is here in the Sinnoh region, and he earned himself a Coal Badge from Roark," Bryan said.
"You heard right. On our way to Eterna City for my second Gym battle," Sora said.
"Hey, Ryan, how about we challenge him into a tag abattle against one of his friends?" Bryan suggested.
"Good idea, Bryan. Who wants to join up with Sora against us?" Ryan asked.
"Because we only do tag battles," Bryan said.
"I would gladly join up," Kairi said. Sora and Kairi both hold hands as they get started on their battle. Sora took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go right in, Turtwig!" Sora called out as Turtwig enters the fray.
"Go! Vaporeon!" Kairi called out as Vaporeon came out to battle.
"Quilava! Flamethrower on Turtwig!" Ryan ordered. Quilava fires Flamethrower right at Turtwig.
"Vaporeon! Water Gun to block Flamethrower!" Kairi ordered. Vaporeon fires Water Gun to block Quilava's Flamethrower.
"Nice one, Kairi!" Sora complimented.
"Thanks Sora," Kairi said.
"Turtwig! Razor Leaf on Croconaw!" Sora ordered. Turtwig fires Razor Leaf right at the crocodilian Pokémon.
"Dodge and use Slash!" Bryan ordered. Croconaw avoids Turtwig's Razor Leaf and heads right towards Croconaw to deliever a Slash. Turtwig got hit by Croconaw's Slash.
"Vaporeon! Aqua Tail on Croconaw!" Kairi ordered. Aqua lands a hit onto Croconaw. "Now use Water Gun!" Vaporeon fires Water Gun, landing a hit on Croconaw. "Now use Aqua Tail on Quilava!" Vaporeon smacks Quilava with Aqua Tail.
"Quilava! Swift!" Ryan ordered. Quilava fires Swift right at the couple's Pokémon.
"Turtwig! Razor Leaf!" Sora ordered. Turtwig fires Razor Leaf right at the stars, cutting them up into ribbons.
"Croconaw! Hydro Pump on Turtwig!" Bryan ordered. Croconaw fired Hydro Pump right at Turtwig.
"Vaporeon! Get in front of Turtwig!" Kairi called out. Vaporeon jumps in front of the tiny leaf Pokémon and takes the hit. Vaporeon absorbs the water.
"What is happening to Vaporeon?" Gatomon asked.
"It's Vaporeon's ability called Water Absorb. Any Water Type attack that normally does damage helps its user by healing its injuries," Terra explained.
"Use Tackle!" Sora ordered.
"Quick Attack!" Kairi ordered.
Turtwig and Vaporeon landed a hit onto the evolved Starter Pokémon of Johto.
"Use Razor Leaf!" Sora ordered.
"Vaporeon! Use Aurora Beam!" Kairi ordered.
Both of the Pokémon both fired their attacks at the same time, making it into a combo attack onto Quilava and Croconaw, earning a double knockout, cutting the Champ Twins' winning streak short.
"No way!" The Champ Twins cried.
"And there you have it! SoKai has defeated the Champ Twins after they were hoping for a sixteenth win in a row!" Rhonda announced as she got hit on the head with the michrophone boom once again. "Ouch!" She turned to Jack with a sour look on her face.
"Sorry," Jack quickly apologized.
"You're going to be if you keep doing that!" Rhonda hissed. She sets her attention to the couple. "Not even the Champ Twins are a match for this power couple!"
"Wow, that was an awesome battle, you two," Bryan said.
"We can see why you're so good," Ryan added.
"Thanks," Kairi said.
"Thanks you both," Sora said.
"No prob! We'll just start all over again! Yeah!" Ryan said.
Yeah!" Bryan added.
The Champ Twins ran off to start over to build their winning streak.
They all had their meal together after a win the couple had. Pikachu, Piplup, Staravia, Turtwig, Chimchar, and Scorbunny Angel, Jolteon, Flareon, Vaporeon, Buneary, and Hattrem had all enjoyed the Pokémon food Kairi had made for them. Flareon and Jolteon were skeptical of the female Eevee being a couple with a Pikachu, but Vaporeon thought it was cute. She supported her in every way. Flareon and Jolteon understood on them being a pair when Scorbunny explained it to them. Buneary nuzzles Scorbunny affectionately and he nuzzles her back. After the meal had concluded, they entered the Eterna Forest as the sun was setting. They weren't aware of a Leafeon in the area. This Pokémon eyed the female Eevee and followed them into the forest. Night has come quickly in Eterna Forest as Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, and the Digimon all got settled.
"Looks too dark to keep going, so we'll have to get a move on in the morning," Sora said.
"Yeah, we could end up lost if we aren't careful," Biyomon said.
"And what good timing anyway, because I'm starting to get sleepy," Meowth said.
"Aren't there Pokémon that come out at night?" Veemon asked.
"Usually Ghost and Dark Type Pokémon. But we should leave them alone and they'll leave us alone," Sora said. Kairi pulled her sleeping bag and laied down next to Sora. "Night, Kairi." Kairi gave Sora a kiss on the lips.
"Good night, Sora," Kairi said.
Everyone all fell asleep as the forest Pokémon all around were coming and going by them. The Leafeon from before slept close to them after a long day.
On the very next morning, they all woke up feeling so great.
"What a sleep," Agumon said, stretching his arms.
"Sure was," Gabumon agreed.
"I'm feeling mighty hungry," Wormmon said.
Just then, Pikachu, Angel, and Meowth all smell something.
"Pika," Pikachu said.
"Eevee," Angel added.
"I smell it too," Meowth said. Ventus turned to the scratch cat Pokémon.
"Smell what?" Ventus asked.
"Honey!" Meowth yelled, catching everyone by surprise as he went off to follow it.
"Meowth! Where are you going?" Sora asked. Everyone were all chasing after the scratch cat Pokémon through the woods. Leafeon was following them through the woods. Meowth runs into a very large tree and climbs right up as he joins in on a binge of honey. Feeding on the honey are two Caterpie, a Ledyba, a Shroomish, and a Sunkern.
"Scoot over, guys, becuase I want some of that honey!" Meowth said, licking it.
"It's honey!" Terra said. "Someone must have placed it on that tree to lure those Pokémon." A Burmy is drawn to the smell of honey and starts to head right for it. "A Burmy."
"A Burmy?" Sora asked, taking out his Pokédex and scanned it.
Burmy, the Bagworm Pokémon
Type: Bug
To shelter itself from cold, wintry winds, it covers itself with a cloak made of twigs and leaves. If its cloak is broken in battle, it quickly remakes the cloak with materials nearby.
The Burmy went right up to the tree to have some of the honey. Burmy wanted to get Meowth to move.
"Wait your turn like everyone else!" Meowth said. Burmy fell off, leaving itself exposed. Burmy hastily puts the leaves right abck on asa young woman and a Chansey come right out of the bushes. The young woman has light gray eyes, slightly pale skin, and long dark green hair tied in a segmented ponytail that hangs down in front of her. She wears a modest, conservative outfit that consists of a light green and white long-sleeved semi-jacket, a brown undershirt, a long dark green pleated skirt, and tall brown boots with slightly tall heels.
"Chansey, it's time," the young woman said.
"Chansey," the Chansey agreed. The Burmy places the leaves right back in place as she and the Chansey approached the Pokémon. Everyone all see her, knowing she's a trainer.
"Chansey, use Attract!" The young woman ordered. Chansey uses Attract on the wild Burmy and fell in love with Chansey. "Yes, a male Burmy, liked I hoped! How beautiful! Chansey! Double Slap!" Chansey heads for Burmy and lands a Double Slap onto the bagworm Pokémon. Burmy fights back with a Tackle. "Wow, what a great Tackle! Now, Chansey, let's use another Double Slap!" Chansey gives Burmy another Double Slap on the mark, but Burmy starts up by using Protect. "Now, Chansey! Use Egg Bomb!" Chansey fires an egg-like projectile at the Burmy and lands an explosion. Burmy fell to the ground. "That's perfect!" The young woman took out a Pokéball and threw it. Burmy flows right inside and the Pokéball wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch. "I've finally got one!"
"Chansey!" The Chansey said. The young woman and the Chansey saw Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Pikachu, Angel, and the Digimon looking at her while Meowth is still slurping some honey.
"Hello there, were you there long?" The young woman asked.
"Yeah. We were," Sora said.
"Were you the ones who placed that honey there?" Aqua asked.
"Yes I was. My name is Cheryl. It's nice to meet you," Cheryl said.
"I'm Sora, this is my girlfriend Kairi and my cousin Ventus," Sora introduced.
"Call me Ven," Ventus added.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Nice to meet you, Cheryl. This Eevee is Angel," Kairi introduced.
"I'm Terra."
"My name's Aqua."
"And we're Digimon. I'm Agumon. This is Gabumon, Veemon, Palmon, Biyomon, Gomamon, Patamon, Armadillomon, Hawkmon, Wormmon, Tentomon, and Gatomon," Agumon introduced.
"A pleasure to meet you," Cheryl said.
"Chansey," Chansey said.
"So, Cheryl, what brings you out here?" Sora asked.
"I'm actually looking for Enchanted Honey," Cheryl said.
"Enchanted Honey?" Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, and Aqua asked.
"What's Enchanted Honey?" Terra asked.
"It's a honey that's said to be hundreds time sweeter than normal honey," Cheryl explained. "I want it and that's what I came here to find."
"Hundreds of times sweeter. Man, Winnie the Pooh would have loved taht" Ventus said.
"Yeah, he sure would," Sora said, rubbing his head. "I can imagine how many Pokémon honey like that would attract."
"What makes you think you can find that honey out here?" Kairi asked. Cheryl took out a map and shows the group the map of the entire forest.
"Look at this," Cheryl said. "This map is the entire Eterna Forest. And this X is where I'm heading." She points to the X on the map. "It's the Amber Castle."
"A castle?" Biyomon asked.
"It's a secret castle that no one's eer benn to yet. And that's where the Enchanted Honey is rumored to be," Cheryl said.
"So cool," Ventus said.
"You think we can go with with you and help you look?" Sora asked.
"I welcome all the help I can get. Thank you. It's always fun to get to know new people," Cheryl said.
"Also, I was wondering on why you wanted a boy Burmy?" Ventus asked.
"That's a good question, Ven. The answer is, I thought of having a male Burmy to evolve into a Mothim," Cheryl explained.
"That's right, that makes sense. Also, a female Burmy evolves into Wormadam," Terra said.
"I caught three Wormadam and I'll show you to them," Cheryl said, taking out three Pokéballs and lets out her three Pokémon. They were all identical, but they all had their own differences. One of them has several white flowers covering it and gives it a green-tipped beak and large leaves for arms. The other one is dotted with reddish-brown rocks, and have chains of pebbles for arms and a brown tipped beak.. And the third one has a pink-tipped beak and long, dark pink ribbons for arms. Sora took out his Pokédex and scanned them.

Its appearance changes depending on where it evolved. The materials on hand become a part of its body. The cloak will never be shed.
"All three Wormadam forms," Terra said.
"Didn't the Pokédex just say that their appearance depends on where they evolved?" Patamon asked.
"Yes. The Plant Cloak Wormadam came from the forest, the Sandy Cloak Wormadam came from the mountains, and the Trash Cloak Wormadam came from the city," Terra said.
"With these three, I can see why you wanted a boy Burmy," Kairi said.
"But why is Mothim so important to you?" Gabumon asked.
"A Mothim can use a powerful scense of smell to guide me to the Amber Castle and Enchanted Honey, but I need my new Burmy to evolve into a Mothim before anything else," Cheryl said.
"Maybe we could help Burmy evolve into a Mothim just by battling. Many Pokémon can evolve just by gaining some experience in battle," Armadillomon suggested.
"That's a capital idea, Armadillomon," Hawkmon agreed.
"Yeah, good call," Sora said.
"We also have to get Meowth down from there," Gatomon said.
"Leave that to me," Tentomon said, buzzing up to the tree and grabbed him by the tail.
"Hey, I'm not done yet!" Meowth said, reaching for the honey. The flying bug Digimon drops him down to the ground.
"Oh, a talking Meowth? I never expected you had one of those," Cheryl said.
"He's one of a kind," Sora said.
"Why did you bring me down here?" Meowth asked.
"We're going to need your help with the battling. So, how about it?" Sora asked.
"A battle? You should have asked," Meowth said. "Okay, here comes a Fury Swipes!" Meowth ran towrds Burmy as he lands a tackle onto Meowth. "Ouch! That's a good strong Tackle" Burmy gave Meowth a Bug Bite on the tail, making him yelp in pain. "YEOW!" He ran around to shake Burmy off. "Ouch, ouch, ouch, ouch, ouch!" He continued to run. Gatomon was embarrassed just by watching him.
"Oh brother," Gatomon said, doing a facepalm.
"Get off, get off, get off!" Meowth yelled. Burmy then started to evolve, letting go of Meowth's tail. Burmy then evolved into a mouth-like Pokémon. He has yellow wings with orange on the outer and inner tips. His antennae are white, with orange on top. His eyes are orange. His base body is black, with an orange stripe, and white legs.
"Is that-?" Wormmon asked.
"Yes! It's a Mothim!" Cheryl said happily. Sora took out his Pokédex and scanned the newly evolved Pokémon.
Mothim, the Moth Pokémon
The evolved form of the male Burmy
Type: Bug/Flying
It does not keep a nest. It flies over fields and mountains in constant search of floral honey. It flutters around at night and steals honey from the Combee hive.
"Looks like you got your wish, Cheryl," Sora said.
"It's thanks to you, Sora," Cheryl said.
"Is it over yet?" Meowth asked.
"Yeah, it's over. You can stop now, Meowth," Sora said.
"Good. Next time, fill me in on what I'm up against, the both of you," Meowth said, seeing double.
Joined by Cheryl, Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, and the Digimon followed Mothim to obtain the Enchanted Honey in the Amber Castle. Mothim kept on flying and searching for the Enchanted Honey for many hours. So far, they kept hitting dead ends as Mothim kept leading them into some trees with honey on them. Leafeon folloowed them though the forest.
"This isn't going as easy as any of us thought," Veemon said.
"No one said it was going to be easy. And if this Amber Castle is so hard to find, I know I'd wouldn't want anyone to find it," Aqua said.
"It's getting late. We'll have to press on again tomorrow," Terra said.
"That's a good idea, because my claws are about to fall off," Gomamon said, panting. Everyone all stopped to camp for the night. One the very next morning, Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, the Digimon, and Cheryl continued for their search for the Enchanted Honey. Cheryl ends up getting tangled in some vines when they were going, so Hawkmon cuts her loose with his Feather Strike, causing the Kakuna in the tree to fall off.
"Uh-oh! Kakuna!" Sora gasped.
"And Kakuna means Beedrill!" Terra said.
They started to run for it before any of the Kakuna could evolve into angry Beedrill. Mothim dove in the shrubs and drove out a wild Gloom.
"What Pokémon is that?" Tentomon asked.
"It's Gloom, the Weed Pokémon!" A young woman answered, making her appearence from out of nowhere. She has brown eyes and short half-brown, half-black hair. She wore a black long-sleeved crop top that shows her midriff under a green cloak with a black "X" mark in the center. She wore brown cargo shorts and a black belt with a silver buckle around her waist. Finally, she wore green boots with black laces. She does a camera motion with her hands. "It gives off a powerful aroma that can cause those who smell it to faint from two miles away! And this Gloom is a male!" Gloom ran away from Mothim and gave off a foul-smelling aroma.
"And I thought Stunky stunk," Patamon said, covering his nose.
"You took the words right out of my mouth," Gabumon said.
"Aw, I really wanted to catch him, but too late," the young woman said, holding a Pokéball. She spots Palmon with the group and ran up to the plant-like Digimon with awe. "Aren't you the prettiest thing?" She nuzzles her in her grip. "I never seen anything like you before! Who does this little one belong to?"
"Palmon's with all of us," Sora said.
"Palmon? Is that what you're called?" The young woman asked.
"That is my name," Palmon said.
"Oh my gosh, it talks! And it has a very cute voice! Whoever trains this little one, would you like to trade the Pokémon I've got? A Bellossom, a Cacnea, or maybe a Victreebel?" The young woman asked.
"Palmon isn't a Pokémon. She's a Digimon. She's from the DIgital World," Gatomon said.
"So like he said, she's with us," Gomamon said.
"Just who are you?" Sora asked.
"My name's Gardenia. I came out here looking for Grass Type Pokémon. Anyway, wouldn't you have any Grass Type Pokémon by chance?" Gardenia asked.
"I'm Sora and yes I have some Grass Type Pokémon. I have one of them with me now," Sora said, letting out his Turtwig.
"Oh, a Turtwig! How cute! What other ones do you have?" Gardenia asked.
"Sora has a Venusaur, a Meganium, a Sceptile, a Decidueye, a Grookey, a Ludicolo, a Shiftry, a Parasect, a Breloom, a Tropius, a Dhelmise, and an Alolan Exeggutor, while Kairi has a Sunflora, a Tsareena, a Jumpluff, a Bellossom, a Tangrowth, a Kantonian Exeggutor, a Shiinotic, a Roserade, a Cradily, an Eldegoss, a Flapple, an Appletun, a Lurantis, and a Vileplume," Ventus said. Gardenia's eyes lit up when she heard him say that.
"Really?! You have a bunch of Grass Types?!" Gardenia exclaimed happily.
"Yeah," Sora said.
"We our share of Grass Types," Kairi said.
"Say, would you like to have a battle with me, Sora? If you have another Grass Type, I would like to see it with my own eyes, please," Gardenia said.
"Sure. I'll have my Grookey brought here," Sora said, taking out his Pokémon Box and exchanged Piplup for Grookey.
"Sora, aren't we in the middle of an important search right now?" Aqua asked.
"It's okay, Aqua, I don't mind if they have a battle. It just nice to let someone have some fun every now and then," Cheryl said.
"Well, of you're okay with it," Sora said. He threw his Pokéball. "Come on out, Grookey!" Grookey came on out.
"Ooh, I never seen a Grookey up close before! So adorable!" Gardenia said, picking the grass monkey Pokémon up in her arms. "Grookey are considered to be rare Pokémon here in the Sinnoh region. How about we make it a two on two battle. It'll be your Grookey and Turtwig against two of mine."
"Okay then. I'll send Grookey in first. You ready, Grookey?" Sora asked.
"Grookey!" Grookey said.
Both of Sora and Gardenia got in position for battle. Gardenia took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Cherubi! Let's go!" Gardenia called out as her Cherubi came out to battle.
"Grookey! Start things up with Scratch!" Sora ordered. Grookey starts running towards Cherubi with a Scratch. Cherubi took the hit and fell backwards. "Branch Poke!" Grookey lands a hit onto Cherubi.
"That was impressive Sora. Cherubi! Use Magical Leaf!" Gardenia ordered. Gardenia fires Magical Leaf right at Grookey.
"Block it with Razor Leaf!" Sora ordered. Grookey blocked Magical Leaf with Razor Leaf. "Now, use another Branch Poke!" Grookey moved right in and lands a hard-hitting Branch Poke, knocking out Cherubi. Grookey then started evolving.
"What's going on?" Biyomon asked.
"Grookey's evolving!" Ventus said. Grookey had now evolved right into a Thwackey.
"Thwackey!" The newly evolved Thwackey said.
"You raised your Grookey right, Sora. Just right for it to evolve into a Thwackey. I would like to see me of your Thwackey's moves," Gardenia said, calling back Cherubi. She took out another Pokéball and threw it. "Go! Turtwig!" Her Pokéball opens and let's out her own Turtwig.
"She's got a Turtwig too," Ventus said.
"Wonder how this'll go," Terra said.
"Since Grookey is a Thwackey now, that'll mean he learned a new move. Double Hit!" Sora ordered. Thwackey moved in to smack Turtwig with his branches.
"Turtwig, dodge it!" Gardenia called out. Turtwig avoids Thwackey's attack. "Use Leech Seed!" Turtwig sends out Leech Seed and planted right into Thwackey. Thwackey's stamina started to drain as Turtwig. "Leaf Storm!" Turtwig sends out a Leaf Storm and lands a hit onto the grass monkey Pokémon. Thwackey was taken down. Sora calls Thwackey back in his Pokéball and looked right at his Turtwig.
"Okay, Turtwig, it's your turn," Sora said. Sora's Turtwig nodded and went in to battle Gardenia's Turtwig. Sora didn't doubt her Turtwig is stronger thatn Sora's Turtwig, but he wasn't going to et that stop him. "Turtwig! Tackle!" Sora's Turtwig charged right at Gardenia's Turtwig.
"Dodge it," Gardenia told her Turtwig. Gardenia's Turtwig dodges Sora's Turtwig with great speed.
"Whoa! That's fast!" Veemon said.
"I'll say. I never expected Turtwig to move at that speed at all," Aqua said.
"Leaf Storm!" Gardenia ordered. Gardenia's Turtwig sends out Leaf Storm to strike Sora's Turtwig. Sora knew it was a much more powerful attack than Razor Leaf, so blocking it wasn't going to be easy. "Dodge!" Sora's Turtwig avoids Leaf Storm. Gardenia was impressive by his Turtwig's speed that almost equaled to her Turtwig. "Leech Seed!" Gardenia's Turtwig fires Leech Seed right at Sora's Turtwig. Sora's Turtwig easily dodges the attack and headed right towards Gardenia's Turtwig.
"Tackle!" Sora ordered. Sora's Turtwig charges right towards Gardenia's Turtwig.
"Dodge it!" Gardenia ordered. Turtwig jumped right up in the air. Sora had her Turtwig where he wanted it.
"Razor Leaf!" Sora ordered. Sora's Turtwig fired Razor Leaf right at Gardenia's Turtwig and fell right on the ground beaten. Gardenia was very impressed by Sora's skills. She called back her Turtwig.
"Amazing display and with skills like that, you will definitely deserve the Forest Badge," Gardenia said. Sora was surprised to hear her mentioning him earning the Forest Badge.
"How would you know about that?" Sora asked, raising a brow. Gardenia laughed.
"Because you just defeated the eterna gym leader; me," Gardenia revealed. Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, and the Digimon were all wide-eyed when she admitted she was the Gym Leader.
"Wait, you're the eterna gym leader?!" Sora exclaimed.
"Yes I'm Gardenia the Gym Leader of the Eterna City Gym who specializes on Grass Type Pokémon and I have to say, Sora I'm proud of the way you raised a strong Turtwig. And if it was me I would give your badge right now but I can't since you need to fight in the gym to earn it," Gardenia said. Sora smiled as he calls back his Turtwig and felt proud of him for winning it.
"Yeah and thanks for this experience; I'll train harder and win against you so I can have my second badge," Sora said.
"I'm already looking forward to it. I'll also be training hard for our Gym battle, so it won't be easy next time," Gardenia said. The challenge was officially made. Sora and Gardenia were going to have their next Gym battle when they meet in the Eterna City Gym. Joining them, Gardenia sat by the campfire and explained their current plan to the Eterna City Gym Leader.
"Enchanted Honey, really?" Gardenia asked.
"Really," Cheryl answered. "They say that the honey's located in the Amber Castle, which is somewhere in this forest," Cheryl said.
"Yeah, I remember hearing that too," Gardenia said.
"Then it's true," Cheryl said.
"How come you're looking for the honey in the first place?" Gardenia asked.
"My grandfather was a great treasure hunter many years ago. But after all of his success, after all the wonderful treasures he managed to add to his collection, the only one he failed to find was the Enchanted Honey. So I swore I'd find it. I'm on a mission," Cheryl said.
"Hm, I'd love to help you," Gardenia said. "If we all work together, we'll find it for sure," Gardenia said. "Now first off, you know that the Enchanted Honey is made out of the nectar that Combee gather, right?"
Right," Cheryl said.
"I come here tto Eterna Forest a lot trying to capture Grass Type Pokémon. Well, there's a place where Pomeg plants grow, and there's a huge Combee Wall right there," Gardenia said.
"What do you mean Combee Wall?" Cheryl asked.
"What's a Combee wall?" Ventus asked.
"A Combee Wall is where Combee gather up all their nectar, but I never seen one as big as this one before. I'm sure it's worth us going and having a look. And maybe we can find a few clues," Gardenia said.
"That makes a lot of sense," Kairi said.
"That Enchanted Honey might be near that Combee Wall," Terra said.
"We'll be going there first thing in the morning," Aqua said.
"Oh, I can't wait to see all those Pomeg flowers in full bloom," Cheryl said.
"Hey, I know Eterna Forest like the back of my hand, so I'll take you there," Gardenia said.
"I don't want to be a bother," Cheryl said.
"Hey, come one. Don't forget, I came out of nowhere and begged Sora to battle me and I really want to get to know Palmon right?" Gardenia asked. Cheryl smiled.
"Of course. It's like grandpa said. Witness a good Pokémon battle, and something good always happens," Cheryl said.
On the very next morning, Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, the Digimon, Cheryl, and Gardenia continued through the Eterna Forest to search for the Enchanted Honey, by starting by searching for the Combee Wall Gardenia had mentioned. Leafeon continued to follow them through the forest as a wild Carnivine is nearby. Carnivine comes on down. Pikachu's ears perks up when he heard something. Angel's ears did the same thing.
"Pika!" Pikachu warned as everyone all saw the bug catcher Pokémon right behind them.
"A Carnivine!" Gardenia said happily as she ran towards it. The Carnivine chomps her in the head. "That is one an effective Bite!"
"Gardenia!" Kairi gasped.
"Get off her!" Veemon yelled as he ran towards it. "Vee Headbutt!" Veemon lands a hard-hitting headbutt onto the bug catcher Pokémon, forcing it to let go. Carnivine wasn't pleased by Veemon's interference, so it attacked with a Vine Whip attack. Veemon got smacked hard. "Ouch!"
"Veemon!" Sora said.
"Pika!" Pikachu said. Sora took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go right in, Staravia!" Sora called out. Staravia comes flying out of the Pokéball and waited for Sora's instructions. "Use Wing Attack!" Staravia spreads out his wings and landed a hit onto the bug catcher Pokémon. "Now use Peck!" Staravia pecks at the bug catcher Pokémon. Carnivine fires Seed Bomb right at Staravia and lands a hit onto the starling Pokémon. "Staravia! Aerial Ace!" Staravia dashed right at Carnivine and lands a hit onto Carnivine. Sora took out a Pokéball and threw it at Carnivine. The Pokéball wobbles around and around very violently, knowing Carnivine might not stay in for long. Stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch. Sora's Pokémon Box activates and it asks him if he wants to keep Carnivine with him. He chose to send Carnivine over to Professor Oak's lab.
"Looks like you have yourself a new Grass Type Pokémon under your belt. Too bad because I wanted to catch that Carnivine," Gardenia said.
"Sorry if I got in the way, Gardenia," Sora said.
"Don't worry about it. There's always next time," Gardenia said. "I could always go find myself a Sunkern or something." Mothim then started to pick up something.
"Mothim?" Cheryl asked.
"Mothim says he found some Pomeg flowers just up ahead," Meowth translated.
"Then, let's go!" Armadillomon said. THey found the Pomeg flowers and their faces all beamed.
"Yes, Pomeg flowers, we must be getting close," Ventus said as a Nuzleaf llands right in front of them. The Nuzleaf is holding something in its hand. "A Nuzleaf."
"I know this Nuzleaf. It's a messenger Nuzleaf," Gardenia said, accepting the scroll from Nuzleaf. She read the contents on it. "Sorry, but there's an emergency, and I'll have to leave rght now."
"Alright. Good luck and thank you once again for your amazing help in our search," Cheryl said.
"And good luck with your search in finding the Enchanted Honey, wherever it is. And I'll be seeing you in my Gym for our batle, Sora," Gardenia said.
"I'm counting on it," Sora said. She looked right at Palmon.
"And Palmon, I'll be seeing you very soon," Gardenia said. "Bye." Gardenia and the Nuzleaf took off back to Eterna City. Mothim got excited as a small three-headed Pokémon resembling a bee came buzzing out. Its three heads are shaped like hexagonal honeycomb, with each upper 'bee' having one wing and one antenna each and the lowermost 'bee' having a striped abdomen. It also has a red triangle on the bottom head and flew right up to Kairi. Combee made a sound, indicating that it's scared.
"A Combee," Cheryl said. "We're must be getting close to the Enchanted Honey for sure." Sora took out his Pokédex and scanned the Pokémon.
Combee, the Tiny Bee Pokémon
Type: Bug/Flying
The members of the trio spend all their time together. Each one has a slightly different taste in nectar. It ceaselessly gathers nectar from sunrise to sundown, all for the sake of Vespiquen and the swarm.
"If we just bumped into a Combee, then the Amber Castle is very close to us," Sora said.
"We should get going," Agumon suggested. The Combee flew out of Kairi's arms.
"What's the matter?" Kairi asked.
"Combee, Combee, Combee, Combee!" The Combee said in a warning.
"What do you mean we can't go there?" Meowth asked.
"What's Combee trying to say?" Tentomon asked.
"Combee, Combee, Combee, Combee, Combee, Combee," the Combee said.
"Combee just said that there's a big red and scary monster in the hive and it scared them all out," Meowth translated.
"A red scary monster?" Cheryl asked.
"Combee, Combee, COmbee, COmbee, Combee, Combee, Combee, Combee, Combee, Combee," the COmbee said.
"Comebee is saying that the monster has shown up just days ago and just moved right in and forced her and all of her buddies right out. Their queen tried to fight it off, but the monster was too strong for her," Meowth translated.
"Combee, Combee, Combee, Combe," Combee said.
"They never stood a chance," Meowth said.
"If there's a monster in there, then it'll be much harder to get the Enchanted Honey," Terra said.
"It sure is," Aqua said.
"Combee, you think you can lead us to the Amber Castle? We can help you get your home back," Kairi promised. Combee could see how kind she is and nodded. Combee led them right towards the Amber Castle. Watching them are small yellow caterpillar Digimon with black lightning shaped stripes, blue mandibles, a pair of long antennae, twelve legs with blue claws on the front six, and a long stinger on the end of its abdomen. And with them are green, but the mandibles are purple. The caterpillar Digimon took off to the Amber Castle ahead of them.
Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, the Digimon, and Cheryl made it to the area where the Combee Wall was. It was a bunch of Combee stuck together.
"The Combee Wall. The Amber Castle must be closer than ever," Meowth said.
"And we can clear out whatever is scaring them off," Terra said.
"Hope it's so simple," Tentomon said.
"Not as simple as you hope!" A new voice spoke. They all turned to see the yellow caterpillar Digimon emerging from the bushes.
"What the?!" Sora exclaimed.
"Kunemon!" Armadillomon said.
"Those are Digimon too?" Ventus asked.
"Yes. They look small, but they pack quite a wallop," Armadillomon said.
"Electric Thread!" The Kunemon shouted, firing an electric thread.
"Duck!" Veemon shouted, ducking their heads. Just then, the green caterpillar Digimon all show up as well.
"No, not DoKunemon too!" Hawkmon said.
"DoKunemon?" Kairi asked.
"They're like Kunemon, but they're pretty different," Tentomon said.
"Electric Thread!" The DoKunemon shouted, firing their electric threads. The threads strike Meowth, giving quite a shock.
"IT'S BEEN SO LONG SINCE I GOT A SHOCK LIKE THIS, I ALMOST FORGOT WHAT IT FEELS LIKE!" Meowth yelled.
"Pepper Breath!" Agumon shouted as he sends out a fireball and it struck them.
"Poison Ivy!" Palmon shouted as she sends out her vines and ensnares them. She gave them a toss.
"Boom Bubble!" Patamon shouted.
"Beat Blaster!" Armadillomon shouted, scratching at them.
"Pecking Beak!" Hawkmon shouted, pecking at the caterpillar Digimon violently.
"Lightning Paw!" Gatomon shouted, giving the Kunemon and DoKunemon some smacks with her paws. "Get the honey, we can handle all the fish bait."
"Got it!" Sora said as he, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, Tentomon, and Cheryl continued on as the other Digimon dealt with the Kunemon and DoKunemon. Mothim led them right to the Amber Castle inside the cave. Combee flew right to Kairi as she assured her that it'll be okay.
"It's so dark, I can hardly see," Cheryl said.
"We'll have to watch our step. Anything could happen at any moment," Sora said.
They came across a cavern. They suddenly hear a loud roar from inside.
"What is that?" Ventus asked. Combee got scared hearing the monster's roar.
"Whatever scared off those Combee is in here with us," Meowth said.
Deeper in the cavern and in the Amber Castle, it has been taken over by a Kuwagamon. The Kuwagamon had taken down a bee-like Pokémon and taken it as his prisoner. The bee-like Pokémon that is three-foot tall humanoid bee that has a red gem on her head, with a hive around her abdomen that looks like a ballroom dress with one horizontal stripe and six openings. This Pokémon is known as Vespiquen. The Kuwagamon clamped his mandibles together and flew off, leaving his hostage.
Over to Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, Tentomon, and Cheryl, they knew they were getting closer to the Amber Castle, just by the scent of smell only the Pokémon can pick up.
"How much closer are we?" Kairi asked.
"Close enough. I can smell it," Meowth said. The roar is heard, but much louder than before. The roar is revealed to belong to the Kuwagamon.
"Oh no! Kuwagamon!" Tentomon gasped.
"Another Digimon?" Sora asked.
"Yeah. He must have been leading the Kunemon and DoKunemon outside," Tentomon said. Combee was frightened of the stag beetle Digimon.
"I'm starting to think that's the monster that scared the Combee out of their home!" Kairi said.
"And you would be right," Tentomon said. He flew right at the Kuwagamon. "Super Shocker!" Tentomon unleashed his lightning attack and it struck Kuwagamon, but it didn't even hurt him.
"Scissor Hands!" Kuwagamon shouted, sending his arms out to Tentomon.
"Mothim! Psybeam! Cheryl ordered. Mothim sends out Psybeam and struck Kuwagamon on the spot.
"Thunderbolt!" Sora ordered.
"Swift!" Kairi ordered.
Pikachu and Angel fire their attacks and they struck Kuwagamon on the spot. That only aggravated the Kuwagamon as he heads right towards them.
"No you don't! Talon Attack!" Tentomon shouted as he attacked with his talons, but Kuwagamon threw him down on the ground.
"I'll take care of you first, you little grub!" Kuwagamon said. Kuwagamon was going to finish him off when Tentomon then started to glow. Tentomon stood back up as the glowing grew brighter.
"How pretty," Cheryl said.
"Tentomon Digivolve to-" Tentomon transformed into a large Digimon that resembles a rhinoceros beetle with four arms. His head is eyeless and has a black skull helmet with a long horn. He has two pairs of large wings on his upper back. He is blue in coloration with black muscle in the torso, arms, and legs. He has a black stinger on its pelvis. "Kabuterimon!" Kuwagamon was surprised to see Tentomon had Digivolve. "Who were you calling grub?"
"Who are you now?" Ventus asked.
"When I'm in this form, it's Kabuterimon," Kabuterimon said. Kabuterimon flew right at Kuwagamon, but the stag beetle Digimon wasn't going to call it quits because of a Digivolution.
"I'll rip you apart, one limb at a time! Power Guillotine!" Kuwagamon shouted as he attempted to cut him apart, but Kabuterimon stops him cold.
"I don't think so!" Kabuterimon said definitely. He gave Kuwagamon a toss to the ground. "Electro Shocker!" Kabuterimon fires an electrical ball right at Kuwagamon and it makes contact with him, destroying him in the process. Kuwagamon's body dissolves into bits of data. Kabuterimon flies on down and reverts back to Tentomon. "Is everyone okay?"
"We are thanks to you," Sora said.
They all hear buzzing all around and saw all of the Combee. They were witnessing the fight between the two Digimon. The Combee were pleased to see that the invader was gone.
Outside, the Kunemon and DoKunemon had dissolves into bits of data as they all won. The Combee outside gather around and they all smiled to see the attackers gone.
Right in the Amber Castle, Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, Tentomon, and Cheryl were being escorted to the injured Vespiquen.
"Is that what I think it is?" Sora asked.
"It's Vespiquen," Cheryl said. Sora took out his Pokédex and scanned the Pokémon.
Vespiquen, the Beehive Pokémon

It skillfully commands its grubs in battles with its enemies. The grubs are willing to risk their lives to defend Vespiquen. Vespiquen that give off more pheromones have larger swarms of Combee attendants.
"She's hurt bad," Kairi said. The Combee flew out of Kairi's arms and floated right in front of the beehive Pokémon.
"Your majesty, I know I have disobyed them by bringing them here into the Amber Castle, but I humbly request that you give your thanks to these outsiders. They had helped us from the monsters that attacked our kingdom. We wouldn't be safe if it wasn't for these band of heroes." - Combee subtitle.
"What did Combee say, Meowth?" Ventus asked. asked.
"That little Combee just said that she requests Vespiquen to give us her thanks for saving them from tall, dark, and buggy," Meowth translated. Vespiquen looked at the group. Vespiquen looked right them and hovered to them. She gave them a jar of Enchanted Honey to Cheryl. Vespquen made some buzzing sounds to them.
"The Enchanted Honey. Thank you, Vespiquen," Cheryl said, accepting the honey.
"What did Vespiquen say now?" Terra asked .
"Vespiquen said she's grateful to us for saving the Amber Castle from those bugs and so they're making us honoary members of her hive," Meowth translated.
Each one of them had a taste of the Enchanted Honey and it was sweeter than normal Honey, it was no wonder it was called "Enchanted Honey."
With that done and the Enchanted Honey retrieved, they take their leave of Eterna Forest.
"Thank you all for your help. I wouldn't have realized my grandfather's dream of finding the Enchanted Honey without your help," Cheryl said.
"It's the least we could do, Cheryl," Veemon said.
"Now, what are you going to do?" Sora asked.
"This is where we part ways. I'll be heading back home with the Enchanted Honey. Also, you have your Gym battle with Gardenia soon. So before we go, I just want to say thank you once again," Cheryl said.
"You're welcome," Biyomon said.
"We were just happy to help out," Wormmon said.
"And I am grateful to you. Bye," Cheryl said.
"Bye!" Everyone all said, watching Cheryl take off. Before they could go further, they heard a small sound behind them.
"Combee!" A familiar sound said. It tunes out it was the Combee from before and she was following Kairi all the way.
"It's you isn't it? Come to say goodbye?" Kairi asked. Combee responded by shaking her three heads.
"Combee, Combee, Combee," Combee said.
"Combee says she wants to tag along with you, Kairi," Meowth said.
"Is that it?" Kairi asked. Combee nodded. "Then, you're more than welcome to come along with us." Kairi took out a Pokéball and held it in front of Combee. The tiny bee Pokémon flows inside the Pokéball and stars swirls around it to confirm the catch. Kairi's Pokémon Box activates and it asks her if she wants to keep Combee with her. She chose to keep Combee in exchange for Hattrem.
Now Kairi had herself a Combee and now the same Leafeon continued to follow them out of the forest. Who knows what else will happen on their way? And how will Sora manage to win his battle against Gardenia? Just you wait and see.
