Episode 440: Ven Resolution
A couple of days had passed since catching Tirtouga and Archen, and meeting Stephan, so Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, and Axew were heading for Nimbasa City.
Along the way, they were stopping by a cave as a Roggenrola came on out. The Roggenrola came out and fired Flash Cannon right at the group.
"What the?" Sora asked He spotted the Rocky Type Pokémon right on front of him. "A Roggenrola."
"That was Flash Cannon it fired right at us," Terra said.
"That Roggenrola is going to be sorry it came at us like that," Sora said, taking out a Pokéball and threw it. "Go! Oshawott!" Oshawott came on out to battle. The wild Rogeenrola has unleashed Sandstorm all around. They all get caught up in the Sandstorm.
"He's using Sandstorm!" Kairi said, shieding her eyes.
"Oshawott! Use Sacred Sword!" Sora ordered. Oshawott came at Roggenrola with Sacred Sword, but Roggenrola fights back by using Rock Blast.
"Roggenrola is using Rock Blast!" Cilan said.
"Oshawott! Block it out!" Sora called out. Oshwaott swings his scalchop, blocking the rocks. Oshawott then lands a hit with Sacred Sword, leaving Roggenrola down for the count. Sora took out a Pokéball and threw it. Roggenrola flows inside as the Pokéball starts to wobble around and around. Stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch. Sora's Pokémon Box goes off asking him if he wants to keep Roggenrola with him. He chose to send Roggenrola to Professor Oak's lab. "Good work, Oshawott."
"Osha, Oashawott!" Oshawott said.
"That was an awesome catch, Sora!" Ventus said.
"Thanks, Ven," Sora said. He rubbed his cousin's head. Sora did wonder how good a trainer his cousin would be in the future. He had to see for himself one day.
A few hours later, Sora had exchanged Snivy, Oshawott, and Tepig for Krokorok, Venipede, and Trubbish. Kairi had exchanged Deerling for Audino. Kairi decided to challenge Cilan into a battle to practice as Sora has challenged Iris and her Druddigon.
Sora took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Come on out, Venipede!" Sora caleld out. Venipede came out to battle Druddigon. "Want to make the first move?" Sora asked.
"Druddigon! Dragon Claw!" Iris ordered. Druddigon came right at the centipede Pokémon.
"Dodge and use Poison Sting!" Sora ordered. Venipede avoids Druddigon's Dragon Claw and fires Poison Sting right at the cave Pokémon.
"Dodge and use Dig!" Iris ordered. Druddigon dug through the ground to avoid Poison Sting. Venpide looked around for Druddigon. The cave Pokémon came out and smacked Venipede. Venpiede lands on his back and then gets back up. "Venipede! Use Poison Sting again!" Venipede fires Poison Sting right at Druddigon.
"Dodge it!" Iris called out. Druddigon dodges by flying in the air. "Now, use Metal Claw!" Druddigon came right at the centipede Pokémon with Metal Claw, ready to strike. Venipede was struck hard. Venpipede started to evolve. Iris was surprised to see Venipede evolving. Venipede was now a Whirlipede. "I wasn't expecting that to happen."
"Druddigon," Druddigon added.
"I never expected you to evolve. It was sooner than I expected, but you ready to go?" Sora asked.
"Pede," Whirlipede said.
"Great! Whirlipede! Use Steamroller!" Sora ordered. Whirlipede jumps into the air and spins its body rapidly. Then, the tips of his antennae start to glow white and it slams his body into Druddigon. Druddigon held his ground when holding the newly evolved Whirlipede.
Over to Kairi and Cilan, she had Audino out as Cilan has his Pansage.
"Audino! Use Hyper Voice!" Kairi ordered. Audino unleashed Hyper Voice right at the grass monkey Pokémon.
"Dodge and use Dig!" Cilan ordered. Pansage dug to avoided Audino's Hyper Voice. Pansage popped out and fired Bullet Seed right at Audino. Audino is hit hard by the seeds.
"Audino! Use Double Slap!" Kairi ordered. Audino came at Cilan and gave him a couple of slaps. "Now, use Pound!" Audino lands a hit onto Pansage.
"That was a good dish, Kairi. Pansage! Use Solar Beam!" Cilan ordered. Pansage begins build up energy to fire Solar Beam.
"Be ready, Audino!" Kairi said. Audino nodded and waited for the call.
"I see that caution is your recipe, Kairi. That won't help you. Pansage, unleash it now!" Cilan ordered. Oansage fires Solar Beam right at the hearing Pokémon.
"Dodge it, now!" Kairi called out. Audino avoids Solar Beam just by moving to her right. "That was great, Cilan. You sure you're not a Coordinator by heart?"
"I can assure you that I'm not, but after seeing you in the Virbank Contest, I can count myself as a Contest Connisseur," Cilan said. "And I believe your Audino would do fine in the Contest."
"Thanks to you, I know which one I'll be using," Kairi said.
Back over to Sora and Iris, Sora and Iris decided to switch Pokémon by usning Pikachu and Deino.
"You do remember that Deino won't be phased by Pikachu's Electric Type attacks, right?" Iris asked.
"I remember Iris. Show me what you got," Sora said.
"With pleasure! Deino! Dragon Breath!" Iris ordered. Deino fired Dragon Breath right at the mouse Pokémon.
"Dodge and use Quick Attack!" Sora ordered. Pikachu avoids Deino's Dragon Breath and heads right towards Pikachu.
"Dodge and use Dragon Rage!" Iris ordered. Deino avoids Pikachu's Quick Attack. "Now, use Bite!" Deino moves in to deliever a bite onto the mouse Pokémon.
"Iron Tail!" Sora ordered. Pikachu swings his tail right at Deino, but he dodges just by jumping out of the way. Just then, a strong wind starts blowing.
"Pi?" Pikachu asked. "Pika!"
"Pikachu!" Sora and Iris exclaimed.
Kairi, Cilan, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Angel, Axew, and Meowth all saw him go through the air.
"Pikachu!" Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Cilan, and Meowth exclaimed.
"Eevee!" Angel cried.
A little further in a nearby town, Pikachu is tumbling down a mountain side and goes falling through the trees. Not too far, a small boy with aubrun red hair comes walking down the street, feeling bummed out when Pikachu fell right into the boy's arms. Pikachu accidentally lets out some electricity, shocking the boy. The fell on his back when Pikachu realized what he just did.
"Oops. Looks like I gone and done it again." - Piakchu subtitle. The boy adjusted his glasses.
"Are you a Pokémon?" The boy asked. "I never seen one like you before. I know! you're a species! Wow! I made a new discovery!"
"Uh, no you didn't." - Pikachu subtitle.
"A mysterious Pokémon who flewed out from the sky in a Thunderbolt! You must be the pre-eolved form of Zekrom, the legendary Pokémon!" The boy said.
"No, I'm not. I'm the pre-evolved form of Zekrom. And if I was, I would be looking like a small dragon, just like Spyro, but you wouldn't know who that is." - Pikachu subtitle.
"This is the coolest thing ever! I just found an ultra rare Pokémon!" The boy said, picking up Pikachu. "Oh, please be my friend, okay? I guess I should be saying is you have to be my friend and that's all there is to it! Is that okay?"
"What did I get myself into?" - Pikachu subtitle.
A little while later, the boy shows Pikachu to two other boys. One boy has green hair and wore a purple tie. He wore a light violet vest over a light pinkish color, and wore violet pants; he also wore black shoes. Another boy wore an orange jersey. He wore brownish black shorts, blue shoes, and wore a light blue bandana on his head.
"Sean! Glenn! It's my dad'd new Pokémon! A geniune pre-evolved form of Zekrom!" The boy said.
"Are you sure?! Zekrom?! Awesome! Let me borrow it!" Glenn said, taking Pikachu from his hands.
"But Glenn," the boy said. Sean looked right at the mouse Pokémon.
"I got a feeling I've seen this kind of Pokémon before," Sean said.
"Huh?" The two boys asked.
"Yeah! Pikachu! It's a Pikachu!" Sean said.
"Pikachu?" The boy asked.
"Never heard of it," Glenn said.
"It's a Pokémon from the Kanto region. I saw one when I was with my mom and dad in Saffron City once, so I know my Pikachu," Sean said. He looked right at the boy. "It's your dad's? Where and when did he get it? And what kind of moves does it know, Mick?" Mick froze in place since he realized he didn't know any of Pikachu's moves.
"Moves?" Mick asked.
"You sure walked into that one, kid." - Pikachu said.
"Ah, who cares about that junk? Mick, I say we have a battle!" Glenn said, handing Pikachu back to him.
"I don't know if I should," Mick said.
"Oh, come on, I just wanna have a harmless battle," Glenn said, taking two Pokéballs from Sean.
"Come on! Those Pokémon beloing to my dad!" Sean said.
"Excuse me, what did you say?" Glenn said, not liking his tone.
"Uh nothing," Sean said.
"Sorry, I can't because I have to go and do errands for my mom! See ya later!" Mick said, taking off.
"Hey, come one! Mick!" Glenn called out to him.
"I'll battle you next time! Sorry!" Mick said.
"You made a smart move, kid." - Pikachu subtitle.
MIck took off in the direction he came from. Both of Glenn and Sean stood there confused.
Over to Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Cilan, Iris, Angel, Meowth, and Axew, they searched for any signs of Pikachu. Angel was especially worried about him.
"Hey, Pikachu! Can you hear me? Shout if you can!" Sora called out. He sighed. "Nothing. Should have guessed it'll be too easy."
"I'm almost certain Pikachu flew off in this general direction," Cilan said.
"So am I. This is the only other town that is close enough to Nimbasa City," Terra said.
"Well, we're going have to search everywhere to find him," Kairi said.
"Axew," Axew said. Angel sniffed around for Pikachu's scent.
"Angel seems to be really upset as Sora is," Iris said.
"She should be since Pikachu and Angel were sweethearts since Hoenn," Meowth said.
"That's right. Kairi had Angel since after the Fallarbor Contest," Terra said. Angel sniffed around and eventually found Pikachu's scent.
"Vee!" Angel said.
"You found him, Angel?" Kairi asked.
"Eevee!" Angel nodded.
"Great! Lead the way, please!" Kairi said.
Angel led the rest of the group to find Pikachu.
"Angel, wait up!" Iris said.
"Love waits for no one, Iris," Cialn said.
"So, we can't afford to slow down!" Kairi said.
Over to Mick and Pikachu, they talk it out, even though the conversation is kind of one-sided in Mick's case.
"So, you're not a pre-evolved form of Zekrom, you're really a Pikachu. And you're from Kanto?" Mick asked.
"Pikachu!" Pikachu said, nodding.
"Did you get caught? Are you wild? Hey, it doesn't matter to me. Besides Thunderbolt, do you know any other cool moves?" Mick asked.
"Pika?" Pikachu asked.
"Solar Beam? Flamethrower? Aqua Jet? Come on, please tell me!" Mick said.
"Pikachu knows Quick Attack, Iron Tail, and Thunder. And Pikachu can't use Solar Beam, Flamethrower, or Aqua Jet," a familiar voice spoke. Mick turned to see Sora and his friends. Pikachu happily ran up to Sora.
"Pika, Pika!" Pikachu said.
"Hey, buddy. Glad you're doing okay! Just wasn't expecting that wind!" Sora said. Angel stood, looking at Pikachu. "And here's a certain someone whose been worried about you." Pikachu came down form Sora's shoulder and embraces Angel. Mick was disappointed.
"So, Pikachu is yours?" Mick asked.
"Pikachu is my best friend. And I'm Sora," Sora introduced himself.
"I'm Kairi, and the Eevee with Pikachu is Angel," Kairi said.
"I'm Ventus, but everyone calls me Ven," Ventus said.
"I'm Terra."
"I'm Aqua."
"My name is Irs, and this is Axew," Iris introduced.
"Cilan's the name. Nice to meet you," Cilan said.
"I'm Mick. So, uh," Mick paused before he blurted out, "Can I please borrow your Pikachu?" This was sudden.
"Borrow my Pikachu?" Sora asked.
"I really want to have battle with Sean or Glenn, so I can beat 'em, just one time. You gotta help!" Mick said.
"Whoa, slow down there, Mick," Sora said.
"Is that why you've been asking abut Pikachu's moves?" Ventus asked.
"I think you should tell us what's been going on," Terra said.
"Okay, it's like this," Mick started.
Over to Glenn and Sean, they were having a battle. Glenn was using a Patrat while Sean was using Blitzle.
"Okay, let's go! Patrat! Tackle!" Glenn ordered.
"Quickly! Blitzle! Dodge it!" Sean called out. Blitzle dodged Patrat's Tackle. Glenn didn't like that.
"Hey, only a coward runs!" Glenn accused.
"But if we hadn't dodged it, then we would have lost!" Sean said.
"So what? When it comes to beating me, you can't!" Glenn said. Patrat and Blitzle looked at each other dumbfounded.
"Come on," Sean begged.
"Stop whining and watch me win!" Glenn said. He chuckled.
Back to Mick and the group.
"Glenn's starting things all the time. He's always saying, let's battle. Truth is, Glenn says whatever comes into his mind without thinking about anyne else," Mick said.
"And he's your friend? Sorry to break this to you, but that's not a friend, that's a bully," Ventus said.
"Even so, but aren't you still too young to be having Pokémon and having battles? It doesn't make any sense," Iris said.
"Even though they aren't real battles, they can still have battles and have fun," Cilan said. He turned to Mick. "Am I right?"
"Yeah, you are!" Mick said.
(Flashback)
Earlier that that, Sean came in with two Pokéballs in hand.
"I borrowed my dad's Pokémon! It's Blitzle and Patrat! Aren't they awesome?" Sean asked. Glenn jumped off and took one.
"Yeah, well, Patrat's mine!" Glenn said.
"Wait, those are my dad's!" Sean said.
"Here, Blitzle's yours!" Glenn said.
"Hey, I want one, too!" Mick said.
"No way! These are way too valuable!" Sean said.
"Yeah, if you want to battle, then go and get your own!" Glenn said, pushing Mick.
"Okay, I'll and go and find an ultra rare Pokémon, you won't believe it, and I'll show you!" Mick said, taking off. We come to the point of entry when Mick found Pikachu. "What am I going to do since I don't have my own Pokémon?" And you know what heppens here. Pikachu fell into his arms and lts out his electricity.
"So, that's why," Ventus said.
"Yeah, and I thought maybe, I had Pikachu with me, I could beat those guys," Mick said.
"Hey, Sora, I think you should let him do it," Ventus said. Sora looked right at his cousin.
"You sure, Ven?" Sora asked.
"Yeah. He should stand up to those guys and get some hands on experience," Ventus said.
"I still don't know," Sora said.
"Come on, Sora, I just wanna help him out. Didn't you say that you don't need to help someone?" Ventus asked, reminding his cousin. He smiled.
"Okay, okay, I guess you've got me there. And your dad did always say that you'll make a great a trainer as me when you're old enough, and this will be some learning experience for you as well," Sora said, rubbing his head.
"Cool!" Mick said.
"You do know that you have to get to know your partner don't you, Ven?" Sora asked his cousin.
"I sure do, Sora. How about I borrow one of yours, too. Maybe Trubbish," Ventus suggested.
"Okay, Sora said, letting out Trubbish. The trash bag Pokémon came on from his Pokémon. "Trubbish, you be sure you do what Ven tells you, okay?"
"Trubbish," Trubbish nodded.
Ventus and Mick got into position.
"Okay, Pikachu can use Thunderbolt and Quick Attack. What other moves are there?" Mick asked.
"Iron Tail and Thunder. You can do it," Meowth said.
"Axew!" Axew said.
"Thanks," Mick said.
"I'm ready when you are, Mick!" Ventus said.
"Right! Let's start out with a Thunderbolt!" Mick ordered. Pikachu unleashed Thunderbolt right at the trash bag Pokémon.
"Trubbish! Dodge and use Sludge!" Ventus ordered. Trubbish dodges and fires Sludge right at Pikachu. The Sludge comes right at Pikachu. the mouse Pokémon dodges the sludge.
"That was close," Mick said.
"You'll have to tell Pikachu to dodge. There are moves that can cause stauts effects. For example, Sludge has a chance of poisoning Pikachu when Sludge hits its mark," Cilan said.
"Right!" Mick said.
"Trubbish! Come at Pikachu with Pound!" Ventus ordered. Trubbish came right at Pikachu.
"Oh, what to do next?" Mick asked. Pikachu swings his tail. "Oh, right! Iron Tail!" Pikachu jumps and swings his tail right at Trubbish.
"Dodge and use Poison Gas!" Ventus ordered. Trubbish lets out a black smoke from his mouth. Pikachu jumps back as he held his breath, not breathing in the gas. It hides Trubbish inside it.
"Poison Gas? What does that do?" Mick asked.
"Poison Gas is a non-damagin move that can poison an opponent when it hits. But sometimes Pokémon can use these to hide!" Iris said.
"Is it just me or does Ven to be pretty good?" Aqua asked.
"Well, after wathcing Sora battle for so long, it's no wonder. He really is Sora's cousin. I wouldn't be surprised if his mom was videotaping the battle right now," Terra said. "Especially when he took on that Stunfisk."
"Tell Pikachu to use a move!" Iris said.
"Right! Iron Tail!" Mick ordered. Piakchu swings his tail and it hits something. The gas clears and reveals Pikachu has struck Trubbish while holding his breath. "Yeah, I finally got a hit!"
"It's not over!" Ventus said. "Trubbish! Use Sludge!" Trubbish fires Sludge right at Piakchu.
"Dodge that!" Mick called out. Piakchu dodges Trubbish's Sludge.
Back to Glenn and Sean, both of Patrat and Blitzle were down and out. Glenn laughed.
"And the Glennster wins big time!" Glenn said. Sean calls back Patrat an Blitzle.
"They're both pretty worn-out. My dad is going to be really mad at me," Sean said.
"Mick's late. What's that kid doing anyway?" Glenn asked.
"I don't think he's coming. I can bet that his story about that Pikachu's a fake!" Sean said.
"Then, I'll drag hm here, myself. I'm battling Piakchu no matter what," Glenn said.
"You wanna battle again?" Sean asked.
"Duh, of course I do! Sean, go borrow more Pokémon from your dad!" Glenn said.
"More Pokémon?" Sean asked.
"Yeah! Bring back some stronger and tougher ones this time!" Glenn said.
"But that's impossible!" Sean tried to reason.
"Excuse me?" Glenn asked, not liking his tone. Sean was scared of him. "You got a problem with that?"
"Um, no. I was just kidding!" Sean said.
"Good. Meanwhile, I'll find Mick," Glenn said.
Back to the battle between Ventus and Mick.
"Pikachu! Quick Attack!" Mick ordered.
"Trubbish! Pound!" Ventus ordered. Trubbish swings his arm right at Pikachu and they both land a hit onto each other. Cilan stepped in.
"And this battle's over! Good work!" Cilan said. He turned to Ventus. "That was fantastic, Ven. You will make a fine trainer like Sora one day." He turned to Mick. "And as for you, Mick, you improved a lot. It will take some time to mature, but I know you'll make a wonderful trainer."
"He's not wrong. Just keep it up," Sora said. Mick beamed.
"Really?" Mick asked.
"A Pokémon Connisseur never makes a wrong evaluation," Cilan said.
"Take his word for it, Mick. Cilan is one of the Striaton City Gym Leaders," Iris said.
"Also, Kairi is a Pokémon Coordinator, and Sora is a Pokémon League Champion," Ventus said.
"Wow! That's cool!" Mick said.
"It takes lots of hard work and training to get to the top. That's something we all know very much. And I know you'll work hard at it," Sora said.
"I'll do exactly that and travel all over the world and catch lots of Pokémon, and make them all my friends!" Mick said.
"That's the spirit, Mick," Sora said, smiling.
"Aha! There you are!" Glenn called out. The group all turned to see him.
"Glenn!" Mick said.
"And what are you doing here?" Glenn asked, walking up to Mick. He took a sec to notice the group. "And who are these guys?"
"Glenn, wasn't it? I'm Sora, and I'm this Pikachu's trainer," Sora said. Glenn turned to Ventus.
"Hey, how about we have a Pokémon battle, huh?" Glenn challenged Ventus.
"Me?" Ventus asked.
"Yeah, you don't seem to have a Pokémon of your own, so I'm going to challenge you into one! And after I whoop you, I'll have one with Mick!" Glenn said. Aqua didn't like his attitude.
"Now, see here you little-" Aqua said, beofre she was cut off.
"No, Aqua. I'll accept," Ventus said.
"I had a feeling you were going to do that, Ven. It seems you're anxious to learn some more," Sora said. Aqua went up to Sora.
"You can't be serious, Sora!" Aqua said.
"I am. I think Ven can learn some more," Sora said.
The group went with the kids in their hangout spot with Sean, bring in two more Pokéballs.
"I asked my dad and he let me borrow two more Pokémon," Sean said, letting out a Scolipede and a Seismitoad.
"A Scolipede and a Seismitoad?" Kairi asked.
"Eevee?" Angel added.
"You got some serious Pokémon! I'll use both!" Glenn said.
"That's not fair! Then, it's two against one!" Sean said.
"So, let's have a double battle!" Glenn said. He turned to Ventus. "That cool?"
"I guess I can go with Pikachu and Krokorok!" Ventus said, letting out Krokorok. He looked right at Sora and Ventus, being dumbfounded.
"Krokorok, be sure you do what Ven tells you, okay?" Sora asked. Krokorok nodded.
"Sora, why would you agree to this?" Terra asked.
"I wanted Ven to have some learning experience when it came to Pokémon battles, so I figured a double battle is perfect. Besides, I don't want him to think that people will only know Ven as my kid cousin, but as Ventus, the Pokémon trainer, his own trainer," Sora explained.
"I'd call that a very good reason. Ven will have to learn at some point," Terra said.
"I'll serve as referee if you don't mind," Cilan said.
"Great!" Mick said.
"Oh boy! It'll be like a real battle!" Glenn said.
"Normally it will be over when either one side's Pokémon is unable to continue battling, but we're not going to be doing that. As referee I'll be the one who decides the winner," Cilan said. Ventus, Glenn, and Sean agreed. "And begin!"
"Pikachu! Thunderbolt on Scolipede!" Ventus ordered. Pikachu fires Thunderbolt right at Scolipede.
"It's out turn to attack!" Glenn said.
"No wait! We'll block it instead!" Sean said. "Seismitoad! Get in front of Scolipede!" Seismitoad gets in front of Scolipede and takes the hit.
"What just happened?" Glenn asked.
"Seismitoad might be a Water Type, but it's also a Ground Type, so Electric Type moves won't have any effect on a Ground Type!" Sean said.
"Really?" Mick asked.
"That's exactly right. Krokorok is also a Ground Type Pokémon, so it's the same case if Pikachu lands a hit with an Electric Type attack," Kairi said.
"Sounds like gibberish! Who cares, it's my turn! Scolipede! Use Poison Tail on Pikachu!" Glenn ordered, Scolipede moves in to give Poison Tail to the mouse Pokémon.
"Krokorok! Stone Edge!" Ventus ordered. Krokorok sends out Stone Edge right at the megapede Pokémon.
"Scolipede! Dodge it!" Glenn called out. Scolipede dodges Krokorok's Stone Edge.
"You didn't have to dodge! You could have used Protect!" Sean said.
"Shut up! Attack moves are all need!" Glenn yelled. Scolipede sighed.
"Pikachu! Use Thunder at Scolipede! Krokorok! Crunch on Seismitoad!" Ventus ordered.
"What a loser! Scolipede! Use Sludge Bomb on Pikachu! Seismitoad! Use Drain Punch on Krokorok!" Glenn ordered.
"But I already told you! You should have Seismitoad battle Pikachu!" Sean said.
"You shut up and don't tell me what to do!" Glenn yelled.
Pikachu unleashed Thunder right at Scolipede as Krokorok came at Seismitoad with Crunch. Scolipede unleashed Sludge Bomb as Seismitoad came at Krokorok with Drain Punch. Pikachu's Thunder overpowers Sludge Bomb and Krokorok's Bite overcomes Seismitoad's Drain Punch. Scolipede gets struck by Thunder as Seismitoad gets pushed back and alnds right on Scolipede. Cilan has made his decision.
"And that's it! The winner is Ventus!" Cialn announced.
"Way to go, Ven!" Sora praised his cousin.
"Thanks, Sora!" Ventus smiled. Glenn walked up to Ventus.
"Hey, I don't remember telling you can beat me!" Glenn said.
"Nobody told me I had to ask for permission to win, Glenn," Ventus said.
"You were supposed to lose to me, and that's it!" Glenn said.
"I don't know what your beef is with me, but all I did was my best to battle," Ventus said.
"That's what I mean!" Glenn said, about to punch Ventus, but Aqua was quick to act, by grabbing his fist. He looked up to her and he sees a stern look of disapproval on her face. She lets go of him and slaps him across the face.
"Don't you dare lay a hand on him just because you lost! Cilan made his decision, and that's that! Ven won because he used his better judgement!" Aqua scolded.
"But I just wanted to win," Glen said.
"That's no excuse for bullying your friends!" Aqua stated. "You are not really their friends if you go and think about yourself and not anyone else! That applies when you're on the battlefield!" Aqua lectured him.
"She's right!" Sean said. Glenn turned to him. "That's it! I don't wanna hang out with you anymore, Glenn!"
"But Sean," Glenn pleaded.
"My dad's Pokémon are hurt, and I don't know what to do!" Sean said. Kairi walked up to Sean with some Pokémon food.
"Try these. These are Pokémon food mixed with Sitrus Berries and healing herbs. They'll feel much better when they eat this," Kairi said. Glenn felt bad about he did as he let Aqua's scolding words sink in. He walked up to the food and takes it.
"Glenn?" Sean asked. Glenn fed the food to Scolipede and Seismitoad.
"I know I lost. But that sure was a lot of fun," Glenn said.
"And that's what should matter," Ventus said. "Pokémon battles aren't about winning or losing, it's about having fun. That's what I was trying to teach you guys, and I'm not even a trainer," Ventus said.
"Well said, Ven. You knew more than I originally thought. Your dad would be proud of you if he heard you say that. The same can be said about my dad if he was alive. He would be proud of you," Sora said. Ventus smiled. Glenn walked up to Ventus.
"Sorry for being a total jerk towards you, Ven. I was too caught up in winning, I was only thinking about mysef. Think we can start over?" Glenn asked. Ventus smiled.
"Sure thing, Glenn. I already forgave you when I saw you feed Scolipede and Sesmitoad," Ventus said. Glenn smiled. Ventus has made three new friends that day. "And if you three are ever in Kanto, we should hang out. Not for Pokémon battles, but just to hit the beach," Ventus said.
"Yeah, that'll be awesome!" Mick said.
"I always liked the beach!" Glenn said.
"Me too!" Sean said.
Aqua was happy to see that Glenn's attitude has improved. She did apologize for slapping him, because she was being protective of Ventus. Sora would have just stopped him. The group started to head for Nimbasa City.
"We'll be rooting for you in the Nimbasa Pokémon Contest, Kairi!" Mick said.
"Thank you. I know I'll have all of your support," Kairi said.
"We'll root for you all the way!" Glenn said.
"Because you're number one!" Sean said.
"I hope you don't go and bully anyone anymore," Aqua said.
"I learned my lesson. What Sean said to me was more of a slap than an actual one," Glenn said.
"It's good to know you've cleaned up your act," Aqua said.
With that said, they said their goodbyes to the three boys and took off for Nimbasa City. Kairi's Contest and Sora's Gym battle was coming right up! Stay tuned!
