Episode 445: Nimbasa Club Battle Tournament Round 1
A little while after Sora has won his fifth Gym Badge from Elesa, he has Palpitoad, Krokorok, and Golett healed up, and then sent them over for Snivy, Tepig, and Oshawott. Kairi has sent Emolga and Audino, for Petilil and Deerling. The couple went on for a date to celebrate their own success. Iris sat on a bed while Meowth was sleeping while wearing a sleeping mask. Snivy, Tepig, Oshawott, Archen, Klink, Purrloin, Cottonee, Deerling, Petilil, and Minncino were eating.
"So, where are those two heading?" Iris asked.
"Just out for a date. Cilan recommended a place for the two of them," Terra said.
"It must be nice," Iris said. "Say, don't you and Aqua go on dates as well?"
"Yeah, but only if we're not watching Ven. Speaking of which, where is Ven?" Terra asked.
"Cilan took Ven with him. He said there is something there that he knows Ventus will enjoy," Iris said.
"And what did Aqua have to say?" Terra asked.
"She went with them," Iris said. She looked over to Angel and Axew as she is feeding Axew some berries. Iris smiled warmly as she sees Angel being so motherly to the tusk Pokémon. Iris could tell that she loved Axew dearly. Pikachu came in with a wreath of flowers for her.
"I have a little something for my favorite lady: you." - Pikachu subtitle. Angel cooed.
"Pikachu, that is sweet!" - Angel subtitle. Pikachu took a glance to Pansage and he winked at the mouse Pokémon. He winked back at the grass monkey Pokémon.
Over to Ventus, Aqua, and Cilan, they made it to the place Cilan was telling them about.
"And here we are!" Cilan said.
"So, what is it about?" Ventus asked.
"Oh, you will see," Cilan said. They entered the place to see a bunch of kids around Ventus's age.
"What is this?" Aqua asked.
"Just a little something I know Ven will enjoy. Ever since he had his first taste of a Pokémon battle for real, I figured he would enjoy some more of the taste for battle and savor it," Cilan said.
"This is great! Thanks a lot, Cilan said.
"You are welcome, Ven," Cilan said. Ventus got in line to sign up for the junior trainer's battle. A man in a suit approached the kids.
"Hey there, kids. Are you anxious to find out what it'll be like to be in actual Pokémon battle?" The man asked.
"Yes!" The kids all said.
"That's what I wanted to hear! Now, each and everyone of you will have a Pokéball. Inside is the Pokémon each of you will be using. They all have been trained to obey your orders," the man said, handing the kids each a Pokéball. Ventus wondered what kind of Pokémon was inside of it. "Now, who would like to volunteer to have their first battle?" All of the kids raised their hands. He looked among the kids and he points to Ventus. "How about you?" Ventus went up to the man. "What's your name, kid?"
"Ventus," Ventus said.
"Okay, Ventus. You ready to go?" The man asked.
"Oh yes, I am!" Ventus said. The man laughed.
"I like your spirit, kid," the man said. He searches among the kids and he points to a little girl. "Okay, you." The girl went up to him. The girl wore a pink dress and she has black hair. "What's your name, sweetheart?"
"I'm Angelica," the girl replied.
"Okay, Angelica, Ventus, are you ready to go?" The man asked.
"You bet," Ventus said.
"I'm game!" Angelica said.
"That's the spirit! Now, let's get started!" The man said. Ventus and Angelica went ot he battlefield in the middle. "This will not be an official battle, so it will be a one-on-one battle! The battle shall be over when either Pokémon is unable to battle! Now, let's get started!" Ventus threw the Pokéball and out came a Rufflet. Angelica's Pokémon has turned out to be a Drilbur. "And begin! Ventus has the first move!"
"Rufflet! Use Peck!" Ventus ordered. Rufflet came at Drilbur with Peck.
"Dodge and use Scratch!" Angelica ordered. Drilbur avoids Rufflet's Peck and came right at the eaglet Pokémon with its claw ready.
"Rufflet! Wing Attack!" Ventus ordered. Rufflet flew right at Drilbur and lands a hit.
"Way to go, Ven!" Aqua cheered.
"Use Peck on Drilbur!" Ventus ordered. Rufflet pecks onto the mole Pokémon repeatedly.
"Drilbur! Use Scratch!" Angelica ordered.
"Rufflet! Use Steel Wing!" Ventus ordered. Rufflet flies right at the mole Pokémon with Steel Wing and lands a hit onto Drilbur, knocking it out.
"Drilbur is unable to battle! Rufflet wins! Ventus is the winner!" The man announced. Ventus smiled as Angelica pouted.
"That was a tasteful battle, Ven!" Cilan said. "Such a combination of flavors with a delicious result!" Ventus smiled as he gave a thumbs up.
Over to Sora and Kairi, the couple went to a place and they went to see a movie. Unknown to them, Luke was videotaping their date, hoping to make a romance movie.
"I'm sure to score big on the box-office!" Luke said.
A few days came and went as Hilbert, Bianca, Trip, Georgia, Stephan, and Burgundy each had their battles with Elesa and won. Bianca had the most difficult time with her, but her hard work has paid off.
Cheren decided not to participate in the tournament since he had been called by Professor Juniper for reason.
On the day of the tournament, Sora has registered for the tournament. Iris and Cilan decided to get in on it. Before long, Riku, Hilbert, Cheren, Bianca, Burgundy, Trip, Stephan, and Georgia registered had registered. Nate, Hugh, and two more trainers have registered for the tournament. One of them has reddish-orange hair with thick eyebrows. He wore a gray jacket, greenish-gray pants, a black choker, black boots, a black shirt, black wristbands, and a white belt. The second trainer to show up is the boy from before.
The crowd starts cheering as the sixteen trainers has entered the tournament. Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Naminé, Azurill, and Meowth sat among the crowd. Beatrice and A man with dark blue eyes and black hair has entered, taking his place as announcer. With him is Don George.
"You're watching Nimbasa TV! Welcome! I'm your host Freddy 'The Scoop' O'Martian! Welcome! So, let's start the festivities! To get things rolling, here's Don George, from the Pokémon Battle Club, sponsors of today's events!" Freddy O'Martian announced as Don George sppoke in the microphone.
"Thank you! As Freddy mentioned, I'm Don George! Today's tournament winner will increase the basic power of thier Pokémon by leaps and bounds as they each receive a beautiful and extremely rare seven feather top-class Wing Set; containing Health, Muscle, Resist, Genius, Clever, Swift, and Pretty Wings! Best of luck to all of today's competitors!" Don George announced as seven white feathers are on display. Six of them has a different colored spot on the feathers. The colors for each one are red, blue, green, yellow, green, purple, and turquoise.
"I want one!" Bianca said.
"Yeah, bring it on!" Stephan added.
Don George cleared his throat.
"And and now on behalf of Nimbasa City as Don George of the Pokémon Battle Club, it is my distinct privilege to get things rolling with that old familair phrase, let the Club Battle begin!" Don George announced. The crowd starts cheering hard for the tournement has officially begun.
"Okay, ladies and gentlemen, take a good look on the big battle screen, because we're ready to reveal our Club Battle first round matchups! And the first battle will be, Georgia versus Sylvester!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"I'm so ready for this!" Sylvester said. Georgia turned to Iris.
"Hey, Iris the little kid!" Georgia taunted.
"At least this little kid has impressive hair!" Iris yelled. Iris and Georgia glare at each other with sparks flying at each other.
"You just make sure you don't lose too soon. I want the joy of beating you myslef," Georgia said.
'"Fat chance!" Iris said.
"Iris, you do realize she's battling him, don't you?" Sora asked.
"The second battle will be Dino versus Hugh! And the third battle will be Hilbert versus Nate! Battle number four will be Burgundy versus Riku! The fifth battle will be between Trip and Cilan! The sixth battle will be Stephan versus Bianca! The seventh battle will be Luke versus Vivi! And the eighth battle will be Iris versus Sora!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"This will be easy," Dino said.
"Don't be so sure," Hugh said.
"Best of luck to you, Nate," Hilbert said.
"You too, Hilbert," Nate said.
"Battling Riku will be like drinking plain setzer water. The one I wanna battle against is Cilan for all he has done to me," Burgundy said.
"You have to get pass me first, Burgundy," Riku said.
"It looks like it's me who will be battling Trip," Cilan said.
"Fine with me. Battling a Gym Leader is all the challenge I need," Trip said.
"Best of luck to you, Stephen," Bianca said.
"It's Stephan, but whatever," Stephan said. Luke has his camera fixed on his opponent.
"What are you doing?" Vivi asked.
"Just making a documentary for the tournament," Luke said.
"I'm up aganst Sora in the first round," Iris said, turning to Sora.
"Don't hold anything back when we get it on," Sora said.
"Wouldn't dream of it," Iris said. The shook hands, promising each other a good battle.
"So, let me hand othe play-by-play to Don George!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Wait, I'm the head of the Pokémon Battle Club, and your the sports anchor, do it's yours!" Don George said.
"Alright the pleasure's all mine! Begin the battle extravaganza!" Freddy O'Martian announced. The crowd goes wild as the tournament has officially begun. Georgia and Sylvester starts things up in the first round. "Battle number one is Georgia versus Sylvester! The rules of the tournament states that trainers will battle using one of their three registered Pokémon, so substitutions are not allowed!"
"No exchanges?" Meowth asked.
"That's gotta be hard for Sora," Ventus said.
"That's the rule, Ven," Aqua said.
"Each tournament has its own set of rules, so don't forget that, Ven," Terra said.
"Sora and Iris might be last, but it will be a fun tournament to watch, right?" Kairi asked.
"She's right! Let's sit back and enjoy the show!" Meowth said. Georgia and Sylverster each took out a Pokéball.
"Beartic! You're up!" Georgia called out. Beartic came on out in the first round.
"Go! Joltik!" Sylvester called.
"Georgia has chosen Beartic, as Sylvester has chosen Joltik!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Excuse me, talking about a size difference," Iris said. Georgia wasn't even the least bit pahsed.
"So what? The better for a quick finish. Beartic! Rock Smash!" Goergia ordered. Beartic comes at the tick-like Pokémon with Rock Smash.
"Joltik, dodge!" Sylvester called out. Joltik dodges Beartic's Rock Smash.
"Joltik is too quick for Beartic!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Small and quick has its adventages!" Don George added. Joltik jumps onto the polar bear Pokémon's back.
"Thunderbolt!" Sylvester ordered. Joltik lands a shock onto Beartic.
"Beartic, no!" Georgia gasped. Beartic lands on its back, beaten. Beartic opens its eyes as Joltik came out from underneath and fell on its stomach, beaten by Beartic's weight. Beartic gets back up.
"Joltik's unable to battle! Beartic wins! The winner of the battle is Georgia!" The referee annunced.
"What did you think of that, Dragon Type lover Iris? All hail the Dragon Buster!" Georgia gloated.
"She's even a littler kid than I thought," Iris goraned.
"Axew," Axew added.
A few minutes later, Hugh and Dino got ready for their battle.
"Battle number two, Dino versus Hugh!" Freddy O'Martian announced. Dino took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Deerling!" Dino called out.
"Go! Fraxure!" Hugh called out. Hugh's Fraxure is a bit smaller than Sora's Fraxure, but has a darker shade of green and has light blue on areas that are red, and has a black body. Stars swirls around Fraxure upon entry.
"Hugh has sent out a Shiny Fraxure!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Fraxure is a Dragon Type Pokémon, so Deerling will not find it easy to bring it down!" Don George announced.
"Deerling! Tackle!" Dino ordered. Deerling charges right at Fraxure with Tackle.
"Fraxure! Dragon Rage!" Hugh ordered. Fraxure fires Dragon Rage right at the deer-like Pokémon. Deerling was given a heavy hit. "Now, use X-Scissor!" Fraxure came at Deerling with X-Scissor and lands a heavy hit onto it. Deerling was taken down just by two hits.
"Deerling is unable to battle! Fraxure wins! The winner os Hugh!"
"Hugh brings it home without breaking a sweat!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Wow, that was quick," Ventus said.
"Georgia only won because Joltik was on its back," Meowth said. A few minutes later, Hilbert and Nate enters the battle.
"And now, it's battle number three, Hilbert versus Nate!" Freddy O'Martian announced. Both took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Whirlipede!" Hilbert called out. Whirlipede came out to battle.
"Go! Growlithe!" Nate called out and Growlithe came out to battle.
"Hilbert has chosen a Whirlipede as Nate has chosen Growlithe for this match!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Hilbert may have made a big mistake since Whirlipede is a Bug Type Pokémon!" Don George added
"Grolwithe! Use Overheat!" Nate ordered. Grolwithe has fired Overheat right at Whirlipede.
"Use Protect!" Hilbert ordered. Whirlipede uses Protect to block Grolwithe's attack.
"Uh-oh! Whirlipede uses Protect to block Grolwithe's Overheat!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"When it comes to Overheat, the first one is always the strongest one!" Don George announced.
"Whirlipede! Use Steamroller!" Hilbert ordered. Whirlipede rolls right towards Growlithe. The puppy Pokémon has taken some damage from the attack. "Now, use Sludge Wave!" Whirlpede fires Sludge Wave and it lands a hit onto Growlithe, resulting in a knockout.
"Growlithe is unable to battle! Whirlipede wins! Hilbert wins the battle!" The referee announced.
A few minutes later, Riku and Burgundy. Both got into posiotions for battle.
"And battle number four is Burgundy versus Riku!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"So, what are the odds of Riku beating Burgundy?" Iris asked.
"I would say very good. Burgundy just doesn't stand a chance against him," Sora said.
"How would you know?" Iris asked.
"I would know because I knew him a whole lot longer than I knew the two of you. Don't that I battled him before and I lost. We had a rematch in the P-1 Grand Prix and I beat his Incineroar with my Primeape. And Riku's Incineroar was nothing to sneeze at," Sora said.
"I would say that you and Riku are the best combinations of recipes as rivals. You both respect each other so well," Cilan said. Trip just scoffed at the two of them.
"I'm so looking forward in seeing Riku in action," Stephan said.
"Me too, me too!" Bianca said.
"It will be exciting," Luke said.
"You ready to give me what you got?" RIku asked.
"All I care about is beating that arrogant Connisseur Cilan! You, like buying a day-old baguette," Burgundy said.
"Is revenge all you care about? You have got to have yourself a relaxing hobby," Riku said.
"If I beat you now, maybe I can give you a talk about a total Pokémon replacement," Burgundy said.
"Keep your opinions to yourself," Riku said. Burgundy's eyebrow twitched.
"What did you just say to me?" Burgundy asked.
"I said, keep your opinions to yourself. I didn't get to where I am today by taking advice from people who shouldn't be taking advice. And you shouldn't be giving advice," Riku stated.
"Allure! Come forward, Stoutland!" Burgundy called out. Her Stoutland came on out to battle.
"Well, it looks like her Herdier evolved," Sora said.
"Bonjour, it's re-evalutaing time, s'il vous plaît! The compatibility between me and Stoutland is perfection!" Burgundy said.
"Well, I have just the one to use agianst your Stoutland!" Riku said, taking out a Pokéball and threw it. "Go! Throh!" Riku's Throh came on out and tightened his belt upon entry.
"Stoutland is quite strong, but Riku has made the right call in sending in a FIghting Type Pokémon like Throh to use against Burgundy," Cilan said.
"This is not going to end well for her," Sora said.
"Riku has sent out a Throh to go up against Burgundy's Stoutland!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Throh has the advantage against Stoutland, so I'll have to bet all my money on Riku's Throh, especially with a series of throwing attacks it uses!" Don George said.
"Your Throh has an unpleasant sweaty smell," Burgundy said.
"Say what you want about my Pokémon, but they're not going to be beaten that easily!" Riku said. Throh turns to his trainer. Riku and Throh nods to each other. "Throh! That things up with Circle Throw!" Throh came right at Stoutland and gave it a spin with his body. Throh then threw Stoutland to his right. Stoutland lands on its stomach. Burgundy gasped.
"And Throh makes a good start by opening up with Circle Throw!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"How dare you throw my precise Stoutland like it was disgusting garbage!" Burgundy hissed. "Stoutland! Use Tackle!" Stoutland charges right at Throh with Tackle.
"Dodge!" Riku called out. Throh steps to the side as Stoutland misses its mark.
"Stouotland's Tackle misses Throh completely!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Thunder Fang!" Burgundy ordered. Stoutland came right at Throh with Thunder Fang and lands an electrifying bite on the throwing Pokémon. "Now, use Ice Fang!" Stoutland switches from Thunder Fang to Ice Fang. Throh has his arm frozen. "How do you like your complementary dessert, curiosity of chef Stoutland?" Burgundy laughed.
"Throh! Get Stoutland to let go!" Riku said. Throh headbutts Stoutland, making the dog-like Pokémon let go of his arm. "Now use Seismic Toss!" Throh grabs Stoutland and rolls around in the air. Throh throws Stoutland onto the ground, dealing some damage. "Now, use Storm Throw!" Throh grabs Stoutland again and gave the big hearted Pokémon a throw against a wall, resulting in a knockout.
"Stoutland?" Burgundy asked. "Impassible!"
"Stoutland is unable to battle! Throh wins! The winner of the match is Riku!" The referee announced. The crowd all cheered hard for Riku.
"That silver haired kid is good!" One man said.
"And so cool!" A random girl added.
"You were right, Sora. Burgundy never stood a chance against him," Iris said. Riku beamed as he and Throh high-five each other.
"You did great, Throh," Riku said.
"Throh," Throh said.
"Cere, Stoutland. The scent of a Lillipup soaked by the rain," Burgundy said.
"You're up, Cilan," Sora said.
"You're right, Sora. And as a Connisuer, my performance must be even tastier than Riku's," Cilan said. RIku rejoined the others as Dino was impressed.
"That was awesome, Riku isn't it?" Dino asked.
"Yeah, and thanks," Riku said.
"I have decided to make you my rival. How about once the tournament is over, you and I have a battle?" Dino proposed.
"I can hold you up to that," Riku said. Both Riku and DIno shook hands.
"That was just luck, silver-head," Trip said.
"There's no such thing as luck," Riku stated.
"We'll see about that," Trip said, entering the battlefield.
"And now, hold on to your seats! It's Trip versus Cilan!" Freddy O'Martian announced. "So, Don George, how do you see this battle shaping up?"
"Well, the fact is, Cilan is one of the three Gym Leaders of the Striaton City Gym. He is going to be one tough opponent!" Don George said. Cilan and Trip got ready for their battle.-
"I remember your battle well at the Striaton City Gym, Trip. Let's see if some of that flavor will emerge here," Cilan said.
"My Pokémon and I have come a long way since then. I'msure our battle today will be much more exciting than when I beat your brother, Gym Leader Chili," Trip said.
"Let's see what recipe Cilan has in store for him," Sora said.
"Pika," Pikachu said.
"Trip seems confident, but I can't imagine Cilan actually losing," Iris said.
"I can!" Burgundy said. "And he will! I want to see Cilan get the smack down in his Connisseur life! And I hope Trip delivers it! Who cares if he's an A-Class Conniseur, I want revenge!" Riku sighed.
"She still doesn't get it," Riku said in his thoughts. "But I am curious about what Cilan has planned for Trip." Cilan took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Alright, Ferroseed! Let's go!" Cilan called out. A Ferroseed came on out to battle.
"When did he get a Ferroseed?" Sora asked.
"Cilan caught that while you and Kairi were training for your Gym battle and Kairi's Contest," Iris said.
"Xew," Axew said.
"Gurdurr! You're up!" Trip called out. A Gurdurr came out, twirling a steel beam. It plants the beam on the ground.
"Timburr must have evolved at some point," Sora said.
"This might be hard for Cilan since Ferroseed is a Steel Type," Terra said.
"Right. Knowing Cilan, he probably has some sort of recipe planned for him," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"We'll make the first move! Ferroseed! Gyro Ball!" Cilan ordered. Ferroseed spins around.
"Gurdurr! Dodge it!" Trip called out. Gurdurr dodges by using its beam. Gurdurr smirks right at Ferroseed.
"Ferroseed! Use Pin Missle!" Cilan ordered. Ferroseed fires Pin Missle right at Gurdurr.
"Block it!" Trip called out. Gurdurr uses its steel beam to block the attack.
"Gurdurr is using its steel beam with great grace! It couldn't land a single hit!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"It's nice to see a great defense like that being utilized!" Don George added.
"Gurdurr! Rock Smash!" Trip ordered. Gurdurr places its steel beam down and then came right at Ferroseed.
"Use Protect!" Cilan ordered. Ferroseed lands a Protect onto itself. Gurrdurr's Rock Smash bounces right off.
"That was close," Stephan said.
"I doubt Ferroseed will be able to keep it up for long," Riku said,
"Vee," Eevee agreed.
"Come on, Cilan!" Iris called out.
"Use Rock Smash once more!" Trip ordered.
"Dodge it, Ferroseed!" Cilan called out. Ferroseed avoids Gurdurr's attack. Trip just smirked.
"Use Stone Edge!" Trip ordered. Gurdurr fires Stone Edge and it lands some damage onto the seed-like Pokémon.
"Ferroseed, no!" Cilan gasped.
"And Gurdurr has landed a sure fire hit with Stone Edge!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"It may not have been a super-effective move, but it was still a good strong hit!" Don George added.
"Man, am I getting the best footage! This is going to turn out great! The best movie ever!" Luke said.
Ferroseed gets back up.
"So, you're still not throwing in the towel. I'm impressed," Trip said.
"You actually grown stronger. A more palletable style! However it's my turn! I call it evaluating time!" Cilan proclaimed. "Trip, Gurdurr has good technique and power, weaving them into harmonious attacks! I also admire Gurdurr's well defined muscles, demonstrating a refreshing yet bold style! However, Ferroseed and I are going to emerge victorious with offense and defense! A recipe for success! A delicious pairing that surpasses even yours!"
"Whatever! Gurdurr! Dynamic Punch!" Trip ordered. Gurdurr comes right at Ferroseed with Dynamic Punch. Gurdurr tries to land a punch, but misses. Each punch misses as Ferroseed moves incredibly fast. "Get close to Ferroseed and attack!" Gurdurr comes right at the seed-like Pokémon.
"Ferroseed! Dodge and use Pin Missle!" Cilan ordered. Ferroseed fires Pin Missle right onto Gurdurr's body. Ferroseed was moving much more faster than normal.
"Gurdurr!" Trip gasped.
"Ferroseed's Pin Missle is coming out much brilliantly faster than before!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"I have seen my share of Ferroseed in my time, but I have never seen one move as fast as this one!" Don George added.
"Wait! Is that allowed?" Burgundy asked, gritting her teeth.
"Of course it is. Why wouldn't it be?" Hilbert asked.
"Gurdurr! Hang in there!" Trip called out.
"One more Gyro Ball!" Cilan ordered. Ferroseed spins around and lands a hit onto Gurdurr, making it drop its steel beam. Gurdurr fell on the ground, beaten.
"Gurdurr is unable to battle! Ferroseed wins! The winner is Cilan!" the referee announced. The crowd cheers hard for the Pokémon Connisseur.
"Cilan has won his first round! That means he moves on in Round 2!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"That was truly an excellent battle! Excellent power and skill!" Don George added.
"That was great, Ferroseed," Cilan said. Ferroseed beamed. Trip takes a picture with his camera.
"Just chronicling my journey, so I won't forget this defeat," Trip said, taking off.
"You're up after Bianca and Stephan, Luke," Sora said.
"I sure am," Luke said. Vivi walked up to Sora.
"Yeah?" Sora asked.
"I'm sorry if this is late, but I am looking forward in seeing you in action again," Vivi said. Sora was dumbfounded.
"Again?" Sora asked.
"I was watching you battle in the Nimbasa City Gym the other day, and I was awestruck. You couldn't see me, but I could see you. So, good luck," Vivi said.
"Thanks, Vivi. You too," Sora said.
"Well, I'm not going to need it, because I'm going to win it, so you better not lose, Sora," Stephan said.
"Um, you seem to forget that it's me that he's battling," Iris reminded Stephan. Bianca puffed her cheeks. Bianca and Stephan got into position to battle.
"And now, it's time for battle number six, Stephen versus Bianca!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"It's Stephan, but whatever," Stephan said.
"Choose and begin!" The referee instructed.
"Go! Minncino!" Bianca called out.
"Go! Zebstrika!" Stephan called out.
Both of Minccino and Zebstrika came on out at the same time to battle.
"Stephan's Blitle must have evolved during the battle with Elesa," Sora said in his thoughts.
"Minccino! Tickle!" BIanca ordered. Minccino came right at Zebstrika and tickles it. "Keep it up!"
"Bianca's getting better," Hilbert said.
"Minccino! Double Slap!" BIanca ordered. Minccino lands a couple of slaps onto the zebra-like Pokémon. "Alright, use Hyper Voice!"
"Hang in there, Zebstrika! Show them both you can take it!" Stephan called out. Zebstrika stood its ground. "Alright, it's our turn! Use Shock Wave!" Zebtrika powers up its electricity thrugh its mane. Zebstrika fires Shock Wave right at Minccino.
"Oh, Minncino, hang in there!" Bianca pleaded.
"Now, use Stomp!" Stephan ordered. Zebstrika came right at the chinchilla Pokémon and stomps right on it, resulting in a knockout.
"Minccino is unable to battle! Zebstrika wins! Stephen is the winner!" The referee announced. Stephan groaned.
"Got my name wrong again, but whatever," Stephan said. Bianca went to her fallen Mincinno and helped it up.
"Minccinno, are you okay?" Bianca asked with concern.
"Cinno," Minccino replied.
"Wah, it's not fair!" Bianca cried.
A few minutes later it is Luke against Vivi. Luke has sent out Golett as Vivi has sent out a Darmanitan. The battle went on between the two of them.
"Golett! Use Shadow Punch!" Luke ordered. Golett lands a Shadow Punch into Darmanitan, resulting in a knockout.
"Darmanitan is unable to battle! Golett wins! Luke is the winner of the battle!" The referee announnced.
"And now it's time for our eighth battle! It's Iris versus Sora! Don George, how do you see how this will go?" Freddy O'Martian asked.
"The way I see it, since Sora has a huge reputation as a Pokémon League Champion, it is clear that is the favorite in this battle! From what I heard about Iris, she has been training hard for the battle tournament held in the Village of Dragons, so I would have to say this is a fifty-fifty match!" Don George said.
"No holding back, Iris!" Sora said.
"I wouldn't dream of it!" Iris said.
"Battle begin!" The referee called out. Sora and Iris each took out a Pokéball.
"Go! Deino!" Iris called out. Deino came on out to battle.
"Go! Klink!" Sora called out. Klink came on out to battle.
Watching on the stands is a young woman with green shoulder length hair and grayish amber eyes. She wore a green leotard with knee-high golden heeled boots and draperies adorned in stars.
"Iris sends out a Deino as Sora came out a Klink!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Klink is a Steel Type Pokémon, so I have to say that Deino's Dragon Type moves won't do much damage on it!" Don George announced.
"Deino! Dragon Breath!" Iris ordered. Deino fires Dragon Breath right at the gear Pokémon.
"Dodge and use Gear Grind!" Sora ordered. Klink avoids the attack and fires all sorts of gears right at the irate Pokémon.
"Dodge and use Dragon Rage!" Iris ordered. Deino avoids Klink's attack and lands a hit onto Klink.
"Iris lands the first hit with that Dragon Rage!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Even though Dragon Rage is a Dragon Type move, it deals heavy damage equal to the power of the user regardless of Type," Don George said.
"Not bad, Iris. Here's my next move! Klink! Use Flash Cannon!" Sora ordered. Klink fires Flash Cannon right at Deino.
"Dodge and use Dragon Rage again!" Iris ordered. Deino dodges Flash Cannon and fires Flash Cannon right at the gear Pokémon. Deino fires Dragon Rage right at Klink.
"Dodge and use Gear Grind!" Sora ordered. Klink fires Gear Grind right at Deino and lands a hit. "Now, use Flash Cannon!" Klink fires Flash Cannon and it lands a hit on the irate Pokémon.
"Deino takes a bad hit from Klink's Gear Grind and Flash Cannon!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Deino! Use Crunch!" Iris ordered. Deino comes right at Klink with Crunch.
"Dodge and use Metal Sound!" Sora ordered. Klink has let out a metallic sound.
"Klink now uses Metal Sound on Deino!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Gear Grind!" Sora ordered. Klink fires Gear Grind right at Deino and lands a hit. "Now, use Flash Cannon!" Klink fires Flash Cannon and it lands a hit onto Deino.
"Deino is unable to battle! Klink wins! Sora wins the battle!" The referee announced.
"And Sora is the winner! And couting Sora, he is now one of the eight winning trainers who will be moving on in the second Round!" Freddy O'Martian announced as Sora, Riku, Hilbert, Hugh, Stephan, Georgia, Luke, and Cilan are moving right along.
"Remember we'll be in round two, and then the semi-finals! So, I suggest that you all check in the Pokémon Center and get some rest! That's all, you're dismissed!" Don George announced.
Later, Trip picks up his fallen Gurdurr and then takes off to continue his journey as Kairi has prepared a meal for Sora.
"You enjoying your dinner, Sora?" Kairi asked her boyfriend.
"Every bite, Kairi," Sora said. Kairi beamed.
"I may not have won, but if you end up against Geogia, I want you to take her down like you did before," Iris said.
"Oh, that's a promise," Sora said.
"But I'm the one who's going to be taking you down when we end up on the battlefield tomorrow," Stephan said, sitting down and eating.
"We'll see about that," Sora said. Riku, Naminé, Eevee, and Azurill sat with their friends and enjooyed the meal. After the meal, Sora laid down as Kairi started to play with his hair. "Man, I'm stuffed."
"Pika," Pikachu added.
"Gotta hand it to you, guys, you all did awesome," Ventus said.
"Thank you, Ven," Cilan said. "I'm going to need Ferroseed to be ready."
"There is no need for you to be ready," Burgundy said. "Tomorrow's battles will prove it. Any pairing you make will be the-" Aqua grabbed her and kicked her out.
"Do you mind?!" Aqua yelled, shutting the door.
"What a rude shrew!" Burgundy said.
"Takes one to know one," a voice spoke.
"Who said that?" Burgundy yelled.
"Doesn't she ever give it a rest?" Ventus asked.
"That's a dumb question to ask, Venny," Meowth said.
"There is such a thing as too much spice," Cilan said.
Now that the first part of the Club Battle Tournament has concluded, Sora, Riku, Hilbert, Hugh, Cilan, Stephan, Georgia, and Luke makes it to the second round. Who will emerge victorius in the finals? Just you wait and see!
