Episode 334: An Elite Meet and Greet
A couple of days have passed since meeting up with Haruhi and the rest of the Host Club. Though Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, and the Digimon found most of them to be eccentric, but they were nice.
They all made a stop as Sora accessed his Pokémon Box and exchanged Thwackey and Turtwig for Sobble and Piplup. As they continued on, they meet up with a clown, juggling some balls. He laughed as he met him.
"Hey there! Are any of you a trainer?" The clown asked.
"She and I are. Which one of us are you challenging?" Sora asked. The clown laughed.
"You, silly goose. I saw your Pikachu and I thought maybe, this kiddy is good in a Pokémon battle, so I thought I'd see it for myself! What do ya say? Let's have a battle? Let's make is four on four!" The clown challenged.
"Okay. A four on four battle should help me practice, for my upcoming Gym battle," Sora said. The clown took out a Pokéball and threw gave it a toss.
"You're up first, Abra!" The clown toseed his Pokéball and unleashed his Abra. Sora took out his Pokéball and threw it.
"Chimchar! Go!" Sora called out as Chimchar came out to battle. "Chumchar! Use Scratch!" Chimchar ran to give thr psi Pokémon a scratch.
"Confusion!" The clown ordered. Abra uses its psychic powers to manipulate Chimchar in a hold and stops him clean. "Now use Drain Punch!" Abra lands a punch onto Chimchar as some of his stamina when into Abra's.
"Hand in there, Chimchar. Use Digi!" Sora ordered. Chimchar dug into the ground. The clown laughed.
"Trying to avoid Confusion by going under, hm? Not going to work. Abra! Use Confusion!" The clown ordered. Abra uses Confusion to force Chimchar above ground. "Drain Punch again!" Abra lands a Drain Punch, but Chimchar grabs the fist much to the clown's surprise. "Now, that's a plot twist!"
"Chimchar! Flame Wheel!" Sora orderded. Chimchar rolls into a ball of fire and slams right into Abra. "Now use Scratch again and again!" Chimchar scratches Abra over and over again. Abra fell to the ground beatened. Chimchar celebrated as win as the clown calls back his fallen Abra.
"You did a bang-up job, Abra," the clown said. He took out another Pokéball and threw it. "Your turn now, Ambipom!" The clown's Ambipom came out and did a juggling act same as the clown himself. Sora calls back Chimchar and took out another Pokéball and threw it. "Go right in, Scorbunny!" Scorbunny came out and ready to go.
"Ambipom! Double Hit!" The clown ordered. Ambipom came at the rabbit Pokémon to land a couple of hits.
"Double Kick!" Scorbunny lands a couple of kicks on the long tail Pokémon. "Use Blaze Kick!" Scorbunny prepared to use Blaze Kick onto Ambipom.
"Swift!" The clown ordered. Ambipom fires Swift and it struck the rabbit Pokémon hard. Ambipom sends out Swift right at the rabbit Pokémon and the stars struck Scorbunny. "Now use Focus Punch!" Ambipom heads towards Scorbunny to land a hit.
"Flame Charge!" Sora ordered. Scorbunny ran towards Ambipom and lands a hit onto Ambipom. Flame Charge raised Scorbunny's speed when the hit landed.
"Ambipom! Double Hit!" The clown ordered. Ambipom moved in to land a hit onto Scorbunny and succeeded. "Now use Focus Punch!" Ambipom prepares to use Focus Punch.
"Dodge and use Double Kick!" Sora ordered. Scorbunny moved to give Ambipom a couple of kicks, only to miss and land a hit onto Scorbunny. "Wrap it up with Swift!" Ambipom sends out Swift and it lands a hit onto Scorbunny, earning a knockout. Sora calls back Scorbunny. "Rest up, Scorbunny. You've earned it." The clown calls back Ambipom and took out another Pokéball.
"I choose you, Mime Jr!" The clown called out as his Mime Jr. came out to battle. Sora took out his next Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Sobble!" Sora called out. Sobble comes on out to battle. "Sobble! Pound, let's go!" Sobble runs to land a pound.
"Fake Out!" The clown ordered. Mime Jr. give Sobble a slap, causing Sobble to flinch.
"Why did Sobble just flinch?" Ventus asked.
"Because of Mime Jr's. Fake Out ," Terra explained. "Fake Out only works when users like Mime Jr. has been sent out to battle. Whe in hits, it causes the opponent to flinch."
"Now, Mime Jr! Double Slap!" The clown ordered. Mime Jr. went to give Sobble a slap in the face.
"Dodge and use Water Pulse!" Sora ordered. Sobble avoids Mime Jr. and forms a ball of water and hurls it right at Mime Jr. The attack lands a successful hit.
"Use Mimic!" The clown ordered. Mime Jr. instantly learns how to use Water Pulse. "Now use Water Pulse!" Mime Jr. readies Water Pulse to hurl it right at the water lizard Pokémon.
"Sobble! Sucker Punch!" Sora ordered. Sobble lands a hit onto Mime Jr. and Water Pulse fails to work. Sobble then started to evolve. Everyone was surprised to witness the sudden evolution of the water lizard Pokémon. Sobble had evolved into a Drizzile. "You evolved."
"Drizzile," the newly evolved Drizzile said.
"Okay, Drizzile, use Water Pulse!" Sora ordered. Drizzile forms a ball of water and hurls it right at Mime Jr. The attack came out much more stronger than it was before. Mime Jr. had been taken down much to the clown's stunned expression.
"Wasn't expecting that to happen," the clown said, calling back his Mime Jr. He takes out his last Pokéball and threw it. "I choose you, Mr. Mime!" The Pokéball opens and his Mr. Mime enters the fray. Sora calls back Drizzile and he looked right at Pikachu.
"Go right in, Pikachu," Sora said.
"Pikachu!" Pikachu said. He stood in front of the evolved form of Mime Jr., ready to battle.
"Pikachu! Quick Attack!" Sora ordered. Pikachu ran to land a hit onto Mr. Mime.
"Mr. Mime, use Light Screen!" The clown ordered. Mr. Mime forms a yellowish-gold barrier and blocked him. "Now, use Focus Punch!" Mr. Mime builds up focus to land a hit onto Pikachu.
"Iron Tail!" Sora ordered. Pikachu jumped and lands a hit onto Mr. Mime, dealing heavy damage due to its weakness to Steel Type attacks.
"Mr. Mime! Use Psychic!" The clown ordered. Mr. Mime uses Psychic to lift up Pikachu and sends him down to land a brutal hit.
"Pikachu! Iron Tail on the ground!" Sora called out. Pikachu uses his tail to break his fall. "Quick Attack!" Pikachu ran across the ground to hit Mr. Mime.
"Block it with your Light Screen!" The clown ordered. Mr. Mime blocks with Light Screen as Pikachu is blocked.
"Thunderbolt! Turn up the juice!" Pikachu fires a powerful Thunderbolt lands onto Light Screen as it slowly starts cracking. The Light Screen shatters as it lands a brutal blow onto Mr. Mime. The clown was shocked to see that his Mr. Mime on the ground.
"Oh, that was fun!" The clown said, calling back his Mr. Mime. "Say, that was a fun battle!" The clown held out his hand.
"Thanks," Sora sai, taking the clowns hand and he was zapped. "Ouch!" The clown laughed as he revealed he has a joy buzzer.
"Mr. Mime may have been a shock! What goes around, comes around!" The clown laughed as he took off. With the battle done with, they took off for the nearest Pokémon Center.
Over in the Digital World, Andromon is being taken into an underground lab by some Gaurdromon, but these were on the side of evil. He was placed in some restraints to prevent him from escaping. They brought Andromon to a Digimon that resembles a small robot. The Digimon has four legs, a mechanical yellow for his right eye and a real eye on his left.
"Good of you to bring this one to me. What a time I will have with this one," the Digimon said.
"Devimon wants you to extract whatever information Andromon has in his memory," one of the Guardromon said.
"Can you do it, Datamon?" Another Gaurdromon asked. Datamon scoffed.
"What an ignorant question to ask me. Of course I can. Leave it to me," Datamon said. Datamon typed on a large computer which activated the cords and plugged into Andromon's head as he screams in pain.
Over to the resistance, Leomon and the other members of the Resistance had made it to a new location. Among Leomon, Agunimon, and Lobomon is a a Digimon that looks like a snow bear wearing green hat, vest, and boots. He has a bear's head printed on the hat and red marks on his cheeks. Kazemon is currently recovering from her injuries.
"I tried to save him. Andromon would have been saved if I had taken down that Gigadramon as well," Kazemon said.
"There's nothing more you could have done. None of us would have known Megadramon had backup," Leomon said.
"Devimon must have been keeping this to himself until the last minute," Agunimon said.
"Kumamon, anything from the tundra?" Leomon asked.
"I checked there. BlueMeramon has reported nothing," Kumamon reported.
"Flamedramon has nothing to report as well," Agunimon said.
"Unless Wizardmon makes his report, we got nothing," Leomon said.
"Isn't it too risky? Myotismon's goons might catch wind of it if he's not careful," Kumamon said.
"He's right. We can't afford any foul ups like with Andromon," Lobomon said.
"I know. We haven't heard from Agumon or the others, so we'll have to assume the worse," Leomon said.
The Resistance had to hope for the best for Agumon and the others.
Back in the Sinnoh region, Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, and the Digimon made it to the Pokémon Center to rest their Pokémon after the battle with that clown.
"Nurse Joy, would you mind helping out my Pokémon?" Sora asked, handing her his Pokéballs.
"Not at all. It's what I do," Nurse Joy said, taking the Pokéballs into her care.
"Thanks," Sora said. The group went to relax, unaware of an elegant man around the corner and reading a book. He has blue hair and blue-tinted glasses. He wore a red suit, with a white handkerchief in his pocket, over his black collared shirt, and has black shoes. He shuts the book and took a glance over to the group and eyes the Digimon with them.
Not too far away, a giant blue armored bird Digimon with lightning markings is flying out. It has a lightning horn on its head. The bird Digimon flies aimlessly in the sky.
Back to the Pokémon Center, Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, and the Digimon were watching a battle on TV. It was the blue-haired man. He was up against a trainer with a Bronzor. The Pokémon he had is a large Pokémon resembling a blue-green bell with two arms coming out of its sides. It has a hollow body and a yoke attached at the top. Its face can be best described as being a "Totem Pole" design; Bronzong has two round, red eyes with blue-green irises and a rectangular mouth with one visible row of square teeth. It also has several darker, rectangular markings on its body. Sora took out his Pokédex and scanned Bronzor and the other Pokémon.

Implements shaped like it were discovered in ancient tombs. It is unknown if they are related. X-ray photos were taken to check its body structure. Nothing appeared, however.

One caused a news sensation when it was dug up at a construction site after a 2,000-year sleep. It can summon rain clouds. People long ago revered it as the bringer of plentiful harvests.
"Bronzor and Bronzong against each other. Wonder how this will turn out," Meowth said.
"Yeah, but Lucian and Bronzong are nothing to sneeze at," Terra said.
"So! We finally come to the Champion League finale! CAn Lucian of the Sinnoh Elite Four finish it upright here and now?" The announcer asked.
"The Champion League? Like the one Ryo was in when he took on the Kanto Eliete Four?" Ventus asked.
"That's exactly right, Ven. It's a tournament that is hosted by the Elite Four of each region. I think the Hoenn region had one with Steven Stone at one point. Wallace came in as a runner-up," Terra said.
"Bronzor is doing an excellent job against Bronzong, but it stands very little chance of denting Bronzong's steel body!" The announcer announced. Bronzor fires Shadow Ball right at Bronzong, but it bounces right off despite to its weakness to Ghost Type attacks. Bronzong gave a Gyro Ball right at Bronzor and was taken out with one hit. "And Bronzong has taken down its pre-evolved form with one blow! Bronzor had no chance!" Bronzor's trainer was stunned, so he called back his fallen Bronzor.
"Wow, one hit," Hawkmon said.
"That was so awesome!" Ventus said.
"That wasn't that great," a voice spoke. They all turned to see Lucian walking up to the group. "See? I'm still learning. That match has taught me a lot."
"Lucian of the Elite Four!" Ventus exclaimed.
"That's right. Hello," Lucian greeted.
"Hello to you," Sora said. "My cousin is just surprised to be actually seeing you."
"I see. And I know who you are, Sora Ketchum. I watched your matches during the Hoenn Pokémon League and I could tell you had potential as a trainer. Winning three Pokémon Leagues is something that no one has ever accomplished," Lucian said. He turned to Kairi. "And your accomplishments has caught my attention as well, Kairi. I was impressed by your talent."
"Thank you," Kairi said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"Anyway, this is my cousin Ventus, but we call him Ven," Sora said.
"Hi," Ventus said.
"I'm Terra," Terra introduced.
"And I'm Aqua," Aqua introduced.
"And who are they?" Lucian asked.
"These are creatures called Digimon. Meet Agumon, Veemon, Gabumon, Tentomon, Biyomon, Hawkmon, Palmon, Gomamon, Patamon, Armadillomon, Gatomon, and Worrmmon," Sora introduced.
"Nice to meet you," Agumon said.
Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, and Aqua explained about how they met up with the Digimon and about their world. The Digimon themselves kept out the troubles of their world since they didn't want them to be dragged into the war with Myotismon. Lucian was amazed by the claims of the Digimon.
"So, what's the deal with the Champion Leage?" Sora asked.
"You see, Sora, in order to participate in the Champion League, you would have to have participate in certain challenges. If you have met those challenges then you would qualify to participate in the Champion League challenge and challenge the Elite Four of each region. Sora and Kairi both qualify for those challenges if they wish to be a part of it," Lucian explained.
"It must be loads of fun," Ventus said.
"Yes, it is fun when you put it that way," Lucian agreed.
"So far there's you, Aaron, Bertha, and Flint. What about the other Elite Four in other regions?" Agumon asked.
"We actually met them. In the Kanto region, there's Lorelei who uses Ice Type Pokémon, Bruno who uses Fighting Type Pokémon, Agatha who specializes with Ghost Type Pokémon, and there's Lance who uses Dragon Type Pokémon," Kairi explained.
"And there's the Hoenn Elite Four. There's Sydney, he uses Dark Type Pokémon. There's also Phoebe who uses Ghost Type Pokémon, Glacia who uses Ice Type Pokémon, and there's Drake who uses Dragon Type Pokémon. I battled against Phoebe and Drake before," Sora said.
"How did you win?" Armadillomon asked.
"I didn't. I got creamed by the both of them," Sora said.
"I battled Glacia and I also lost," Kairi said.
"But there was no shame in losing against them," Sora said.
"I believe they would feel no shame if they had lost to you, Sora. I would like to test your abilities against your Pokémon if you have no objections, Sora," Lucian said.
"Not at all. I can take you up your challenge, Lucian," Sora said, accepting the challenge.
Both trainers entered the battlefield for the battle about to take place.
"I am ready as you are, Sora," Lucian said.
"I got my game on!" Sora said. Lucian took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go right in, Bronzong!" Lucian called out as Bronzong came out to battle. Sora took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Chimchar!" Sora called out. His Chimchar came out to battle.
"So, a Fire Type against my Bronzong. An excellent strategy. You may have the honor of making the first move," Lucian said.
"Chimchar! Use Flame Wheel!" Sora ordered. Chimchar rolls into a ball of fire and rolls right towards Bronzong.
"Iron Defense!" Lucian ordered. Bronzong's body gave off a metallic glow as Chimchar's Flame Wheel bounces right off.
"No way!" Sora gasped.
"That should have worked," Ventus said.
"Bronzong is a high level Pokémon, so even Fire Type attacks won't even make a dent onto it," Terra said.
"Gyro Ball!" Lucian ordered. Bronzong spins around with arms and white balls of energy appear at the ends of them. Bronzong then spins around quickly and it heads right towards Chimchar.
"Dodge it!" Sora called out. Chimchar stood there and took the hit from Bronzong.
"Gyro Ball again!" Lucian ordered. Bronzong heads right towards Chimchar to land a hit again.
"Chimchar! Dig!" Sora ordered. Chimchar dug into the ground and avoided Bronzong's Gyro Ball.
"Good strategy by taking advantage to Bronzong's vulnerability to Ground Type moves, but not good enough. Bronzong! Bulldoze!" Lucian ordered. Everyone gasped as Bronzong slams onto the ground and forces Chimchar out of the ground.
"Lucian's countermeasure against Pokémon that can use Dig," Aqua said.
"You mean, teaching a Ground Type attack to Bronzong to use against a Fire Type Pokémon like Chimchar?" Agumon asked.
"That's right. Lucian has really come prepared fo since Bronzong's ability is Heatproof," Terra said.
"What's Heatproof?" Ventus asked.
"Heatproof is an ability that halves damage to Fire Type attacks," Terra said.
"Chimchar! Ember!" Sora ordered. Chimchar took in a deep breath and fired a Flamethrower instead. Sora knew Chimchar didn't know Flamethrower when he was Paul's Pokémon, so that means Chimchar had just learned to use Flamethrower. "Okay, Flamethrower." Bronzong took the hit from Flamethrower, but it didn't even do much damage due to Heatproof and to the special training Lucian probably gave it.
"When did Chimchar learn to use Flamethower?" Meowth asked.
"Probably just now. Chimchar didn't know Flamethrower when we first met him," Kairi said.
"Interesting. Chimchar learning a new move in a middle of a battle is most impressive. Sora obviously did a good job at raising his Chimchar. Will it be enough? Bronzong! Flash Cannon!" Bronzong got into position to fire Flash Cannon.
"Chimchar! Dodge it! Run!" Sora called out. Chimchar looked around as he started to run. Sora figured he was finally getting Chimchar to avoid Flash Cannon. Bronzong fires Flash Cannon. Chimchar tries to avoid Flash Cannon, but it came too fast and too strong to be avoided. Chimchar had been taken down. "Chimchar!" Sora ran out to Chimchar.
"Pika!" Pikachu said, voicing his own concern. Sora helps Chimchar up in his arms.
"You okay, Chimchar?" Sora asked.
"Char," Chimchar said.
"You put up a good fight. You did your best," Sora said.
"You also did your best, Sora. You raised your Pokémon well. If you ever want to battle again, I'll be looking forward in battling you during the Champion League challenge," Lucian said.
"So will I," Sora said.
"I suggest you take your Chimchar to Nurse Joy," Lucian said.
"I will and thanks," Sora said. He took Chimchar back to the Pokémon Center and Nurse Joy took care of his injuries. "Nurse Joy, is Chimchar going to be okay?"
"Chimchar will be just fine. He just needs to spend the night resting. But I must recommend that Chimchar isn't to battle for the next two days," Nurse Joy said.
"I'll have Chimchar rested up in two days and thanks," Sora said.
Outside, Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, and the Digimon all sat out looking at the sky, reflecting on Sora's latest battle. Sora knew it wasn't going to be easy battling a member of the Elite Four. He wondered what might happen if he went up against Lance or Bruno and ended up losing. Sora was strong, but the defeats against those tough trainers inspired him to get even stronger.
"How is Sora taking it?" Gabumon asked.
"He's taking it well," Kairi said. The Digimon all looks right at her. "Sora did mention he battled Phoebe and Drake and lost. That just means if he wants to battle against the Elite Four, he'll have to train even harder than ever."
"That means, he'll have to get even stronger than before," Terra said. Ventus looked at his cousin and it gave him great inspiration. Ventus wanted to be a great Pokémon trainer just like Sora and hoped one day, he'll battle Sora. Lucian and his Bronzong returns to the group.
"I figured I'd find you here," Lucian said. They all turned to see him. "How is your Chimchar doing?"
"Chimchar's fine. Just gotta let Chimchar rest for the night and prevent him from battling for the next two days," Sora said.
"Glad to hear it. Sora, have you thought of taking the Champion League in Kanto?" Lucian asked.
"Well, I kinda did to be honest. But I spent my time traveling, I didn't have time for that. I will think about it in the near future," Sora said.
"I'm glad to hear it, Sora," Lucian said, smiling. Sora smiled back at him.
Just when things were going well for everyone, they heard a cloud cry from out of nowhere. It sounded like a large bird. Sora knew it wasn't a natural bird. That's when everyone saw the large bird fly over them.
"What is that?" Aqua asked.
"It's a Thunderbirdmon!" Biyomon said. "Leave him to us!" Biyomon flapped her wings and flew up to deal with the bird Digimon. Tentomon, Patamon, and Hawkmon all followed her and launched their assault.

The flying Digimon launched their attacks onto Thunderbirdmon, but none of their attacks could do a thing. Thunderbirdmon laughed as he taunted the four flying Digimon.
"My turn," Thunderbirdmon said as he got ready to launch his attack. "Spark Wing!" Thunderbirdmon fires countless electrified-feathers like rain and it struck them. The flying Digimon came falling down as the bird Digimon kept flying over them. Agumon and the rest all got into position to fight when Thunderbirdmon did the same thing. "Spark Wing!" Thunderbirdmon fires countless electrified-feathers and they rained down on them before they could attack. Hawkmon got back up and he barely could stand.
"I won't let you get away with this, Thunderbirdmon. I won't let you!" Hawkmon exclaimed as he started to glow. Hawkmon flew up in the air, captivating everyone. "Hawkmon Digivolve to-" Hawkmon transforms into a large bull horns, "Aquilamon!" Aquilamon flew right in front of Thunderbirdmon.
"Aquilamon?" Sora asked. The eagle-like Digimon flew right at Thunderbirdmon and fired the first attack. "Blast Rings!" Aquilamon fires ring-shaped rays right at Thunderbirdmon and he got struck by the attack.
"Not bad, but not good enough! Thunder Storm!" Thunderbirdmon shouted as he generates a lightning storm and lightning comes crashing down. Aquilamon dodges the lightning and comes right towards Thunderbirdmon with the end of his horns glowing red.
"Grand Horn!" Aquilamon shouted as he rammed right into Thunderbirdmon and he fell right to the ground. The clouds all vanish as he hits the ground. "Blast Rings!" Aquilamon fires his ring attack and they struck Thunderbirdmon and causes him to dissolve into bits of data, destroying him. Aquilamon flew down before the group as he reverts back to Hawkmon. Lucian was impressed by the display the bird Digimon has shown.
"That was astounding," Lucian said.
"Yeah, you saved the day this time," Sora said.
"I had to protect my friends from any pending danger," Hawkmon said.
"And you came through when it matters the most," Lucian said.
As the sun sets, Chimchar is still getting the rest that is recommended as everyone all got ready to go.
"Thanks again, Lucian," Sora said.
"Sora, don't forget about the Champion League when you have the chance," Lucian said.
"I won't. And by that time, I'm going to be even stronger than I already am," Sora said. Lucian smiled as he was looking forward to seeing his new strength when the time comes.
Eterna City was closer than ever, and the promised battle with Gardenia was closer than ever. Sora knew Gardenia isn't going to be easy to beat, so he'll have some special training down soon.
