Episode 462: Karen's First Battle
Last time, Sora, Kairi, Karen, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Cilan, Iris, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, and Axew all arrived in Ambiga Town after meeting up with Riku, Naminé, Eevee, and Azurill. Upon arriving, the Nurse Joy told the group the Clubsplosion Tournament has been postponed for unknown reasons. It turns out that Dakim of Team Shadow has taken over the arena.
After getting an anonymous tip through his Xtransceiver, they make their way to the arena, unaware of a small band of Pikachu following them.
Team Shadow has taken Bianca, Georgia, Burgundy, Hugh, and Trip prisoner when they attempted to sign up for the Clubsplosion Tournament. Looking into the situation as well, the Champion of Unova, Alder joined in the mission. Bianca, Georgia, Burgundy, Hugh, and Trip were rescued by Sora's team after splitting up, but they have gone their own way to find Dakim while Burgundy went to search for Cilan.
Speaking of which, he, Iris, and Alder were greeted by a squad of Team Shadow peons as they had a horde of Tyranitar under their belts. Alder's Pokémon were able to overpower them with ease as Karen, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, and Meowth were greeted by a band of Team Shadow peons, only to be saved by the band of Pikachu. They had sent out a Kommo-o, and a bunch of Jangmo-o and Hakamo-o. Despite their resistance to Electric Type moves, the Pikachu were able to overpower the attacking dragon Pokémon.
As for Trip, he was face-to-face with Dakim, but Trip stood very little chance against Dakim as his Pokémon were quickly defeated by a single Camerupt.
And now, we come to the next part of our fight against the evil Team Shadow.
We meet up with Georgia who is surrounded by a squad of Team Shadow peons.
"I don't know how you got out, but you are going to make monkeys out of us!" One of the Team Shadow peons said. Georgia just huffed.
"You losers couldn't take me in Nimbasa City, and you're not going to now," Georgia said, taking out two Pokéballs and threw them. "Beartic, Bisharp! Go!" Her Beartic and Bisharp came on out to battle. They all took out some Pokéballs and threw them. They let out several Charizard.
"Charizard! Use Flamethrower!" One of the Team Shadow peons ordered. The Charizard all fired Flamethrower right at the two Pokémon.
"Dodge those!" Georgia called out.
Beartic and Bisharp dodges their Flamethrower attacks.
Over to Hilda, Rosa, and Cheren, they found themselves being overpowered by the Grimmsnarl.
"Face it, kids! You lost before you even started!" The leading Team Shadow peon said.
"Samurott! Razor Shell!" Hugh called out. Samurott slashes right at the Grimmsnarl with Aqua Jet. They all turned to see Hugh.
"It's you, Hugh!" Hilda said.
"Hey! How did you get loose?!" The leading Team Shadow demanded.
"Someone just let me out, that's how," Hugh stated. The Team Shadow peon growled in anger.
"Grimmsnarl! Set your attention onto Samurott with Thunder Punch!" The leading Team Shadow peon ordered. The Grimmsnarl all charged right at the formidable Pokémon and with their fists emitting electricity.
"Water Pledge!" Hugh ordered. Samurott slams onto the ground as pillars of water appeared and took out all of the Grimmsnarl. Not one of them were left standing. They call back their Grimmsnarl.
"We'll remember this!" The leading Team Shadow peon hissed as they retreated.
"Don't think you've seen the last of Team Shadow!" Another peon shouted.
Cheren and the girls all turned to Hugh and his Samurott.
"Thanks for the save, Hugh," Rosa said.
"Anytime. Now, we got to rejoin the others," Hugh said.
"You're right," Cheren agreed. "We should be able to find Sora and the others somewhere in here."
With that said, Hilda, Cheren, Rosa, and Hugh went to search for the rest of their friends.
Over to Cilan, Iris, and Alder, their Pokémon has defeated all of the Tyranitar. They glared right at the team as they called back their Tyranitar.
"Just who are they?!" The leading Team Shadow peon exclaimed.
"Wait, I think I know that guy! That has got to be Alder, the Champion! He's just so powerful!" Another Team Shadow peon said.
"No wonder we were so easily defeated! We should retreat!" Another Team Shadow peon said.
All of the Team Shadow peons all fled, knowing they wouldn't stand a chance against him.
"And that's what you get!" Iris taunted, sticking out her tongue.
"Axew!" Axew added, sticking out his tongue as well.
Over to Burgundy, she was surrounded by a few Team Shadow peons.
"Sacre bleu! You again!" Burgundy exclaimed.
"I don't know how you got out, but you're not going to go so far!" The leading Team Shadow peon said. He turned to the others. "Get her!" The peons all took out Pokéballs and all let out Lairon. The Leading Team Shadow peon threw an Ultra Ball and it unleashed an Aggron. Aggron lets out a loud roar upon entry. "All of you! Use your Stone Edge!" All the Lairon all unleashed Stone Edge right at Burgundy. She quickly took out her Pokéballs and threw them.
"Darmanitan, Stoutland! Dewott! I need your assistance!" Burgundy called out. Her Pokémon all came out to assist her. "Darmanitan! Hammer Arm! Dewott! Razor Shell! Stoutland! Thunder Fang!" Dewott, Darmanitan, and Stoutland land their attacks onto the Lairon. "The connections you have with those Lairon is the worst ever! The same can be said about your Aggron! Its horns are too sharp, and it has no battle grace!"
"The bond we both share is the best ever. And I'll prove it to you!" The leading Team Shadow peon said, taking out a Mega Stone. Burgundy went wide-eyed.
"What in the world is that?!" Burgundy exclaimed in shock.
"I'll show you our bond with the power of Mega Evolution!" The leading Team Shadow peon said. "Heart of iron, soul of steel, become even stronger than diamonds and shine brighter than the sun! Share my power with Aggron with the power of Mega Evolution!" Aggron has now Mega Evolved right before Burgundy's eyes.
"That's Mega Evolution?!" Burgundy asked. She couldn't believe what she was witnessing. She said in her thoughts, "I never seen Mega Evolution until now! That Aggron didn't just change form, but it's even more powerful than it would normally be!"
"Mega Aggron! Heavy Slam!" The leading Team Shadow peon ordered. Mega Aggron jumped and came down faster than a meteorite, knocking out all of Burgundy's Pokémon very easily.
"Non! This is impossiblé!" Burgundy gasped. He laughed.
"Face it, girl, you lost before you started to fight! It was hopless!" The leading Team Shadow peon said, laughing. Burgundy growled in anger, letting his words get the better of her.
"I'm not done with you!" Burgundy stated, taking out one more Pokéball and threw it. "Go! Sawsbuck!" Her Sawsbuck came on out to battle. "Okay Sawsbuck! Use Horn Leech!" Sawsbuck charged right at Mega Aggron with a Horn Leech.
"Use Fire Punch!" The leading Team Shadow peon ordered. Mega Aggron lands a powerful Fire Punch onto Sawsbuck, earning a knockout.
"Sawsbuck!" Burgundy gasped. She growled again.
"Like I said, you lost before you started fighting," the leading Team Shadow peon said.
"Wanna test your luck with me?" A voice spoke. It belonged to Alder. He and his six Pokémon all approached him. Cilan and Iris came with him.
"You!" Burgundy exclaimed, pointing her finger at the Pokémon Connisseur.
"Burgundy, you were one of the captives?" Cilan asked.
"How rude!" Burgundy barked. "I was doing just fine before you got here!"
"Doesn't seem like it to me," Iris said.
"Who asked you?!" Burgundy barked at her.
"So, you're Alder. You have quite a reputation in Unova," the leading Team Shadow peon said. He just chuckled.
"That's what everyone has been telling me. How about we get this over with shall we?" Alder asked.
"Yes, lets," the leading Team Shadow peon agreed. "Okay Mega Aggron! Heavy Slam!" Mega Aggron jumped up and came down right at Volcarona.
"Okay, Volcarona! Use Fiery Dance!" Alder ordered. Volcarona does a dance and sends out flames all around. All of the Lairon and Mega Aggron get struck by the flames. They were all down as Mega Aggron reverts back to normal.
"Aah! My Aggron!" The leading Team Shadow peon gasped. "How dare you!"
Over to Georgia, her Beartic and Bisharp has managed to take down most of the Charizard.
"Is that the best you got?" Georgia asked.
"You may have taken most of them down, but mine isn't easy to beat! Charizard! Power-Up Punch on that Beartic!" The leading Team Shadow peon ordered. The Charizard lands a Power-Up Punch onto the polar bear Pokémon. "Now use Power-Up Punch again! This time, aim it at Bisharp!" The Charizard does the same thing onto Bisharp. She grits her teeth. "You're good, but I'm way better!"
Georgia grits her teeth when Hilda, Rosa, Cheren, and Hugh joins in the battle with Georgia.
"Georgia, we got your back," Rosa said.
"So, you come to play! How amusing! My Charizard is more powerful than any Pokémon you got," the leading Team Shadow peon said.
"Don't count us short! I can take you on! Samurott! Use Hydro Cannon!" Hugh ordered. Samurott unleashed Hydro Cannon right at Charizard, landing a hit.
"Charizard! Use Power-Up Punch on that Samurott!" The leading Team Shadow peon ordered. Charizard came right at Samurott with Power-Up Punch.
"Dodge and use Razor Shell!" Hugh ordered. Samurott came right at Charizard with Razor Shell and lands a slash onto the flame Pokémon. "That was great, Samurott!"
"I'm not done yet! Use Blast Burn!" The leading Team Shadow peon ordered.
"Water Pledge!" Hugh ordered. Samurott unleashes a powerful water attack and all the remaining Charizard all get struck by Samurott's Water Pledge. They were all knocked out.
"Retreat!" The leading Team Shadow peon ordered, calling back the Charizard. Once they were all back inside, they all fled.
"And don't come back!" Rosa called out to them.
Over to Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Hilbert, Nate, Bianca, Pikachu, Eevee, Angel, and Azurill met up with Karen, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Meowth, and the four Pikachu.
"Made contact with the police?" Sora asked.
"Yeah. They're on their way over!" Ventus said.
"That's good," Nate said.
Sora looked right at the four Pikachu. Sora knew Pikachu aren't from Unova, but he knew something was up with them.
"Where did those Pikachu come?" Sora asked.
"Would you believe that they came along when we were ambushed?" Karen asked.
"Ambushed?" Kairi asked.
The female Pikachu with the flower went over to Sora's Pikachu and sniffed him. Her face lit up and embraced him.
"Pika!" The female Pikachu with the flower embraced the male Pikachu, much to his confusion.
"Pika?" Sora's Pikachu asked.
Angel was starting to get jealous of a female Pikachu flirting with her boyfriend.
"Pika, Pika, Pikachu, Pika!" The female Pikachu with the flower said happily.
"Pi?" Sora's Pikachu asked.
Meowth understood all that.
"Wait a minute, is what you're saying true?" Meowth asked with a hint of surprise. Everyone all looked right at the scratch cat Pokémon.
"Meowth, what did she say?" Karen asked.
"Okay, that girl Pikachu just said that there was no denying that they're related to each other!" Meowth translated.
"Pi?!" Sora's Pikachu exclaimed with shock.
"Vee?!" Angel also exclaimed.
"You mean, they're brother and sister the same way Sora and Karen are?" Bianca asked.
"That's she said. It turns out, Pikachu can tell who's related to who just by smell; something humans can't do," Meowth said.
"First Sora, and now Pikachu," Ventus said.
"Chu," Sora's Pikachu said, trying to take it all in.
"If that's the case, then the apple doesn't fall far from the tree," Hilbert said.
"As much as I am now part of this family reunion, but we have a more important thing to worry about, like putting a stop to Team Shadow," Riku pointed out.
"He's right. Those guys has to be dealt with," Sora said.
"Then, we should go and deal with them," Kairi said.
"Eevee!" Angel said.
"You ready to go, Sparky?" Ventus aasked.
"Pika!" The Pikachu replied.
"Sparky?" Bianca asked.
"That's what I decided to call him," Ventus said. "And besides, he likes it."
"Pikachu!" Sparky said, adding onto Ventus's point.
"Okay, let's go!" Sora said.
So, joined by his sister, cousin, and other friends, the group searched the grounds for any signs of Dakim.
Over to Dakim, he had Trip tied up with his hands behind his back.
"What do you want me for?" Trip asked.
"Not a thing from you, so pipe down, unless you want me to punch you again!" Dakim barked.
"Just who exactly are you?" Trip asked.
"All you need to know that the world will soon belong to all of Team Shadow. The world will soon be covered in eternal darkness," Dakim said.
"Eternal darkness?" Trip asked.
"I wouldn't expect you to get it. You're too ignorant to get it," Dakim said. Trip glared at him when Dakim insulted him.
"If you could cover the world in darkness, what do you get out of it?" Trip asked.
"I have what I need; total strength! More strength than any human being or Pokémon can even imagine!" Dakim stated. "In the new way of the world, the strong will rule over the weak as it was intended! Weak people cannot be trusted to self rule, so we have to lead them in the right direction by mere force!"
"Why are you taking over this stadium? What will it benefit you?" Trip asked.
"I'm demonstrating that I am the strongest man on this entire planet! A force to be reckoned with! Someone who doesn't take shit from anyone! You should ask those Team Plasma jokers I beat the living shit out of!" Dakim said. "And I did it with my bare hands!"
"You think you can get away with this, then you're just a muscle-headed ego maniac," Trip said.
"Say what you want about me, kid. Sooner or later, you will be afraid of me. You're not afraid of me now, but I can change that," Dakim said.
Not too far, Sora, Kairi, Karen, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Hilbert, Nate, Bianca, and the Pokémon all show up.
"I'm going to guess that's Dakim, right?" Hilbert questioned.
"Same here," Terra said.
"It looks like Trip found him before we did," Naminé said.
"And I'm going to guess that he also battled him and lost," Nate added.
"We'll have to deal with him," Karen said.
"Okay," Sora said.
They all went towards Dakim. Trip sees them coming and called out to them.
"What are you doing here?! I told you I don't need your help!" Trip called out. Dakim turned around and he grinned.
"Sora Ketchum. I heard that you gave Miror B such a hard time. The same can be said for your girl who did the same to Lovrina," Dakim said.
"We have an act to get on the nerves of you bad guys!" Sora said.
"You think I'm a bad guy? What makes me a bad guy, if I may ask?" Dakim asked.
"For one thing, you came here and you took over this stadium when it's public property, and you took our friends hostage," Sora said. Trip was surprised to hear that from Sora.
"And you might as well give it up, because we took down some of your lackeys," Terra said.
"Anyone can defeat all those weaklings. So, what chance do you have against me?" Dakim asked.
"There were evil villains that thought like you do, but we made them regret thinking that," Sora said.
"Pika!" Sora's Pikachu said.
Karen stepped up.
"I don't know who you are, but I know enough!" Karen said. "Just what gives you the right to talk down on your own people?"
"I can speak anyway I want about them, because they are expendable. When the world is ours, I will make it my goal that the strong gets everything, and the weak gets nothing!" Dakim said. Karen didn't like how that came out.
"Just because you're strong, it doesn't give you the right to do whatever you want to whoever you want! Nothing gives you that right!" Karen said. "All that makes you is a bully and a coward!"
"Big talk, little girl. But you won't even last five minutes against me," Dakim said. The female Pikachu with the flower stepped in.
"Pika!" The female Pikachu said. Karen looked right at her.
"You want to go in?" Karen asked.
"Pika," the female Pikachu nodded.
"If you're willing to go through with this, then I'll support you all the way!" Karen said. Dakim laughed.
"You think you can beat me with that little powder puff?" Dakim taunted.
"I don't think I can! I know I can! She's got more than enough juice to take you down!" Karen said.
"I could use some more amusement. Let's see if you'll do better than he did!" Dakim said taking off his necklace and opened one of them. "Come on out, Camerupt!" Out came his Camerupt.
"Aw man, a Camerupt! This is going to he hard for Karen," Sora said.
"Okay, Camerupt is a Fire Type and a Ground Type, so Electric Type moves will have zero effect on it, so there's a move I know will work! Double Kick!" The female Pikachu jumped and gave a couple of kicks to the eruption Pokémon.
"Camerupt! Take Down!" Dakim ordered. Camerupt charged right at the female Pikachu, landing a hit. "Take Down again!" Camerupt charges right at the female Pikachu.
"Quickly, dodge it!" Karen called out. The female Pikachu dodges just by jumping out of its path. "Now use Quick Attack!" The female Pikachu dashed right at the eruption Pokémon with Quick Attack. "Double Kick!" She gave a couple of kicks to Camerupt.
"Flamethrower!" Dakim ordered. Camerupt unleashed Flamethrower. She gets hit hard by Flamethrower. "Now use Earthquake!" Camerupt slammed its front hooves to the ground, making the whole place shake. She fell on the ground after trying to keep her balance.
"Hang in there," Karen pleaded.
"Camerupt! Take Down!" Dakim ordered. Camerupt charged right at the female Pikachu and lands another hit onto her.
"No!" Karen gasped.
Camerupt then gave off a sparkle of electricity.
"What's happening?!" Dakim exclaimed.
"Camerupt's paralyzed! Now's your chance, Karen!" Sora said.
"Right! Use Double Kick!" Karen ordered. The female Pikachu gave Camerupt another Double Kick. "Keep up the Double Kick!" And she does. The rest of the group all watched in awe as the female Pikachu bombards Camerupt with a series of Double Kicks. "And now, use Quick Attack!" She launches herself like a rocket and conks Camerupt on the head, resulting in a knockout. Dakim growled in anger.
"My Camerupt was defeated by a snot-nosed Pikachu?!" Dakim exclaimed.
"She was and don't you forget it!" Karen said.
"Pika!" The female Pikachu said. Dakim called Camerupt back and he jumped right into the air.
"This battle's yours, girl, but you won't be so lucky next time!" Dakim stated.
Dakim takes off as Sora unties Trip.
"If you're thinking that I should thank you, you can forget it," Trip said.
"What's wrong with you? We just helped you out and you're just throwing it back in our faces?" Riku asked, getting annoyed by Trip's attitude.
"Why should I be grateful? Nobody asked for your help, but you did anyway," Trip said. Riku was about to give him a punch in the face when Cheren stopped him.
"Let it go, Riku. Trip has never shown any humility," Cheren said. Trip took his leave for the Pokémon Center as the police has arrived and apprehended the members of Team Shadow that didn't escape in time. Hilbert, Nate, and the other Unova trainers went to the Pokémon Center to heal their Pokémon from those intense battles. Don George was really grateful to their efforts.
"Thank you all for your help," Don George said.
"It's the least we can do," Sora said.
"Yeah. We sent those guys packing! Isn't that right, Sparky?" Ventus asked, rubbing his head.
"Pika!" Sparky said.
"And the one who really saved the day was Karen when she took down Dakim," Terra said.
"Pikachu!" The strongest Pikachu agreed.
"Not even a trainer and she handled that creep like Sora would have," Aqua said.
"Pika, Pika," the first female Pikachu said. Karen and the Pikachu with the flower looked at each other.
"We make a pretty good team. Wouldn't you say?" Karen asked.
"Pi," the female Pikachu with the flower responded.
"And since you and Sora's Pikachu are brother and sister like me and Sora, how would you like to be my partner?" Karen offered. "It'll be a good chance for us to get to know each other, and you to get to know your brother. So, how about it?" The female Pikachu with the flower smiled and she nuzzled Karen. "I'll take that for a yes. And I figured I can give you a nickname. And since that's a pretty flower, I think I'll call you Blossom." The female Pikachu smiled as she liked the nickname very much.
"Pika," Blossom said.
"I think that's a pretty name for her," Kairi said.
"Vee," Angel agreed.
Kairi looked right at Terra, Aqua, and the other two Pikachu.
"What about you? Will you keep them with you?" Kairi asked. Terra and Aqua looked right at the two Pikachu.
"I might as well. And since Ven's calling that Pikachu Sparky, I'll call this one Thor," Terra said.
"Pikachu!" Thor said, liking the new nickname.
"And I'll call this one Eclair," Aqua said.
"Pi," Eclair said, liking the nickname. With that said, Sora gave his sister and cousin each a Pokéball as Kairi did the same with Terra and Aqua.
"A Pokéball?" Terra asked.
"Thought we should make it official with your own Pokéballs," Sora said.
Karen, Ventus, Terra, and Aqua placed a a Pokéball in front of the Pikachu.
"How about, Blossom? Wanna be partners?" Karen asked.
"Pi!" Blossom said.
"I think Thor and I are going to get along just fine," Terra said.
"Same with me and Eclair," Aqua said.
"Yeah, me and Sparky can be a real team!" Ventus said.
"Pika!" Sparky agreed.
"Will you be able to take care of Sparky, Ven?" Aqua asked.
"I can have Sora and Kairi teach me how," Ventus said.
"Chu," Sparky said.
"Besides, ever since I first met Pikachu, I wanted my first Pokémon to be a Pikachu," Ventus said.
"Well, I think the two of you have a great aroma together. The same can be said with Blossom, Thor, and Eclair," Cilan stated.
"Pika, Pika," Thor said.
"Pi, Pikachu, Pika," Eclair said.
"Pika," Pikachu said.
"Just come to us if you need some advice to take care of Sparky, Ven," Kairi said.
"I will!" Ventus said.
"Then, let's get it over with," Terra said.
Sparky, Blossom, Thor, and Eclair pressed the buttons on the Pokéballs and they flow inside. Stars swirls around the Pokéballs to confirm the catch. Karen, Ventus, Terra, and Aqua each had their own Pokémon, and each one is a Pikachu.
Over to the police station, the Team Shadow peons were placed inside the cells before the lights go off.
"Someone turn the lights back on!" Officer Jenny said. The lights come on and sees the peons gone. "What the hell?!"
"Where did they go?" Another police officer asked.
Unknown by anyone, it was actually Xande's handy work. He used a magic spell to teleport the captured peons. Not even they knew how they got out.
"It is done, my lord," Xande said.
Right at the Pokémon Center, news has gone around that the Clubsplosion Tournament is now back on track. So now, Sora, Riku, Hilbert, Nate, Cheren, Bianca Cilan, Iris Trip, Burgundy, Stephan, three trainers by the names of Betty, Angus, and Getty, a trainer named Montgomery, and a trainer named Rydia were all competing. Sixteen are entering, but only one will win first prize! Who will it be? Just wait and see!
