Episode 467: Battling the Leaf Thieves
A day had passed since the Clubsplosion Tournament had reached its conclusion, and by then, Sora, Kairi, Karen, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Cilan, Iris, and the Pokémon all did some traveling as well as some training. Sora had Gurdurr spar with Thor as Pignite, Eelektrik, Blitzle, and Sora's Amoongus were sparring with Deino. Kairi had Angel spar with Blossom as Vullabye, Lilligant, Whimsicott, Munna, and Deerling were sparring with Pansange, Ferroseed, Cilan's Amoongus, Druddigon, and Eclair. Meowth even got into the action.
The training went on as Gurdurr, Blitzle, and Deerling all evolved. Not only Sora and Kairi wanted to train for their challenges, but to be ready when Team Shadow launches their assault again. The same can be said for Team Plasma.
They trained for days as Sora exchanged his entire team, except for Pikachu for Litwick, Joltik, Scraggy, Drilbur, and Trubbish. They trained for hours and they only time they took a break were when they were to sleep or have a meal. In the results of their training, Joltik, Scraggy, Drilbur, Litwick, and Trubbish all evolved.
A few more days later, Sora exchanged his entire team with Sawk, Throh, Whirlipede, Golett, and Rufflet. Whirlipede spared with Druddigon as Sawk and Throh spared with each other. The experience caused Whirlipede to become a Scolipede. Golett was sparring with Pansage to sharpen his skills. As result, Golett had evolved into a Golurk.
Kairi had exchanged Munna for Ducklett and spared with Deino, causing Ducklett to evolve into a Swanna.
Sora and his friends kept on training right up to when they attracted the attention of a Pawniard. The Pawniard launched its attack on the group.
"A Pawniard!" Ventus called out. The Pawniard went for Golurk and attacked with Metal Claw. He then heads for Sawk and Throh.
"Sawk! Karate Chop!" Sora ordered. Sawk swung his hand down, but Pawniard dodges and gave the karate Pokémon a Night Slash. "Throh! Use Vital Throw!" Throh moved in to grab Pawniard, but Pawniard dodges that and lands an Iron Head. Golurk stands back up. "Golurk! Use Shadow Punch!" Golurk lands a Shadow Punch onto the sharp blade Pokémon. "Now, use High Horsepower!" Golurk went running towards Pawniard and lands a hit onto it. Pawniard gets back up.
"Pawniard still wants to keep on fighting after taking those hits?" Karen asked.
"Pikachu," Blossom said.
"This one is a tad on the aggressive side," Terra said.
"A tad?" Iris deadpanned.
"He's making his move again!" Kairi said. Pawniard came right at Golurk again and lands another Night Slash, causing some heavy damage to him.
"Golurk! High Horsepower again!" Sora ordered. Golurk came right at Pawniard with another High Horsepower and lands another hit. Pawniard came at Golurk with Iron Head and lands a hit onto it. "Golurk! Mega Punch!" Golurk lands a Mega Punch onto Pawniard again.
"Way to go, Golurk!" Ventus said.
"That was awesome!" Iris exclaimed.
"It's not over yet," Aqua said.
And she was right. Pawniard gave Golurk a slash with Metal Claw followed by Iron Head.
"Shadow Punch!" Sora ordered. Golurk lands a Shadow Punch onto Pawniard. The sharp blade Pokémon came right at Golurk with a Night Slash. "Another Shadow Punch!" Golurk lands another Shadow Punch onto Pawniard. "High Horsepower!" Golurk lands a hit onto Pawniard.
"How is he still going?" Ventus asked.
"If I have to guess, Pawniard is interested into fighting opponents much larger than himself. The bigger the opponent, the more challenging the fight," Cilan deduced. Pawniard starts panting out of exhaustion.
"Pawniard is getting pooped," Meowth said.
"Sora, the only way to stop that Pawniard is to capture it," Cilan said.
"Got it," Sora said, taking out a Pokéball and threw it. The Pokéball struck Pawniard and he flows inside. The Pokéball wobbles around very violently. Sora knew he wasn't going to stay in that easily. It kept on wobbling and wobbling until stars swirls around it to confirm the catch. Sora's Pokémon Box goes off asking him if he wants to keep Pawniard. He chose to send Pawniard to Professor Oak's lab.
"That was close," Ventus said.
"That Pawniard is tough," Karen said.
"Yeah, but at least he got him before it got worse," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"How about we take a break for a while?" Aqua asked.
"Good idea. I could use a break," Sora said.
The group went off to find a spot to rest up for a while. Elsewhere, a Heatmor is strolling through the woods. Suddenly, its stomach goes off. The Heatmor went to find something to eat. The Heatmor has stumbled on a tree filled with apples. Heatmor started to pick as many as it could hold and sat down to eat them. A Durant came walking by and saw the Heatmor. The anteater Pokémon waved at the iron ant Pokémon just took off. The Heatmor showed no interest in chasing the Durant, so it went back to eating the apples.
Most Heatmor would have chased after a running Durant, but this one is entirely different. It turns out that this Heatmor is a vegetarian.
Back to the group, they rested their feet after some training as Kairi cuddles up to Sora.
"Man, what a workout," Sora said.
"I'll say it is," Kairi agreed.
"So, what plan do you have for the Contest, Kairi?" Sora asked.
"Well, I heard that it's going to be a triple performance. It's kinda like the double performance in Sinnoh, but you use three on the stage," Kairi explained. "So maybe, I could use Angel, Swanna, and Sawsbuck for the contest."
"Wow, a triple performance. That's a new one on me," Sora said.
"And there's more. There's also going to be a triple battle after the appeals round, so it'll be interesting," Kairi said.
"Just know that I will root for you all the way," Sora said. That made Kairi smile as she gave Sora a kiss on the cheek.
"Thank you, Sora. I'll root for you just like I have always have," Kairi said. Sora smiled before he kissed Kairi on the lips. Just then, a lone Durant patrols the area.
"Must protect the colony! The royalty commands it!" - Durant subtitle. The lone Durant kept patrolling the area when a Galvantula came on down. The Durant attacked with its mandibles and gave the Galvantula a bite and then a toss. "No one threatens the colony and walks! The royalty forbids it!" - Durant subtitle. The Galvantula tried to attack again, but the Durant attacked with Crunch and sends Galvantula flying.
Back to the group, Sora and Pikachu went to find some berries to pick.
"We've been training for days now, and we could use some more berries to build up your strength," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
Sora and Pikachu eventually found what they were looking for.
"Yeah! Oran Berries, Sitrus Berries, Cheri Berries, and the works," Sora said. Sora and Pikachu were about to pick as many as they could, but a Ferroseed attacks them. This Ferroseed is much larger than the one Cilan has. "A Ferroseed! And a pretty big one, too." The Ferroseed attacked Pikachu with its spikes giving off a metallic glow.. "Dodge it, Pikachu!" Pikachu dodges Ferroseed's Tackle. Ferroseed misses its mark. "That Ferroseed has such an attitude! Pikachu! Thunder!" Pikachu unleashed Thunder and gave Ferroseed quite a shock. It does little damage since Ferroseed is a Grass Type Pokémon. Ferroseed fires a Mirror Shot right at Pikachu. "Dodge and use Iron Tail!" Pikachu jumps and swings his tail at the thorn seed Pokémon. "Thunderbolt!" Pikachu unleashed Thunderbolt right at Ferroseed, landing a paralysis onto Ferroseed. Sora took out a Pokéball and threw it. Ferroseed flows inside and the Pokéball wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch. Sora's Pokémon Box goes off asking him if he wants to keep Ferroseed with him. He chose to send Ferroseed to Professor Oak's lab. "Okay, now let's get to some picking."
"Chu," Pikachu said.
Sora and Pikachu picked as many as they could carry and made it back to the camp.
"What took you so long?" Karen asked.
"Just a Ferroseed with a bad attitude," Sora said.
"Chu," Pikachu said.
"But the good news is, it won't be giving us any trouble," Sora said.
"I doubt Ferroseed will," Kairi agreed.
On the very next day, Sora had exchanged his entire team for Pansage, Panpour, Pansear, Swadloon, and Herdier. Sora and Iris were doing some sparring with Swadloon and Deino battling.
"Okay Swadloon! Tackle!" Sora ordered. Swadloon charges right at Deino.
"Deino! Use Dragon Rage!" Iris ordered. Deino unleashed Dragon Rage right at Swadloon landing a hit.
"Energy Ball!" Sora ordered. Swadloon fires Energy Ball right at Deino, landing some damage.
"Okay, Sparky, I want you to pay attention. Watching other Pokémon battle each other is a good way of learning," Ventus said.
"Pika," Sparky said.
"String Shot!" Sora ordered. Swadloon fired String Shot right at Deino.
"Dodge it now!" Iris called out. Deino tried to dodge the attack, but he gets caught in the strings.
"Very good, Swadloon! Use Razor Leaf!" Sora ordered. Swadloon unleashed Razor Leaf and it struck Deino hard.
"Wow! Swadloon's good!" Iris complimented.
"Using String Shot to get Deino stop moving and then using Razor Leaf was smart! A combination made from a delightfully delectable blend!" Cilan said.
"Use Dragon Breath!" Iris ordered. Deino spews Dragon Breath right at Swadloon, sending him rolling. "Now use Crunch!" Deino broke out of the strings and then grabs Swadloon and sent him flying. Swadloon rolled on his back and right to his front.
"Get up, Swadloon!" Sora said. Swadloon then started to evolve. "Swadloon!"
"Swadloon's evolving!" Kairi said.
"Vee!" Angel said.
Swadloon had now evolved right into a Leavanny.
"Leavanny!" The newly evolved Leavanny said.
"That was great, Leavanny," Sora said. He looked right at Deino. "It looks like Leavanny's evolution is all because of you." Deino beamed. Leavanny looked at Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, Blossom, Sparky, Thor, Eclair, and Axew and went off to the nearby trees. "Where are you going?" Leavanny took some leaves from the trees and started to work on them. Leavanny made some clothes for the smaller Pokémon.
"I get it. Leavanny is using his silk to stick the leaves together to make clothes for smaller Pokémon," Ventus said. Leavanny presented Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, Axew, Blossom, Thor, Eclair, and Sparky the leafy clothes.
"Sewaddle, Sewaddle, Sewaddle," three sad voices cried. The cries came from three Sewaddle and their leaves are dried out.
"Three Sewaddle," Kairi said.
"They're sad because their leaves are all dry," Karen said. Leavanny got to work and made some new clothes for the Sewaddle. They were all happy. "Oh, that's just cute, seeing Sewaddle so happy."
"Pikachu," Blossom said.
"Say, don't Leavanny evolve from Sewaddle before becoming Swadloon?" Ventus asked.
"That's right, Ven. Leavanny makes new clothes for Sewaddle when theirs are dried and old," Cilan said. Sora then gets a fun idea.
"Wait a minute, I think I got an idea," Sora said, letting out Pansage, Pansear, and Panpour. The elemental monkey Pokémon all looked at Leavanny. "Have a good look, guys. Swadloon had just evolved into a Leavanny. Say hello." Pansage, Panpour, and Pansear all waved at Leavanny. He gets some leaves and made some clothes for each one of them. Pansage, Pansear, and Panpour got the leafy clothes and Leavanny had them wear them.
"Looking good, guys," Sora said.
Some leaves are blown in a breeze as one big one gets on Axew's face. Leavanny gets to work on making a costume for Axew, making him look like a superhero.
"You look just like a superhero! Cool!" Iris said happily.
"Presenting the Leaf Mask!" Cilan proclaimed.
"Looks like you might get recruited to join the Avengers, Axew," Sora said.
"Pika!" Pikachu added.
"Here to fight for truth and justice against the forces of evil," Meowth said. The scratch cat Pokémon started to yawn. "I don't know about the rest of you, but I think I could go for a cat nap." Axew started to yawn.
"Axew, you're sleepy, too," Iris said. She started to yawn. "Me too. We did get up super early this morning to do some training," Iris said.
"Then it's siesta time," Cilan said.
"Siesta time? You do mean nap time, right?" Iris asked.
"Technically it's the same thing, but it's a good idea. We could use the break from all the training we have been doing."
With that settled, Sora, Kairi, Karen, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, and the Pokémon all started to take a nap. All the Pokémon, except for Axew had taken off all their leaves.
Meanwhile in New York city, we have the Ninja Turtles driving in a large van that is built kinda like a turtle. Leonardo is driving the vehicle with Raphael in front. Michaelangelo pops up from the back.
"Shell Raiser in full effect, yo!" Mikey exclaimed.
"In full effect? We're losing Karai! Move it, Leo!" Raphsaid.
Donatello is tracking their enemies through the T-phones.
"According to the GPS, they're heading to the New York natural history museum," Donnie said.
"Dudes, I hear that they're having an awesome laser show at midnight," Mikey said.
"I doubt they're going to a laser show, Mikey," Leo said. "Ten bucks and peanut butter, chocolate chip, and pepperoni pizzas says they're after something in there," Leo said.
"Duh! It could be some weapon that Shredder wants so bad like a magical sword to use against us," Raph said.
"Whatever it is, we can't let them get it," Leo said. "We're getting close."
In the van in front of them, there is a Japanese woman wearing ninja armor and she has a symbol that looks like a foot on the buckle. She has long black hair and two katannas on her back. Driving the car is a humanoid warthog wearing a red vest and purple visors. He has a purple mohawk and a nose ring. He also wore black jeans and red sneakers. In the back is a humanoid rhino with a white undershirt with a blade on his back. He also wore army camouflage pants, and wore large boots.
"Are we there yet? This place is cramped, my foot's falling asleep, and I'm getting a Charlie horse!" The humanoid rhino complained.
"Pipe down, Rocksteady," the humanoid warthog said with an African-American voice. "I'm the one who has to drive you guys around." The woman was getting annoyed.
"Will you two idiots be quiet for ten seconds? I'm making a plan to steal the crystal!" The woman said, getting back to planning.
"Okay, Karai, I not say another word," Rocksteady said.
"You're talking right now," Karai said. The humanoid warthog chuckled.
"She's got you there, Rock!" The humanoid warthog said.
"Now you're both talking! Bebop, just shut up and drive, or else you will be nothing but bacon strips if I hear one more word of you!" Karai threatened. Karai, Bebop, and Rocksteady came out of the van as the Ninja Turtles enters the museum ahead of them and snuck inside. They get in from the ceiling windows and hid in the shadows.
"Okay, ninjas. Stealthy," Leo said. The other turtles nodded as they snuck through the museum. They heard the door open, and it is Karai, Bebop, and Rocksteady walked in.
"I kinda spaced out what on the Shredder said what the mission was," Bebop said.
"Shredder says he's looking for a crystal. It's a rock from outer space with some special poopities," Rocksteady said. This made Bebop laugh.
"Poopities," Bebop repeated as he laughed.
"No, you morons. The crystal is an energy source that has been recently been unearthed, and Shredder sent us to retrieve it just so Kraang can use it to power up the Technodrome," Karai said. "With it, we can make the invasion a success."
"So, why does Kraang want it that badly?" Rocksteady asked.
"If you two would pay attention for about fifteen seconds, I wouldn't have to explain it to you again! The crystal has some kind of energy so powerful and so rare, even Utrom scientists couldn't handle it! But Kraang thinks he can," Karai said.
"Oh," Bebop and Rocksteady both said.
"Now come on, we got work to do," Karai said.
The turtles heard everything they needed to hear.
"Well, it's confirmed, they're going to use that crystal for the Technodrome," Donnie said.
"So, how is it going down, fearless leader?" Raph asked.
"Okay, Raph and Donnie, takes Rocksteady. Mikey, you got Bebop, I'll handle Karai," Leo said.
The turtles split up to take their opponents. Mikey took a few steps back and he looked at the skeleton of the tyrannosaurus rex. Karai, Bebop, and Rocksteady approach the crystal.
"Ooh, pretty," Rocksteady said.
"Man, wonder what money that rock can sell? That'll be tight!" Bebop said.
Mikey reached his arm out, but he tried to fight back, but the will of his arm was too great.
"Mustn't touch. Mustn't touch," Mikey said, trying to stop himself. Mikey touches the foot of the t rex, but it fell apart a few seconds later.
"MIKEY!" The other turtles turned. Karai, Bebop, and Rocksteady heard the crash.
"Turtles! Get them!" Karai ordered.
"Got it, boss lady!" Rocksteady said, charging right towards the Ninja Turtles. Leonardo drew out his swords as did Karai. They clashed their blades.
"Leonardo, you never fail to disappoint," Karai said.
"Neither do you, Karai!" Leo said.
"Still, you should know by now that I am a sensi, and you are barely a student!" Karai said, knocking one of Leo's swords out his hand. He grips the other sword in his hand and he swings it at her. Karai blocks the blade as they continued to clash their blades.
Bebop and Rocksteady dealt with the other three turtles.
"Have some of this, shellbacks!" Rocksteady said, taking out a machine gun. He fires it as Raph, Donnie, and Mikey jumped to avoid the bullets. Bebop ducks out of the way.
"Watch you're shooting, Rocksteady!" Bebop said. Donatello comes down and smacks Bebop in the face. "Oh, it is on, turtle!" He took out a laser gun and fired. He misses as Bebop chases him. "Hold still! How can I kill you if you keep on moving?!" He fired again and again. Raph and Mikey gave Rocksteady a kick in the face.
"Cowabunga," Mikey said.
"Oh, I'm going to crush your skulls along with your shells!" Rocksteady said, charging towards Raph and Mikey. Raph and Mikey dodges him as he rams into Bebop.
Over to Leo and Karai, they kept on dueling each other. Leo pushes Karai to the ground and points his sword to her.
"You fight as well as usual, Karai. Give up while you still can," Leo said.
"Never," Karai said definitely.
"You lost, so surrender," Leo said.
"The Foot Clan doesn't know the meaning of surrender!" Karai said. Suddenly, ninjas wearing purple and black ninja outfits. They drew out their weapons. Leo groaned in annoyance.
"Should have realized it would be too easy," Leo said.
"Foot Clan! Kill them!" Karai ordered. The Foot ninjas launched their assault on the turtles as Karai took the crystal. Raph, Donnie, and Mikey fought them off as Rocksteady and Bebop joined right in. Leo took down a few of them as he saw Karai with the crystal.
"No you don't!" Leo stated, taking out a shuriken and threw it right at the crsytal. Karai drops it, making it break in half. Leo quickly gets to the half of the crystal as Karai took the other half. "Guys! Ninja vanish time!"
"Right!" Donnie said. They each took out a smoke bomb and used it to cover their escape. They came out the way they entered. By the time the smoke cleared, she saw the turtles were gone.
"Uh, Shredder's not going to be happy that the turtles took off," Bebop said.
"We got half of the crystal. We should report to my father," Karai said, exiting the way they entered.
The turtles made it back to the Shell Raiser and drove off with half the crystal.
"Donnie, open the secret tunnel!" Leo said.
"On it!" Donnie said, opening the secret tunnel, so they drive underneath it. Upon returning, they found Splinter waiting for them.
"Is your mission a success, my sons?" Splinter asked.
"Yes and no," Donnie answered.
"We did get the crystal," Mikey said.
"Just half of it," Donnie added.
"Shredder and Kraang are using it to power up the Technodrome, so we don't know what good it'll do with half the crystal," Raph said.
"You are right, Raphael, we don't know. Even with half a powerful gem, in the wrong hands, it can spell certain doom for the entire world," Splinter said.
"We gotta find Kraang and Shredder, and shut them down," Raph said.
"Raph, we don't know where to start looking. It'll take up time to find Kraang and Shredder," Leo said.
"I think I'll do some research on the half we got and see what kind of clue I can find," Donnie said.
"Cool! And I know how to kill some time!" Mikey said, getting set and started to chow down on some pizza and play some video games.
Back in Sora's world, the group were continuing with their nap when a small squad of Durant came. One Durant grabbed the leaf clothes that Leavanny had made as another grabbed Axew while wearing the clothes. The Durant took off while the group was still asleep. Sparky rolled over in his sleep. He opened his eyes as he saw Axew gone.
"PIKA!" Sparky shouted. This woke up the entire group.
"Sparky, what's wrong?" Ventus asked.
"Pika, Pika!" Sparky said, pointing to where Axew was sleeping.
"What do you mean Axew's gone?" Meowth asked.
"You're kidding!" Ventus said.
"Look, all the leaf clothing Leavanny are all gone as well," Cilan said.
"Vanny," Leavanny sadly said.
"How could this happen?" Sora asked.
"Who cares? We have to find Axew," Iris said.
"Right," Sora said. He looked at Herdier. "Okay, Herdier, sniff for Axew."
"Herdier," Herdier said. The loyal dog Pokémon started to sniff the ground for any signs. Herdier got the scent. "Dier! Herdier, Herd, Herdier!"
"He's got the scent!" Terra said.
"Dier!" Herdier said.
"He wants us to follow him," Meowth said.
"Good job. Lead the way," Sora said. Herdier led the group through the path where the two Durant had left. All the other Pokémon are called back inside except for Leavanny. They followed the loyal dog Pokémon down the path.
Just then, the vegetarian Heatmor was eating some fruit from a nearby tree as it spotted a Zorua by the tree. Heatmor saw the tricky fox Pokémon and handed a fruit to Zoura. Zorua happily ate the fruit when they saw the two Durant with the leaves. Heatmor didn't even pay attention to them since it knew they would only run from it. Zoura fell right to sleep. After a few minutes, the anteater Pokémon heard something.
"You sure Axew's gone this way, Herdier?" Iris asked with worry.
"Dier," Herdier said.
"Herdier's schoze should point us this way," Meowth said.
"He's right, we should trust Herdier's nose," Terra said. Heatmor was quite interested in the group of humans for a reason, so it decided to follow them.
Underneath New York, we enter a large spherical fortress. Karai stood before a heavily armored man. He wore a helmet over his head and a plate over his mouth. It was indeed the Shredder.
"Father," Karai said. "I have half the crystal. It would still be full if it had not been for the interference of the turtles," Karai said.
"The turtles has been a great deal of trouble to me. Regardless, you have done well, Karai," Shredder said. Karai bowed her head in respect.
Back in Unova, the group continued to follow Herdier sniffing the trail. The lone Durant spotted the group and the group. It went up to the group and attacked.
"A Durant!" Cilan exclaimed.
"Rant, Dur, Dur, Durant ant!" Durant said.
"Meowth, you think you could translate?" Iris asked.
"That Durant is saying that we're enemies who dare to attack the colony," Meowth translated.
"Durant, ant, Durant, Durant, ant, Durant, Durant Durant, Du, Dur, Durant," Durant said.
"I must defend the colony from anyone who would attack it, the royalty commands it," Meowth translated.
"Royalty?" Iris asked.
"If what that Durant is saying is true, then there must be a Durant colony nearby," Cilan said.
"Look, Durant, we're not picking a fight with you, we're just trying to save a friend of ours, an Axew," Sora said.
"Durant, rant, Durant, ant, ant!" Durant said.
"You won't sway me, enemies of the royalty!" Meowth translated.
"If you won't move, then we'll make you move!" Sora said, taking out Pansear's Pokéball. He was about to throw it when Heatmor came to their aide. Durant then attacked Heatmor. The anteater Pokémon ran around with Durant chasing it. The group were confused by what they were seeing. "Any idea on what's going on?"
"Not in the slightest," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"Come on! Axew needs us!" Iris said.
"Right! Axew's counting on us!" Sora said. He looked right at Herdier. "Okay, as you were!" Herdier nodded.
The group continued to follow Herdier to find out where Axew is. The trail ends at a cave.
"Axew is in that cave?" Ventus asked.
"It looks that way," Karen said.
"Guy's something coming," Aqua said.
And it is a Durant carrying some leaves on its a Durant.
"Another Durant," Terra said. The Durant went inside the cave. That's they figured out what it is.
"That has got to be a Durant colony," Kairi said.
"Agreed. And I think I just figured out that it was those Durant were the ones who took Axew," Cilan said.
"Then, we gotta go in and save Axew," Iris said.
"Hold on. Going in is easy, but getting out is tricky. A Durant's colony is like a maze," Cilan said.
"Meaning we will be lost in there forever if we take a wrong turn," Karen said.
"That's not good," Ventus said.
They walked towards the entrance of the cave.
"So, any ideas?" Sora asked.
"Vanny," Leavanny said, using his silk to mark the way.
"Of course your silk! Good thinking, Leavanny!" Sora said.
"It'll mark our way out," Kairi said.
"Eevee!" Angel said.
"Wow, you sure smart, Leavanny!" Iris said.
"Okay, we're going in. If it's as easy to get lost in there as Cilan said, then we should stay together," Sora said.
With that said, they went inside with Leavanny leaving the silk to mark their way out. They ventured their way in the tunnel only to find a couple of tunnels.
"Which way do we go?" Karen asked.
"Okay, we'll take the one on the left first," Sora said. With that said, they took the path on the left. Upon going down, they end up at a dead end. "So much for the left."
"We'll have to go back," Kairi said.
"Right," Sora said.
With that, they went back out with Leavanny eating the silk.
"Now we know that's not the way," Terra said.
"Right," Aqua said, pointing to the right.
"Leavanny, you know what to do," Sora said. With that said, Leavanny leaves the silk behind as they went down the path. They came across more tunnels at the end. "What now?" Cilan stroked his chin.
"Hold on, those Durant took the leaves, correct?" Cilan asked.
"Yeah," Meowth said.
"They took the leaf clothing Leavanny made, plus Axew was wearing leaf clothing," Cilan said.
"Makes sense," Ventus said.
"What are you getting at?" Terra asked.
"So instead of having to look for the Durant and for Axew, we lure the Durant right to us," Cilan said.
"How?" Sora asked.
"One of us will have to be wrapped in leaves and wait for the Durant to come.
"Then what?" Iris asked.
"Then, the Durant will carry them to where they keep all the leaves," Cilan said. "And that means, straight to Axew!"
"Yeah!" Iris cheered.
"Do, who's going to get wrapped up?" Sora asked. Everyone all looked right at Sora and get an idea. Sora gets wrapped up in the leaves by Leavanny. "Why me, guys?"
"The problem is, I'm too tall," Cilan said.
"Same here," Terra said.
"I would be glad to do it, but my hair will just get in the way," Iris said.
"Also, it's too good to see you look like a leafy mummy," Ventus said.
Leavanny puts one more leaf to cover Sora's face.
"Now that the bait is set, we wait," Cilan said.
They didn't wait for long for two Durant to come out and see the leaves in front of them.
"We must have missed these." - Durant 1 subtitle.
"Let's just take these back to the pile." - Durant 2 subtitle.
The two Durant lifts Sora up, unaware that it's really him.
"It's working," Ventus whispered. He turned to Leavanny. "Ready to mark the way back?"
"Leav," Leavanny said, using his silk to mark the way. They followed the Durant down the tunnel they went and placed him in the pile. He carefully looked around for any signs of Axew. He knew he would draw their attention if he wasn't careful. There were some Durant rolling up the leaves and then they started to eat them.
"The Durant uses the leaves for food," Cilan said.
"That explains a lot," Meowth said.
"Sora, do you see Axew?" Iris asked in a whisper. Sora motions to keep quite and that he's looking. He kept looking around and sees Axew, still asleep. He gave a thumbs up, letting them know that Axew is safe. "You found Axew!" Sora slowly moves towards the sleeping tusk Pokémon.
"Slowly, carefully. Mustn't draw attention to myself," Sora said in his thoughts. He tried to grab Axew, but he slipped and fell.
"This is bad!" Cilan said.
"No kidding, Sherlock!" Meowth said.
The Durant saw the group and alerted the rest of the Durant as they launched their attack on them. The Durant's mandibles become surrounded by black auras with a purple outlines. The auras then extend, and heads right towards Sora. He ducks his head as they hit the wall.
"The Durant are under the impression that we have come to steal their food!" Cilan said.
"We'll have to battle to get Axew back!" Sora said. One Durant came right at Leavanny with Iron Head, landing a hit. "Razor Leaf!" Leavanny fires Razor Leaf right at the Durant that attacked, but it used Protect to block. One Durant heads right towards Meowth with Iron Head.
"Hey! Watch it!" Meowth yelped. He got hit by the Durant. "Okay, Flick, here's a Fury Swipes!" Meowth attempts to swipe his claws at the iron ant Pokémon, but Meowth's attack bounces off.
"They keep using Protect!" Terra said.
"Unless we have a Pokémon that knows Feint, that's going to be a problem," Karen said.
"We could attack from two different sides at once," Cilan suggested.
"And that's what we're going to do," Terra said, taking out Thor's Pokéball. Karen, Ventus, and Aqua did the same thing.
"Right!" Karen, Ventus, and Aqua all said. they threw the Pokéballs, letting their Pikachu out.
"Blossom! Use Double Kick!" Karen ordered.
"Sparky! Electro Ball!" Ventus ordered.
"Thor! Use Mega Punch!" Terra ordered.
"Eclair! Use Surf!" Aqua ordered.
The four Pikachu launched their attacks on the Durant, but the attacks just bounced off with Protect.
"No good!" Iris said.
"How about this?" Aqua asked. "Eclair! Use Attract!" Eclair winked as hearts races towards the Durant. The hearts struck them, making them fall in love with her; most of them anyway. "Your move, Sora!"
"Right, Aqua! Leavanny! Energy Ball! Pikachu! Thunderbolt!" Sora ordered. Pikachu and Leavanny fired their attacks and they struck the Durant. All of the Durant were all taken down. Iris climbed up the pile.
"Axew! Axew, where are you?" Iris asked, searching for the tusk Pokémon. Iris found Axew, still sleeping. "Oh, Axew."
"Let's get out of here before they wake up!" Sora said.
"Vanny!" Leavanny said, eating the silk trail to get back. The group followed the nurturing Pokémon back to the entrance. They finally made it out of the Durant colony.
"That was close," Karen said.
"It was a good thing Eclair knows Attract, Aqua," Kairi said.
"Yes, a good thing," Aqua said. She looked right at Eclair. "Thank you, Eclair."
"Pikachu," Eclair said.
Back inside, the Durant all woke up and looked around. They wondered where they all went. They saw that not one leaf was stolen, so they happily ate their leaves, like nothing was wrong.
Back in New York in the Technodrome, a small pink brain-like alien inside the torso of a robot examined the crystal.
"The goal was to get the whole thing, not half!" The alien exclaimed.
"I delivered the crystal over to you as instructed, Kraang, so I fail to see why you're blaming me!" Shredder said.
"The crystal is supposed to be intact, because if it is damaged in anyway, then the power within will be unstable! Unless we get the other half, then it will result in an explosion! Fortunately, I can only be able to contain the energy leaking from inside it, but I may not be able to contain for long unless we have the other half."
"The turtles has the other half, and I know how to get it," Shredder said. He called out to his daughter. "Karai!" Karai enters the chamber and kneeled to him.
"Yes, father?" Karai asked.
"Head out and apprehend their human ally, April O'Neil," Shredder ordered.
"As you command, father. And I shall take a hand full of Foot soldiers with me," Karai said.
Back to the turtle's lair, Donnie was doing some tests on the crystal half and he didn't like the results of it.
"Uh-oh," Donnie said. Just then, Splinter and the rest of the turtles enters Donnie's lab.
"Donatello, what is the matter?" Splinter asked his third oldest son.
"Guys, we have a problem," Donnie said.
"What kind of trouble?" Leo asked.
"The crystal is unstable, that's what kind," Donnie said.
"What's the big deal, Donnie? It's just a rock," Raph said.
"That's just the thing. The crystal was giving off some kind of power inside it, but when we broke it in half, the crystal became unstable," Donnie said.
"Unstable?" Leo asked.
"Meaning, unless we get the other half, we'll have to put it in some kind of container," Donnie said.
"Ooh, ooh! How about we put it in the fridge?" Mikey suggested. "Or maybe in the freezer to cool it off?" Raph smacked Mikey at the head.
"No, you dumbass, he means put it in somewhere it won't be a problem," Raph said. "That's what you mean, right?"
"Of course," Donnie said. He took out a small container and placed it inside of it. "The good news is, it'll keep the crystal stable. The bad news is, it won't be able to sustain it for long. And I can bet my entire tech that Shredder and Kraang might have the same problem as us."
"What will happen if we don't get it back together?" Mikey asked.
"To be honest, I don't have the slightest idea," Donnie said. "It could result in an explosion, taking out New York, and the other states surrounding it along with a chunk of Canada, and leave a crater the size of Texas; or it might just wipe out all life in the exact same radius."
"So, we might be dead either way unless we don't get it back," Raph said.
"And even if we did get it, how would we get it together again?" Leo asked.
"We could just clue it back together," Mikey said.
"We'll worry about that until we get the other half," Leo said.
"I will go with you," Splinter said. "I doubt the Shredder will make our task easy."
Over in April's apartment, she had just walked in with a woman with brown hair tied in a ponytail. She wore a light blue turtleneck sweater, a long, light purple skirt, white leggings, yellow socks, and light brown loafers. She wears large-lensed eyeglasses with bright pink frames.
"Sorry to hear about your failed date, Irma," April said.
"It wouldn't have worked out anyway," Irma said. "Besides, it would have been worse. I would have been dating one of those aliens." Just then, several Foot ninjas came busting through the apartment. "Or someone from the Foot." They captured both of April and Irma as Karai entered through.
"Karai," April said.
"Good of you to show up, Miss O'Neil," Karai ssaid. "Now that you're here, we can get started." She took one of the T-phones and dials the number.
Over to the Ninja Turtles, they had just emerged from the sewers, and one of their T-phones goes off. Leo answers it.
"Leo here," Leo answered.
"Hello, Leonardo," Karai greeted.
"Karai," Leo said.
"We have April O'Neil and her friend with us as hostages. And if you want to see them alive, then you will hand over the other half of the crystal," Karai said. Leo grits his teeth. "You have one hour or else they die. Meet us at TCRI by then. And hurry up, because the clock is ticking." She breaks contact.
"Dammit! The Foot got April and Irma," Leo growled.
"What do we do?" Mikey asked.
"We have no choice but to give them the other half," Leo said.
"You're kidding, right?" Raph asked.
"April and Irma will die if we refuse. We don't have a choice," Leo said.
"I suppose not," Splinter said.
"Okay, Donnie, you and Mikey head back to the lair and get the crystal half. Splinter, Raph, and I will find Casey and tell him what's going on. We'll meet at TCRI before we meet the deadline," Leo said. "Get it?"
Raph said, "Got it."
Donnie said, "Got it."
Mikey said, "I don't get it." Raph smacked him on the head. "Ouch!"
"Just go with Donnie!" Raph said.
"Okay, okay!" Mikey said.
Leo, Raph, and Splinter went one way to Casey's apartment when Donnie and Mikey set off to the lair to retrieve the crystal half.
Back in Unova, Axew had just woke up and slept through the excitement. They were heading back to the camp to pack up.
"I just can't believe that you would cause so much trouble when you sleep," Sora said.
"Xew," Axew said.
"But it was a good thing we got to you before something happened," Terra said.
"It's not like we're going to see anything else happen," Ventus said.
"Wanna bet?" Meowth asked, pointing to the Durant and Heatmor from before. The Durant was still chasing after Heatmor.
"Those two are still at it?" Sora asked.
"But shouldn't that Heatmor be chasing Durant?" Kairi asked. "They are supposed to eat Durant, right?"
"It is common knowledge that Durant is Heatmor's main source of food. I am curious on why this is going on," Cilan said.
Heatmor tripped as Durant moved in with a bite with its mandibles.
Durant, Du," Durant said.
"Still going on about some colony?" Meowth asked. Durant turned to face them and charged right at the group. "I just had to say something."
"Pikachu! Thunderbolt!" Sora ordered. Pikachu unleashed Thunderbolt and it gave Durant quite a shock. Durant became paralyzed from the attack. "Now use Iron Tail!" Pikachu swung his tail and he sends Durant flying. He took out a Pokéball and threw it. Durant flows inside it and the Pokéball wobbles around and around. It kept wobbling until stars swirls around it to confirm the catch. Sora's Pokémon Box goes off asking him if he wants to keep Durant with him. He chose to send Durant to Professor Oak's lab. "There." He approaches Heatmor. "You okay, Heatmor?"
"Heatmor," Heatmor said.
"Thanks for the distraction from before, but how come you weren't trying to eat that Durant?" Sora asked.
"Heatmor, mor, Heatmor," Heatmor said.
"What? That's it?" Meowth asked.
"What did he say?" Kairi asked.
"Heatmor just said that's he's a vegetarian," Meowth translated. Everyone were all surprised to hear what Heatmor said.
"You're a vegetarian?" Sora asked. Heatmor nodded.
"That's quite unusual," Cilan said.
"Same here," Terra said.
"Heatmor, Heat, Heatmor Heat, Heat," Heatmor said.
"Heatmor says that eating other Pokémon is wrong, so he's only eating some fruit and berries around here," Meowth translated.
"Well, that sounds like a healthy lifestyle," Sora said. "But there might be some fruit in Kanto you would enjoy." Heatmor looked right at Sora. "That's if you're interested." Heatmor nodded. "Okay." Sora took out a Pokéball and threw it. Heatmor flows inside and the Pokéball wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch. Sora's Pokémon Box goes off asking him if he wants to keep Heatmor with him. He chose to send Heatmor to Professor Oak's lab.
Over to Professor Oak's lab, Heatmor's Pokéball arrives.
"My, my, he has sent over another one. What did he send me now?" Professor Oak asked. He opened it and Heatmor came on out. "A Heatmor? First he sends a Durant and now a Heatmor. Quite curious." Heatmor looked around and spotted a tree filled with Wumpa fruit. Heatmor stepped out and uses his fiery tongue to grab the fruit. Heatmor instantly fell in love with the flavor and ate the fruit happily. "A Heatmor that eats fruit? Quite curious."
It would seem that the Wumpa fruit has become quite popular since Sora and Kairi's inter dimensional trips, so the fruit and the seeds were distributed worldwide.
Over in New York, a young man with messy black hair, wearing a red undershirt and blue jeans along with brown shoes. Leo, Raph, and Splinter all arrive.
"Casey," Raph called out from the window. He spots the turtles and rat.
"Guys, what's up? Purple Dragons back in business or is it the Foot again?" Casey asked.
"It's the Foot, Casey," Leo said. "They got April."
"What?! They got April again? Just lemme grab by gear," Casey said, grabbing his golf bag. It is has baseball bats, hockey sticks, and golf clubs. He grabs his ice hockey mask. "Casey Jones is ready to go."
Back to the lair, Donnie and Mikey grabs the crystal half and head out to TCRI.
Speaking of which, April and Irma are tied up. Karai speaks with Shredder through a communicator.
"Father, I have captured April O'Neil as instructed," Karai reported.
"Excellent, my daughter. The turtles should be on their way to your position with the crystal half.
"Indeed, father. The trap is set," Karai said. Just then, a man made entirely out of rock appears and takes both women with him as robot duplicates are placed.
Back in Unova, Sora, Kairi, Karen, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Cilan, Iris, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, and Axew continued on their way to Iccirus City.
"So, how further are we till we get to Iccirus City?" Sora asked.
"We should be there within a few days. The best way to get there is by heading up to Twist Mountain," Cilan said.
"Twist Mountain, got it," Sora said.
As they started to make their way towards Twist Mountain, they were unaware of a Zoura following them. Zoura chuckled as it knew some potential victims for some mischief.
