Together with the help of Doctor Julien, the group managed to fix the hole in the boat with ease.
Robin finished hammering in the last nail, finishing the patching of the large hole in the side of the ship.
Dr. Julien turned to him,"My, my aren't you handy with a set of tools."
Robin places the hammer back down in the toolbox and closes it, "I dabble in robotics and engineering myself. Though I never have built anything like Zane. My robots are human operating but Zane if I was never told he was a nindroid I would've never known. He acts so life-like."
Dr. Julien adjusted his glasses as he recalled the moments of building Zane, "Zane was my greatest creation, I put a lot of time and care into building him but that's not what makes him so special. What makes him special is that he can make his own decisions like a normal person… Something I never programmed into him, it was a miracle given to him by the elemental gods."
"His Ice powers… the other ninja told me they used to have powers too, I wish I could have seen them." Robin said as he imagined seeing Kai's Fire, Jay's Lightning, Cole's Earth, and Zane's Ice. It would have been so cool.
"Do you believe in miracles?" Dr. Julien asked the young mechanic.
Robin nodded, having seen the Nexo Knights themselves perform miracles before his very eyes. Of course he believed in miracles. Why was he asking this?
"Believe in miracles and they will answer your wishes." Dr. Julien said before walking out of the repaired room.
Robin stood there by himself pondering the elder's words, were there miracles awaiting them? If so, when? And what were they?
Upstairs the Ninjas and the Knights were having so Competitive Training, the rule was if you fell down, you were out.
The last ones standing were Cole and Lloyd, their respected teams cheering on the sidelines.
"Come on Lloyd, you can do it!" Kai cheered.
Cole used his hands to project his voice better,"Yeah show that Nexo Knight what we taught you!"
Nya rolled her eyes at the competitiveness of Cole and Kai but cheered herself,"Do your best Lloyd! It's not always about winning."
And on the other side the Nexo Knights were rooting for Clay.
"Show them what you're made of Clay" Macy cheered
Aaron pumped his fist in the air,"You got this dude!"
"Show them how much of a training finatic you are!" Lance said with a smile.
Clay exchanged glances with Lloyd as the two began circling the ring waiting for the other to strike. Clay was the first to strike, but Lloyd rolled out of the way. The green ninja attempted to counter with a kick but the knight used his shield to block him and shoved him away.
Lloyd caught his balance and ducked as Clay swung his sword before using his leg to sweep kick Clay to the floor.
Clay hit the floor,"Nice one." He said as he stood up,"It has been a while since I fought someone with a different set of skills."
Lloyd smiled,"Thank you Clay." He managed to say before Kai pulled him into a side hug,"I knew you could do it!"
"Just don't let the one victory go to your head." The group turned to see Sensei Wu with Doctor Julien.
"Never Sensei," Lloyd said as he bowed in respect.
Sensei felt a sense of pride, he trained his pupils well, "Well the Bounty is now ready for departure we should arrive at the Dark Island by sunrise."
The atmosphere felt very intense at the moment, everyone was nervous about what awaited them. Clay with his courageous heart said,"Do not worry Wu, whatever is waiting for our arrival on the island we'll be ready for." His words gave the group the hope and encouragement they needed.
The Nexo Knights and the Ninja never felt so unstoppable in the world.
That night Misako was in her room with her scrolls spread out on the table. Her eyes scanned the scrolls for any clue as to what was going on with her youngest son.
She was in such a deep concentration she was unaware of Sensei Wu's entrance into the room till he called her name,"Misako?"
Misako looked over her shoulder to see Wu,"Oh Wu, is there something you need?"
He walked into the room,"You missed dinner, I was concerned for you." He said.
Misako continued to rummage through her scrolls,"I am sorry I was very focused on my research."
Sensei Wu looked at the scrolls laying out on the table and none of them have any relation to each other,"What are you looking for?"
Misako looks at him before setting her scrolls down and closing the door behind Wu to give them more privacy,"It's Robin. He's seeing what I think is the first Spinjitzu Master."
"My father?" Sensei Wu questions, clearly surprised,"Why would he be seeing him?"
Misako shook her head,"I have no idea the scrolls mention a messager for the Golden Ninja but only the Green Ninja is able to speak with him… Robin can't be the Green Ninja the Golden Weapons reacted to Lloyd.
"Lloyd is also the only one to present the green energy in the scrolls." Sensei Wu said as he stroked his long bread.
Misako moved a couple of her scrolls around, "I just don't understand. I thought it was only Lloyd… I'm already at the risk of losing my husband or my oldest son. I can't lose my baby boy too!" She said as tears began to swell in the corners of her eyes.
Wu gently rested his hand on top of hers,"We won't. We will find a way to prevent this, I promise Misako."
A warm smile crept it's way on her face,"Thank you." She replied.
Further into the night, the Bounty was very silent. All the passengers were asleep. However little whines and mumbles could be heard coming from Robin as he tossed and turned on his bed. His eyes lids tensed as he gripped the sheets below him as he continued dreaming…
In Robin's dream…
Robin was standing alone on a beach in his pjs, he could feel the sand between his toes as his eyes looked around him. His surroundings were covered in a thick fog that he could not see past.
"Hello?" Robin asked as he walked forward in the sand, the fog was so thick he could barely see what was in front of him. What's going on? Where was he?
The peached haired boy tricked through the sand, he had a feeling he needed to find something but what? Why did he have the urge to find something?
Then he saw it… a small golden light…
Robin tried to run towards it but a sharp pain with a split second image of the inside of the golden tornado he created with Lloyd entered his mind. What was that?
His blue eyes focused back on the golden light, he needed to get to that light. Something… something in him urged him to go closer.
He began moving closer to the light as another image appeared in his mind of the stone army being evaporated with a blinding light. Robin clutched his head at the aching pain but continued to track through the sand.
Images kept appearing in his head with sharp stabbing pains: a large machine winding in circles with a large clock, an abandoned temple, a large bell that swayed from side to side letting out a loud chime.
The bell sound ringed in his ears as he fell to his knees, his eyes screwed shut. This sound… it became too much for him to handle… What did this mean? What did all of this mean?
"Robin…"
Robin looked up at the sound of his name, the voice sounded so familiar. He knew that familiar silver metal with the contrasting blue protective undergarments anywhere.
He stood up and immediately hugged the figure in front of him,"Clay. I don't know what's going on? I keep seeing things and it's starting to scare me… Clay?" The knight in training pulled away to look at the knight to see a sand sculpture of him.
Robin took a step back as the sand figure of Clay was blown away. The sand around him raged into a tornado around him.
Robin covered his head with his hands as he sat on the ground,"This isn't happening. This is not real. It's not real. It's not!" He told himself. He was scared but who wouldn't be, this place made no sense. None of anything that has been happening to him made sense. The golden tornado, the light vanishing the Stone Army, the machine counting down, the ruined temple, the bell.
He needed to get out of here. He wanted out of here. Someone save him!
Then…
The golden light…
Robin slowly lifted his head up as the golden light seemed to be approaching him. Robin stood up again the sand around him falling back on the ground revealing the light to be a person.
His blue eyes widened, the person was the same man he had been seeing in the corner of his vision at times. "It's you…" Robin muttered under his breath.
The elder bowed slightly, "It is time for you to wake up Robin."
A light appeared below Robin and began to engulf their surroundings.
"W-Wait, I have so many questions! How do you know my name? Who are you? Why do I see you sometimes? Wait! Wait!" Robin said as he too was engulfed by the blinding light.
In the world of reality...
"Wait!"
Robin exclaimed as he sat up on his floor mattress bed, his chest rose and fell as he looked around the room to see that he was the only one in the room. Where were the others?
The loud footsteps alerted him to someone's presence; he turned to see Clay appear in the doorway.
Clay seemed worried as he walked over to the younger knight,"Are you okay? I heard a scream."
Robin stood and rubbed the sleep crust out of his eyes,"Y-Yeah… Just a bad dream."
Clay gave Robin a sympathetic smile,"Wanna talk about it over some breakfast? Axl and Zane made a big breakfast for all of us."
The younger smiled as he gave a small nod and followed his older brother figure to the kitchen.
