Episode 461: The Wrath of Dakim
Shortly after winning the Jet Badge from Skyla, and saving her career as a Gym Leader, Sora, Kairi, Karen, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Cilan, Iris, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, and Axew all started to make their way towards Iccirus City for Sora's next Gym battle and for Kairi's next Contest.
Before they left, Sora has exchanged Carracosta, Archeops, and Boldore for Timburr, Blitzle, and Tynamo. Kairi exchanged Liepard, Watchog, and Emolga for Cottonee, Petilil, and Vullabye. Kairi called out Cottonee, Munna, and Petilil and she stroked her chin.
"Hm," Kairi said to herself, taking out a Moon Stone and two Sun Stones.
"What's going through your mind, Kairi?" Karen asked.
"I'm wondering if it's too soon for Munna, Cottonee, and Petilil to evolve," Kairi said. Karen looked right at them.
"I won't tell you what to do, but I think Petilil and Cottonee are ready to evolve. Munna, not so much," Karen said. Kairi took the Moon Stone back and she held out her two Sun Stones.
"How about it? You ready?" Kairi asked. Cottonee and Petilil touched the Sun Stones and started to evolve. Cottonee is now a Whimsicott and Petilil is now a Lilligant. Kairi looked right at her boyfriend's sister. "How did you know Cottonee and Petilil looked ready to evolve?"
"Just a hunch," Karen said.
"That was a pretty good hunch," Kairi said. Karen smiled. She looked right at Karen. "Say, I have been wondering for a while now, but I was meaning to ask you this."
"Sure ask," Karen said.
"Have you thought of being a Pokémon trainer?" Kairi asked. Karen looked at her and she had this to say.
"To be honest, I have thought of it before, but I never got the chance to do so because I wanted to know about Sora and my real parents," Karen replied.
"I understand. I thought I should ask," Kairi said.
"Why do you ask?" Karen asked.
"Well, at first, I didn't have my own Pokémon when I first got started. That is until Sora and I found an egg," Kairi eexplained.
"An egg?" Karen asked.
"Yeah," Kairi said.
"Was that Angel's?" Karen asked.
"No. It was a Togepi's egg. My first Pokémon was actually a Togepi," Kairi explained.
"I bet you were thrilled that Togepi was your first," Karen said.
"Very thrilled. He was ever so cute," Kairi cooed. "If you're interested, I have some pictures of Togepi." She took out some pictures. Karen started to coo.
"So cute. Look at him sleeping," Karen cooed.
"I have plenty at home. And if you want, I could show them to you," Kairi said. Karen beamed.
"I would like that. And I would like to meet your new brother or sister," Karen said.
That made Kairi beam. She was looking forward in seeing what sex the baby was going to come out as.
Over to Sora, he was doing some training with Pikachu, Foongus, Pignite, Tynamo, Blitzle, and Timburr.
"Okay, guys! Keep it up! Foongus! Use Sludge Bomb! Tynamo! Use Charge Beam! Blitzle! Use Spark! Pignite! Power-Up Punch! Timburr! Use Rock Throw!" Sora ordered.
All of the Pokémon all unleashed their attacks and they came out quite strong.
"Pika!" Pikachu said.
"Okay, go!" Sora said. Sora's Pokémon all went at it, getting tougher. During the training, Foongus, Timburr, and Tynamo all evolved. "Looks like that training has paid off."
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Okay, let's keep at it!" Sora said.
Pikachu, Pignite, Gurdurr, Eelektrik, Amoonguss, and Blitzle all cheered.
Meanwhile, Dakim and his Team Shadow squad are in the nearby town, taking over an arena in Ambiga Town.
No one else was thrilled about it. No one more than Don George.
"You can't just come and kick us out!!" Don George said.
"I can and I just did! And if you don't like it, then that's tough!" Dakim said. Don George attempted to attack him, but Dakim lands a punch onto his gut. His staff went to help him out. "Get him out of my sight!" The Team Shadow peons grabbed Don George and his staff members and took them somewhere. A Team Shadow peon approached Dakim.
"Excuse me, sir," the Team Shadow peon said, making Dakim turn to him.
"What is it?" Dakim asked.
"We captured some interlopers roaming the grounds," the Team Shadow peon reported.
"Well, put them in the same place as those other fools!" Dakim demanded.
"Yes sir," the Team Shadow peon said. He went to the entrance and it turns out that the interlopers were Trip, Stephan, Burgundy, Georgia, Bianca, and Hugh.
"Just who do you think you are?" Trip demanded.
"Shut up!" Another Team Shadow peon told him.
"Throw them with the others," the first Team Shadow peon said. They did exactly that by throwing them in a room with Don George and his staff.
"Can't believe we had to deal with these guys again," Georgia said.
"You mean you know them?" Trip asked.
"Yeah. These guys calls themselves Team Shadow. Last time we saw them, they were in Nimbasa City," Georgia said.
"I just hope Sora, Kairi, and the others aren't caught in this mess," Bianca said. Trip looked right at her.
"Why are you putting your faith in those two Kanto trainers?" Trip asked.
"Sora is someone who isn't afraid of anyone. He wasn't afraid of them," Bianca said.
"They might not be Team Plasma, but they'll be really sorry that they came here," Hugh said.
"I'm not waiting to find out. I'm going to drive them out," Trip said. He attempted to get out, but he found the door is jammed. "Dammit! The door won't open!"
"They must have locked it," Don George said.
"Sora, please hurry and help us," Bianca said.
A little bit back, Sora, Kairi, Karen, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Cilan, Iris, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, and Axew all started to make their way to Ambiga Town and they spotted Riku, Naminé, Eevee, and Azurill.
"Riku!" Sora called out. Riku turned and he smiled.
"Sora, how's it going?" Riku asked.
"It feels like forever," Naminé said.
"Eevee, vee!" Eevee said.
"Azu, Azu!" Azurill chirped.
"What brings you here?" Sora asked.
"Just here for the Clubsplosion taking place in a few days," Riku said.
"And Riku will be taking part of it," Naminé said.
"Thought you would, Riku," Sora said.
Riku looked right at Karen.
"Who's she?" Riku asked.
"My name is Karen. It's nice to finally meet you. Sora and Kairi has told me about you," Karen said.
"Um, nice to meet you," Riku said.
"Karen is Sora's long-lost twin sister," Ventus said. Riku and Naminé were stunned to hear this bit of news.
"Sister?" Naminé asked.
"I thought Sora didn't have a sister," Riku said.
"So did we until we had a DNA test that said otherwise," Sora said.
"Pika," Pikachu said.
"Vee," Angel said.
"We were very surprised by this bit of news," Aqua said.
"So, Karen followed us here at first, so she decided that she joins us just so she could meet her real mom," Kairi said.
"I'd call that a good reason," Riku said. "But do you know about your real dad?"
"Yes," Karen sadly said. "It was a shock to hear that I will never meet him. But I got to meet you and the others." Naminé smiled, knowing she was going to get along with her as well as Kairi.
A few moments later, they all heading for Ambiga Town to register for the Clubsplosion Tournament when they heard something was up. Nurse Joy was the one who told them the news.
"What do you mean the Clubsplosion is postponed?" Riku asked.
"There was something going on at the arena, and no one get in," Nurse Joy said. "No one is exactly sure what."
"Well this was a huge lot of nothing," Meowth said.
"I'm sure everything will come to light once everything is set right," Nurse Joy assured the group.
Just then, Hilbert, Hilda, along with Nate and Rosa all show up to the Pokémon Center.
"Hey guys. What's up?" Nate asked.
"Hey Nate," Ventus greeted.
"We just got here and we heard that the Clubsplosion has been postponed," Sora said.
"Postponed? That don't sound right," Nate said.
"No it doesn't," Rosa said.
"It isn't natural," Cheren spoke up. Everyone all turned to see Cheren behind them. "I have been hearing rumors of a band of strangers at the arena. They have shown up just weeks ago." Sora knew it might be either Team Plasma or Team Shadow up to their usual tricks. Just then, his Xtransceiver goes off and Sora answers it.
"Um, hello?" Sora answered. On the screen of the Xtransceiver is a mysterious figure. The lights were completely off, and the figure spoke in a deep voice.
"You will find the answers in the arena. Go there and see for yourself," the figure spoke.
"Who are you?" Sora asked.
"My identity is of no importance. If you wish to see the truth, then go and see," the mysterious figure spoke before breaking contact.
"What was that supposed to mean?" Iris asked.
"We'll have to see for ourselves. Let's go," Sora said.
With that said, Sora, Kairi, Karen, Riku, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Cilan, Iris, Hilbert, Hilda, Cheren, Pikachu, Eevee, Angel, Meowth, and Axew all ventured to the arena. Upon arriving, they saw that the place was was deserted.
"Doesn't look like anyone's here," Iris said.
"We might have been sent here on a wild goose chase," Meowth said.
"I'm starting to think you're right, Meowth. It might have been a huge waste of time," Sora said.
"I wouldn't be so sure," a new voice spoke. Everyone all looked right a tall, powerfully-built man with long flaming red hair tied back in a spiky ponytail, tan skin, and dark eyes. His hair resembles the feathery headdress of a Native American Chief. He also wore an outfit that is similar to the garb of a Native American: a tan cloak-like vestments with a black collar, red and orange trim on the sleeves, and orange and black trim across the middle. He wore white pants with ragged ends, and black sandals on his feet. He sports a necklace ofsix Pokéballs. "I've been around and I've been seeing some weird characters for a while. And they're right inside."
"Um, who is this?" Ventus asked.
"Wait a minute! You're not Adler, the Unova Champion?" Cilan asked.
"That'll be me. And who are you?" Alder asked.
"I'm Sora. This is my girlfriend Kairi, my cousin Ventus, but we call him Ven. And this is my twin sister Karen," Sora introduced.
"Hi," Kairi greeted.
"Hey," Ventus said.
"Nice to meet you," Karen said.
"I'm Terra."
"My name's Aqua."
"I am Cilan, a Pokémon Conniseur."
"And I'm Iris."
"I'm Hilbert."
"My name's Hilda."
"My name's Cheren."
"I'm Riku, and this is my girlfriend Naminé."
"Hello," Naminé greeted.
"Anyway, you said that there are some guys in there for real?" Sora asked.
"That's right. I got a tip, telling me that some guys has taken over the arena and they're holding Don George and his staff members, along some trainers that came to register for the Clubsplosion Tournament. They all wore white and all has scarves," Alder explained. Sora's eyes widened when he knew who it was.
"Team Shadow! I knew it!" Sora said.
"Who?" Karen asked. Sora looked right at his twin sister.
"That's right, you weren't with us at the time," Sora said. "We don't know who they are exactly, but Team Shadow is an organization that uses Pokémon to commit crimes. We first met them when we were at the Desert Resort against a guy calling himself Miror B."
"We met them again in Nimbasa City when we met a woman who calls herself Lovrina," Kairi explained.
"What do they even want?" Karen asked.
"They said they plan on plunging the world into eternal darkness," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"And that's something we can't let happen. So, we have a hard battle ahead of us," Sora said. Alder smiled.
"I like your spirit, son," Alder said, smacking him on the back. "Those guys are going to have themselves a battle on their hands," Alder said.
Everyone all agreed. Unknown to anyone, a quartet of Pikachu were watching them. One was large and muscular like Terra, while one being female since the heart-shaped end at the tail, has a trait as Aqua. There is another male Pikachu that has a scruff on top of the head. The fourth Pikachu is female and has a blue flower on her head.
If you're wondering where these Pikachu came from, I'll have you know that they sailed in from the shores of Driftveil City, and they were following the group because of the Pikachu with the group.
Along the way, they battled their share of Pokémon along the way. The Pikachu with the flower looked right at the human trained Pikachu and wondered what sort of connection she would have with her. How is it that he smelled so familiar. She had to see for herself.
The group all snuck inside to see the arena crawling with Mightyena and Absol.
"Mightyena and Absol. Definitely not Unova Pokémon," Meowth said.
"We should keep looking," Cheren said.
"Right. Before they see us," Sora agreed.
The group snuck pass the bite and disaster Pokémon before they could be seen. As they went further, they spotted the Team Shadow peons.
"Are they the ones?" Karen asked.
"That's them," Sora said. "I had a feeling that we were going to see them again."
"We should take them out," Nate suggested.
"Hold it, Nate. If we go rushing in, they'll sound the alarm," Aqua warned him.
"She's right, kid. We should be smart about this," Alder said.
"It'll be a recipe for disaster if we go in without a plan," Cilan said.
"Okay, we'll have to split up. We can cover more ground that way," Sora said.
"How is that going down?" Hilbert asked.
"Okay, Hilbert and Nate are with me Kairi, Riku, and Naminé. Rosa, Hilda, and Cheren are a team. Cilan, Iris, Alder, you go that way," Sora said, pointing in different directions.
"What about us, Sora?" Karen asked.
"Try to find a nearby phone to call the police, but be careful not to be spotted. Meowth, you go with them," Sora said.
"I was hoping to sharpen my claws on those chumps," Meowth said.
"And you will as long as you stick with them," Sora said.
"Gotcha," Meowth said, doing a salute.
With that said, the teams has split up to find out what's going on. As they went deeper, they quickly found themselves seeing more Team Shadow peons. The four Pikachu follows them inside and quickly lost track of them. They ended up going in the direction of Karen, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, and Meowth.
Over to Hilda, Rosa, and Cheren, they see the Team Shadow peons all over. Just when they were going to sneak off, they were spotted by the peons.
"Hey! How did you get here?!" One of the Team Shadow peons shouted.
"It appears we have no choice but to fight," Cheren said.
"Looks like you're right," Rosa agreed, taking out a Pokéball. Hilda and Cheren did the same thing. They threw them to engage the Team Shadow peons.
Hilda has let out a Swoobat, Rosa has let out a Leavanny, and Cheren has let out a Watchog.
The Team Shadow peons has let out a bunch of Grimmsnarl. Cheren turned to Hilda.
"Careful, Hilda. Grimmsnarl is a Dark Type Pokémon!" Cheren warned.
"Right. Psychic Type moves won't have any effect on them at all," Hilda acknowledged.
"Watchog! Use Signal Beam!" Cheren ordered.
"Swoobat! Use Air Cutter!" Hilda ordered.
"Leavanny! Use Leaf Blade!" Rosa ordered.
Watchog, Swoobat, and Leavanny all launched their attacks onto the Grimmsnarl.
"Grimmsnarl! Spirit Break!" The leading Team Shadow peon ordered. The Grimmsnarl all charged at their opponents and gave them all a hit with Spirit Break.
It wasn't long before Cilan, Iris, and Alder were spotted as well.
"How did you get in here?" A Team Shadow peon asked.
"Sora's sneak attack didn't work," Iris said.
"I said how did you get in here?" The same Team Shadow peon asked.
"Now, let's not get nosey," Alder said, taking off his Pokéball necklace and he opened each one of them. Out came an Accelgor, an Escavalier, a Bouffalant, a Druddigon, a Vanilluxe, and a Volcarona. Cilan turned to Iris.
"Let's join right in, Iris!" Cilan suggested.
"Okay!" Iris said.
Cilan unleashed Pansage, Amoongus, and Ferroseed as Iris has let out Deino and her own Druddigon.
"Get them!" The leading peon shouted. They all threw their Ultra Balls and let out several Tyranitar.
"What kind of Pokémon are they?" Iris asked.
"Those are Tyranitar! Tyranitar are Rock and Dark Type Pokémon!" Cilan said.
"And if you think one Tyranitar was bad; a whole bunch of Tyranitar are even worse!" The leading Team Shadow peon said.
"Well, you are in a world of hurt. Accelgor! Use Energy Ball! Bouffalant! Head Charge! Vanniluxe! Use Blizzard! Escavalier! Use X-Scissor! Druddigon! Use Superpower! Volcarona! Use Hyper Beam!" Alder ordered.
Alder's Pokémon all attacked the Tyranitar and manages to take them down with ease.
"Tyranitar! Don't take that laying down! You show them a real Hyper Beam!" The leading Team Shadow peon ordered. All of the Tyranitar all fired Hyper Beam right at Alder's Pokémon. They managed to avoid them.
"Pansage! Bullet Seed! Ferroseed! Use Pin Missle! Amoongus! Use Energy Ball!" Cilan ordered.
"Deino! Dragon Rage! Druddigon! Use Metal Claw!" Iris ordered. Iris's two Pokémon both joined in the assault and bombarded the Tyranitar.
Over to Karen, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, and Meowth, they were spotted by the Team Shadow peons.
"Lookie what we got here," one of the Team Shadow peons said.
"You don't scare us!" Karen said.
"You guys will be in real trouble if you mess with us!" Ventus said.
"I doubt that, kid. Take them and throw them in with the others," the leading Team Shadow peon said. One of them grabbed Ventus, making Terra punch him in the face, breaking his shades.
"You little punk!" Another Team Shadow peon barked. One grabbed Aqua as another took Terra by both his arms. He gave Terra a punch in the gut. He was about to give him another punch when the strong Pikachu jumped and gave the Team Shadow peon a Mega Punch in the face.
"What the?!" The Team Shadow peons all exclaimed. The female Pikachu both gave them a Thunderbolt as the youngest Pikachu tripped one of them. The Pikachu with the flower on her head tripped another one. The leading Team Shadow peon growled in anger.
"Hey, where did you come from?" Meowth asked.
"Pika, Pika, Pikachu, Pika," the strongest Pikachu said.
"I don't know where you came from, but I don't care! You little bastards are going to get it!" The leading Team Shadow peon said, taking out an Ultra Ball and threw it. "Go! Kommo-o!" The Ultra Ball opened and a Kommo-o came right out. "Take down those rodents with Scale Shot!" Kommo-o's body glows in a purple dragonish aura and unleashed projectiles of dragon scales right at the opposing Pikachu.
The Pikachu easily dodges by using Quick Attack and darts right into the Kommo-o. The rest all threw Ultra Balls and they let out Jangmo-o and Hakamo-o to join right in. The youngest Pikachu unleashes an Electro Ball as the first female Pikachu uses Surf, catching them in it. The Pikachu with the flower jumped and gave Kommo-o a Double Kick. The strongest Pikachu lands a Thunderbolt right onto the dragon Pokémon.
"Hey, those Pikachu are just as tough as our regular Pikachu," Meowth said.
"You're right," Karen agreed.
The Team Shadow peons growled as the four Pikachu all unleashed Thunderbolt right onto them. They were all unconscious by the combined powers of all the Pikachu. They turned to the four humans and Meowth.
"It was a good thing you four came along," Meowth said.
"Pika, Pika, Pikachu, Pika," the first female Pikachu said.
"What did that Pikachu say, Meowth?" Aqua asked.
"She said that we were fortunate enough that they were close by," Meowth translated.
"We're grateful for your help," Terra said.
"Pika, Pikachu, Pika, Pi, Pi, Pi, Pika, Pikachu," the youngest Pikachu said.
"What did this one say?" Ventus asked.
"He said they were following us for a little while, and the reason for that is because of the Pikachu that was hanging with us," Meowth translated.
"You were following us all because of Sora's Pikachu?" Karen asked. All four nodded. "If you want, we can take you right to him, after we get done here." The Pikachu all agreed to stick around. The strongest Pikachu went for Terra as the first female Pikachu went to Aqua. The youngest went to Ventus as the one with the flower went to Karen.
The four humans, scratch cat Pokémon, and the Pikachu all continued on to find a phone to call the police.
Over to Sora's team, they searched around for the hostages. They stopped when they heard someone talking. They got closer and figured it had to be the hostages.
"Is someone in there?" Sora asked.
Hearing Sora's voice, Bianca was thrilled.
"Sora! Thank goodness you're here! I knew you would come!" Bianca said.
"Bianca? Is someone else in there with you?" Sora asked.
"Yes! Trip, Hugh, Burgundy, Georgia, Don George, and his staff are in here with us! Team Shadow threw us all in here when we were trying to register!" Bianca explained.
"Why are Team Shadow here?" Riku asked.
"I don't know. All we know is that they threw us in here!" Bianca said.
"They're being led by someone calling himself Dakim. He looks like a force to be reckoned with," Hugh said.
"Dakim, got it," Sora said. "If you any of you are near the door, get away from it, because we're going to bust it down."
With that said, Sora sends out Dewott as Riku sends out Zebstrika and they rammed the door open.
"If you're thinking that I should thank you, then you got another thing coming," Trip said to Sora.
"Try to show some gratitude, Trip. You would still be in there if we haven't come along," Riku said.
"Who asked you to come along?" Trip argued, getting into Riku's face.
"How about we leave this one here?" Riku asked as Sora broke them up.
"Break it up, you two! We should work together to get Team Shadow out of here," Sora said.
"Pika," Pikachu said.
"I'm not doing anything with you!" Trip stated. He stepped out and went off to find Dakim. "I'm going to challenge Dakim to a battle and I'm going to take him down." Trip sets off to find him.
"If he has a Dragon Type, then I'm in, too!" Georgia said, taking off to find him.
"And I have revenge to go on!" Burgundy said. She stepped out to find a certain Pokémon Connisseur. Everyone looked right at Bianca.
"What about you, Bianca?" Nate asked.
"I'm joining up with you! I'm going to give them a piece of my mind!" Bianca stated.
"What about us?" Don George asked.
"I think it'll be best if you stay here? They might use you to get to us," Kairi said.
"She's right. We can't risk putting you in danger," Riku said.
"Vee," Eevee chipped in.
"Alright. We'll leave this to you," Don George said.
Sora's team went to find Dakim and deal with him.
Trip tried to find Dakim, but his search was over when he jumped in front of him.
"How did you get out?" Dakim asked.
"Dakim, right? I wanna challenge you to a battle," Trip said, taking out a Pokéball. This makes Dakim laugh. His laughter confuses him. "What's so funny?" He stopped laughing.
"It's just, the idea of you challenging me is laughable; especially when you think you stand a chance," Dakim said with a grin.
"Oh, I'm more than a match for you!" Trip argued. Dakim took one of his Pokéballs from his necklace and opened it.
"We'll see about that! Go! Camerupt!" Dakim called out. A large Camerupt came out with a snort. Trip just smirked as he took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Conkeldurr!" Trip called out. Trips's Conkeldurr comes on out to battle against Dakim's Camerupt. "Okay, Conkeldurr! Use Rock Smash!"
"Protect!" Dakim ordered. Camerupt uses Protect to block the muscular Pokémon's attack. "Now, use Flamethrower!" Camerupt unleashed Flamethrower onto Conkeldurr and took it down easily. Trip was dismayed to see Conkeldurr taken down so easily. He calls back Camerupt as Dakim laughed. "Throw anything you want at me! My Camerupt is too much for anything you dish out!" Trip took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Jellicent!" Trip called out. A Jellicent came on out to battle.
"Earthquake!" Dakim ordered. Camerupt slams on the ground. Jellicent feels the vibrations. Jellicent gave off a ghostly energy and it surrounds Camerupt. Jellicent was taken down before he could give the order. "Anything else?" Trip didn't bother answering him, so he sent out his male Unfezant, Vanniluxe, Chandelure, and Serperior after his Dakim.
"Bet you're planning on using Earthquake, but it won't work because of Cursed Body," Trip said. Dakim was unphased by Trip's words.
"You're a much stupider than you think if you think I just one move to finish you off! Camerupt! Flamethrower at all of them!" Dakim ordered. Camerupt unleashed Flamethrower and lands a hit onto Trip's four remaining Pokémon. Not one of them stood a chance. "That was pathetically too easy." Trip just growled as Dakim gave him a punch in the gut. "Stupid kid." He grabbed Trip by his shirt. "Word of advice: if you're going to pick a fight, make it one you know you're going to win."
"I don't need advice from someone like you," Trip wheezed.
"Be grateful that I bothered to help you," Dakim said.
Trip has gotten himself a real pickle. Will Sora and his friends stop Dakim's conquest of the Ambiga Town arena? Just wait and see for yourselves the next time.
