Episode 488: Iris and the Rogue Dragonite
Several days has passed since the group arrived in Harmony City. Sora, Kairi, Karen, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Cilan, Iris, Lucas, Dawn, Barry, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, Axew, Blossom, Sparky, Thor, Eclair, Piplup, and Meloetta are all staying in Cynthia's villa for the time being as they get ready for the Junior Cup. Riku, Naminé, Eevee, and Azurill all arrived in Harmony City and Riku decided to partake in the Junior Cup.
In the meantime, Riku is training for the upcoming tournament, using Sawk, Throh, Bisharp, Chandelure, and Zebstrika with Lucas and his Pokémon.
"Zebstrika! Flame Charge!" Riku ordered. Zebstrika came right at Darumaka.
"Dodge and use Fire Punch!" Lucas ordered. Darumaka dodges came right at the zebra Pokémon and lands a punch.
"That was good, Lucas," Riku said.
"Thanks," Lucas said. "Darumaka! Use Fire Blast!" Darumaka sends out Fire Blast right at Zebstrika.
"Dodge!" Riku ordered. Zebstrika dodges Darumaka's Fire Blast. "Use Shock Wave!" Zebstrika fired Shock Wave right Darumaka, dealing some damage. "Now use Quick Attack!" Zebstrika lands a hit onto Darumaka. "Thunderbolt!" Zebstrika lands a hit with Thunderbolt, resulting in a knockout. Lucas calls Darumaka back.
"That was a great battle, Riku," Lucas said.
"You really improved a lot since you battled Sora in the final round of the Sinnoh Pokémon League," Riku said.
"That's what Sora said," Lucas said.
Both shook hands to congratulate each other for a great battle between the two of them. Sora, Kairi, Karen, and Dawn were watching closely.
"Way to go, Lucas," Dawn said, lovingly.
"Sora and Kairi told me you knew each other since kindergarten," Karen said.
"Yeah. We met when he stood up to that bully in my class," Dawn said. "Ever since then I had a huge crush on him."
"I am so envious of you, Dawn," Karen said. Dawn looked right at Karen.
"How come, Karen?" Dawn asked.
"Well, because you get to know your first love since childhood. I went to an all girl's school when I was younger," Karen said.
"I have to say, I'm envious of Sora since he has such a nice sister. I'm an only child," Dawn said.
"I used to think the same way until Karen came in my life," Sora said. "I used to think I was an only child since I was born. I understand why my mom never told me, because she didn't want me to get upset over something that happened years ago." Kairi placed her hand on his shoulder.
"I wouldn't blame you, Sora," Kairi said. This made Sora smile.
"I know you wouldn't," Sora said.
In the villa, Meowth was about to have his cat nap on the bed.
"Nothing like a good cat nap after lunch," Meowth said with a yawn.
"You know, you'll end up with nightmares when you eat too much before falling asleep, right?" - Thor subtitle.
"What do you know, Thor? I just like to relax after eating," Meowth said.
"And I'll add, that's how cats get fat and lazy. You seen the sweaters some people put on them? They'll look like a Christmas ornament." - Thor said.
"Now, who wouldn't want to be part of a Christmas tree?" Meowth asked. He placed a sleeping mask over his eyes. He fell right to sleep.
"Don't say I didn't warn you." - Thor subtitle. Thor took his leave as Meowth snored loudly; though not as loudly as Sora.
On the next morning, two Dragon Type Pokémon are flying in the air. One is a Dragonite and the other is a Hydreigon. The Dragonite was chasing after the Hydreigon and fired Flamethrower at it. Hydreigon dodged it. Hydreigon turned and fired a Hyper Beam.
Their fight continues over a forest as Hydreigon started to chase after Dragonite. Hydreigon fired Hyper Beam, destroying some of the trees. Dragonite and Hydreigon both stared at each other before firing their attacks at one another. Dragonite fired Flamethrower as Hydreigon fired Dragon Breath. The attacks collides in an explosion. The blast frightened a flock of Pidove in the forest. Dragonite looks around to see the Pidove as Hydreigon fires another Dragon Breath, striking Dragonite on the back when it turned around. Hydreigon fired Hyper Beam, hitting Dragonite. The dragon Pokémon struck the cliff and fell in the water below.
Hydreigon felt satisfied that it has won the battle, and it took off into the sky. As the sun was rising, Dragonite emerged from the water and took flight. Feeling its injury on its right wing, Dragonite blindly crashed at a local power plant, destroying the top of the tower, setting off an alarm. Several Magnemite responded to the alarm and quickly surrounded Dragonite. The dragon Pokémon scowled at the swarming magnet Pokémon.
Back at the villa, Cynthia had just stepped out for the day. Dawn was in the bathroom trying to get her hair done. She brushes it and blow dries it.
"Oh, not again! It's like my hair has a mind of its own!" Dawn groaned.
"Piplup," Piplup chirped.
"You noticed a pattern here? You go for the same routine day after day," Iris said.
"Axew," Axew added.
"So what? A Coordinator has got to look her best all the time," Dawn said, blowing her hair on the blow dryer.
"Kairi never had this kind of trouble," Iris said.
"Well, maybe it's because has short hair, and she looks good all the time.," Dawn said.
"You thought about cutting your hair?" Iris asked.
"I don't think so, because I don't think I look good with short hair like she does. And Lucas likes it long," Dawn said.
"How do you know?" Iris asked.
"He told me," Dawn said. "So, I'm keeping it long for him." Ventus comes by.
"Time for breakfast, you two. Kairi and Cilan are calling it," Ventus said.
"Right," Dawn said. The power then goes out. "Huh? That's weird. Did I break it?" Dawn tried to turn it on. "I sure hope not."
"Hey, who killed the lights?!" Meowth exclaimed from another room.
Down stairs, the rest of the group notices the power outage.
"How strange," N said.
"Indeed," Jervis agreed, trying to turn on the coffee maker. Kairi and Cilan came out from the kitchen.
"The kitchen's out, too. The toaster and oven just stopped working," Cilan said.
"And so has the juicer," Kairi added.
"There's no mistake about it. The power's out," Jervis said.
"No power? That explains it," Lucas said.
"How could this happen? Everything was just working fine," Sora said.
"Hello!" Officer Jenny's voice is heard from the front door.
"It's Officer Jenny," Naminé said.
Jervis, along with the group went to greet Officer Jenny at the door.
"Good morning. I was told Cynthia would be here, so I have come to request her assistance in this matter," Officer Jenny said.
"I'm afraid she's not here. She has gone out for the day, and she will be able to return until later," Jervis said. "Is there something I can help you with?"
"The blackout we're all experiencing was caused by a Dragonite that attacked the power plant," Officer Jenny explained. Iris was at a disbelief.
"A Dragonite? That's awful!" Iris said.
"That explains the blackout," Riku said.
"Eevee," Eevee said.
"You think the Pokémon that appeared at the power plant could be that Dragonite?" Jervis asked.
"I do," Officer Jenny answered quickly. "It's a dangerous one. No doubt, it was the work of that rogue Dragonite."
"A rogue Dragonite?" Ventus asked.
"Thankfully our Magnemite patrol stopped it," Officer Jenny said. "I was hoping Cynthia would assist us in catching it, but... no." She gave a salute. "Goodbye and thanks." She got on her motorcycle and rode off.
"A rogue Dragonite, huh?" Sora asked.
"Is this Dragonite well known around here?" Kairi asked.
"Yes, as of late, it has been showing up quite frequently. It challenges any Pokémon it happens to meet. And much tougher ones than itself," Jervis explained.
"That's a Dragonite I wouldn't want to meet in any dark alleys," Meowth said.
"Sounds like this Dragonite has a real taste for danger," Cilan said.
"Our property has been damaged, and some Pokémon has been hurt. The whole situation is of great concern to us. The trouble is has caused is quite formidable," Jervis said. Iris really didn't like how that came out.
"I don't believe it!" Iris boldly stated. Everyone all looked at her.
"Iris," Naminé said.
"I don't care if you call it rogue or not, no Dragonite would attack a power plant for no reason!" Iris said.
"But Iris, you heard what Officer Jenny said. Remember, it's an ongoing blackout," Dawn said.
"She's right. And you heard what Jervis said. That Dragonite is a Pokémon you don't wanna mess with," Barry added.
"There are no bad Dragon Type Pokémon. There's gotta be a reason," Iris said.
"I really do understand how you feel, but think you should consider-" Cilan was cut when Iris took off for the power plant.
"We'll see about that!" Iris exclaimed.
"Iris, come back!" Terra called out. N stopped him by the shoulder.
"Let her go, Terra," N said.
"N?" Terra asked.
"I agree with Iris, there are no bad Dragon Type Pokémon. Dragonite are known to be compassionate Pokémon, even when there are those considered to be rogue," N said.
"We can't just stand around and do nothing. We should go and keep her from doing something reckless," Riku said.
"Eevee," Eevee said.
"Right," Sora said.
"We should get to the bottom of this mystery," Kairi said.
With that said, Sora, Kairi, Riku, Karen, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Cilan, Iris, Lucas, Dawn, Barry, Pikachu, Eevee, Angel, Meowth, Axew, Blossom, Sparky, Thor, and Eclair all went off to the power plant as Naminé, Azurill, Jervis, and N all stayed behind.
"Be careful, please. And come back safely!" Jervis called out. Meloetta followed the group while still invisible.
Over to the power plant, the Magnemite were attacking Dragonite with Thunderbolt, but Dragonite shook the attacks off and fired Flamethrower at them.
"Get back, get back!" A security guard exclaimed. The Magnemite pulled back as Dragonite retreated. "After it!" Dragonite flew to find a safe place. Dragonite entered the next room. "Dragonite, stop!" Dragonite blocked the door by using a couple of generators with Thunder Punch. Dragonite sealed the room with Ice Beam. Officer Jenny showed up.
"Where is it?" Officer Jenny asked.
"Dragonite's in there," the security guard said, pointing to the sealed room.
Dragonite's injury was taking its toll on its right wing, so it collapsed.
"Where are all the workers?" Officer Jenny asked.
"Everyone's evacuated, except us," the security guard said.
"We've got to get that Dragonite out of here," Officer Jenny said. "The plant must be repaired right away."
"The entrance has been completely blocked off. There's no way to get in," another security guard said. The first security guard looked at the air duct.
"Wait a minute, I have an idea," the first security guard said. He leads the policewoman outside.
"I see, through the air duct. I don't see how you'll be able to fit through there," Officer Jenny said.
"Any form of maintenance duties are normally handled by the Magnemite cew, but I don't see any other way to get in," the first security guard said.
Just then, Sora, Kairi, Karen, Riku, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Cilan, Iris, Lucas, Dawn, Barry Pikachu, Eevee, Angel, Meowth, Axew, Blossom, Sparky, Thor, and Eclair all show up.
"We'll go! Just give us a chance!" Iris said. Officer Jenny looked right at the group.
"I know you. You're the kids from Cynthia's house," Officer Jenny said.
"Yes, my name's Iris! Give me a chance to talk to Dragonite. Please!" Iris pleaded.
"Hold on! You wanna talk to it?" Officer Jenny asked.
"Iris is from the Village of Dragons. She was able to calm down a berserk Hydreigon. Give her a shot," Sora said.
"Pika, Pika," Pikachu said. Officer Jenny had no choice but to go along with it for now.
"I guess we've run out of options at this point," Officer Jenny said. "Alright then, good luck to you. But, be careful."
"Right," Iris said. She and Axew crawl in the vents after a Magnemite.
"Let's go," Sora said.
"Right," Kairi said.
"Pika," Pikachu said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"Hold on," Officer Jenny said. Sora turned to see the policewoman hold out a Pokéball. "You may need this if talking doesn't work."
"Thanks, but no thanks," Sora said. "I have my own. Also, I have faith in Iris."
With that said, Sora, Kairi, Karen, Ventus, Riku, Lucas, Barry, Dawn, Pikachu, Angel, Blossom, Sparky, and Meowth crawls inside. Cilan tried to crawl inside, but he's too big to fit.
"It's too small for me to fit. I'll have to sit this one out. Sometimes, things don't go as planned," Cilan said.
"All's not lost yet," Terra said.
"He's right. We can't fit, but they can," Aqua said, gesturing to Thor and Eclair.
"Thor, go with them," Terra said.
"Chu," Thor nodded as he went inside.
"You too, Eclair," Aqua said.
"Pika," Eclair said.
"Good luck to all of you," Cilan said.
Sora, Kairi, Riku, Ventus, Karen, Iris, Lucas, Dawn, Barry, Pikachu, Eevee, Angel, Meowth, Axew, Blossom, Sparky, Thor, Eclair, all crawled through the ducts.
"How much further are we?" Karen asked.
"I don't know yet. Maybe we'll know when we get there," Iris said.
"We'll have to be really quiet when we get there," Ventus said.
"Pika," Sparky said.
"Shh," Iris shushed. Quietly, Sora, Kairi, and Riku crawled up to see Dragonite, sleeping.
"That's got to be the Dragonite we're looking for," Sora whispered.
"It is the only Dragonite here," Riku also whispered.
"Look at his wing," Kairi whispered. "He looks like he was injured" She points to the injury.
"You think it was from the Magnemite attack?" Sora asked.
"Hard to tell," Iris said.
"What's going on over there?" Karen whispered.
"We found Dragonite," Sora whispered.
One by one, Sora, Kairi, Riku, Karen, Ventus, Iris, Lucas, Dawn, Barry, Pikachu, Eevee, Angel, Meowth, Axew, Blossom, Sparky, Thor, and Eclair all jumped down.
"Look at that injury," Riku said.
"It looks bad," Iris said.
Dragonite woke up and let out a loud roar, alarming the squad.
Outside, the roar is heard from the inside.
"What was that?" Cilan asked.
"That was Dragonite," Officer Jenny said.
Back inside, the squad are trying to calm the dragon Pokémon down.
"Easy, big guy. We're not here to hurt you," Sora said.
"Pika," Pikachu said.
"We just wanna talk to you," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"You shouldn't be here," Dawn said. "You've gotten into a lot of trouble. Understand?" Dragonite looked around.
"That wound. There's no way that could have been caused by the Magnemite. No way," Iris said. They all looked right her. "Dragonite, you need to tell us why you came here. Please, we wanna help you."
"We can't do that if you won't let us," Riku said.
"Eevee," Eevee said.
"Listen to them, buddy. They know what they're doing," Meowth said. Dragonite fires Flamethrower at Iris. Sora took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Samurott! Hydro Pump!" Sora ordered. Samurott came out and fired Hydro Pump to block Hydro Pump. Dragonite came at the formidable Pokémon with Thunder Punch. "Dodge it!" Samurott dodged Thunder Punch. Dragonite fired another Flamethrower, making everyone run, striking the wall, making a hole.
"Dragonite, you've got to stop!" Iris pleaded. Dragonite roared again. Meloetta showed up and started to sing a soothing song to calm down Dragonite.
"Good timing, Meloetta," Sora said. Meloetta kept on singing, soothing the hearts of the trainers and Pokémon. Dragonite calmed down completely once Meloetta has stopped singing.
"Thank you, Meloetta," Kairi said.
"I don't think we can get him out of here," Lucas said.
"Maybe we could get Officer Jenny's Pokéball," Barry said.
"Good idea, Barry. We should give that a try," Sora said.
"What if that doesn't work?" Riku asked.
"We'll have to cross that bridge when we come to it," Sora said.
"The least we can do is try," Kairi said.
"She's right. We already came this far," Ventus said.
"Let's give it a try," Karen said.
With that said, Sora, Kairi, Karen, Riku, Lucas, Dawn Barry, Pikachu, Eevee, Angel, Blossom, Thor, Eclair, and Meloetta went to the hole first.
"Iris, Ven, come on," Sora said.
"Alright," Iris said.
Dragonite's injury kicked in again as Dragonite fell on his back, firing a Flamethrower, causing a collapse of the ceiling.
"Iris! Ven!" Sora exclaimed. Iris, Ventus, Axew, and Sparky gets trapped with Dragonite.
"Ven!" Kairi and Karen gasped.
"Ven's just fine! Don't worry, guys!" Iris assured.
"Hang tight! We'll get Officer Jenny and be back!" Sora said.
On the other side, Sora, Kairi, Karen, Riku, Lucas, Dawn, Barry, Pikachu, Eevee, Angel, Meowth, Blossom, Thor, Eclair, and Meloetta left to get Officer Jenny to help.
"Dragonite?" Iris asked.
"He's out cold," Ventus said.
"Pika," Sparky said.
Outside, Sora, Kairi, Karen, Riku, Lucas, Dawn, Barry, and Meowth explained to the policewoman.
"I see, so Dragonite's injured," Officer Jenny said.
"Yeah, and he's now unconscious," Sora said.
"Talking about a lucky break! We should break into the control room while we have the chance!" The second security guard said.
"What we should do is get that Dragonite into a Pokémon Center! He needs to be treated at once!" Lucas said.
"And once he's better, then he'll listen to what we have to say," Barry added.
"Sorry, but no. We'll have no chance against that Dragonite once it's fully healed," the first security guard said.
"Come on!" Sora said.
"We're grateful for your help, but we cannot allow yourselves at anymore risk," Officer Jenny said. "We'll have to call in some powerful trainers from the city, and force our way in."
"You cannot be serious!" Aqua said.
Back inside, Ventus, Iris, Axew, and Sparky are beside Dragonite, resting.
"Dragonite, they all said you're a rogue, I guess they're right. It's natural they're all so scared of you," Iris said.
"You don't think Dragonite came here to cause trouble?" Ventus asked.
"No, Ven. I doubt it, because there's no such thing as a bad Dragon Type Pokémon," Iris said. "I wanna know the real reason he's here."
"Iris, can you hear me?" Sora asked from the other side.
"Yes, Sora, I can!" Iris answered.
"We hit a snag! Officer Jenny hired some powerful Pokémon trainers to help Officer Jenny drag Dragonite out by force!" Sora said.
"What?!" Ventus exclaimed.
"No way! They can't do that! I won't let them!" Iris exclaimed.
"We tried to stop them, Iris. We wouldn't listen to a thing we said. I'm sorry, Iris," Sora said. Iris growled as she looked at Dragonite. She bent down to Dragonite. "Dragonite." She placed her hand on Dragonite. She gasped when she saw into Dragonite's memories. She saw the fight he was in with Hydreigon. Dragonite got hit, protecting a flock of Pidove, and then crashed into the power plant. It when she realized the blackout was an accident. "You were protecting a Pidove flock. Now I get it." She called out to Sora. "Dragonite didn't come here to destroy anything! Help find proof!" Iris explained it to Sora.
"Right!" Sora said.
"Pika," Pikachu said.
Sora and Pikachu went to meet up with the rest of the group.
"Guys! I got good news to help clear Dragonite!" Sora said.
"Pika!" Pikachu said.
"You do?" Kairi asked.
"Lay it on us, Sora," Meowth said.
"Okay, Iris figured out that Dragonite was in a fight with a Hydreigon. And Dragonite got hurt because he was trying to protect a flock of Pidove, and crashed here by mistake!" Sora said.
"So that's it," Riku said.
"So the blackout in the entire city was only an accident," Cilan deduced.
"Iris was right along. And so was N," Lucas said.
"But everyone thought he purposely did it, because he's known for that," Dawn added.
"We gotta tell Officer Jenny," Barry stated.
"Even of we could, it won't do any good," Riku said.
"He's right. At this point, she's not interested in anything we have to say," Terra said.
"So, the only way to clear Dragonite completely is to find that proof Iris was talking about," Karen said.
"She's right. But how are we going to do it?" Kairi asked.
"There must be security footage somewhere. Maybe we we can try that. Jervis explained that the forest is rigged with security cameras to keep an eye out for Pokémon Hunters," Aqua said.
"Yeah, that could provide the proof we need," Sora said. "We'll just have to hurry and get it to her before it's too late."
"Let's get to it then," Meowth said.
With that said, Sora, Kairi, Karen, Riku, Terra, Aqua, Cilan, Lucas, Dawn, Barry, Pikachu, Eevee, Angel, Meowth, Axew, Blossom, Thor, and Eclair ventured through the forest to get to the security footage.
Officer Jenny rode in by motorcycle with a jeep, holding some Pokémon trainers in it. They head towards the power plant.
Over to the forest, they went to look around for some evidence of Dragonite's innocence.
"You think they'll be able to give Dragonite a chance?" Kairi asked.
"I don't know, Kairi. He did crash into the power plant, accident or not," Riku said.
They came to the cliff of the river as Cilan noticed the damage left behind. Cilan noticed how fresh it looked.
"Hm, something definitely crashed here very recently. And it had a lot of force," Cilan said. A bunch of Pidove came flying out of the trees.
"Pika, Pika!" Pikachu shouted when he saw something. Everyone saw the camera in one of the trees.
"A security camera!" Sora said.
Back to the power plant, the security guards were standing watch.
"Any changes in status?" Officer Jenny asked.
"No, it's all the same," the first security guard answered.
"It's still barricaded inside," the second security guard said.
"Good," Officer Jenny said. She took out a Pokéball and threw it. "Ferrothorn, Alert! Begin Operation: Dragonite arrest!" Her Ferrothorn came out to assist. The other trainers did the same thing.
"Go! Garbodor!"
"Go! Darmanitan!"
"Go! Gurdurr!"
"Go! Magmotar!"
Garbodor, Darmanitan, Gurdurr, and Magmotar came on out to assist.
"Alright, ready?" Officer Jenny asked.
"Ready!" The trainers all said.
Inside, Ventus and Iris sat beside Dragonite.
"Sora and the others will be back before you know it. I'll protect you until they do," Iris said.
"So will I," Ventus said.
"Axew," Axew said.
"Pikachu," Sparky said.
The barricade has started to being assaulted, alerting Iris, Ventus, Axew, and Sparky. It turns out it was Gurdurr who did that. Gurdurr spins its steel beam around and broke through completely.
"Darmanitan! Superpower!" One of the trainers ordered. Darmanitan's muscles built up and broke through what was left of the barricade.
"Everyone okay?" Officer Jenny asked. Dragonite woke up.
"It's waking up!" Another trainer said.
"Calm down! We wait for Jenny's orders," Darmanitan's trainer said. Ferrothorn, Darmanitan, Magmotar, Garbodor, and Gurdurr waits for the signal.
"No resistance. Let's all leave here at once," Officer Jenny said.
"Listen! Dragonite didn't mean to destroy anything! He accidentally fell!" Iris said. Dragonite gets up, knocking Iris down. Officer Jenny gasped as Dragonite prepares to fire Flamethrower.
"Ferrothorn! Use Flash Cannon!" Officer Jenny ordered.
"Garbodor! Gunk Shot!" Garbodor's trainer ordered.
"Darmanitan! Use Flamethrower!" Darmanitan's trainer ordered.
"Gurdurr! Stone Edge!" Gurdurr's trainer ordered.
"Magmotar! Use Hyper Beam!" Magmotar's trainer ordered.
All of the Pokémon launched their attacks at the dragon Pokémon. Dragonite's Flamethrower is canceled out and fell to his knees. Dragonite growled at them.
"Dragonite, you okay?" Iris asked.
"Axew?" Axew added.
"This is wrong! Dragonite only landed here because he was hurt! He didn't mean to cause any trouble for anybody! Really!" Iris said.
"Stay back! It's dangerous!" Officer Jenny ordered.
"Jenny, please!" Iris pleaded. Dragonite stood up as Iris ran up to Dragonite's defense. "Don't try to move! You're hurt!" Ventus did the same thing.
"Axew!" Axew said.
"It'll only get worse if you keep fighting back!" Ventus added.
"Pika!" Sparky said.
"Step away from there, both of you!" Officer Jenny demanded. "Look, Dragonite, can't be allowed to go free where it can cause even more damage than it has! So, out of the way immediately!"
"No!" Ventus and Iris both said defiantly. They both raised their arms in defense.
"Attack Dragonite, you attack us!" Iris said.
"Axew!" Axew said.
"Take your best shot!" Ventus said.
"Pika!" Sparky said.
Officer Jenny, the trainers and Dragonite were dumbfounded by how they were defending Dragonite.
"Of course damaging the power plant was an awful thing, but he didn't do it on purpose!" Iris said. "Dragonite's not a bad Pokémon! There are no such things as bad Pokémon!" Everyone all looked at Iris as she made her statement. Dragonite was amazed by she would defend him despite the odds being against him.
"Officer Jenny!" Sora called out. The group entered the control room. "There's something you should see!"
"This proves the whole blackout was a total accident!" Kairi said.
"Look at it, please!" Karen said.
Cilan plays the security footage.
"This video camera was clearly taken from the forest. You can clearly see that Dragonite was injured while trying to protect a flock of Pidove," Cilan said. Officer Jenny was shocked to see it with her own eyes.
"Then, it's all true," Officer Jenny said. She looked at Dragonite, still growling at the trainers. Dragonite roared loudly again.
"Iris, Ven, get out of there!" Sora called out. Iris raised her arms in front of Dragonite. The dragon Pokémon looked at her as Iris stepped closer to Dragonite. She starts to use the technique she has used to calm down Shannon's Hydreigon.
"It's okay," Iris said. She rubs him. "It's okay, it's okay." Dragonite could feel her touch, so Dragonite was able to calm down completely. "Let's just go, okay?" Dragonite nodded as he collapsed on the ground. "Dragonite!"
The group managed to get the injured Dragonite to the Pokémon Center where Nurse Joy and Audino started to treat the injury on Dragonite's right wing. Naminé and N has shown up and explained the situation to them. Officer Jenny walked up to the group.
"I received a message from the power plant. Everything is back up and running," Officer Jenny said.
"That's good to hear," Barry said.
"No more blackout," Meowth said.
"What about Dragonite?" Ventus asked.
"What are you going to do with him? You're not going to arrest him, are you?" Iris asked with concern.
"No, because what happened was an accident. So, we'll be overlooking this," Officer Jenny said with a smile. Iris's face lit up.
After Dragonite was completely healed, Sora, Kairi, Karen, Riku, Naminé, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Cilan, Iris, Lucas, Dawn, Barry, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, Axew, Blossom, Sparky, Thor, and Eclair all stood outside with Dragonite.
"You saved a whole Pidove flock, that's so brave of you," Iris said. "Just how a Dragon Type should be."
"Xew," Axew said.
Dragonite scoffed.
"Now get going, and promise you cause anymore trouble, okay?" Iris asked. "Please? Go on." Dragonite took flight, but stopped and turned to look at Iris. "What's wrong?"
"What's Dragonite doing?" Lucas asked.
Dragonite made some of his sounds to Iris. Meowth picked it up quick. And so has N.
"Dragonite is saying that he was impressed by how you defended him when everyone was out to get him, so he wants to hang with you for now on," Meowth translated.
"That's exactly what I was to translate," N said. Iris was shocked as Dragonite nodded.
"Dragonite," Iris said. Dragonite roars loudly, making everyone cover their ears. "Okay, deal!" Iris took out a Pokéball and threw it. Dragonite flows inside. The Pokéball wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch. Iris beamed at not only she has captured a Pokémon from Kanto, but a powerful Dragon Type Pokémon. "Catching a Dragonite is a dream come true!"
"Since you got a Dragonite, that means, you'll be even harder to beat with those moves he has," Sora said.
"Pika!" Pikachu said.
Now that Iris has caught herself the known rogue Dragonite, this will make the upcoming Junior Cup more interesting. Who will come out on top? Just wait and see!
