Ways of the Dark
Hermione is hiding a secret and it is about to be revealed. Ron and Harry feel betrayed by everyone and fight. Who will win? Loosely based off The Dark Lady Series by CleoTheo.

Chapter 3: Getting Hermione Back
Once the Order finished their meeting, Dumbledore called for Ron and Harry to come in the room and discuss a rescue plan.
"So, Here is what we are going to do. We will have Arthur and I go to the Ministry and confront Lucius. We will convince him to hand Hermione over or we will strike", Dumbledore said to the boys.
"But what if he refuses?" Ron asked with a grumpy voice. He didn't think that would work. Lucius Malfoy was far too stubborn to let her go.
Dumbledore nodded to Ron, "I've thought of that. We will threaten to expel Draco since we knew his father took Hermione." Dumbledore smiled at the plan.
Harry and Ron thought it was reasonable and it would work. Soon they would get their friend back.
A Week Later
After planning their move for a week, Arthur and Dumbledore went to the Ministry to approach Lucius. When they entered the Ministry, the first thing they saw was a flash of long, blonde hair. They followed him and saw he was getting into a lift. They ran to get in with him and luckily got themselves the only ones in the lift.
Lucius knew he was being followed. That's why he went to the lift to get the 2 men alone. He wanted to be amused by what they had to say.
When the door to the lift closed, Dumbledore and Arthur glared at Lucius. "Lucius. Give Ms.Granger back or there will be consequences", Dumbledore said calm but firm.
Lucius looked at them and smirked, "Of course Albus. That is, if she will want to leave."
Arthur and Dumbledore were stunned by his statement.
"What is that supposed to mean?" Arthur asked.
"Just not everything is always as it seems. I'll bring Ms. Granger to this address tonight. Bring Potter and his pet Weasley if you feel unsafe but we will be alone", Lucius said as he handed them a paper, "Ah. This is my stop. Good day gentlemen."
Dumbledore and Arthur just stood in the lift for a while. Still too stunned to speak. Now though they will get Hermione and she can be safe out of the darks clutches.
That Night
Harry, Dumbledore, and Ron went to the given address and waited and watched for Hermione. Suddenly, they heard a pop and saw Lucius holding on to Hermione while she struggled to free herself.
"LET HER GO!" Ron yelled pointing his wand at Lucius.
Lucius smirked though and pushed her forward, "Very well. But my dear girl, Do you wish to leave your home and father?"
Before Hermione could answer, Harry yelled to Lucius, "HER FATHER!? HER FATHER IS A MUGGLE!?"
Hermione did a sweet smile at Lucius, "Of course not Lucius. Father just returned and it is my duty as Hermione Riddle to be by his side."
"TRAITOR!" Ron yelled and threw a hex at Hermione but she easily deflected it. "HOGWARTS WILL KNOW OF YOUR BETRAYAL!"
Hermione just shook her head, "Oh Ronald. No they won't. As far as they are concerned, I am a muggleborn. Do you honestly think they would believe you guys after Harry is being called crazy for claiming my father has returned?"
Lucius just smirked at the young girl and took her arm. "Bye boys. See you at school", Hermione said as her and Lucius both apperated away.
Ron, Harry, and Dumbledore all stood there shocked. They wondered how they have been fooled for years that their bookworm best fri- no former best friend was part of the dark all along.
