Episode 491: The Junior Cup Part 1
The weeks has gone and went as Sora, Riku, Cilan, Iris, Lucas, and Barry were training for the Junior Cup. Sora exchanged Beartic for Conkeldurr for the tournament. Things were going smoothly for the participating trainers as they got done with some last minute training. It was the day before the tournament when a familiar face came rushing in the scene.
"Here I come!" Cameron shouted as he and Riolu bumped into Sora. "Hey, Sora. Didn't think I'd see you here."
"Hey, Cameron. You entering the Junior Cup, too?" Sora asked.
"Yeah. Looks I made it," Cameron said.
"It takes place first thing tomorrow, so you'll have to be ready for it," Riku said. Cameron looked right at Riku.
"And who are you?" Cameron asked.
"The name's Riku. Came from Iki Town on Melemele Island."
"Melemele Island?" Cameron asked.
"Melemele Island is in the Alola region," Sora said.
"Okay," Cameron said. "You in it, too?" Cameron asked.
"Yeah, and so are Cilan and Iris," Riku said.
"And also me and him!" Barry said. "The name's Barry."
"And I'm Lucas," Lucas added.
"Hey, I know you two! You came in second and third at the Sinnoh Pokémon League," Cameron said. "It's a real honor to meet you both!"
"Thanks!" Barry said.
"Good luck in the tournament, Cameron," Lucas said.
"Won't need it," Cameron said.
Elsewhere at a mountain ruin in the Kanto region, a massive spaceship is laying in the rubble. Inside the ship are giant-sized robots. All of them had a red face-like symbol on them. Outside, lightning struck the ship, energizing the ship. One by one, all of the robots were all activated. Among them is a large red robot with blue legs. A yellow robot with small horns on his head struggled to stand up and he staggered to the large robot.
"Optimus! Optimus, can you hear me?" The yellow robot asked.
"Bumblebee," the large robot said. "You're alive."
"So are you, Optimus," Bumblebee said. Optimus struggled to stand.
"How long have we been in stasis?" Optimus asked. A red robot with a scope on his shoulder attempts to turn on the computer.
"Give me a nanoklik," the red robot said. "Teletran 1! Do a diagnostic check on all those present aboard!"
"Acknowledged. Running diagnostics now," the computer responded. "Analysis complete. Units still operational: Jazz, Ratchet, Wheeljack, Bumblebee, Trailbreaker,Ironhide, Cliffjumper, Sideswipe, Hound, Huffer, Bluestreak, Mirage, Sunstreaker, Brawn, Gears, Hauler, Windcharger, Prowl, Grapple, Hoist, Tracks, Powerglide, Red Alert, Inferno, Smokescreen, Beachcomber, Seaspray, Warpath, Perceptor, Cosmos, Blaster, Arcee, Blurr, Skids, Drift, Bulkhead, Jetfire, Hot Rod, Optimus Prime. All others: status offline," Teletran 1 replied.
"Teletran 1, how long were we in stasis?" Percepter asked.
"Caculating," Teletran 1 computed. " Caculations complete. Approximate time of stasis: ten thousand stellar cycles."
"Ten thousand stellar cycles?" Perceptor asked.
"It seems that way," Skids said.
"You think maybe someone knows where we are?" Bulkhead asked.
"I highly doubt it, Bulkhead. No one else but knew about our escape plan, except for us," Ratchet said.
"That'll be stretching it, because the Decepticons picked up somehow," Wheeljack said.
"They've been running us ragged ever since the war got started. Millions of lives were lost in the war, and you know it!" Cliffjumper said.
"Cliffjumper's right. We lost so many of our fellow Autobots back on Cybertron; including Ultra Magnus," Hot Rod said.
"Be that as it may, but the good news is we don't have to worry about the Cons. Chances are, they got blown up into scrap when they entered the planet's atmosphere," Huffer said.
"What if they're not?" Trailbreaker asked.
"Trailbreaker has a point. Good luck hasn't been on our side lately, and I don't think it's going to change now," Ironhide said.
"I agree. Even though we are stranded on this planet, we cannot let down our guard. Megatron is not easily destroyed. We have years of conflict behind us to prove it. In the likely event that the Decepticons has survived the crash, we must maintain disguises for each of us," Optimus said.
"Disguises?" Hound asked.
"Indeed, Hound. The Decepticons are not our only concern. One we must be concerned about are the natives of this planet. We must acquire forms of the local inhabitants of this planet; forms that are compatible for our circuitry," Optimus said.
"I don't know about the rest of you, but I am aching to find out what's on this rock," Sideswipe said.
"You and me both, Sideswipe," Mirage said.
"Let's get cracking," Jazz said.
"Perceptor, have Teletran 1 scan for compatible lifeforms," Optimus said.
"At once," Perceptor said. "Teletran 1, search for compatible life forms to scan."
"Acknowledged," Teletran 1 replied. Teletran 1 begins to activate as it heads down to a nearby town. It happens to be Viridian City. A police car is parked at the police station as Teletran 1 scans it.
Meanwhile deep in volcanic region, another spaceship is crashed in the foot of a nearby volcano. There are several robots that all has a face-like symbol, but it was purple. Among them is a large silver robot with a large cannon-like weapon on his right arm. A blue robot with a machine gun-like weapon on his shoulder. He stood up on his feet.
"Lord Megatron," the robot said. The robot activates the ship's computers as all of the robots all regained consciousness one-by-one. One robot has some jet-like figures and he has some red on him
"Uh, what happened?" The robot asked.
"Starscream," the silver robot spoke. The robot responded to his call and went to his side.
"Lord Megatron. You're quite awake," Starscream said. "Thank the AllSpark!"
Megatron barely stood on his feet and he looked at the blue robot.
"Soundwave, report," Megatron said.
"As you command, Lord Megatron," Soundwave said in a more robotic voice. "According to my caculations we have been in stasis for ten thousand stellar cycles."
"Any casualties in the masses?" Megatron asked.
"Only a few reported, but I shall continue to analyze, Lord Megatron," Soundwave said.
"The Autobots might have perished when we entered the planet's atmosphere, my liege," Starscream said.
"Optimus Prime is not easily dispatched, Starscream. Our years of battling is proof," Megatron said. "We must obtain disguises to search for the Autobots." He looked at Soundwave. "We shall take on the forms of the most powerful lifeforms this planet has." A scanner dispatched to find suitable disguises for the Decepticons to obtain.
Back to the Autobot ship, each of the Autobots has taken up a form of different vehicles. Several vehicles came driving out of the ship after taking on the forms of the vehicles.
"Remember, do not draw attention to yourselves. We must maintain our new vehicle forms to avoid drawing attention," Optimus said.
"Right," Jazz said.
The Autobots are drove through the streets of Viridian City to learn of the planet their on. The Decepticon scanner ventured to an airfield and scanned the jets. The cars were also scanned as the Decepticons has taken on their forms.
On the next day, Sora, Kairi, Karen, Riku, Naminé, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Cilan, Iris, Lucas, Barry, Dawn, Cameron, Pikachu, Eevee, Angel, Meowth, Axew, Blossom, Sparky, Thor, Eclair, Riolu, and Meloetta all made their way to the battlefield. Victini also followed them to see what the excitement was all about. Upon arriving they spotted Hilbert and Cheren.
"Hilbert, Cheren!" Sora said. The two Unova trainers looked at the group.
"Sora! You're here, too?" Hilbert asked.
"This doesn't surprise me one bit," Cheren said.
"You competing, too?" Sora asked.
"Yes," Cheren said. "Thought we should give this a chance."
"Someone you met in Unova, Sora?" Lucas asked.
"Yeah. Lucas, Barry, this is Hilbert and Cheren. Hilbert, Cheren, Lucas and Barry," Sora introduced.
"We don't need an introduction. I watched you on TV. Lucas came in second at the Sinnoh Pokémon League as Barry was one of the top four," Lucas said.
"Oh, top four, great," Barry said, remembering his match with Sora.
"But it was pretty close," Sora said. That seems to lift Barry's spirits up when Sora said it.
"Close doesn't even cut it when you're a loser," Georgia said.
"Hey! Who said that?!" Barry exclaimed.
"I did," Georgia coming in the scene.
"Georgia?" Iris asked.
"You know her?" Lucas asked.
"Yeah. That's Georgia. She's what you would call a Dragon Buster," Kairi said.
"What's a Dragon Buster?" Dawn asked.
"Trainers whose goals are to take down Dragon Type Pokémon," Riku answered.
"Eevee," Eevee said.
Georgia notices Sora, Kairi, Karen, Riku, Naminé, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Cilan, Iris, Lucas, Dawn, Barry, Hilbert, Cheren, Cameron Pikachu, Eevee, Angel, Meowth, Azurill, Axew, Blossom, Sparky, Thor, Eclair, and Riolu at last.
"You guys sigining for the Junior Cup," Georgia said.
"So what if I am?" Iris asked.
"You signing up, Georgia?" Naminé asked.
"Of course I am. I'm hoping to take on any Dragon Type Pokémon I find here," Georgia said.
"This is turning out to be interesting," Cilan said.
"And it's about to get even more interesting. T minus, three, two, one-" Sora counted as Burgundy has shown up.
"Stop! Viet!" Burgundy called out, sliding in front of Cilan. "This Pokémon Connaisseuse will beat the pants off of you!"
"Just as I thought," Sora deadpanned.
"And who is that?"Barry asked.
"That's Burgundy. She's a Pokémon Connaisseuse. And she has it in for Cilan, because she got beaten by him on their first meeting," Sora said.
"Obsession much?" Barry joked, making Sora laugh.
"Burgundy, how good to see you," Cilan said, smiling. "And I am looking forward to our battle!" Burgundy growled in anger.
"I hate when you pretend to be nice," Burgundy pouted.
"Hey!" Another voice shouted. It turns out to he Benga rushing in.
"Benga!" Sora said.
"Sora, it's been a while!" Benga said. Both gave a high-five. "Haven't seen you since the Clubsplosion."
"Likewise," Sora said.
"Who's he?" Barry asked.
"Hey, the name's Banga," Benga said. "What do they call you?"
"I'm Barry," Barry introduced himself.
"Good to know you, Barry," Benga said.
"I'm going to guess you're going to be a part of it, Benga," Sora said.
"Yeah. I'll be having a chance to battle my gramps," Benga said.
"Gramps?" Barry asked, tilting his head.
"He's talking about Alder. He's the Champion of Unova, and Benga's grandpa," Sora said.
"Benga's grandpa's the champ?!" Barry exclaimed in shock.
"Is that a real shocker?" Benga asked.
"You know it," Sora said.
"I'm also Lucas, and this is my girlfriend Dawn," Lucas introduced.
"Hi," Dawn greeted.
"Nice to meet you," Benga said. "Anyway, you know where my gramps is? I wanna talk to him before the tournament starts."
"I haven't seen him yet. Maybe if I look around," Sora said. He spots Alder and he's flirting with Cynthia. "There he is."
"Say, how about we forget the competition and have ourselves some dinner, just me and you," Alder offered.
"I think you'll be eating for one," Cynthia said, turning him down. Benga went to meet up with his grandfather.
"How about one cup of coffee?" Alder kept offering.
"Gramps!" Benga called out. Cynthia and Alder turned to Benga coming right towards them.
"Benga, what are you doing here?" Alder asked.
"You know him?" Cynthia asked.
"He's my grandkid," Alder answered. "You wanna have a shot with me, huh?"
"Yeah. I just have to win the competition first," Benga said.
"Benga!" Nate called out. He comes running towards Benga. "Great to see you!"
"Nate, what's up!" Benga said. They fist bumped.
"I know you! I've seen you in Team Plasma's castle," Alder said. "I didn't think I would see you again so soon until I heard about the tournament."
"Good luck to the both of you," Alder said.
Sora, Riku, Cilan, Iris, Lucas, Barry, Hilbert, Cheren Nate, Georgia, Burgundy, Benga, and Cameron has signed up. Surprisingly Hugh, Trip, and Gladion has shown up to register.
"Sora, it's been a while since our last battle," Gladion greeted.
"Hey, Gladion. Didn't think I'd see you here," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Just wanna say, good luck in the tournament, not that you'll need it," Sora said.
"Thanks, Sora. I was going to say the same for you," Gladion said.
Kairi, Karen, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, N, Dawn, Angel, Meowth, Blossom, Sparky, Thor, and Eclair all took their seats in the stands as the Junior Cup has begun.
Sora, Riku, Hilbert, Nate, Lucas, Barry, Cilan, Iris, Trip, Georgia, Burgundy, Gladion, Benga, Cheren, Hugh, and Cameron all stood as the crowd cheers.
"This is so exciting!" Cameron said. "I'm gonna win this!"
"Don't get overconfident," Hugh said.
"He's right. You have to make it through the rest first," Cheren said.
"Welcome! My name is Freddy the Scoop, and I'll be monitoring the action, move-by-move! And joining me is our very special guest, Alder! The Champion of the Unova region will be battling the winner of the Junior Cup!" Freddy O'Martian announced. Alder spoke in the microphone.
"Thank you! Great to be here! And word to all you trainers: give it your all, because I'll be here waiting for you! I'll be looking forward to every second of heated battle action!" Alder said.
"Well, Alder, you won't be waiting any longer, because we will be beginning with an exhibition match!" Freddy O'Martian announced. "It is my distinct honor to introduce our special guests, who traveled many miles just for this event!" The lights goes off as white rose petals sprinkles down. "She is one of Unova's Elite Four! The Elegant White Rose Fairy Caitlin!" The crowd cheered as Cailtin emerges from a white rose prop.
"How impudent. Now, who dares to disturb my sleep?" Caitlin asked. The crowd cheered as Cynthia came in with a sparkling dark red cape.
"Caitlin's opponent is the Champion of the Sinnoh Region! The beautiful Master of Battle, Cynthia!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"We meet again, Caitlin!" Cynthia said. "It's easy to see you have overcome the challenges you faced to get here. And in order to do that, you kept outgoing yourself." She removed her cape. "Now, I will give you another chance to do the same thing!" The crowd cheered on as the exhibition battle is about to begin. The referee came in to announce the results.
"The match will be a ten minute one-on-one battle!" The referee announced. "Battle begin!"
"I can feel the excitement build. It's time to present my Pokémon!" Cynthia said, taking out a Pokéball and threw it. "Garchomp! Battle Dance!" Her Garchomp came out, ready to go.
"Gothitelle, surround yourself with white rose petals and do it with true elegance!" Caitlin called out. Gothitelle came out with a bow. "Lovely. Let is begin this wonderful moment together!"
"I knew she was going to use Garchomp for this," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"This should be a good battle," Aqua said.
"Good doesn't even describe it," Meowth said.
"It's going to be real fun to watch!" Meowth said.
"Cynthia, you brought your most refined Pokémon as expected. I am most honored to battle against you," Caitlin said.
"Thank you, Caitlin," Cynthia said.
"Gothitelle! Flatter!" Cailtin ordered. Gothitelle waves its hands, creating red waves that confuse Garchomp.
"Well, it looks like Garchomp is confused!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"A brilliant execution of Flatter," Alder added.
"Now, use Psychic!" Caitlin ordered. Gothitelle grabbed Garchomp with Psychic and slammed her on the ground. Gothitelle keeps up the slamming. Gothitelle slammed her against the wall. "Next, slam it against the ceiling with elegance!" Gothitelle sends Garchomp right towards the ceiling.
"Garchomp! Dragon Rush!" Cynthia ordered. Garchomp came down with Dragon Rush. Gothitelle has taken some heavy damage from that attack.
"Garchomp lands a powerful Dragon Rush!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Shocking! Amazing strength!" Alder said.
Gothitelle lands on its back while Garchomp lands on her feet.
"Gothitelle! Keep your composure and stand up!" Caitlin called out. Gothitelle slowly gets back up.
"I'm impressed with your calmness," Cynthia said. "You've grown, my dear Caitlin."
"How sweet. Thanks. My heart used to skip a beat every time we've battled. But the old Caitlin is long gone," Caitlin said. She then said in her thoughts, "If only that were true. My heart is pounding once again from her powerful attacks."
"In that case, I'll bring this to an elegant end! Garchomp! Use Draco Meteor!" Cynthia ordered. Garchomp fired Draco Meteor into the air.
"Then, I'll counter with elegance! Use Thunderbolt!" Caitlin ordered. Gothitelle unleashed Thunderbolt, not only blocking Draco Meteor, but creating a display of fireworks.
"Amazing! Elegant offense and defense as expected from an Elite Four member and a Champion!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Both magnificent performances, making it hard to see who is in the lead," Alder said.
"Wow, that's pretty," Karen said.
"I think it might give me an idea for what to use in the Grand Festival," Kairi said.
"Use Brick Break!" Caitlin ordered.
"Use Brick Break!" Cynthia ordered.
Garchomp and Gothitelle came at each other with Brick Break. Both collide with each other. Time runs out.
"Time's up! The exhibition match is a draw!" The referee announced. The crowd cheered on as Cynthia and Caitlin walked up to each other.
"You were great, Caitlin," Cynthia said.
"Cynthia, you're a trainer who possess both excellence and elegance," Caitlin said. "It has been an honor to be your opponent."
"My pleasure. I'm thrilled. Seeing how far you've come is wonderful," Cynthia said.
"There's still a long way to go," Caitlin said. "My ultimate goal is to win all battles with elegance and grace. Cynthia, I'm looking forward in so many more battles against you."
"I feel the same way," Cynthia said with a smile. Both women shook hands as the crowd cheered. Sora and Riku applauded with the rest of the crowd, seeing a great battle between them.
"Way to go, Cynthia," Sora said.
"Caitlin is so wonderful!"
"Cynthia's awesome!"
"So, a big thanks to Cynthia and Caitlin for their exhibition battle! Now, here is our sixteen trainer match-ups chosen by computer random shuffle!" Freddy O'Martian announced as the mugshots of each trainer are now on display.
"This is it," Nate said.
"The first battle is Trip versus Gladion!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"It doesn't matter who I'm going to battle, you're all going down," Trip said.
"Don't be so sure," Gladion stated.
"The second battle is Cheren versus Barry!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"So, I don't get to battle Sora, Lucas, or Gladion, but it's better than nothing!" Barry said.
"I feel the same way," Cheren said.
"The third battle is Lucas versus Hilbert!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Good luck, Hilbert," Lucas said.
"You too, Lucas," Hilbert said.
"The fourth match will be Hugh versus Burgundy!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"I came here to battle Cilan, and no one is going to stand in my way!" Burgundy said.
"The fifth battle will be Sora versus Cameron!" Freddy O'Martian announced. Both Sora and Cameron looked at each other.
"Yes! I get the Pokémon League Champion right off the bat!" Cameron said.
"The sixth battle will be Cilan versus Benga!" Freddy O'Martian announced. Sora looked at Benga, and he looked back at Sora.
"This should be a fun battle," Benga said.
"More likely to be spicy," Cilan said.
"The seventh battle is Riku versus Nate!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"I get stuck with Riku?" Nate asked.
"Don't worry. Just give me everything you've got, Nate," Riku said.
"And our eighth and final match will be Georgia versus Iris!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Yes! Head-to-head demolition, with this Dragon Buster coming out on top!" Georgia exclaimed.
"Nope, not today! Bottom of the barrel for you!" Iris said.
"Say what?!" Georgia growled.
"What!" Iris countered as sparks flies between them.
Meloetta and Victini watches from two different spots. Gladion and Trip took their places on the battlefield.
"It is time for our very first match to begin! First, we have a trainer who hails from the Alola region, Gladion! Opposing Gladion is Nuvema Town's intelligent and observant, Trip!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Alright, trainers! Begin!" The referee called out as Trip took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Serperior!" Trip called out. Serperior came and waited for Trip's instructions. Gladion took out his Premier Ball and threw it.
"Go! Silvally!" Gladion called out. Silvally came on out to battle Serperior. Trip was awestruck and dumbfounded to see Silvally with his own eyes.
"What kind of Pokémon is that?" Trip asked.
"Trip has sent out Serperior as Gladion has sent out the Ultra Beast slaying, Silvally!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"I have only heard rumors of Silvally, and I can see that seeing it here with my own eyes confirms its existence!" Alder said.
"Serperior! Use Wrap!" Trip ordered. Serperior wrapped his body around Silvally it.
"Silvally! Use Crush Claw!" Gladion ordered. Silvally swiped at Serperior, making him let go of it. "Now, use Air Slash!" Silvally unleashed Air Slash and it does heavy damage onto Serperior.
"Serperior isn't making a good start!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Serperior was struck by a Flying Type move, so it has taken some serious damage from Air Slash!" Alder added.
"Now take this!" Gladion said, taking out a Bug Type Memory, and gave it to Silvally. Silvally's crests has turned light green.
"Silvally went from a Normal Type to a Bug Type!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"It's a know fact Grass Types don't do well with Bug Types, but that's not what got me thinking," Sora said.
"You mean Gladion's chances at winning against Gladion being slim to none, then you are right to think that," Riku said.
"Use Multi-Attack!" Gladion ordered. Silvally lands a hit with Multi-Attack, sending the regal Pokémon against a wall. Serperior has been taken down.
"Serperior is unable to battle! Silvally wins! Gladion wins the battle!" The referee announced.
"Trip is out, and Gladion is in!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Tough break for Trip," Alder said.
"Excellent work as always, Silvally," Gladion said.
The second battle was now getting started. Barry and Cheren were about to get started with their battle.
"Battle number two is on the way! Joining us from Twinleaf Town in the Sinnoh region, is Barry! And from Nuvema Town, it's Cheren!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Choose and begin!" The referee called out. Cheren and Barry each took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Excadrill!" Cheren called out. His Excadrill came out in its subterranean form and took a stance in battle.
"Infernape! Go!" Barry called out. Infernape came out doing a flip. "Infernape! Use Flamethrower!" Infernape fired Flamethrower right at the mole-like Pokémon.
"Dodge with Dig!" Cheren ordered. Excadrill dodged by spinning into its subterranean form.
"Excadrill makes a good dodge with Dig!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"A good way to dodge one's weakness with another!" Alder said.
"Keep your wits up, Infernape!" Barry said. Excadrill came out, landing a hit onto fire monkey Pokémon. "Infernape!"
"Excadrill! Use Drill Run!" Cheren ordered. Excadrill came at Infernape with Drill, landing a heavy blow.
"It's not looking good for Infernape out there!" Alder announced.
"Excadrill! Finish Infernape off with one more Drill Run!" Cheren ordered. Excadrill lands the finishing blow onto Infernape. The flame Pokémon fell on his back, beaten.
"Infernape's unable to battle! Excadrill wins! The winner is Cheren!" The referee announced.
"And it is Cheren who makes it to the second round along with Gladion!" Freddy O'Martian announced. The battle between Hilbert and Lucas was about to start. Dawn is wearing her cheerleader outfit and cheered for her boyfriend. "And now, it's time for battle number three! From Twinleaf Town, it's Lucas! From Nuvema Town, it's Hilbert! Another clash of Sinnoh and Unova, let's see how this'll turn out!"
"I'm were a gambling man, my money's going to be on Hilbert since he's got loads of spirit!" Alder said.
"Begin the battle!" The referee called out.
"Go! Stoutland!" Hilbert called out. Stoutland came out with a bark.
"Go! Palpitoad!" Lucas called out. Palpitoad came out with a croak. "Palpitoad! Use Mud Bomb!" Palpitoad launched a Mud Bomb right at the dog-like Pokémon.
"Dodge and use Crunch!" Hilbert ordered. Stoutland dodged Mud Bomb and lands a bite attack onto the vibration Pokémon.
"Palpitoad! Use Uproar!" Lucas ordered. Palpitoad started to thrash around, making Stoutland let go of it.
"Palpitoad fights back with its Uproar!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Stoutland! Use Hyper Beam!" Hilbert ordered. Stoutland fired Hyper Beam right at Palpitoad.
"Dodge it!" Lucas called out. Palpitoad was struck by Hyper Beam. Palpitoad fell on its back, beaten.
"Palpitoad is unable to battle! Stoutland wins! Hilbert wins the battle!" The referee announced.
"Hilbert makes us proud by advancing to the second round! Our fourth battle will begin shortly!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Lucas lost," Dawn said.
"He did his best, right?" Ventus asked.
"You're right, Ven. Win or lose, he's always number one," Dawn said.
Meloetta and Vivtini both cheered on. Hugh and Burgundy came to the battlefield.
"And it is time for our next bout to get started! We have the Pokémon Connaisseuse Empress of Evaluation, Burgundy! And we have the stoic Hugh!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Let's do this! Go! Darmanitan!" Burgundy called out. Darmanitan came out right out to battle.
"Let's go! Samurott!" Hugh called out. Samurott took a stance in battle.
"Samurott has the advantage against Darmanitan in this battle!" Alder said.
"Darmanitan! Use Flamethrower!" Burgundy ordered.
"Samurott! Use Hydro Pump!" Hugh ordered.
Samurott fired Hydro Pump as Darmanitan fired Flamethrower. They held on as they pushes back at each other. Samurott overpowers Darmanitan's Flamethrower, and lands a hit.
"Darmanitan, you must redeem yourself!" Burgundy said.
"Use Razor Shell!" Hugh ordered. Samurott came right at Darmanitan, and slashed it with Razor Shell. "Now, use Aqua Jet!" Samurott came right at Darmanitan with Aqua Jet, resulting in a knickout.
"Darmanitan is unable to battle! Samurott wins! The winner is Hugh!" The referee announced.
"And Burgundy's Darmanitan didn't stand a chance against Hugh's Samurott!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Samurott had won because of Type advantage and experience!" Alder added.
"We will be taking an hour of recess since four battles has concluded!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
Back in Kanto, the Autobots explores the cities incognito. They were amazed by the sights and how the people and Pokémon are living together.
"This might not be Cybertron, but it's still nice," Bumblebee said.
Over to the Decepticons, they have maintained their disguises to blend in to find the Autobots and destroy them. A red bird-like robot flies from Soundwave's torso and flew around to search for the Autobots. The robot then found what looks like glowing blue crystals. The bird-like robot records the image of the blue crystals and flew back to report to Soundwave. The robot flew back to Soundwave.
"Laserbeak has returned, Lord Megatron," Soundwave reported.
"What do you have to report, Laserbeak?" Megatron asked. Laserbeak shows an image of the crystals. "Energon. On this planet, no doubt. Begin a mining party and have that Energon mined."
"At once, my lord," Starscream said. "You heard our master! Get to it!"
The Decepticons got set to mine the Energon for the Decepticons.
Back at Harmony City, the fifth battle was about to begin as Sora and Cameron came on the battlefield to battle each other.
"And now it's time for battle number five! It is the Pokémon League Champion, Sora 'Kingdom Hearts' Ketchum versus the ever eager Cameron!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Choose your Pokémon and begin!" The referee called out.
"Which one should I use?" Cameron asked himself. He stretched his bandana and he lets go. The bandana struck him as he gets an idea. "I know!" He took out a Pokéball and threw it. "Go! Ferrothorn!" His Ferrothorn came out and ready to battle. Sora took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Conkeldurr!" Sora called out. Conkeldurr came out to battle.
"Sora has sent out Conkeldurr as Cameron sent out Ferrothorn!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Ferrothorn is at a huge disadvantage since Conkeldurr is a Fighting Type Pokémon as Ferrothorn is a Steel Type Pokémon!" Alder announced.
"Ferrothorn! Use Pin Missle!" Cameron ordered. Ferrothorn fired Pin Missle right at the muscular Pokémon.
"Conkeldurr! Bulk Up!" Sora ordered. Conkeldurr flexed his muscles and Pin Missle bounced right off. "Now, use Power-Up Punch!" Conkeldurr came at Ferrothorn and lands a punch onto Ferrothorn. "Now, use Stone Edge!" Conkeldurr sends out rocks at Ferrothorn.
"Use Metal Claw!" Cameron ordered. Ferrothorn slashed at the stones with Metal Claw.
"Ferrothorn makes a good block with Metal Claw!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"A good offense makes a good defense!" Alder announced.
"Use Thunderbolt!" Cameron ordered. Ferrothorn fired Thunderbolt at Conkeldurr.
"Block it!" Sora called out. Conkeldurr blocked the electric attack with his pillars. "Now use Superpower!" Conkeldurr flexed muscles as his body gave off a red aura and lands a hit with Superpower. Ferrothorn has taken some heavy damage. "Now use Power-Up Punch!" Conkeldurr lands a Power-Up Punch, making Ferrothorn roll back.
"Hang in there, Ferrothorn! Mirror Shot!" Cameron ordered.
"Dodge and use Superpower!" Sora ordered. Conkeldurr lands another hit with Superpower. Ferrothorn gets knocked out from the attack.
"Ferrothorn is unable to battle! Conkeldurr wins! The winner is Sora!" The referee announced.
"Conkeldurr makes good use of its muscles! Our next battle shall begin momentarily!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Aw man, I can't believe I lost!" Cameron cried.
Cilan and Benga has taken their positions to battle each other.
"Next we have one of the three Gym Leaders of the Striaton City Gym and an A Class Pokémon Connoisseur, Cilan! And Next is the grandson of Alder, Benga!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Benga has come a long way since the start!" Alder added. Cilan and Benga each took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Gabite!" Benga called out. A Gabite came out to battle.
"Go! Pansage!" Cilan called out. Pansage came on out to battle.
"Gabite! Use Flamethrower!" Benga ordered. Gabite fired Flamethrower right at Pansage.
"Use Dig!" Cilan ordered. Pansage dug in the battlefield to avoid Flamethrower. Pansage came out and lands a punch onto Gabite. "Now, use Solar Beam!" Pansage began to build up solar energy.
"Dual Chop!" Benga ordered. Gabite came rushing towards Pansage. Pansage fired Solar Beam with incredible force. Gabite has been knocked out.
"Gabite is unable to battle! Pansage wins! The match goes to Cilan!" The referee announced.
After the match has concluded, Riku and Nate took their positions to battle each other.
"Up next, we have the underdog Aspertia City, Nate versus Riku!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"This should be an interesting battle between the two of them!" Alder said. Nate took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Heatmor!" Nate called out. A Heatmor emerged from its Pokéball with an ember, spewing from its mouth. Riku looked at his partner.
"You're up, Eevee," Riku said. Eevee stepped right in to battle the anteater Pokémon. "Eevee! Use Dig!" Eevee dug in the ground to start things up.
"Heatmor! Get ready!" Nate said. Heatmor waited for the evolution Pokémon to come out of the ground. Eevee jumped out and tackled Heatmor.
"Use your Fury Swipes!" Nate ordered. Heatmor swings its claws at Eevee, landing a couple of hits. "Now, use Fire Lash!" Heatmor swings Fire Lash right at Eevee.
"Quick Attack to dodge!" Riku ordered. Eevee dodges Fire Lash using Quick Attack.
"Eevee's making good use of its speed!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Eevee might be small, but it packs quite a punch! Big power can come from such a little package!" Alder said.
"Use Swift!" Riku ordered. Eevee fires Swift at the anteater Pokémon. "Now use Shadow Ball!" Eevee fired Shadow Ball right at Heatmor, dealing some heavy damage.
"Eevee isn't even giving Heatmor a chance to make a comeback! How long will it last?" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Heatmor! Slash!" Nate ordered. Heatmor tried to slash at Eevee, but it has a hard time because of his speed.
"Eevee's moving at an incredible speed! I can't seem to keep up with it!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Neither can I! That Eevee isn't just strong, but it's also fast!" Alder announced.
"Shadow Ball! Full power!" Riku ordered. Eevee builds up some power and sends it right at Heatmor. Shadow Ball was so great, Heatmor fell to the side, beaten.
"Heatmor is unable to battle! Eevee wins! The winner is Riku!" The referee announced.
"And Riku makes lucky number seven in this tournament!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Way to go, Riku," Naminé said lovingly.
"Azu," Azurill said.
And now it was time for the between Iris and Georgia.
"It's Dragon Buster Georgia versus budding Dragon Master Iris!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Good, I've been looking forward to this!" Georgia said.
"If you wanted to battle a big Dragon Type, now's your chane!" Iris said, taking out her Pokéball and threw it. "Here comes Dragonite!" Iris's Dragonite has let out a loud roar.
"And I thought Druddigon was the strongest one she has! A Dragonite should be more fun to battle!" Georgia said, taking out a Pokéball and threw it. "Go! Beartic!" Her Pokéball opened and Beartic roared.
"Dragon Types are weak against Ice Types, which puts Iris at a disadvantage," Dawn said.
"Yeah, but with Flamethrower at his disposal, Beartic will be a sinch to beat," Kairi said. Iris looked right at Dragonite and she could see what Dragonite's intentions are.
"Okay," Iris said. "I understand."
"Our first move will be Hidden Power!" Georgia ordered. Beartic sends Hidden Power right at the dragon Pokémon. Dragonite bats them off with his claws. Everyone watching were shocked.
"Who knew that was coming! Dragonite actually deflected Beartic's Hidden Power!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"That's one headstrong Pokémon if you ask me!" Alder said. Dragonite glared right at Beartic.
"Try this on for size! Use Focus Blast!" Georgia ordered. Beartic hurls Focus Blast right at Dragonite.
"Use Thunder Punch on that Focus Blast!" Iris ordered. Dragonite gave Focus Blast a powerful Thunder Punch.
"Dragonite blocked that Focus Blast with Thunder Punch!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"I said it before and I'll say it again, that is a real headstrong Pokémon!" Alder said.
"Use Ice Beam!" Georgia ordered. Beartic fired Ice Beam, freezing his whole body. "Ice Beam again!" Beartic fired another Ice Beam at Dragonite, freezing him completely.
"Dragonite is now frozen solid!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Dragonite is going to have a bad case of frost bite if Iris doesn't think fast," Sora said in his thoughts.
"Dragonite, you know what to do next," Iris said in her thoughts. Dragonite broke free of the ice and came right at Beartic, ready to take the polar bear Pokémon down.
"How could it still battle? I'm going to put a stop to it! Blizzard!" Georgia ordered. Beartic fired Blizzard right at Dragonite.
"Okay, Dragonite! Thunder Punch!" Iris ordered. Dragonite's fist emits electricity and lands a hit onto Beartic, resulting in a knockout.
"Beartic is unable to battle! Dragonite wins! The winner is Iris!" The referee announced.
"Iris grabs the eighth battle win!" Freddy O'Martian announced. Iris cheered as she has beaten Georgia. She calls back Beartic and scoffed.
"You just got lucky, Iris," Georgia said. "Don't let it go to your head, because I don't plan on losing again!"
"All of the battles were all enjoyable from start to finish," Alder said.
"And now we move on to the second round taking place tomorrow morning! For now, it is best that our winning trainers has some rest until then!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
Now that the first part of the Junior Cup has concluded, only eight more trainers remains, so only one of them will make it to the top and have a chance to battle Alder. And what sort of plans do the Decepticons have planned for the world? Just you wait and see as we press on!
