Episode 341: The Electrike Company
A couple of days has passed since dealing with Devimon and learn about the war in the Digital World. They couldn't help but wonder what sort of evil Digimon other than Devimon, Ogremon, Vorvomon, the Dracomon Brothers, and the BlackAgumon coming their way. As they pressed on, to their current destination.
"So, how much further until we reach Hearthrome City, Terra?" Ventus asked.
"We should be there in a matter of days as long as we don't make any stops," Terra said.
"Or as long as we don't run into Devimon or any other evil Digimon," Ventus said.
"I rather make an unnecessary stop rather than bump into one of those again," Meowth said. "Maybe somewhere where there's pizza."
"I would like pepperoni and extra cheese on my slice," Agumon said.
"You know something we could make a stop somewhere for lunch. Maybe we could find a place that has a good place to eat," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Good idea, because I'm satrting to get hungry," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"Okay, then, let's find a good place to eat up," Sora said.
"Yeah!" The Digimon all agreed with the idea.
They set off to find a good place to eat when they all bumped into a very familiar face. It was Edgar from Lumiose City in the Kalos region.
"It's been a long time," Edgar spoke.
"Edgar?" Sora asked surprised. The Digimon were confused since they had no idea who he is. "I don't believe it! We haven't seen you since the last round of the Indigo Plateau Pokémon League."
"Nor have I, Sora. Words cannot express how happy I am in seeing you again," Edgar said. He looked right at Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Ventus, Terra, and Aqua as well.
"And look who are here as well. You're all doing well I presume," Edgar said.
"Same to you, Edgar," Riku said. Edgar looked right at the Digimon and he smiled.
"I see you found your way into our world now," Edgar said.
"Huh?" Agumon asked.
"You know about the Digimon and the Digital World?" Ventus asked.
"Yes, because I have been there before we met," Edgar admitted. "That is where I first met my Porygon, Porygon2, and Porygon-Z." Everyone were slightly confused by what Edgar had just told them.
"What are your connection with the Digimon and in the Digital World?" Kairi asked.
"Perhaps we can talk in my villa. I was heading there when I ran into you," Edgar said. As they followed Edgar to his villa, Agumon spoke up.
"Who is he exactly?" Agumon asked.
"His name is Edgar. He's a trainer we met when Sora was training for the Indigo Plateau. We didn't see him at first, but he was at the P-1 Grand Prix and he was impressed by Sora's battling skills and he wanted to find him and have a battle with him," Riku explained.
"Was Edgar at the Indigo Plateau too?" Agumon asked.
"He was. He and Sora made it all the way to the final round and and Sora won it after both of them lost most of their Pokémon," Riku concluded.
"Eevee," Eevee said.
The group eventually reached the villa with a butler standing out in front.
"Welcome back, Master Edgar. May I assume you have made a promising progress in finding some wild Pokémon?" The butler asked.
"I have managed to come across a Burmy and a Mothim," Edgar replied, handing him the two Pokéballs. "See to it that they recieve the best care."
"Yes sir," the butler said. He looked over to the group with him. "May I presume that they're friends of yours, sir?"
"Yes. They will be joining me for lunch. Inform the cook to prepares something special," Edgar ordered.
"Yes sir. Will that be all, sir?" The butler asked.
"For the moment. And thank you," Edgar said. He turned to the group. "Everyone, I would like to introduce you to Clancy. He's my own personal butler."
"A pleasure," Clancy greeted. "Now, if you excuse me, I have Pokémon that needs treatment and a meal to prepare. And if there's anyhting you need, don't hesitate to ask." He takes off to carry on in his task.
Everyone sat in the living room as Edgar was about to share what he knows of the Digital World and the Digimon who live there. And more.
"I suppose you have a lot of questions about my knowledge of the Digital World, yes?" Edgar asked.
"Yeah we do," Sora said.
"I first came across that place by accident while in my own journey in the Kanto region. I was sucked into a Digital Gate and ended up in the Digital World. I was amazed by the sights and wonders of the Digital World and of its inhabitants," Edgar explained.

Edgar was astounded by the enviroment of the Digital World.
"The entire place was amazing. Not only I saw Porygon, Porygon2, and Porygon-Z, but all sorts of Digimon as well. I mistook them for a new kind of Pokémon at first, but I quickly found out that they weren't. I met several kinds of Digimon living there," Edgar narrated.
Edgar was having some tea with some of the reptile flower Digimon when they suddenly heard and explosion Edgar and the Digimon went out to look into it when they saw a tall, knight-like figure stood before them. He has a skull face on his chest covered by golden chest armor. He has an axe head-like torso is attached to the Digimon's left shoulder. He wore a long black cape and has a skeleton-like face with yellow eyes. He is holding a red double-lance in his right hand. "And that was when I met a Digimon calling himself AxeKnightmon. He was stating that only the strong shall rule over the weak. The Floramon I was staying with were going to be their next victims when suddenly, unexpected help came." Two Digimon came riding in to the rescue. One of them is a red bipedal dragon Digimon with a microphone in his right hand. He has a metallic body and joints, and he has headphones on its ears. The other is a quadrupedal, wolf-esque Digimon with white fur and an orange mane. He has boosters on his shoulders and spikes on his back and chests, but his main features are the drills it sports on its head, knees, and the tip of his tail. "Two Digimon calling themselves Shoutmon and Dorulumon came to our aide. They fended off AxeKnightmon, despite the little chance they had. AxeKnightmon was merciless, so he has slaughtered so many of the Floramon. But more Digimon has shown up and mange to drive off AxeKnightmon and his forces. As well as the Porygon, Porygon2, and Porygon-Z." Proygon, Porygon2, and Porygon-Z has driven off the attacking Digimon, causing AxeKnightmon to retreat.
"I will not forget this," AxeKnightmon said as he vanished.
"After out victory, the Digimon who assisted me has decided it was not safe for me to there since they knew AxeKnightmon will certainly come looking for me. And that was I caught all three of the virtual Pokémon. I continued on with my journey afterwards. And later, during the P-1 Grand Prix, is when I first saw you," Edgar narrated as we look forward to Edgar's memory.
(Present day)
"I never did forget about Shoutmon and Dorulumon for helping me. I felt like I owe them for helping me. But, I kept what I have learned about the Digimon and the Digital World since I figured no one would probably believe me even if I have spoken about it," Edgar concluded.
"I call it a good reason to keep quiet about it," Sora said. "Anyway, none of us have seen you since the closing ceremony. Just where did you go after that?"
"After the Indigo Plateau has reached its conclusion, I made my way home back to Lumiose City. Upon returning to the Kalos region, I embarked on a new journey of my own. I traveled all through the Kalos region, and through the Kingdoms of Orre and Florinda. I even traveled through the Orange Islands and the Galar region. I met all kinds of trianers and seen different kinds of Pokémon while there. News of your victories of the Johto and Hoenn Pokémon Leagues reached me and I wasn't surprised to see how much stronger you have grown since our battle. That's was when I came into the Sinnoh region. Clancy has been with me for the duration of my travels after the Indigo Plateau."
"Did you meet anyone we know from your travels?" Kairi asked.
"I met Prince Wesleyan and Princess Angela again and they wanted me to give you their regards for the battles you gave them," Edgar said. "And they hoped you would be attending the wedding soon." Sora and Kairi smiled happily. Clancy then entered the room.
"Lunch is served," Clancy announced.
Edgar and his guests went off to have the lunch promised to them. The lunch presented to them is a a series of pizzas, which was quite unusual for someone to be born in a rich family, but it was good. It was enough for everyone and enjoyed it. As they ate, they shared stories about their journeys in the Johto and Hoenn regions, like how Kairi met her parents again after a long time. Edgar was pleased to hear Kairi had met her long-lost parents after all these years.
After they had eaten, Edgar wanted to battle Sora again before they left.
"Sor, before you go, I would like to have a battle with you again for old times sake. But I propose that it will be a Double battle," Edgar said.
"Sure," Sora said. "To be honest, I was looking forward in battling you again."
"Wonderful," Edgar said. Everyone stepped outside for the battle to begin. Clancy is serving as the referee to the battle.
"The battle between Master Edgar and Sir Sora is about to begin. The battle shall be a double battle. Both trainers are allowed to use two Pokémon and no substitutions will be permitted by either one if them. The battle shall be over if both of either Pokémon are unable to continue! Choose your Pokémon and begin!" Edgar has taken out his two Pokéballs.
"Go! Urshifu and Drapion!" Edgar called out as he threw them. His Drapion came on out along with a large bipedal Pokémon resembling a humanoid black bear with a wushu motif. It has a muscular build with long legs and long arms with large paws and claws for striking. Its body and head are covered in gray, black, and white fur, minus the yellow muzzle. The front of the Pokémon's pelt slightly resembles a traditional frog buttoned/braid buttoned hanging off ends on both front and back. The fur on its head is spikier and flares into a flowing white and black headband. The backs of its hands, its knuckles, and the tops of its feet are also white-colored. The fur on top of its head and on its legs flows up, while its headband flares upward and backward. has its front fist raised, back fist lowered, and both feet planted on the ground. Sora took out his Pokédex and scanned Edgar's bear-like Pokémon.

The evolved form of Kubfu
Type: Fighting/Dark
This form of Urshifu is a strong believer in the one-hit KO. Its strategy is to leap in close to foes and land a devastating blow with a hardened fist. Inhabiting the mountains of a distant region, this Pokémon races across sheer cliffs, training its legs and refining its moves.
"That's what Kubfu evolves into?" Sora asked. "How did he get his hands on that?" Sora looked over to Pikachu. "Go right in, Pikachu."
"Pika!" Pikachu said. He took out another Pokéball and threw it. "Go! Cranidos!" Cranidos came out to battle along with Pikachu.
"A Cranidos. That's a prehistoric Pokémon if I'm not mistaken. But you made a poor choice because Urshifu is a Fighting Type Pokémon. Urshifu! Wicked Blow on Cranidos! Drapion! Use Night Slash on Pikachu!" Urshifu heads right towards Cranidos as Drapion heads towards Pikachu.
"Dodge it!" Sora called out. Pikachu avoids Drapion's Night Slash as Urshifu has successfully landed a blow onto Cranidos. The head butt Pokémon tumbles backwards. "Cranidos!"
"Urshifu! Use Focus Punch! Drapion! Cross Poison!" Edgar ordered. Urshifu builds up focus in its fist as Drapion came at the two opposing Pokémon with its claws emitting poison.
"Cranidos! Dodge and use Iron Head on Drapion! Pikachu! Use Iron Tail on Urshifu!" Sora ordered. Pikachu and Cranidos landed their Steel Type moves onto the opposing Pokémon. Urshifu lost its focus when he struck the wushu Pokémon on the spot.
"Not bad! Use Wicked Blow on Pikachu! Drapion! Poison Fang on Cranidos!" Edgar ordered. Urshifu and Cranidos charged right at Pikachu and Cranidos to land a hit.
"Dodge it!" Sora called out. They tried to dodge, but Urshifu and Drapion came too fast to dodge.. When Drapion loanded a hit onto Cranidos, he ended up getting poisoned. Pikachu took a pretty heavy hit from Urshifu, but Urshifu ened up getting paralyzed due to Pikachu's Static ability.
"Urshifu's paralyzed, so it won't be able to move all that much," Edgar said. Pikachu and Cranidos both got up on their feet. Cranidos was hurt from the poisoning.
"Pikachu! Quick Attack! Cranidos! Headbutt!" Sora ordered. Pikachu and Cranidos ran towards their opponents and landed a hit onto Urshifu and Drapion.
"Not bad, Sora. You're even better than I remember," Edgar said.
"Right back at you, Edgar," Sora said. "Cranidos! Iron Head onto Urshifu! Pikachu! Volt Tackle on Drapion!" Cranidos runs towards Urishifu as Pikachu runs towards Drapion to land a hit.
"Drapion! Urshifu! Dodge it!" Edgar called out. Urshifu has managed to dodge Cranidos's Iron Head, but Drapion wasn't so lucky when it was struck by Drapion as Drapion has taken a heavy hit by Volt Tackle and is taken down.
"Drapion is unable to battle!" Clancy announced.
"Not bad, Sora," Edgar said.
"You too, Edgar," Sora said. "Wanna continue, Edgar?"
"Yes. The battle is over is either of our Pokémon is unable to continue. Wicked Blow!" Edgar ordered. Headed right towards the smaller Pokémon to land a hit.
"Dodge it!" Sora called out. Pikachu and Cranidos avoided the wushu Pokémon trying to land a hit onto them.
"Thunderbolt! Iron Head!" Sora ordered. Pikachu fires Thunderbolt and Cranidos took Thunderbolt and the electricity and heads right Urshifu.
"Urshifu! Wicked Blow!" Edgar ordered. Urshifu goes to land a hit onto Cranidos, but dodges. He lands a hit onto Urshifu and earned a hit knockout for Sora's favor.
"Urshifu is unable to battle! Pikachu and Cranidos wins! Sora wins the battle!" Clancy announced. Edgar smiled happily that he got to have his battle with Sora again.
"That was a great battle, Sora. You're so much stronger than the last time," Edgar said.
"Thanks Edgar. You gotten stronger too," Sora said. They shook hands and they nodded.
AS they took off, they said their goodbyes to Edgar and he wished them luck along the way
Over in the Digital World, Leomon, Agunimon, Lobomon, Kumamon, and Loweemon all rode on Digimon that resembles ostriches wearing ninja attires. Their hair and tail feathers are yellow, their scarves are red, its body is black rather than purple, their wings are black rather than yellow, and their claws are white rather than red. They rode to rescue the Bearmon village to rescue the Bearmon.
Over to the Bearmon village, a large Digimon is attacking the village. It is a bipedal, muscular Digimon covered in brown fur, though its face, upper back, elbows, hands, and feet are red. It has red eyes, pink lips, and a large mouth. Its head is covered with a grinning white plush skull that has three cream horns, while it has two bone-like protrusions on its upper back. It has a white bandage on its left wrist.
"Destroyed Voice!" The Digimon shouted as it howls out a destructive soundwave. The Bearmon got hit by the soundwave. Another Digimon resembles a centaur. It has a humanoid upper body and a horse-like lower body. The majority of its body is covered with orange fur, but its muscles are covered in a blue plating. It wears a helmet that reveals only its red monoeye, and it only wears a shoulder guard on its left arm. Its left hand is metallic with a chain dangling from its wrist, while its right arm is a cannon.
"Solar Ray!" The centaur Digimon shouted as it fires right at the Bearmon. Another is a red quadrupedal beast Digimon with orange stripes and red eyes. Its chest as well as the tusks extending near its mouth is sky blue, while its mane is green. Its head is covered with a silver armor that looks like a heart, while on its forehead is a red version of the heart with one red curved mark near each side of it. With them are humanoid Digimon wearing a black rubber suits that obscures most of their features. Their faces are covered by gas masks that has tubes connected to the pack on its back. They have three fingers on each hand with what appears to be ports at the fingertips, and their feet look mechanized, with three clawed toes on each. They were all carrying machine guns.
"Heat Storm!" The beast Digimon sends out a hot wind right at the Bearmon. The Bearmon were scared out of their minds.
"Hurricane Wave!" A voice spoke as a pink tornado came and canceled out the hot wind. The beast Digimon snarled as Kazemon and Beetlemon came flying in the scene. "Nice try, Sethmon."
"Wendigomon! Centarumon! We have a problem!" Sethmon shouted. Wendigomon and Centarumon saw Leomon, Agunimon, Lobomon, Kumamon, and Loweemon ride in on the ninja ostrich Digimon.
"They're here!" Centarumon said.
"Troopmon! Open fire on the Resistance!" Wendigomon ordered. The Troopmon fired at the Resistance as Leomon drew out his sword and reflected the bullets. Agunimon jumped off and puts his fists together.
"Pyro Darts!" Agunimon shouted as he fires right at the Troopmon. They kept firing their weapons at the Resistance.
"Blizzard Blaster!" Kuma shouted as he fires snowballs right at the Troopmon from his launcher.
"Shadow Lance!" Loweemon shouted as he swiped his spear at them.
"Lobo Kendo!" Lobomon shouted as he swiped his laser swords at them. The swords slashed through the machine guns and the Digimon holding them.
"Peckmon! Kunai Wing!" Leomon ordered. The Peckmon threw kunai-like sharp, bladed feathers at the Troopman and they exploded upon contact. He got off his Peckmon and he pulls his fist back. "Fist of the Beast King!" He sends out a lion head aura and struck Wendigomon.
"We figured you would come here to rescue the Bearmon," Centarumon said.
"You are cowards to attack innocent Digimon! I will stand for it!" Leomon said.
"Destroyed Voice!" Wendigomon fires at Leomon as he dodges and gave him a kick in the chest. Sethmon makes an attempt onto Leomon, but Beetlemon came charging in.
"Lightning Blitz!" Beetlemon shouted as he rams right into Sethmon. Many of the Troopmon were destroyed as Kazemon has sent some of the others flying. Leomon, and the rest of his squad took what were left of the Bearmon and they retreated. They escaped into a secret compartment. Myotismon's armies were searching for the Resistance
"They escaped again!" Centarumon exclaimed.
"We still won the battle. And we will win the war," Wendigomon said, grinning.
Back in the SInnoh region, a couple of days had passed since meeting Edgar again. They made a stop by a lake to take a break. Gomamon, Prinplup, and Vaporeon all had themselves a swim as everyone else all had some refreshments. Naminé has prepared some hot coco for everyone and they all liked how it came out.
"This is great, Naminé," Veemon said, before taking a sip.
"Thank you, Veemon. I'm glad you're enjoying it," Naminé said.
"It's a good thing we made a stop over here. What a beautiful lake," Sora said.
"Chu" Pikachu added.
"And the weather is just perfect," Ventus said.
And then suddenly, without warning, a bolt of lightning came crashing down.
"Watch out!" Sora exclaimed as everyone hurriedly avoided the bolt. TH\he Digimon were afraid it was Devimon making his move again.
"Where did that come from?!" Terra questioned.
"Was that lightning?" Palmon asked.
"Not with this perfect blue weather!" Sora said. And then, they all turned their heads when they heard something coming towards them. Sparks were emitting from the running figure, fearing that it was another Digimon launching an attack.
"What's that?" Biyomon asked in fear.
"Oh no! It's gotta be a servant of Myotismon, charging to attack us!" Tentomon exclaimed in fear. Then, Riku took a much closer look.
"No it isn't, you guys! It's an Electrike! And it's going nuts!" Riku said. And he was right, becuase it was blindly running right at te group and unleashed another bolt of electricity, sending it right into the air. The bolt of electricity then started to come right down at them.
Everyone bolted to avoid the electric attack when Meowth tripped and got shocked himself. He screamed in pain as the shock was so strong.
"Meowth!" Patamon cried.
Electrike opens its eyes and stops in its tracks when it saw the group in its path. Everyone all went over to the scratch cat Pokémon, filled with concern for him.
"Are you okay, Meowth?" Kairi asked.
"Sorry!" A new voice called out. They all turned to see a young man with a ponytail running up to the group. "I knew this was going to hppen! Are you okay?"
"When they say that a conrnered Pokémon never fights, don't you believe it," meowth said in a daze.
"We're all okay," Sora said.
"I can't tell you how bad I feel," the young man said.
"Electrike," the Electrike apologized.
"Electrike and I have been out here practicing our electric moves, and as yu can see, we need practice," the young man said.
"No kidding," Meowth said.
"Meowth!" Aqua admonished the scratch cat Pokémon.
"It's really okay. Anyway, I'm Sora. This is my girlfriend Kairi, and my cousin Ventus," Sora introduced.
"Pika, Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Nice to meet you. This little Eevee here is Angel," Kairi introduced.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"I'm Riku and this is my girlfriend Naminé," Riku introduced.
"Eevee," Eevee said.
"Nice to meet you," Naminé said.
"Azurill," Azrill chirped.
"My name's Terra," Terra introduced.
"And I'm Aqua," Aqua introduced.
"I'm Agumon."
"I'm Gabumon."
"My name's Veemon."
"I'm Biyomon."
"I'm Tentomon."
"My names Palmon."
"I'm Gomamon."
"I'm Patamon."
"I'm Gatomon."
"I'm Armadillomon."
"I am Hawkmon."
"And I'm Wormmon."
"I'm Jaco. Believe it or not, I'm a Pokémon breeder," Jaco said.
"Really?" Sora asked.
"Pokémon breeder?" Gomamon asked.
"A Pokémon breeder is someone who raises Pokémon for health and friendship. They also help Pokémon breed, producing an egg," Riku said.
"You seem to know so much," Jaco said.
"I actually met some Pokémon breeders before," Riku said.
"Yeah?" Jaco asked. He looked right at Azurill and he smiled. "This Azurill looks very happy. That's a sign that it has been raised very well."
"Thanks. I raised Azurill ever since she came out of an egg we found," Naminé said.
"It must have been nice to have a Fairy Type Pokémon as your first. But Electric Type Pokémon are more of a challenge," Jaco said disheartened. Electrike was also disheartened. He then looked over to Meowth. "And I never thought I would see a talking Meowth."
"He's quite a chatterbox," Ventus said. Just then, an old man came to the scene.
"Jaco?" The old man spoke. "Who are all these children?"
"Hi sir. This is Sora and all his friends," Jaco said.
"Hello," everyone all said at once.
"Hello. My name's Cal and I'm the head of the Pokémon Training Center," Cal said.
"Pokémon Training Center?" Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Meowth, and the Digimon all asked.
"Yes. Specializing in Electric Type Pokémon," Cal said. He turned to face the Pokémon Training Center ahead of them. "See? That's part of the Pokémon Training Center complex."
"Bet there's are loads of Electric Type Pokémon!" Ventus said.
"So, Jaco, how are things going with Electrike?" Cal asked. Jaco looked at him disheartened.
"The truth?" Jaco paused. Cal understood what he meant.
"Right. But this one has so much potential. And it's your job to bring that potential out. I know you can do it, my boy," Cal said.
"Thank you sir," Jaco said, smiling. Cal had faith in him, and he wants to keep that faith going.
"Now, how would you young people like a little tour of our Pokémon Training Center?" Cal kindly offered.
"That'll be great," Sora said.
"You really mean it?" Kairi asked.
"As long as you don't mind things being a bit quiet," Cal said,
"Not at all," Naminé said.
Cal andJaco shows everyone around the facility and they notice no one was around. Cal is carrying an Electrike around in his arms.
"Where is everyone?" Ventus asked.
"I told you. All the others have finished with their training and graduated," Cal said. "Of course, this Electrike will do the same and the move on to Power Generating Room."
"What goes on in there?" Aqua asked.
"First you train them to use their lightning abilities, then they help you generate electricity, right?' Terra asked.
"That's right. But in order to do that, they must have complete control over all their Electric Type moves, which is why they train here first," Cal said.
"That's a good way to get started," Riku said.
"So now, we'll show you the results of their training," Cal said. He shows the guests the target training area. He places the Electrike he's holding to show them a proper demonstration. "Watch closely, please. Electrike! Use Charge!" His Electrike begins to build up electricity in its body.
"Charge powers up Electric Type moves," Riku said.
"Thunder, now!" Cal ordered. Cal's Electrike sends out a powerful Thunder attack. "Move it to the left." Electrike manipulates Thunder and sends it to the left, much to everyone's amazement.
"I didn'y know Electric Type Pokémon could do that," Sora said.
"Pika," Pikachu said.
"Neither did I," Riku said.
"Eevee," Eevee added.
Jaco's Electrike watched on and is unsure if it can do the same thing as Cal's Electrike has did.
"Now, upward!" Cal called out. Cal's Electrike moves it up and right into the sky. "Now, a quick descent, then hit the target!" Cal's Electrike puts loads of effort into Thunder as it moves Thunder right towards the targets and lands a direct hit onto the target. "Well done, Electrike."
"Trike!" Cal's Electrike said.
"That was awesome," Ventus said.
"That kind of control is really amazing," Gabumon said. Jaco's Eectrike became completely jealous of the effort Cal's Electrike has put into moving Thunder.
"Well, it certainly does make it much easier to safely perform their work," Cal said. "And you've got your work cut out for you."
"Right," Jaco agreed.
"And you may stay for as long as you like" Cal said.
"Thank you so much," Everyone all said.
"Let's go, Electrike," Cal said. he and his Electrike took their leave.
"So you'll teach the same thing to this Electrike as wel?" Biyomon asked.
"No," Jaco spoke, confusing everyone."If you ask me, this Electrike is doomed to fail,." He sighed "Look, it lost control during the last training session and caused you guys all sorts of trouble. I know the boss tells me it''l work out, but the thing is, I'm specializing in Flying Type Pokémon breeding, not Electric Type breeding."
"We never figured that," Kairi said.
"I'm stuck in a place that specializes with Electric Type Pokémon. The worst," Jaco spoke.
"I don't think the problem is Electrike," Riku said. He looked right at Riku. "The problem is you." Everyone all looked at him.
"How could you say that?" Jaco asked.
"The thing is, you're being rather picy about which Types of Pokémon and you're probably used to working with a specific Type of Pokémon. A breeder has taught me a bit of how a Pokémon and its trainer works well together," Riku said.
"Eevee," Eevee said.
"And if it's okay, we would like to help you out," Riku offered.
"Hanging out with Sora has rubbed off some of the helpfulnesss," Terra said as Aqua nodded in agreement.
Vorvomon and the Dracomon Brothers were flying above, listening in on the whole thing. They flew back and they were with a Digimon that is clad in black, full-bodied armor with a cape. He wields red lances as his hands, and his chest is a skull with red eyes. Vorvomon and the Dracomon Brothers saw him and flew down to him.
"SkullKnightmon? What are you doing here? I don't remember seeing you with us," Vorvomon said.
"I came on my own accord," SkullKnightmon replied. "And it would seem even Devimon has failed to deal with them."
"Hey! That wasn't our faut! And where were you when we were fighting the Resistance?" Vorvomon asked.
"I fight my own battles. And I take orders from only myself, not you, not Devimon, and not Myotismon," SkullKnightmon said.
"And if you think you're sure of yourself, I dare you to deal with Agumon and his human friends!" Vorvomon said.
"Because you're so weak, you can't seem to handle it yourself?" SkullKnightmon taunted. Vorvomon got steamed by SkullKnightmon's taunt. "But if it will be satisfactory to you, I shall do so. I would like to test their abilities to fight."
The sun sets as everyone is inside. Kairi was about to demonstrate on how to take proper care of Electrike.
"Electrike sbuilds electricity in its fur, so it's good to brush that fur all the time," Kairi said. Jaco took out a brush.
"Just like this?" Jaco asked, holding a metal brush in his hand. He uses it to brush Electrike's fur and gave him quite a shock. "What was that for?"
"You used the wrong kind of brush," Kairi said. Jaco got back up.
"What do you mean?" Jaco asked. Kairi picked up the brush and held it.
"This is a metal brush. Metal brushes conducts electricity," Kairi said. She took out her brush and uses it on Electrike. "And here's the proper way to do it." She brushes Electrike's fur. "The first thing you want to do is relax Electrike like this." Jaco was amazed by how well she's handled it. Electrike purrs to the brushing. "Then you have to trust Electrike, and doing that will teach it to trust you back. It's the same for raising Flying Type Pokémon." Jaco looked right at Electrike.
"I guess you're right," Jaco said. "The problem with Electrike is I haven't really had any faith."
"Kairi has a natural gift," Biyomon said.
"She sure does," Agumon agreed. Electrike fell right to sleep.
On the very next morning, Sora, KSora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Riku, Naminé, Pikachu, Eevee, Angel, Meowth, Azurill, and the Digimon all stood out in the targets outside. In the meantime, Sora and Kairi had exchanged their entire teams for Manectric, Electivire, Magneton, Shinx, Boltund, the Shiny Ampharos, Electabuzz, Pachirisu, Raichu, and Jolteon for the proper teachings.
"All right, Electrike, ready for some training?" Jaco asked.
"Trike!" Electrike answered.
"Let's start with Charge!" Jaco stated. Electrike began charging up electricity. "Now, Thunderbolt!" Electrike fires Thunderbolt right at the target, but it moves and zaps Meowth again.
"NOT AGAIN!" Meowth yelled. Jaco gasped when he saw what Electrike did.
"Electrike! Stop!" Jaco ordered. Electrike did stop.
"You okay, Meowth?" Sora asked.
"I don't have a magnet, do I? I can't have on in my pocket, becaue I don't have pockets!" Electrike is then ashamed of the failure.
"What went wrong now?" Jaco asked.
"The problem is the timing," Riku said. Jaco looked right at Riku.
"What do you mean by that?" Jaco asked. Riku looked right at Sora and Kairi.
"Sora, Kairi, how about you show him?" Riku suggested.
"Sure thing," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
Sora and Kairi took out their Electric Type Pokémon to show him a proper demonstration. Pikachu, Electivire, Manectric, Magneton, Shinx, Boltund, Raichu, Electabuzz, Pachirisu, Jolteon, and Ampharos stood in line to show them.
"Okay, guys, store up some electricity," Sora said. Pikachu, Electivire, Shinx, Magneton, Manectric, and Boltund start up to build up eectricity. Meowth took out some rubber just in case it happens again.
"You do the same thing," Kairi said. Raichu, Ampharos, Pachirisu, Electabuzz, and Jolteon all did the same thing. THey were all so focused.
"Pikachu! Manectric! Thunderbolt! Electivire! Thunder! Magneton! Shock Wave! Shinx! Thunder Shock!" Sora ordered. Pikachu and the other Electric Type Pokémon all fired their electric attacks at the targets.
"Raichu! Electabuzz! Ampharos! Thunderbolt! Pahirisu! Discharge! Jolteon! Thunder Shock!" Kairi ordered. Kairi's Electric Type Pokémon all fired right at the targets. Jaco was very impressed by the way the couple handled their Electric Type attacks.
"Right in the middle!" Jaco said.
"The best timing for storing and firing electricity depends on each Pokémon," Terra said.
"That makes sense to me," Jaco said.
"This Electrike probably has more power than a normal Electrike," Riku said. This surprises Jaco.
"More power than normal?" Jaco asked.
"I think Riku is right. My Manectric didn't have all that much power when he was an Electrike," Sora agreed. "In fact, I don't think yours had that much juice either."
"You think it was because of excess power?" Ventus asked.
"Exactly," Riku said.
"So that means all I have to do is figure out what Electrike's perfect timing is, and we're all set!" Jaco said.
"That's all you need," Riku said.
"Okay, Electrike, let's get back to taining!" Jaco said. SkullKnightmon looked over to a Digimon that resembles an anomalocaris (prehistoric sea scorpion if you're wondering). The Digimon has a pair of compound eyes on stalks in addition to a pair of blue eyes, a disk-like mouth lined with serrated prongs, and two large 'arms' with barb-like spikes in front of the mouth. It has two large blades and three pairs of spikes on its back. It has broad paddle-like legs with bladed edges in front of a row of blades on the sides of its body. It has a tail with spiked segments that ends in a blade-like styliform.
"You know what should be done, Anomalocarimon," SkullKnightmon said.
"Will you reward me some clams like you promised?" Anomalocarimon asked.
"Afterwards. Go in the water and wait for instructions," SkullKnightmon instructed. Anomalocarimon went in the water to await for the signal to attack. Anomalocarimon dove in the water and scared the fish Pokémon swimming there.
Inside the building, Kairi is making some Pokémon food for all the Pokémon to enojy. Jaco sees her, making the food and went up to her.
"Your'e still up?" Jaco asked.
"Just making something for the Pokémon," Kairi said. Jaco was amazed by what she had made.
"Kairi, you made all of this?!" Jaco exclaimed in shock.
"Yes. Different food for different Pokémon. I learned to make this from Brock, a Gym leader we met in Pewter City. He taught me that Pokémon has different likes and dislikes just like people do. Pokémon breeders pays close attention to the Pokémon diets. When I make some, I use the Pokémon food to match their Types and characteristics," Kairi said.
Outside, Pikachu, Angel, Eevee, and Electrike were out and he was showing Electrike how to use his electricity properly.
"And that's how you do it." - Pikachu subtitle.
"I'm still not sure if I'll be able to pull it off." - Electrike subtitle.
"You never know unless you try it." - Pikachu
"He's right. You just to build up confidence to pull it off." - Eevee subtitle.
"You think so?" - Eectrike subtitle.
"I know so. Pikachu has faith in you. And so does Jaco." - Angel subtitle. Electrike looked at the three Pokémon and he tried to do it himself. He aims at a tree and tries again. The timing was as off.
"My timing was off, wasn't it?" - Electrike subtitle.
"We'll just keep on trying." - Pikachu subtitle. Pikachu fires Thunderbolt again. SkullKnightmon gave Anomalocarimon the signal from underwatter and the sea scorpion-like Digimon emerged from the water, cathing them by surprise. Anomalocarimon crosses his claws together.
"Surprise Stinger!" He shouted as a blade of energy is fired at them. Pikachu, Eevee, Angel, and Electrike were struck by the attack. Everyone heard the commotion and headed out to see what it was all about.
"Pikachu!" Sora gasped.
"Electrike!" Jaco also gased.
"Eevee!" Riku also gasped.
"Angel!" Kairi added.
Ventus saw the large Digimon in the water as it came to shore.
"What is that?" Jaco asked.
"It's an Anomalocarimon!" Gomamon gasped.
"Another Digimon?!" Riku exclaimed.
"Yeah he is," Agumon said.
"I'm going to enjoy breaking you like I break open clams," Anomalocarimon said. He raises his bladed tail to land a hit. "Tail Blade!" He brought his stinger down, but they dodged the attack. Agumon and the other Digimon moved right into give him a beating. The Digimon then started to Digivolve. One by one, the Rookie level Digimon all Digivoved into their Champion forms.
"Agumon Digivolve to... Greymon!"
"Veemon Digivolve to... Veedramon!"
"Gabumon Digivolve to... Garurumon!"
"Wormmon Digivolve to... Stingmon!"
"Biyomon Digivolve to... Birdramon!"
"Tentomon Digivolve to... Kabuterimon!"
"Armadillomon Digivolve to... Ankylomon!"
"Palmon Digivolve to... Togemon!"
"Hawkmon Digivolve to... Aquilamon!"
"Gomamon Digivolve to... Ikakkumon!"
"Patamon Digivolve to... Angemon!"
The Digivolved Digimon stood before Anomalocarimon, ready to fight him.
"Get him!" Greymon ordered. The Digimon all rushed him to launch the attack. Anomalocarimon was outnumbered, ut he didn't care about numbers.
"Scorpion Storm!" Anomalocarimon shouted as he fires a stream of sand at them. The Digimom all got struck by the attack. Veedramon moved in first.
"Hammer Punch!" Veedramon shouted as he slams his fist into Anomalocarimon's shell. Ankylomon charged right in as well. "Megaton Press!" Ankylomon shouted as he slams right into Anomalocarimon's body, but he bats them off with his claws like they were flies.
"Harpoon Torpedo!" Ikkakumon fires his missles at the sea scorpion Digimon and he was still standing. Greymon, Garurumon, Kabuterimon, and Stingmon moved in next to deliever some moves of their own.
Greymon, "Great Antler!"
Garurumon, "Subzero Ice Fang!"
Kabuterimon, "Big Horn!"
Stingmon, "Spiking Strike!"
Greymon rams into Anomalocarimon's left as Kabuterimon strikes him on the right. Garurumon bites onto his tail as Stingmon struck him in the head. Gatomon jumps to deliever a hit onto him.
"Lightning Paw!" Gatomon shouted as she lands a punch onto him. Anomalocarimon bats the five Digimon off with his claws as Togemon, Birdramon, Angemon, and Aquilamon came in next to land a hit.
Togemon, "Needle Spray!"
Aquilamon, "Blast Rings!"
Birdramon, "Meteor Wing!"
Angemon, "Hand of Fate!"
They all struck him at the same time. Anomalocarimon was hurt, but he was still standing on his feet, despite the assault he took from them.
"You think that'll keep me down!" Anomalocarimon asked.
"We have more than enough strength to crack your shell, you arachnid!" Kabuterimon taunted, casuing Anomalocarimon to take a swing at him.
"Don't ever call me arachnid!" Anomalocarimon hissed.
"It's not like you're a real insect," Stingmon added. He readies his arms. "Moon Shooter!" He fires a huge needle at his tail and struck it. He heads right towards the stinger again. "Spinning Spiking Strike!" He gave Anomalocarimon a flurry of kicks all over his body. Ankylomon and Angemon moved right in next.
"Tail Hammer!" Ankylomon shouted as he slams his tail onto Anomalocarimon's head.
"Angel Typhoon!" Angemon shouted as he spins his staff around and unleashed a tornado. The wind attack struck Anomalocarimon on the spot.
"Everyone, how about we all strike him at the same time?" Greymon suggested.
"Right!" All the other Digimon agreed.
Greymon, "Nova Blast!"
Garurumon, "Howling Blaster!"
Birdramon, "Meteor Wing!"
Kabuterimon, "Electro Shocker!"
Togemon, "Needle Spray!"
Ikkakumon, "Harpoon Torpedo!"
Angemon, "Hand of Fate!"
Gatomon, "Cat Laser!"
Veedramon, "V-Nova Blast!"
Stingmon, "Moon Shooter!"
Aquilamon, "Blast Rings!"
Aknylomon, "Knockout Beat!"
The Digimon all fired their attacks right at Anomalocarimon. Gatomon fires a laser of light right at him as Ankylomon slams his forelegs down on the ground, causing a pillar of rocks to erupt from the ground. They all struck Anomalocarimon all at the same time and he explodes into bits of data. All of the Champion level Digimon, except for Gatomon, reverts back to their Rookie forms after that fight.
SkullKnightmon was watching the fight closely and he was impressed by their teamwork.
"Outstanding. They're even better as a team than I thought. It was no wonder Devimon had such difficulty against them," SkullKnightmon said to in his thoughts.
On the very next morning, everyone all woke up, needing to recover from that fight against Anomalocarimon. Jco brought some Pokémon food for Pikachu, Angel, Eevee, and Electrike. Angel ate the food that he provided to them.
"One more time, Electrike! Charge!" Jaco ordered. Electrike starts to build up energy. Jaco waited until the right moment to fire its attack. "Now! Thunderbolt!" Electrike fires Thunderbolt right at the target and it struck it hard, much to everyone's excitement.
"Wow, you did it! You did it!" Jaco praised. "Electrike, that was wonderful!" Jaco hugged the lightning Pokémon i his arms.
"Now, all that's left is to learn how to control it," Riku said.
"And once that's done, Electrike will graduate," Ventus said. Riku nodded. Sora, and Meowth both wore jackets with targets on thier backs.
"You sure it's a good idea?" Sora asked, not sure if he should do this.
"Don't worry. The jackets you're wearing are made from rubber, so as long as you wear them, you'll be perfectly fine," Jaco assured them.
"It's okay, Sora. I was kinda ready to be zapped again after the first two times. And I ain't counting all the times we got zapped by Pikachu's electricity," Meowth said.
"Okay, Electrike! Thunder!" Jaco ordered. Electrike fires Thunder right at Sora and Meowth. THey avoid the attack and begin running.
"I just hope Ash doesn't get mixed in this in his world!" Sora said in his thoughts.
"Okay, Eectrike! After them!" Jaco said as he and Electrike gave chase. Cal was driving by and he sees what's going on and he smiles, knowing Jaco and Electrike were working well together.
"Whoa, when it comes to training, I like their style," Cal said. Electrike kept on firing and firing at them.
"You gotta concentrate, Electrike! I know you can do it!" Jaco said.
Just then, a Vorvomon came diiving down right at Electrike. Agumon springs into action.
"Pepper Breath!" Agumon shouted as he fired a fireball right at Vorvomon. The fireball struck him as he came tumbling down. "Nice try, Vorvomon!"
"So, you got me! Big deal!" Vorvomon snorted The Dracomon Brothers shows up and they were ready to fight the other Digimon. Electric began to evolve and then became an Manectric as growled right at Vorvomon.
"Manectric, target him!" Agumon said.
"You heard him, Manectric! Use Charge!" Jaco ordered. Manectric began buidling up electricity. Jaco waited for the right moment to fire the electricity. And then it came. "Use Thunder!" Vorvomon flew to the right. "Move it to the right!" Manectric moves it to the right. Vorvomon moves to the left. "Left!" Manectric moves it to the left right atfter Vorvomon.
"Leave me alone!" Vorvomon shouted. "Dracomon! Don't just stand there, you idiots! Do something!" The Dracomon Brohters were about to get to Jaco, but Palmon stepped in.
"Poison Ivy!" Palmon shouted as she wrapped them up into her vines. "Why don't you boys just stick around?"
"Going up!" Vorvomon said as he flew straight up to avoid Manectric's Thunder. "Can't get me now!" He does an eyelid taunt to Manectric.
"Rise your Thunder high!" Jaco ordered. Manectric raised staright into the air and struck Vorvomon. He goes flying right into the sky.
"Blew it again!" Vorvomon said as he blasts off again.
"Don't forget your bozos!" Palmon shouted as she threw the Dracomon Brothers right into the air.
"Wait for us!" The Dracomon Brothers shouted as they blast off as well.
"Manectric's control wass unbelievable!" Ventus said.
"Thanks. We'll need that on the test," Jaco said.
"The test is over," a familiar voice spoke. Everyone turned to see Cal standing there with a smile. He was watching the whole thing and he was mighty proud of Jaco and Manectric. "I've seen all I need to. Manectric graduates with honors." Jaco was pleased with the results.
"Really?" Jaco asked, happily. "Manectric, you're in!" He gave Manectric a hug and Manectric shared Jaco's happiness.
"I think you're both in," Aqua said.
"You two sure earned it," Sora and Ventus both said.
"Pika, Pika," Pikachu said.
"Eevee!" Angel added.
"We did! Thank you!" Jaco said with a smile. The sun sets as everyone all set off to take off to Hearthrome City. Cal and Manectric were heading off as well.
"Let's go, Manectric," Cal said. "Well really be able to use the help you can give over at the Power Generating Room."
"Tric," Manetric said. Cal walked up to Manectric, sad for saying goodbye.
"Manectric," Jaco said. Manectric turned to Jaco. The two of them stare into each other. Manectric was sad to leave Jaco and it could see saddness in his eyes. He kneels and he pets Manectric. "I'll miss you."
"Tric," Manectric said. Cal drove off as Jaco waves goodbye to his friend. Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Riku, Naminé, Pikachu, Eevee, Angel, Meowth, Azurill, and the Digimon watched on as they went their seperate ways.
"After all the hard work they did together, it's too bad they have to say goodbye," Gatomon said.
"It's part of the job, Gatomon," Riku said. "Great breeders prepare their Pokémon fpr living life to the fullest, like Jaco," Riku said.
"Hearthrome City awits us," Terra said.
"Pika," Pikachu said.
Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Riku, Naminé, Pikachu, Eevee, Angel, Meowth, Azurill, and the Digimon say their goodbyes to Jaco as they took off for Heartrome City. A lesson in trust go a long way to deepen relationships between people and Pokémon. And with that lesson fresh in their minds and hearts, Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Riku, Naminé, Pikachu, Eevee, Angel, Meowth, Azurill, and the Digimon bid farewell to a Pokémon breeder who just happened to be at the right place and time to learn that lesson. Now the journey to Hearthrome City continues.
