It was the morning of the beginning of their voyage to the Dark Island. Ninja and Knights were finishing up the last of the tasks to set sail except Cole and Jay who were taking it slightly easier due to their more recent injuries.
Civilians had gathered at the docks to see the heroes off on their journey. The Ninja were saying goodbye to their friends and family, while the Knights finished up. Jay's face lit up at the sight of his parents, "Mom, Dad!" He called as he used his crutches to limp over to him.
Ed and Edna went over to their son and hugged him close. Edna was the first to ask her son,"Jay, What happened to you?"
Jay let out an uncomfortable laugh,"Just got a bit roughed up well while protecting Cole from some Stone Soldiers."
His explanation got a rise out of his father Ed,"I'm proud of you son, you truly do have a heart of gold." which in return made Jay smile as he gave his parents another hug.
Off to the side Lloyd was saying goodbye to his elemental dragon with Robin who wanted to see the dragon one last time before they left.
"I wish he could come with us." Robin said, petting one of the heads of the four headed dragon. Lloyd's dragon let out a happy cry at Robin's touch.
Lloyd smiled at Robin's kindness,"Me too, but he can't sadly, there's no room on the Bounty for him to sleep without sinking us and he'd be exhausted if he flew all of us there." he explained.
Lloyd put his head against one of the dragon's heads and whispered,"Stay safe boy." The dragon let out a sigh, as if telling Lloyd 'yes'.
"Alright you guys ready to go?"
The two brothers turned to see Kai standing behind them.
"Yeah we're ready" Lloyd said as he walked away from his dragon with Robin.
"Good, Clay says everything is ready, so we can set sail...Great." Kai muttered hating about the idea of being surrounded by water for about three days by Ava's calculations.
Robin cocked his head a bit confused by Kai's last word but chose to ignore it when he noticed everyone boarding the Bounty,"Come on guys, let's go!" he said running up the steps on the Bounty.
Lloyd watched Robin run aboard the Bounty and straight up to Clay and began talking about their upcoming journey, "Oh yeah, that's totally your little brother Lloyd he's has the same crazy energy as you." Kai said before giving Lloyd's hair a good ruffle.
Lloyd laughed as he pushed Kai's hand away,"K-Kai! I told you not the hair!"
Kai chucked back,"Okay, okay, come on let's get this trip over with before I wimp out." They walked aboard the ship and began their voyage to the Dark Island.
Meanwhile on The Dark Island…
Monstrux, Jestro and their band of Monsters had arrived on the island and had begun their search.
Jestro looked very concerned as he used his staff to move away branches and vines in his way. Monstrux had been speaking about this 'old friend' of his for days now. It wasn't till the group was surrounded by Stone Warriors that Jestro's stomach filled with dread.
A Stone Warrior in red walked up to them and spoke in an ancient language, Monstrux became annoyed,"Will you drop that Stone Age language crap general! It's Monstrux, take me to the Overlord."
The Stone General cocked his head to the side but turned around and began leading them to their camp.
Why did this feel wrong? Why did he feel so uneasy? Was it just him, or was Clay right all along?
It wasn't long till they reached their camp, Stone Warriors were everywhere patrolling the perimeter, carrying cases of purple sludge, and creating weapons and vehicles. They were certainly more productive than their group.
The Stone General stopped them in front of a large purple tent,"Allow me to get the Master, wait here." He spoke before entering the tent.
Monstrux nudged him from the side,"Aren't you excited pal, we will finally be rid of those pesky Ninja and Nexo Knights soon and then no one can stop us from taking over the world."
Jestro looked away from the Book of Monsters and to the Stone Warriors once more,"Y-Yeah, awesome… Monstrux aren't these the same warriors that we brought back with the spell?"
"Of course they are, why are you so concerned about it?" Monstrux asked but before Jestro could answer Lord Garmadon appeared from his tent.
Lord Garmadon glared at the group,"Who are you guys? My General informed me that you know my partner, you are looking for someone named the Overlord?"
Monstrux,examined the dark man from head to toe,"Yes we are and who are you?" This was not the Overlord, that's for sure.
Lord Garmadon held his hands behind his back,"I am Lord Garmadon, Ruler of Darkness and soon to be Conqueror of Ninjago."
Monstrux raised a brow at Lord Garmadon, impressive title but he still wasn't the Overlord, as his mouth opened to ask another question a small orange orb with a purple aura appeared behind Garmadon.
"Ah, Monstrux my old friend, it's so nice to see a friendly face." It spoke in an ominous voice.
Garmadon turned to the orb,"Wait, you know them?"
"Of course, Monstrux is the one who helped me create my indestructible Stone Army." The orb clarified.
Monstrux did that? He created this army for that orb, then that orb must be the Overlord. Did this Garmadon not know? Jestro was pulled away from his thoughts as his partner Monstrux spoke.
"Not really indestructible anymore." Monstrux said as he thought back to the peach tornado that destroyed a couple of the Stone Warriors in Ninjago days ago.
"What? What destroyed my army?" The orb or The Overlord demanded from his friend.
Monstrux thought back to those couple days prior to remembering the giant peach hurricane that had appeared from the Fortrex,"Not sure, it formed a giant peach colored hurricane though, and I wasn't sticking around to let it destroy me too, whatever it was."
Lord Garmadon's eyes widened at the mention of the word 'peach',"Peach you say...the only tornado I know with color is spinjitzu but I know all the Ninja's colors none of them make peach except...my father…" Garmadon seemed saddened but quickly regained his posture,"But that's impossible, my father has been deceased for years."
Jestro thought back to the events himself, the tornado emerged right out of the Fortrex, he remembered seeing all of them, Aaron, Axl, Macy, Lance and later Ava and… Clay. He felt a sinking feeling in his heart as he thought of Clay. Wait, how many did he just name?
Jestro started naming the Nexo Knights under his breath as he counted them on his fingers. Monstrux listened to his muttering,"Jestro what are you babbling about now?"
"Monstrux, how many Nexo Knights are there?" Jestro asked as he counted agin how many he saw on his hands.
"I don't know like seven of them, why?"
"Because when that hurricane happened only six of them were there, and we know all seven of them were in the Fortrex because we watched them leave." Jestro said, was he right? Could that hurricane really have been created by him? No, it couldn't have been why was he even saying this?
"You're right, pal. One of them was missing." Monstrux mentioned as he pieced together what Jestro was saying,"Nice observation skills."
"What do you mean one of them was missing, why does that matter?" Lord Garmadon said, frustrated slightly from their side-conversation.
Monstrux smiled as he explained,"Because the certain person that was missing was also with the ninja for a couple of days and if this power can destroy the Stone Army. Then we might have a problem on our hands."
The orb flew over to Monstrux's side," I agree 'old friend' who is this missing Nexo knight that you speak of?"
The overlord awaited the answer but Monstrux nudged her to and whispered,"Tell him Jestro, you know their faces I don't.
Could he do it though? The person meant so much to Clay but Monstrux was expecting an answer… He had to do it," It's… It's a little brat named Robin, he was missing when the tornado appeared and he was also the one who was with the ninja."
Lord Garmadon was shocked, peach colored tornadoes, the same name he had given his abandoned son, it is impossible. No it was just a coincidence but was it? "What does this 'Robin' look like?"
Jestro bit his lip at Garmadon's question, why did this feel so wrong? "I don't know he's like yae' tall, peach hair, with blue eyes. I think he turned nine recently too."
He couldn't believe it, was this his youngest son that this jester was speaking about, how did he get to Ninjago and why?
Lord Garmadon turned to the General Stone Warrior,"You heard the jester inform your men that if this child is found anywhere on the island, bring him to me at once."
The General gave a nod before leaving the group leaving Jestro's stomach with a growing pit of regret.
