Episode 338: Cynthia the Champion
A few days had passed since Kairi has gotten herself a Happiny. She was happy to have another cute Pokémon under her and knew what a Chansey she'll have in passing of time. Kairi decided to have Happiny trained for battle when she was a little bit older. So far, Happiny only knew how to use Pound, Charm, Copycat, and Minimize. They found out that Happiny has a rambunctious personality, yet playful.
"Okay, Happiny, meal's on," Kairi said, feeding Happiny. The playhouse Pokémon ate the food she had provided. "Here you go, cutie."
"Piny!" Happiny happily chirped.
Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, and the Digimon were also playing with the baby Pokémon. Quite so often Happiny got carried away and slammed Meowth on the ground.
"At least they didn't label Happiny as the Play Rough Pokémon, because she plays rough," Meowth said.
"Happiny must not know her own strength," Ventus said. He takes Happiny in his hands and makes some goofy faces.
"Happiny!" Happiny laughed.
A few minutes later, Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, and the Digimon continued on for Hearthrome City as they bumped into Riku, Naminé, Eevee, and Azurill.
"Riku!" Sora said.
"Hey Sora. Haven't seen you in a while. Any new Gym Bagdes under your belt?" Riku asked.
"I got this," Sora said, showing Riku his Gym Bagdes. "The Forest Badge."
"Very impressive, Sora. And I heard you won the Floaroma Town Pokémon Contest, Kairi," Riku said.
"Congratulations on winning it, Kairi," Naminé said.
"Thanks Naminé," Kairi said. Riku looked right at Agumon, Gabumon, and Biyomon.
"And good seeing you again, Agumon. Same to you, Gabumon and Biyomon," Riku said. He then looked right at the other Digimon. "And who are they?"
"They're friends of ours. These are Veemon, Tentomon, Palmon, Gomamon, Patamon, Gatomon, Armadillomon, Wormmon, and Hawkmon," Agumon introduced.
"We met them after Oreburgh City," Terra said.
"Eevee," Eevee said. Eevee was skeptical about the other Digimon, so he sniffed them to see if any of them were a threat, but they seemed okay to him.
"So where are you guys heading?" Riku asked.
"Hearthome City. Sora's his Gym battle there and I'm heading for my next Contest," Kairi said.
"If that's the case, we should head there together," Naminé suggested.
"Azurill!" Azurill chirped.
With that said, Riku, Naminé, Eevee, and Azurill joined the group for their trip to Hearthrome City.
Over in the Digital World, Myotismon had just recieved the information of the Resistance. Devimon and Duskmon were presented in the castle's dining room.
"This is excellent. I knew I could count on Datamon for the task," Myotismon said.
"And what do we do with Andromon? He has served his purpose," Devimon stated.
"Have him destroyed. Andromon is no longer any use to me," Myotismon said. Wizardmon was listening on the conversation and he sent a secret message to the Resistance.
Over to the Resistance, Renamon has gotten word from Wizardmon.
"Leomon. I just heard from Wizardmon from the castle. Andromon is being terminated after the information has been extracted from him," Renamon reported.
"Where is he being held?" Leomon asked.
"In some sort of laboratory. He says it is in the desert region under a pyramid," Renamon reported. "I have the coordinates."
"You, Guilmon, Terriormon, and Lopmon all head down there. We can't afford to lose him as an alley," Leomon said.
"On it," Renamon said. She gathered Guilmon, Terriormon, and Lopmon for the task. The four Digimon headed for the desert region to save Andromon. As they went on, they weren't aware of several Kunemon in the trees.
"There's the Resistance. We should report this to Mercurymon," one of the Kunemon said. They all agreed and set off to inform their superiors.
A few minutes later, Mercurymon and the other four were sitting around as a Kunemon came in.
"News to report," the Kunemon said.
"What is it?" Mercurymon asked.
"Word is, Guilmon, Renamon, Terriormon, and Lopmon of the Resistance are making their move. They're heading for the desert region to rescue Andromon," the Kunemon reported. Mercurymon grinned.
"Excellent. Thou shalt be rewarded later on," Mercurymon said. He turned to the others. "Come. We have knaves to slay." Mercurymon, Arbormon, Ranamon, and Grumblemon all headed out to ambush the four Resistance members.
Back in the Sinnoh region, Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Riku, Naminé, Pikachu, Eevee, Angel, Meowth, Azurill, and the Digimon all continued on towards a mighty large river. Just then, a woman wearing a business woman's suit approaches the group.
"Excuse me, young man. Aren't you Sora Ketchum, the Pokémon League Champion of Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn?" The woman asked.
"Yeah?" Sora replied.
"Wonderful, because you look like a trainer who could use rest and relaxtion. How about it?" The woman asked.
"Would it be going by Hearthome City?" Sora asked.
"Yes it does," the woman said. "Well, we do need to get there. How about it, Sora? And your friends are welcome to be a part of it," the woman said.
Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Riku, Naminé, Pikachu, Eevee, Angel, Meowth, Azurill, and the Digimon all took part of the river cruise. The band was playing as couples were dancing on the dance floor. Sora, Kairi, Riku, and Naminé joined in as a song was being played by a woman on stage.

The song ended as the couples left the dance floor as Terra, Ventus, Aqua, the Pokémon and the Digimon were sitting and eating the food provided and watching the dancing.
"That was pretty good, guys," Agumon said.
"They're never say about doing a dance as a couple," Meowth said.
"How come you didn't dance, Terra? Aren't you and Aqua a couple?" Patamon asked. Terra and Aqua both blushed at the question.
"That's a good question," Sora said.
"Terra and I are just friends. Isn't that right?" Aqua asked.
"Yeah, that's right," Terra said. Sora and Kairi were clearly not buying the fact they were just friends. Riku and Naminé weren't buying it either. Meowth grinned. Eevee bumped into Meowth.
"Ouch! What the hell is that for?" Meowth asked.
"Because you were going to make fun of them and make it more awkard for them." - Eevee subtitle.
"It's funny, isn't it?" Meowth asked.
"Not if you were the one one who's in love!" -Eevee subtitle. Meowth paused for a moment and he remembered his romance problems with a female Meowth, but she turned him down because she labeled him as a freak.
Unknown to them, Vorvomon and the Dracomon Brothers were watching them as ordered by Myotismon. They turned to a Digimon that resembles a yellow dragonfly with green eyes.
"Head on back to Ogremon and tell him that they're on their way to his position," Vorvomon said. The dragonfly Digimon flew back to inform Ogremon of the development.
Over to Ogremon, the dragonfly Digimon flew back to the ogre-like Digimon with news.
"You sure it's them, Yanmamon?" Ogremon asked.
"Yes. It's Agumon's team of the Resistance, there's no mistake about it," Yanmamon said.
"Good work, Yanmamon. Wait for further orders," Ogremon said. Yanmamon nodded and flew to join the rest of the troop. He has called upon a couple of Agumon to assist them, but these Agumon were black.
"Okay, BlackAgumon. I have an important task for the two of you. I just got word that Agumon's squad are coming your way. So, you better be ready when you meet them!" Ogremon ordered.
"Sure thing, sir," one of the BlackAgumon said.
"We won't fail," the other BlackAgumon said.
"You better not, or else I'll use you for target practice!" Ogremon threatened. They feared that Ogremon was dead serious and they started to take off.
"On it!" The BlackAgumon both said, running off. He grinned wickedly.
"Those humans won't know what hits them. And Myotismon will be pleased with me; maybe he'll give me my own continent after we take both worlds," Ogremon said happily.
A day after their river cruise, they got to where they nedded to go and they made a stop somewhere to releax and a Pokémon battle is taking place on TV. It is between Lucian and a woman. She a tall, and slender young lady with wavy knee-length creamy blonde hair that has bangs covering her left eye. Her eyes are grey. She wore straight black leg trousers, a long black coat with a V neck and black fur rimming the cuffs and running down the end of the coat and a large teardrop shaped ornament on the center of the coat; she also dons a black top underneath. Her outfit is finished with black kitten heels and a yellow stripe on each shoes. For accessories she wore a large, black feathery ruff around her neck with two hair clips in her hair, both resembling two teardrop-shaped object conjoined with a pale yellow stripe.
"Who is she?" Gomamon asked.
"That woman is Cynthia. She's the Champion of the Sinnoh region," Aqua said.
"All right, battle fans! It's time! The bout we've all been waiting for is finally here! WIll Cynthia, the Champion Leage Master, win it? Or will it be Lucian of the Elite Four?" The announcer asked.
Out on the battlefield, Cynthia has a Garchomp out to battle against Lucian's Bronzong. This Garchomp doesn't have a notch in its dorsal fin. Sora took out his Pokédex and scanned Cynthia's Pokémon.

It is said that when one runs at high speed, its wings create blades of wind that can fell nearby trees. When it folds up its body and extends its wings, it looks like a jet plane. It flies at sonic speed.
"So, that's Gible's fully evolved form," Sora said.
Bronzong fires Flash Cannon, but Garchomp folds its claws in front, resulting in an explosion.
"And Flash Cannon scores a direct hit! Complete with tons of mucho-mondo-mega power! Is it all over for Garchomp?" The announcer asked. Cynthia was very calm. The smoke clears, and Garchomp is unphazed by Bronzong's attack. "No way! Garchomp is still standing! Not even a scratch is on it!" Lucian was stunned.
"Wow, that is awesome! Garchomp didn't even get scratched!" Ventus said.
"Wow is right," Gabumon said.
Garchomp moves in with a powerful Dragon Rush and lands a hit, earning a knockout right away.
"And Garchomp has taken down Bronzong with a devastating Dragon Rush! Outstanding!" The announcer announced.
"No wonder she's a champion. She's so awesome," Ventus said.
"No kidding, Ven," Sora said. He wondered how good she really is. Also, there would be a chance Cynthia might test his skills out in battle one of these days.
Night came as they went for the Pokémon Center to rest for the night. They all woke up on the very next morning as they all felt refreshed.
"Sleep okay, Sora?" Riku asked.
"Like a Snorlax," Sora said. "You?"
"Same," Riku said. "How about we step outside for some training. I want to test out your new Pokémon's skills in battle. And also, I caught some while I was here."
"Sure Riku. I could use some practice," Sora said. Both Sora and Riku got in position for a practice battle as Sora was wondering what Pokémon he gotten a hold of while in the SInnoh region. Riku took out a couple of Pokéballs and threw them. " Let's make this a Double battle. Go right in, Croagunk! and Lucario!" Riku threw it and out came a Croagunk and a Lucario. Riku's Croagunk is slightly different from the one Sora has.
"So, you got a Croagunk too, huh?" Sora asked.
"Sure did. Got him just a few days after leaving Oreburgh City," Riku said.
"And that's a Lucario, right? Riolu does evolve into that," Sora said, taking out his Pokédex and scanned the Pokémon.

It has the ability to sense the auras of all living things, be they either Pokémon or humans. They use this ability to sense the movements of their opponents. It is said that Lucario can understand human speech.
"That's a very cool Pokémon, Riku," Sora complimented.
"Thanks Sora. My Lucario is my most recent one. Now it's your turn," Riku said..
"Okay," Sora said, taking out two of his Pokéballs. "Go! Gible and Chimchar!" Sora threw them and lets out his Gible and Chimchar.
"A Chimchar and a Gible. Both are obvious matchups against my two new Fighting Types. Let's get down to business. Lucario! Bone Rush on Chimchar! Croagunk! Use Dynamic Punch on Gible!" Riku ordered.
"Chimchar! Gible! Dig!" Sora ordered. Chimchar and Gible both dug into the earth to avoid their attacks.
"Nice. Lucario, try to find them both," Riku said. Lucario closes its eyes and uses its four appendages to detect Chimchar and Gible's movements. Lucario sees that they're moving underground. Lucario sees them through blue auras. Chimchar's aura stands out because it could see something about him. Chimchar and Gible emerged from the ground.
"Lucario! Aura Sphere! Croagunk! Sludge Bomb!" Riku ordered. Lucario puts its hands together and creates a blue ball of energy. Lucario then fires it at Chimchar and Croagunk fires Sludge Bomb and struck Gible. "Now use Meteor Mash on Gible!"
"Gible! Dodge and Dragon Breath on Lucario! Chimchar! Flame Wheel on Croagunk!" Sora ordered. Gible avoids Lucario's Meteor Mash and lands a hit onto Lucario. Chimchar rolls into a fireball and rolls right onto the poison dart frog Pokémon.
"Croagunk! Revenge!" Riku ordered. Croagunk became surrounded by an orange aura and lands a hit onto Chimchar. Chimchar fell backwards as Croagunk heads right towards the chimp Pokémon.
"Flamethrower!" Sora ordered. Chimchar fired a Flamethrower right at Croagunk. The amphibious Pokémon took a bad burn from Chimchar's Flamethrower. Croagunk stood back on his feet.
"That was very impressive, Sora. You raised your new Pokémon right," Riku said.
"Same to you, Riku," Sora said. "Should we keep going?"
"That's enough for right now. Besides, Naminé made me promise to be on time for breakfast," Riku said.
"Good idea, Riku. And perfect timing, I was starting to get hungry," Sora said.
With that settled, they went off to have a good hearty breakfast with their friends.
A few hours later, Cynthia made a stop at an ice cream van.
"Something I can help you with, ma'am?" The vendor asked. Cynthia seems indecisive when choosing what kind of ice cream to get.
"Which one do I want?" Cynthia asked herself. The vendor decided to recommend a flavor to her.
"May I suggest that you try the sea salt ice cream? It's a very popular treat from the Kanto and Johto regions. And it was made from the finest Moomoo Milk that money can buy," the vendor said.
"Sea salt? Then, I'll have one of those then," Cynthia said, paying for her ice cream. She took off for the ruins and had a taste of the ice cream. It was both salty and sweet, much to her liking.
Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Riku, Naminé, Pikachu, Eevee, Angel, Meowth, Azurill, and the Digimon went about to take off to continue on to Hearthome City when they heard a couple of kids talking.
"You sure she's here?" A boy asked.
"There's no mistake. Cynthia arrived here this morning and she's heading to the ruins not too far from here," a girl said.
"Cynthia's here?" Ventus asked.
"This we gotta see," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu agreed.
"I'm with you," Riku said.
With that said, Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Riku, Naminé, Pikachu, Eevee, Angel, Meowth, Azurill, and the Digimon went to the ancient ruins to see for themselves.
Arrving out to the ruins, Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Riku, Naminé, Pikachu, Eevee, Angel, Meowth, Azurill, and the Digimon all arrived at the same time as the many people there.
"There she is. It's Cynthia," Aqua said.
"Just like those kids said before," Meowth said.
Not too far, the BlackAgumon were watching them from the bushes as Vorvomon and the Dracomon Brothers were also watching from the trees. They were eyeing Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Riku, Naminé, Pikachu, Eevee, Angel, Meowth, Azurill, and the Digimon
Just them Paul comes to the scene. He started to walk up to the trainer. The group took notice of him, passing by them.
"Don't look now, but it's him," Ventus said.
"Who is that?" Veemon asked.
"He's a human boy named Paul. He was Chimchar's last trainer before he released him because he lost to Sora again," Agumon explained.
"Wonder why he's here," Palmon said.
"One way to see," Terra said. The arrogant trainer walked up the champion of Sinnoh.
"You're Cynthia, aren't you?" Paul asked. Cynthia turned to him with a smile.
"Yes," Cynthia answered.
"My name's Paul and I'm from Veilstone City. I'd like to challenge you to a battle," Paul boldly said.
"Who is this guy?" boy asked.
"He can't challenge the Champion like that!" A girl said. Cynthia was surprised to see that soeone had just approached her and she was impressed by his boldness.
"Its been a while since I took a field challenge. Are you competing in the Sinnoh Pokémon League now?" Cynthia asked.
"That's right," Paul said.
"I see," Cynthia said, taking her place to battle. "Then I'm assuming that you transferred here from another Pokémon League." Paul did not answer. "Fine then. I accept your challenge." The people were stunned to see Cynthia has accepted the challenge so easily.
"The Champion's gonna battle him!" Another girl exclaimed in shock.
"Unbelieveable!" Another boy said.
The evil Digimon were watching from their seperate hiding places.
"This should be interesting," Vorvomon said.
"A fight is about to get started," the first BlackAgumon said.
"Sure looks like it," the second BlackAgumon said.
"Do you mind if we battled with six Pokémon each?" Paul asked.
"No problem," Cynthia said, accepting the terms. Cynthia took out a Pokéball and threw it. "Garchomp! Battle!" Garchomp comes on out to battle. Paul took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Elekid! Stand by for battle!" Paul called out, lettng Elekid out to battle Garchomp.
"Why he send Elekid out? He should know Electric Type attacks doesn't do a thing on a Ground Type like Garchomp," Ventus said.
"You're right, Ven. Paul knows that, but he has the attack to use against it," Sora said.
"Brick Break!" Paul ordered. Elekid charges and brings his arm down at the mach Pokémon. The attack did nothing to hurt it.
"Use Dig!" Cynthia ordered. Garchomp dug into the earth.
"Garchomp will come out at any moment," Paul said. Elekid looked around for Garchomp. Garchomp came out so quick and landed a single blow onto Elekid. Paul calls back Elekid and took out anohter Pokéball and threw it. "Weavile! Stand by for battle!" His Weavile came out to battle against Garchomp.
"That's a smart move. Weavile's an Ice Type Pokémon," Naminé said.
"Azu," Azurill chirped.
"And Ice Type Pokémon like Weavile against Garchomp is a good match. Yes, a wise choice indeed," Cynthia said.
"Blizzard!" Paul ordered. Weavile fires Blizzard right at the mach Pokémon, but just like before, Blizzard does nothing.
"How is she just handling it?" Kairi asked.
"Dragon Rush!" Cynthia ordered. Garchomp heads right towards Weavile with Dragon Rush.
"Why is Weavile just standing there?" Gabumon asked.
"Dragon Rush is a Dragon Type attack that can cause an opponent to flinch," Riku said.
"Ice Beam!" Paul ordered. Weavile fires Ice Beam, but misses and lands a brutal blow onto Weavile, earning another one hit knockout. He calls Weavile back. He took out another Pokéball and threw it. "Murkrow! Stand by for battle!" His Murkrow comes out to battle Garchomp. "Murkrow! Use Haze!" Murkrow fires Haze right at Garchomp.
"Dodge it!" Cynthia called out. Garchomp avoids Haze by jumping out of the way. Murkrow flies right behind Garchomp.
"That's fast!" Biyomon said.
"Sky Attack now!" Paul called out. Murkrow came flying towards Garchomp to land a hit onto Garchomp.
"Quick, Giga Impact!" Cynthia ordered. Garchomp avoids Murkrow's Sky Attack and comes at Murkrow with a Gigia Impact attack. Murkrow had been taken down by the powerful attack. Paul grins as he had her now. He took out another Pokéball and threw it. "Torterra! Stand by for battle!" He threw his Pokéball and threw it.Paul's Torterra came out to battle. Sora took out his Pokédex and scanned Paul's Torterra.

Type: Grass/Ground
Groups of this Pokémon migrating in search of water have been mistaken for "moving forests." Small Pokémon occasionally gather on its unmoving back to begin building their nests.
"I figured he was going to use that bruiser in battle," Riku said.
"You knew Paul had a Torterra, Riku?" Sora asked.
"Yes I did. He used it in a battle against my Incineroar and he lost. He must have something planned," Riku said.
"Paul already lost three of his Pokémon while Cynthia still has all six of hers. That Garchomp is hardly even scratched," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"I'm picking up on what he's grinning about," Meowth said.
"Giga Drain!" Paul ordered. The three mountains on Torterra's shell glow green, and matching energy beams extend from their tips. The beams wrap around the Garchomp's body, drain her energy.
"A perfect hit," Riku said.
"Why didn't Garchomp just dodge it?" Gomamon asked.
"Because when Giga Impact is used, the attacker can't attack again right away," Riku said.
"So, he figured when using Giga Drain at the right moment, he could sap Garchomp's power for just long enough, until Giga Impact could be fully charged up and be able to use it again," Terra added.
"Giga Impact is a powerful move all right. But it's also one of Garchomp's weak points as well," Paul said. The three mountains recede back into Torterra's shell when the attack is complete. Garchomp was in pain from Giga Impact. "Now use Frenzy Plant!" Torterra's body becomes outlined in green and it slams its front two legs into the ground. Giant roots with spikes on them come out of the ground and strike Garchomp. He was certain Garchomp had been taken down for sure. Garchomp was still standing and blocked with her wings. He was shocked to see that it has failed to land a hit. Cynthia grinned.
"Use Brick Break!" Cynthia ordered. Garchomp rushes over to Torterra and slams her arms onto Torterra's head. Paul's Torterra had been taken down by the super powerful attack. Paul knew he lost the battle and he calls Torterra back into its Pokémon.
"I guess that's it," Paul said.
"Guess so," Cynthia agreed. "Nice, Garchomp. Great battle." Garchomp smiled as she calls Garchomp back inside her Pokéball.
"No wonder she's the Champion," Tentomon said.
"She's so powerful," Hawkmon said.
"And so is her Garchomp," Gatomon said.
The evil Digimon were impressed by Cynthia's battling skills.
"Now, that was a fight. Even lord Myotismon would be impressed by this," the second BlackAgumon said.
"He sure would. She would make a good addition to our cause against the Resistance," the first BlackAgumon agreed.
Vorvomon and the Dracomon Brothers were quite amazed by the sight of the battle. Vorvomon eyed Paul and he grinned, knowing what potential he has.
Sora and Riku both went up to Paul whom finally notices them both.
"Good work, Paul," Sora said.
"I don't need praise from you," Paul snapped at him. Riku didn't like his attitude one bit. He took off in the opposite direction of the Pokémon Center.
"Hey! The Pokémon Center is the other way!" Riku called out to him. Cynthia stopped him in his tracks.
"Paul, hold it right there!" Cynthia called out. He stops. "Bringing injured Pokémon to a Pokémon Center is a trainer's first responsibility, you know!" Paul just stood there and he reluctantly agreed.
They all arrvied in the Pokémon Center, but something has come up.
"I'm terribly sorry. We've got an urgent situation here now. I've got to get into surgery right away," Nurse Joy said, bowing her head. "Please forgive me." She takes off for the surgery.
"Then, there's no choice. I'll have to treat them myself," Cynthia proclaimed. Paul just looked at her. She just had a battle with him and she was treating them herself.
"You?" Sora asked.
"You don't mind if I help, do you?" Kairi asked. She stepped up to the Sinnoh Champion. "I do some good work with others Pokémon as well as my own."
"I welcome all the help I can get," Cynthia said. A few minutes came as Cynthia was treating each one of them. She placed her hand onto Torterra's tree. "You got quite a fever." She sprays some poton onto Torterra's tree.
"Brick Break landed a hit onto Torterra's head, didn't it?" Ventus asked.
"True. But it can spread all over the body. So we treat everywhere. Not only the part that was hit," Cynthia said.
"You're such a great champion, Cynthia," Sora said.
"Well, I'll have to say the same to you, Sora," Cynthia said. Sora wasn't surprised by how she knew his name. The Digimon were surprised.
"How do you know about Sora?" Agumon asked.
"I first saw Sora during the Indigo Plateau Pokémon League and won it. The same can be said for the Johto and Hoenn Pokémon Leagues. I was mighty impressed by your battling skills and the way you raised your Pokémon. I could tell there was loads of trust with them," Cynthia said.
"Well, a lot of people pretty much knows who I am just by watching those," Sora said. "And thanks for the compliment."
"Do you know about Kairi too, Cynthia?" Ventus asked.
"I do. I was amazed by her performance. You have quite a gift, Kairi," Cynthia said. She got finished treating Paul's Pokémon. "I'm done treating your Pokémon."
"Thanks a lot, Cynthia," Paul said.
"Paul, your Pokémon are very well trained. And I'm especially impressed with your Torterra. It's really quite amazing," Cynthia said.
"Torterra was my very first Pokémon," Paul stated. "We traveled a lot. We made our way through Hoenn, Johto, and Kanto Pokémon Leagues, but didn't win any of them," Paul said.
"And that was when we bumped into you," Sora said.
"So what?" Paul asked.
"So, I got a first taste of how little you cared about your Pokémon and you lost," Sora said.
"You won because you got lucky," Paul said.
"Was it because I was lucky that I beat you, Paul?" Riku asked. He looked right at him. "I can bet you caught some Pokémon and just released them just because they didn't meet your standards. Talking abut lazy."
"You're calling me lazy?" Paul asked.
"I'm going to guess those battles against me and Sora didn't teach you a thing. Tell me why you don't care about your Pokémon at least," Riku said.
"Because then, they'll get spoiled. The Chimchar I had was the perfect example of what I mean," Paul said.
"You then let Chimchar go all because he lost to Sora again. You gotta work better with your Pokémon. Sora gets it. Cynthia gets it. And I get it. That's how we're good trainers. I care about my Pokémon enough to work with them," Riku stated.
"Pathetic," Paul coldly said.
"Then how come you lost to me?" Riku asked. "If anyone here here is pathetic is you. And how you're pathetic is how you're so ignortant in taking care of Pokémon."
"Don't you ever call me patheitc!" Paul snapped.
"And what are you going to do if I keep going?" Riku asked, daring him to try something. "Battle me again and get humilaited publicity like you were today?"
Vorvomon and the Dracomon Brothers were watching from the outisde as they smiled.
"You were right, Vorvomon. He's a perfect lump of clay to mold into our image," the first Dracomon said.
"I did tell you. We'll have to lure them out and deal with them," Vorvomon said. "First, we should make contact with lord Myotismon." Vorvomon and the Dracomon Brothers took out the same kind of crystal Ogremon had and made contact with Myotismon.
"This better be important," Myotismon said.
"Master, we found a human boy I think you would be interested in," Vorvomon said.
"You know what will happen if you waste my time," Myotismon threatened.
"He has a pretty dark heart. He cares solely for power and that is a weakness, I believe you will be able to take control of," Vorvomon said. Myotismon became intrigued.
"Is that so?" Myotismon asked.
"Yes, master," Vorvomon said. Vorvomon flew back to the Pokémon Center and shows him Paul. Myotismon grinned evilly.
"Yes, such potential, such darkness spewing in him. He will make the perfect puppet for our cause," Myotismon laughed. He looks at his bats "And I have the perfect way to keep tabs on him" A Digital gate opens as the bats flew in. A little while later, Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Riku, Naminé, Pikachu, Eevee, Angel, Meowth, Azurill, and the Digimon had joined Cynthia and Paul to the ruins.
"What are we doing here exactly?" Riku asked.
"The words that are written here completely changed my life," Cynthia said. "Listen while I read them. 'When Every life meets another life, something will be born.'"
"When every life meets another life," Sora repeated to himself.
"And something will be born?" Kairi added.
"When I was younger, I used to dream of nothing but other than becoming powerful through being victorius in battle, and so I trained endlessly," Cynthia said. "Then, I discovered that even the same types of Pokémon have unique personalities. It was at that moment I decided I wanted to get to know each and everyone of them better. And hem after meeting more and more Pokémon, learning more of their ways, something completely new began to stir deep with in my soul. I knew meeting new Pokémon was just like meeting new people." She turned to the group. "I'm sure because of our meeting today something powerful has been placed in each one of us. Something important. Something that will mae us stronger in our own ways. My desire to learn about Pokémon has spawned a dream. That someday I'll actually meet the legendary Pokémon Dialga and Palkia. Then, perhaps I'll be able to travel back to the source and find the timeless origin of all Pokémon."
"Dialga and Palkia," Sora said.
"Pepper Breath!" Two sets of voices called out and they turned to see two Digimon standing there.
"Agumon?" Sora and Ventus asked, looking at him.
"Those aren't Agumon! They're BlackAgumon! They look like Agumon, but they're not!" Gabumon said.
"What are you doing here?" Agumon asked.
"We were sent here to find you and that's what we did!" The first BlackAgumon said.
"Now, we can snuff you out!" The second BlackAgumon added. The BlackAgumon both started to Digivolve.
"BlackAgumon Digivolve to-" the two BlackAgumon Digivolved into what looks like Greymon, but they were blue instead of orange skin and has black stripes instead of the blue stripes, "BlackGreymon!" Paul took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Ursaring! Stand by for battle!" Paul threw it and his Ursaring came out to fight. "Hyper Beam!" Ursaring fires Hyper Beam right at them.
"Nova Blast!" The two BlackGreymon shouted as they fired blue fireballs from their mouths and overpowers Ursaring's Hyper Beam. They overpower the bear Pokémon and quickly take him down.
"You think that teddy bear of yours will be enough for the two of us?" The first BlackGreymon asked.
"We were watching you and we could see how weak you are," the second BlackGreymon taunted.
"Try me on for size!" Gabumon said. He then started to Digivolve. "Gabumon Digivolve to-" Gabumon transformed into his Champion form, "Garurumon!" He rushes the two BlackGreymon with his speed. "Howling Blaster!" He fires his attack at one of the BlackGreymon while the other was heading right towards them.
"Hey, two against one is hardly a fight!" Armadillomon said as he started to Digivolve. "Armadillomon Digivolve to-" Armadillomon transformed into his Champion form, "Ankylomon!" He swings his tail at the other one. "Tail Hammer!" His tail smacks the BlackGreymon. "Now, we got a fair fight!"
"You're going to pay for getting in my way!" The second BlackGreymon said. "Nova Blast!" He fires a blue fire ball right at Ankylomon, but he ducks and the flame did nothing to his armor. He charges and jumps up.
"Megaton Press!" Ankylomon shouted as he lands right onto the second BlackGreymon, making him revert back to his Rookie form.
"Uh-oh, I'm out of steam!" The second BlackAgumon gasped.
"Great Antler!" The first BlackGreymon shouted. Garurumon dodges and comes at him.
"Subzero Ice Fang!" Garurumon shouted landing a bite onto him. "Howling Blaster!" He fires his attack at him, making him revert back to his Rookie Form as well.
"You got lucky this time, but we'll be back! We'll remember this!" The first BlackAgumon stated. The two BlackAgumon both ran off. Vorvomon and the Dracomon Brothers were watching closely.
"How amusing to see them run away. Ogremon shouldn't have sent those two," Vorvomon said.
After the fight, Garurumon and Ankylomon both reverted back to their Rookie forms.
"Good work, guys," Sora said.
"Yeah, but we haven't seen the last of them," Armadillomon said.
"Somehow I think you're right," Riku said. He was amazed to see them transform before them and then revert back to normal.
Paul was spending the night in the Pokémon Center, but Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Riku, Naminé, Pikachu, Eevee, Angel, Meowth, Azurill, and the Digimon has joined Cynthia in a place she was staying in since she was traveling.
"So, what is it that you wanted to discuss with us, Cynthia?" Sora asked.
"For one thing, Sora, I was wondering about your friends here. I never seen anything like this before. And I would know if they were Pokémon if I had ever seen," Cynthia said.
"You got it right, Cynthia, because they're actually Digimon. They came from a completely different world just like those other two we met," Sora said.
"I was amazed by how they just changed. It was like when a Pokémon evolves, but totally different," Riku said.
"You mean our Digivolution? We can Digivolve like when a Pokémon evolves," Agumon said.
"Just why did you change back?" Riku asked.
"We change back when we used up some energy," Biyomon said.
"Much like that Grizzlymon and Airdramon we met," Sora said. He remembered the fight when Gabumon and Biyomon first Digivolved to fight them.
"But at the same time it is like Mega Evolution," Cynthia stated. "Sora, if it's okay with you, I would like to have a battle with you. Six of mine against six of yours."
"Okay. I can take you up on it. You don't mind if I make some changes on my team, do you?" Sora asked, taking out his Pokémon Box.
"Not at all," Cynthia said. Sora exchanged his entire team, except for Pikachu for Melmetal, Naganadel, Gyarados, Silvally, and Arctozolt. Both of Sora and Cynthia got set. Sora wanted to be prepared for anything Cynthia could throw at him with some of the strongest Pokémon he's got. She took out her Pokéball and threw it. "Garchomp! Battle Dance!" Garchomp came on out to battle. Sora took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Arctozolt!" Sora called out. Arcozolt came on out. Cynthia was amazed by the sight of this fossil Pokémon.
"That's an interesting choice, Sora. And impressive looking Pokémon. You may make the first move," Cynthia said.
"Arctozolt! Blizzard!" Sora ordered. Arctozolt fires Blizzard right at the mach Pokémon.
"Dodge and use Dragon Rush!" Cynthia ordered. Garchomp avoids Blizzard and lands a hit onto Arctozolt. "Now use Brick Break!" Garchomp lands a Brick Break onto Arctozolt, dealing pretty heavy damage. Arctozolt was still standing after taking that hit.
"Arctozolt! Freeze-Dry!" Sora ordered. Arctozolt releases a gust of cold air from its mouth at Garchomp.
"Dig!" Cynthia ordered. Garchomp avoids Freeze-Dry by digging into the ground and came out fast, earning a knockout.
"Whoa," Sora said, calling Arctozolt back. "Take it easy, Arctozolt. You did your best." Cynthia could tell Sora cares deeply about his Pokémon. Sora took out his Beast Ball and threw it. "Your turn, Naganadel!" Naganadel came on out, ready to battle.
"Naganadel. It's one of those Ultra Beasts I have been hearing about. It's an honor to finally meet one in person," Cynthia said.
"Naganadel's ready for anything you throw at it. Naganadel! Dragon Pulse!" Sora ordered. Naganadel fires Dragon Pulse right at the mach Pokémon, knowing Dragon Type attacks will do so much damage to her.
"Dragon Rush!" Cynthia ordered. Garchomp rushes at the Ultra Beast and does a tremendous amount of damage onto It. Naganadel had been taken down just as easily. Sora calls Naganadel back and takes out his next Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Melmetal!" Sora called out, letting out Melmetal. Cynthia was impressed by another amazing Pokémon.
"A Melmetal. A mythical Pokémon. And a strong one by the looks of it," Cynthia said.
"Flash Cannon!" Sora ordered. Melmetal fires Flash Cannon right at Garchomp and lands a hit onto her. "Now use Mega Punch!" Melmetal lands a powerful punch onto Garchomp. "Double Iron Bash!" Melmetal spins around and lands a hit onto Garchomp. She took a bad hit for each one of those hits.
"Mighty impressive, Sora. You raised your Melmetal very well," Cynthia said.
"Thanks. Melmetal! Flash Cannon!" Sora ordered. Melmetal fires right at Garchomp.
"Dig!" Cynthia ordered. Garchomp dug into the earth and misses. Garchomp comes back up and lands a hit onto the hex nut Pokémon, earning a knockout. Sora calls back his Melmetal.
"That was good, Cynthia," Sora said. He took out another Pokéball and threw it. Gyarados! Your turn!" The Pokéball opens and stars swirls around Gyarados upon entry.
"A red Gyarados. Another unique Pokémon under your belt," Cynthia said.
"Gyarados! Dragon Pulse!" Sora ordered. Gyarados firees Dragon Pulse and struck Garchomp on the spot. Garchomp was still standing on her feet. "Ice Fang!" Gyarados started to come at Garchomp.
"Giga Impact!" Cynthia ordered. Garchomp uses Giga Impact and lands a powerful hit into the atrocious Pokémon and earned a knockout. Sora calls back Gyarados.
"Get some rest, Gyarados. You earned it," Sora said. He took out his Premier Ball and threw it. "Your turn, Silvally!" Silvally came on out and is ready to battle. He took out his Faity Memory DIsc. Silvally became a Fairy Type Pokémon. "Multi-Attack!" Silvally lunged at Garchomp and lands a heavy hit onto Garchomp and earned a knockout for Sora's favor.
"Excellent," Cynthia said, calling back her Garchomp. "You earned yourself a rest, Garchomp." She took out anohter Pokéball and threw it. "Milotic! Battle dance!" The Pokéball opens and her Milotic came on out.
"Silvally! Crush Claw!" Sora ordered. Silvally came at Milotic to land a hit.
"Aqua Tail!" Cynthia ordered. Milotic smacked its tail at Silvally and has earned a knockout. Sora looked right at Pikachu/
"Your turn, Pikahu!" Sora said.
"Pika!" Pikachu said. He enters the fray to battle Milotic.
"Quick Attack!" Sora ordered. Pikachu charges right at Milotic.
"Dodge and use Hydro Pump!" Cynthia ordered. Milotic avoids Pikachu's Quick Attack and fires Hydro Pump right at Pikachu.
"Thunderbolt!" Sora ordered. Pikachu fires Thunderbolt right at Milotic and lands a hit onto it. Pikachu then starts to run towards Milotic and then became surrounded by electricity. "That's Volt Tackle!" Pikachu lands a hit onto Milotic and he gets hurt by a recoil hit.
"Pikachu didn't know that before," Ventus said.
"Pikachu must have just learned to use it," Riku said.
"Volt Tackle again!" Sora ordered. Pikachu charges right at Milotic.
"Hydro Pump!" Cynthia ordered. Milotic fires Hydro Pump and lands right at Pikachu and had been taken down. Sora went up to his partner.
"You did great, buddy," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said weakly. Cynthia calls back her Milotic and smiled right at Sora.
"You're an excellent trainer, Sora. It has been a while since someone has taken down at least one of my Pokémon. You raised your Pokémon well," Cynthia said.
"I may have lost, but I enjoyed our battle. And I am looking forward in battling you again for real someday," Sora said.
"So am I, Sora. You raised your Pokémon well. I am especially impressed by your Pikachu," Cynthia said.
"Pikachu was the first Pokémon that I have ever had. He's been with me since the beginning. Same for Kairi," Sora said. Kairi smiled and nodded.
Cynthia has gotten started healing Sora's Pokémon and her Garchomp. They stayed for the night just so as Sora's Pokémon can rest. Kairi rested with Sora as did Meowth and the Digimon.
Over to Paul, he was unaware of Myotismon's bats in the same room as him. Myotismon has shown interest in him, same as Vorvomon.
In the Digital World, Myotismon is in his bed chambers as Duskmon walked in.
"Are you interested in this boy, master?" Duskmon asked.
"Indeed. I can sense so much anger in him. It is inviting. With him, he could be quite a puppet for my evil gain," Myotismon said.
"You intend of taking advantage of the darkness within him, master?" Duskmon asked.
"I do, Duskmon. And that is where you shall come in. You shall take part of corrupting his soul. And when his purpose is served, you shall have the pleasure of finishing him off," Myotismon said.
"It will be my pleasure, my lord," Duskmon said.
"Now, go. And await my instructions," Myotismon said. Duskmon bows his head and takes his leave.
Myotismon is going to take advantage of Paul's arrogance for his evil plans. And how does Duskmon fit so well with Myotismon's evil plan? And will Sora and his friends stop him before something bad happens? Just you wait and see.
