Episode 350: Clash of the Titan Bugs
A few days had passed when they met Lillie, Elio, Selene, and Gardenia again, and some DIgimon that weren't interested in fighting at all. They were so glad they met Digimon that weren't causing trouble for a change and, and te fact they got to see their old friends again.
Buzzing above in the sky were a gang of Kuwagamon and a Snimon. They were searching for Agumon's squad in the Restiance and they found them.
"There they are! We found them!" One Kuwagamon said.
""We attack them!" Another Kuwagamon said.
"No. We report to Okuwamon first," Snimon retorted. The inest DIigmon flew back to report to their leader.
Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, and the Digimon kept on going to Veilstone City when they entered a bakery for some cake.
"Yummy-yummy cake!" Tentomon said. He ate his piece in one gulp.
"Very yummy," Armadillomon added.
"Glad you're enjoying it, guys," Sora said.
"Hey there, guys," a familiar voice spoke. They turned to tsee that it was Dawn.
"Dawn, hi. How's it going?" Ventus asked.
"I'm doing good. Taking part of the Hearthrome Tag Battle Tournament did help me out a bit een though I didn't win it. And neither did Lucas," Dawn said.
"Well, we're glad you're doing okay after what happened in the Contest, Dawn," Kairi said.
"Thanks. I hope I make it in the next one," Dawn said.
"Me too, Dee-Dee," another fmiliar voice spoke. Everyone all turned to see Kenny behind them.
"Kenny?" Everyone all asked.
"I told you not to call me Dee-Dee!" Dawn snapped.
"Hi guys. It's been a while," Kenny greeted.
"You too, Kenny," Kairi said.
"I heard that you won the Hearthrome Contest. That makes three, right?" Kenny asked.
"Yeah it does," Kairi said. How many Ribbons do you have now?"
"I have two so far. Made a pretty big bounce after the last time," Kenny said, showing them her Ribbons.
"Cool," Ventus said.
"Hey, Sora, you should have three Gym Badges by now, right?" Kenny asked.
"I do," Sora said, showing him his three Gym Badges.
"Sweet," Kenny said. "Say, we didn't get to finish our battle from the last time, so I was wondering if we caould pick up where we last left off before we were interuppted," Kenny said.
"Sure thing. I could use some practice before my next Gym battle," Sora said. He didn't forget about the Flybeemon launching their attack and interruppting their battle. It was a good thing Wormmon Digivolved into Stingmon and stopped him.
Over to the Kuwagamon and Snimon, they flew to their hiding place to find a much large version of Kuwagamon, but it's gray and has dark red markings on its body. It has two pairs of wings on its back and has four arms and four legs. It also has black hair on the back of its head.
"Okuwamon, we found Aqumon's unit of the Resistance," Snimon spoke.
"Where are they?" Okuwamon asked.
"Not too far away. We can lead you there," Snimon said.
"Good. Lord Myotismon will reward me greatly for this. Lead the way," Okuwamon ordered. Snimon and the Kuwagamon led Okuwamon to deal with the Resistance. He laughs as he flew. "I'll deal with the Resistance like they were ripe grapes."
Over to the group, Lucas was walking through the woods when he saw them.
"Sora!" Lucas called out. He turned to see him with a smile on his face.
"Hey, Lucas!" Sora greeted. Kenny wasn't surprised to see Lucas again, but he wasn't happy to know that Dawn is eyeing Lucas and not him. "You're just in time."
"For what?" Lucas asked.
"They're aout to have themselves a Pokémon battle," Ventus said.
"Well, then I'm glad I came," Lucas said.
"Hey, Sora, how about we make it the same as the last time?" Kenny suggested.
"Fine with me," Sora said. He turned to his partner. "You up, Pikachu?"
"Pikachu," Pikachu nodded and went in to battle. Kenny took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Prinplup!" Kenny called out as he threw it. His Prinplup came out to battle against Pikachu.
"Here we go again," Meowth said.
"You can make the first move, Sora," Kenny offered.
"Thanks. Pikachu! Quick Attack!" Sora ordered. Pikachu charges towards the penguin Pokémon.
"Metal Claw!" Kenny ordered. Prinplup came running towards the mouse Pokémon. Prinplup swiped his flippers at him, but he dodged and lands a hit onto him. "I'm surprised you didn't have your Pikachu use Thunderbolt like the last time."
"You think I'm going to walk in the same trap again? You got another thing coming," Sora said.
"It would be pretty dumb of me to think you were the kind of guy who would make the same mistake twice in a row," Kenny agreed. "But it won't stop me from winning. Prinplup! Aqua Jet!" Prinplup dashed towards Pikachu with his body surrounded by water.
"Pikachu! Volt Tackle!" Sora ordered. Pikachu charges right towards Prinplup with his body surrounded by electricity. They both collide with each other and they do a stance. Both have taken a blow from each other.
"That was an awesome move, Sora. You raised your Pikachu well if you taught it a super-cool move like Volt Tackle," Kenny said.
"Thanks, Kenny. Wanna keep going?" Sora asked.
"Sure do. Prinplup! Bubble Beam!" Kenny ordered. Prinplup fires Bubble Beam to strike Pikachu.
"Dodge it!" Sora called out. Pikachu dodges Bubble Beam with his speed attack.
"You're not getting away that easily! Prinplup! Keep firing Bubble Beam!" Kenny ordered. Prinplup kept firing Bubble Beam and it eventually struck Pikachu hard hard.
"That was a very good hit on Kenny's part," Dawn said.
"It sure was. Kenny must have done some special training to deal with Pikachu again," Terra said.
"Sora isn't the only one who want s to be ready for anything," Lucas said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"Prinplup! Keep firing Bubble Beam!" Kenny ordered. Prinplup kept up with Bubble Beam. Sora had to take adavantage of the attacking penguin Pokémon's vulnerability while firing Bubble Beam. He hoped that it'll work.
"Pikachu! Thunderbolt!" Sora called out. Pikachu fires Thunderbolt right at Prinplup. Before Kenny could tell him to use Metal Claw, Prinplup got hit hard by the Elctric Type attack.
"Sora is even better than I remember. And he took his time to fire Thunderbolt and hit when Metal Claw wasn't in use. Clever," Kenny said in his thoughts.
"How was that?" Sora asked.
"That was awesome, Sora. Get ready for this. Aqua Jet!" Kenny ordered.
"Volt Tackle!" Sora ordered.
Both of the mouse and penguin Pokémon charged towards each other and they were ready to land a finishing blow onto them. Just when it was about to wrap up, a blade of purple energy struck the ground, stopping the battle. Everyone watching were caught off gaurd by the attack launched by an unknown source.
"What the?!" Sora and Kenny both exclaimed.
Just then, Snimon and the Kuwagamon both came down to the ground.
"Not again," Ventus groaned.
"What are they?" Kenny asked. Sora took out his Digidex to ID the Digimon.
"Those red ones I seen before. Those are Kuwagamon. They're stag bettle Digimon and they're versy hostile. They can tear their prey apart with those mandibles," Sora said. He looked up Snimon with his DIgidex. "And that one is Snimon. It says he's a praying mantis Digimon with sickle-like arms. They're both Champion level Digimon."
"You think you can take out one of our own and get away with it? You might as well just think again!" Snimon said.
"What did that bug mean by one of their own?" Kenny asked.
"I think I know," Sora said. He remembered what happened in the Eterna Honey when they were helping Cheryl ook for the Enchanted Honey. A Kuwagamon was leading a bunch of Kunemon and DoKunemon taking over the Amber Castle. And that was when Tentomon Digivolved to Kabuterimon to destroy him. "That one Kuwagamon from the Eterna Forest. They want revenge for what happened to him."
"Yes. Especially on the one Digimon that did the deed to him," a anohter voice spoke. They all turned to see it was Devimon. He chuckles as he appeared before them.
"Devimon!" Sora spat. The evil Digimon laughs again. "What do you want now?"
"It's not what I want. It's what they want. The Kuwagamon want to have their revenge on the Digimon who destroyed their brother. And I am referring to him," Devimon said, pointing at Tentomon.
"Oh no," Tentomon said.
"Oh yes. Their leader will take the pleasure of crushing him like the bug that he is," Devimon said. He disappears, leaving the group to deal with them. Just then, Okuwamon appeared before the group. They all look and saw the larger stag beetle Digimon.
"Another bug!" Meowth gasped. Ventus took out his Digidex and used it to look up Okuwamon.
"It says, his name is Okuwamon. Okuwamon is the Ultimate form of Kuwagamon. Man, he is like Kuwagamon, but he makes Kuwagamon look like a worm, especially when he rips his opponents in half with his Double Scissor Claw," Ventus said.
"There's always a bigger and badder bug," Meowth said.
"We should deal with him now!" Gabumon said.
"Rght," other Digimon agreed. One by one, the Digimon, except for Gatomon all started to Digivolve.
"Agumon Digivolve to... Greymon!"
"Gabumon Digivolve to... Garurumon!"
"Biyomon DIgivolve to... "Birdramon!"
"Tentomon Digivolve to... Kabuterimon!"
"Palmon Digivolve to... Togemon!"
"Gomamon Digivolve to... Ikkakumon!"
"Patamon Digivolve to... Angemon!"
"Veemon Digivolve to.. Veedramon!"
"Hawkmon Digivolve to... Aquilamon!"
"Armadillomon Digivolve to... Ankylomon!
"Wormmon Digivolve to... Stingmon!"
"You guys take care of the others, Okuwamon's mine!" Kabuterimon said.
"Kabuterimon, don't be ridiculous. You can't fight Okuwamon all by yourself!" Greymon said.
"Greymon's right. Okuwamon will destroy you!" Angemon said.
"I don't care. He wants me and I'm going to give him exactly what he wants. And besides, Kabuterimon and Kuwagamon hae been rivals since the dawn of history. And I will not disgrace my ancestors by running away!" Kabuterimon said.
"You're either very brave or very foolish. You know you won't survive a fight against me. But, like you I won't disgrace my ancestors eihter! If you want to die that badly, then I'll be more than happy to oblige you!" Okuwamon said. Kabuterimon flew to fight the large beetle Digimon, but Okuwamon smacks him down like it was nothing. Kabuterimon gets back up on his feet.
The other Digimon were dealing with Snimon and the Kuwagamon.
"Twin Sickle!" Snimon shouted as he sends out his blades of energy to strike Birdramon and Aquilamon. "Kuwagamon! Attack!" The Kuwagamon flew right at the other Digimon. Two of them grabbed Greymon, making it harder for him to move. They did the same to the others. Gatomon was still loose.
"Get away from him!" Gatomon shouted. "Lightning Paw!" Gatomon shouted as she gave the Kuwagamon, holding his tail a punch. "Lighrning Kick!" She gave the holding his head a kick on the face. Both Kuwagamon lets go of him.
"Thanks a lot, Gatomon," Greymon said.
"Anytime," Gatomon said. "But we shouldn't be patting ourselves on the back."
"Agreed," Gatomon said.
Kabuterimon kept on fighting Okuwamon, but like Greymon said, he didn't stand a chance. Kabuterimon refused to give up.
"Word of advice. Stay down if you know what's good for you," Okuwamon said.
"I won't give up! You can knock me down as much as you want, but I won't quit! Sora never quits, Leomon never quits, Kairi never quits... AND I WON'T QUIT!" Kabuterimon proclaimed. "Electro Shocker!" He fires right at Okuwamon, but it does nothing to bring him down.
"I'll crush that pathetic spirit of yours! Double Scissor Claw!" Okuwamon shouted as he swiped his claws at Kabuterimon and he reverts back to Tentomon after he lost the fight.
"I lost," Tentomon groaned.
Okuwamon flew to the other Digimon and started with Togemon.
"Put me down!" Togemon ordered. Okuwamon threw her and she reverts back to Palmon. Birdramon and Aquilamon headed for Okuwamon.
Birdramon, "Meteor Wing!"
Aquilamon, "Grand Horn!"
Birdramon flaps as fireballs rained down on him as Aquilamon rammed into Okuwamon. He didn't even flinch.
"Double Sciccor Claw!" Okuwamon shouted as he batted the two bird Digimon and they revert back to their Rookie forms. He took down all the others as well.
"Okuwamon is way too stong for us," Agumon said.
"No way," Terra said.
"Now what?" Meowth asked.
"Retreat for now," Agumon said.
They ran into the woods to avoid him.
"You think you can run away from me? There isn't a place you can go where I can't find you. Spread out and find them!" Okuwamon ordered. Snimon and the Kuwagamon few in the woods to find them.
Once the group were far enough, they knew it was only a matter of time before Okuamon could find them again. The Digimon were feeling discouraged about losing, especially Tentomon.
"We are so lucky to get away in one piece," Lucas said.
"We sure were. Those bugs have it bad for you guys," Kenny pointed out.
"Well, he did take out one theirs. The rivalry between the Kabuterimon and Kuwagamon is a feirce rivalry," Gatomon said.
"Really? You mean like between Zangoose and Seviper?" Ventus asked.
"Yes," Gatomon anwered.
"Why does Kuwagamon hate Kabuterimon that much?" Kairi asked.
"No one really knows. It's a story that has no beginning and no end. But the Kuwagamon believes that they're superior to the Kabuterimon in every way. If one takes out the other, they can detect it and they'll stop at nothing to get their revenge on the one who wiped them out. And so on," Gatomon said.
"How do they detect it?" Sora asked.
"That's something else that no one knows," Gatomon replied.
"I think we should keep moving. It will only be a matter of time before they find us again," Aqua said.
"She's right. We'll be sitting ducks if we sit around," Palmon said.
"We'll have to try again," Tentomon said.
"You were lucky to walk. Even if you can Digivolve again, The results will only be the same again," Kairi said.
"The least I can do is try. I need you to have faith in me. Faith is the one thing I can do to win against Okuwamon and regain my honor," Tentomon said.
"Then, you're going to need lots of energy," Meowth said. Everyone looked right at the scratch cat Pokémon confused.
"Why do you say that, Meowth?" Sora asked.
"Because the answer is literally in front of us," Meowth said, pointing a tree filled with white apples.
"White apples? Now way that's possible," Sora said.
"Are they safe to eat?" Dawn asked.
"Pika," Pikachu said, heading for the tree. He climbed right up it and took a bite of the white apple. It tasted like an ordinary apple, but it was even sweeter. "Pikachu! Pika!" Pikachu gave a thumbs up, confirming that it's safe to eat. With that said, all of the DIgimon went to the tree and ate the white apples. Tentomon felt his fighting spirit build up. It affected all the Digimon as well.
"I feel my strength coming back," Tentomon said.
"Mine too," Armadillomon said.
"We can take them on now," Veemon said.
"That's great and all, but we still have Okuwamon to worry about. He's way too strong for everyone of you," Kenny pointed out.
"I know. But I won't give up," Tentomon said.
"And we have faith in you," Sora said.
"Now, we just have to make ourselves easier to find," Ventus said.
"Right," everyone all said. Unknown to them, a mysterious figure was standing in the woods, watching them from anohter tree. The figure wore a white cloak, shrouding the face.
"May the light protect you," the figure spoke with a compassionate feminine voice.
Okuwamon, Snimon, and the Kuwagamon were searching for Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, and the Digimon to finish them off as Kabuterimon, Angemon, Birdramon, Aquilamon, and Stingmon all flew towards them.
Angemon, "Hand of Fate!"
Aquilamon, "Blast Rings!"
Angemon and Aquilamon fires at the Kuwagamon and they take out two of them.
"There they are!" Snimon said.
"I can see that! Get them!" Okuwamon ordered. Snimon and what's left of the Kuwagamon flew right towards the flyers. Kabuterimon flew right towards Okuwamon.
"Here I come! Big Horn!" Kabuterimon shouted as he rammed into Okuwamon.
Down below, the group watched on as their plan was going smoothly.
"Those white apples worked beautifully," Aqua said.
"Now, we just have to do is join the party," Gomamon said.
"Go for it!" Sora said. The ground bound Digimon started to Digivolve again.
"Agumon Digivolve to... Greymon!"
"Veemon Digivolve to... Veedramon!"
"Gabumon Digivolve to... Garurumon!"
"Palmon Digivolve to... Togemon!"
"Gomamon Digivolve to... Ikkakumon!"
"Armadillomon Digivolve to... Ankylomon!"
Gatomon jumped on Garurumon's back and leapt into the air to take them down.
Kabuterimon kept fighting Okuwamon.
"Electro Shocker!" Kabuterimon shouted as he fires his electric attack at Okuwamon. It did some more damage than the last time.
"Where did this extra power come from? There's no way he could get this much stronger. He may have more strength now, but he's still no match for me! Double Scissor Claw!" Okuwamon shouted as he swpes at Kabuterimon onto the ground. "Did you think you can take me down that easily, you little vermin? Don't make me laugh!" Kabuterimon got back up and his body gave off a purple glow.
"I won't give up! I lost to you the last time and I won't be lose to you again! I won't!" Kabuterimon stated as he flew right towards Okuwamon. "Big Horn!" Kabuterimon rams into Okuwamon again, but Okuwamon grabs Kabuterimon and slams him down on the ground. He then holds him in his claw.
"Looks like your little power boost has let you down. I am more superior to you and any Kabuterimon that comes my way!" Okuwamon stated.
"Why would you side with Myotismon? What do you gain out of it by siding with him? What kind of promise did he make you to join in cause?" Kabuterimon asked.
"That should be simple. Myotimson plans to rid the Digital World of your kind once and for all. We will show DIgimon everywhere that the Kuwagamon clan is more superior t the Kabuterimon clan in every way! Myotismon has made us that promise and for that, we follow him without question!" Okuwamon stated. "You are finished!"
"No! I won't let it happen!" Kabuterimon said.
"Kabuterimon!" Sora called out to him.
"Pika!" Pikachu added.
Kabuterimon heard Sora's voice getting to him and he started to glow even brighter than before. This surprises Okuwamon greatly.
"WHAT?!" Okuwamon exclaimed. Okuwamon let's go of Kabuterimon as he started to Digivolve.
"Kabuterimon Digivolve to-" Kabuterimon began to transformed. He turned into a bipedal Digimon with four arms. His head is eyeless and has a skull helmet with a large horn that forks at the tip. His shell consists of fused elytra with a green crystal ball at the base. He is red in coloration with blue hands and feet. His torso and pelvis are skeletal in appearance. He has a blue stinger on his pelvis. "MegaKabuterimon!" Everyone were astounded by Kabuterimon's Digivolution.
"Kabuterimon got bigger," Lucas said.
"He Digivolved into the Ultimate level," Sora said. Kairi took out her Digidex to look up the Ultimate level Digimon.
"MegaKabuterimon. He makes good work of his strength with his Horn Buster attack," Kairi said.
"So awesome," Kenny said.
"Get them!" Snimon ordered. Snimon and the Kuwagamon charged towards them. Greymon then started to Digivolve as well.
"Greymon Digivolve to... MetalGreymon!" MetalGreymon stood in front of the insect Digimon and they backed away form the cyborg dinosaur Digimon.
"Uh-oh," Snimon said.
"Get ready to be fried to a crisp! Powerful Flame!" MetalGreymon shouted as he unleashed a flame attack and engulfs them into flames. Snimon and the Kuwagamon all dissolve into bits of data.
MegaKabuterimon and Okuwamon duked it out as they rammed into each other.
"Double Scissor Claw!" Okuwamon shoted as he swings his claws at him.
"Rhino charge!" MegaKabuterimon shouted as he rammed into Okuwamon with his strength. Okuwamon lost his balance in the sky for the moment before he regained it.
"Is that all you got, MegaKabuterimon? After I get done with you, Ill finish off your friends, starting with those humans down there!" Okuwamon said. MegaKabuterimon came at Okuwamon again.
"Don't you dare touch them! If you do, then I'll rip you apart, one limb at a time!" MegaKabuterimon said. He gave him several punches on the gut and in the face. MegaKabuterimon bashed him with his horn. "I won't let you near any of my friends! I'll stop you before you I let you near them! You hear me?!" MegaKabuterimon gave Okuwamon more punches and he fell to the grounf.
"No, this cannot be happening!" Okuwamon stated.
"But it is, Okuwamon! Now, to put an end to this fight once and for all! Horn Buster!" MegaKabuterimon shouted as he fires an orange purple from his horn and it gave Okuwamon a stab. Okuwamon screams in pain as he is dissolving into bits of data.
"You may have won the battle, MegaKabuterimon. But the war still rages on. Someone of the Kuwagamon clan will find you again and they will avenge me," Okuwamon said.
"Good luck," MegaKabuterimon said as Okuwamon has completely dissolved. Kabuterimon reverts back to Tentomon and he fell on the ground out of exhaustion. "What a rush."
"Tentomon, you were awesome," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"It looks like you avenged your honor," Terra said.
"I did, but Okuwamon was right about one thing. I won the battle, but the war between the Kabuterimon and Kuwagamon continues on," Tentomon said.
In the Digital World, Myotismon is playing his pipe organ as it gave off powerful music. The sound of the music belows all though the castle. Just then, a Bakemon appeared before him.
"Lord Myotismon," the Bakemon spoke.
"What is is it?" Myotismon asked as he stopped playing.
"I have just received word from Devimon that Okuwamon has failed to defeat Agumon's squad in the Resistance and their human alleys," Bakemon said.
"Is that so? I don't doubt it was the Tentoon who has done the deed by Digivolving into his Ultimate form. Okuwamon's demise could have been caused by the violent history between the Kabuterimon and Kuwagamon clans," Myotismon said. "How goes the war?"
"Bulbmon is making good work in the dersert. Ever since the failed attack due to Etemon's unexpected success, despite his failure to capture them. We interrogated the Falcomon, but they refused to tell us the location of the Resistance base," Bakemon said.
"I see. Find ways to loosen their tongues. And if they refused to talk, eliminate them," Myotismon ordered.
"As your command, master," Bakemon said, taking his leave. Myotismon grinned as he resumes playing his pipe organ.
"I doubt those birds will easily reveal their location to us, but no matter. If they would rather die than betray their pathetic cause, then so be it. Wouldn't you agree, Duskmon?" Myotismon asked. Duskmon appeared from out of the shadows.
"I do, my lord," Duskmon said.
"And the boy, Paul? Have you checked his progress?" Myotismon asked.
"Yes, my lord. His aggression is showing us excellent promise. Any Pokémon he captured is feeling the influence of the seed of darkness you planted in him," Duskmon reported.
"Excellent. This is working better than I expected," Myotismon said.
Back in the Sinnoh region, Sora and Kenny stood before each other.
"Should we put our battle on hold again?" Sora asked.
"We might as well. Prinplup is in no shape to keep going after that attack," Kenny said.
"It's cool," Sora understood. "Maybe, another time."
"That's a promise," Kenny said.
That's another battle on hold due to an unexpected attack from Okuwamon and his foloowers. But who knows what will happen next?
