Episode 443: The Power of Lovrina
After defeating Weevil Underwood and Rex Raptor, Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, andMeowth has arrived in Anville Town and started to chase after Lovrina. Unknown to them, a Klink came on out and started to follow the couple and the Pokémon.
Somewhere in Anville Town, a boy with brown hair and blue eyes is rolling a camera. With him is a Golett and a Zoura. He wore a gray shirt, and tan trousers with supsnders. He also wore brown shoes and white shocks. Lovrina zoomed past him with Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, and Meowth right behind her.
"Get back here!" Sora said.
"You'll have to catch up to me!" Lovrina said. She laughed as she took out a smoke bomb and tossed it. A cloud of black smoke erupted, covering her escape. Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, and Meowth had stopped. since they don't want to breathe in the smoke. The smoke cloud clears to see Lovrina gone.
"She's gone!" Sora said.
"Pikachu!" Pikachu said.
"She's playing with us," Meowth said.
"She shouldn't have gone far," Kairi said.
The boy and his two Pokémon went up to the couple.
"Excuse me!" The boy said. Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, and Meowth turned to see the boy and the two other Pokémon. "Are you alright?"
"Yeah. You seen a woman come by here?" Sora asked. The Zoura jumps and flips over to take shape of Lovrina.
"Did she look like this?" The boy asked.
"She does," Kairi said.
"I saw you chasing after her. She vanished though the smoke," the boy said. "I didn't see where she went."
"Man, we had her in our sights," Sora groaned. Kairi placed her hand on her boyfriend's shoulder.
"Don't worry, Sora. We'll get her," Kairi assured him. Sora smiled at her.
"Thanks, Kairi," Sora said. Sora turned to the boy. "Anyway, since we're here, my name's Sora and this is my girlfriend Kairi. And this is Pikachu, Meowth, and the Eevee is Angel, Kairi's Pokémon."
"Nice to meet you. My name's Luke, and these are my Pokémon, Golett and Zoura," Luke introduced.
"Good to meet ya," Meowth said. Luke's eyes widened.
"Wow! A talking Meowth! That is so amazing!" Luke said, taking out his video camera. He points it right at Meowth with a microphone. "Tell me, what's on your mind?"
"Uh..." Meowth paused.
"How did you learn how to talk?" Luke asked.
"Um, self taught?" Meowth answered with a question. Sora places his hand in front of the camera.
"Sorry to interuppt, but we have a much more important plan to get to, like stopping that woman," Sora said.
"Sorry. I get carried away. You think I can tag along with you? I think we have a much better shot if we work together," Luke said. "Just who is that woman you were chasing after?"
"That woman calls herself Lovrina. She's a member of an organization that we din't even know about until now," Sora said.
"The organization calls itself Team Shadow. We don't know much about them," Kairi said.
"Team Shadow, huh?" Luke asked.
Back at the Battle Subway, Cilan, Iris, Hilbert, Cheren, Bianca, and Burgundy continued their battle, and they have bested the Team Shadow Pokémon. The Team Shadow peons calls back their fallen Pokémon.
"You win this today, but we will have a chance to destroy you the next time," the first Team Shadow peon stated. They took off as soon as Elesa, Georgia, and Stephan has shown up.
"Where are Sora and Kairi?" Stephan asked.
"They were on the train," Iris said.
"Before we could step in, the doors shut and took off on its own," Hilbert said.
"The train they were on is bound for Anville Town. Lovrina was on it," Elesa said.
"We should get to them, posthaste," Cilan said.
"It won't be that simple since there is only one train and that goes to Anville Town," Ingo said. He and Emmet has shown up.
"So, what do we do?" Iris asked.
"We could just wait for them to come back over," Goergia said. Cheren suddenly remembered the Xtransceivers Sora has.
"We could just call them," Cheren said. Everyone all looked right at Cheren.
"What do you mean by calling them, Cherem?" Burgundy asked. Cheren holds up his Xtransceiver.
"This is what I mean," Cheren said,
"I forgot about those!" Hilbert said. "You always did think ahead!"
"I just thought of it, Hilbert," Cheren said. He makes contact with Sora on his Xtransceiver. "Sora, Kairi, respond if you can hear me!"
Over in Anville Town, Sora answers his Xtransceiver.
"Cheren! I hear you!" Sora said.
"Thank Zekrom. Sora, Kairi, what is your current situation?" Cheren asked.
"Kairi and I managed to beat those guys and get to Meowth. It turns out to be two guys we knew before. Weevil Underwood and Rex Raptor. They're working for Lovrina. And she's a member of the organization called Team Shadow," Sora explained.
"Team Shadow?" Iris, Georgia, Burgundy, and Stephan asked.
"So, that's what they call themselves," Cilan said.
"What about Lovrina? Did you get her?" Hilbert asked.
"She got away. She used a little vanishing act on us," Sora said.
"We have no idea where she is right now," Kairi added.
"But that's going to change," Sora said.
"What about your end? Anymore of those Team Shadow people?" Kairi asked.
"We took them down and they retreated," Elesa said.
"Naturally they never stood a chance," Georgia said.
"We'll bring you both back here," Emmet said.
"Hey, who is that?" Sora asked. Emmet and Ingo appeared on the screen of his Xtransceiver.
"Forgive me. I am Emmet and this is my twin brother Ingo," Emmet introduced.
"We operate the Battle Subway. Your friends rescued us and we want to say how grateful we are," Ingo said.
"Those scoundrels took control of our operations and everything," Emmet said.
"It's thanks to our beloved Gym Leader," Ingo added.
"Like we said, we'll bring you back here," Emmet said.
"Not yet. We still have Lovrina left to deal with. She's not going to get away with this," Sora said.
"You mean you're going to take her on?" Hilbert asked.
"She's the only one left to deal with," Sora said.
"We can deal with her; so until then, wait for us," Kairi said.
"If that is your decision, then we shall respect it," Cheren said.
"Just don't take too long," Bianca said.
"On it," Sora said, breaking contact.
With that settled, Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, Luke, and his Pokémon have set off to find Lovrina.
"Luke, you didn't have to come with us," Sora said.
"I want to help you out. Besides, she looks like the kind who doesn't play fair," Luke said.
"At this point, we can welcome any help we can get," Kairi said.
"I'm with her. We can be up for anything coming right at us," Meowth said.
Over to Lovrina, two Team Shadow peons came by jetpack. One of the Team Shadow peons is buffed. Lovrina grinned.
"Good of you to show up, Naps," Lovrina said.
"Anything to help out my sister," Naps said. The buffed Team Shadow peon spoke up.
"Putting family tides to the side, you called us here for a reason," Exol said.
"Yes I did. Weevil and Rex failed to defeat them and now they're out looking for me. So, how about you two make yourselves useful and make sure they find me, since I would like to finish one of them off myself," Lovrina said.
"You can count on me, sis," Naps said.
"I know I can," Lovrina said.
Meanwhile, Golbez and Sephiroth are watching the events of the battles in the Battle Subway.
"It looks like our forces has failed again," Spehiroth said.
"Sora has proven to be too much for those two. I never would have thought that their target for revenge was Sora himself," Golbez said.
"Neither have I. I'm not exactly sure why Master Mateus bothered to allow them to enter," Sephiroth said.
"Some things cannot be explained by reason. It is not our place to question his decisions," Golbez said.
"No, it is not," Sephiroth said.
"elsewhere in the PHOP HQ, Roxky Beams his playing on his harmonica since it helps him think. In his room there are a bunch of photos being in a single web with Mateus in the center.
"What could Team Shadow be up to? What, what, what?" Rocky asked. Just then, a young man long silver hair and violet eyes entered inside.
"Rocky, you in here?" The young man asked.
"In here, Luneth," Rocky said. Luneth looked right at the photos. "How do you like my web, Luneth?"
"You've been pretty busy as a Spinarak spinning that web," Luneth said.
"I managed to study the patterns, along with the hiring of Pokémon Hunter J in the Snowpoint Temple, and the other crimes connected to Team Shadow," Rocky said.
"You've been been busy lately," Luneth said.
"Well, I have been doing this on my spare time. The same with Sora Ketchum," Rocky said.
"You mean the Champ? How is it that he has the power of Aura just like that Sir Arron guy?" Luneth asked.
"You remember the story of how he defeated the evil emperor of an evil empire don't you?" Rocky asked.
"Not the empire again," Luneth goraned.
"I'm just saying. Don't you find it a taad odd that everyone knows the tale and yet no one can remember the name of the evil empire? The empire of Palamecia?" Rocky asked.
"Don't tell me that you actually believe that myth! There was no such thing as Palamecia!" Luneth said.
"There was. The reason is that there aren't any records of its existence is because all evidence of its existence were all destroyed. The people wanted to forget that it ever existed. If you lived in those old times, wouldn't you want to forget it, too?" Rocky asked. Luneth rolled his eyes.
"You got a point, Rock. But what does that prove?" Luneth asked.
"Not a thing I can admit. But myths can turn out to be truthes," Rocky said. Luneth looked right at him with concern. Appearing in Rocky's room is a small, white creature resembling a plush toy, with large, spherical heads, small ears sprouting out of the side of its head, and stubby hand and feet that lack distinct digits. Its eyes are narrowed into brown slits, and its noses is bulbous and pink. The creature also sport tiny, purple wings like those of a bat on its back and, perhaps its most distinctive traits, large, red, spherical "pom-poms" on attached to the top of its head by a thin, brown antenna. Rocky turned and he smiled. "Hello again, Mog. I know what you want." Rocky said, taking out a large purple nut.
"Kupo!" The creature cheered, eating it.
"Enjoy every bite, buddy," Rocky said.
"I think I took up too much of your precious time," Luneth said, taking his leave.
Back in Anville Town, Naps and Exol walked down the streets of Anville Town. Naps and Exol appeared before Sora, Kairi, Luke, and the Pokémon.
"Team Shadow," Sora said.
"So, you know us," Naps said.
"Big deal. We came here to tell you that she is waiting for you in the park. Just don't keep her waiting," Exol said.
"We don't plan on doing it," Sora said. Naps and Exol led Sora, Kairi, Luke, and the Pokémon foloowed them. They eventually reached the park with Lovrina stepped forward. Klink followed the group towards the park.
"Hey there, Sora. I was beginning to think that you gave up on little ol me," Lovrina said.
"You should know that I don't give up," Sora said.
"Glad you didn't. Now we can put an end to this once and for all," Lovrina said. "Now how about we battle?"
"All you had to do is ask," Sora stated. Naps and Exol each took out a Pokéball. They threw theirs.
"Go! Teddiursa! Rhyhorn!" Naps called out.
"Go! Mawile! Raichu!" Exol said.
"You afraid to battle us yourself, Lovrina?" Sora asked.
"My sister isn't afraid of anythig!" Naps said.
"Sister?" Kairi asked.
"You heard right, girl. Naps here is my brother. I have a good plan. Naps, Exol, you two handle the boys. The girl is mine," Lovrina said.
"You got it, ma'am," Exol said. Sora took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Krokorok and Tirtouga!" Sora called out. Krokorok came on out to battle. He adjusts his sunglasses. Luke turned to Zoura.
"Go! Golett and Zoura!" Luke said.
Gollet and Zoura nodded and stepped right in. Kairi stared right at Lovrina with a determined expression as Lovrina prepared herself.
"Are you ready to lose?" Lovrina asked.
"Never to the likes of you," Kairi said. Lovrina took out two Pokéballs and threw them.
"Go! Delcatty and Altaria!" Lovrina called out. Klink has finally caught up to the group and watched on. Kairi took out two Pokéballs and threw them.
"Go! Purrloin and Emolga!" Kairi called out.
"Mawile! Fairy Wind on Zoura! Raichu! Shock Wave on Tirtouga!" Exol ordered.
"Teddiursa! Use Shadow Claw on Gollet! Rhyhorn! Drill Run on Krokorok!" Naps ordered.
Mawile blew Fairy Wind from its top mouth as Raichu fires Shock Wave right at Tirtouga Teddiursa comes at Golett with Shadow claw as Rhyhorn comes at Krokorok with Drill Run.
"Tirtouga! Use Protect!" Sora ordered. Krorkorok! Get behind Tirtouga!"
"Gollet! Use Double Team! Zoura! Use Shadow Ball on Rhyhorn!" Luke ordered.
"Krokorok gets behind the prototurtle Pokémon as soon as he sets up his protective barrier. Gollet makes several copies of itself as Zoura fires Shadow Ball right at Raichu, landing a hit.
"Nice one, Luke!" Sora complimented.
"Thanks, Sora!" Luke said.
"You got lucky!" Exol said.
"Altaria! Use Dragon Rush on that Emolga! Delcatty! Double-Edge on Purrloin!" Lovrina ordered. Altaria flew right at Emolga with Dragon Rush as Delcatty charges right at Purrloin with Double-Edge. Purrloin and Emolga are both struck hard.
"Purrloin! Feint Attack on Delcatty! Emolga! Use Electro Ball on Altaria!" Kairi ordered. Purrloin vanishes for a moment and lands a hit onto Delcatty as Emolga forms a ball of electricity and hurls it right at Altaria.
"Block it with your Dazzling Gleam!" Lovrina ordered. Altaria blocks with Dazzling Gleam. "Delcatty! Feint Attack on Emolga! Altaria! Use Dragon Rush on Emolga as well!" Delcatty and Altaria both heads towards the flying squirrel Pokémon and lands a hit onto her.
"Emolga, don't think about using Attract, because they're both girls!" Kairi said.
"You're right to say that because you are right, they are both girls. I don't know how you can tell which sex it turns out, it won't matter because I'm going to crush you like a grape," Lovrina said. "She gave a sadistic grin. "Delcatty! Use Feint Attack on Purrloin! Altaria! Dragon Rush on Emolga!" Delcatty uses Feint Attack on Purrloin as Altaria uses Dragon Rush on Emolga.
"Purrloin! Feint Attack on Delcatty! Emolga! Acrobatics on Altaria!" Kairi ordered. PUrrloin and Amolga to land a hit onto Delcatty and Altaria, but both ended up to be batted away by their opponents.
"Krokorok! Stone Edge!" Sora ordered. Krokorok unleashes Stone Edge right at Teddiursa and Raichu. Mawile got in fron t of them both and opened its second mouth. Mawile takes the stones into its mouth and then spits the stones right right Krokorok.
"Nice one, Exol!" Naps said.
"It's not over yet!" Exol said.
"Golett! Mega Punch on that Teddiursa!" Luke ordered. Golett went right towards Teddiursa to land a punch.
"Teddiursa! Lick!" Naps ordered. Teddiursa went right up to Golett and licked the golem-like Pokémon. "Now, use Shadow Claw!" Teddiursa slashes at Golett with Shadow Claw.
"Zoura! Use Night Daze!" Luke ordered. Zoura came at Teddiursa and uses Night Daze right on Teddiursa. Naps growled in anger.
"You won't get away with that! Rhyhorn! Use Drill Run on that Zoura!" Naps ordered. Rhyhorn charges right at the tricky fox Pokémon.
"Tirtouga! Water Gun!" Sora ordered. Tirtouga fires Water Gun right at Rhyhorn, taking advantage to its weakness to water. "Okay, Krokorok! Use Shadow Claw!" Krokorok came right at Rhyhorn with Shadow Claw and lands a hit onto Rhyhorn. Klink was amazed by the way Sora has handled Krokorok, so it wondered if it could just as strong as Krokorok.
"Delcatty! Feint Attack again! Altaria! Dazzling Gleam!" Lovrina ordered. Delcatty and Altaria unleashed their attacks right at Kairi's two Pokémon. Purrloin has taken some heavy damage due to her weakness to Fairy Type attacks as Emolga has taken a bad hit from Delcatty's Feint Attack. Lovrina laughed. "You don't stand a chance against me, girl! Let's face it! You're not as good a Coordinator as people say you are!"
"You don't know her as well as you think!" Sora sated. Lovrina looked right at Sora.
"What do you know?" Lovrina asked.
"More about her than you can ever imagine! Kairi is the best Pokémon Coordinatror that I have ever known! She's brave, she never backs down! She'll never back down from the likes of you!" Sora said. Kairi was moved by Sora's words.
"Sora..." Kairi could only say.
"She's much stronger than you think! And she's even stronger than you!" Sora said. Lovrina just laughed.
"Her stronger than me? That's a lugh!" Lovrina said, laughing some more.
"He's right. Sora is the reason I'm the Pokémon Coordinator I am today. I owe my strength all to him. And I have to live up to the gift I was given," Kairi said in her thoughts.
"You still think you can win against me?" Lovrina asked.
"I don't think I can win against you! I know I can! And I will! I cannot afford to lose to the likes of you or to your friends in Team Shadow!" Kairi said. "Purrloin! Emolga!" Purrloin and Emolga both stood up and they refused to stay down for anything. "Hone Claws and then Night Slash! Electro Ball!" Purrloin's claws sharpen as Purrloin then came right at Delcatty. Emolga hurls an Electro Ball and it struck Altaria. Altaria struggled to get back up, but fell back down. Altaria had been beaten by the sky squirrel Pokémon.
"Stop that Purrloin now!" Lovrina called out. Delcatty came right at Purrloin as she swiped her claws right at Delcatty landing hit onto her. Sora turned to Luke.
"Luke, let's do our best aginst these guys here and now!" Sora said.
"Got it!" Luke agreed. Naps and Exol both took out some more Pokéballs and threw them.
"Go! Naps and Exol called out. Out of the Pokéballs came a Slakoth, a Beldum, a Murkrow, a Loudred, and a Girafarig. This Girafarig has more yellow on its body.
"Snuff them all out!" Exol said.
All of the Team Shadow Pokémon charged right at Krokorok, Tirtouga, Golett,and Zoura when suddenly, severl gears came and struck them all. Sora was confused by what had happned.
"Where did those gears come from?" Sora asked. Klink has appeared before Sora. "A Klink?"
"Klink," the Klink said. Exol growled in anger.
"Why you little metal bastard!" Exol grolwed. Klink fires Flash Cannon right at the Team Shadow Pokémon, taking them all down. Naps and Exol grolwed in anger. They call back their Pokémon.
"Purrloin! Night Slash!" Kairi ordered. Purrloin swipes her claws right at Delcatty, landing some damage to the cat-like Pokémon.
"Get back up Delcatty!" Lovrina said. Delcatty struggled to get back up on her feet. "Now, use Feint Attack!"
"Purrloin! You use Feint Attack, too!" Kairi ordered. Both feline Pokémon vanish and then reappear, landing a hit onto one another. They both stood for a moment before Purrloin fell on one knee. Delcatty fell to her side. Delcatty was beaten. Lovrina calls back her fallen Delcatty and Altaria. Lovrina glared right at Kairi.
"Okay, I might have underestimated you, Kairi, but that's a mistake I won't make the next time!" Lovrina said. She activated her jetpaks along with Naps and Exol. The three Team Shadow members took off. "You haven't seen the last of Team Shadow, this I pormise you!" Both of Sora and Kairi knew she was right, they haven't seen the last of Team Shadow. They knew it was only a matter of time before they cross paths with them again.
Elsewhere, Lovrina, Naps, and Exol made it back to a secret place with Kuja waiting for them.
"I take it that you have failed your objective, Lovrina," Kuja said.
"Don't you laugh, Kuja! I just got careless with them, that's all!" Lovrina said.
"We'll try again with them another time," Kuja said.
Back in Anville Town, Kilnk floats right towards Sora.
"Thanks for the save, Klink. I had no idea where you came from, but it was a good thing that you shown up when you did," Sora said.
"Klink, Klink, Klink, Klink," Klink," the Klink said.
"Klink is saying that it was amazed by the way you battled those guys, so it wants to come along with you to be strong just like Krokorok," Meowth translated. Sora looked right at the gear Pokémon and he smiled.
"You're more than welcome to come along, Kilnk. Any Pokémon that's just as brave as you will always be welcome to be with me," Sora said, taking out a Pokéball. He held it in front of Klink as it flows inside. The Pokéball wobbles around. Stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch. Sora's Pokémon Box goes off asking him if he wants to keep Klink with him. He chose to keep Klink in exchange for Tirtouga. "Welcome to the team, Klink." Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, and Meowth got ready to head for the train station to hed back to Nimbasa City. Luke, Golett, and Zoura comes with them.
"You sure you wanna come with us to Nimbasa City, Luke?" Kairi asked.
"Yeah. There's not much going on in Anville Town, and I could use some ore excitement after the one I had today dealing with those guys," Luke said. Kairi took Sora by the arm.
"Sora, you don't mind if we talk alone for a moment, do you?" Kairi asked.
"No, I don't mind, Kairi," Sora said.
The couple went to another cat on the train to talk.
"Sora, did you mean what you said about me being brave?" Kairi said.
"Of course I did. I have seen how brave you are. You're brave just as you are beautiful," Sora said, making Kairi blush.
"Thank you, Sora. I appreciate it very much. And I appreciate you very much," Kairi said.
"I appreciate you, too," Sora said. Sora and Kairi moved in to give each other a loving and passionate kiss to another. The train made it back to Nimbasa City with Cilan, Iris, Elesa, Hilbert, Cheren, Bianca, Georgia, Burgundy, Stephan, and Axew waiting for them.
"Sora, Kairi thank goodness you're both safe," Bianca said.
"What of Lovrina?" Elesa asked.
"She and some a couple of Team Shadow goons got away, but we haven't seen the last of them," Sora said.
"I don't doubt it. If they strike again, then we'll be ready for them," Cilan said.
"I was thinking the same thing, Cilan," Sora said. "Anyway, let's all head back to the Pokémon Center. Ven, Terra, and Aqua are probably waiting for us by now."
"I second that," Cilan said. Elesa smiled.
"Well, Sora, I am looking forward in seeing you how well you battle when we go at it. The same for the rest of you, collecting Gym Badges," Elesa said.
"Thanks, Elesa," Stephan said.
"But who's going to battle her first?" Iris asked.
"That is a good question," Cilan said.
"Don't worry about that, Iris, because I have just the way to settle it. We'll draw straws," Sora said, taking out some straws; most of the straws are blue and only one of them is red. He places them in a cup, and mixes them all up. "Okay, whoever gets the one with the red tip, gets to go first. And here we go." Sora, Hilbert, Cheren, Bianca, Stephan, Burgundy, and Georgia draw the straws. Luck of the draw is Sora. "I'll have you all know that even I am surprised by the results."
"But all the same, you're going first," Cilan said.
Now that Team Shadow has been defeated for now, the most important step is Kairi's Contest, and Sora's Gym battle. How well will they do? Just you wait and see when we have a new chapter put up.
