Nia had, like her brother and the others, been pretty weary about Alexander when she first met him. Something about his attitude just made her cautious. But now that she was staring at what he had pulled together… well, it was hard not to be happy about having a stupid rich and influence cousin right now.

"How did you get all this together so quickly?!" Junji asked, stunned as he looked at the large aircraft that was parked on the front yard of the Vanguard base.

Alexander shrugged. "Oh, it's nothing really. This is just what I was able to scrape together within the hour. If I had a bit more time I could have assembled a small army. Not that it would go much good against Oberon," he said.

"Humble-bragging is still bragging," Cayenne said scowling. She had been the first to volunteer when Micah brought up making a team to help out the Butterfly siblings. She still hadn't been able to sort out all this family drama nonsense going on, but someone had been kidnapped and asses needed kicking. That was more than enough reason for her to tag along.

Micah and Junji had not surprisingly come as well, along with Dai Tai and Amber. Opal had been ready and willing to fight, but admitted that she wouldn't make much of a difference and ultimately decided to stay. And Ezra had wanted to come along before being talked out of it by Damian and Astro.

As much as they appreciated his willingness to help, he just wasn't experienced enough for this. And Alexander could only shield so many people from Oberon's magic at once. If too many tagged along they'd just get frozen, or his own magic would be drained too quickly for him to be of any use.

"Are you guys sure you want to do this?" Astro asked. "We're going to his home. We're going to be on his playing field. This'll be even more in his favor than last time, which obviously didn't work out. So if anyone wants to-"

"If you're seriously about to ask me if I'm gonna wimp out, I'm gonna knock your stupid teeth out," Cayenne said glaring at him. As if she was gonna back out of a fight.

"Yeah, nobody's planning on leaving man. We're buckled in and along for the ride," Micah said crossing his arms. Junji nodded in agreement.

Dai Tai punched her fist into her palm. "I've been wanting to find out more about some of these gods anyway. May as well get started now," she said.

Amber nodded. "We're all in."

"Alright then. Everyone just… be careful. You all already know just how powerful the people we're dealing with are," Astro said as he made his way onto the aircraft.

"Nobody else will have to deal with Oberon though. He's mine," Nia said. The girl had been acting much more seriously than usual. The moment she found out AJ was missing, her mind had only been focused on getting him back. "AJ first though…" She wanted to make it clear he was the priority here.

Dai Tai patted her shoulder. "We'll take care of rescuing him. You just focus on bringing down that old geezer. Make sure he needs life alert by the time you're done."

"I'm not sure what exactly that means, but we will."

They all turned their heads and saw Uran approaching. The man had an expression that neither Astro or Alexander couldn't quite place, and… something felt off about him. Well, maybe not off, but unusual. Nia didn't seem to notice however. She was concerned about something else.

"Dad, I… I don't know if you should… I don't want you to get hurt." She really didn't know how to say this without hurting his pride, but… without his magical power, he wasn't able to stand up to Oberon and the others. And she didn't feel right bringing him along knowing how much danger he'd be in.

Alexander was about to voice his agreement, when suddenly Uran opened his palm. The others felt a rush of magic burst from him, and looked shocked. "I don't think you need to worry about that," he said chuckling.

Nia's eyes lit up. "Whoa! You got your magic back?!"

"How?" Astro asked, clearly confused.

"It seems that the run in with my father caused the spell sealing my magic to slip. Or perhaps it just wore off. Either way, I won't be so useless this time. I promise," he said balling his fist up. "I'm going to protect my little girl this time."

Nia looked ecstatic. She rushed over and hugged Uran. "Alright! This is amazing! With your powers back we'll definitely be able to take them on!" she cheered.

Uran patted her head. "Well, I'm afraid it still won't be so easy. I'm not exactly on par with my father, or Umbriel. Even my sister has the upperhand on me. This will still be an uphill battle," he said. "But I still think we can win. We have you after all."

Nia beamed, while both Astro and Alexander looked skeptical. Oberon's magic wasn't something that just slipped or wore off. Something felt wrong here. Alexander looked over towards the Vanguard base. Puck had been missing for some time. Had he stuck his hand in this?

"We don't have time to dawdle. We should get going," Uran said as he made his way onto the ship. Nia nodded and followed after him, and soon the others did as well.

"On the way, let's go over the plan."

The inside of the carrier was dead silent as they made their way towards Avalon. It wasn't hard to see that everyone was a bit tense. They had gone over the plan a few times to make sure everyone knew their roll, but knew to expect anything. Uran hadn't been to Avalon in years, so for all he knew everything could have changed.

So they kept things simple.

Cayenne, Micah, Junji, and Dai Tai would create a distraction for whatever henchman or enemies Oberon had in store for them. Ember and Sear would track down AJ and make sure he was okay. Uran insisted that he would deal with his sister. He knew she wouldn't just sit out while all of thi was going on. Alexander would hold off Cressida.

Astro would deal with Umbriel, and Nia would deal with Oberon.

Uran had been more than a little worried about Nia taking him on by herself. He had suggested her holding off and going with one of them until they could take him on together, but she said she'd be fine. Astro agreed, saying he'd back her up after he took down Umbriel.

Both Alexander and Uran knew that this wasn't going to be an easy task. But the way the both of them said it. The looks they had on their faces. They knew the two one hundred percent believed that they could pull them off. And given how stacked against the situation was against them, they had to take their word for it.

"We're about to arrive. And we're probably going to have a welcoming party."

Everyone looked up towards Alexander as he straightened his tie. Cayenne cracked her neck. "Good, I'm getting squirrely in this place," she said getting up. She was just itching to get into a fight. She was ready to kick a god's ass.

They felt the ship touched down, and then the door began to open. Everyone got ready to rush out into action the moment it did. They knew there was probably already a force gathered outside and waiting for them. But instead they were greeted with the sight of a single woman.

Uran's eyes widened. "Cordelia?"

Nia looked back and forth between her father and the woman. There was definitely a resemblance there with the skin and hair. She looked a lot like Queen Titania. Was the sister he had been talking about. She stared back at them, not a single hint of emotion showing on her face.

"Brother. How nice to see you again. It's been… what, eleven, twelve years?" she asked. She glanced towards the others. "I see you still enjoy staying in the company of mortals. Or… are these you're daughter's comrades?"

Uran stepped forward, glaring. "Don't stand in our way Cordelia. I don't want to have to fight you, but I need to confront father. So step aside and-"

"I have no intention of fighting you," she said simply. Uran looked at her surprised, and so did the others. They had come fully expecting a fight. So… this was a bit odd. "Father went through quite a bit of trouble to lure young Titania here. I'm not inclined to keep him waiting any further."

Cayenne smirked. "Well shit. This plan went way more smoothly than I thought." If they were just willing to open the door for them so they could go knock the old fart's teeth out, she wasn't about to turn it down.

Cordelia raised her hand. "But, only my niece and her… ward, may pass."

For a moment, everyone was silent. They turned towards Nia and Astro. The siblings both looked confused. Why the both of them? Nia was obvious. She was the overall target in all of this nonsense. But him?

"My father wishes to test young Titania's might. You will go to the castle and meet with him," she said looking at Nia. She then turned towards Astro. "As for you, my son seemed rather intent on striking down the son of Typhon. He is waiting in the courtyard. I don't believe you should have any trouble finding either of them. And I suggest you not stray or stall."

Cayenne scowled. "If you really think we're about to sit here with our thumbs in our asses while they just-" Nia suddenly shot off towards the castle, and the others were almost knocked off of their feet. "What the hell?!"

The others were about to go after her, but Astro raised his hand. "No, you guys stay here for right now. We have a plan, remember?" he asked.

"The hell are you talking about?! This wasn't part of the fucking plan you-"

Micah suddenly put a hand on her shoulder. "We got this bro. Go get them." Cayenne turned and scowled at the boy, but he just shrugged his shoulders. "Relax Cayenne. Just gotta trust us on this. It's a bro thing, right Junji?"

The dragon looked confused. "Oh, uh… yeah. Bro thing." He honestly had no idea what was going on, but he would act like he did!

Cayenne sighed and palmed her face, while Dai Tai looked on equally confused. Amber however didn't seem at all bothered. She had caught the same thing Micah had. Astro had told them to stay here 'for right now'.

Astro and Nia were being given a free path towards Oberon and Umbriel, which was what they had wanted. Uran was planning on taking on his sister, who was right here. There was no reason not to play along for now. Less enemies to deal with, and once they got a chance, they would do their job and track down AJ.

"Whatever. Stupid male thing. If you're not back after too long I'm kicking this bitch to the curb and going after everyone myself," Cayenne said, slamming her fist into her hand. "You better not go and get yourself killed, prince asshat."

Astro waved her off. "Yeah, sure, whatever. Just try not to die while I'm gone." He rushed off towards the castle, going into his monster form. He had to take down Umbriel quickly so he could go and back up Nia.

It wasn't going to be an easy fight. Umbriel was strong. Stronger than him probably. Much stronger. If he faltered for even a moment he was sure Umbriel would kill him. He had to go all out from the start. No holding anything back. This was all or nothing.

"Damn it, this isn't the time for fun…" Astro said, a wicked smile on his face.

Oberon smirked as he sat on his throne and waited. He could feel a massive magical powered speeding towards him at an insane speed. Of everyone in the family only two had magical power even close to rivaling his, and Umbriel was waiting for Typhon's son in the courtyard. Which meant…

CRASH!

A figure slammed down in the middle of the room, and Oberon's smirk only grew as he looked down at the intruder. "Granddaughter," he said amused.

Nia was already in her mewberty form, and the expression on her face was downright frightening. "Where's AJ?" she asked dangerously. The moment she knew she could head straight here and confront him, she'd taken the chance. If he beat him, then everything would turn back to normal.

"I presume you mean the mortal boy Cressida snatched away," Oberon said standing up. "I see that you've inherited your grandmother's interest in mortal men. But he is of no importance at the moment. We have much more important matters to-"

"Where's AJ?" she asked again, bawling her fist up.

Oberon sighed. "Titania, you human pet is unharmed. But a word of advice. If you are to truly realize your true abilities, you mustn't let yourself be snared by such trivial things," he said as he approached her. "You may have spent your time in whatever dimension your father tucked you away in. But the role you played there is irrelevant."

Nia grit her teeth. "You are of my blood. You are a child of Oberon. A child of Avalon. A god. You have power incomparable to those around you. To try and mask yourself as nothing more than a mere commoner is beneath you. You're simply going to have to-"

"Shut up," Nia said, cutting him off. "Stop trying to tell me what I am. What I'm pretending to be. You've never even met me until today. You know nothing about me."

She raised her hand, and for a moment Oberon thought she was going to pull out the wand. But instead a sword of magical energy appeared in her hand. "I'm not a child of yours, or Avalon, or a god," she said pointing the sword at him. "I am Nia Butterfly, and I'm a princess of mewni. And what I have to do is get my friend back and go home…"

She got into a fighting stance, and Oberon could feel waves of magical energy flowing off of her. "...after I kick your ass…"

Oberon narrowed his eyes. He should have expected as much. Despite all of her power she was still a child. But still, whatever was driving her was bringing forth a wellspring of power. He raised his hand and signaled for her to come. "Show me your resolve, child…"

A/N: ROUND 2! Nia is going up against her grandpa again, and Astro is headed towards a brawl with Umbriel! The others will be seeing some action two, but I guess I just wanted to set up the two main events. The rest of the Oberon Fam isn't about to just sit by quietly, and the others still got to rescue AJ. Plus Alexander has a few tricks up his sleeve too.
