Episode 447: Nimbasa Club Battle Tournament Finals
Where we last left off, Sora, Riku, Hilbert, Hugh, Cilan, Georgia, Stephan, and Luke all made it to the second round of the tournament, Riku has defeated Georgia without breaking a sweat as Hugh has made a quick win against Hilbert. Luke and Cilan had themselves an intense battle while CIlan was evaluating Luke's Larvesta, but he ends up being defeated by Luke as Sora and Stephan has battled with Oshawott versus Sawk. In an unexpected twist of fate, Oshawott has evolved into a Dewott and took out Sawk with his newfound strength. Now the tournament's conclusion is closer than ever as Sora, Riku, Hugh, and Luke prepares to battle each other.
Riku is stepping in with a battle with Hugh as Sora and Luke were having thiers afterwards. Which two will be moving on in the final round and win the Seven Wing Set? Well, that's what we're here to find out.
"And now it's time for our first battle of the semi-finals! We have Riku versus Hugh!" Freddy O'Martian announed. Hugh took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Durant!" Hugh called out. Durant came on out to battle.
"Go! Throh!" Riku called out. Throh came on out to battle against the iron ant Pokémon.
"Hugh has chosen Durant while Riku has chosen Throh in this battle!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Durant is a Bug and Steel Type as Throh is a FIghting Type! It's an interesting matchup to go up against each other! I'm waiting to see who will be moving on!" Don George said.
"Durant! Use Thunder Fang!" Hugh ordered. Durant came right at Throh with its mandibles emitting electricity.
"Throh! Dodge and use Storm Throw!" Riku ordered. Throh avoids Durant's Thunder Fang and grabs the iron ant Pokémon an gave it a powerful throw. "Now use Circle Throw!" Throh ran towards Durant to land a throw.
"Dodge and use Vise Grip!" Hugh ordered. Durant dodges and ran towards Throh with its mandibles. Durant lands a pinch onto Throh's arm. "Now, use Iron Head!" Durant lands an Iron Head onto the judo Pokémon.
"Durant has Throh in a real bind with Vise Grip!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Throh is a strong Pokémon, but it would seem that even a Pokémon with a strong throwing arm is no match for Durant's mandibles!" Don George said.
"We'll see about that! Throh! Bulk Up!" Riku ordered. Throh flexes his muscles and builds up his defense.
"Now Throh is hardening its defense with that Bulk Up!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Bulk Up is a move that can power up a Pokémon's Attack and Defense! Now Durant is going to have such a hard time with Throh since its attack power has gone up!" Don George said.
"Throh! Seismic Toss!" Riku ordered. Throh grabs Durant and jumped up into the air. Throh tosses Durant straight onto the ground. Durant has been taken down.
"Durant is unable to battle! Throh wins! The winner is Riku!" The referee announced.
"And Riku makes it to the final round! It will be decided on who will make it to the final battle right after our final one!" Freddy O'Martian announced. Sora and Luke were up next.
"First I was up against a Gym Leader, now I'll be up against a Pokémon League Champion. My heart's going faster than normal!" Luke said.
"Luke, don't worry about that. Just do what you did before, and you'll be fine," Sora said.
"He's right, Luke. Just remember to have faith in your Pokémon and you'll be okay," Cilan said.
"Luke and Sora are going at it next," Meowth said.
"It sure does. How is Luke going to film it when he's battling?" Ventus asked.
"Hilbert, that's how, Ven," Aqua said.
"She's right. We saw how good Luke is after he battled Cilan and won it," Terra said.
"He's right. Sora is expecting it from Luke; but he suspects that Luke will make it hard for him," Kairi said.
"It would have been the same for Riku if Luke ended up facing him," Naminé said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"Azurill," Azurill chirped.
"For those of you just joining us on TV, we are now witnessing the second battle of the Nimbasa Club Battle tournament! On the left is the Pokémon League Champion of Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh, Sora, against the promiing film maker, Luke!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Oh man, I hope Hilbert's filming, like I asked him to," Luke said, turning to Hilbert and he's getting every second of it. He gave a thumbs up.
"Luke, don't worry about your film career right now!" Sora said.
"Are both competitors ready?" The referee asked.
"Yes!" Sora and Luke asked.
"Alright! Begin!" The referee said.
"Time for my star! Go! Golett!" Luke called out, taking out a Pokéball and threw it. Sora took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Klink!" Sora called out. Klink came on out to battle against Golett.
"Golett is both a Ground and Ghost Type as Klink is a Steel Type! That gives Golett the advantage in this match!" Don George said.
"Klink! Gear Grind!" Sora ordered. Klink fires Gear Grind right at the golem-like Pokémon. The gears lands a hit.
"That landed a perfect hit!" Ventus said.
"It should, but let's see what move Luke makes now," Naminé said.
"Mega Punch!" Luke ordered. Golett comes right at Klink and lands a hit.
"Klink! Show your power with Flash Cannon!" Sora ordered. Klink begins to charge up for Flash Cannon.
"Golett! Double Team!" Luke ordered. Golett makes several copies of itself, making it harder for Klink to land a hit. Klink's Flash Cannon phases through Golett. "Now, use Gyro Ball!" Golett and the copies all head right towards Klink.
"Dodge them all!" Sora called out. Klink tried to avoid them, but the gear Pokémon got struck by one of them. "Klink, no!" Klink fell on the ground. Klink gets back up. "Klink! Flash Cannon one more time!"
"Golett! Shadow Ball!" Golett forms Shadow Ball and fires it right at Klink, landing a hit. "Finish it with Gyro Ball!"
"Dodge it, Klink!" Sora called out. Klink moved around to avoid Golett's Gyro Ball.
"Keep it up, Golett! Keep on Klink until you nail a move!" Luke called out. Golett kept chasing after Klink with Gyro Ball.
"Judguing by how Klink is doing out there, Luke's Golett's going to have it in the bag," Cilan said.
"Despite Gear Grind and Flash Cannon on his side, Klink is a sitting Ducklett," Stephan said.
Golett keeps chasing after Klink with its Gyro Ball, but Klink was starting to get tired from fleeing from Golett.
"Can Klink keep avoiding Golett up to this point?" Freddy O'Martian asked. Klink fell on the ground, exhausted Golett was getting closer and fired Flash Cannon right at Golett. Klink then started to evolve. "Look at that!"
"First it was Oshawott, now it's Klink's turn to evolve! How about that?" Don George asked. Klink has now become a Klang.
"Klink evolved into a Klang!" Iris said.
"Axew!" Axew added.
"Yeah! Klang!" Ventus said.
"Klang! Gear Grind!" Sora ordered. Klang fires Gear Grind right at Golett. It was much more stronger than before. "Gear Grind again!" Klang fires another Gear Grind and it lands a hit onto Golett, resulting in a knockout.
"Golett is unable to battle! Klang wins! The winner is Sora!" The referee announced.
"You evolved, cool!" Sora said. Klang fell on the ground as Sora took out its Pokéball and calls the newly evolved gear Pokémon back inside. "I'll have you checked in the Pokémon Center. Until then, just rest for a while."
"Good job, Golett. Rest," Luke said, calling back Golett.
"With that, the final matchup has been decided!" Freddy O'Martian announced. Sora and Riku looked at each other.
"Looks like it's you and me again, Riku," Sora said.
"It won't be like the last round of the P-1 Grand Prix, Sora, that I will promise you," Riku said.
Both Sora and Riku shook hands, promising each other a good battle.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Eevee," Eevee said.
"Both Pikachu and Eevee shook paws like their trainers. The rest of the participants saw that Pikachu and Eevee were similar to their trainers since being rivals. Don George walks on the battlefield and makes the announcement.
"Our final Club Battle will take place tomorrow right here! I strongly suggest that our two finalists gets lots of rest for what sure will be an exciting battle event! That's all for now!" Don George said.
Later, Riku, Naminé, Eevee, and Azurill are out alone. Blitzle, Sawk, Throh, Lampent, and a Bisharp are eating the Pokémon food Kairi had made for them.
"So, Riku, you did say that you were going to use Bisharp for the final round once you make it through," Naminé said.
"That's right. I wanted to save Bisharp for a real challenge. The one I think Sora will be sending out at me will be his Dewott since he knows Sacred Sword. And you know how effective that move is against Bisharp," Riku said.
"You're right. There was also Iris's Druddigon, and Georgia's Beartic," Naminé said.
"Right," Riku said. Naminé moved in front of her boyfriend. "Naminé?"
"I just want to wish you luck," Naminé said. She and Riku kissed each other. They parted lips as he looked right at his Bisharp.
"Okay, Bisharp. You've been waiting in preserves long enough. You ready for tomorrow's battle?" Riku asked.
"Sharp," Bisharp nodded. Riku smiled.
"That's what I wanted to hear," Riku said.
Over to Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Cilan, Iris, Pikachu, Angel, and Meowth sat inside to eat as Snivy, Tepig, Dewott, Archen, Klang, Purrloin, Deerling, Cottonee, Petilil, and Minncino were eating the Pokémon food she has made for them.
"There you go, eat as much as you want," Kairi said.
"You going to do okay in that battle against Riku? After hearing about your first battle, he's going to be tough to beat," Iris said.
"He beat Riku in the P-1 Grand Prix. But you are right, Iris, Riku isn't going to go easy on me. And he knows I'm not going to go easy on him, so I'm just going to give him what he wants; a good battle between the two of us," Sora said.
"I don't doubt it," Cheren said.
"Cheren, where have you been?" Sora asked.
"Sorry. There was something I had to attend, but I apologize. I have heard you have made great progress; not surprising in the least," Cheren said.
"That's just Cheren's way of saying that he has faith in you, Sora," Hilbert said.
"We all do," Nate added.
"I for one am looking forward to seeing your rivalry in action! I will be evaluating your battle as a Pokémon Connisseur, of course," Cilan said.
"I thought you would, Cilan," Terra said, chuckling.
"Please! The rivalry between Sora and Riku is the worst ever! They act all friendly to each other, and it's a such a yawner, so I hope that they-" Burgundy evaluated, earning a Water Gun from Dewott.
"Man, she's got to let that go," Sora groaned.
"Pikachu," Pikachu agreed.
"Forget her, Sora. She's not even worth our time," Aqua said.
"You're right. I shouldn't be even thinking about it," Sora said.
On the very next day, it was now time for the final battle. Sora has decided to use Dewott for the battle as Riku was going to use Bisharp.
"The final battle of the Pokémon Club Battle Tournament is here! And these two gifted and hard-working trainers will be battling for the win!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
Luke gets sets up his camera.
"Ready, crew? Let's make a film!" Luke said.
"Let's get this battle on the road! The trainer on the left is Sora from Pallet Town, and to my right is Riku from Iki Town on Melemele Island!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Those unwavering expressions on their faces rule! This is going to be an awesome battle documentary!" Luke said.
"Competitors, are you ready?" The referee asked.
"Yes!" Sora and Riku answered.
"I'm not holding back, Riku," Sora said.
"Me neither," Riku said.
"Then begin!" The referee called out. Sora and Riku each took out a Pokéball.
"Go! Dewott!" Sora called out. Dewott came on out to battle.
"Go! Bisharp!" Riku called out. Bisharp came on out to battle against Dewott. Sora knew his Pawniard had to evolve since the last time they saw each other.
"Was Riku saving his Bisharp for this battle?" Sora asked in his thoughts.
"This is an interesting matchup we're seeing here!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Bisharp is a Dark Type and a Steel Type Pokémon! The way I am seeing this, it might go either way between these two. Not one of them has shown any signs of backing down during the tournament, and I doubt we're going to see it here today!" Don George said.
"Bisharp! Start things up with your Metal Claw!" Riku came running towards the discipline Pokémon.
"Dodge and use Razor Shell!" Sora ordered.
Dewott avoids Bisharp's Metal Claw and moves in with Razor Shell. Both clash into each other like blades. They kept up the clashing until they both landed a hit onto each other.
"Bisharp! Come right at Dewott with your Night Slash!" Riku ordered. Bisharp comes running towards the otter-like Pokémon with Night Slash.
"Razor Shell again!" Sora ordered. Dewott came right.
They clashed again. Both Pokémon held on with all of their might. They pushed each other back as they glare at each other.
"Both of their attacks have come out evenly matched! They're giving it to each other! I have never seen anything like this!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Bisharp! Iron Head!" Riku ordered. Bisharp comes right at Dewott with Iron Head.
"Dodge and use Sacred Sword!" Sora ordered. Dewott dodges and then swings his scalchops and lands a heavy blow onto Bisharp.
"That was a super-effective hit with that Sacred Sword! Bisharp has taken such heavy damage since it's a Steel Type Pokémon! But it doesn't look like Bisharp is going to go down that easily!" Don George announced. And he was right. Bisharp gets back up on its feet.
"Not bad, Sora. Your Dewott has real potential," Riku said.
"Thanks, Riku! Your Bisharp is just as awesome!" Sora said. "Awesome or not, it's going down!"
"Not before your Dewott does! Bisharp! Dark Pulse!" Riku ordered. Bisharp fires Dark Pulse right at Dewott.
"Aqua Jet!" Sora ordered. Dewott dodges with Aqua Jet and lands a hit onto the sword blade Pokémon. "Now, use Razor Shell!" Dewott lands a hit with his Razor Shell attack. "Water Gun!" Dewott fires Water Gun and it lands a hit onto Bisharp.
"Dewott's onslaught continues in this bout! If Dewott keeps it up, then it'll be all over for Bisharp, that's for sure!" Don Geroge announced.
"Look at them go!" Aqua said.
"Sora has Riku in a corner now," Meowth said.
"Yeah, but RIku can be resourceful even when cornered," Naminé said.
"She's right. Riku is no one's punching bag," Terra said.
"Bisharp! Dark Pulse!" Riku ordered. Bisharp fires Dark Pulse right at Dewott.
"Block it!" Sora called out. Dewott blocked it with his scalchops. Dewott skids backwards from the force of the attack.
"Bisharp has fired a powerful Dark Pulse, but Dewott blocked it by using both of its scalchops to block Bisharp's attack!!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Bisharp! Come at Dewott with Metal Claw!" Riku ordered.
"Razor Shell!" Sora ordered.
Dewott and Bisharp came right at each other with their chosen attacks. They clashed into each other again like they were having a sword fight. Not one was getting the best of the other.
"Bisharp! Use Night Slash!" Riku ordered.
Bisharp ran towards Dewott with Night Slash.
"Sacred Sword!" Sora ordered. Dewott came right at Bisharp with Sacred Sword. They clashed once again, but Bisharp felt it even stronger than before.
"Bisharp must have felt that from that Sacred Sword!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Dewott has shown off its luster against this opponent! I can take into account that Sora and Riku both have raised their Pokémon well, and they don't seem to be showing any signs of backing down!" Don George announced.
"Okay, Dewott! Water Gun!" Sora ordered. Dewott fires Water Gun right at Bisharp.
"Dodge it, Bisharp!" Riku called out. Bisharp dodges Dewott's Water Gun. "Now, use Night Slash!" Bisharp comes at Dewott and lands a heavy blow onto Dewott. The green-haired young woman was watching with amazement. She was very impressed by the both of them. "Let's end this! Bisharp! Dark Pulse!" Bisharp fires Dark Pulse right at Dewott.
"Aqua Jet!" Sora ordered. Dewott manages to dodge by using Aqua Jet. Dewott then lands a hit onto the sword blade Pokémon. "Now, use Razor Shell!" Dewott slashes at Dewott with Razor Shell.
"Night Slash!" Riku ordered. Bisharp came right at Dewott with Night Slash and it lands a hit onto him. "Now, use Metal Claw!" Bisharp slashes at Dewott with Metal Claw.. Dewott felt that hit. Deowtt fell on his back. He barely gets back up on his feet.
"Dewott has gotten back up, and it's refusing to throw in the towel!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"It would seem that Deowtt's spirit is much harder to break than Bisharp's steel body," Don George said.
"Dewott really wants to win this bad. I can understand that. Deowtt can and will do it!" Sora said in his thoughts.
"Dewott is so much stronger than I thought. I hope that Bisharp can stay in it just long enough," Riku said in his thoughts.
"Dewott! Use Sacred Sword!" Sora ordered.
"Bisharp! Night Slash!" Riku ordered.
Both of Bisharp and Dewott came at each other and lands a hit onto one another. Everyone were wondering if it was it. Could the battle be over?
"It could be just anyone's guess who is the winner here!" Don Goerge said. Dewott places his scalchops back on his hipsas Bisharp fell on the ground, beaten. Riku and Naminé were stunned and dismayed.
"Bisharp is unable to battle! Dewott wins! The winner of the battle is Sora!" The referee announced.
"This Club Battle has seen so much heated action, and today's no exception! And so, the trainer who rose to the top is Sora!" Freddy O'Martian announced. The crowd all cheered hard; no one more than Kairi and Ventus. Bisharp gets back up.
"You okay, Bisharp?" Riku asked.
"Sharp," Bisharp said.
"Don't sweat it. You did your best. And that's what I expect from all of you," Riku said. Bisharp beamed. The crowd cheered for Riku.
"The crowd hasn't forgotten about Riku, our runner-up as he gets showered with a big round of applause!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Splendid! A battle worthy of final battle status is heartwrenching! What an emotional ride!" Don George announced. Sora and Riku walked up to each other.
"That was a great battle, Riku," Sora said.
"You too, Sora. Just like the P-1 Grand Prix, you came out on top. You're really getting stronger by the day, Sora. And this tournament has made you even stronger," Riku said.
"You too, Riku," Sora said. Sora and Riku shook hands as Don George grabbed by the arms and raised them up.
"Let's give another round of applause for a great battle!" Don George announced as the crowd goes nuts for Sora and Riku for the battle that has taken place. Kairi and Naminé were proud of their boyfriends for the battle they gave each other.
"Sora retrieves the entire Wing Set! Health, Muscle, Resist, Genius, Clever, Swift, and Pretty Wings! Congrats, Sora! May we have a few words for our stunning win?" Freddy O'Martian asked.
"You may! I had a great time battling in this tournament! The same can be said for Riku and the rest!" Sora said.
"That was the winner of the Nimbasa City Pokémon Club Battle Tournament, Sora! Now, how about a big hand?" Freddy O'Martian asked as the crowd cheers again.
Later as the sun sets, Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Cilan, Iris, Pikachu, Eevee, Angel, Meowth, Azurill and Axew returned to the Pokémon Center and waited for Dewott and Bisharp to be healed up. In the meantime, Sora has sent over Klang in exchange for Litwick Hilbert, Nate, and the other participants has left on thier journeys as Sora is waiting for something.
"Just what are you waiting for, Sora?" Iris asked.
"Just for a friend to show up," Sora said.
"Wouldn't it be so much easier of you just shipped it to Pallet Town?" Iris asked.
"If I didn't then you wouldn't have a chance to meet him," Sora said. Iris was realy confused.
"Him?" Iris asked. Just then, something came flying fast. Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, and Axew both came out to see Dragonite landing. Iris was awestruck to see a Dragon Type Pokémon from the Kanto region.
"Glad you came, Dragonite!" Sora said.
"So, this is your Dragonite! The first time I have ever seen a real Dragonite!" Iris said.
"It is the same with me!" Cilan said.
"I had a feeling this is how Sora was going to do it," Terra said.
"It's good to see you, Dragonite!" Ventus said. Dragonite beamed. Sora hands the dragon Pokémon the case.
"Just don't fly too fast or you might drop it," Sora said. Dragonite nodded. Dragonite then took out an envelope. "A letter?" Dragonite hands it to Kairi. She looked at the envelope's front.
"It's from my family," Kairi said. She opens the letter and reads the contents on the letter.
Dear Kairi,
How is your time in Unova? Your mom, grandma, and I have been by Professor Oak's lab and we were amazed by seeing the Pokémon you caught in Unova. We also got word that you won three Contest Ribbons. We're very proud of you. Your Indeedee, Brianna has been a great help around the house. Sora's Indeedee, Brian has also been a great help around Delia's since he and Mimey seems to get along great. Also, your friends Lillie, Elio, and Selene has dropped by the other day and they wanted to say hello to you. They said that they're hoping that they get to see you in Unova when they get the chance. Also, we got word from your friends in Sinnoh that Lucas and Dawn are doing great. I just wanted to say that your mom, grandma, and I are very proud of you.

Kairi took out a photo of her family and Brianna waving at the camera. Kairi smiled. he looked up to Dragonite.
"Thank you, Dragonite," Kairi said. Dragonite beamed.
"You be sure to fly on back to Pallet Town and tell them that we're doing great down here," Sora said. Dragonite nodded and started to fly back to Kanto.
"How did your Dragonite know where to find us?" Iris asked.
"After we checked Deowtt and Bisharp in, I made a call to Professor Oak and asked him to have Dragonite fly on over since he's the fastest Pokémon to fly here and back. I told him where we were," Sora said.
"That makes perfect sense since Dragonite are well-known for their incredible speed!" Cilan said.
"So, where are heading next?" Terra asked.
"The next Gym is located in Driftveil City," Cilan said.
"And that's where we're heading next," Sora said.
Now that the Nimbasa Club Battle Tournament is behind them, their next destination is Driftveil City for Sora's very next Gym battle. But there are sure to be some challanges along the way. So, stay tuned!
