Episode 510: Unova Final Battle
A few minutes came after losing to Sora, Nate checked his Pokémon in the Pokémon Center to be healed same as Sora. He sat by himself as Rosa came in and walked up to him.
"Hi, Nate," Rosa said. Nate turned to Rosa walking up to him. "I'm sorry that you didn't win."
"Were you watching the whole thing?" Nate asked.
"From the start and to the finish. I was rooting for you the whole time," Rosa said.
"Thanks, that means a lot. I mean it, it does," Nate said. "And sorry if this is late, but sorry if you didn't win the Grand Festival a while back."
"Why are you apologizing to me about it right now?" Rosa asked.
"I didn't want to rub salt on the wounds. I thought you were going to win it, but you didn't," Nate said. This bit of news surprised Rosa.
"Were you watching me at the Grand Festival?" Rosa asked.
"Just on TV after I left. I was worried that you would take your frustration out on me, and tell me that your best wasn't good enough after I told you that you did your best," Nate said.
"No, Nate, you have it all wrong. I would never say that," Rosa said. "Besides, you did your best against Sora. I could see why he won the Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh Pokémon Leagues. But he doesn't to be the kind of person who would let those go to his head; especially when Team Plasma nearly succeeded in their plan." Rosa sighed.
"He's the kind of person who would put everyone else before him, just like his girlfriend and his Pokémon," Nate said.
"There is a reason I came by, Nate," Rosa said. Nate looked at her.
"What?" Nate asked with curiosity.
"There was something I always wanted to tell you, but I never had the nerve to say," Rosa admitted. She took a big gulp and sighed. "What I wanted to say is I love you." Nate was surprised by the sudden confession.
"You love me?" Nate asked, surprised.
"Yes," Rosa answered. "I have been in love with you ever since we were little." Nate smiled a little.
"The thing is, I had a crush on you since we were little, too," Nate said. Rosa started blushing. "I saw you when we were little kids and I couldn't believe how cute you were. You were the first real friend I have ever had in my life."
"I felt the same way," Rosa said. "I was wondering, maybe, if you're not doing anything after we get back to Aspertia City, you would like to go on a date sometime?" Nate laughed a bit. "What?"
"I think I was supposed to ask you that," Nate pointed out. He stopped laughing. "But I would like to, Rosa." Nate and Rosa moved in and gave each other a kiss on the lips, unaware that Sora and Kairi were watching them from a distance. They both smiled at the newly formed couple.
"You called it, Kairi. They're quite a pair," Sora said.
"Well, it was obvious between Brenden and May, and the same between Lucas and Dawn, so it was a matter of time before those two got together," Kairi said. "Cadance would agree if she was here with us."
"She sure would," Sora said.
"What'll be your plan against Hilbert, Sora?" Kairi asked.
"Okay, here it is," Sora said. He whispered his strategy in her ear. She knew he has an ace up his sleeve. Kairi gave off a giggle.
Over to Hilbert, he had his team all ready as Hilda came up from behind him. He turned to see her.
"Hilda, hey," Hilbert said.
"Just wanna wish you luck in your upcoming battle, Hilbert," Hilda said. Hilbert smiled.
"Thanks," Hilbert said. He took her by the hand. She blushed deeply. He also blushed very deeply.
Two hours have passed, and the time for the final battle of the Unova Pokémon League is about to begin. By then, Sora has exchanged his entire team for Serperior, Emboar, Samurott, Scrafty, and Bisharp.
"This is it, Pikachu. We came this far once again," Sora said.
"Pika," Pikachu said.
"Let's go out there, and give it everything we've got," Sora said.
"Chu," Pikachu said. He spotted Hilbert walking towards him. He stopped in front of him.
"Hilbert, may the best trainer win," Sora said.
"Likewise, Sora," Hilbert said. "I'm not going to take it easy on you just because we're friends."
"I wouldn't want you to, Hilbert," Sora said. He and Hilbert shook hands, promising each other a good battle.
Fireworks go off as the final battle was about to start. All over Unova, people were watching. Mick, Sean, and Glenn were tuned right in.
"And here we are! The match that will decide who will be the Champion of the Unova Pokémon League! Which one will it be? Will be first timer, Hilbert who came from Nuvema Town? Or will it be Sora who has won the Pokémon Leagues of the Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh regions? That's what we are here to find out, ladies and gentlemen! Both trainers are permitted to use six Pokémon each, and substitutions are allowed during the match!" Freddy O'Martian announced as Sora and Hilbert entered the battlefield, ready to go.
"Trainers, choose your Pokémon and begin!" The referee called out. Hilbert chose his first Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Durant!" Hilbert called out. Durant came right out, clamping its mandibles. Sora took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Emboar!" Sora called out. Emboar came right and snorted some flames.
"Hilbert's first Pokémon is a Durant, and Sora's first Pokémon is Emboar!" Freddy O'Martian announced. Hilbert called back his Durant. "Hilbert is making an early withdrawal! He must have realized his mistake!" Hilbert took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Samurott!" Hilbert called out. His Samurott came right out.
"Hilbert substitutes Durant for Samurott! A Water Type Pokémon!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Samurott! Start things up with Razor Shell!" Hilbert ordered. Samurott took a Seamitar and swung it around.
"Emboar! Dodge and use Power-Up Punch!" Sora ordered. Emboar lands a punch onto Samurott, increasing his attack power. "Again!" Emboar was about to land another Power-Up Punch when Samurott gave a swipe with its Seamitar. Sora then called Emboar back and looked right at his partner. "Go for it, Pikachu!" Pikachu entered the battlefield.
"Now Sora is sending out Pikachu to battle against Samurott!" Freddy O'Martian announced. Hilbert called back Samurott and took out another Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Golurk!" Hilbert called out. And out came a Golurk.
"And he sends out a Golurk to counter Pikachu!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Hilbert is sparring no expense in this match! He's matching Sora, Type by Type," Cilan said.
"When going against Sora, one little mistake is something he can't afford," Riku said.
"Every time I send one out, he makes a switch. I better make him attack me," Sora said. "Pikachu! Run around with Quick Attack!" Pikachu ran across the battlefield.
"Golurk! Use Shadow Punch!" Hilbert ordered. Golurk unleashed Shadow Punch, landing a hit onto the mouse Pokémon. "Use Earth Power!" Golurk unleashed Earth Power, landing a super-effective hit onto Pikachu.
"That was super-effective! That has got to hurt!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"That was great, Pikachu! Come on back!" Sora called out. Pikachu came back to Sora as he took out another Pokéball and threw it. "Bisharp! Sharpen your blades!" Bisharp emerged from his Pokéball, clashing his blades like swords.
"And Sora sends out Bisharp!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Bisharp is a Steel Type Pokémon, so it's fifty-fifty," Hilbert said. "Golurk! Use
Earth Power!" Golurk slammed its fist on the ground. Bisharp was struck by the Ground Type attack.
"Bisharp is feeling that from Earth Power!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Now use Shadow Punch!" Hilbert ordered. Golurk sends Shadow Punch right at sword blade Pokémon.
"Bisharp! Use Night Slash!" Sora ordered. Bisharp slashed right at Golurk's Shadow Punch.
"Bisharp sliced through that Shadow Punch like it was a watermelon!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Use Swords Dance!" Sora ordered. Bisharp points his arms forward as multiple light-blue swords circle around him. The swords stop and point towards Bisharp, end first, before disappearing. A red aura then bursts from the ground underneath him, before a lighter-colored red aura goes upwards along its body, boosting Bisharp's attack power. "Now use X-Scissor!" Bisharp came right at Golurk and lands a blow onto the automaton Pokémon. "Night Slash!" Bisharp sliced right at Golurk. Golurk was now down and out.
"Golurk is unable to battle! Bisharp wins!" The referee announced.
"Sora finally takes down one of Hilbert's Pokémon! So much for Hilbert's playing it safe strategy!" Freddy O'Martian announced. Hilbert called back Golurk.
"Sorry, Golurk, I should have seen this coming," Hilbert said. "He baited me to attack, because he knew I would go for an attack. A mistake I won't make again." He took out another Pokéball and threw it. "Go! Watchog!" His Pokéball opened and Watchog came right out.
"And Hilbert's fourth Pokémon is a Watchog! He must be hatching a plan!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"I thought Normal Type moves won't do much damage on a Steel Type like Bisharp," Twilight said.
"They don't, but he's cooking up something," Cilan said.
"I think we're about to find out what it is," Aqua said.
"Use Mean Look!" Hilbert ordered. Watchog uses Mean Look and it entraps Bisharp in the battlefield.
"Watchog starts up with a Mean Look! He doesn't want Bisharp going anywhere!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Mean Look?" Smolder asked, unphased.
"Mean Look is a move that prevents a Pokémon from going anywhere until the user leaves the battlefield for any reason," Naminé said.
"Azurill," Azurill chirped.
"It's quite useful when you're trying to catch a Pokémon in the wild," Riku said.
"Pika," Thor said.
"The way Watchog used it sure was mean," Pinkie said, giggling a bit.
"Bisharp! Use Metal Claw!" Sora ordered. Bisharp came right at Watchog with Metal Claw. Hilbert grinned.
"Detect!" Hilbert ordered. Watchog dodges by stepping aside. Bisharp misses. "Now, use Low Sweep!" Watchog gave a kick onto one of Bisharp's legs and it fell on the ground. "Now use Fire Punch!"
"Bisharp! Block it with X-Scissor!" Sora ordered. Bisharp has successfully blocked Watchog's Fire Punch with X-Scissor.
"And what a block! Those two are holding on in a no-holding back clash!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Keep it up, Watchog! Don't let up!" Hilbert said.
"Bisharp! Keep on holding!" Sora called out. Bisharp kept on holding and holding.
Not one of them was backing off. They held on until they both a standstill.
"Watchog! Fire Punch!" Hilbert ordered.
"Use Metal Claw!" Sora ordered.
Both Bisharp and Watchog came right at each other and lands a hit onto each other. Bisharp and Watchog both fell at the same time, beaten.
"Bisharp and Watchog are both unable to battle! This round is a draw!" The referee announced.
"Hilbert and Sora both lost a Pokémon right at the same time! Sora has five under his belt while Hilbert has four left!" Freddy O'Martian announced. Hilbert called Watchog back and sighed. Sora called back Bisharp.
"Okay, let's try this," Hilbert said, taking out a Pokéball and threw it. "Go! Durant!" His Durant came back out and clampped its mandibles upon entry. Sora took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Scrafty!" Sora called out. Scrafty came right out as well.
"Durant is sent back out as Sora's fourth Pokémon is Scrafty!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Durant is a Bug Type while Scrafty is a Dark Type, so it's going to be pretty difficult," Kairi said.
"Vee," Angel said.
"Durant! Use Shadow Claw!" Hilbert ordered. Durant came right Scrafty with Shadow Claw.
"Dodge and use High Jump Kick!" Sora ordered. Scrafty jumped in the air very high and came down fast. Durant was struck hard. "Use Focus Blast!" Scrafty forms Focus Blast and sends it right at the iron ant Pokémon.
"Durant! Use X-Scissor!" Hilbert ordered. Durant came towards Scrafty with X-Scissor and dealt some heavy damage. Sora called back Scrafty and took out Emboar's Pokéball and threw it. "Emboar! Back to action!" Emboar came back out to battle. "Use Flamethrower!" Emboar unleashed Flamethrower at Durant, dealing some heavy damage. Durant was taken down.
"Durant is unable to battle! Emboar wins!" The referee announced.
"Sora's Emboar finishes what could have been with that Flamethrower!" Freddy O'Martian announced. Hilbert called back Durant and took out Samurott's Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Samurott!" Hilbert called out. Samurott came back out to battle against Emboar. Sora called Emboar since he didn't want to risk him being taken out by Samurott too soon. He took out another Pokéball and threw it.
"You're up now, Serperior!" Sora called out. Serperior came right out to battle.
"Sora sends out Serperior as his next Pokémon!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Serperior! Use Attract!" Sora ordered. Serperior uses Attract right on Samurott, captivating the formidable Pokémon.
"And now Samurott has fallen in love with Serperior!" Freddy O'Martian announced. Hilbert called back Samurott and took out another Pokéball and threw it.
"You're up now, Ferrothorn!" Hilbert called out. Ferrothorn came right out, ready to battle.
"And Hilbert's fifth Pokémon is Ferrothorn, both a Grass and Steel Type Pokémon!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Serperior! Use Attract!" Sora ordered.
"Ferrothorn! Use Protect!" Hilbert ordered. Ferrothorn uses Protect to block out the hearts coming at it.
"Ferrothorn uses its Protect to block Serperior's Attract! Hilbert is thinking right out of the box!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Using Profect to block Attract was genius," Cilan said.
"It looks like Sora will have to come up with a new move, and fast," Agumon said.
"Ferrothorn! Use Pin Missle!" Hilbert ordered. Ferrothorn fired Pin Missle at Serperior, dealing some heavy damage. Sora called back Serperior and took out Emboar's Pokéball and threw it.
"Emboar! Back to action!" Sora called out. Emboar came right back out to battle. "Use Flamethrower!" Emboar unleashed right at Ferrothorn, dealing heavy damage. Ferrothorn was now taken down.
"Ferrothorn is unable to battle! Emboar wins!" The referee announced.
"And Ferrothorn is down with Flamethrower! Hilbert now has two more Pokémon left to use! Which one will come out to play? Will it be Samurott or will it be another one?" Freddy O'Martian asked. Hilbert took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Conkeldurr!" Hilbert called out. A large Conkeldurr came right out to battle.
"That Conkeldurr is slightly larger than the one I have. Also, that Conkeldurr looks strong enough," Sora said.
"Conkeldurr! Use Bulk Up, and then use High Horsepower!" Hilbert ordered. Conkeldurr came running towards Emboar with High Horsepower.
"Dodge and use Power-Up Punch!" Sora ordered. Emboar dodged and came right at Conkeldurr with Power-Up Punch. Conkeldurr dodged and grabbed Emboar by the arm.
"Boar," Emboar said.
"Emboar," Sora said.
"Conkeldurr! Use Brick Break!" Hilbert ordered. Conkeldurr gave Emboar a Brick Break on the side.
"Emboar! Use Heat Crash!" Sora ordered. Emboar jumped and came down fast to flatten Conkeldurr.
"And here comes Emboar with a Heat Crash!This will make a red hot crash!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Stand your ground!" Hilbert called out. "Use Bulk Up!" Conkeldurr flexed its muscles and endured the attack. Flames quickly surrounded Conkeldurr. The flames subsided as Conkeldurr is still standing its ground.
"Conkeldurr is just taking it! It isn't even phased by Emboar's flames!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Conkeldurr! Use High Horsepower!" Hilbert ordered. Conkeldurr came right at the mega fire pig Pokémon again with High Horsepower.
"Dodge it!" Sora called out. Conkeldurr came too fast for Emboar to dodge, so it landed some heavy damage. "Now use Brick Break!" Conkeldurr raised its arm in the air to land a hit.
"Block it!" Sora called out. Emboar blocked with his hands.
"Emboar blocked Conkeldurr's Brick Break with both of its hands!" Freddy O'Martian announced. Emboar gave Conkeldurr a hurl on the ground. Conkeldurr got back up and grabbed Emboar by the arm. "Conkeldurr is coming back with a vengeance!"
"Okay, use Brick Break again!" Hilbert ordered. Conkeldurr gave Emboar a strong Brick Break on the side.
"Conkeldurr lands another Brick Break onto Emboar, and I can tell you, I have felt that from where I sit!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Emboar! Use Power-Up Punch!" Sora ordered. Emboar moved in to deliver a Power-Up Punch.
"Block it with your pillars!" Hilbert called out. Conkeldurr successfully blocked Emboar's punch attack, but it sent the muscular Pokémon backwards. Emboar's attack power has raised up.
"Emboar raises its attack with its Power-Up Punch attack! And it sends Conkeldurr back even if it has blocked with its concrete pillars!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Conkeldurr! Move right in!" Hilbert called out. Conkeldurr charges right at Emboar with its concrete pillars. Sora remembered the battle between Bianca and Trip. Sora thought of that same trick again.
"Emboar! Take Conkeldurr's pillars!" Sora called out. Emboar took hold of Conkeldurr's pillars. Kairi remembered that trick well. Emboar successfully took Conkeldurr's pillars.
"Conkeldurr!" Hilbert gasped.
"Ladies and gentlemen, I think it's deja vu, because I think I have seen this trick before!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Send them right back!" Sora called out. Emboar threw both pillars at Conkeldurr, resulting in a knockout.
"Conkeldurr is unable to battle! Emboar wins!" The referee announced. Hilbert called back Conkeldurr.
"And Conkeldurr is down, down, down! Emboar used Conkeldurr's own pillars against it!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Wow, did you see that?" Wormmon asked.
"Emboar used Conkeldurr's own pillars against it. Bianca did the exact same thing, right?" Ventus asked.
"She sure did. And Sora used that to his advantage," Riku said.
"Now the moment we have been waiting for. It's the battle against Samurott," Terra said.
"And it's going to be bad for Emboar," Karen said. Hilbert took out Samurott's Pokéball and threw it.
"Your turn again, Samurott!" Hilbert called out. Samurott came right back out to battle.
"And here is Samurott, back out to play, and it looks like it'll be playing for keeps now!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Emboar! Power-Up Punch!" Sora ordered. Emboar came right at Samurott with Power-Up Punch.
"Dodge and use Razor Shell!" Hilbert ordered. Samurott swipes a Seamitar at Emboar, dealing some heavy damage. "Use Hydro Cannon!" Samurott fired Hydro Cannon right at the mega fire pig Pokémon, not giving enough time to dodge the attack.
"Super-effective hit!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Samurott won't be able to attack again right away after using Hydro Cannon, so move right in with Power-Up Punch!" Sora ordered. Emboar moved in to deliver a Power-Up Punch onto Samurott. Samurott is struck hard by the punch attack.
"And Emboar makes a striking comeback with that Power-Up Punch!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Samurott! One more Hydro Cannon!" Hilbert ordered. Samurott fired another Hydro Cannon, landing a super-effective hit. "Now, use Aqua Jet!" Samurott came right at Emboar and landed a hit onto him, resulting in a knockout.
"Emboar is unable to battle! Samurott wins!" The referee announced.
"And Samurott takes down Emboar with Hydro Cannon! Sora is now down to four Pokémon at his disposal! Which one will be next?" Freddy O'Martian asked he turned to Pikachu.
"You're up again, Pikachu," Sora said.
"Pika," Pikachu said, entering the battlefield.
"And it's Pikachu entering the battlefield again! Will Pikachu take down Samurott and win it for Sora, or will Pikachu meet the same fate as its comrades?" Freddy O'Martian asked.
"Pikachu! Thunderbolt!" Sora ordered. Pikachu unleashed Thunderbolt right at Samurott.
"Dodge it!" Hilbert ordered. Samurott dodged Pikachu's Thunderbolt just by moving to the right. "Okay, use Razor Shell!" Samurott came at Pikachu with Razor Shell.
"Dodge by using Quick Attack!" Sora called out. Pikachu ran to dodge, but Samurott came too fast for Pikachu to dodge, and he got hit by razor shell.
"Finish it with Slash!" Hilbert ordered. Samurott came at Pikachu and swiped his Seamitar right at Pikachu, resulting in a knockout.
"Pikachu is unable to battle! Samurott wins!" The referee announced.
"And there you have it! Pikachu was defeated in battle by a Water Type Pokémon! It looks like his Serperior is his only shot for super-effective moves!" Freddy O'Martian announced. Sora went to Pikachu's side and placed him at his side again.
"You did your best, buddy," Sora said. "Rest up."
"Pika," Pikachu said.
Sora took out Serperior's Pokéball and threw it.
"Serperior! Back to action!" Sora called out. Serperior makes her appearance on the battlefield once again.
"Just as I thought, Serperior is back, and it's ready to go! I wonder if Hilbert is prepared for Serperior's Attract!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Serperior! Leaf Blade!" Sora ordered. Serperior came right at Samurott.
"Clash it with Slash!" Hilbert ordered. Samurott swung his Seamitar again and clashed with Leaf Blade. Both held on until, Samurott overpowered her. "Use Hydro Cannon!" Samurott fired Hydro Cannon, and it was enough to take down Serperior.
"Serperior is unable to battle! Samurott wins!" The referee announced.
"And Serperior has fallen by Samurott's paws! Sora is down to two Pokémon left, so which one is next?" Freddy O'Martian asked. Sora took out Scrafty's Pokéball and threw it.
"Scrafty! Back to action!" Sora called out. Scrafty came back out to battle against Samurott.
"Sora sends Scrafty back out!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Use High Jump Kick!" Sora ordered. Scrafty jumped and came down to land a kick into Samurott.
"Dodge it!" Hilbert called out. Samurott dodged Scrafty's High Jump Kick and causes some serious damage to himself. Scrafty holds his leg as he bellows in pain.
"Poor Scrafty," Fluttershy said.
"And it's about to get even worse," Veemon said.
"Samurott! Finish Scrafty off with Aqua Jet!" Hilbert ordered. Samurott came at Scarfty with Aqua Jet, sending Scrafty frying. The hoodlum Pokémon had been taken down.
"Scrafty is unable to battle! Samurott wins!" The referee announced.
"And now it has come down to this! Both trainers are now down to their last Pokémon, and only one of them is going home with that trophy! Everything will depend on which one Sora will send out next!" Freddy O'Martian announced as Sora called back Scrafty and took out his final Pokéball and held it.
"Hilbert's come a long way. He and his Samurott has grown so much since they got started. Edgar, Ethan, Brenden, and Lucas gave it their all. They came close to beating me, and Hilbert is no exception. Win or lose, I'm going to give it my all, too!" Sora said, throwing his Pokéball. "Go! Samurott!" His Pokéball opened as his Samurott came right out to battle against Hilbert's Samurott.
"It looks like it's Samurott versus Samurott! Both of these formidable Pokémon will be giving us all what we came here to see! I am getting anxious to see which one will be victorious!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Razor Shell!" Sora and Hilbert ordered. Sora's Samurott drew out his Seamitar and came at Hilbert's Samurott. They clashed like they were in a sword fight. They clashed their Seamitars again and again. Not one of them was backing down.
"Look at this! They're going at it like they were actual samurai! It's exactly like the movies!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
Both Samurott glared at each other for a moment before they clashed again. Hilbert's Samurott jumped when Sora's Samurott tried to strike the legs. Hilbert's Samurott tried a back attack, but Sora's Samurott blocked that attack.
"This is so awesome," Spike said.
"You said it, Spike," Patamon said.
"This is even more intense than when Sora's Empoleon took on Lucas's Torterra," Ventus said.
"Yeah, but it didn't get turned into a sword fight like the one we're seeing," Terra said.
"Chu," Thor said.
"Aqua Jet!" Sora and Hilbert ordered. Both Samurott came at each other with Aqua Jet. Both Samurott started to push each other hard, not one of them was backing down. Both Samurott fell backwards. Hilbert's Samurott got up first and drew his Seamitar again. Sora's Samurott got up on his feet and did the same thing.
"Both Samurott are marching up to each other, getting ready for another round!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Slash!" Hilbert ordered.
"Use Sacred Sword!" Sora ordered.
Both Samurott clashed their Seamitars again, turning it into another sword fight. They matched each other with their speed and strength.
"Use Hydro Cannon!" Hilbert ordered. Hilbert's Samurott fired Hydro Cannon right at Sora's Samurott.
"Brace yourself!" Sora called out. Sora's Samurott drew another Seamitar and crossed the both of them to block the water attack. Sora's Samurott was pushed back by the force of the attack "Use Water Pledge!" Samurott raised both Seamitar's in the air and unleashed Water Pledge all around. Hilbert's Samurott was caught in the blast of the water attack.
"And Sora's Samurott lets out a powerful Water Pledge! Sora has taken advantage of his Samurott's inability to attack right away after using Hydro Cannon!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"Okay, let's finish this! Samurott! Use Razor Shell!" Hilbert ordered.
"You use Razor Shell, too!" Sora ordered.
Hilbert's Samurott drew another Seamitar and got ready to attack. Sora's Samurott readied himself all the same. Both formidable Pokémon stare at each other, waiting for the other to make a move. Everyone is waiting anxiously to see who will make the next move. Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Karen, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Lillie, Cilan, Iris, Eevee, Angel, Meowth, Axew, Azurill, Blossom, Sparky, Thor, Eclair, the Mane Six, Spike, Starlight, the Young Six, and the Digimon were just as anxious. They looked each other for a few more seconds. Sweat ran on both trainers as they wait for the other to make a move. A drop of sweat drips off of Sora. As soon as the drop hits the ground. Both Samurott ran towards each other and swiped their Seamitars at one another. Everyone were wondering who has won the final battle. A few seconds passed as Hilbert's Samurott fell to the ground, beaten.
"Hilbert's Samurott is unable to battle! Sora's Samurott wins! The winner of the battle, and the tournament is Sora!" The referee announced. The crowd cheered as Sora has now won five Pokémon Leagues in a row. Sora was even amazed. He smiled as he went up to his Samurott.
"And there you have it! Sora 'Kingdom Hearts' Ketchum is now Champion of the Unova Pokémon League! No trainer in history has ever won five Pokémon League tournaments until now!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
"You were awesome, Samurott. You grew up from that little Oshawott I met when I first came here to Unova. Professor Juniper would be proud of you, just like I am," Sora said. Sora's Samurott smiled as his eyes almost got all teary as he remembered their first meeting. He hugged his trainer tightly. Hilbert helped his Samurott up on his feet.
"Don't feel bad for losing. You gave it your all," Hilbert said. His Samurott smiled and hugged him the same way as Sora's Samurott. Both trainers shook hands for a well-done battle. "Congrats, Sora. You won it fair and square."
"Thanks. To be honest, I didn't care if I won or not," Sora said. "So, I should be congratulating you for that awesome battle, Hilbert." Hilbert smiled.
"Thank you, Sora," Hilbert said.
At the closing ceremonies, Sora held his newest trophy as the crowd cheered on.
"Ladies and gentlemen, we are gathered here today, to honor our lucky winner, who came all the way from the Kanto region to make it all possible, Sora Ketchum! And we hope that you all enjoyed being apart of the excitement as well as I did! And that is all we have for this year, so I close by saying to all you hopeful trainers, we hope to see you here next year!" Freddy O'Martian announced.
Now that the Unova Pokémon League has come to an end, Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Karen, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Lillie, Cilan, Iris, Pikachu, Eevee, Angel, Meowth, Axew, Azurill, Blossom, Sparky, Thor, Eclair, the Mane Six, Spike, Starlight, the Young Six, and the Digimon all make plans to head for the Alola region to introduce the rest of the Alolan nine to Karen, Iris, and Cilan. But how will the meeting of the Autobots go when they eventually reach Kanto? Just stay tuned and find out.
