Hey guys thanks for the reviews and the support you give to this story. Sorry for the late post I was very busy for the past few weeks with work and all. We were send into the field so I didn't even have time to write something.

Anyway let's get going with the show.

Chapter 27

Previously

"Are we late"

"Yes but you are very lucky your boy didn't get disqualified. Now please get out of here so that we can get this over with" Genma said in an annoyed tone. Kakashi just laughed dismissively as he told Naruto to come with him.

"He stays too Kakashi. Because you saw it fit to come late you missed a lot of things so don't ask. Ask those in the stands will you" Genma said as he turned to the last three contestants. Kakashi just left after casting one last look at Naruto who didn't regard him in the slightest.

Now the final fight was about to begin and many people were looking forward to seeing what our favourite trickster will do this time. The Uchiha had lost a lot of fans because of his stunt and Gaara well he was Gaara so he was difficult to root for except for the Sand citizens. All three looked intently at each other as Genma announced the beginning of the last match.

Now

Kakashi appeared in the stands and quickly located his colleagues. They were seating with their students plus Sakura. He smiled as he walked up to them and eye smiled them. Well he didn't receive the welcome he was expecting. As soon as Kurenai spotted him she almost took off his man bits if it wasn't for Asuma who intervened.

"You have some nerve showing up here you pervert. You are passing your disgusting ideas to your student and he embarrassed us in front of two other villages. When I get my hands on you you will wish you were dead" Kurenai shouted as she struggled to get out of Asuma's grip. Asuma took a few shots to the face and nuts but he held strong. What a man.

Kakashi looked at her confused. He also noted the disapproving look he was getting from the others even Gai. Said man just looked away from him in disgust.

"Eh guys what's going on. I know that I read porn I mean mature literature in public but you were fine with it except for Kurenai of course" Kakashi asked.

"Kakashi I knew you were creepy but the ideas you gave your student are a whole new level of creepy. What he did to the Hyuuga is just so disturbing. Many people were asking if anyone has any bleach that can remove memories" Asuma said as he tried not to think of what happened to Neji.

"Kakashi you have been a worthy rival but I think our rivalry ends today. Your unyouthfulness is just too much for this noble green beast" Gai said. Now this got Kakashi a lot concerned. What the heck happened? The only student he had who was supposed to fight Neji was Naruto. Oh crap.

"I am afraid to ask but what did he do now" Kakashi asked dreading the answer.

"He shoved a wooden dildo up Neji's backside. And worse he has more in stock and he even threatened to do the same to the council people who changed the exam format. Plus he told everyone it was your idea" Asuma said.

Kakashi blanched as he imagined a grinning Naruto announcing that Kakashi told him to do what he was about to do and shove that thing in Neji's ass. Worse he was known to use a 1000 years of death on genin so even if he could deny what Naruto said people would still think he did it. This brat is ruining his already shitty reputation even further. When is he going to stop for goodness sake?

"Wait what do you mean the exam format changed?" This is one piece of information that intrigued him. He also wanted to know why Naruto was still doing in the arena and why he looked like what he did.

This time it was Ino who explained the events since the girl could talk. She was like a walking recap expert. Maybe Naruto should have used her as their recap personnel.

To say Kakashi was shocked was an understatement. Naruto beat Neji! He knew Naruto was strong but to be this strong to beat the Hyuuga genius without sustaining damage was a surprise. Worse he also outsmarted the Nara genius and defeated the wind mistress without any trouble.

To top it off he used some unknown jutsu and seals that were never seen before. Just how strong is Naruto. He is growing up in strength without his help and he was his freaking sensei. Boy Minato would have a field day with him when he croaks. Maybe after the exams he would find out what he is lacking and train him.

Back in the arena

Sasuke looked at his opponents after Genma explained to him the format of the match. He was greatly surprised that the dope made it this far. It also proved that the dope was stronger than he let on. But now that his sharingan has improved and possesses new stronger jutsu Naruto is nothing. But he was one question though.

"Hey dope why do you look like that?"

"This is my look. Well my new look anyway. From the first day of our team's formation I have been under a transformation which was empowered by seals. Have you ever wondered why I didn't look any different from our time together" Naruto said. No need to hide certain facts now.

Sasuke was surprised that he hadn't noticed this. Kakashi and Sakura were also surprised especially Kakashi who had activated his sharingan around Naruto but he didn't notice anything. So he had everyone fooled but why does he look two years older in just a short span of time?

"Enough talk lets fight. Mother is craving for your blood especially him" Gaara said in a maniacal voice his sand swirling around him as he pointed at Naruto. He looked even more blood thirsty than usual.

"Wait wait wait. Guys as you are still fresh while I have been fighting for a while now. So why don't you show everyone what you are made of. Look everyone is eager to see what you guys can do" Naruto said as he raised his hands in a surrendering manner.

To be honest he just wanted to buy a little time. He was almost out of chakra after all. And he also wanted to see what these guys can do especially Sasuke, he looked like he had improved so he ought to be entertaining.

Sasuke and Gaara seemed to have taken the bait because Gaara shot his sand at Sasuke who dodged at impressive speeds. Sasuke back paddled way from Gaara's attacks before he went on the offensive.

He sped at Gaara with speeds and movements reminding him of Lee. Said green spandex wearing boy was also surprised as well as his sensei when they saw Sasuke move like Lee. Sasuke was like a blur appearing and disappearing while dodging Gaara's attacks. Gaara was thinking that Sasuke's movements were like Lee's.

Sasuke then got in close for a strike but Gaara's sand blocked but Sasuke disappeared and came under Gaara's sand guarding his head before he kicked him in the chin raising up a bit. He followed up with another kick to the chest sending Gaara a few feet away before his sand came back to protect him.

Naruto had seen enough to gauge their strengths and weaknesses. For Gaara it's his sand. He relies too much on his sand while sacrificing other skills. His body is weak and he doesn't possess any physical speed and strength. Worse his sand is slow that Sasuke can even bypass it. All that's left is to bypass his sand amour to which Naruto has many techniques. Judging by Sasuke's active lightning affinity it seems Kakashi taught him something to bypass the armour.

For Sasuke its more or less the same as Gaara, he relies too much on his Sharingan. Take that away you take out most of his taijutsu and ninjutsu prowess. Next are his new moves. To start with he might have copied Lee through Kakashi but he can't maintain that speed for long he doesn't have the stamina for that. He also seems to not possess the sheer physical strength that Lee has so his punches are light. He won't be an issue for Naruto.

Up in the stands

Kakashi looked smug as he saw the surprised and excited looks from the audience. That little display Sasuke did captivate everyone who were now cheering for him. Gai and Lee looked speechless as Sasuke displayed the same moves as Lee. Since Sasuke was unconscious during Lee's match they came to the conclusion that Kakashi copied Lee's moves and made Sasuke copy them.

Why would he do that? That the most inconsiderate thing to do. Kakashi had his own style and yet he decided to teach his student Lee's taijutsu. Man talk about stingy. Gai and Lee didn't complain much but what Kakashi did was an act of betrayal to his and Gai's friendship.

"Wow sensei look at Sasuke go. He is amazing" said Sakura with Ino nodding both having stars in their eyes as they went fan girl mode.

"Well I had to train him hard to fight the crazy sand boy after all" Kakashi replied with an eye smile.

"But why didn't you teach him YOUR taijutsu style instead of Gai's. Since you modified yours to suit the sharingan wouldn't it be a perfect fit for Sasuke" Kurenai asked having noticed Gai's displeasure. Kakashi chose to ignore the question knowing that what he did was wrong. He will have to apologies to Gai later.

"What the hell is the idiot doing?" came a familiar voice that drew the Konoha team's eyes to D Naruto's family were they saw Naruto seating between Hinata and Haku hugging while a bigger than usual Shiro sat on Zabuza who was trying to murder Naruto AGAIN.

Everyone blinked as they looked at the Naruto in the arena and the one in the stands. All they could think of was, this Naruto was a clone. But when did he make a clone and send it there without them noticing it and which idiot was he referring to.

"Oh hey Naruto clone what are you doing here?" Kakashi asked as he tried to start a conversation. He had noticed the family Naruto was with to which he concluded was his brother's so he wanted to get close enough to find out something about them. Right now they looked normal even their chakra signatures which was odd because from what Naruto said they were super strong.

"Clone? Me? Sorry Kakashi but I am the real deal. I just arrived from my assignment. Man my clone rocks to clean out all those guys" Naruto said in his usual cheerful self. This shocked the Konoha team as they looked in the arena where the Naruto clone was busy chatting with Genma. That was a clone all along? It could make other clones, use other strong jutsu and fight this long without dispelling? That's a feat very few could claim and they were all Kage. Just how strong is this kid?

"Anyway Kakashi although I don't like how you steal other people's hard work and give it to your student I can't deny the results. Sasuke has improved but he is making a lot of mistakes" Naruto said.

"Ho and what mistakes might those be" Kakashi asked. He made sure that he taught Sasuke to the best of his ability. He can't see Sasuke's mistakes so what are they?

"The kid is talking about your boy being too flashy. He is moving all over the place while tiring himself out. Too much unnecessary movements and every little stamina. He might have the speed but not the endurance. That kind of endurance cannot be obtained from a month of training alone. Well unless you are the brat here" explained Zabuza who was still under Shiro.

Gai nodded at Zabuza's explanation. It is true that to many to achive such speeds the body needs to be accustomed to the strain. The Uchiha is moving around like he has the endurance for that. That was so foolish.

Meanwhile Naruto gave his girls each a kiss before heading to the arena while thinking about the assignment he had. It was so much fun to leave the ANBU speechless with the stunt he pulled. He had asked the Hokage to take a squad of ANBU to secure the perimeter around the village and set traps. Well that was what he said not what he wanted.

He wanted to let loose his assassination skills so what better way than to use it on willing volunteers who were trying to invade them. He ditched the squad, created a few clones and send them to various places where he could sense the enemy. Deploying The Kill Zone along with hiding his chakra and using a bunch of clones in the forest, he basically re-enacted what the 4th Hokage did but only cooler and much faster.

By the time the ANBU arrived it was already over and Naruto was heading back while recovering his chakra. He left them in a state of shock frozen as they looked at the carnage left after Naruto was done

In the Kage box

"Looks like the Uchiha improved a little" The Kazekage said as he took a cup of tea offered by the attendant. What he really wanted to see was how Sasuke would fare against Naruto who was still hiding his abilities. Naruto might have displayed little in his previous matches but against an Uchiha and Gaara he is sure to get serious. The boy was good at hiding his abilities especially after Orochimaru went through the effort of convincing that stupid council to change the exam format.

He took a sip of the tea before his eyes widened. "This is some very good tea Hokage-sama. I must say your hospitality is astounding"

The 3rd froze. Not again. Who is the target this time because he sure as hell doesn't want to end up like Danzo shitting all over the place. He just nodded and drank his tea hoping that Naruto didn't target him but Orochimaru. He was safe from the prank but it wasn't Naruto's prank anyway.

Back to the fight

While Sasuke and Gaara were busy fighting Naruto entered the arena and headed for where his clone and Genma were. His clone seeing him just smiled while Genma was confused.

"Hey boss you are back. You sure took your time" the clone exclaimed.

"Yah took longer than I expected. Hey proctor-san I am here to relieve my clone. Hope he entertained you" Naruto said as his clone dispelled. He smiled when he got his clone's memories. Well this is going to be one memorable exam that's for sure.

Genma meanwhile just shrugged his shoulders. He was already briefed on Naruto's mission but what he didn't expect was for the kid to go to the mission himself and send a clone to the exams. Well all is well that ends well and it was very entertaining.

Sasuke was trying to bypass Gaara's Sand amour with his fists but no luck. The amour was harder than he thought. Kunai wouldn't work either. Another problem was Gaara's sand was getting faster and faster adjusting to his speed. He had a few close calls so he wanted to end it fast. He made some distance between him and Gaara who was focusing more on Naruto than Him.

"Mother says you are not worth it. Get out of my way before I kill you" Gaara said as Shukaku's chakra started to sip into his system making his attacks more dangerous. This was the reason his sand was faster than usual.

"NO I am going to beat you then the dope. You are the one in my way" Sasuke said coolly ignoring the scary chakra coming from the crazy red head.

"Wow guys no need to fight over me. I am very much into girls thank you very much" Naruto said in a mocking tone earning him a wave of sand that came at him at great speeds. He dodged it quite easily by speeding away from it but he had to dodge a few fireballs from Sasuke who had his sharingan activated. Seems he was getting serious.

Naruto saw another wave of sand coming at him so he made a few familiar hand signs that surprised those who knew them. It didn't matter if Sasuke copied them.

"Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu" Naruto muttered as he fired the fireball at the incoming wave of sand. The two attacks collided with each other causing an explosion that scattered the sand and turned some into glass. It was a low powered fireball after all.

"You, how do you know that jutsu!" Sasuke shouted as he believed that jutsu was an Uchiha jutsu.

"Dude it's a pretty basic jutsu anyone with good chakra reserves can learn it" Naruto said as he dodged more sand coming from Gaara. Ignoring Sasuke, Naruto used the same speed Sasuke used together with his sensory abilities to dodge Gaara's sand. This surprised everyone who didn't know about Naruto's speed including Kakashi and Sasuke.

Naruto got close to Gaara and punched him in the chest launching Gaara 10 metres away. Gaara's eyes widened when he felt pain in his chest. His armour couldn't absorb the impact from Naruto's punch and it started forming cracks.

Sasuke looked so surprised. 'How are his punches making that much damage while mine can't even put a scratch on his armour' Sasuke ranted in his head. He had his sharingan activated so he saw everything. Naruto used the same speed and chakra movement as Sasuke did so what made the difference. Simple, pure physical strength and that's all to it.

Seeing that his armour was bypassed Gaara formed a cocoon of sand around himself before he started going through the procedure of 'Shukakufying?' himself. Sasuke thought this was a good chance to take Gaara down the focus on Naruto. He launches a few kunai at the cocoon but they just bounced harmlessly off the cocoon. Next he tried fire jutsu but they didn't have any effect. So he was forced to use his trump card.

Jumping back and landing on the stadium he started going through a number of hand seals that made Naruto raise a brow. He could feel Sasuke's lightning chakra being focused into his hand forming a ball of lightning. This technique surprised everyone who knew it including Orochimaru. What was on the minds of those who knew the technique was "How can a genin use a technique like that?"

Up in the stands

Gai had just finished explaining the technique to the genin who were amazed by Sasuke mastering such a technique. Gai tried to reprimand Kakashi but seeing that he too taught Lee the inner gates he couldn't say anything.

Back to the fight

Naruto listened closely to Gai's explanation and when Sasuke announced the name of the technique. All he did was snort. Lightning Blade really. More like Lightning Ball. And why the hell is it classified as an assassination jutsu if it's too flashy, too noisy and unique that anyone can identify that it was Kakashi that did it. That technique leaves some distinct wounds so its like saying "Yo Kakashi was here". Ninja of this era are so stupid.

Anyway Sasuke used the wall and the distance between him and Gaara to increase his speed. His speed was impressive and the technique's power could be seen from the small trench it dug as Sasuke speed towards Gaara.

When he was close sand spikes started to rise from the ground trying to impel him but with the help of his sharingan he was able to dodge them but just barely. Once he was close he thrust his hand with the technique forward intending to breach the cocoon. Well that was the plan.

What he didn't expect was for more sand spike to come at him even faster than before. With his sharingan he could see them coming but his body was too slow to react. This was certain death had he not found himself out of the spike's range with someone grabbing him by the helm of his T-shirt.

"You are stupid you know that right?" Naruto said as he let go of Sasuke who felt relieved and at the same time angry at being saved by the dope. And how did the dope do that anyway.

"If you have noticed there is more chakra in Gaara's system meaning he can make his sand faster. Secondly he formed a field around himself made of sand which is about twenty feet. He deliberately made his sand slower to lure you further into his kill box. Even if you escaped the frontal attack you weren't going to survive the onslaught. It was a trap all along and you fell for it" Naruto said as he monitored Gaara progress through his transformation which was almost complete. Looks like he would have to fight seriously.

Everyone especially Orochimaru sighed in relief. Their precious Uchiha was almost killed. What surprised them was the speed Naruto displayed. He disabled the sand behind Sasuke before grabbing the boy in an instant. Very few Jounin can match that sort of speed. Orochimaru just smiled. Looks like his assessment of the boy was spot on, he is way stronger than he let on.

In the stands

"Holy crap did you see that that was just insane" Asuma shouted after witnessing the boy's speed. It was very close to his top speed and the boy made using that speed easy. He looked at Kurenai who was gritting her teeth. Oh yah she is outclassed by a genin in terms of speed.

Gai was very impressed by the boy's speed. Now that is very youthful. Maybe he could be the pefect rival for Lee that would be youthful.

"Oh hell NO" Naruto found himself shouting for no reason at all. He had felt a chill down his spine which prompted him to shout that. Sasuke looked at him like he was crazy.

Kakashi on the other hand was in a state of shock. How is Naruto this fast? Was he holding back that much? The genin except for Lee didn't see anything at all.

Back to the fight

"Sasuke this is getting out of hand. If he comes out of his cocoon he would be stronger than before and in your current state you won't be able to fight him. So back off and let me deal with him" Naruto said.

He could have blasted that cocoon to kingdom come or sealed Gaara's chakra away but one he didn't want to kill him and two he wasn't sure what was going on with Gaara so sealing his chakra away may have negative effects.

The two looked at the cocoon which unravelled to reveal a very grotesque Gaara whose one side was covered in sand. He was more powerful and more bloodthirsty than usual. The power he was releasing put every veteran shinobi on high alert.

Orochimaru just sighed, this was not part of the plan. He signalled his hidden agent dressed like an ANBU to start the operation. His agent made a few hand signs and cast a genjustu that put civilians and genin to sleep, chunin and above were able to break it. Then the Kage box exploded and all hell broke loose.

There was fighting in the stands as the Sound and Sand Shinobi attacked the Konoha shinobi. The sand sibling came into the arena after seeing that Gaara's transformation was incomplete. They by some miracle convinced him to retreat until he was ready to destroy everything they ran off.

["Excuse me everyone"] came the voice of commentator Naruto from the speakers prompting the fighting to stop momentarily.

["It seems we are being invaded by a bunch of idiots. So to all Konoha shinobi I say this TAKE ASS AND KICK NAMES"] commentator Naruto shouted. Everyone sweat dropped.

["No you idiot it's KICK NAMES AND TAKES ASS"] Anko 'corrected' through the speaker prompting everyone to have an even bigger sweat drop.

"It's Kick ass and take names you idiots" Genma corrected them.

["Yah what he said. Now carry on please"] said commentator Naruto before he and Anko joined the fray.

The chaos then continued. Genma seeing that Gaara and the sand siblings were getting away thought about sending Sasuke and Naruto after him but the sand dude was crazy powerful so it was a bad idea. He was about to tell the two boys to go help the other genin but he found both gone. Sasuke went after the sand siblings while Naruto went somewhere.

In the stands

The Konoha shinobi were fighting to protect their students and civilians and were holding their own quite well. Sakura who managed to dispel the genjutsu was tasked with the job of waking the other genin up. They were to form a team and help the civilians evacuate but not before Kakashi instructed Sakura and Shikamaru to go after Sasuke. All that was left was to get Naruto as back up for those two. He looked towards Naruto's family and he sweat dropped.

They were just seating there discussing something among themselves while everywhere there was fighting. It was like they were not even concerned. What's worse was everyone was avoiding them. What the hell is that purple haired creepy smiling woman doing to make everyone avoid them.

As for Naruto well he decided to go and see what Orochimaru was up to. His brother gave him a tip to throw Orochimaru's plan in the water so yah he was going to mess the pedo's plan.

He arrived on the roof to see a purple barrier being erected. The ANBU couldn't get in so they were helplessly waiting outside as the 3rd fought the snake. To be honest the old man was impressive to hold his own in his old age. For now he decided to study the barrier.

It looks like it relies on 4 people of jounin level to activate and sustain it. Furthermore the barrier can burn anyone that comes in contact with it. He knew what the barrier was immediately and he also came up with ways of countering it. He saw a foolish ANBU about to charge in.

"Don't touch the barrier or you will die a very horrible death" Naruto said making his presence known.

"But we need to help the Hokage" said the ANBU.

"You can't right now so seat tight. And why the hell are there no barrier experts in the ANBU?" all the ANBU looked away. It was a valid question. They specialise in a lot of areas but they never thought to include sealing and barrier studies into their skill set. Well this sucks.

"Hahaha you suckers can suck it. This is the strongest barrier made by the Sound 4" shouted a red head from inside the barrier. Naruto rose a brow as he noticed the sound 4 all were using the cursed seal to boost their power. The red head looked like an Uzumaki but he was not sure with how her chakra was tainted. Well not that it matters, if she is an Uzumaki then she is a disgrace with what she is doing.

"You really are proud of this barrier aren't you? Well let me tell you something, it takes the 4 of you to raise this low level barrier but it just takes me along with my clones to erect a more advanced barrier. Plus there are a lot of ways to breach that barrier" Naruto said taking away the smugness from the girl. The ANBU were also surprised. If he knows of a way to get rid of the barrier the why didn't he do it?

"Why didn't you breach the barrier yet?"

"Well it's serving its purpose. They think it's to keep us out but it's keeping them in. As long as the barrier is activated HE can't get out" Naruto explained but not fully. He intended to use the barrier to his advantage.

He went back to watching the fight in time to see Orochimaru summoning summon 4 coffins. He looked smug and the 3rd looked shocked. The 3rd was about to stop the last two but Naruto stopped him.

"Oi old man let him. I want to see what's inside" Naruto shouted momentarily distracting the old man and Orochimaru successfully summoning all 4 coffins. The 3rd cursed for being distracted. He watched in shock as the 1st, 2nd, 4th and freaking Kushina Uzumaki stepped out of the coffins. This send the 3rd in a panic and Jiraiya finally came out of hiding.

Naruto seeing the last two only had one thought "Oh crap"

And done

It took longer than I expected. Next chapter we will see Naruto vs Shukaku and we will see more of his shenanigans with the reanimated beings.
