"That will end the class, you are free to go!" Mr. Austin said, with me standing up and gathering my things. "Dakota, Amber, a moment!" He said, with me looking at Amber, with me seeing her sit back down. She was your basic country girl. Brown and black pladded shirt, black leather belt, blue jeans and cowboy boots. Her sleeves were rolled up, not in the I didn't care but the way that said that she wanted to look professional about it.
Neatly folded.
"You two are going to be interviewing each other for your homework assignment." He said, with me looking at her, with her doing the same but with a board expression. She had brown eyes, brown hair, a dark complexion and was five eight in height.
"Sir, I drew Chloes name." I stated, with him nodding.
"Yes, but with Amber moving soon, and her interview being Sam, who is out of the city at the moment, you will be covering her interview and vice versa." He said, with me nodding as Sam was at a funeral for his grandparents.
"Thats fine, I don't care either way." She said, standing up and looking at me. "I'll meet you at your place later, you're staying with Chloe, right?" She asked, with me nodding. "I will see you tonight then." She said, gathering her things and walking out.
"Who will cover Chloe?" I asked, with him staring at me. "Right, still me." I said, packing the rest of my things and walking out of class.
Later
"Amber has been acting weird lately." I told Clark, with him shrugging his shoulders.
"She moved in about a month ago, so I couldn't really tell you how she was acting weird or not." Clark said, with me nodding as she was only here for a month, but her first attitude was that of a cheerful girl, now she was cold and uncaring. "But you have to interview both her and Chloe, are you sure that you want to come along with me to the Talon?" He asked, with me nodding.
"Yeah, I don't really need to interview Chloe as I already know a lot about her, enough to write six pages worth, plus some." I said, with him raising an eyebrow at that. "I live with her; she is like an open book. Its Amber that I want to focus on." I said, with him nodding as we saw Lex talking with the guy, who handed said man something before they ran off.
"Hey Lex, who was that?" Clark asked as Lex walked over to us.
"No one!" Lex said, with me shrugging as I didn't care anymore. We all ducked as a bird flew at us, with me looking at it as it turned into the alley.
"I forgot something, so I will see you later!" I told the two as I started following the bird.
Once I was in the alley, I saw my sister, Raven, leaning against the wall, in her combat gear. "I need information, and you are the only one I can trust to give me anything truthful." She said, moving her head to look at me, her eyes hardened, hand resting against her blade.
"Right, and what is this information that you want?" I asked, walking over to the other wall and leaning against it, looking her in the eye. "No, before you ask, why do you need it?' I asked, with her nodding.
"Fair question, and I will answer it with a story." She said, gaining my attention. "The Story of the Seasons, also known as The Four Maidens, is a famous fairy tale back where I live. The story goes that an old hermit, who is referred to as a wizard in some versions, is visited by four sisters, who are each, in their own unique way, kind to him. The first sister, Winter, encourages him to meditate and reflect; the second, Spring, brings him fruit and flowers and revitalizes his garden; the third, Summer, convinces him to step outside and embrace the world; and the fourth, Fall, encourages him to be thankful for what he has." She said, tightening her grip on her arms, with me taking it that there was much more to the story than she made it seem, and knowing my sister's personality, she was jealous of power.
"Hence why it is called the Story of the Seasons." I said, with her nodding.
"When the old man asks the four sisters why they were so kind to him, they respond that they merely show their kindness to everyone. Moved by this, the old man gives the four sisters great powers in return for their compassion, and as the embodiment of the four seasons, they travel through Remnant spreading their gifts. As thanks, the Maidens promise to visit the old man once every year." She informed, with me nodding as I was right about the power part.
"Seems nice so far." I said, with her rolling her eyes.
"Whilst supposedly merely a story told to children, this legend has a factual basis in history. The story tells of the origins of the four Maidens, who are the hosts of a tremendous power that has been passed down through the generations for thousands of years, throughout all of Human history. Once common knowledge, the truth was eventually kept secret for the safety of both the Maidens and mankind, and it passed into legend and obscurity over time." She said, slightly narrowing her eyes.
"Ok, and you think that one of these maidens are here?" I asked, with her smirking at that.
"Think, no, I know it." She said, with me crossing my arms. "The Hermit himself told me, and it is my mission to bring her to him, for her own safety." She said, with me nodding at that.
"And who is this maiden?" I asked, with her holding her head up high.
"Her name is Amber, she has no last name, and she is the Fall Maiden." She informed, surprising me for a bit.
"Ok, so tell me, are there any other fairy tells you want to tell me? I know where she will be, but there is a price for my work." I said, knowing that if I could get any information out of her then I could be on the lookout for similar things.
"Sure, I will tell you some of the important ones." She said, with us hearing loud music. We both looked at the direction, where it lasted for another minute before stopping. "Anyways, Silver-Eyed Warriors, while the story name is unknown, the tale about Silver Eyes is said to be one so old it predates the existence of the outside world as well. The Outside world, is what you know and stay in, the inside is where I took you." She informed, with me nodding. "Silver eyes are said to be an extremely rare trait. There can only be one pair of Silver Eyes at a time. Summer Rose, a friend and idiot has them and she is being trained by the previous Silver Eyes. She lost hers in battle, and Summer awoken them. The story goes that people who were born with this trait were to lead the life of a warrior. The Creatures of Grimm were said to be afraid of these Silver-eyed warriors. Though it is only an exaggeration, it was also said that a single look from these warriors was able to kill a Grimm, and that is true, but it takes too much aura to do so and severely drains them." She informed, impressing me on how powerful these Silver-Eyed Warriors were, and I would be on the look out for this Summer Rose person, seeing as I didn't meet them at her camp.
"Sounds cool, next." I told her, with her nodding.
"The Tale of the Two Brothers is a creation myth. According to the Hermit, there were once two gods who were also brothers. The elder was a god of light, life and creation, while the younger was a god of darkness, death and destruction. During the day, the elder brother filled Remnant with life in the form of water, plants, and wildlife; at night the younger brother would discover his brother's creations and become disgusted, so he created drought, fire, and famine in order to rid Remnant of life, but life would always come back in the end." She informed, with me knowing how the two would be if one hated the other, and kill the other, but that wasnt the case so they just messed with the other.
"Brotherly rivel." I said, with her nodding.
"In order to completely wipe all life off the planet, the younger brother created nightmarish, soulless versions of his brother's creations whose sole purpose was to destroy anything and everything, these would be known as the Creatures of Grimm. Finally, the elder brother decided that they shouldn't fight anymore and make peace by creating something together. The younger brother agreed by using the four gifts of knowledge, creation, destruction, and choice to create Humanity who could choose to use their gifts for either light or darkness." She informed, with me knowing that there was more to it than that.
"So, that's how the Inner World as you call it came to be, as well as Grimm." I said, with her nodding.
"The Infinite Man, long ago, a magical man known as "The Infinite Man" traveled a lonely journey, going from town to town saving people from the creatures of Grimm. During one his fights, the Infinite Man passed out from exhaustion after slaughtering the Grimm, being given a chance to recover by the townsfolk. When he awoke, a young girl pointed out that he seemed to be magic. Reluctantly, he admitted to being immortal and a being with magical powers, and to his dismay gathering a small following as he tried to sneak out of the town." She said, with me feeling sorry for him.
"Immortality, a curse to be sure." I said, with her nodding her head.
"As the group began to rescue those in peril, word traveled fast about its existence, with more and more people wishing to join. The collective began to call themselves The Circle, to the man's dismay, as they readied for threats greater than the Grimm by mastering Aura and Semblances. At one point, The Circle was betrayed by one of their members, who poisoned the Infinite Man and escaped in order to discover if he was truly immortal. In his deathbed, the man told the young girl who inspired The Circle to follow the Infinite Man to let him die, as he was "just a man, and not even a very good one"." She told, with me wanting to smack the guy for building up a cult.
"Sucks for them." I said, rolling my eyes.
"The Circle mourned the Infinite Man for four days and four nights. Later, the Infinite Man returned in a new body, finding that the young girl was now a middle-aged woman and that The Circle had expanded even further, having settled and formed a town known as Circle, where they were now sending people to help others and bring back new followers, to create gods amongst men by training their abilities. The Infinite Man was convinced to stay by the woman, which would later be a mistake. For a time, there was peace in Circle, and more people flocked into the group as they heard the stories of the immortal man. Eventually, Circle was invaded by a group of warriors who attacked the settlement. A warrior stepped forward to face the immortal man, brandishing a pair of swords, wishing to finally face a god. The Infinite Man told her that gods are much more fallible than she realized, but the warrior insisted that he had no choice in fighting her. During their clash, the man asked her if somebody had sent her to kill him, which she doesn't answer. He realizes that the fight could continue for a long time and lead to collateral damage, and makes the mistake of choosing to die. Years later, the man, reincarnated once more, found that The Circle had all been killed except for the girl who followed him, who was now missing an arm and an eye. Everyone else was slaughtered. When he asked her why, she told the person she didn't recognize that it was to show the world the folly of placing all their hopes into one man, not even a very good man. The man knew that if she asked who he was, he would not be able to lie to her, as painful as the truth would be. But she didn't ask, and that hurt him even more. She turned to walk away, and he let her go." She said with a sigh, getting tired of telling these story's.
"Sounds like a sad romance story." I said with a yawn.
"People would often point to the Infinite Man as a cautionary tale about putting too much faith or power into one person. However, it takes on various morals: the risks putting others before yourself, the risk of poor leadership, unrealistic ideals, it ultimately is a very personal story to everyone due to how vague it is." Raven said, with me nodding as she had a point on those aspects.
"Thats why you need someone to help you, because you cant place the world on your shoulders." I said, with her shaking her head as I said that.
"The Girl in the Tower, one that I know for a fact is true, Salem and her origins." She said with a large amount of distain in her voice. "The story opens with the origins of Salem's Father, who was once a good-willed hero who sought after fame, fortune, glory, and love. During one of his adventures, he met Salem's mother, rescuing her from a gang of raiders and getting everything, he ever wanted, becoming the lord of a great kingdom. Salem's mother soon became pregnant and fell ill, dying during childbirth as Salem was born. Out of fear of losing Salem, her father locked Salem into a giant tower and allowed only himself and Salem's nanny to see his daughter. To cope with the loss of his wife, the lord turned to paranoia and materialism, obsessing with his own wealth and as such visiting Salem less and less. Over time, Salem would realize that the magic border surrounding her tower would only block animate objects." She told, with me frowning a bit as I recognized the story.
"Sounds like Rapunzel." I said, with her nodding.
"On Salem's 16th birthday, her father told her he locked Salem in the tower because his wife loved the view of the moon. Salem, however, hated it as it had become a prison to her. Realizing her father did not love her like she thought he did, Salem hatched a plan to escape her now-tyrant's grasp. Asking for a birthday gift, the lord gave her pen and paper upon her request, where she wrote stories of being locked by a monster who wished to keep her at home forever, sending the letters out of the window into the air. Word caught wind about the Girl in the Tower, and after many warriors died trying to save her, Salem's father was one day killed by the legendary hero Ozma, who rescued the young princess from him." She informed, with me knowing that the name Ozma was important.
"Any more?" I asked, with her shaking her head. "Ok, so, the Hermit is the Immortal man who is named Ozma, after something happened with the Two Brothers and Salem, he became immortal and lost all will to carry on and met the four maidens. He gifted them their powers and Amber is one of them. Then there is the Silver Eyed Warriors, who I am guessing Salem was one of them. Did I get anything wrong?" I asked, with her nodding.
"Salem isn't a Silver Eyed Warrior, she is Grimm, the leader, controller and birther. She will bring destruction to this world and everything around her. So far, she cant be killed, yet." She said, with me nodding at that as it was interesting to think about, but scary that someone like that existed. "Now, Amber?" She asked, with me nodding.
"She's coming over to my place tonight, I have to interview both her and Chloe, you can take her to safety after that." I said ,with her nodding and walking into the shadows before disappearing. 'Am I about to help in kidnapping someone?' I thought as I walked out of the alley.
Later
Hearing a knock on the door, I got up from the table and made my way over to it. Looking out the window, I saw Amber was standing there, her bag on her back. Opening the door, she crossed her arms. "Ready to get this over with?" She asked, with me nodding.
"Sure, come on in." I said, with her walking in. I lead her over to the kitchen table, with me looking at her. "Want something to drink, water, tea?" I asked, with her shaking her head.
"No, I want this over with, I have more important things to take care of." She said, with me nodding as that was a fair point. Sitting down, she sat across from me. "So, I will do my interview first, and then move on to yours." I said, with her nodding as I pulled out a tape recorder. "What is your name?" I asked, with her rolling her eyes.
"Amber, no last name." She said, with me nodding as I leaned back.
"What are you like, personality wise?" I asked, with her closing her eyes.
"Hard to saw, I could be kind, or I could be cold and ruthless." She answered, with me nodding as she was cold right now.
"Tell me, why would you consider yourself to be kind?" I asked, with her looking out the window.
"I'm an orphan, and it was up until I raised up enough money from part time jobs that I was able to get my own place. From time I go back to check up on them, even less now days. The people I knew there are either old enough to move out or were adopted." She said, looking back at me.
"Any story's that you want to elaborate on, showing that you can be kind?" I asked, with her nodding.
"The first Orphanage I was at; it was next to poor. There were days that I would give the younger kids my food so that they could eat." She said, with me nodding at this.
"And your cold and ruthless side of you?" I asked, with her narrowing her eyes at me.
"I will do whatever it takes to survive, and to answer your question before you ask it, I beat the living hell out of someone who thought that they could get away with trying to kill me. I may not have killed them, but I put the fear of god in them." She said, with her gripping her fists in anger.
"Would you like to talk-"
"No." She shut me down before I could ask, with me nodding as it as probably too personal to ask.
"What do you think of the elements? Wind, Water, Fire, the like." I asked, with her raising an eyebrow at that.
"Like all of the elements?" She asked, with me nodding. "Strange question to ask, don't you think?" She asked, with me nodding.
"Yes, but I want to extend this to six pages worth, without trying to dig too deep into who you are, as you would like." I answered, with her nodding her head in understanding.
"Fire and Wind are my favorite of the five. Fire because it resembles rebirth, and Wind because it resembles life. The Pheonix is known for its rebirth through burning and being reborn from its ashes. As for Wind being life, everything breaths it." She answered, with me nodding my head as that was an interesting way of answering it. "Water would resemble peace, and Earth would be Strength." She said, with me nodding as those were basic ways of seeing them. "Of course, they could be something completely different as well." She added, with me looking out the window as I saw Raven appear and walk towards the house.
"You talked about them in a peaceful way, you are referring to their destructive side?" I asked, with her nodding.
"Fire brings destruction, Wind brings terror, Water brings calamity and Earth brings death." She answered, with me raising an eyebrow at her answers.
"An interesting way to see the elements." I said, with her nodding. "I think that will do for my interview." I said, with her raising an eyebrow at me.
"Thats it? Wasn't much, but knowing you, you will look into my life without the interview, so whatever." She said, with me nodding as I opened the tape recorder and replaced it with another.
"Go ahead and ask away." I said, with her nodding as she leaned forward.
"Name?" She asked, with me smirking as she copied me.
"Dakota Feichko." I said, with her nodding.
"Tell me about yourself, how you came to truly be, Dakota Feichko?" She asked, with me raising an eyebrow at her question. It was how she worded it that caught me off guard, and I was going to answer her.
"I am a student at Smallville High. My Birth Mother is Jessica Jones, who put me up for adoption and I was taken in by Rebecca Feichko." I said, catching her attention.
"A fellow orphan, but one that was wanted." She said, with me nodding slowly at this.
"On the way home, our car was hit by a meteor during the meteor shower. I was hit head on, and it nearly killed me. Mr. Luthor helped me because Rebecca, my mother, worked for him. It is thanks to him that I am here. Jessica put me up for adoption because she got mixed up with some bad people and it cost her the life of one of her friends. She died here while visiting her grandmother." I said, with her nodding.
"Were you an only sibling?" She asked, with me shaking my head.
"I have a older or younger sister, twins." I said, with her nodding.
"And you met this grandmother?" She asked, with me nodding.
"Yes, she... put things into light for me, but its as they say. One step forward, two steps back." I said, with her nodding.
"Digging into your Birth Mothers past?" She asked, with me nodding. "Have you met her?" She asked, with me nodding once more. "Tell me about that." She said, crossing her arms.
"One of Jessicas enemy's found me, took me with him and Jessica fond me. She is a LOT like me, almost like I am a younger clone." I said, looking her in the eyes.
"I'll skip that for now." She said, leaning back. "What do you plan to do when you grow up?" She asked, with me smiling at that.
"Become a reporter." I said, with her staring at me.
"Well, with that interview you wont get far." She said, making me chuckle a bit at her statement.
"My mother worked at the Daily Planet... she passed away, but I learned everything from her. I don't need to rely on Interviews to preserve her memory." I said, with Amber nodding her head.
"I'm sorry to hear that." She said, with me nodding. "How about... you tell me how you awakened your aura?" She asked, with me reaching forward and pressing the button on the tape recorder.
"So, you already know about Aura and Semblances." I said, with her nodding.
"Its kind of the reason why I don't like you." She said, with me nodding.
"Well, I learned about it from my sister. And you?" I asked, with her crossing her arms.
"A friend." She said, with me watching the door open, and we watched as Raven walked in.
"The Previous Fall Maiden." She said, with Amber turning around to face her, shocked to see standing there. "Amber, my name is Raven, and I was sent here by the friend of the previous Maiden to come get you. She should of told you when you met her, Ozma, but now days he goes by Ozpin." She said, looking from her to me.
"I know that there is no running from you, I'm inexperienced so I wont be able to beat you." Amber said, looking at me. "I guess this was a trap, so I will be honest when I say this." She said as she stood up. "I hope we never meet again." She said, walking over to Raven, who lead her out of the house. Looking out the window, I watched as they stepped through a portal that Raven opened up, with it closing behind them. Soon after, Chloe and her dad pulled up the driveway, with me shaking my head as putting everything away.
The next day
"Ok, first up, is Club Zero. A nightclub in Metropolis, It's slogan was "Zero consequences", was as in it closed six months ago. Max Kasich, the hand of the man that was found at the Talon, was an employee there." I told Clark as he looked at the computer, with me moving so that he could see it better.
"Anything on what Max did there?" He asked, with me nodding.
"Not much. Max Kasich was the personal security guard at Club Zero on the night Jude Royce was killed. The man that you said has Lex freaking out over. Our friend Phelan was there as well, most likely a cover up but I cant say without any evidence. Max shot Jude, protecting one Amanda Rothman from Jude." I told him as I leaned back in the chair.
"What can you tell me about her?" Clark asked, with me searching for her.
"Amanda Rothman, she discovered that her fiancé, Jude Royce, was with other women, cheating on her. She broke it off with him, and when he tried to kill her, Max shot him. She committed suicide a year ago and her brother Roy was recently released from prison." I said, looking at him.
"What about Roy, how would he tie in on all of this?" He asked, with me looking him up.
"Roy Rothman is the brother of the late Amanda Rothman. She was the only one to visit him when he was in prison in Central City. Armer robbery. Over his sisters suicide, it is possible that he thinks Lex might have something to do with it? Don't know for sure, but that's not to say that someone from Jude's past wants revenge for what happened to him." I suggested, knowing that it was a good possibility.
"Ok, so down to Jude?" He asked, with me nodding and opening another tab that I already had opened.
"Jude Royce was the fiancé of Amanda Rothman. Jude betrayed Amanda at Club Zero in the company of other women. While still at the club, Jude attacked Amanda. Max stepped in and was stabbed by Jude, where Max then shot and killed him." I said, printing the papers out for him so that he could look them over himself.
"-Clark stepped up to a bully who was twice our size!" We heard Pete, with me looking at them as they entered, with both Pete and Chloe looking at us and then at Clark.
"Anything to say on that matter?" Chloe asked, with Clark taking the papers and looking at them and then Chloe.
"We were three at the time so twice our size is like three feet." Clark said, with me standing up.
"I would like to hear the story, but I want to investigate this Jude guy a bit more." I said, looking at Chloe. "Your dad wanted me to pick up groceries on the way back, I'll be in Metropolis." I said, with her nodding.
"Thats fine, are you grabbing Watermelon?" She asked, with me shaking my head.
"No, too expensive around this time of the year!" I said, with her shrugging as I walked out of the room.
Later that day
Walking into Club Zero, I looked around and stopped at the dance floor. Looking up the stairs, I imagined why Amanda would be here. Be it her friends, cheating with someone, or just to get out. She spots Jude, breaks things off with him and she comes down here. It was at that time that I looked around. 'He attacked her, and not tried to talk things through?' I thought, crossing my arms. "Why would he attack and not try to get her to listen?" I thought out loud as I rubbed my chin. "Unless she wasnt who he attacked. Was Lex here?" I asked myself, where I then felt like I was being shocked from behind.
Falling to my knees, I looked back at them and saw Roy, who had a smile on his face. "Thats a question I want to know." He said, kicking me in the face and knocking me out.
Later
Opening my eyes, I saw that I was chained to a pillar, with me seeing Lex hanging upside down in front of me. "Talk about bad luck." I said, with him twisting to look at me.
"Dakota, what are you doing here?" He asked, with me standing up.
"Well, I went to the club to learn more about Jude's murder, put things into light." I answered, looking around. "We're still at the club? Also, I think Roy, Amandas brother, is behind all of this." I told him, getting a small chuckle out of him.
"Amanda has a brother?" He asked, with me nodding. "Where was he when Jude cheated on her." He said sarcastically, with me looking at him.
"In prison for armed robbery." I answered, with him looking at me.
"So, the Jude that kidnaped me-"
"-Most likely isn't the real Jude." I answered, looking at said man as he walked over to Lex from behind.
"You sure are one hell of a detective, you look into the case and one look at the crime scene and you have it all figured out even without me meeting you." The Fake Jude said as he stood infront of me. "Got to say, I am impressed! You are like a real Sherlock Holmes!" He said, patting me on the face, with me kicking him back into the wall, knocking him out.
"He had it coming." Lex said, with me nodding.
"Tell me about it... you think he has the keys?" I asked, with Lex looking at me and then the body.
"Probably, but most likely not if he isn't really Jude." Lex said, with me nodding.
"Seriously, what is wrong with you?" We heard Roy, who walked up the stairs and was looking at the downed Fake Jude. "Whatever." Roy said as he pulled out a gun and shot him in the back, shocking both Lex and I.
"Hey, there was no need to do that!" I yelled, with him ignoring me and going up to Lex, grabbing his face while pointing the gun at him.
"I want the truth!" Roy demanded, with me thinking on how to distract him.
"Let's put the facts together!" I said, with them looking at me. "Fact One, Amanda was here, yes?" I asked, with him looking at Lex and then pushing him as he walked over to me.
"Leave him alone, he has nothing to do with this!" Lex yelled, with Roy ignoring him.
"Ok, I'll play your game!" Roy said with a grin. "Fact Two, Jude was here!" He said, with me nodding.
"Fact three, Max was here!" I added, with him nodding.
"You even learned his name, how interesting." Roy said as he nodded his head. "Fact Four, Jude was here meeting up with some girls, essentially cheating on Amanda." Roy said, with me nodding at that.
"Fact Five, Amanda broke off the engagement the moment she found out!" I said, with him nodding.
"Fact Six, Amanda broke off the engagement right here and then ran down to the dance floor." Roy added onto my fact.
"Fact Seven, Jude chased her down." I informed, with him smirking.
"Fact Eight, Jude pulled out a knife and stabbed someone." He informed, catching me off guard as I didn't know about the knife.
"Fact Nine, Max quote on quote shot Jude to protect Amanda!" I added, with him backing up.
"Now that we have all the facts, what drew Amanda here?" He asked, with me thinking about it.
"I have a list of things, if you would like to walk through each cenereo with me to see if they could be closer to the truth." I said, with him nodding.
"I will indulge you!" He said, looking at Lex.
"Number one, Amanda came here by herself, found Jude here and broke things off. Jude chased her and attacked her without trying to talk things through. That was when Max stepped in and defended her!" I said, with him shaking his head.
"Wrong! Amanda didn't like going out alone, she hated it!" Roy said, with me marking that off my list.
"Amanda came here with a few friends, they spotted Jude and she broke things off with him. He chased and attacked her, Max steps in and Jude is killed." I said, with him shaking his head once more.
"Wrong again! Amanda didn't have many friends and the ones she did have were all at work as she claimed on the report!" Roy said, with me frowning at that.
'He has more information than me on this case.' I thought with a frown. "Amanda came with one person, they found out about Jude, Amanda broke things off and left. Jude has an argument with the person and chases both of them down stairs. Jude attacks the person with Amanda, Max steps in to protect both and shoots Jude." I added, with him snapping his fingers.
"Getting closer!" He said, with me nodding.
"Amanda came with one person, they found out about Jude, Amanda broke things off and left. Jude has an argument with the person and chases both of them downstairs. Jude attacks the person with Amanda, Max steps in to protect both, but the gun is dropped and Amanda kills Jude in defense. This leads to her depression and suicide because she couldn't live with the thought of being a murderer! I declared, with him hitting me with his gun.
"LIES!" He yelled, walking over to Lex and taking him down. "Lex was the other person, he killed Jude!" He yelled, pushing him over to the railing. "Admit it!" He yelled, pointing the gun at him.
"He speaks the truth!" Lex admitted, with me looking at him. "I covered it up so that Amanda wouldn't go to prison for Jude's murder! She deserved better!" He said, with Roy backing up.
"See you in hell you lying son of a bitch!" He said, shooting Lex. Watching Lex fall over the edge, Roy went flying against the pillar next to me and my chain broke.
Looking down at my wrist, I looked over the edge and saw Clark running in. "LEX!" Clark yelled, with me seeing Lex had landed on a couch.
"Clark, get down, he has a gun!" Lex said, with me picking up said gun and shooting the pillar, then dropping said gun. "Dakota!" Lex said, with me dropping the gun and walking down the stairs.
"Is just fine!" I said, looking at them as I descended the stairs. "Roy is taking a nap, he shot my chain free when he went to kill me." I said, looking up at the knocked out Roy. "Got to say Lex, you got lucky with your fall!" I said, with him leaning his head back on the couch, a smile on his face.
"Its good to see that you are ok." He said, with me nodding.
"But serious question, did Amanda really kill Jude?" I asked, with him looking at me and nodding.
"Yes, and I stand by what I said. She deserved better." He said, with me nodding at that and helping him to his feet with Clarks help.
"Then we can put this behind us." I said, with him smiling at that.
Later
Walking up to the house, I stopped once I heard something behind me. Looking back, I saw Jessica walking up to me. "Mother." I said, with her stopping a few feet from me.
"I heard about what happened, I just wanted to see that you were ok." She said, with me nodding.
"Still alive." I said, with her nodding. "Welp, later!" I said, turning around to go inside.
"Dakota!" She called, with me looking at her. "Has she come for you, your sister?" She asked, with me turning to face her.
"Raven, is complicated. No, she hasn't come for me. When we learned about you, she hunted you down, hell, she might still be hunting you down." I said, with her nodding.
"I can understand why." She said, with me nodding.
"Why are you still working with the same people who experimented on you?" I asked, with her tensing up. "They used your DNA to create both Raven and I, so why?" I asked, with her rubbing her head.
"Believe it or not, I'm only working with them to make sure that you two are safe. Raven is out of their reach, but you, you aren't. One wrong move, and they have you. Rebecca saved you, but they never stopped watching. I give them false info, they believe it." She said, with me narrowing my eyes at her.
"Excuse me?" I asked, with her nodding.
"I've been watching you for some time. Not at first, I think it was around the time that Raven saved your life that I started, and it was around that time that Kilgrave started as well, seeing the similarity between the both of us, except you were male and I am a female. He put two and two together and discovered that you are my kid." She said, with me nodding.
"And you covered his murder." I said, with her nodding.
"He deserved it after everything that he did to me, and you using his own commands to kill him was bitter justice." She said, with me shaking my head at that. "How are you coping with that?" She asked, with me looking back at her.
"I hate what I did, but at the same time, I feel joy for it. I am your clone, your emotions, I still feel them. I guess I got my drinking problem from you?" I asked, with her nodding.
"Yeah, it's not genetic, but I tend to drink a lot." She said, with me nodding at that. She let out a sigh, placing her hands in her pockets. "Look, I'm not mother material, but I am willing to help you whenever I can, if you would let me?" She said, with me staring at her.
"For someone who went through the emotions like me... Yeah, I guess I could come to you for help, sometimes." I said, with her smiling a bit at that.
"I... appreciate that, really." She said, turning around. "I will catch up with you later, stay safe." She said, with me nodding as she walked away, with me turning around and going inside, planning on ending this day once and for all.
