Micah felt like he was playing some kind of war game or something. Only one that was much too realistic for his liking. The ground was shaking, he could hear all types of commotion off in the distance, and he was going his best to try and just stay out of sight while it all went down.

He was sort of shocked they hadn't been noticed yet, but he guessed that the giant iron gargoyles stuck out a lot more than they did. "C'mon, we're almost at the castle," Cayenne said as she led the group towards one of the side entrances. "You picking up anything yet gecko?"

Sear growled towards her, but Amber reached down and patted his head. "Don't mind her Sear. Just please do your best to try and sniff out AJ," she said.

The dragon huffed. He didn't care for the boy very much. He was much too close to Nia for his liking. But Astro had given him an order, and he would carry it out. He sniffed in the air for a bit, and then narrowed his eyes before shooting off in another direction.

"Hey, where's he going?!" Cayenne shouted.

"Not sure! But we should probably follow him! His nose has never led us wrong!" Junji said as he turned and ran after his fellow dragon.

Cayenne sighed. "Fine, whatever." They all followed Sear's lead, but the dragon didn't get much further before he stopped dead in his tracks. "What the hell are you-?" A figure appeared before them, and Cayenne quickly raised her fists. "Shit!"

Cressida stared at the group with a blank expression on her face. The other looked surprised, but Cayenne and Dai Tai reacted quickly. They leapt forward towards the girl, fist and foot raised to strike, but suddenly she vanished. "Where's she go?!" Dai Tai asked looking around.

"You're looking for the boy, aren't you?"

Everyone turned around to see Cressida not behind the group. Micah and Junji both got ready to defend themselves, but she raised her hand and then snapped her finger. In an instant, the group had gone from the forest outside to the inside of… a prison? "What the heck?!"

Once again, everyone's heads turned as they saw AJ standing in front of a cell. "Take him," Cressida said simply. "He's noisy and he won't stop thrashing around."

Cayenne glared at her and kept her guard up, but nodded towards Amber. The septarian walked over and slashed the lock open with her heated sickle, and AJ quickly made his way out and turned towards Cressida. "I'm gonna knock your stupid face off you little-!"

Cayenne grabbed him by the back of his shirt before he could lunge at Cressida. "Whoa there kid, cool it. Boxing a little out of your weight class here," she warned.

"Frankly, all of you are," Cressida said, turning to leave.

"Wait just a second!" Amber called. "What sort of trap is this?"

Cressida sighed. "Really? You think I would need a trap to deal with the lot of you? We don't care about the boy. His use was to lure Titania here, and nothing more. Now that he has served that purpose, I couldn't care less if you take him," she said.

"And you really expect us to believe that you're just going to let us go? You have to know that we're going to-"

"Try and help her?" Cressida asked cutting Dai Tai off. "Go then. You won't make any difference. You are all ants among elephants here. My grandfather is going to defeat Titania, and my brother will slay that other one too. It's just inevitable."

"You don't know that!"

"Yes I do!" Cressida shouted back angrily. "That's how things work! It's how they've always worked! You think just because you're here things will be different?!" She turned and began storming off again. "If you want my advice, leave now. At least that way the little brat will still have friends when this is all over."

She vanished once more, leaving the group behind. AJ scowled. "Screw her! Where's Nia, we gotta go help her!" he said ready to rush off. Cayenne grabbed him again. "Gah! Stop doing that!" he shouted angrily.

"No way! We're getting you back to the ship! Then we're going to-!"

"I ain't leaving Nia to fight on her own!"

Cayenne sighed. "Look, I get it kid. Your little girlfriend is in trouble and you wanna rush to go save her. But think about this. What can you really do here?" she asked.

"About as much as you guys!" AJ shouted back. "If you're planning on going I'm going too! If you take me back to the ship I'll just run off on my own!"

"You rebellious little shit! I'm trying to keep you out of trouble!"

"Well you're screwed, because my middle name is trouble!"

"You wanna bet?!"

Cayenne and AJ glared at one another, while the others just watched. "Well, this isn't gonna play out like we planned, nothing unusual there…" Micah said. He turned towards Junji. "Wing it?"

He nodded. "Wing it."

Uran crashed to the ground, and quickly rolled back up to his feet just before a blast came down on him. He leapt back and then blasted at Cordelia, who easily smacked it away. "You're a fool big brother," she said, disappointment clear in her voice. "You couldn't even stand up to me, and somehow you hope to topple father?"

She snapped her fingers and sent a streak of fire rushing at him. Uran jumped to the side, only to find his sister gone when he looked back. He was suddenly struck from behind and flew forward, crashing into a tree. He glared and gripped the tree, and it suddenly broke down into hundreds of splinters.

He swung his hands and they went flying towards her. "I'll do anything I need to do to protect my family! Not that you would understand that!"

Cordelia raised her hand, and a wall of earth rose up and blocked the attack. Uran moved his fingers and a few circled around the wall and towards her again, but she snapped her finger and they vanished into thin air. "You have to gull to try and use the excuse of family? After you went and abandoned us?"

She stomped her foot, and Uran jumped up just before two crystals shot out of the ground and pierced him. He hovered in the air and growled. "How could you possibly blame me for leaving?! I hated this place! When father banished everyone it was the happiest day of my life!"

He kept blasting at her, but she moved her hands and sent them away. "I was finally free of his constant judgement, his disappointed looks, all the pressures of being his son! Then all of a sudden he summons all of us back and expects me to fall back into line! No! I was never going back to that!"

Cordelia swatted the next blast back at him, and he was forced to lean back to avoid it. In that split second she teleported over him and then blasted him down to the ground. "You and your constant whining! As if you were the only one who didn't like it here!" she said, shooting at him again.

He rolled over just barely managing to get out of the way, but the force of the blast sent him flying. "Father was insufferable to the both of us! That was never in question!" she yelled as she kept firing at him. Uran got up and moved as fast as he could to avoid them. "I don't know why I'm even surprised you ran! You always have! Even when we were children! And when you were off hiding where did all of Father's attention turn to?!"

Uran stopped in his track and then formed a force field around himself. The next blast hit the force field and sent it sliding back a few feet, but it held. "Where do you think all the disappointment and annoyance was directed big brother?!" she shouted.

"I-I didn't tell you to stay! I didn't force you to keep dealing with him!" he argued, struggling to keep the shield up. "You could have left too!"

"I shouldn't have had to!" The shield began to crack, and he was forced back even further. "You can't stand up to me! You can't expect to be able to hold your ground after years of running away! You were weak, and your cowardass only made you weaker!"

The shield finally shattered, and Cordelia stopped blasting and watched as he brother fell down to one knee, struggling to catch his breath. She walked towards him, a glare on her face as he raised her hand.

Uran looked down at the ground, tired. "I… fine, you're right. I'm a coward," he admitted. "I ran away because I just didn't want to deal with him. And I didn't care who had to deal with the fallout. I just… I should have asked you to come. Or to confront him with me. Or something. I just… I'm sorry."

Cordelia looked down at him, and for just a split second, he thought he spotted her expression softening. But then she glared again. "Your apology is a few hundred years too late, big brother…"

She got ready to finish him off, but just as she was about to deliver the final blow, they both sensed something in the distance. Something was approaching the island, and it was approaching fast. "What is this? Another one of your little friends?" she asked.

Uran was just as confused. The magical power coming towards them was huge. And… it also felt sort of familiar. Very familiar. But it couldn't have been…

They watched as the figure came speeding towards them, and Cordelia jumped back before it crashed into her. She glared up at the woman before her. "And just who are you?" she asked. Just how many invaders were they going to have today.

Uran was absolutely stunned. "What the-?! Star?!"

The queen was in her mewberty form, and decked out in her armor. She glared at Cordelia. "Get away from my husband," she said, forming a sword in her hand.

"What are you doing here?!" Uran asked. "How did you-?! I mean-!" There were so many thoughts he was having right now. A storm of emotions going through him. Confusion and happiness were probably the two most prominent right now.

Star looked over her shoulder and smiled back at him. "Hey Uran," she said sweetly. "I know there's a lot of stuff we need to talk about, but I get the feeling there's some stuff we need to take care of first. Are you still okay to fight?"

Uran quickly got back up to his feet. "Oh course! But you shouldn't worry, I can handle my sister myself! You don't have to-!"

"Yeah, I flew all the way here. I'm not sitting this one out," Star said pointing her sword at Cordelia. "We need to sort all of this out so me, you, and Nia can all sit down and finally have a proper family reunion."

Cordelia scoffed. "So, this is the mother. Did you come here hoping to rescue your dear daughter? I can sympathize with you, but the reality is-"

Star swung her fist down, and suddenly a large fist shaped rainbow came down and smashed Cordelia into the ground. "Yeah, I'm so past villain monologues," Star said before rushing at her.

Cordelia growled angrily as she got back up and blasted at her. Star stopped and opened a portal, swallowing the blast up. Another opened right beside Cordelia, where the blast was shot back up and struck her side. She stumbled to the side but quickly balanced herself.

She rushed around the portal and lunged at Star, but Uran appeared in front of her and grabbed her wrist. "It's been a while since we fought side by side like this," he said before spinning around and throwing his sister as far as he could.

Star made another portal, appearing up in the air behind her, and then swinging her sword. It didn't cut her, but it sent her flying back down to the ground. "I think we still sort of have it thought," Star said, smirking.

Uran clapped his hands together, and just before Cordelia hit the ground, two walls of earth shot up and slammed into her. "I'd say so. And watching you battle is just as breathtaking as always," he said smiling up at her.

Cordelia burst out of the ruble and then rushed at him, but Star blasted her down to the ground. "Aw, that's so sweet. But maybe we flirt after we beat down your… sorry, is this your mother or sister?" she asked.

"Sister."

Cordelia looked furious. "You little…!" She bawled her fist up and swung towards them, and a number of large roots shot out of the ground and rushed towards them.

Star swung her sword, sending a wave of magic out. Uran moved his hand, and the wave split apart into dozens of smaller ones, slashing the roots apart. "On my own, I admit that you have me beat, but you can't take on both of us Cordelia," Uran warned.

She scowled. "Even if I can't, this is all pointless. You can't topple father, no many how many of your allies show up. It's too late for you," she said. "The moment you set foot on this island that girl's fate was sealed."

Uran narrowed his eyes. "Maybe you're right. But I'm not willing to just roll over and let it happen. For once I'm not running from that stubborn old fool. I'm standing up to him."

"It's a mistake."

"I've made quite a few mistakes over the years, including being a horrible older brother. But this isn't one of them," he said shaking his head. "I don't want to fight you anymore Cordelia. Just stay here. Tell father I slipped past you or something. I just… I have to stand up to him for once. It's a long past time for it, so don't stop me."

She shook her head. "You're a fool…" Uran and Star both prepared to defend themselves, but she turned and began walking off. "I'm not wasting my time on you or your lover. If you want to go and get yourself killed by father, then by all means, go."

They watched as she walked off, then vanished. Uran stood and blinked. He… he hadn't expected her to just give up the fight. "Uran." He snapped out of his thoughts, and then turned around towards Star. "We have to get moving."

He nodded. "R-right… god it's so good to see you again," he said smiling. He knew now wasn't exactly the time, but god was he so happy to see her again.

"I know," Star said, leaning forward and giving him a kiss. "We have a lot of things to catch up on, and after we deal with your dear old dad I'm not letting you out of my sight. For right now though, we have to go help Nia."

"Not the family reunion I had hoped for. But given who we are I'm not sure what I should have expected. And it's better than nothing," he said as he turned to head off.

The two headed towards the castle.

Not having actually gone that far, Cordelia watched the two from the shadows. Her brother really wasn't a complete moron if he thought they had a chance at taking down Oberon. There was a reason that, despite how insufferable he was, she had never crossed him.

But still, a small part of her understood why. It wasn't easy for a parent to stand by while someone twisted their child into something else. She would know.

"Good fortune to you, big brother. You'll need it."

A/N: Yep, Oberon is pretty much a dick to everyone in is family. There's a lot of un-talked about stuff going on between the siblings in this fic. In a one on one Cordelia could definitely take Uran. He's sort of the weakest in the family (he's the Cressida or his sister's Umbriel) but lucky for him his wifey came in to save the day. And Cordelia really has no love loss for her father. It's more of something that she's just accepted she can't do anything about. And she may or may not still have a roll to play later!

Next chapter will be the showdown between Astro and Umbriel! The others will also get to see a little bit of action, and then we get into Nia's final showdown with Oberon!

Hope you guys enjoyed!
