Episode 448: Benga!
I just want to make a statment about the recent review. I just want to say that it not an insult to Ash in shape or form. I just thought that Ash desevred to win those since he didn't. I mean it was those anime guys that wrote it saying that he should lose those, I mean, come on! It's his story! Also, he is not going to have his head in the glory or anything because he is humble in this story! He doesn't like he's better or stronger than anyone! He is nothing like Gary in shape or form! Here's a difference between Gary and Sora. Gary would arrogantly would think that's easy as Sora knows it won't be easy. And he doesn't act like he's better than anyone else like Gary would have. And he didn't let it go to his head, because he learned how to be humble, and he isn't trying to draw attention to himself. Also, he got far thanks to Kairi coming into his life. Misty wasn't so supportive; I wouldn't call her a good friend. Kairi has supported him from the start. I guess you can say that he owes his success to her. Also, that would sound like that Sora might be a hypcrite about giving it his all and everything. Also, like Ash, Sora would see his Pokémon as his friends, something Gary wouldn't do. I have said my peace, so here is the chapter!
Where we last off, the Nimbasa Club Battle Tournament has concluded, so Riku has promised a battle with a certain trainer named Dino.
Riku, Naminé, Eevee, and Azurill met up with Dino outside of the Pokémon Center.
"Riku, I have been waiting for this!" Dino said.
"How do you wanna do this, Dino?" Riku asked.
"I was thinking of one-on-one," Dino said.
"Okay, I accept," Riku said, taking out a Pokéball and threw it. "Go! Sawk!" Sawk came on out doing a fighting stance.
"You're going right in, Darumaka!" Dino called out.
"You're sending in a Fire Type Pokémon, huh?" Riku asked.
"My Darumaka is tough enough to take on your Sawk! DArumaka! Use Flamethrower!" Dino ordered.
"Sawk! Dodge and use Karate Chop!" Riku ordered. Sawk dodges and moves in with Karate Chop. Sawk lands a blow onto Darumaka. "Now, use Brick Break!" Sawk lands a Brick Break onto Darumaka.
"Darumaka! Fire Punch!" Dino ordered. Darumaka comes right at Sawk, landing a hit.
"Sawk! Use Low Sweep!" Riku ordered. Sawk lands a Low Sweep onto Darumaka. "Now, use Karate Chop!" Sawk lands a Karate Chop right on the zen charm Pokémon. "One more Brick Break!" Sawk lands a Brick Break onto Darumaka again, landing a knockout. Dino calls back RIku and he smiled.
"That was a great battle, Riku. I'm impressed," Dino said. "We should battle again. And I plan on winning the next time I see you!"
"You're going have to work hard if you wanna make it happen," Riku said. They both shook hands, promising each other a good battle the next time they meet.
A couple of days later, a Rufflet is flying in fear as a trio of young men are chasing after it on motorcycles. They each had a Galvantula.
'Electro Web!" The young men ordered as the Galvantula fires Electro Web at them. The Rufflet dodges just by moving on its right, then moved up, and then to itsleft. The Rufflet flew right into the trees and avoids detection.
"Where did it go?" One of the young men asked.
"It's here somewhere! That Pokémon won't stay away for long!" The leading young man said. Rufflet carefully moved along the trees, and not being detected by the young men.
A little bit further, Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel were having some quality time in the forest, having some time for themselves as they came across a Sawk and Throh. Both Fighting Types were sparring with each other. They reminded the couple of the Sawk and Throh that Riku has. Sora thought out a Pokéball and opened it.
"Come on out, Litwick!" Sora called out. Litwick came on out to battle.
"Good thinking of using Litwick since he's a Ghost Type; and Fighting Type moves won't won't have any effect on him," Kairi said.
"You got that, right, Kairi. Those two won't even know what hit em!" Sora said. He turned to the candle Pokémon. "You ready to go, Litwick?"
"Wick," Litwick nodded. Litwick came right to the two Fighting Type Pokémon. Sawk and Throh took noticed the candle Pokémon, and they came right at Litwick. Sawk came right at Litwick with Karate Chop. Sawk's attack did nothing since being a Ghost Type Pokémon. Throh grabbed Litwick and gave him a Storm Throw. But that does nothing to him. "LItwick! Will-O-Wisp!" Litwick unleashed Will-O-Wisp right at the karate and judo Pokémon, and it gave them both a burn status. "Now, use Night Shade!" Litwick fires Night Shade right at Sawk and Throh. Sawk and Throh kept trying to land a hit onto him, but their attacks did nothing. "Okay, Litwick! Shadow Ball on Throh! And Night Shade on Sawk!" Litwick fires Shadow Ball onto Throh, and then Shadow Ball onto Sawk. Sora took out two Pokéballs, one for each of them. He threw them at Sawk and Throh. They both flow inside. The Pokéballs wobbles around violently, knowing that they won't stay in for long. Stars swirls around the Pokéballs to confirm the catch. Sora's Pokémon Box goes off asking him if he wants to keep Sawk and Throh with him. He chose to send them both to Professor Oak's lab. "Now, I have my own Sawk and Throh."
"Pikachu!" Pikachu said.
"Eevee!" Angel added.
"That was a good catch, Sora," Kairi said, giving her boyfriend a deserved kiss. He kisses her right back. Just them, a Gothita came around and sees the couple kissing. Gothita went up to the couple and started to gush at the sight of them. Sora and Kairi stopped and saw the fixation Pokémon. "Hi there, where did you come from?" Gothita started to hug Kairi on her leg. "Oh, you're so very cute."
"Gothita, Gothita, Goth, Goth," Gothia said.
"You wanna be with me, is that what you're saying?" Kairi asked. Gohtia nodded. "Okay, if that's what you want." She took out a Pokéball and threw it. Gothita jumped up and flows inside. Stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch. Kairi's Pokémon Box goes off asking her if she wants to keep Gothita with her. She chose to keep Gothita with her in exchange for Cottonee.
A little later, Cilan has prepared a meal which was a lasagna with sauce made from Tamato Berries.
"Wow, this lasagna really hits the spot!" Meowth said.
"Thank you, Meowth. This was made from the finest cheeses. And you can tell that the spiciness is from the Tamato Berries we recently found," Cilan said.
"You have got to give me the recipe later, because I would like to make it for Sora later on," Kairi said.
"I would be happy to oblige, Kairi," Cilan said.
"Somehow I had a feeling Kairi was going to ask Cilan for that," Terra said.
"So did I," Iris said.
Pikachu, Angel, Snivy, Tepig, Dewott, Archen, Litwick, Deerling, Purrloin, Gothita, Petilil, Minncino, Pansage, Ferroseed, Amoongus, Axew, Deino, and Druddigon were enjoying the fruit Iris has picked for them. Just as they were eating the Rufflet came busting through the trees. Everyone were surprised to see the eaglet Pokémon.
"A Rufflet!" Cilan said.
"He's hurt bad," Kairi said.
"What could have happened?" Ventus asked. Rufflet made his sounds, explaining to the group about the situation.
"Meowth, what's Rufflet saying?" Sora asked.
"Rufflet is saying that some humans and some Galvantula did this to him. He was just minding his won business when they suddenly came and attacked him just for the fun of it," Meowth translated. Iris was very appalled.
"That's just terrible! I'm going to teach them a lesson if I ever see them!" Iris said.
"Save room for me, because I plan on sharpening my claws!" Meowth said.
"How about we treat his injuries first?" Cilan suggested. He took out some Hyper Potion and uses it to treat Rufflet's injuries. Rufflet makes his little sounds. "I know it stings, but it'll help you heal." Rufflet did feel better from the Hyper Potion since it healed his injuries. Just then, Nurse Joy and an Audino came around.
"Is everything okay here?" Nurse Joy asked.
"Nurse Joy," Sora said.
"Are all those Pokémon there yours?" Nurse Joy asked.
"Yes. This Rufflet came flying here and he was hurt pretty bad," Kairi explained.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"Is that right? That's why I came out here. There's some talk about trainers who have been attacking Pokémon out of random. They have also been vandalizing private property with thier Galvantula," Nurse Joy said.
"Has that been a problem around here?" Terra asked.
"It has been for a while now. Officer Jenny has been looking into it, and I have been stepping out to see if there are some injured Pokémon that needs some healing," Nurse Joy explained.
"I can't believe that there is someone who just do that just for the fun of it," Iris said.
"Neither can I," Aqua added.
"If you see them, be sure you make contact with Officer Jenny through your Xtransceiver at once," Nurse Joy said.
"Audino," Audino added.
"We'll do that," Sora said.
With that said, Nurse Joy left to find some injured Pokémon to heal.
Over to the young men, they launched an attack on a trainer and his Frillish, one being male, and one being female.
"Why are you doing this?! What did I ever do to you?!" The trainer asked.
"We're just having some fun here! And what are you going to do about it?" The leading young man asked. The trainer was given a taste of the Galvantula's Electro Web. They laughed while they did it. "That was loads of fun! What you think we should do next?"
"Maybe find some Ducklett and stirr them up!" The second young man said.
"It's always funny to see them get riled up!" The third young man said.
"Or maybe we could just go back and find that Rufflet! The face it made when Galvantula attacked was freaking hilarious!" The leading young man said,
"Yeah, that was great!" The other two young men said.
They set off to find the Rufflet and to have some fun by launching their attack on him, along with any Pokémon or trainer that hits their radar.
Over to Officer Jenny, she came across her latest victim.
"And those bastards just attacked for no apparent reason!" The trainer said.
"I will promise you that I will arrest them as soon as I lay my eyes on them!" Officer Jenny vowed.
Not too far, a short boy is strolling through the forest. He has orange and red hair. His eyes are red, and his eyebrows are black. . He wore a white ragged tank, some black ragged shorts and red sandals. He wore a black backpack, in which there are some wood sticks, and a knife underneath. He wore a necklace containing Pokéballs. He spots Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Cilan, Iris, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, and Axew. Rufflet has perched himself onto Sora's left shoulder.
"No way! A Pikachu, an Eevee, and a Meowth! This I have got to see!" The boy said. He approcahes the group form behind. "Hey!" The group all turned to see him.
"Who are you?" Terra asked.
"The name's Benga. I just saw your Pikachu, Eevee, and Meowth, so I wanted to have a close-up at them!" Benga said. Cilan stroked his chin.
"Benga, I know I heard that name before," Cilan said.
"Now that you know my name, who are you?" Benga asked.
"I'm Sora, and this is my girlfriend Kairi and my cousin Ventus," Sora introduced.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Everyone calls me Ven," Ventus said.
"This little Eevee is Angel," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"I'm Terra, and this is my girlfriend Aqua," Terra introduced.
"Nice to meet you," Aqua said.
"I'm Iris, future Dragon Master," Iris said.
"And I'm Cilan, a Pokémon Connisseur," Cilan said.
"Nice to meet you," Benga said. He looked right at Sora, Cilan, and Iris. Sora has epscially caught his eye. "Three of you I already recognize! I saw you in the Nimasa Club Battle Tournament on TV. And you're the one who won it! I wanted to meet you ever since I saw you on the tube!"
"Thanks, Benga," Sora said.
"Aren't you the least bit worried?" Aqua asked.
"Worried about what?" Benga asked.
"There's talk about some chumps in the woods, attacking Pokémon just for a laugh," Meowth said. Benga looked right at Meowth.
"Hey, a talking Meowth! So cool!" Benga exclaimed.
"He gets excited over a talking Pokémon, what a kid," Iris said.
"What Meowth is saying is true. They're attacking anyone with a Pokémon. They're also attacking some wild Pokémon as well, so we're keeping an eye out for them," Sora said.
"Well, I haven't anyone like that. And if they decide to mess with me, they're going to be sorry that they did," Benga said.
"Thinking about Rufflet, why is he still sticking around?" Iris asked.
"That's because Rufflet feels safe with Sora for some reason. I would know because I asked him," Meowth said.
"You asked Rufflet?" Benga asked.
"Meowth can understand what other Pokémon are saying, and that's something none of us can do," Ventus said.
"But if Meowth is a Pokémon, then how come he can talk?" Benga asked.
"We don't really know. He didn't talk much about his past," Kairi said.
To those who may have forgotten or may not know, Meowth taught himself to talk after he met a female Meowth named Meowsie. She shunned him because he was a street Meowth, and then she blows him off because he is considered a freak, so left and joined up with Team Rocket after cutting tides with a Persian and a gang of Meowth. Meowth obviously didn't want to talk all about it.
"No comment," Meowth said.
"If Meowth doesn't wanna talk about it, then we shouldn't force him," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"That's cool. Anyway, since we're talking about Meowth here, what about Pikachu?" Benga asked.
"Pikachu is my first Pokémon. He's been with me from day one," Sora said.
"I had Angel since we had our journey in the Hoenn region," Kairi said.
"Vee," Angel said.
"Sora, you don't mind me asking, but how many Gym Badges did you win?" Benga asked.
"I got five," Sora said, showing his Gym Badges. Benga was impressed.
"Wow, you won all those? Check these out," Benga said, showing his Gym Badges. His Badges consited of the Toxic Badge, the Insect Badge, the Bolt Badge, and the Basic Badge. Roxy really gave me a hard time during our battle. Those moves her Whirlipede dilievered was no joke."
"Tell me about it," Sora said.
"And what about you, Kairi? Aren't you taking part of the Gym challenges?" Benga asked.
"No. I'm actually competing in Contests," Kairi said, showing Bega her Contest Ribbons. Benga as impressed.
"You won those Ribbons? You have to be really good if you won three already," Benga said.
Not too far, the three young men were strolling along when they heard the sound of talking.
"You hear that?" The third young man asked.
"Yeah. It's party time," the leading young man proclaimed. The three Galvantula were getting eager and they climbed up the threes.
Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Cilan, Iris, Benga, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, and Axew were continuing their journey when the Galvantula were waiting for them to get close enough. They sprung their trap when they unleashed their threads, trapping them on it.
"Hey! What's the gag?!" Sora exclaimed.
"Pika!" Pikachu exclaimed.
"Good work, Galvantula! We got us quite a haul!" The leading young man said, while he and the other two were laughing.
"Who the hell are you?" Terra asked.
"We're just three fun-loving guys," the leadiung young man said.
"Those are Galvantula. They're the ones Officer Jenny is looking for!" Cilan said.
"The ones who just attacked Rufflet just for a laugh?" Iris asked.
"Yeah, what of it?" The leading young man asked.
"Why are you doing this?" Kairi asked.
"Why? Because it's fun. Only pathetic losers just go up and challenge someone into a battle, so it's just fun that we just go in for the attack before they could fight back!" The leading young man explained. Sora, Kairi, Cilan, Iris, and Benga didn't like how they responded.
"So, you're just a bunch of cowards," Sora satted. The young men all growled.
"Who are you calling cowards?" The leading Young man asked.
"You have to be cowards if you just go around and do what you do!" Sora said.
"He's right. Your way of raising Pokémon is just a combination of uncompatible ingredients mixed into a dish that is doomed to failure, because it lacked the delicious taste!" Cilan said.
"And on top of that, that just you three little kids," Iris said. The young men all grolwed.
"Hey, we just do what we want! And nobody is going to tell us otherwise! Especially the cops! That's the trouble with trainers like you. Always think you can just be great trainers just by following the rules! You can never be a great Pokémon trainer if you just follow rules that are meant to be broken!" The leading young man said.
"Meant to be broken? You're joking right?" Benga exclaimed. He broke out of the web and jumped down. "You guys are the sorriest excuses for trainers I have ver known!"
"Well, lookie here! We got us a little boy who thinks he's a big man!" The leading young man said.
"You don't even know who you're messing with!" Benga said.
"We don't?" The leading young man said, pretending to be scared of him. "Ooh, I'm shaking in my boots!"
"You should be shaking! My name is Benga, the grandson of the Champion of Unova, Alder!" Benga said. The group and the young men were surprised to hear him make that claim. Cilan gasped in realization.
"I knew I heard that name before! Benga is the Champion's grandson!" Cilan said.
"Alder? Who's he?" Ventus asked.
"You really don't know who Alder is? What a-" Iris said beofre Aqua cut her off.
"Iris! Not the time or place!" Aqua yelled.
"I think you should just fill us in insread of calling him a kid, Iris," Terra said.
"OKay, okay. Alder is the Champion of the Unova region. He's been the reigning Champion for many years. Not many trainers has ever challanged him and lost," Iris said.
"This kid is the champ's grandkid?" The leading young man questioned, making him laugh. The other two laughed along with him. "That's a killer!"
"You guys won't be laughing whn I get done with you!" Benga said, taking out a Pokéball and threw it. "Go! Volcarona!" His VOlcarona came on out and surrounds itself with flames. "You ready to go, Volcarona?"
"Rona!" Volcarona responded.
"We can take him on!" The third young man said.
"Yeah, there's only three of us and one of him!" The second young man said.
"Right you are, guys! Galvantula! Thunderbolt!" The leading young man ordered. The Galvantula all fired Thunderbolt right at the sun Pokémon.
"Dodge and use Fiery Dacne!" Benga ordered. Volcarona spins around, surrounded in flames. The Galvantula were caught in the flames. Sora was amazed and impressed by the way Volcarona was moving. The flames burns the thread, holding the group and they fell to the ground. Iris landed on her feet like a cat. "Now, use Bug Buzz!" Volcarona unleashed Bug Buzz and it catches the elespider Pokémon in the soundwave. The young men were getting frustrated.
"That kid is really starting to bug me!" The second young man said.
"We're going have to take him down even harder! Galvantula! Electro Web!" The leading young man ordered. The Galvantula all fire their electrified thread again, but Volcarona easily dodges the attacks. Sora, Kairi, Cilan, and Iris all stepped in.
"Mind of we join the party?" Sora asked.
"Not at all!" Benga said. Sora took out a Pokéball and threw it. Kairi, Cilan, and Iris did the same thing.
"Go! Litwick!" Sora called out.
"Go! Minncino!" Kairi called out.
"Go! Amoongus!" Cilan called out.
"Go! Druddigon!" Iris called out.
Litwick, Minncino, Amoongus, and Druddigon all came out to battle against the three Galvantula.
"Litwick! Flame Burst!" Sora ordered.
"Minnicno! Tail Slap!" Kairi ordered.
"Amoongus! Use Energy Ball!" Cilan ordered.
"Druddigon! Metal Claw!" Iris ordered.
The four Pokémon went for the electric spider Pokémon and lands a hit onto each one of them.
"Amoongus! use Poison Powder!" Cilan ordered. Amoongus sprinkles Poison Powder onto them. The Galvantula were now poisoned. Rufflet then came into place.
"Rufflet?" Sora asked surprised. Rufflet flew right at the Galvantula and lands a few hits with his wings. "That's Wing Attack." Rufflet flapped his wings and unleashed an red-orange gust of wind from his wings and it burned the Galvantula. "And that was Heat Wave!" The Galvantula were all beaten.
"You're going to pay for that!" The leading young man roared. He was about to attack the group, but then, a Herdier and an Escavalier came and brought them down. Officer Jenny came around and cuffed all three of them.
"Found you three at last! You're all under arrest for assault and vandalism!" Officer Jenny said. She took the three deliquents with her as she read them thier rights as Herdier and Escavalier took the Galvantula.
"Good riddance," Iris said.
"Maybe some time in jail will teach them some manners!" Aqua said.
"If it doesn't we'll be sure to teach them a lesson again," Sora said.
"Pikachu!" Pikachu said.
Sora turned to the eaglet Pokémon.
"Thanks for helping out, Rufflet. Those guys sure made the mistake to mess with you," Sora said. Rufflet nuzzles Sora. "You wanna be with me, don't you?" Rufflet nodded. Sora smiled. "Sure, why not? But let's see if you can show me what you got." Rufflet got in posiotion to battle. Sora took out a Pokéball and threw it. "Go! Archen!" Archen came out to battle. Rufflet starts up by coming for Archen with Wing Attack. Rufflet came too fast for Archen to react. Rufflet then gave Archen a hit with Heat Wave. "Archen! Use Dragon Claw!" Archen came right at Rufflet with Dragon Claw and lands a hit onto Rufflet. "Now, use Dragon Breath!" Archen fires Dragon Breath right at Rufflet, landing a paralysis. "Now, use Rock Throw!" Archen hurls rocks at Rufflet with Rock Throw. Rufflet was having trouble moving since Rufflet is now paralyzed. "Okay, Archen! Dragon Claw!" Archen lands a Dragon Claw onto Rufflet. Sora took out a Pokéball and threw it. Rufflet flows inside it. The Pokéball wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch. Sora's Pokémon Box goes off asking him if he wants to keep Rufflet with him. He chose to keep Rufflet in exchange for Litwick. Sora lets out his new Rufflet and held out his arm. Rufflet perches on his arm as Sora smiled. "Welcome to the team Rufflet." Rufflet beamed.
With Rufflet as the newest member of the team, Sora's circle of friends keeps on growing be they people or Pokémon. And who knows what new friends they will meet in the future? Just you wait and see.
