"Xiao Jing," Cao Li Yang's voice roused her from her thoughts. She looked over to him and gave a smile. "Teacher Cao?" His face showed some excitement, he must have seen a spirit beast best suited for her. He inclined his head in front of them for the moment. "We've scored a perfect catch for you," He pointed towards a small pink rabbit. They had been learning about several spirit beasts and spirit abilities throughout the whole trip, so all of them could easily identify this spirit beast at a moment's glance. "Soft Boned Rabbit?" Zu Que asked. "Teacher Cao, you can't be serious? Although its age seems to be almost 1,000, the age we're looking for, but from what you taught us, this spirit beast shouldn't be quite useful for Jing Hua's spirit."

"Every point you said is right, except one," Cao Li Yang said. "That's not a Soft Boned Rabbit."

"Ah?"

"There are several rare spirit beasts and one of them is called the Jiao Lizard. It is a special spirit beast whose most notable ability is called Transformation. It allows it to change its body shape. If you look closer, you will see that several details are not one of the soft-boned demon rabbits. Although it can change its body shape, colours, and aura cannot be concealed. A good control spirit master can adjust in different situations. That's also why several plant-based spirit masters with vine-like spirits choose to go in the control system route. Vines and such are good for constricting opponents, a great attribute for control system spirit masters."

"Teacher, does this mean all of Jing Hua's spirit rings are going to be from this Jiao Lizard?" Bai Shu asked. "But if it's so rare, won't it be difficult to find?"

"Remember difficult doesn't mean impossible. As for her spirit rings, the Jiao Lizard should only be necessary for one, maximum 2, but we'll see." The process had changed from Cao Li Yang releasing pressure, and one of them attacking the spirit beast until another could kill it into the children planning everything. In this scenario, they choose to take the chance and make a sneak attack. Gu Yan Ling started first, two yellow spirit rings glowing. She leapt forward, managing to reach the Jiao Lizard in a matter of a few seconds, her presence almost undetectable at her speed. In her hand had appeared a transparent medium-sized dagger that glowed a light yellow, her second ability: Blade. Her second spirit ability allowed her to create a sharp dagger that could penetrate through solid rock.

She swiped forward the blade aimed at the Jiao Lizard's abdomen, unexpectedly, its body quickly changed allowing the blade to completely pass through. Two hands appeared from the Jiao Lizard grabbing Gu Yan Ling quickly and flinging her to the side. Immediately, Qi Long, Bai Shu, and Zu Que acted, three separate abilities firing. They each had a similar cannon-like ability to one another, though the aspects and effects were all different. Even though there were three separate beams firing towards it, the Jiao Lizard continued to dodge, its body adjusted so that there was a hole that perfectly allowed the beam to pass through, its head flattened itself and its legs thinned. No longer having its earlier bunny-like appearance, one wouldn't know what to call it. It seemed almost impossible to catch it. However, everything would naturally have flaws. To the side, Lan Jing Hua quickly grabbed one of its legs, pulling it down. If it didn't have one part of its body helping keeping balance then dodging would be useless in this scenario. Pulling it down caused it to be exposed to the cannons, but before they could hit, Lan Jing Hua quickly stabbed it where she determined its heart to be.

Cao Li Yang nodded approvingly from the side, coming up to them once the spirit beast had died. "We'll have to work on the teamwork aspect later, but for now it's passable. Other than having incredible transformation skills along with an incredible cultivation speed, Jiao Lizards don't have many other abilities. Xiao Jing, go ahead and absorb its spirit ring. The age is slightly older than 900 though," He had an uncertain expression on his face. "Xiao Jing, do you want to try choosing another-"

"No, Teacher Cao," She insisted. "You said it yourself, this is a very rare spirit beast. There might not even be another one with an age as suitable as this, I will absorb it,"

Cao Li Yang exhaled slowly before nodding his head. If it were any other children, they'd most likely burst after absorbing beyond the limit, but he knew the 7 he was fostering were special. Perhaps she could really withstand it. Seeing the burning determination in her eyes, he nodded. "Be careful, take your time, this process might be lengthy,"

Lan Jing Hua nodded, and sat down cross-legged, her back straight as a board. She performed the hands actions the others all had done, and focused her mind on her spirit, allowing a small crystal flower to appear in her hand. She started to draw the spirit ring to herself with her own spirit power. Suddenly there was an immense amount of pressure, so much so that her bones felt as if they made creaking noise as if it were the beds back at Little Village Academy. That yellow spirit ring flew to the crystal floating enchantingly around it. It felt as if there was a sudden burning feeling in her right hand, but it soon disappeared quickly, instead it was only warm. A sensation like she was undergoing a small fever filled her whole body. Must keep consciousness. She thought to herself, gritting her teeth slightly. Soon the heat increased again, going back to that burning current that was spreading throughout her body. It kept alternating between warm and burning hot, and just when Lan Jing Hua thought she had reached the maximum, the heat all disappeared. She opened her eyes. She was unsure of how long it had taken as only the temperature of her body and the task at hand had been on her mind.

"Xiao Jing!" Their relieved voices filled her ears as she slowly got up. "I'm up," She said with a smile before quickly scanning the group, noticing Ning Tian Cheng seated nearby, a yellow ring floating around him. Noticing her expression, Qi Long was the first to speak. "He managed to kill a nearby spirit beast, he's absorbing it now. It shouldn't be too long,"

After a few more minutes, Ning Tian Cheng finished absorbing. He smiled, giving a look to Gu Yan Ling. "A speed boost for this spirit ability," He turned to Lan Jing Hua next. "You're awake, that's good. Did you share your spirit ability without me?"

"Of course not!" Lan Jing Hua said before extending her right hand. Floating above her palm was an elegant crystal flower along with a yellow spirit ring appearing around it. "First ability is called Created Transformation. From my spirit, I adjust it into any item. Although more complex things such as machines and such are exempt from this,"

"So," Bai Shu gave a few eccentric movements. "Does that mean you can create swords or food?"

"I can't make living things nor anything edible, and even now I'm constrained to only 30 items maximum. Depending on how complex the item is or the size of it, even less."

"Jiao Lizards are very rare creatures, this ability should develop after the addition of each spirit ring. However, we should be able to find another one for your third spirit ring,"

"My third?" Lan Jing Hua asked. "What is your plan, Teacher Cao?"

"The Jiao Lizard can create items with its body, such as shifting its arm into an axe and such, only it never got the chance to do so with such powers attacking only a 100-year spirit beast. However, it also has another component to its skill, which is that it can also manipulate aspects such as density and weight. Spirit rings will not always give all the spirit beast's abilities. However this other component of adjustment is quite useful, it's more likely to appear in your third spirit ability though. By that time, the age should be old enough, and the probability will be stronger. Do you have any ideas for your second?" He had asked this question to each of them at one point, and Lan Jing Hua had already been thinking about it after getting her first spirit ability.

She gave a nod of her head. "I gave it a lot of thought. I want to try catching a Rainbow Ginseng," A Rainbow Ginseng was a plant-type spirit beast that Dan Guo had also killed for a spirit ability. It had strong healing capabilities but was nastily hard to find. She was quite certain it could give her the ability that she desired. Although she still had doubts, she believed that her idea was the best way to go.

Hi! Another update! For this one, I've been thinking about each of their spirit abilities. If any of you watched the King's Avatar Donghua, Lan Jing Hua's next ability was inspired by how Ye Xiu has those little heals. It's not much, but it really can be funny!
