Around seven years had passed since the unfortunate events in Godric's Hollow and since Remus Lupin had woken up to find his Goddaughter curled up on his door step. The sun rose slowly and lit up the forest surrounding the the beautiful wooden cottage.
The biggest differences in the cottage, were the photographs on the mantelpiece that showed just how much time really had passed. Eight years ago, the walls had been bare but now they were filled with pictures of a pretty, grey eyed girl on her first day of Muggle school, the first time she flew on a broom, Christmases, birthdays and holidays.
Upstairs Maddison Lyra Potter was currently trying to sleep but her alarm clock had other plans. Ring! Ring! Ring! Maddie woke up with a start, as her alarm started going off. She groaned and tried to push the snooze button but then she remembered that her Hogwarts letter was supposed to arrive today.
After her eyes had adjusted to the light, she started to look around her room. The wall Infront of her was plastered with posters of her favourite Quidditch team (the Holidead Harpies) and her favourite singer and favourite show ( Katy Perry and Once Upon A Time). On the other wall their was a big pin bored full of pictures. She quickly hoped out of bed and put on some slipers.
Maddie carefully opened her gigantic walk-in closet and immerged a couple of minutes later fully clothed and ready for the day. Maddie was still quiet tall for her age and had was quiet skinny. Her curly dark- brown hair was just over her shoulder. Maddison also had dark red lips and stormy, grey eyes that always seemed to hold a mischievous glint. She had never lost her love for chaos (it had actually grown over the years) and loved to pull pranks on her Uncle. She was also very athletic and loved to play muggle sports and Quidditch. This didn't stop her love for fashion though.
She also loved going on adventures with her best friend Luna Lovegood. Luna was three years younger than Maddison but it didn't make a difference. Luna had soft blond hair and dreamy blue eyes. She also had a amazing imagination and believed in lots of different animals that no one else had ever heard about.
Another interesting fact about Maddison Potter was that she had an edictic memory which came as both a gift and a curse to her. On one hand she was already very advanced in her magic due to never beeing able to forget anything she saw, smelt or touched but on the other hand beeing able to remember the night of her parents clearly had lead to many nightmares.
She slowly walked down the stairs and into the living room where her Uncle were already waiting. Her Uncle was in Maddison's opinion the most amazing person in the world. He had been looking after her the past seven years and had given her an amazing childhood. Infront of him a large letter was lying infront of him a thick envelope made of Parchment lay on the table. The address had been written in emerald green ink and it said:

Maddie instantly ripped it open and started to read a loud.
"HOGWARTS SCHOOL
of WITCHCRAFT and WIZARDRY
Headmaster: Albus Dumbledore

Supreme Mugwump, International Confederate. of Wizards)
Dear Miss Black,
We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed list of all necessary books and equipment.
Term begins on September 1. We await your owl by no later than July 31.

She grinned and closed the letter "I got in!" she cries happily
"Where you expecting any different?" her Uncle asks.
"I can't believe my little Goddaughter is going to Hogwarts! It feels like only yesterday you came to live with here!" he exclaimes
"Are we going to Diagon Alley tomorrow?" Maddie asked. Her Uncle nodded and smiled
"Yes, that's a good idea." He agreed looking at the wall with the calender of the lunar chart.
"Yes! Can I go flying now?" Maddie asked
"Don't you want to go visit Luna?" Her Uncle Moony replied looking confused
"I do but Luna went looking for Crumpled horned Snorkacks with her dad." She answered.
"What are... You know what, never mind. Yes, you can go flying." He said with a smile.
Maddie ran out and played Quidditch (she threw a Quaffel threw a hoop and chased a Snitch) all day.
