Episode 507: The Might of Team Eevee!
We now come to the last battle of the day as Nate and Cameron makes it to the battlefield, ready to go.
"Are now down to the last battle of the day! On the right, it's Cameron, and on the left, it's Nate! Both of these boys has come this far, and only one of them will be advancing to the next one!" Freddy O'Martian announced. Nate and Cameron both entered the battlefield ready to go.
"This is the battle I'm going win this battle! Nate is nothing special compared to me!" Cameron said.
"Rio!" Riolu said.
"Now which one will I use?" Cameron asked himself. He pulled his headband and snapped it at his forehead. "Ouch! My head! That's it! I know who to use!" Cameron said, taking out his first Pokéball and threw it. "Go! Ferrothorn!" His Pokéball opened as Ferrothorn came out to battle. Nate took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"You're up, Arcanine!" Cameron called out. Arcanine let out a loud howl upon entry.
"Cameron has chosen Ferrothorn as Cameron has chosen Arcanine!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Ferrothorn! Use Metal Claw!" Cameron ordered. Ferrothorn came right at Arcanine with Metal Claw.
"Use Fire Blast!" Nate ordered. Arcanine fired Fire Blast and took Ferrothorn out with just one hit.
"Ferrothorn is unable to battle! Arcanine wins!" The referee announced.
"It's just the beginning of the match and Cameron had just lost one with just one hit!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"He should have remembered that Ferrothorn is a Grass Type and a Steel Type; both weak against Fire Type moves," Iris said. "He is such a littler kid than Ven, and even he wouldn't make a mistake like that."
"Nate is showing lots of promise out there, we can see that," Terra said. Cameron called back Ferrothorn and sighed.
"Sorry, Ferrothorn," Cameron apologized. "Better think." He pulled his headband again and he groaned in pain. "Ooh, that hurts! I know who to use now!" Cameron took out his next Pokéball and threw it. "Samurott! Go!" His Samurott came on out to battle.
"Cameron's second Pokémon is his Samurott! It looks like he's making up for his past mistake!" FreddyO'Martian announced. Nate called back his Arcanine and took out his next Pokéball and threw it. "Nate is making a switch!"
"Go! Magnezone!" Nate called out. Magnezone entered the battlefield ready to go.
"Nate has switched from Arcanine to Magnezone, an Electric Type Pokémon!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Samurott! Use Razor Shell!" Cameron ordered. Samurott swung one of her Seamitars at the magnet zone Pokémon.
"Dodge it!" Nate called out. Magnezone dodges Samurott's Razor Shell by moving to the right. "Use Lock-On!" Magnezone creates a target on Samurott. "Now use Zap Cannon!" Magnezone fired Zap Cannon, landing a direct hit. Not only Zap Cannon was super-effective, but Samurott was now paralyzed from the attack..
"Samurott's not looking so good," Ocellus said.
"Samurott's paralyzed. Whenever Zap Cannon makes contact with a target, that target ends up being paralyzed," Cilan said. "Nate had this planned from the start."
"Poor Cameron," Fluttershy said.
"Samurott! Use Hydro Cannon!" Cameron ordered.
"Magnezone! Use Zap Cannon!" Nate ordered. Magnezone fired Magnet Bomb and it struck the formidable Pokémon on the mark. Samurott had been taken out.
"Samurott is unable to battle! Magnezone wins!" The referee announced.
"The scoreboard is now two to three in the number of remaining Pokémon!" Freddy O'Martian announced. Cameron called back his Samurott and he looked right at Riolu.
"It's up to you, Riolu," Cameron said.
"Lu!" Riolu said, entering the battlefield.
"Cameron's third and final Pokémon is Riolu!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"He's sending in Riolu?" Starlight asked.
"Riolu is a perfect match against Magnezone since he's a Fighting Type, and Magnezone is a Steel Type," Kairi said.
"I just can't believe something so adorable can fight such a bigger opponent," Rarity said.
"Power can come in small packages," Meowth said.
"Magnezone! Use Magnet Bomb!" Nate ordered. Magnezone fired Magnet Bomb right at Riolu.
"Dodge and move in with Circle Throw!" Cameron ordered. Riolu dodged Magnezone's attack and ran right under Magnezone. He gave the magnet zone Pokémon a toss ahead of it.
"A super-effective hit!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Force Palm!" Cameron ordered. Riolu gave Magnezone a hit with Force Palm. That was super-effective as well. "Force Palm again and again!" Riolu kept up the Force Palm. Riolu repeatedly hits Magnezone with Force Palm until Magnezone could take no more. Magnezone was beaten.
"Magnezone is unable to battle! Riolu wins!" The referee announced.
"Cameron has finally taken down one of Nate's Pokémon! Could he possibly be making a comeback?" Freddy O'Martian asked. Riolu started to evolve. "Ladies and gentlemen, Riolu is starting to evolve!"Evolving?" Gallus asked in shock.
"What we're seeing is Pokémon evolution," Gomamon said. Riolu had now become a Lucario.
"Ladies and gentlemen, Riolu has evolved into a Lucario!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Wow," Sandbar said.
"That. Is. Awesome," Rainbow Dash said.
"So, that's how they do it," Spike said.
"That is so awesome! You evolved into a Lucario!" Cameron exclaimed happily. The newly evolved Lucario turned and smiled at his trainer.
"It's not over yet. Nate has two left to use," Riku said. Nate called back his Magnezone.
"Rest up, Magnezone. You have earned it," Nate said. He took out his Arcanine's Pokéball and threw it. "You're going back in, Arcanine!" His Arcanine came back out to battle.
"And Nate sends Arcanine back out to battle!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"He's sending fire doggy back out?" Yona asked.
"Nate must want to finish this fast," Naminé said.
"Lucario! Use Aura Sphere!" Cameron ordered. Lucario fired Aura Sphere right at the legendary Pokémon.
"Arcanine! Use Flamethrower!" Nate ordered. Arcanine fired Flamethrower right at Aura Sphere, resulting in an explosion between the two.
"Use Force Palm!" Cameron ordered.
"Use Flame Wheel!" Nate ordered. Arcanine rolls into a ball of fire as Lucario started to run towards Arcanine with Force Palm. Lucario was struck by Arcanine's Flame Wheel before he could land a hit onto Arcanine. "Use Flamethrower!" Arcanine fired Flamethrower, dealing some heavy damage. Lucario was then taken down due to his weakness to fire.
"Lucario is unable to battle! Arcanine wins! The winner is Nate!" The referee announced.
"And Nate is our final trainer to make to the next round! And if you look up at the big screen, you shall see the matchups for tomorrow's battles!" Freddy O'Martian announced as the matchups are being made. It shows Sora is battling Virgil as his first opponent in the full battles. "And here you have it! The tournament will proceed first thing in the morning! Until then, that will be all!"
That night, Cameron was sitting by himself as he groaned.
"Man, I can't believe I lost!" Cameron groaned.
"You okay?" Sora asked. Cameron looked up to see Sora, Kairi, Karen, Pikachu, Angel, and Blossom showing up. "You're not upset that you lost to Nate, right?"
"Hey, Sora. And maybe I am, a little," Cameron said. "I was so close, I could taste it."
"You did your best, Cameron," Karen said.
"Chu," Blossom said.
"She's right, Cameron. You shouldn't let it get you down," Kairi said.
"Vee," Angel said.
"You're right. I'll just try again next year," Cameron said. He looked right at Sora. "Say, Sora, any idea what's your plan to take out Virgil and Team Eevee?"
"I know it's not going to be easy, but I'll have to think of something," Sora said. "Anyway, since you lost, what was going to be your secret weapon?" Sora asked.
"I'll show you," Cameron said. They all stepped outside as he lets out six of his Pokémon. He also had a Watchog, a Swanna, and a Hydreigon. "My Hydreigon was going to be my secret weapon. What do you think?"
"I would say that's a good secret weapon," Sora said.
"You think so? I was going to use it against you if we were matched up, hoping for a quick win," Cameron said.
"And there's a reason they're called secret weapons," Sora said.
"You were the one who suggested on seeing him, Sora," Kairi said. Sora chuckled.
"Okay, you got me there, Kairi," Sora said.
"Chu," Pikachu said.
Later that night, Sora thought about which ones of his Pokémon to use. He exchanged his entire team for Simisage, Simisear, Simipour, Excadrill, and Zoroark.
"Okay, I have made my picks. Just gotta make them count," Sora said in his thoughts. He climbed into bed and fell asleep as soon as his head hits his pillow.
Over to Virgil, he decided to go with Eevee, Vaporeon, Flareon, Jolteon, Leafeon, and Glaceon for his battle against Sora.
"I know Sora is going to be challenging. Just gotta play my cards right when going against him," Virgil said. He climbed into bed and fell right to sleep.
On the very next morning after having a hearty breakfast, all of the remaining trainers made it to the battlefield to resume the Unova Pokémon League. Fireworks goes off as Freddy O'Martian took his place to announce the play-by-play.
"Ladies and gentlemen, we are in for a real treat! We are closer than ever to decide the Champion of the Unova Pokémon League, so we shall see our competitors give it all they've got in this intense tournament! And now we shall begin the first match!" Freddy O'Martian announced. Hilbert, Nate, and Cheren had won their battles. Other battles came and went as it was now time for Sora and Virgil's battle. "And now, we are ready for our next battle! We have the Pokémon League Champion of the Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh regions, against a member of the Pokémon Rescue Squad, and head of Team Eevee, Virgil!" Back at Virgil's house, his father and brother are watching on TV as the youngest member was about to get started to battle.
"Go get him, little brother," Davy said.
"As a reminder, trainers are allowed to use six Pokémon each, and substitutions are allowed, and the battle is over when all six are unable to continue battling! Now, let's begin!" Freddy O'Martian announced. Virgil took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"You're in first, Jolteon!" Virgil called out. Jolteon came on out to battle.
"Jolteon! I have just the Pokémon for the job!" Sora said, taking out a Pokéball and threw it. "Go right in, Excadrill!" His Pokéball opens up as Excadrill came in subterrane form and then spreads his claws upon entry.
"Virgil has chosen Jolteon as Sora has chosen Excadrill!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Yes. A Ground Type Pokémon like Excadrill is a good matchup to use against Jolteon," Ventus said.
"That's true. If that Jolteon knows Double Kick, then it'll be a different story," Riku said.
"Vee," Eevee said.
"Jolteon! Double Kick!" Virgil ordered. Jolteon came right at Excadrill with Double Kick.
"Dig!" Sora ordered. Excadrill turned into his subterrene form and dug to dodge Jolteon's Double Kick.
"Excadrill makes a good dodge with that Dig! An attack from underneath is imminent!" Freddy O'Martian announced. And he was right because Excadrill came right out and attacked. Jolteon manages to dodge. Virgil called back Jolteon. "Virgil is making a switch in Pokémon!" Virgil takes out another Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Flareon!" Virgil called out. Flareon came out with an ember huff.
"And Pokémon number two is Flareon, another evolved form of Eevee!" Freddy O'Martian announced. "It looks like Virgil has gained the advantage in Type this time!"
"Switching Jolteon with Flareon was a smart move on Virgil's part," Riku said.
"It sure was," Cilan agreed. "Since Excadrill is a Steel Type, Fire Type moves will be a huge problem for Excadrill."
"Use Flamethrower!" Virgil ordered. Flareon fired Flamethrower right at the mole-like Pokémon.
"Dig!" Sora ordered. Excadrill dug into the earth to avoid Flamethrower. Excadrill then came out of the ground behind Flareon. "Use Drill Run!"
"Behind you!" Virgil called out. Excadrill attacked with Drill Run, but Flareon manages to dodge just by jumping out of the way.
"That was a close call for Flareon, dodging at the last minute before Excadrill could land a hit with Drill Run!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Drill Run again!" Sora ordered.
"Double Team!" Virgil ordered. Flareon made copies of himself as Excadrill struck a duplicate instead. "Use Fire Blast!" Flareon and the copies all fired Fire Blast quickly before Sora could tell Excadrill to dodge. Excadrill was was engulfed in flames.
"Fire Blast is making good work of Excadrill's weakness to fire! It looks like it's all over for Excadrill!" Freddy O'Martian announced. Excadrill was covered in burn marks, and he fell on his back beaten.
"Excadrill is unable to battle! Flareon wins!" The referee announced.
"Virgil takes an early lead in the battle as Flareon takes down Excadrill!" Freddy O'Martian announced as Sora called back Excadrill.
"Rest up, Excadrill. You definitely earned it," Sora said. He took out another Pokéball and threw it. "Go! Simipour!" His Pokéball opened up with Simipour emerging from inside.
"Sora's second Pokémon is his Simipour, a Water Type Pokémon! Will Virgil be sticking with Flareon, or will he make a switch?" Freddy O'Martian asked. Virgil calls Flareon back. "Virgil is making another switch in Pokémon!" He took out another Pokéball and threw it.
"Your turn now, Leafeon!" He threw it, letting out Leafeon.
"Virgil's third Pokémon is his Leafeon, a Grass Type Pokémon, and another evolved form of Eevee!" FreddyO'Martian announced.
"How many forms does one little Pokémon have?!" Smolder asked.
"Leafeon! Use Leaf Blade!" Virgil ordered. Leafeon came right at Simipour with Leaf Blade.
"Dodge and use Ice Punch!" Sora ordered. Simipour lands an Ice Punch on the mark. Sora then switches Simipour and took out another Pokéball. "Go! Simisear!" Sora threw it as Simisear came right out.
"Sora has gained the edge with Simisear!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Simisear! Use Flame Burst!" Sora ordered. Simisear unleashed Flame Burst and it heads right towards Leafeon.
"Dodge it!" Virgil called out. Leafeon tried to dodge, but the flame attack came too fast for Leafon to dodge. Leafeon had taken some heavy damage. Virgil calls Leafeon back and took out another Pokéball and threw it. "Your turn now, Vaporeon!" His Vaporeon emerged from inside the Pokéball.
"Virgil calls back Leafeon, and sends out Vaporeon in its place! Talking about a real save!" Freddy O'Martian announced. Sora called back Simisear and took out his next Pokéball and threw it. "Now, it's Sora's turn to switch out! He isn't taking any chances with Virgil!"
"Go! Simisage!" Sora called out. Simisage came out, ready to go.
"And now Sora has sent out Simisage!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Simisage! Use Vine Whip!" Sora ordered. Simisage sends out Vine Whip
"Dodge and use Aurora Beam!" Virgil ordered. Vaporeon dodges Vine Whip and lands a hit with Aurora Beam. "Now use Shadow Ball!"
"Dodge and use Seed Bomb!" Sora ordered. Simisage dodged and fired Seed Bomb, landing a hit onto Vaporeon. "Use Energy Ball!" Simisage fired Energy Ball and it struck Vaporeon on the spot!
"Simisage is really giving it to Vaporeon now! Even with Aurora Beam on its side, it's still taking damage!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Aurora Beam again!" Virgil ordered. Vaporeon fired Aurora Beam right at Simisage.
"Dodge and use Solar Beam!" Sora ordered. Simisage starts to build up solar energy in his tuft.
"Simisage is preparing to unleash a Solar Beam!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"We gotta end this before it happens! Aurora Beam again!" Virgil ordered. Vaporeon fired Aurora Beam.
"Dodge and fire it now!" Sora ordered. Simisage fired Solar Beam and lands a hit, resulting in heavy damage. Vaporeon had been taken down.
"Vaporeon is unable to battle! Simisage wins!" The referee announced.
"Sora has finally taken down one of Virgil's Pokémon!" Freddy O'Martian announced. Virgil calls back Vaporeon and looked at his Pokéball.
"Rest, Vaporeon. You derve it," Virgil said, taking out Flareon's Pokéball and threw it. "Go! Flareon!" His Flareon came back out, ready to go.
"Flareon is sent back out to battle! After that battle Vaporeon had with Simisage, he is not taking any chances!" Freddy O'Martian announced. Sora called back Simisage and took out Simipour's Pokéball.
"Simipour! Back to action!" Sora called out. Simipour came back out.
"Sora sends Simipour back to play!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Simipour! Use Aqua Tail!" Sora ordered. Simipour swung his tail while it was emitting water.
"Dodge and use Double Team!" Virgil ordered. Flareon made several copies of himself, much to Simipour's dismay.
"Simipour! Fire Hydro Pump on all of them!" Sora ordered. Simipour fired Hydro Pump, taking out the copies, eventually hitting the real one, dealing some damage.
"The real Flareon had been flushed right out!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Okay, Simipour! Use Water Pulse!" Sora ordered. Simipour hurls a Water Pulse right at Flareon, dealing some damage. Flareon had been taken down.
"Flareon is unable to battle! Simipour wins!" The referee announced.
"Virgil has lost his Flareon as Sora is now five to four on the scoreboard!" Freddy O'Martian announced. Virgil calls back Flareon and took out another Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Leafeon!" Virgil called out. Leafeon is sent back out.
"Leafeon is sent back to battle! Will Sora be sticking with Simipour, or will he make a switch in Pokémon?" Freddy O'Martian asked. Sora calls back Simipour and took out Simisear's Pokéball and threw it.
"Simisear! Back to action!" Sora called out. Simisear came on out to battle against Leafeon.
"Simisear is sent back out as well!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Sand-Attack!" Virgil ordered. Leafeon kicked some sand into Simisear's eyes.
"Uh-oh! Simisear's accuracy has gone down! Now Simisear can't see a thing!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Use Razor Leaf!" Virgil ordered. Leafeon unleashed Razor Leaf and overwhelmed Simisear. Virgil calls back Leafeon and looked at Eevee. "You're up, Eevee!"
"Eevee!" Eevee said, entering the battlefield in place of Leafeon.
"Virgil has sent out his Eevee to contend with Simisear!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Use Trump Card!" Virgil ordered. Eevee jumped and threw some cards at Simisear, dealing some damage. "Now use Dig!" Eevee dug into the earth. Eevee then came out and lands a heavy-blowing hit onto Simisear, resulting in a knockout.
"Simisear is unable to battle! Eevee wins!" The referee announced.
"Eevee takes out Simisear! Could be Virgil be making a comeback?!" Freddy O'Martian exclaimed. Sora calls Simisear back.
"You did your best, Simisear. Get some rest," Sora said. He took out his next Pokéball and threw it. His Pokéball opened up. Virgil was confused in seeing Pikachu suddenly appearing on the battlefield when he's looking at the Pikachu at his side.
"Sora's next Pokémon is his Pikachu! Talking about an entrance!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"How could that be Pikachu out there battling when he's right with Sora?" Applejack asked.
"That's not Pikachu," Kairi said. The orange earth pony looked at her.
"What in tarnation are you talking about? Of course that's Pikachu! Ya'll can't tell me that there ain't two Pikachu out there!" Applejack said.
"She's right. It's not Pikachu. It's Zoroark. Zoroark is using an ability called Illusion. Zoroark takes the image of one of its allies on the team," Cilan said.
"Sora never said he had two Pikachu. Thinking you can throw me off, huh? Think again! Eevee! Quick Attack!" Virgil ordered. Eevee ran to land a hit on "Pikachu" when Sora grinned.
"Dodge and use Night Daze!" Sora ordered. "Pikachu's" glow red and he raises his front two paws into the air. His body then becomes surrounded in a crimson aura. "Pikachu" then brings his paws down to the ground and a pink and crimson forcefield of energy appears around "Pikachu's" body and expands outwards throughout the whole battlefield. Virgil was very surprised for a moment until he caught on.
"Wait a minute! That's not Pikachu! There are two Pokémon I know that uses Night Daze. That's either a Zoura or a Zoroark," Virgil said. "Eevee! Trump Card!" Eevee unleashed Trump Card. The cards struck "Pikachu", revealing to be Zoroark. The crowd were suddenly surprised by what they were seeing.
"I don't believe it, ladies and gentlemen! Pikachu was actually Zoroark in disguise! And now the illusion has been shattered! I was completely fooled!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"I knew it had to be a Zoroark!" Virgil said.
"Zoroark! Use Night Slash!" Sora ordered. Zoroark came at Eevee with Night Slash, but she dodges with her speed. "Eevee's moving too fast for Zoroark to keep up.
"Eevee! Use Iron Tail!" Virgil ordered. Eevee slamed her tail right onto Zoroark, dealing some damage. "Great, now come on back!" Eevee returned to Virgil's side. He took out his next Pokéball and threw it. "Go! Glaceon!" Glaceon came on out to battle.
"And Virgil's Pokémon number six is Glaceon! Just when things were warming up, things are going to cool up!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Use Ice Beam!" Virgil ordered. Glaceon fired Ice Beam, freezing Zoroark on the mark.
"Zoroark's frozen solid!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Use Blizzard!" Virgil ordered. Glaceon unleahsed Blizzard and it sends Zoroark back, shattering the ice. Zoroark had been taken down.
"Zoroark is unable to battle! Glaceon wins!" The referee announced.
"Virgil's making a comeback afterall! Just when Sora had in a corner, Virgil pushes right back! This could be his battle after all!" Freddy O'Martian announced. Sora called back Zoroark and took out Simipour's Pokéball and threw it.
"Simipour! Back to action!" Sora called out. Simipour came out to battle.
"Simipour is being sent back right out for action!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Leafeon! Use Leaf Blade!" Virgil ordered.
"Simipour! Ice Punch!" Sora ordered.
Simipour and Leafeon came at each other and land a hit onto each other. Simipour and Leafeon fell on the ground, beaten.
"Leafeon and Simipour are both unable to battle! This round is a draw!" The referee announced.
"Both have lost a Pokémon, and both earned a double knockout!" Freddy O'Martian announced as Sora and Virgil call back their fallen Pokémon. Virgil took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Jolteon!" Virgil called out. Jolteon reentered the battle.
"And Jolteon is sent back out to battle!" Freddy O'Martian announced. Sora took out Simisage's Pokéball and threw it.
"Simisage! Back to action!" Sora called out. Simisage came back out to battle.
"Simisage also comes back out to battle! Jolteon's Electric Type moves won't do much damage on Simisage!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Jolteon! Pin Missle!" Virgil ordered. Jolteon fired Pin Missle right at Simisage.
"Dodge and use Seed Bomb!" Sora ordered. Simisage dodged Jolteon's Pin Missle and fired Seed Bomb at Jolteon.
"Dodge!" Virgil ordered. Jolteon dodged Simisage's Seed Bomb.
"Keep it up, Simisage!" Sora called out. Simisage kept firing his Seed Bomb. The lightning Pokémon kept dodging as the thorn monkey Pokémon kept firing Seed Bomb until Simisage has landed a hit
"Simisage has finally lands a hit onto Jolteon!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Use Vine Whip!" Sora ordered. Simisage sends Vine Whip right at Jolteon and wrapped the vines around Jolteon. Simisage slams Jolteon down on the ground.
"Simisage has Jolteon in a real bind with that Vine Whip!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Jolteon! Use Thunderbolt!" Virgil ordered. Simisage is shocked by Thunderbolt, forcing him to let go. "Pin Missle!" Jolteon fired Pin Missle right at Simisage, dealing some heavy damage.
"This isn't good. Excadrill is the only one who can resist Jolteon's electricity, but he's been taken down. Also, Simisear would stand a much better chance if his Eevee didn't take him down, too," Sora said in his thoughts.
"Sora is putting a much better fight than earlier. I have to remember what I'm fighting for," Virgil said in his thoughts.
"Simisage! Use Solar Beam!" Sora ordered. Simisage began to build up solar energy in his tuft.
"Simisage is getting ready to fire a Solar Beam! Sora is putting everything on the line with that move!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Jolteon! Pin Missle!" Virgil ordered. Jolteon fired Pin Missle right at the thorn monkey Pokémon. Simisage takes a lot of damage from Jolteon's Pin Missle.
"Let it out now!" Sora ordered. Simisage fired Solar Beam right at Jolteon, catching Jolteon in the blast. The lightning Pokémon struck the wall.
"Jolteon!" Virgil cried.
"And Simiage unleashed a bright and shiny Solar Beam! Is it enough to take it down?!" Freddy O'Martian exclaimed. Jolteon was down for the count.
"Jolteon is unable to battle! Simisage wins!" The referee announced.
"And now Sora and Virgil are down to two Pokémon each! This might go either way judging how this match is going!" Freddy O'Martian announced. Simisage is panting greatly. Sora knew Simisage was very exhausted.
"Simisage, you put up a good fight, but you're tired. You should rest up," Sora said, taking out his Pokéball. Simisage refused and shook his head. "You still wanna keep going?" Simisage nodded. "I appreciate you wanna keep on fighting, but you can barely even stand. He has a Glaceon, and I'll be honest, you don't do so well in the cold." Simisage didn't care as long as he could on fighting. Sora could see Simisage wasn't going to change his mind, so Sora had to let Simisage keep going. "If you wanna stay in this, then okay! Go for it!" Simisage stood his ground. Virgil took out Glaceon's Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Glaceon!" Virgil called out. Glaceon came on out to battle against Glaceon.
"Glaceon is sent back out to battle! Simisage may not last any longer out there! Could he be planning something?" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Glaceon! Icy Wind!" Virgil ordered.
"Simisage! Dodge and use Vine Whip!" Sora ordered. Simisage dodges and sends Vine Whip to whip Glaceon. Glaceon was struck by the vine attack.
"Oh, I've felt that from here! That Vine Whip had to be pretty brutal!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Glaceon! Blizzard!" Virgil ordered. Glaceon fired Blizzard right at Simisage.
"Dodge and use Seed Bomb!" Sora ordered. Simisage dodged again and fired Seed Bomb right at Glaceon.
"Dodge!" Virgil called out. Glaceon dodged Simisage's Seed Bomb with his great speed.
"It looks like they're not taking any chances with each other! Whenever one of them launches an attack, the other just dodges like a Joltik on a hot brick!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Let's end this! Ice Beam!" Virgil ordered. Glaceon fired Ice Beam right at Simisage.
"Energy Ball!" Sora ordered. Simisage fired Energy Ball right at Glaceon's Ice Beam, resulting in an explosion. Both Pokémon took heavy damage as they lay on the battlefield. Simisage and Glaceon were both knocked out.
"Simisage and Glaceon are both unable to battle! This round is a draw!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Both have lost a Pokémon, and both are down to one left! This could be anyone's battle now!" Freddy O'Martian announced. Sora and Virgil looked at their partners and they both entered the battlefield, ready to go. "Virgil is sending Eevee back out as Sora is sending out his Pikachu; the real Pikachu this time!"
"This is it. Only one of them is pressing on," Riku said.
"Vee," Riku's Eevee said.
"Eevee," Angel said. Angel felt a little conflicted about seeing Pikachu battling another Eevee, but she had to have faith in him, because she loved Pikachu too much to let difference in species to get in the way.
"Quick Attack!" Sora and Virgil ordered. Pikachu and Eevee ran towards each other with Quick Attack. Both rammed into each other. They were equally matched in speed.
"Pikachu and Eevee are matching speed and strength! How will this end for one of them? That's what we're here to find out!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Iron Tail!" Sora and Virgil ordered. Both Pikachu and Eevee clashed their tails at one another and held on. They were both equally matched in power as well.
"Pikachu! Use Thunderbolt!" Sora ordered. Pikachu unleashed Thunderbolt right at the evolution Pokémon.
"Dodge and use Trump Card!" Virgil ordered. Eevee dodge and unleashed Trump Card right at Pikachu.
"Dodge and use Electro Web!" Sora ordered. Pikachu dodged and unleashed Electro Web.
"Dig!" Virgil ordered. Eevee dug in the ground to dodge Pikachu's Electro Web.
"Eevee uses Dig to dodge Pikachu's attack! Pikachu better be ready for an attack from underneath!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"In that hole!" Sora called out. Pikachu went right for the hole. Virgil was shocked to see Pikachu going for the hole.
"Pikachu is going after Eevee underground?! What is he up to?!" Freddy O'Martian exclaimed. Everyone was silent as electricity erupted from the ground, forcing Eevee out. She lands on her back as Pikachu came right out. "Pikachu must have shocked Eevee out of the hole! That must have been planning that in advance!" Virgil was very impressed.
"That was a great technique. I wouldn't have thought of that," Virgil said. Eevee gets back up and looked right at Pikachu with a smile.
"Eevee! Use Trump Card!" Virgil ordered.
"Dodge and use Thunderbolt! Full power!" Sora ordered.
Eevee unleashed Trump Card, so Pikachu managed to dodge and unleashed a powerful Thunderbolt, giving loads of damage to Eevee. Eevee was now paralyzed from the electric attack.
"Use Quick Attack!" Virgil ordered. Eevee tried to use Quick Attack, but she was too paralyzed to do so. "Oh no!"
"That last Thunderbolt must have paralyzed Eevee! This isn't looking good for Virgil!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Quick Attack!" Sora ordered. Pikachu dashed right at Eevee, dealing some damage. Eevee tumbles backwards. Eevee struggles to stand, but she didn't have enough strength to keep going, so she fell to the ground, beaten.
"Eevee is unable to battle! Pikachu wins! The winner is Sora!" The referee announced.
"Sora makes it to the semi-finals! He now made the top eight!" Freddy O'Martian announced. Virgil walked up to Eevee and picked her up.
"You did your best, Eevee. You were great," Virgil said kindly. Eevee affectionately licked his chin. Virgil shook Sora's hand. "Congratulations, Sora. You were the one of the toughest I have ever battled," Virgil said.
"Thanks, Virgil. The same goes to you. You gave me a real run for my money," Sora said. Both shook hands.
Now that Sora has made top eight of the Unova Pokémon League, it's only a matter of who will be progressing forward. Sora respected Virgil greatly after their battle, but the next battles will be just as intense. Stay tuned.
