Episode 449: Evolution by Fire
A few hours later, Benga has joined up with Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Cilan, Iris, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, and Axew as they continued their journey. They made their journey through the mountains as a Vullabye was trying to fly. It was flapping its wings. The vulture-like Pokémon kept on trying to fly. Vullabye fell on its rear again.
Over to the group, Kairi came across a Solosis. Kairi took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Deerling!" Kairi called out. Deerling came right out to battle. "Deerling! Tackle!" Deerling came right at the cell Pokémon with Tackle. Solosis dodges and and then unleashed Psywave right at the season Pokémon and landed a hit. Solosis then fires Night Shade and it does nothing onto Deerling. Solosis uses Confusion and slams Deerling on the ground. "Deerling! Double Kick! Deerling lands a Double Kick onto Solosis. "Now, use Feint Attack!" Deerling vanishes and lands a hit onto Solosis. Kairi took out a Pokéball and threw it. Solosis flows inside and the Pokéball wobbles around and. Stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch. Kairi's Pokémon Box goes off asking her if she wants to keep Solosis with her. She chose to keep Solosis in exchange for Minncino. "Now, I have a Solosis!"
"Eevee, vee!" Angel said.
"A good catch, Kairi!" Sora said.
"Pikachu!" Pikachu said.
Kairi and Angel went to their boyfriends and they embraced them.
"Thank you very much, Sora," Kairi said, Sora and Kairi both gave each other a loving tender kiss as did Pikachu and Angel. Iris was swooning at the sight.
"This is so sweet!" Iris said.
Just after a little while later, Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Cilan, Iris, Benga, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, and Axew were getting ready for some lunch, unaware of the Vullabye trying to fly. The lunch were of sandwiches Kairi and Cilan has made for everyone.
"Dig in, everyone," Cilan said.
They all helped themselves to the sandwiches and began to eat them.
"This is great!" Benga said.
"Half of them were might made by Kairi," Terra said.
"And I can see why Sora's enjoying it so much," Benga said. He laughed as Sora blushed. The Vullabye kept trying to flying, but it fell and tumbled down to the group.
"What the?" Meowth asked.
"A Vullabye!" Cilan said.
"Where did you come from?" Kairi asked. The Vullabye looked right at her with awe. The Vullabye made her little sounds.
"Vullabye is saying that she's trying to fly and she thinks you can help her do that," Meowth translated.
"Is that it?" Kairi asked. Vullabye nodded. "Okay. I can take you up on that. But there is only one way to do that. You think you can battle me?" Vullabye nodded. She got ready to battle. Kairi looked right at Angel. "Are you ready to go, Angel?"
"Eevee," Angel nodded.
"Go for it! Quick Attack!" Kairi ordered. Angel ran towards Vullabye and lands a Quick Attack onto her. Vullabye then ran towards Angel with her Fury Attack. The diapered Pokémon gave Angel three jabs. "Angel! Use Swift!" Angel fires Swift and lands a hit onto her. "Now, use Headbutt!" Angel headbutts Vullabye, making her flinch. "Iron Tail!" Angel swings her tail and lands a hit onto Vullabye. Kairi was certain she was weakened enough, so she took out a Pokéball and threw it. Vullabye flows inside and the Pokéball wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch. Kairi's Pokémon Box goes off asking her if she wants to keep Vullabye with her. She chose to send Vullabye to Professor Oak's lab. "Welcome ot the team, Vullabye."
"That was a good catch, Kairi," Benga said.
"A five star catch, Kairi," Cilan added.
"Thank you," Kairi said.
"Isn't there a town that's close to here?" Ventus asked.
"Let me check," Cialn said, checking his digital map. "There is a town nearby. And it has a Pokémon Battle Club we can use to train for your Gym battle, Sora."
"That's good enough to know," Sora said.
"And it gets even better because we can stay there for the night. We can get there before the sun sets when we take off now," Cilan added.
"Just as long we don't run into anyone from Team Plasma or those guys from before, then we should be fine," Terra said.
"Or those Team Shadow guys," Ventus said.
With that said, Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Cilan, Iris, Benga, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, and Axew made it to the closest town to rest for the night and enterted the Pokémon Battle Club to rest for the night. By that time, the sun has begun to set.
"We made it! And not a too soon," Aqua said.
They then heard the sound of cheering going on. The group to investigate when they saw a battle in progress. It was between two boys. One of them has a Waychog and a Mienshao as the other trainer has an Emboar and a Heatmor. The boy with the Fire Type Pokémon has dark brown hair and olive green eyes. He wore a coal brown sweater with orange parts with grayish brown pants. He also has black sneakers. He also had a sadistic look on his face.
"Wow, a double battle, huh? Looks like fun!" Iris said.
"It sure does," Sora said.
"Alright, Mienshao! Use Drain Punch!" The boy ordered. Mienshao lands a Drain Punch onto Heatmor. "Quick, Watchog! Use Slam!" Watchog takes Emboar and slams it to the ground.
"What a hit!" Ventus said.
"Nice combination!" Cilan said.
The trainer with the Emboar and Heatmor just grinned.
"Emboar, Heatmor, get ready! It's time to show everyone the true power of the Fire Warriors!" The trainer proclaimed as Emboar and Heatmor got back up and shook off their unjuries.
"They're the Fire Warriors?" Cilan asked.
"You heard of them, Cilan?" Terra asked.
"Yes I have. There is a rumor going around that there is a trainer who specializes with Fire Type Pokémon. If I remember correctly that trainer goes by the name of Shamus; also, he has an Emboar and a Heatmor," Cilan said.
"Emboar! Use Hammer Arm!" Shamus ordered. Emboar lands a hit onto both of Watchog and Mienshao. "Now, Heatmor, Flame Burst, let's go!" Heatmor unleashed Flame Burst and lands a hit onto both of Watchog and Mienshao, resulting in a knockout in Shamus's favor.
"Mienshao and Watchog are both unable to battle! Which means the victory goes to Shamus and his Fire Warriors!" Don George announced.
"That's a tough team," Sora said.
After the battle, Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Cilan, Iris, Benga, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, and Axew were going to have themselves some dinner when they saw Shamus and the trainer he battled before.
"Isn't that Shamus and that trainer he battled before?" Iris asked.
"Axew," Axew said.
"It is. What's going on?" Kairi asked.
"You promised I can have whatever Pokémon I want if you lost to me, right" Shamus asked.
"But, Shamus..." The boy paused.
"You didn't think I'd battle you for free, didn't you? Now, let me see all your Pokémon!" Shamus demanded.
"Of all the mean-" Iris hissed, going towards Shamus.
"Iris, wait!" Sora said.
"Hey you!" Iris yelled. Shamus and the trianer he battled before turned to her. "Just because he lost the battle, doesn't give you the right to take a Pokémon from him!"
"What?" Terra asked.
"That's what's going on?" Sora asked.
"Pika, Pika!" Pikachu added.
"You shouldn't do that," Cilan said.
"That's against the rules!" Kairi said.
"Eevee!" Angel added.
"Lay off! This has nothing to do with you, so butt-out!" Shamus said. Don George walks up to congratulate Shamus.
"Say, there you are! That sure was a great battle you had there. Keep up the good work!" Don George said with a smile.
"Uh, thank you," Shamus said. "Later." He took off, forgetting about taking a Pokémon from the trainer he battled earlier.
"You okay?" Iris asked.
"Yeah, thanks to you," the trainer said.
"Why would you wanna have a battle with someone like him?" Aqua asked.
"I really didn't wanna have a bttle with him. He said he wants to get his hands on Pokémon with potential," the boy explained.
"What's that all about? That's not how battles are supposed to be," Benga said.
"He made me battle him because I'm afraid of his Emboar and Heatmor," the boy said.
"Your best bet is to turn him down, because you shouldn't be giving your Pokémon away like they were baseball cards," Sora said.
"Pika, Pika," Pikachu said.
"He's right. If he wants to have a new Pokémon, then he should go and catch some of his own in the wild," Kairi said.
"I'll try to do that," the trainer said, taking off.
Elsewhere, Dakim sat on a boulder. Several Team Plasma grunts approached him.
"You! Are you a trainer?" One of the Team Plasma grunts asked.
"So what if I am?" Dakim asked.
"We have come to liberate your Pokémon from your hold," another Team Plasma grunt said. Dakim laughed.
"Liberate my Pokémon from me?" Dakim asked as he laughed again. "Do you even know who you are talking to, you stupid little shits?" Dakim stood on his feet and faced them. "I am the great Dakim! And if you plan to liberate them, then you are welcome to try!" The Team Plasma grunts attempted to do so, only to end up with an open-hand punch from Dakim. They each earned a hit on the chest. They wheezed. "I was enjoying some quiet time and you two were rude and stupid enough to disturb me! That is a mistake you don't ever want to make!" Dakim lunged at the Team Plasma grunts and started to beat them mercilessly as blood splatters from their mouths when their teeth go flying out.
"Please," the Team Plasma grunt pleaded. Dakim then gave him more of a beating.
Back to the Pokémon Battle Club, Pikachu, Angel, Snivy, Tepig, Dewott, Archen, Rufflet, Purrlion, Deerling, Solisis, Gothia, Petilil, Pansage, Ferroseed, Amoongus, Axew, Deino, and Druddigon were eating some Pokémon food as the rest were eating the meal Cilan has provided.
"Dinner time, everyone!" Cilan said.
"Look at them go!" Aqua said.
"They must like it a lot," Terra said.
While the other Pokémon are eating, Tepig notices Shamus, eating his own meal. Tepig remembers his old trainer tying him up as Tepig tried to go after him and after he lost his battle. Tepig ran up to Shamus, catching Sora's attention.
"Tepig, what's up?" Sora asked.
"Huh? What's your problem?" Shamus asked coldly.
"That's my Tepig! Sorry about that!" Sora said. Shamus turned to see Sora.
"Oh, it's you," Shamus said, not being thrilled in seeing him.
"Tepig, come here," Sora said. Tepig didn't budge an inch. "Tepig?" That's when Kairi gasped in realization.
"Wait a minute! You remember when Tepig was abandoned by his original trainer?" Kairi asked.
"He was?" Cilan asked in surprise.
Sora then realized how right Kairi was to point that out since they found Tepig, skinny from the lack of eating because his mouth was tied shut, and how dirty he was.

It was when Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Iris, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, and Axew were in Accumula Town where they were told about Tepig being abandoned.
"How can someone be so cruel, especially after losing a battle?" Sora asked in disbelief.
"If I ever find that trainer, I'll teach him a lesson he'll never forget!" Iris said.
(Flashback ends)
"That was back at the Battle Club in Accumula Town. The Don George there explained the story to us when we were there," Sora said.
"And that was just before you were traveling with us," Ventus added.
"I see," Cilan said.
"And I have a sickening feeling that he might be the guy," Sora said.
"Of course it's him! It's as clear as the hair on my head!" Iris said. She ran up to him.
"There she goes again," Meowth deadpanned.
"Is she always like this?" Benga asked.
"She should be like this," Aqua said.
"What do you clowns want now?" Shamus asked.
"We had a feeling that this is the same Tepig you abandoned back at the Accumula Town Pokémon Battle Club," Sora said. Shamus turned to Tepig.
"Huh, lucky you. This guy has given you a break," Shamus said.
"How dare you just throw away a Pokémon like that!" Iris hissed.
"I do what I want, thank you. It felt right at the time," Shamus said.
"That's just wrong! You say you're sorry right now!" Iris demanded.
"Iris is right!" Sora said.
"Not on your life," Shamus said, picking up Tepig. "What a waste!" He threw Tepig. Sora catches him in his arms.
"You're a waste!" Sora said. Cilan stepped in before it got ugly.
"Now, let's just relax! It's judgement time!" Cilan said.
"Oh boy," Sora, Ventus, Terra, and Meowth all said.
"Who's this yo-yo?" Shamus asked.
"I am not a yo-yo," Cilan said. He then puts on a judge's robe and a wig, holding a book. "In fact I just happen to be a judge connisuer!"
"What isn't he a connisuer of?" Meowth groaned.
"This seems to be fun," Benga said, almost chuckling.
We are set in what seems to be a courtroom with Sora was the prosecuter with Kairi, Ventus, Aqua, Iris, Piakchu, Angel, Meowth, Axew, Snivy, Dewott, Archen, Rufflet, Purrloin, Deerling, Solosis, Gothita, and Petilil were acting as a jury. Teera stands in as a baliff.
"Throw him in the river!" - Dewott subtitle.
"Throw him in solitary!" - Gothita subtitle.
"Throw the book at him!" - Angel subtitle.
"Make him squeal!" Meowth said. Everyone all looked at the scratch cat Pokémon. "What?"
"Make him squeal? Really?" - Pikachu subtitle.
"Well, let's see if you come up with anything!" Meowth said. Cilan bangs his gavel.
"Order in the court!" Cilan said. "The case of the Tepig abandoment in Accumula Town is now in session!" Cilan gestures to Sora. "Prosecuter you may start. Sora stood up.
"Shamus is charged with Pokémon abandonment, Pokémon cruelty, disregard for Pokémon safety, and breaking a Pokémon's rust in one's trainer," Sora said with a southern accent.
"Is it me or did he just sound like Foghorn Leghorn with that accent?" Meowth asked. "Although Kingdom Hearts is a game from Disney and Pokémon DVDs being Warner Brothers, this fic might as well be Warner Brothers and Disney, and not counting Roger Rabbit."
"Shh!" Ventus shushed him.
"Tepig has been having been having such hardships from being abandoned and blindly been seraching for Tepig until Tepig became under my care," Sora said.
"He's guilty! Justice must be served!" Iris shouted.
"Axew, ew!" Axew added.
"Here, here!" Aqua added. Cilan banged his gavel.
"Order in the court! Anymore outbursts and I'll have you removed!" Cilan said. Iris puffed her cheeks as she pouted.
"Does the accused have anything to say?" Cilan asked. Shamus remained utterly calm through the whole ordeal.
"Hmph, you've got this all wrong. I left Tepig there for its own good," Shamus said.
"Te?" Tpig asked.
"Yeah, I realize it doesn't sound right, but I'm telling you the truth. Forcing a weak Pokémon into battle is crueler by far," Shamus stated. Clearly Sora wasn't buying it one bit.
"Total lie," Sora said, pretending to cough. Cilan looked at him. "My apologies, your honor. Had a little something in my throat." He cleared his throat. He said in his thoughts, "Nice recovery."
"Continue," Cilan said.
"Once I finally discovered that this Pokémon had no talent for battling, I knew it'll be happier and free," Shamus said. Cilan stroked his chin.
"Hm, your point is well-taken," Cilan said.
"My turn?" Sora asked.
"The court recognizes councilor Sora," Cilan said.
"If that was true, then would you kindly explain why Tepig was tied up in the first place?" Sora asked.
"He does have a point," Kairi whispered to Benga.
"Truth is, I set Tepig free. But, it just followed me anyway. I told you I can't use a Pokémon that can't battle," Shamus said. Tepig frowned.
"Tepig wanted to go with him," Sora noted.
"And deciding that a Pokémon has no talent when it's that young is just mean as a trainer can get! So, I say he's guilty, guilty, guilty!" Iris said.
"I second that!" Meowth said.
"You make a good point as well," Cilan said.
"Okay the, who's right?!" Sora, Iris, and Shamus all asked.
"To choose to be guilty or not guilty. That is a good question," Cilan said. Terra hung his head.
"A real court wouldn't be anything like this," Terra said. Jut then Don George has appeared from out of nowhere.
"Well, since this is a Battle Club, why don't we decide this match with a battle? Makes sense to me," Don George said.
"I should agree. A battle should be just fine," Cilan said.
"Sure. if it's a doouble battle, then I accept. That is if you think your unevolved Tepig can possibly beat my awesome Fire Warriors," Shamus said.
"You bet, Shamus. And you're going to see first-hand how wrong you're going to be when he wins the battle against you," Sora said.
"Ha! You're living in a dreamworld," Shamus said.
"We'll see about that," Sora said. Sora turned to Rufflet. "You game, too, Rufflet?"
"Ruff," Rufflet said.
"You're using Rufflet in the battle, Sora?" Terra asked.
"I saw how tough Rufflet is against those guys with the Galvantula, so I think Rufflet can handle himself in any situation no matter how sticky they are," Sora said.
"I call that a good reason," Benga said.
"Okay, my team's going to be Tepig and Rufflet," Sora said.
"That's fine with me. I'll be going with my Fire Warriors; Emboar and Heatmor naturally," Shamus said.
"Good! Then your double battle will take place first thing tomorrow morning," Don George said.
"Okay," Sora said.
"You made a mistake in taking in Tepig since it can't even battle," Shamus said. Tepig was worried about battling his former trainer with his current trainer and his newest teammate.
Night came as crickets chirp. Tepig came outsie and sat against a tree. Tepig looked up to the moon and and sighed.
(Flashback)
SHamus has let out Tepig for the last time.
"You're not suited for battle," Shamus said. "So go. You're free now." Tepig looked right at him. "Goodbye. Take care." Tepig ran up to him and went up his leg. "Please stop. Come on!" A little later, Shamus tied Tepig to a stick. "I can't take you with me. It just wouldn't work. Goodbye." Shamus took his leave. Tepig tried to get to him, pleading him not to leave. THe fire pig Pokémon ended up cying.

Tepig is still sitting at the tree with tears as he hears the sound of footsteps.
"There you are, Tepig," Sora said. He turned to see Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel coming to him. Tepig shook off his tears. "We were wondering where you went. How about we do some training before tomorrow." Tepig looked down to the ground sadly. "What's wrong, Tepig?"
"Pika," Pikachu said.
"I don't think he's gotten over Shamus," Kairi said. "It might be possible that Tepig doesn't want to have this battle."
"Eevee," Angel said. Sora sighed.
"I don't know what happened back then, but you're not his Pokémon anymore. Shamus said that you weren't suited for battle, but he doesn't know what he's talking about. And this battle is going to prove it," Sora said. Tepig looked up to Sora as he sighed. "Let me tell you a story. There were some Pokémon that were in the same boat as you. I'll start off with a Charmander Kairi and I met before. Charmander was abandoned by his trainer after losing a battle. Charmander had to learn the hard way that his old trainer Damian didn't care about anything but winning battles. Charmander refused his offer to come back with a Flamethrower in the face. And that Charmander has evolved all the way into a Charizard. Then, there's a Turtonator we met in Hoenn. I battled against that Turtonator and won. His old trainer abandoned him the same way as Damian abandoned Charmander. It was after that Turtonator has learned the hard way that his old trainer had no intention of coming back for him, so I took him in the same way as Charmander. And then there's Sinnoh when I met a trainer named Paul who had a Chimchar. He battled against me using Chimchar twice, but he lost to me twice. The econd time was the last straw for him, so he just let Chimchar go, not caring about how he felt. And if you can guess that I took in Chimchar the same way as Charmander and Turtonator, then you would win the door prize. I don't want you to think that Shamus cared about you by 'setting you free'. The way I see it, you are suited for battle. I have seen it for myself. We're going to prove to Shamus once and for all that he made a big mistake. So, what do you say?" Sora held out his hand. Tepig looked right up to Sora and he nodded.
"Te, Tepig," Tepig said.
"Glad you're on board, Tepig," Sora said.
On the very next morning, Sora and Shamus got ready for their battle. Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Cilan, Iris, Benga, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, and Axew were watching the battle take place.
"Attention, the battle between Sora and Shamus will now get underway! The match is a double battle. The battle will be determined when both of either trainer's Pokémon are unable to continue. Alright! Begin! Don George called out. Sora has taken out two Pokéballs and threw them.
"Tepig! Rufflet! Go!" Sora called out. Tepig and Rufflet both came on out. Tepig was still conflicted battling his old trainer despite Sora's pep talk. Shamus took out his two Pokéballs and threw them.
"Come on, Fire Warriors! Emboar! Heatmor! Showtime!" Shamus called out. Emboar and Heatmor both came on out at the same time.
"Can't lose to him, Sora!" Iris called out.
"Take him down!" Kairi added.
"Take him down hard!" Meowth added.
"Axew!" Axew said.
"Pikachu!" Pikachu said.
"Eevee!" Angel said.
"Rufflet! Use Heat Wave on Emboar!" Sora ordered. Rufflet unleashed Heat Wave right at the mega fire pig Pokémon, to land a hit.
"Emboar! Move!" Shamus called out. Emboar swings its arms, cancelling out Rufflet's Heat Wave.
"Okay, Tepig! Flamethrower on Heatmor!" Sora ordered. Tepig was a bout to fire Flamethrower, but he could hear the sound of Shamus's voice sounding sad.
"Now, Emboar! Hammer Arm!" Shamus ordered. Emboar came right at Tepig with Hammer arm, landing a hit.
"Tepig, you okay?" Sora asked.
"What's going on?" Iris asked.
"I was afraid of this," Kairi said. They all looked right at Kairi.
"You know why Tepig's appetite for battle is gone?" Cilan asked.
"Yes. He's still conflicted about the battle," Kairi said.
"What? How could Tepg be conflicted after what he did?" Iris asked.
"It's never to get over someone completely," Terra said.
"Tepig, you got to keep your head in the game," Sora said. Tepig looked right at Sora. "Remember what I told you last night." Shamus laughed.
"What a riot!" Shamus said. Sora leered right at Shamus.
"I'm sorry, I missed the joke. Mind that you share?" Sora asked.
"Whenever I abandon a Pokémon, I always make it think that I'm so sad. If not, then there's some that keep following me around. Ha! All you have to do is let a Pokémon see a few tears to convince them that you care and you let them go!" Shamus said. Sora knew there was something he didn't like what Shamus has shared. Tepig's world has shattered.
"You have no right to call yourself a trainer," Sora said.
"Say whatever you want! Power is what counts! Of course, I'm looking for a Pokémon with a tiny bit of skill," Shamus said.
"If power is all you care about then you're going to lose," Sora said.
"What do you know?" Shamus asked.
"More than you think, Shamus. There were trainers that did what you did, but not one of them would bully a trainer into giving you their Pokémon after they lose to you. Any Pokémon can get stronger with the proper training! I know because I have seen it for myself. When the Pokémon get stronger, then so does the trainer," Sora said. Benga was awestruck by Sora's words.
"Wow. My gramps would say the same thing if he were here," Benga said in his thoughts.
"Okay, Rufflet! Use Wing Attack on Emboar!" Sora ordered. Rufflet flew right at Emboar and lands some hits onto the mega fire pig Pokémon. "Keep it up!" Rufflet came right at Rufflet like a bee stinging a bear.
"Heatmor! Fury Swipes on Rufflet!" Shamus ordered. Heatmor swipes at Rufflet, knockng him off.
"That was brutal," Ventus said.
"Emboar! Flamethrower! Heatmor! Fire Spin!" Shamus ordered. Emboar and Heatmor fired their attacks right at the same time.
"Dodge it!" Sora called out. Rufflet manages to dodge by flying, but Tepig wasn't so fortunate. He got hit hard by Emboar and Heatmor's combination attacks.
"Let's work on Rufflet! Heatmor! Use Fury Swipes!" Shamus ordered. Heatmor swiped its claws onto Rufflet. "Emboar! use Heat Crash!" Shamus ordered. Emboar jumped into the air with its whole body surroounded by fire. Emboar lands a hit onto the eaglet Pokémon. Tepig gasped.
"Rufflet!" Kairi gasped.
"This match might be over!" Cilan said.
Emboar gets right off of Rufflet.
"You okay?" Sora asked. Rufflet struggles to get back up on his feet. Rufflet stood.
"This match is still on!" Meowth said.
"So, I rule that Rufflet is still able to continue in this battle!" Don George announced.
"Tepig, you can do it! I have faith in you! You got to have faith in yourself!" Sora said. Tepig looked right at Rufflet and right back at Sora and saw how serious he was. It was time Tepig got serious, too. The fire pig Pokémon nodded. "Great! Flame Charge!" Tepig stomps his front feet and started to charge. Tepig lands a hit onto Emboar and Heatmor. "You said that Tepig didn't have any talent, but man were you wrong?" Shamus wasn't phased.
"I'll admit you did a good job raising it. But that alone isn't enough to make it to the top," Shamus said. "You have to take everything your opponent gives you and smash them down even harder. Anything less is a third rate Pokémon battle!" Shamus gave a sadistic look. Emboar and Heatmor got back up on thier feet. "Emboar! Finsh this with Flare Blitz! Heatmor! Finish this with Fire Spin!" Emboar surrounds itself with blue flames and jumps. Heatmor unleashed Fire Spin, merging with Emboar's Flare Blitz.
"What is that?" Ventus asked.
"It's Flare Blitz with the added power of Fire Spin!" Cilan gasped. "I call it Super Flare Blitz!"
"Now watch this! When they attack, they take damage as well! That's the true mark of Fire Warriors!" Shamus delcared Emboar headed right towards Tepig.
"Tepig! Dodge it!" Sora called out. Tepig froze in place, not moving, but Rufflet pushes Tepig out of the way and took the hit from their combo attack. Rufflet was down and out.
"Rufflet is unable to battle!" Don George announced. Sora went to Rufflet.
"Rufflet, are you okay?" Sora asked with concern. He took the eaglet Pokémon in his arms. "You battled great. You should take a good long rest." Rufflet looked up to Sora. "You wanna stay and watch the battle?" Rufflet nodded. He looked right at Tepig. "It's up to you now, Tepig. We're all rooting for you." Tepig fired flames from his snout.
"Te!" Tepig shouted.
"That's the spirit!" Sora said. He was suddenly surprised as Tepg was starting to evolve.
"Tepig's evolving!" Terra said. Tepig has now become a Pignite.
"Pignite!" The newly evolved Pignite shouted.
"Pignite! You evolved just when it mattered the most," Sora said. Shamus was even stunned. He quickly shook it off.
"Ha! Even after evolving, it will never defeat Emboar!" Shamus said.
"Resume the battle!" Don George called out.
"Okay, Pignite! Time to show them your new move! Use Fire Pledge!" Sora ordered. Pignite slams his hand onto the ground as pillars of flames erupted from the ground, engufling both of Emboar and Heatmor. Shamus was stunned. "Wrap it up with Flame Charge!" Pignite charges right at the Fire Warriors with Flame Charge and it resulted in a double knockout.
"Emboar and Heatmor are both unable to battle! Pignite wins! The victory goes to Sora!" Don George announced. Sora and Pignite high-five each other for the win.
"I told you Shamus din't know what he was talking about," Sora said.
"Pignite!" Pignite said.
"Pignite, you're the best!" Iris said.
"Wow, Sora is an awesome trainer," Benga said.
"That was a zesty battle, so I have reached a verdict! It's clear as srping water that who was right!" Cilan said.
"Pika!" Pikachu chouted as he spins Angel in his arms.
"All that training I gave you has paid off. I'm very proud of you," Sora said. Pignite beamed. Shamus calls his Fire Warriors back and approached his former Pokémon. "I'll have you know that nobody likes a poor sport."
"Who me? Oh no. You won the battle fair and square," Shamus said. Sora could tell somethuing was up, so he took a look into his aura and saw a bit of dishonesty in his aura.
"Sorry, Pignite. I was totally wrong when you said had no talent. I hope you can forgive me," Shamus said. Sora could tell he was being insincere with his apology. "Hey, I know, since you couldn't forget me aafter all this time, how about you rejoin the team? We'll be great. Why don't you ditch this loser trainer and come with me. We'll reach the top with a new Fire Warrior." He held out his hand. "What do you say?" Pignite didn't much convincing to turn him down, so he fires Flamethrower on the face. Sora grinned.
"Pignite has made his choice," Sora said. "Pignite isn't going to fall for your tricks again. A real Pokémon trainer cares and supports his Pokémon. That is something that I don't think you would ever understand."
"I am going to remember this! Nobody makes a fool out of me and gets away with this! Nobody!" Shamus shouted as he ran off.
"That's showing him, Pignite," Kairi said.
"Let's stay together for the long run," Soa said.
It was because of a dedicated trainer like Sora that allowed Tepig to evolve into Pignite, strengthing the connection between Pokémon and trainer even more! Now, Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Cilan, Iris, Piakchu, Angel, Meowth, and Axew resumes their travels to Driftveil City, and Sora's very next Gym battle!
