34. Chapter 34

I'm so sorry for the wait, my computer was having problems and I could work on my stories, and I was working on other stuff. Now onto chapter 34.

Chapter 34

A Traveling Day

Oliver P.O.V.

I don't know if I was alive, but I was in too much pain to be dead. I slowly opened my eyes to find myself in a small room. Then the sound of groaning caught my attention. "I slowly turned my head to see Yuri next to me, and It was dark, I couldn't tell the time of day. "My room…? Why…?" Yuri asked, making me realize we were in his room in Zaphis. "I… don't… know…" I said to Yuri, getting Yuri's attention. "Oliver… you're alive…?" Yuri asked me. "I think… so…" I said to Yuri, as we slowly got up.

"Didn't think she hated me this much." Yuri said to me. "We can worry about her later. We have to worry about our injuries first, and figure out how we got here." I said to Yuri, as we felt the pain from our fall. That's when we noticed our weapons on the edge of bed and strangely a book on Yuri's bed. "What's that?" I asked Yuri, as Yuri looked through the book. "Huh…? The Child of the Full Moon?" Yuri said.

"The leaders of the ancient possessed an innate power, and were called the Child of the Full Moon. The Child of the Full Moon was powered by one of the children of god. In the Shrine of Zaude they received their lives and power. It sealed the Adephagos away, saving the world." Yuri said, reading the book. Then the door opened, and Duke, Absol, and a Dragalge wrapped around Absol walked into the room.

"You two have awakened." Duke said to us. "Duke… So it was you who saved us?" Yuri asked Duke. "No, it was the black dragon here that saved you. And I couldn't afford to have this sword lost to the sea forever." Duke said to us, as he took the Dein Nomos'. "Well then. Thank you Dragalge. But I need that Dein Nomos." I said to Dragalge and Duke, pointing to Alexei's Dein Nomos. "I can not give this to you." Duke said to me.

"I don't want the sword. But that Keystone in it is mine. And I don't want that Latiasite to be abused any more." I said to Duke. Duke looked at me for a few seconds. "Very well." Duke said to me, before taking out my Keystone and the Latiasite, and handing them to me. "Thanks." I said to Duke. "I owe you my thanks as well. So the Shrine of Zaude was powered by the lives of the Children of the Full Moon and Latias?" Yuri asked Duke.

"Humans brought forth the Adephagos, and lead it. Consider it… atonement. After the god gave us his warning. The few remaining Children of the Full Moon, together with the Entelexeia, decided on how the world would be. The Imperial family are their descendants." Duke said to Yuri, looking out a window. "So that's how the Empire started. And that's why that sword- and that Mega Stone- the key to Zaude- Will prove a true emperor." Yuri said to Duke.

"As long as aer is used, no one can oppose the Adephagos. For it is born of aer itself. Even the gods have trouble fighting it. I doubt their little ones can do much." Duke said to us. "You wanted to stop the Adephagos, too. That's why you were going around calming all the aer krene, right?" Yuri asked Duke. "Correct." Duke said to Yuri.

"Why didn't you ask for help from the empire of the guilds? You could have stopped Alexei if you'd done that." Yuri asked Duke. "Yeah. If you know so much, why didn't you say anything?" I asked Duke. "I have aligned myself with the Entelexia. I have no intention of coexisting with humanity. What's more, the masses of humanity will never come to any accord." Duke said to us.

"But what about Absol and Dragalge?" I asked Duke. "They are not like humans. And they have no love for humans either." Duke said to me. "So what are you trying to do? The Adephagos was too much even for the ancient civilization or even the gods." Yuri asked Duke. "There is a way." Duke said to us, making me have a bad feeling. "Why do I have a bad feeling about your way?" I asked Duke.

Duke said nothing, and started to leave. "You say you despise humanity, but what about us? Aren't we human? Why did you give me Dein Nomos? Why did you cooperate?" Yuri asked Duke, making him stop. "You were the only ones who even attempted to communicate with the Entelexeia. That is why… Nevermind. It is done." Duke said to us. "Wait, what are you going to do?" Yuri asked Duke. "I will protect our world- our Terca Lumireis." Duke said to Yuri, before he, Absol, and Dragalge left us.

"Hold on… Argh." Yuri said, as he stood up, but felt the pain from his wound, and forze. "Easy Yuri. We're in no shape to do much." I said to Yuri, as I weakly got up. "Damn it…" Yuri said to me. "Here." I said to Yuri, pulling out the katana I had and Yuri's Keystone. "Thanks." Yuri said to me, taking the katana and Keystone. Then me and Yuri put our weapons on, put the Latiasite in my backpack, and put our Keystones back in the slots, and started to leave, with me and Yuri leaning on each other.

After leaving for a bit, we heard some barking. "What's wrong? Oh!" A female voice said. "Could it be?" Another female voice said. Then we noticed Estelle, Ava, Repede, Houndoom, Manectric, Bisharp, Banette, Audino, and Togekiss came running and noticed us from the top of some stairs. "Yuri…? Oliver…?" Estelle and Ava said to us. "Estelle? Ava? Repede? Bisharp? Banette? Houndoom? Manectric? Audino? Togekiss?" Yuri asked them. "Hey guys." I said to them, "Yuri!/ Oliver!" Estelle and Ava said at the same time, as the Pokemon let out a happy cry.

Then they all charged at us at high speed, and tackled us, laughing. "Hey go easy on us." I said, as me and Yuri cracked a big smile, and was glad to see them. "Yeah. Ouch hey hold on a sec." Yuri said, as Estelle gave him a big hug.

"Yuri, it's really you, right? You and Oliver are not a ghost or something? Oh good, you two have shadows." Estelle said to us. "Oliver you jurk. Do you two have any idea how worried me and Estelle were. We thought you two died." Ava said to us, before she punched us, making us feel pain. "Yeah. We're alive! And yeah, that hurt!" Yuri said to Ava. "You should have known me and Yuri couldn't leave our lovely ladies behind." I said to the girls.

"Thank goodness. I'm so happy." Estelle said to Yuri, hugging him. "Thank Arceus." Ava said to me, before hugging me. Me and Yuri then hugged the girls back, with the Pokemon and Repede looking at us with loving smiles. After a bit, the girls broke the hug, and me and Yuri sat on the stairs.

"Repede, Banette, and Manectric, just rushed out, all of a sudden! I was so surprised." Estelle said to us, as she healed us. "I figure something must have been up and Banette and Manectric left as well." Ava said to us, as Estelle finished her healing. "Thanks. I'm fine now." Yuri said to them. "Yeah, I feel great." I said to them, as the girls sat next to us, and the Pokemon layed on the ground.

"Yuri, Is that wound from… when you fell from Zaude?" Estelle asked Yuri. "Huh? Oh, yeah. I guess so." Yuri said to Estelle. "Yeah, Yuri got hit by a sharde of the crystal on top of Zaude and fell over the edge. I was able to grab him, but I lost my grip on the edge and fell off with him." I said to Estelle. "I can't tell you both how happy I am." Estelle said to us. "Yeah you gave us all quite the heart attack." Ava said to us.

"Sorry to make you worry." Yuri said to the girls. "Yeah, we didn't mean to make you worry." I said to the girls. "I want to go tell everyone! They'll be so happy!" Estelle said to us. "What's everybody doing?" Yuri asked Estelle. "Rita and her Pokemon went to Zaude with Judith and Hugo. She said there was a lot to study being ancient ruins and all." Estelle said to us. "That's Rita." Yuri said to everyone.

"And the others?" I asked the girls. "Patty's helping out with repairs on the Fiertia, too. Karol and Raven went back to Dahngrest." Estelle said to me. "Why?" I asked Estelle. "It seems that relations between the empire and the guilds are worsening again." Estelle said to us. "They're still like that?" Yuri asked the girls.

"Supposedly it's because of Zaude. They went to make sure the guilds didn't do anything rash." Estelle said to Yuri. "First Heracles, then that… Guild or not, people are going to be on guard." Yuri said to everyone. "And Flynn?" I asked the girls. "It's troubling Ioder as well. And Flynn is being Flynn and going off to all corners of the world with his Pokemon." Estelle said to us.

"Everyone's working hard." Yuri said to everyone. "They thought they should do what they can. Even without you two…" Estelle said to us. "Yeah…" Yuri said to everyone. "Because we know… We knew you two were alive." Estelle said to us, making us quiet a little.

"Even Flynn took ships out to look for you two so many times…" Estelle said to us. "I'm so sorry." Yuri said to Estelle. "Yeah, we never meant for this to happen." I said to Estelle. "But thanks to you. We're all fixed up." Yuri said to Estelle. "You should still rest today. Rita. Karol… They can all wait a little longer to see you two." Estelle said to us. "It is very late, and you owe me some cuddles for freaking me out." Ava said to me. Me and Yuri laughed at this a little. "Hehe, as you wish." Yuri said to Estelle. "No argument from me." I said to Ava, as we went back to Yuri's room.

The next morning, we left Yuri's room, with Ava giving my Pokeball back, and we returned our Pokemon to their Pokeballs. While walking we stopped at the fountain, and noticed the Adephagos in the sky.

"Alexei unleashed something terrible. I'm tired of all this "freeing the world" nonsense." Yuri said to everyone. "Agreed." Me and Ava said to Yuri. "Just what is the Adephagos?" Estelle asked everyone. "Who knows? A catastrophe. It can't be anything good. Guess I get to fight a big one this time." Yuri said, sighing. "It certainly is. So you're going after it?" Estelle asked Yuri. "It doesn't look like I'll have a normal life if I don't." Yuri said to Estelle. "I don't think any of us will." I said to Yuri.

"A normal life… For everyone. That's why we fight." Estelle said to everyone. "Yeah. That's enough, right?" Yuri asked Estelle. "Yes, it is." Yuri said to Estelle. "Glad to see we're on the same page." I said to everyone. "I thought I heard a familiar voice! Oh, it's really you!" a male voice said. And we turned to see Hanks and a few people walking to us.

"Hanks! Everybody!" Yuri said to them. "Don't go taking that young lady around everywhere, Yuri. She must be tired. Same goes for you Oilver." Hanks said to us. "What do you mean? Estelle, were you using your power?" Yuri asked Estelle. "She did. No matter how hard I tried to stop her." Ava said to Yuri. "She fixed up every wounded person who came back. We're all in her debt." Hanks said to us. "If there's anything else I can do, please let me know." Estelle said to Hanks and everyone. "Still such a goody goody." I said to Estelle, cracking a smile.

"Nice to see the lower quarter's back to normal." Yuri said to everyone. "It's even better with all the new greenery around her. But it would be perfect if only that thing in the sky weren't there." Hanks said to Yuri. "Don't worry. Leave it to Brave Vesperia." Yuri said to Hanks. "There you go again. Just how are you going to close up that hole in the sky?" Hanks asked Yuri.

"Hey, if anyone can do it, Yuri can!" A young man said to Hanks. "Yeah! He never makes promises he can't keep." A woman said to Hanks. "That's far enough!" A familiar male voice said. We turned our heads to see Leblanc, Adecor, Boccos, Diggersby, and the Nidorans walking to us.

"Now you? What do you want?" Yuri asked Leblanc, as Adecor and the Male Nidoran walked to us. "Heh heh heh. I say, take a look at this." Adecor said to Yuri, showing us a wanted poster of me and Yuri. "Huh? A warrant? For me and Oliver?!" Yuri asked. "Just Yuri and Oliver?" Estelle asked. "What are we guilty of this time?" I asked Leblanc, Adecor, and Boccos. "I say, a knight's duty is to apprehend the unlawful." Adecor said to me, as Leblanc, Boccos, and their Pokemon walked to us.

"So me and Oliver are the only ones with a bounty on our heads? Nobody else?" Yuri asked Leblanc, Adecor, and Boccos, turning his back to them. "That has nothing to do with the matter at hand!" Boccos said to Yuri. "Ahem! We have a proposal. Return to the knights, along with Olivers joining us, and this all goes away." Leblanc said to Yuri.

"What?" Yuri asked them. "So, this is another scam to get us into the knights?" I said to Leblanc. "Someone high up is making a fuss about leaving you two to do as you two please. So…" Leblanc said to me. "You'd feel better putting the reins on us." Yuri said to Leblanc, making Leblanc nodded yes. "Now you two got the idea." Leblanc said to us. Yuri and I looked at each other for a few seconds, and came up with an idea. "Hey! Schwann!" Yuri said in a direction. "Good to see you again, Schwann." I said, in the same direction.

"What? Where?" Leblanc asked, as he, Adecor, and Boccos stood at attention, and turned to the direction me and Yuri were facing. Once they did, Yuri grabbed Estelle's hand, and I grabbed Ava's hand, and we ran. "Hey! Wait!" Leblanc yelled as he noticed us gone. "So long everyone!" Yuri said to everyone. "Until next time!" I said to everyone. "Take Care!" Hanks said to us, as the people waved us bye. "Just as I thought. And I wouldn't have it any other way." Leblanc said to us. "Let's go! Arrest those men!" Leblanc said to his team, before chasing us.

After losing them and making it to the city's main plaza, But Yuri and I were out of breath from running. "This hills pretty brutal." Yuri said to everyone. "I'm sure it's just us still sure from the other day." I said to Yuri. "Those knights are amazing." Estelle said to everyone. "They are tenacious." Yuri said to Estelle. "I think stubben is a better word." Ava said to Estelle.

"Yuri! Oliver!" A familiar female voice said to us. We then looked up to see Patty, Cramerant and Slowbro falling out of the sky. Then Patty hugged me and Yuri at the same time. "Whoa! Patty?! Where did you, Cramerant, and Slowbro come from?" Yuri asked Patty. "Yuri… Oliver… Thanks the seven seas! I know you two were still alive!" Patty said to us. "Yep, still kicking. Somehow." Yuri said to Patty.

"You can thank Duke Dragalge for that." I said to Patty. "Duke has a Dragalge now?" Ava asked me. "Yeah. It fished us out of the water." I said to Ava. "Dragalge?" Estelle said, as she pulled out the Pokedex and looked him up.

Dragalge generates dragon energy by sticking the plume on its head out above the ocean's surface and bathing it in sunlight.

"Sounds like we're not the only people with dragons now." A familiar male voice said to us. As Estelle put the Pokedex away, we noticed Hugo, Judith, Flygon, Salamence, and Noivern walking to us. "Hey! Judith! Hugo! Flygon! Salamence! Noivern!" Estelle said to them. "Estelle, we just came to get you and Ava." Judith said to Estelle. "And it looks like you found our missing trouble makers while we were gone." Hugo said to Estelle.

"Where's Rita?" Estelle asked Judith and Hugo, as we all walked to them. "Rita's in Aspio, putting together all of her research. You'll come too, right?" Judith said to Estelle and asked us. "Yeah, if you don't mind us catching a ride." Yuri said to Judith. "Then let's go." Judith said to everyone. "Pokemon and Patty on Salamence. Ava and Oliver with me on Noivern. Estelle and Yuri with Flygon." Hugo said to everyone.

A few seconds later, me, Ava, and Hugo were on Noivern's back, Judith, Estelle, and Yuri on Flygon's back, and Patty and the Pokemon on Salamence's back. "Sorry to make you worry, Judy." Yuri said to Judith. "My heart was about to burst from worrying so much." Judith said to Yuri. "Yeah, right." Yuri said to Judith. "Hey, I really mean it." Judith said to Yuri. "We all were. We were completely consumed with panic when we couldn't find you two after the battle with Alexei. Estelle and Ava took it the worse" Hugo said to Yuri, making us look at the girls.

"Waaaait!" Leblanc yelled. "Not again. Just once! Just once. I want to take it easy when I leave some place." Yuri said to everyone. "Where's the fun in that?" I asked Yuri, before giggling, and we took off into the sky. Soon we took off into the sky and reached Ba'ul. "Hey Ba'ul." I said, as we landed on the Fiertia. As Ba'ul took off, we noticed Leblanc, Adecor, Boccos, Diggersby, and the Nidorans below us. "Goodbye, Knights!" Yuri said to them. "Better luck next time!" I said to them. "Get back here!" Leblanc yelled at us, as we flyed away.

A couple hours later we made it to Aspio, and when we landed in Aspio, Hugo returned Noivern to his Pokeball. "Eureka!" a familiar female voice yelled, as we walked into Aspio. Then we saw Rita, Reuniclus, and Metagross running. "Oh! Rita, Yuri and Oliver are…" Estelle said to Rita, as Rita and her Pokemon ran past us. "And there she goes." I said to everyone. "We're more invisible to her than a camouflaged cuttlefish." Patty said to everyone. "It seems like she;s blind to everything but her research right now." Judith said to everyone.

"I can't really blame the people here for treating her like such a weirdo." Yuri said to everyone. "She looked so happy. She must have discovered something." Estelle said to everyone. "How could you tell, she was moving like lightning?" Ava asked Etelle. "I hope Rita did find something. Let's go and see." Yuri said to everyone, before heading to Rita's home.

When we made it to Rita's home, we found books floating around the room, with Rita looking through the books, with Metagross using Psychic to move the books around, and Reuniclus watching this. "Hmm… We should be able to calculate the force field stability coefficient. So…" Rita said, reading a book, before tossing it into the air. "Rita?" Estelle asked Rita, as Rita pulled another book out of the air and opened it.

"We could make a key formula. Efficiency is okay. Making a stable, non-dispersing piece should be…" Rita said. "Hey, Rita!" Yuri said to Rita. "Aren't you going to at least say high!" I said to Rita. "What?! Don't bother me! … Huh?!" Rita said to us, before noticing us.

"Oh, it's you… how did you two get into… wait, you two are…?" Rita asked me and Yuri. "Hi." Me and Yuri said to Rita. Rita smiled at this, but shook the smile off her face. "Metagross put the Books back. And you two! Where the hell were you two?! I looked all over for you two, you know…" Rita said to us, as Metagross put all the books on the bookshelf. "Ahh, sorry about that." Yuri said to Rita. "Yeah, we didn't mean to make you worry." I said to Rita.

"Humph, wll, whatever, I don't have time to argue about that. I have something very important to talk to Estelle about." Rita said to us. "To Estelle?" Yuri asked Rita. "What'd you got?" I asked Rita. "I may have found a way to control the behavior of aer." Rita said to me. "Really?! That's great, Rita!" Estelle said to Rita, getting excited. "I feel like there's a but coming." Ava said to Rita.

"No buts. I learned lots of things when I investigated Zaude. Like how we might be able to apply the techniques used there. However…" Rita said to everyone. "That is related to Estelle's power as a Child of the Full Moon?" Judith asked Rita. "We need to interact with the aer to make it recombine freely according to a formula… This is something only Estelle can do." Rita said to everyone.

"If only I hadn't given Dein Nomos back." Yuri said to everyone. "Not like we had a choice. "At least he let us keep my Keystone and the Latiasite." I said to everyone, pulling out the Latiasite from my bag, and showing it off for a few seconds before putting it back in bag. "So that's how you meet Duke?" Hugo asked us. "Yeah. after Dragalge fished us out. Duke took us back to the capital. Well, he said it was so he could recover the sword." Yuri said to Hugo.

"That sword's different from the Child of the Full Moon. I doubt it could be a substitute." Rita said to Yuri. "but that control formula you used on Estelle… That was to control the power of the Child of the Full Moon, wasn't it?" Judith said to Rita. "Yeah. So if we're going to control the aer with this theory… we have to release the control formula on Estelle." Rita said to everyone.

"So… if everything goes right, we control the aer. But if we screw up, the ear will get even worse, and the world will fall to the Adephagos. Is that about right?" Yuri asked Rita. "That's quite a bold plan." Judith said to Rita. "Aye, it's a plan as bold as jellyfish stuck in shallow waters." Patty said to everyone.

Well it's not like there are many options left. Remember the ancient civilization couldn't do anything to stop it. So we need to try something new." Hugo said to everyone. "I'm sure it'll be fine. Estelle… believe me. Lend me your power. Rita said to everyone and asked Estelle. Estelle didn't say anything. "Are you scared?" Judith asked Estelle. "No, I'm happy. I might still be able to use my power to help others." Estelle said to Judith. "Rita. Please let me know if there is anything I can do." Estelle said to Rita.

"So what exactly do we need to do?" Yuri asked Rita. "Well, I'm not completely finished working everything out. Give me a little more time." Rita said to Yuri. "Okay. We'll go see Karol and Raven while you figure things out." Yuri said to everyone. "Great!" Estelle said to everyone. "I'll go, too. I've got all the materials I need in my head. I'll let you know when I work it all out." Rita said to everyone. "Alright, me hearties. Let's get going!" Patty said to everyone. "You heard the lady. Off to Dahngrest." I said to everyone, as we left Aspio and got back to Ba'ul. Once we were all on board the Fiertia, we started to head to Dahngrest.

We reached Dahngrest hours later, after the sun had set. When we got there, we saw Harry running with Drampa following him. "Damn it, why did I have to do it! And why won't you leave me alone?! Haven't I hurt you enough?!" Harry said to Drampa, as they ran past us, not noticing us.

"That was.. The Don's grandson, and the Don's Pokemon. Harry and Drampa… right?" Yuri asked everyone. "Yeah, but why was he running? And why was Drampa following him?" I asked everyone, before we heard someone yelling. We turned our heads to see Karol, Raven, Gogoat, Mawile, Excadrill, and Sableye standing nearby. "Yuri! Oliver!" Karol said to us, before charing at us at full force, almost forcing us to the ground when he hugged us.

"Easy there Karol." I said to Karol, as Karol broke the hug. "I can't believe you two! You two should've told me you were alive…" Karol said to us. "Sorry for worrying you." Yuri said to Karol. "I'm sorry too." I said to Karol. "But we're back!" Yuri said to Karol, as Raven, and the Pokemon walked to us. "Well aren't you two tough. Heh heh. That's my boys!" Raven said to me and Yuri. "Since when are we "your boys"?" Oliver asked Raven.

"Yeah, Oliver is my boy." Patty said to Raven. "I ain't handin' him over to you, Patty darlin'!" Raven said to Patty. "You're both wrong. Oliver is my boy." Ava said to Patty and Raven. "Can we stop this conversation before I get pulled in multiple directions, by you three. And for the record. I am Ava's boy." I said to Ava, Raven, and Patty.

"Anyway. We just saw Harry and Drampa- did something happen to him? And why was Drampa with him?" Yuri asked Raven. "Ah, there's been just a teency bit of trouble." Raven said to Yuri. "Define trouble?" I asked Raven. "The Union's kind of a ship without a captain, right now." Raven said to me.

"So the people won't come together unless there's some kind of core." Judith said to everyone. "Karol nodded yes. "Core…! That's it!" Rita said, surprising everyone. "What's it?" Karol asked Rita. "I've got it! Apatheia. It'll work if I use apatheia. So even if the aer's stability coefficient keeps changing, if I connect one of those…" Rita said to everyone, but Yuri interrupted her.

"Hold on. Forget the explanation. We wouldn't understand it anyway." Yuri said to Rita. "Oh, okay. The apatheia we gave to The Don should still be around, right?" Rita asked everyone. "That was Belius' apatheia, the cyano ciel." Judith said to Rita, confusing Karol and Raven. "Rita's found a way to control aer." Estelle said to Karol and Raven. "Really?! Cool!" Karol said to Estelle.

"Not when it's Belius apatheia. I refuse to let you use it for your experiments." Hugo said to everyone. "Come on Hugo." Rita said to Hugo. "Don't come on me. Belius taught me a lot of things, and I considered her my friend. I won't let you pervert her soul on a whim." Hugo said to Rita. Then Judith put a hand on Hugo's shoulder, and made her face him.

"Look Hugo, I understand. I would feel the same if we used Ba'ul apatheia as well. But we have to try this. But I know Belius would appreciate it, that you care enough about her to protect her apatheia." Judith said to Hugo. "But…" Hugo said to Judith, but Judith put a finger on his lips. "No buts, my brave warrior. If Belius was here, I'm sure she would want this." Judith said to Hugo, removing her finger. "You're lucky you're cute. Fine we can use Belius apatheia. But for the record, I don't like this." Hugo said to Judith, crossing his arms. "I can live with that." Judith said to Hugo.

"If you two are done flirting? Can we get back on topic." I asked Hugo and Judith, making them blush and look away from each other. "Now then where is Belius apatheia?" I asked everyone. "Do you know what happened to the cyano ceil after The Don died?" Yuri asked Raven. "Um… Nope." Raven said to Yuri.

"What about Harry? Shouldn't he know, being the Don's grandson and all?" Patty asked everyone. "Good timing, too. Me, Excadrill and Sableye were just about to take him back. We looked at each other for a few seconds before moving to the Union Headquarters.

After a few minutes, we reached it, and went in, but the atmosphere was stange, and we stood in a back corner of the room. "The atmosphere is kind of strange." Yuri said to everyone. "So I'm not the only one feeling that." I said to Yuri. "yeah… the Union is falling apart…" Karol said to everyone, as Raven, Harry, Excadrill, Sableye, and Drampa came up to us. "Cause nobody wants to step in ta take The Don's place. And The Don's heir ain't quite up to it. Come on. Don't hang back, now." Raven said to us and Harry.

"I was the one who led Grandpa to his death. Someone like me could never become a man like The Don was." Harry said to Raven, not looking at Raven. "Nobody's sayin' ya gotta become a man like The Don was. We're just saying you should at least show up to the succession meetings." Raven said to Harry.

"Hey, do you have The Don's apatheia? We'd appreciate it if you could give it to us." Rita asked Harry. "Wow, that was quite a fastball, Rita…" Karol said to Rita. "And it was very tactful. Ava said to Rita. "Drampa hid the apatheia. And he's ordered to give it to whoever succeeds The Don. It's not given to outsiders." Harry said to Rita.

"What? Well, when will they choose a successor?" Rita asked Harry. "I don't know. Don't ask me." Harry said to Rita, looking away from us. "Well then, who should we ask?" Patty asked Harry. Harry said nothing and walked away from us. "That boy's a real piece of work." Yuri said to everyone. "Give him a break. He's used to living in the shadow of his grandpa, and when he finally has a chance to get out of it, he ends up killing his grandpa. I think he has the right to be annoying right now." I said to Yuri.

"But, who's going to protect the city if the Union isn't?" Yuri asked us. "What? That would be our guild, of course!" an old man with a large sword said to us. "Talking of who's guild? I know that you sent in your Clouds Dawn members to Zaude." a young man in white armor said to the old man.

"The Union has never been outstripped by the empire. We cannot sit here and risk falling behind!" The old man said to the young man. "I say it was impudent. It could have been taken as the Union's hostile act against the Empire." The young man said to the old man. "In that case, we would defend our honor on the battlefield." The old man said to the young man. "And who will be leading the battle? The Clouds of Dawn? If the Don got wind of that he'd burst out laughing." the young man said to the old man. "So why don't you boys in Altosk throw your hat in the ring? Maybe then we'd see just how unpopular you really are!" the old man said to the young man.

"This is ridiculous. Continue as you please till the world comes to an end. But don't bring up a war between the guilds. This isn't a joke." Yuri said to the old and young man. "Hey, I've got a great idea! Let's just set a bit of driftwood In The Don's chair! A hard existence being worn down by the waves lends it the exact same air of dignity!" Patty said to everyone. "My, how ingenious." Judith said to Patty, as we noticed everyone in the room giving us mean looks.

"Yeah. You just keep talking…" The young man said to us, before Karol ran into the middle of the room. "It's alright to be helped by your friends. Procet your friends and they'll respond in kind. That was the last thing the Don said to me." Karol said to everyone. "Karol…" Yuri said to Karol, but I stopped him. "Let him talk." I said to Yuri.

"What? Who's this kid?" the old man asked, getting a close look at Karol. "Leave him alone!" Hugo said to the old man, with a mean look, making the old man back away. "I can't do anything by myself, but I have my friends! Both Human and Pokemon! Because my friends are there for me, I can do anything! They're still there for me, even now. Why isn't that good enough for the Union?!" Karol asked everyone.

"The boy is right. The best thing that the guilds ever had was their ability to help each other. There is always a way to deal with things even if ya aren't some great big leader." Raven said to everyone. "They're right. Now's not the time to fight with each other. Big or small, we all have to stand together." I said to everyone. "The Don told you that from now on, you have to walk with your own feet. You know how to walk on your own feet, don't you?" Yuri asked everyone.

This made the old man go quiet. "You make it sound so easy, but actually-." The young man said to us, but Ava interrupted him. "You're right it's not easy getting over a good man's death. But is this what The Don wanted for all of you? To be at each other's thoughts when he was gone. No it's not. He wanted the Union to last long after he was gone. But all of you, you're stuck in the past. I still mourn for The Don as well, but at least I'm trying to move forward. Can any of you say the same?" Ava asked everyone.

No one said anything. "Let's go. I'm gonna get sick if I have to stay here any longer." Yuri said to us. "Agree." I said to Yuri, as he and I started to leave. "Hey, you two, wait up!" Rita said, as everyone else started to follow us out of the Headquarters.

After taking a few steps away from the Headquarters, Rita got in front of us. "What about the apatheia!" Rita asked us. "If you've got enough spare time to be hanging around those idiots, you'd be better off using it to think of another plan." Yuri said to Rita. "Another plan… It's not that easy…" Rita said to Yuri. "Well it's either another plan, or we find another apatheia. Take your pick." I said to Rita.

"You'll be able to come up with something if you just don't sleep for three days!" Patty said to Rita. "Why is it on me?!" Rita asked Patty. "Cause you're the genius here." Ava said to Rita. Then we noticed Harry and Drampa walking towards us. "Here." Harry said to us. Then Harry tossed the apatheia to Yuri. "Are you… giving this to us?" Yuri asked Harry.

"No, Drampa's going to forget where he put it. I had promised to take care of Drampa to get this from him." Harry said to us. "Drampa." Drampa said, wrapping his neck around Harry. "Oh that's it. Drampa was following you because he wants you to be his new partner and he's worried about you." I said to Harry. "Maybe. But I have a lot to learn when it comes to being a good partner." Harry said to me, as Drampa unwrapped his neck from Harry

"I owe you one." Yuri said to Harry. "Get a move on before the others realize it's not missing but stolen." Harry said to us. "Ta what do we owe this generosity?" Raven asked Harry. "I dunno. Maybe it just left a bad feeling in my stomach to get lectured by a kid like that." Harry said to us, before leaving. "Take care of him Drampa. He still has a lot to deal with." Ava said to Drampa. "Drampa." Drampa said to Ava before going after Harry.

"Maybe there's some hope for that boy after all." Raven said to everyone. "With Drampas help. Maybe." Ava said to Raven. "So now that we've gotten the Apatheia, what's next?" Judith asked Rita. "Next up, we're going to the Zopheir Rift. I'm going to use the unactivated aer krene that's there." Rita said to Judith.

"The Rift? We're going someplace cold again? Mind if ol' Raven and his Pokemon waits here?" Raven asked everyone. "You three are coming." Ava said to Raven and his Pokemon. "You'd rather be cold than have the world be destroyed, wouldn't you? Let's go." Yuri said to Ravan, then everyone. "Yes, let's go back to the frozen wasteland where we almost got eaten." I said to everyone in a sarcastic tune.
