Hello I'm here with chapter 5 and I loved writing this chapter it was very cool to write it so I hope you love this chapter. I have to warn you this chapter contains violence and a lot of blood so if you do not like that stuff I suggest you be careful reading this or don't read it at all, also the reason I upgraded the rating from k plus to t was that I realized that there was gonna be a lot of blood in the future especially the Undyne fight and Photoshop Flowey (LIKE A LOT OF BLOOD FOR PHOTOSHOP FLOWEY). Also when I say Lincoln pressed the spare button he actually pressed the Mercy button and then spare Im just lazy lol. Thank you and enjoy

Lincoln couldn't believe it. He was actually in a fight with Toriel. Lincoln didn't want to fight Toriel but he was in a battle right now with her.

Toriel blocks the way

Lincoln was shivering in fear cause Toriel looked pissed at Lincoln. Lincoln knew what to do so he spared Toriel. Toriel wouldn't hurt Lincoln would she? She made a promise to never hurt any human. Would Toriel break that promise?

When Lincoln spared Toriel she didn't say anything. Then Toriel summoned balls of fire and aimed them at Lincoln. Lincoln looked on with shock as he tried to dodge each fire ball. One of them hit Lincoln's leg and it made Lincoln Yelp in pain. There was now a burn mark on Lincoln's leg and he took 7 HP from that. Lincoln weakly got up and limped to the spare button and pressed it again.

"Toriel pls don't do this", pleaded Lincoln.

Toriel didn't answer Lincoln again and summoned more fire balls at Lincoln. Lincoln tried the best he could to dodge them but it was really hard to. Luckily this time he didn't get hit at all. Lincoln pressed spare again and Toriel didn't say anything.

"Toriel stop it", pleaded Lincoln again but no luck.

Toriel waved her hands shooting out fire directly towards Lincoln. Fire has hit Lincoln directly on him and Lincoln screamed in pain as his whole body felt like it was on fire even tho there was no fire on it. Lincoln also had cuts on his head and blood was dripping from his forehead down to his eyes. Lincoln looked up to see his HP was only 7.

Toriel takes a deep breath

Lincoln wiped the blood off himself and pressed spare again.

Toriel was getting confused on why Lincoln was still sparing her even after she hurt him. Then Toriel sent more fire at Lincoln. Lincoln got hit only once on his hand and it only took 1 HP. Lincoln once again pressed the spare button again.

"What are you doing?", asked Toriel.

"I'm sparing you", said Lincoln as he coughed.

Then Toriel waved her hands again and fire hit Lincoln again and now Lincoln only has 4 HP. Lincoln coughed several times and he had burn marks and cuts all over him. Instead of sparing Lincoln pressed item and ate the candy he got a while back. Lincoln's cuts and burn marks had disappeared and he now has full HP. Then Toriel waved her hands again and fire shot at Lincoln. Luckily Lincoln dodged the attack and spared Toriel again.

Toriel prepares a magical attack

"What does that mean?", asked Lincoln.

Toriel didn't answer Lincoln's question but said," attack or run away!", yelled Toriel.

"No", said Lincoln in a stern voice.

Then Toriel waved fire directly at Lincoln and Lincoln couldn't dodge in time and took 6 HP from the fire. Lincoln had burn marks on him again and he had cuts on his forehead with blood dripping down his face again. Lincoln weakly got up and pressed spared once again.

"What are you proving this way?", asked Toriel.

"I'm proving that I am capable of taking care of myself, and not hurting anyone while doing so", explained Lincoln.

Toriel shot fire at Lincoln again and Lincoln couldn't dodge it in time and screamed while he was getting hit. Lincoln only had 4 HP left and he didn't have anymore candy to eat. He did have the cinnamon butterscotch pie but Lincoln had a feeling it was good to save the pie for later. Lincoln then tried to stand up but he was very weak and was shaking when he attempted to stand. Fortunately Lincoln had enough strength to get up and and pressed the spare button again.

"Fight me or leave!", yelled Toriel.

"Why?", asked Lincoln.

Toriel didn't answer again and shot more fire at Lincoln. Fortunately Lincoln dodged the fire however he was still pretty weak.

"Child why are you sparing me? I did hurt you a lot...", questioned Toriel.

"Because nobody deserves to die no matter what they do", said Lincoln.

Toriel didn't say anything and let Lincoln take his turn. Lincoln pressed spare again.

"Stop it," complained Toriel.

Toriel was getting angry with Lincoln cause he kept sparing her despite her actions. She feel like she didn't deserved to be spared. Toriel shot fire at Lincoln once again but this time it was more than usual, stronger than usual, and more powerful. Lincoln couldn't dodge in time and was hit directly on. Lincoln lied there on his stomach with his head down as he was in so much pain and was very weak. Lincoln only had one HP left when he looked up.

"Y-you promised...", cried Lincoln as tears was forming in his eyes.

"What did I promise?", asked Toriel.

"You said that *sob* you wouldn't ever hurt a human", cried Lincoln.

Toriel's expression changed to a sad expression. Lincoln used the little bit of Strength he had and pressed spare before collapsing onto the ground again. Lincoln was bracing himself for impact as he was scared Toriel would attack him again. But when he opened his eyes he saw the fire was going around Lincoln instead of directly on him. Lincoln pressed spare again despite having blurry vision from his weakness.

"Stop looking at me that way", demanded Toriel.

Lincoln didn't say anything nor did Toriel. Fire went around Lincoln again while Lincoln was trying the best he could to stand up correctly. Lincoln spared Toriel again and Toriel said to Lincoln to go away. Lincoln sat there weakly while more fire graced the sides of the walls around Lincoln. Lincoln got up again and pressed spared once again.

"Go away!", yelled Toriel.

Lincoln didn't say anything as Toriel shot fire at the walls again. Lincoln pressed spared again. Toriel didn't say anything as she got a sad look on her face. As you guessed more fire didn't hit Lincoln but graced the walls again. Lincoln got up and pressed the spare button once again. Toriel's face looked more sad and sympathetic as she was aiming fire at the walls. Lincoln continued to press spare like he did before.

"I know you want to go home but-", said Toriel.

"Toriel what?", asked Lincoln

Spare

"But please go upstairs now", pleaded Toriel.

"I know you want me to stay but I have to go", exclaimed Lincoln.

Spare

"But I promise to take good care of you here", said Toriel sympathetically.

"Toriel please…", pleaded Lincoln.

Spare

"I know we do not have much but… we can have a good life here", said Toriel.

Lincoln sadly looked down as his shoes and thought for a moment and then said "Toriel I have a life back in Michigan with my family and I really miss them", said Lincoln in a sad tone.

Spare

"Why are you making this so difficult?", asked Toriel.

"I'm not… I just.. miss my family", said Lincoln as tears began forming in the corner of his eyes.

Spare

"Please go upstairs", pleaded Toriel.

Lincoln didn't say anything

Spare

Toriel didn't say anything but looked more sad

Spare

"Ha ha", laughed Toriel Diabolically.

"What?", questioned Lincoln.

Spare

"Pathetic is it not?", asked Toriel.

"W-what? What do you mean?", questioned Lincoln.

"I mean I can't even a save a single child", proclaimed Toriel.

Lincoln looked at Toriel with shock. Lincoln never thought Toriel would say something like this.

Spare

"No I understand, you would just be unhappy trapped down here", said Toriel.

Lincoln didn't know if Toriel was being sarcastic or being serious.

"Are you trying reverse psychology on me?", asked Lincoln.

"No…", answered Toriel. "The ruins are very small once you get used to them, it would not be right for you to grow up in a place like this, my expectations, my fear, my loneliness… for you my child, I will put them aside".

Then the battle ended, whilst Lincoln was still pretty beat up and had burn marks all over him, he felt a little better after the battle was over. Lincoln's SOUL also disappeared.

"If you truly wish to leave the RUINS…I will not stop you", said Toriel.

"Really?", questioned Lincoln.

"Yes… however when you leave… please do not come back", explained Toriel.

"Why not?", asked Lincoln.

"…. Uh I hope you understand", hoped Toriel.

The Toriel turned around and gave Lincoln a hug. Lincoln was shocked but returned the hug to Toriel. Then Toriel let go of the hug a little bit after.

"Goodbye my child", said Toriel.

Then Toriel began to walk off, she took one last look at Lincoln before heading off, letting Lincoln go. Lincoln smiled to himself and walked through the doors.

Aight that was the end of chapter 5, sorry it took insanely long to release this chapter I had a ton of work to do and didn't really have the time to write this story. I hope you understand, I probably will only post once or twice a month… if I am lucky 3 times a month. Also sorry this chapter seems a bit shorter than the others, I want to make the "boss battles" their own chapters cause I just think it makes sense. Well have a good day yallz
