Ways of the Dark

Chapter 8: Curses and Completions

It has been 2 months and Hermione is starting to worry. She is currently sitting in the Great Hall and is trying to think of a way to fix the cabinet.

Suddenly a bunch of commotion woke her out of her daze and she turned to see what the fuss was about. What she saw made her pale. Katie Bell was back.

This was bad. If Katie remembers seeing Draco they could both be expelled or worse put in Azkaban! But to keep up her image Hermione walked up to Katie with a smile.

"Katie! I'm so glad you are back and okay!" She said with a genuine voice.

"Thanks Hermione. I feel a lot better. Though I still can't remember all that happened too well", She replied holding her head.

Hermione smiled, mainly because Draco wouldn't be outed, "That is okay. I'm sure it will get better."

Soon though, Harry came up and started asking Katie questions about who did this to her. She was about to respond when she freezes and pales.

Everyone turns to see what she is looking at and sees Draco Malfoy looking like a ghost as he spots Katie. Soon he is running out of the Great Hall but before anyone could do anything Harry raced after him. Hermione knew this wouldn't end well so she followed.

When she passed the girls lavatory she heard Moaning Myrtle scream at someone to stop it she went in and say just as Harry cursed Draco with a spell she never heard before.

Draco went to the ground and went white. He was bleeding a lot. Hermione screamed and ran to him. She held his head and tried all the healing spells she could. But nothing was working.

Hermione started to feel tears in her eyes, "Draco. Stop it! You can't leave me!"

She heard noise and saw Professor Snape run in. He looked at Draco and gave Hermione a look that said move. He leaned over Draco and started saying a spell.

The blood it seemed went back into Draco's body and heal him. But he was still unconscious. Snape looked to Hermione, "Take him to the hospital wing. Potter! Come with me."

Hermione levitated Draco and took him to the hospital wing to rest. She looked at his pale face and felt anger.

She was going to complete this task and have her father kill Dumbledore and Harry.

A month later Draco was still in the Hospital Wing but he woke with a smile when he saw his girlfriend in a chair reading next to him.

Hermione looked up and smiled. She sat her book down and went to Draco.

"It's finished Draco. The cabinet. Soon the Death Eaters will come and Dumbledore will be dead. Then Potter! I WON'T let this go unpunished."

Draco smiled at Hermione and felt pride for his girlfriend. "Soon we will rule the world."

Hermione nodded and gave him a kiss on the forehead and left to get to class. Soon. Soon everyone who got in her way would be dead.
