I've noticed that no one ever really writes Pan/Goten fluff, at least not so much that it's not some kind of hot commodity. So here you go, my take on Uncle G and Panny, with Gohan thrown in for extra measure.

Goten: 13

Pan: 7-8 months

Gohan: 24

The youngest son of Goku sat on the back stoop of his home, muttering under his breath as he eyed the evil villain that was the math homework his mother had assigned for him to do. If he didn't finish it, he wouldn't be able to go over to Trunks' house and play video games, but trying to solve the equations only served to make his brain throb. He just wasn't good at this stuff like Gohan was.

Across the yard or, technically, in Gohan and Videl's backyard, a weary 24 year-old Videl Satan-Son was fighting exhaustion to keep her precious baby girl entertained as the two of them sat out on a blanket in the yard. She'd been up for most of the morning and afternoon with the hyper quarter saiyan, and now she wished her husband would return so she could rest and restore her energy. Pan babbled adorably and waved her fluffy brown tail about as she clung to her mother's thigh with one hand, reaching out to snag the necklace around her neck with the other.

Videl reclined against the thick trunk of a peach tree and hid a yawn with a laugh as she pulled the necklace out of Pan's reach and tucked it down the front of her shirt. Pan's wide brown eyes peered up at her inquisitively, and then the infant rolled onto her back and grasped her tiny socked feet with both hands, giggling wildly. Her mother rolled her eyes and reached out to tickle the little one's tummy gently.

Goten looked up at the sound of giggling and rolled his eyes at the sight of his new niece and his sister in-law under the shade of a peach tree, enjoying the warm day. I'd better hurry and finish these problems before Trunks gets bored waiting for me...

*A while later*

Pan frowned as her mother's head lolled on her shoulders and huffed. She'd have to entertain herself some other way. Across the yard, she saw her Uncle Goten and got on her hands and knees to crawl over to him. He was completely focused on his homework, so much so, that he didn't even hear her rustling through the grass as she made her merry way over to his side.

"Dang it, that's not right..." Goten erased the answer he'd written and began working out the problem again. If there was anything he hated, it was word problems. It seemed like every single one he came across, he ended up misreading it, or reading it too fast and missing something vital. They were the bane of his educational existence.

A small hand pressed against the side of his leg, and soft coos met the Son's ears. Goten looked down, eyes wide at the sudden appearance of his little niece. Pan's brown eyes sparkled, and she babbled gleefully at him, a bright smile on her tiny face. A glance across the yard told him that his sister in-law had fallen asleep under the tree, which explained how Pan was able to get to him undetected.

"Not now, Pan-chan," Goten sighed, "I've gotta finish this homework so I can go over to Trunks'. Why don't you go back over to your mom and wake her up?"

The baby furrowed her brow at him and grabbed onto his pants leg tightly, apparently she wasn't going back across the yard. The chibi plopped down on her diapered bottom in the grass and began to play with her feet again, tail waving about cheerily behind her. Every once in a while, Pan would look up at her uncle to see if he was watching her and, if he was, she would grin and babble, "Unca G." If he wasn't, she'd whimper and mewl until he did.

"I'm never going to finish this, Pan," Goten told the persistent baby wearily, "I'm just not good at it." Pan reached out to him, asking to be picked up, and the youngest Son brother did as she requested, scooping her into his arms. When she was settled, the daughter of Gohan laid the palms of her little hands against his cheeks and butted her nose clumsily against his.

"What was that for?" Goten questioned. Pan squeezed his cheeks a few times and laughed, "Unca G, Unca G, Unca G." She patted his cheeks a few times and laid her head in the crook of his neck, babbling a mixture of his name, her Papa's, and her Mama's. Holding the tiny angel in his arms somewhat soothed the demi saiyan's mind, and he attempted to work on his homework again, listening to his niece's one-sided conversation.

The math became much easier to do now that he'd allowed the pressure he'd been feeling to leave him, and Goten found himself working at a moderate pace, taking his time on each and every problem so his mother wouldn't send him back to do it over. Pan's babbles were a little quieter, and her head felt a bit heavier against his collar bone. The Son dropped a kiss on the top of her downy black hair and continued to work.

*later*

"I'm home!"

Gohan entered his house wearily, having spent the entire day in seminars and assemblies, and was more than ready to spend the evening relaxing with his wife and child. To his surprise, there was no smell of dinner on the stove and Videl wasn't coming out of the kitchen to greet him with a kiss and their happy Pan-chan perched on her hip... the humble abode was completely silent. Mildly alarmed, the son of Goku spread out his extra sense, searching for his wife and daughter's ki signatures.

Videl was out in the backyard, snoozing peacefully judging by the lull in her ki, and Pan was next door with... with Goten? That was surprising. The Son dropped his things in the front hall and headed towards the backdoor to see what was going on. Upon stepping out onto the deck, Gohan immediately spotted his wife under one of their peach trees, napping peacefully.

With a chuckle, the new father hopped down the steps and went to her side so he could move her inside of the house. As he crossed the yard to reach her, he glanced over to his parents' backyard and smiled at the sight of his little brother doing his homework with a sleepy Pan perched in the crook of his arm. The little thing was tired, but fighting desperately to stay awake as her Uncle tried to coax her into going to sleep. As he spoke, the little one kept grabbing onto his face and tugging at his cheeks, butting her nose against his in her adorably clumsy fashion.

"Come on, Pancake," Goten put his now-finished homework to the side and turned all of his attention on his niece, "you need to sleep so you can grow into a big girl. Sleeping's good for you." Pan yawned and mewled, obviously trying to convey to him that she didn't want to go to sleep yet. Goten rubbed her back lovingly, murmuring to her as her eye lids began to droop.

"Wow," Gohan, having moved Videl to the couch, came across the yard, "who knew you were such a stellar uncle, Squirt?" Goten blushed and stood up from the steps to attempt to pass Pan to her father. The adorable chibi whined and clung to his shirt, refusing to let go. The younger Son brother rolled his eyes and continued to hold the baby.

"She came over here when Videl fell asleep," Goten explained, "and now she won't let me go."

"She can be clingy when she's sleepy," Gohan nodded once, smiling at his little girl as she cuddled into Goten, "she'll be asleep soon. This is usually when her fight gives out." Pan yawned cutely and laid her little head on her Uncle's shoulder, looking at her father with half-lidded eyes. She mumbled, "Papa..." and drifted off into slumber. The two Son brothers shared a look and a smile, and the elder brother led the way across the yard to his home to get his little girl laid down in her crib.

Goten: 20

Pan: 7

Gohan: 31

"Uncle G, Uncle G!" A little raven haired chibi yelled as she flew across the yard to him, "spar with me!" She was dressed in a little dark blue gi, one that was strikingly similar to the one her father wore as a child, with a white t-shirt underneath, and a red obi and wrist bands. Her wavy hair was pulled back in a braid, and her brown eyes were shining with eagerness.

"Panny, I can't right now," Goten responded, "I've got a date with India in a bit and I've got to get ready."

The littlest Son pouted at him and crossed her little arms over her chest, "you always have dates and you never want to spar with me anymore." She was surprisingly intimidating for being just barely three feet tall, and the Son felt a drop of sweat trickle down his forehead.

"Aww, come on, Pancake," the younger son of Goku chided, "I've got time to spar with you, just not right now. You can wait, right?" Her tense expression didn't falter, and her brown eyes, if possible, hardened a bit more. With a huff, Pan turned and flew back over to her side of the yard and went back into the house. She didn't bother to spare him another glance over her shoulder and, despite himself, Goten felt a shard of regret lodge itself in his heart. Pushing it away, he headed into the house to get ready for his date.

*meanwhile*

"Papa," Pan entered her father's study, pout still on full display, "Uncle G won't spar with me. Can you spar with me, Papa? Please?"

Gohan, who was in the midst of getting his lesson plan for the coming week together, sighed and shook his head in the negative, "Sorry, Panny, I'm really busy right now. Maybe later."

"Oh," Pan's face fell even more, "okay..." She turned on her heel and hurried down the hall to the front door. If nobody was going to spar with her, then she'd just train by herself for the day. The little Son exited the Satan-Son household and flew off into the forest to find a place to train.

*elsewhere*

Goten coughed to hide the yawn that was fighting to escape his body as he listened to India babble on and on about stuff that he didn't really care about. He'd rather be anywhere than here, even training with his overeager niece. At the thought of Pan, that shard of regret lodged in his chest gave a slight pulse, and then lay still. He could spar with Pan later.

"Are you even listening to me, Goten-kun?" India inquired in that chirpy voice of hers. The Son faked a bright grin and nodded, "Of course I am, Valese, you know that."

"Who's Valese?"

"I... uh..."

"Goten," the brunette haired bombshell stood slowly from their booth in the diner, "are you... are you cheating on ME?!" Towards the end of her sentence, her voice rose to a high-pitched screech that made his ears ring and all eyes turn to their table. India suddenly wasn't so beautiful as she stood over him, chest heaving as she panted with rage and teeth bared as though she intended to rip him apart with her bare hands.

"N-no, India-chan, I'd never cheat on you," Goten backtracked at once, "Valese is just this girl I used to date-"

"An ex?" the crazed brunette demanded, "you called me your exe's name? HOW DARE YOU, YOU PIG!" She grabbed her glass of juice and dumped the contents on his head with a flourish, "don't call me anymore, Son Goten, we're through!"

Cheeks flaming red, the youngest Son brother moaned in embarrassment as the other diner patrons began to whisper and snigger among themselves, casting furtive glances back in his direction. A guy sitting in the both behind his slapped him on the back, "tough break, man, chicks are hard to please."

"You're preaching to the choir on that one," Goten mumbled, sliding out of the booth and speedily exiting the diner. His reputation was probably going to shot, Trunks would never let him live this down, and his favorite shirt would never be free of the gigantic purple stain from India's juice. This day couldn't possibly get any worse.

*elsewhere*

"HI-YAH! YA! YA! YA!" Pan shouted a rapid succession of kiai and she tore through a quick, intense kata. She'd been working through the more intense katas that Mister Piccolo, Mister Vegeta, and her Papa had shown her in a haze of impotent rage. She hated being ignored more than anything, even needles at the doctors, wearing frilly dresses, and watching Bra's stupid princess movies at her sleepovers.

Nobody has time for me anymore, Pan thought to herself, I'm gonna train by myself and get big and strong so I can kick all their butts for not sparring with me.

The little Son had a set schedule for sparring. On certain days, she was allowed to spar with Mister Vegeta or Mister Piccolo, and on others, like today, she was supposed to spar with her father or uncle. Her mother had created the schedule so her fight-crazed chibi wouldn't go around harassing all of her mentors every single day.

Only very recently had Pan learned to use her ki to create ki blasts, and she was eager to try out one of her father's signature ki blasts. Having seen him use the attack often while sparring with her uncle or Mister Piccolo, she felt that she understood perfectly how to do it.

Placing both hands, one on top of the other, palms facing outward and away from her, against her forehead, the daughter of Gohan began to charge a bright yellow ball of ki in her hands. After a few seconds, she had a nicely sized ball of slightly unstable ki in her hold. Focusing on a boulder about fifteen yards away from her, Pan narrowed her gaze and brought her hands down, parallel to her shoulders with a resounding cry.

"MASENKO HA!"

While her form and technique were correct, little Pan didn't have the proper amount of focus or control over her ki that her father did and, when she brought her hands down to release the blast, it backfired with a sizable explosion that sent the young girl flying back about twenty or so yards. The force of the explosion, coupled with the suddenness of it, knocked Pan unconscious.

*G*G*G*G*G*

En route to Mount Paozu, Goten perked up when his niece's ki spiked a little higher than it usually did when she was training. The spike slowed as it came to a slight peak, and then spiked a bit higher still before plummeting down to a level that suggested unconsciousness or a grievous wound. Forgetting the events of the day that had previously been plaguing his thoughts, the Son powered up and headed straight to where he'd last sensed his niece's ki, reaching out to his brother telepathically as he did so.

'Gohan? Did you feel Pan's ki just now?'

'Yeah, I did, I'm on my way now.'

Gohan was in Satan City, attending some sort of scholarly seminar, but Goten could sense his brother's anxious ki as he hurried to get out of the meeting so he could see about his daughter. At the rate he was going, the younger Son brother was going to reach Pan first.

*P*P*P*P*P*

Pan groaned as she came to, blearily opening her eyes to gaze at the treetops overhead. She raised a hand to rub at her forehead, frowning at the sensation of bare skin where her eyebrows used to be. A faint hissing noise sounded nearby as she placed her hands on the ground next to her hips to sit up, and the daughter of Gohan shook her head to clear it. A sharp pain in her wrist made her jerk it off of the ground and hold it to her chest.

A few neat streams of blood ran down Pan's arm as she took in the snake that had bitten her. Another warning hiss was already beginning to erupt from its mouth, and the little girl recoiled with a soft whimper as it raised its head to strike again. The place where it had already bitten her was starting to feel slightly tingly, and the sensation scared her. Before the snake could go for another bite, it was incinerated by a small yellow ki ball. Pan looked up at her savior and grinned brightly.

"Uncle Goten!"

"Hey, kiddo," Goten dropped to his knees next to his niece, "looks like you got yourself in a bit of a pickle. Let me see your arm." Pan readily offered her arm, and her uncle flinched at the puncture wounds from the snake's bite. He could, of course, smell his niece's fresh blood, but there was some other scent coming from her wound that gave him a bad feeling in his gut.

"Uncle G, my arm feels all prickly and tingly," Pan admitted quietly, "and my eyebrows disappeared."

"Tingly?" Goten questioned, "Panny, can you tell me what the snake looked like?" The little Son furrowed her brow, "brown... brown with black and dark brown spots."

Shit, shit, shit... where the hell is Gohan?

Pan bit her lip to hold back her tears as the numbness began to spread a little further up her arm. She could barely feel the tips of her fingers, and she grabbed her Uncle's wrist with her healthy arm, "Uncle G, I can't feel my fingers."

"Keep your arm down," the Son recalled this from what Gohan had taught him about snake bites when he was younger, "that'll keep it from spreading up your arm as fast. We need to get you to the hospital, Pancake."

"But hospitals have needles," the frightened girl mumbled, and Goten smiled wanly, "Panny, we need to get you better." There was a whoosh of air overhead as Goten scooped his niece into his arms, and Gohan appeared beside the pair, dressed in his work clothes and rumpled from the wind.

'What took you so long?'

'The president of SCU wanted to talk to me and I couldn't dodge him. Sorry.'

"A snake bit our Pancake, Gohan," Goten said aloud, carefully keeping his niece's arm down towards the ground, "we need to get her to the hospital because her arm's starting to go numb."

The elder Son brother tore a strip of fabric from his shirt and tied it around his daughter's wrist, pressing a kiss to her forehead as she trembled fearfully. The two Sons shared a look, and then took off for Satan City in a burst of golden ki.

*a while later*

"Hi, love," Videl answered her cell phone, "I thought you were still..." Her jaw dropped almost comically, and she very narrowly avoided dropping her cell phone, "what? Panny... but... how's she doing?"

"She's handling it like a champ now. She was scared at first, but Goten got her calmed down. The doctor had her identify what kind of snake it was with some pictures, and they administered the anti-venom. It was a exponentially less-venomous cousin of the Mamushi, thankfully. If it had been the real thing, well... let's not worry about that. She's been asking for you."

"I'll be right up there... Should I tell your mother?"

"I think we should wait a bit," Gohan responded, "you know how she gets."

"Okay... Kami, Gohan... I'm leaving right now. Tell Panny I love her and I'll be there soon."

*at the hospital*

"Hey, kiddo," Goten gently thumbed his niece's snub nose, "how'd you knock yourself out in the first place?" The littlest Son had already explained how she'd come to encounter the venomous viper, but the only detail that was missing was how she'd ended up unconscious in the first place. A red flush claimed her cheeks, and she was suddenly very interested in the IV cannula taped to the back of her hand, administering saline in case of a fever.

"Panchali Vidalia," the Son warned, "what were you up to?"

Pan mumbled her answer under her breath, so low that her Uncle couldn't even pick it up with his heightened hearing. Goten reached up and pulled her chin gently so she'd have to look at him. He narrowed his eyes, "what was going on in the woods, kiddo? You can tell your old Uncle anything, Pancake, you know that."

"I was trying to do Papa's Masenko," the daughter of Gohan replied despondently, "but it blew up in my face and made my eyebrows disappear." She gestured to the space where her eyebrows used to be, and Goten bit back a laugh at how large her forehead seemed without eyebrows. Instead, he kissed her forehead and eyed her critically, trying desperately to ignore the adorable puppy-dog eyes she was throwing his way.

"Panny, you know you're not supposed to use ki blasts without an adult around. What if I hadn't gotten there when I did and the snake bit you again?" Goten queried gingerly, and Pan's brown eyes flashed with anger.

"You and Papa didn't wanna train with me today, so I went and trained by myself." the chibi seethed, "how am I s'posed to learn how to use ki blasts if you and Papa don't wanna show me how?"

"Kiddo, you know we're adults and adults have stuff do a lot of the time," the younger Son brother murmured, "sometimes we get too busy and we can't get out there and train you and show you new things. I'm sorry, but that's how life is."

"Life isn't fair." Pan scowled at nothing in particular, crossing her arms over her little chest. Goten flicked her nose teasingly and smiled, "I'm sorry I didn't come spar with you today. I should've, Kami knows I didn't do anything remotely productive today."

"Grandma Chichi says you should stop dating those city girls because they're floozies," Pan told him seriously, "maybe you should listen to her because she's your Mama. I listen to my Mama, so you should listen to yours."

"You don't listen to your Mama all the time, Pancake. What about when she tells you to clean up and put on a dress so you can go to Bra's sleepover Princess parties?"

"Ew..." Pan scrunched her face up, "I don't like dresses, though, so it's okay if I don't listen when she has dresses." Goten rolled his eyes and leaned in, "can I have a Pancake kiss, please?" The littlest Son smiled and bumped her nose against his, "can we spar tomorrow, Uncle Goten?"

"If your Mama and Papa say so, but you have to tell them about the ki blast first... and you have to get out of the hospital, too, of course," the Son chuckled, "if you get the okay from the Doctor and your parents, then we can go spar."

"Yay!" the daughter of Gohan cheered, and then pouted, "but Mama and Papa will be mad if I tell them about the ki blasts..."

"You shouldn't have been doing that in the first place, Pancake, you know that because they told you so," Goten murmured, "you're not supposed to do stuff that your parents aren't okay with. It's not right and it'll get you in trouble."

Pan continued to pout, and Goten gently kissed her forehead, "I'm glad you're alright, kiddo. I love you." She cracked a smile and hugged him around his neck, "love you, too, Uncle G."

I was gonna do a few more scenes with these two, but I think these two are pretty good. Enjoy the fluff!
