Episode 343: Sandshrew's Locker
Before we begin the chapter, I would like to tell you that I plan on having Hawkmon, Armadillomon, and Wormmon Digivolve into the Ultimate level because of Veedramon Digivolving into AeroVeedramon. The reason for that is because I believe they deserve better Ultimate forms other than the many selections made for them. Also, they'll be a variant of Stingmon, Ankylomon, and Aquilamon. Also, to remind you, Kairi's Contest and Sora's Gym battle will be on the very next chapter. Now, we'll get the chapter underway!
We take a look at a short little girl with fair skin, burgundy eyes, and long burgundy hair that's held up in a side ponytail on the left and a loop on the right with golden bell-shaped hair clips. She wears a white shirt with poofy sleeves, a burgundy collar-like tie and matching shorts, white tights, and burgundy shoes with poofy cuffs. She stood before a lake and sighed sadly.
"If only I could get to poor Sandshrew," the girl said.
She looked at the water and we take a look into the water to see that there was an underwater town. Swimming in the water is a large Gyarados. Along with something else. It was a Seadramon and he had claimed the entire lake as his turf. His eyes gave off an evil red flash.
"This whole lake belongs to Seadrmon now," Seadramon proclaimed as he laughs. Seadramon swims on through the water, patrolling the entire lake.
Over to Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Riku, Naminé, Pikachu, Eevee, Angel, Meowth, Azurill, and the Digimon, they were getting closer than ever to Hearthrome City. It has been a few days since Sora has caught himself a Hippopotas after dealing with Ogremon, some Meramon, and some Goblimon. They still weren't sure what happened to Devidramon, but they decided that one didn't count. Sora and Kairi made some changes on their teams again. Sora exchanged Kubfu, Prinplup, and Turtwig for Stunky, and the Galarian Linoone as Kairi had exchanged Leafeon and Kricketune for Volbeat and Illumise. The two firefly Pokémon worked hard on their dance routine to get it down. It was absolutley perfect.
Sora learned that Fantina specializes with Ghost Type Pokémon, so a team of Dark Type Pokémon would be perfect. Stunky, Murkrow, and the Galarian Linoone were perfect fot the Gym battle. Riku then got an ida on the matter.
"Hey, Sora, how about we get some practice down. And since you'll be up against Ghost Type Pokémon, Dusknoir would be the perfect opponent against the Pokémon you'll be using," Riku said. Sora thought for a moment and decided to take him on that challenge.
"Okay, Riku, I'll take you on that," Sora said. He took out his three Pokéballs and tossed them. "Linoone, Stunky, and Murkrow! Come on out!" The three Dark Type Pokémon came on out as Riku has let out his Dusknoir.
"Okay, Duknoir, you ready for some excercise?" Riku asked. Dusknoir nodded.
"Okay, Stunky, you'll be going in first," Sora said. The skunk Pokémon nodded as he got ready to go. "All right, Stunky! Night Slash!" Stunky jumped to deliever a Night Slash attack onto Dusknoir!"
"Shadow Punch!" Riku ordered. Dusknoir gave Stunky a shadowy punch in the face. Sora knew Shadow Punch never misses.
"Venoshock!" Sora ordered. Stunky fires Venoshock right at the gripper Pokémon and it struck him on the spot. "Use Bite!" Stunky comes at the gripper Pokémon to land a bite onto him.
"Dodge," Riku called out. Dusknoir moves to the right despite his slow speed. "Now, use Shadow Punch!" Dusknoir gave Stunky another Shadow Punch. Sora calls back Stunky and he looked right at Linoone.
"Okay, Linoone! Go!" Sora said. The Galarian rushing Pokémon nodded and went right in.
"So, a Normal Type comes right in. Good move since Ghost Type attacks don't do any damage on a Normal Type Pokémon. But I know what will. Dark Pulse!" Dusknoir forms Dark Pulse and fires it right at the galarian Linoone. He got hit by the attack on the mark. "How was that, Sora?"
"Not bad, Riku. He's one more. Linoone! Use Snarl!" Sora ordered. Linoone releases multiple purple and black rings of energy from his mouth and right at Dusknoir. "Now, use Shadow Claw!" Linoone came at Dusknoir and lands a hit onto the gripper Pokémon.
"Not too bad, Sora," Riku said. "Anything else?" Sora calls back Linoone with one more trick.
"Be careful for what you asked for," Sora said, looking right at Murkrow. "You're up, Murkrow."
"Murkrow!" Murkrow said, taking flight into battle. "Use Haze!" Murkrow sends out Haze and it covers up the whole area.
Unknown to them, the girl from the lake was walking throough the woods and she saw two trainers battling one another.
"Maybe, they would be perfect to help me out," the girl said.
"Dusknoir! Blow the Haze away!" Riku called out Dusknoir blows Haze away by swinging his arms around.
"Feint Attack!" Sora ordered. Murkrow vanishes and reappears and lands a hit onto Dusknoir.
"That's enough for now," Riku said. "You should get some rest, Dusknoir." He took out his Pokéball and calls Dusknoir back inside it. Sora does the same for Murkrow. "You got some practice under your belt, so don't think it'll be a walk in the park with Fantina."
"Don't worry, Riku. After dealing with Morty in the Johto region, I'm more than ready for any surprises she has for me," Sora said. "Also, Acerola has some mean Ghost Type Pokémon too, if you remember."
"Also, there's the Heartrome Contest. You promised that we can do my Contest first, Sora," Kairi reminded her boyfriend.
"I know. It would be selfish of me if I ducked out of it after making that promise," Sora said. Kairi loved how considerate he was being.
"Hearthrome City? So, that couple is heading there for a Gym battle and a Contest. Maybe they can help me out. Problem is, how am I going to convince them to help me out?" The girl thought to herself. "I'll have to wait for them to come my way." Good fortune smiles on her because the group were making their way to Hearthrome City since they were almost there. The girl then comes before the group with a smile on her face. "Hi there!" The group were surprised by her sudden appearence. "Uh, in case you happen to be going to Heartrome City I can tell you about a great shortcut."
"A shortcut? That'll be great," Sora said.
"That's very nice of you," Aqua said.
"That'll help us out a lot," Terra said.
"Sure! And by the way, my name is Mira," Mira introduced herself.
"I'm Sora. This is my girlfriend Kairi and my cousin Ventus, but we call him Ven," Sora introduced.
"Nice to meet you," Ventus said.
"I'm Terra," Terra introduced.
"I'm Aqua," Aqua introduced.
"I'm Riku and this is my girlfriend Naminé," Riku introduced.
"Hi," Naminé greeted.
"I'm Agumon. And these are my friends. Gabumon, Veemon, Biyomon, Tentomon, Wormmon, Hawkmon, Armadillomon, Palmon, Gomamon, Patamon, and Gatomon," Agumon finished as the rest of the Digimon waved.
"So, tell us about that shortcut, Mira," Sora said. We just to get there before the sun sets," Sora said.
"Relax. Hold on a sec," Mira took out a Pokéball and opens it. "Abra, come on out." Her Abra came out to greet the group.
"An Abra," Ventus said.
"Looks like you raised her well," Kairi said.
"What does Abra has to do with the shortcut?" Sora asked.
"Relax, Sora. You just hang on to Abra when she teleports. And you'll be in Heartrome City, just like that," Mira said. The group didn't suspect that it was a lie.
"Your Abra can teleport all of us?" Riku asked.
"It's the result of lots of special training," Mira said. "Okay, everyone, hold on to Abra." The group held onto the psi Pokémon. "Abra! Teleport!" Abra telepports them out of sight. Vorvomon and the Dracomon Brothers had finally caught up to them, only to vanish.
"Where did they go?! We had them in our sights and now we lost them!" Vorvomon exclaimed.
"Devimon isn't going to be happy that we lost them again," the first Dracomon said.
"No he isn't," the second Dracomon agreed.
"We better go and find them before he finds out," the first Dracomon said.
"I was about to suggest that to you morons! Come on! Let's go and find them," Vorvomon said as he and the Dracomon Brothers set off to search for Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Riku, Naminé, Pikachu, Eevee, Angel, Meowth, Azurill, and the Digimon.
Over in the Digital World, Guilmon, Renamon, Terriermon, and Lopmon were worrying about Agumon and the others, wondering how they could get to the real world.
"If only we could get there," Lopmon said.
"If only it was that simple, Lopmon. We have no way of knowing on where to look in the human world," Renamon said.
"We can't just sit on our buns and do nothing," Terriermon said.
"That's all we can do. Until Leomon gives the word, we can't just go blindly into a different world without a plan," Guilmon said.
"It's not like we can just go across into the real world when a Digital gate opens up," Terriermon said. Suddenly, a DIgital Gate opens in front of the four Digimon. "Holy Digicrap, I wasn't even serious."
"Good, it's opened," Jijimon said, walking up to them. Leomon, Lalamon, and Gaomon is with him as well.
"Jijimon, Leomon," Guilmon said.
"What is this about?" Renamon asked.
"Jijimon opened up the Digital Gate to get you into the human world. I have gotten word from Wizardmon that Myotismon has sent many of his minions into the real world. That included Devimon himself. So I'm sending you six in to counter that threat."
"Six? You mean, they're coming too?" Terriermon asked.
"Yes," Leomon said.
"But before you go, I have something to give you," Jijimon said, handing them seven devices to them. "You'll have to give our new human allies one of these each."
"What are they?" Guilmon asked.
"I have learned that the humans has a device that they call a Pokédex. This is known as a Digidex. It will display the information of the Digimon they come across with. It shoudl come in handy," Jijimon said.
"How come we're going in? How will we know where to start looking?" Lopmon asked.
"You'll know. In the meantime, keep a look out for any of Myotismon's followers. Take them out if you can. We can handle ourselves here in the Dgital World," Leomon said.
"We won't let you down," Gaomon said.
"I know I can count on you. Take care out there. All of you," Leomon said. The six Digimon all enters the through the Digital Gate. Jijimon closes it and looked up to the sky.
"Come back safe," Jijimon said.
In Hearthtrome City, Guilmon, Terriermon, Renamon, Gaomon, and Lalamon all enters thorugh the Digital Gate, scaring the local Murkrow.
"We made it through," Gaomon said.
"Where are we?" Lalamon asked.
"We're in the human world," Lopmon said. The Digimon saw the humans going about their daily routine. The six Digimon went on with their task to find Agumon and the others.
Over to the lake, Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Riku, Naminé, Pikachu, Eevee, Angel, Meowth, Azurill, and the Digimon. They were on a dam instead of their destination.
"Here we are!" Mira said.
"Finally, we're here at la-" Srao paused. "Wait a minute. Are we at the wrong place?"
"I don't remember it being on a dam," Terra said.
"Pika," Pikachu said.
"There's more water here to fill a hundred bathtubs," Meowth said.
"Well, we are at a ake," Gabumon stated.
"Oh dear, I guess we made a mistake," Mira said. Everyone did an Anime-style fall. "Sorry about that."
"That's just great," Meowth said.
"I guess we all mistakes, don't we?" Riku asked.
"Eevee," Eevee said.
"You think we can try again?" Kairi asked.
"Hold on," Mira said. Everyone were wondering what she has in mind. "I need to ask you all a favor."
"A favor?" Sora asked.
"See, a while back I dropped my grandmother's beautiful pendant into the lake down there. And so..." Mira paused.
"I get it. So you thought you'd ask us if we'd help you to get your pendant back," Terra said.
"You mean, you teleported us here oin purpose?" Kairi asked.
"I'm sorry," Mira apologized.
"Don't be. You should have just told us from the start. And we would have helped you then," Sora said.
"But wouldn't it be easier for Abra to teleport under water?" Biyomon asked.
"Yeah, but the thing is, Abra can't teleport underwater. Big problem," Mira said.
"Okay, we'll help you out first, then you can help us out," Sora said.
"Pika, Pika," Pikachu said.
"I'd like to help out too," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"Count us in," Terra said. Mira wasn't expecting this, so she beamed at the help she was getting.
"Thanks so much!" Mira said. "You have any Water Type Pokémon that can help out?" Mira asked.
"I have a Prinplup and a Buizel," Sora said, taking out his Pokémon Box and exchanged Chimchar and the Galarian Linoone for Buizel and Prinplup.
"I have Manaphy and Phione, so they're perfect to help out," Kairi said.
"That's great!" Mira said.
"And Gomamon, you up for a little swim?" Sora asked.
"You know it," Gomamon said. Gomamon was the only one who can swim underwater well.
"Just how are we going to get around? The lake is huge," Riku pointed out.
"Not a problem," Mira said. A plan was now underway. Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Ventus, Terra, and Aqua changed int their swimsuits to get there. Sora wore a pair of red and bklue swim trunks as Kairi wore a green bikini wth a skirt. Riku wore a pair of black trunks with orange streaks as Naminé wore a white two piece swimsuit with a flower in the middle. Terra wore brownish-green trunks with white streaks as Aqua wore an ocean blue bikini. Prinplup, Buizel, Manaphy, and Phione were out and ready to go. Mira wore a swimsuit that is a white top with pink shorts. "Here, take these. You'll be able to stay underwater a long time." She hands them air masks to help them breathe underwater.
"You ready to go?" Sora asked.
"Just waiting on you," Gomamon said. Pikachu, Angel, Eevee, and Abra had air masks as well as Meowth and the other Digimon stayed behind. Everyone were surpriesed to see the town underwater. They never could expect such a thing. An entire city was under water. It was like Atlantis, but only more modern. The group had to focus on the task at hand. Mira led them to the direction she wanted them to go. Terra suspected there was something going on. They got close to what looks like a school. Inside the school building is a Gyarados and it swam right at them. Gyarados comes right back at them.
"Marching Fishes!" Gomamon shouted as several fishes had come right at Gyarados, but dodged the,.
"Hydro Pump! Water Gun!" Sora ordered.
"Bubble Beam!" Kairi ordered.
Manaphy and Phione fired Bubble Beam right at the atrocious Pokémon as Prinplup and Buizel fires Hydro Pump and Water Gun as well. Gyarados fires Hyper Beam at them. As they swam out of the way, they heard something else in the water. They all turned to see Seadrmon swimming at them.
"Seadramon!" Gomamon exclaimed. Seadramon smacks him with his tail, sending him down. Sedramon aims at the aquatic Digimon.
"Ice Arrow!" Seadramon shouted as he fires an absolute zero breath from his mouth. Gomamon was in trouble, but Prinplup and Buizel saves him before they could strike. They retreated up o the surface as but Gyarados points its tail at the group and waves it around in circles, creating a whirlpool. They get caught in the whirlpool and they go flying. Meowth, Agumon, and the other Digimon watched as they come falling into the lake, screaming.
They all got back to the shore as they took off their air masks.
"What happened down there? You were gone for less than ten minutes and then we see you flying like some stunt performers," Meowth said.
"We had a run-in with a Gyarados down there. And something else," Sora said.
"Something else?" Gatomon asked.
"Yeah, it was a Seadramon. And he attacked us with that Gyarados," Gomamon said.
"Mira, you knew about taht Gyarados and that other one, didn't you?" Aqua asked.
"Gyarados, yes. That other thing is a new one for me. But if I had told you about it, you wouldn't have come with me," Mira said.
"So, what else?" Terra asked. Mira looked at Terra with a serious look on his face. "It's time for you to tell us what else you've been hiding."
"What do you mean, Terra?" Ventus asked.
"Yeah, fill us in," Meowth said.
"You brought us here like you knew the place like you knew the back of your hand. And that was right where that Gyarados was hanging out. It was like you were looking for something else down there. It was no accident. The thing is, you've already narrowed your search to such a small area, I don't understand what you need us for," Teera said. Mira knew the cat was out of the bag, so she knew she had to come forward.
"You're right and I'm sorry. I made up the pendant story," Mira admitted.
"Why did you do that for?" Sora asked.
"You know the building we found Gyarados in? That's the school I used to go to. When I was there, I had two best friends in the whole wide world. We played together all the time. On the playground, on the gym, and everywhere. One day, we found a Pokéball, and there was a Pokémon already inside it. We decided right away it was going to all three of us, and we all raised it. See, we were all working hard to become Pokémon trainers. So we took turns bringing it to each of our houses and taking care of it. But one day, some people we didn't know said they were building a dam that would put our town underwater. We all had to move away and my friends went to a different town," Mira explained.
"Too bad," Ventus said, feeling sorry for Mira said.
"What happened to the Pokéball you were taking care of?" Kairi asked.
"Not sure. I even called up my friends who moved away, and they had no idea either," Mira said.
"Well, it has to be somewhere," Riku said.
"Eevee," Eevee agreed.
"Thing is, I really think I do know. The three of us had a secret hiding place. I can't tell you how many times I tried to go back down there with Abra. But we can never get past you-know-who," Mira said.
"Should I take a guess?" Sora asked.
"That nasty Gyarados always chases us away! We've tried to fight back before, but Abra's water battling skills aren't so good. And like I said, that other creature is new to me because it wasn't there when Abra and I tried to get the Pokéball out," Mira said.
"Now at least I can understand why you wanted us to help you," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"Why didn't you just tell us the truth from the very start?" Sora asked.
"I couldn't. Here I am working to be a Pokémon trainer, and at the same time I've totally neglected the Pokémon I loved and took care of for such a long time," Mira said.
"I guess it would be pretty hard to admit that," RIku said.
"Eevee," Eevee said.
"So what kind of Pokémon is inside that Pokéball, anyway?" Naminé asked.
"Sandshrew," Mira answered.
"A Sandshrew?" The group all asked.
"Yeah. The Sandshrew living here are Ground Type Pokémon, so they're weak against water, so I'm worried about it," Mira said.
"Kantonian Sandshrew are. Alolan Sanshrew are Ice Types and Steel Types," Riku said.
"But as long as Sandshrew stays in its Pokéball, it'll be just fine," Terra said.
"Then, well have to go back out there and save Sandshrew," Sora proposed.
"Yeah!" Everyone all sad at once.
"And battling in the water will be good training for Manaphy, Phione. And for Prinplup and Buizel," Kairi said. The Water Types all agreed.
"And don't worry about Seadramon, because I'll take care of him," Gomamon said.
"Thanks so much! That's awesome!" Mira said.
"Since Gomamon will be taking care of Seadramon, that just leaves us Gyarados. We'll need a good strategy to deal with him," Kairi said.
"Then, let's get to it," Terra said. They were getting a plan into motion. After a few minutes of planning, Gomamon dove in the water to take care of Seadramon. Gomamon started to Digivolve to fight Seadramon.
"Gomamon Digivolve to... Ikkakumon!" Ikkakumon dove in the water to fight Seadramon as Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Mira, Pikachu, Eevee, Angel, and Azurill went to the school. Ikkakumon swam in the water to search for Seadramon. "Come on out, you overgrown water snake!" Seadramon swam right towards Ikakkumon to deal with him.
"Ice Arrow!" Seadramon shouted as he fires an ice breath at him. Ikkakkumon got hit by the ice attack.
Over to Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Mira, Pikachu, Eevee, Angel, and Azurill, they made it back to the school and Gyarados comes back out to scare them away.
"Go!" Sora and Kairi ordered. Prinplup, Buizel, Manaphy, and Phione swam to deal with the atrocious Pokémon. Gyarados fires Hyper Beam right at them. Buizel lands an Aqua Jet onto Gyarados.
"Manaphy, Phione! Bubble Beam!' Kairi ordered. Manaphy and Phione fired Bubble Beam and Gyarados, bats the bubbles with his tail.
"Buizel! Sonic Boom!" Sora ordered. Buizel sends out Sonic Boom right at the atrocious Pokémon and the attack struck him hard.
Gyarados chased them right into the surface. Once Gyarados has jumped right out, Lucario has waited long enough, so he unleashed Dragon Pulse right at Gyarados and it deals heavy damage.
Back underwater, Ikkakumon and Seadramon were still duking it out. Seadramon wrapped his body around Iakkumon's body and puts a squeeze onto him.
"I'm putting the big squeeze onto you, Ikkakumon! Say goodbye!" Seadramon said. Ikkakumon gave Seadramon a bite on his serpent-like body, causing Seadramon to loosing his grip.
"I don't think so!" Ikkakumon said. "Harpoon Torpedo!" Ikkakumon fires his missles and they all come right towards the sea serpent Digimon and explodes when it makes contact. Seadramon was down, but not out.
"You're going to pay for that, you walking fur coat!" Seadramon threatened.
"I do! Icicle Coat!" Ikkakumon shouted as he fires icicles from his mouth and froze Seadramon solid. "Harpoon Torpedo! Ikkakumon fires his missles right at Seadramon and explodes as they make contact again. A dark aura came out of his body as Seadramon floats to the surface. Seadramon reverts into a small green amphibious Digimon with a red-orange fin on his head. He has blue stripes on his back, three on each side. He also has clawed-feet. Ikkakumon reverts back to Gomamon when it was done. Gomamon swam up to the Digimon. "You okay, Betamon?" Betamon opened his eyes.
"Where am I?" Betamon asked.
"We'll have lots to explain when we get to shore," Gomamon said.
Back underwater, the plan worked perfectly as Riku's Lucario had launched his attack onto Gyarados. They swam throught he halls as Mira had led them to the place. She found the Pokéball and all swam back up to the surface.
"Mission accomplished," Sora said.
"Now we have Sandshrew back," Mira said, letting Sandshrew out of its Pokéball. "Sandshrew looked around. "Sandshre, it's me, Mira." Sandshrew was very happy to see Mira again after being so cooped up inside that Pokéball. "I'm sorry for leaving you. I went through all sorts of trouble to get you out. Can you forgive me?"
"Sandshrew," Sandshrew said. Everyone all looked over to Betamon as he bowed his head in forgiveness.
"I'm sorry for attacking you like that. I ha no idea what came over me," Betamon said.
"It's okay, Betamon. The important thing is no one else was hurt," Sora said.
"I'm glad, because I don't want to think about what would have happened if I did," Betamon said.
"It's okay. Just don't make a habit out of it," Ventus said.
"And since you helped me out, I'll take you to Hearthrome City for real," Mira said.
"That'll be great," Sora said.
With that settled, everyone changed back into their regular clothes as Mira had teleported everyone right to Hearthrome City.
"We're here!" Mira announced. "Promise! Hearthrome City!"
"Yes! A Gym battle and Contest is just around the corner for us!" Sora said.
"You said it, Sora!" Kairi added.
"And we got here a lot earlier thanks you, Mira," Terra said.
"Come on," Mira said with a blush. "I should be the one who should thank you. Good luck in your Gym battle and Contest."
"Thanks," Sora and Kairi both said.
They finally arrived to Hearthrome City. Now Kairi has her third Sinnoh Contest and Sora's third Gym battle coming up and they were ready than ever. How will things turn out for them? Just you wait and see.
