Episode 514: More Than Meets the Eye Part 3
Sora, Kairi, and Karen stepped outside as Cliffjumper and Mirage are just outside in vehicle mode.
"Guys, you know anything about big bugs?" Sora asked.
"Big bugs?" Cliffjumper asked.
"The lady on the news said that they're giant robot insects. You anything about that?" Kairi asked.
"It does sound very familiar, Cliffjumper. We should inform Optimus about this," Mirage said.
"Good idea, Mirage," Cliffjumper said. "Sora, Kairi, Karen, you did the right thing, letting us know about this. You go on with your own business as usual. We'll let Optimus know about it."
"Okay," Kairi said.
Meanwhile, Megatron, along with Starscream and Soundwave arrive to the coordinates where Soundwave has made his discovery. It was in the middle of a swamp.
"And where is this Insecticon hive, Soundwave?" Starscream sarcastically asked.
"Silence!" Megatron demanded. "Soundwave, deploy Ravage to investigate." Soundwave complied by sending out a Decepticon Mini-Con that greatly resembled a black panther. Ravage sniffed the ground and led the three other Decepticons to a craft. Megatron went ahead of Starscream and Soundwave. He wiped off the moss, and it revealed to be a Decepticon insignia on the craft. "Just as I thought. This is of Decepticon origin. The Insecticon hive."
"How is it possible that we haven't noticed it until those insects began to show up?" Starscream asked.
"It appears that the tracking signal was damaged in the crash," Megatron stated.
"If we were able to detect this, I suppose that the Autobots have picked it up as well," Starscream said.
"Yes. The Autobots will not hesitate to fight the Insecticons; and we shall appear as well," Megatron said as he laughed. "Prepare a Ground Bridge, Soundwave. We must prepare our forces."
"As you command, Lord Megatron," Soundwave said. Soundwave activates the Ground Bridge and the Decepticons enters through.
Elsewhere, Nancy arrived at the cornfield and she stroked her chin.
"This is the strangest thing I have ever seen," Nancy said. The farmer came up behind her. "Is this where you saw the mechanical insects?"
"Yes, ma'am. I was doing my job and then, those giant bugs showed up. They spooked my Tauros, and us with them!" The farmer said.
Elsewhere at the latest attack location, Hiroaki and his crew arrived on the scene.
"Look at this place. It looks like a storm hit," Charlie said.
"A storm with an appetite," Yuki said.
"You don't think it might be an Ultra Beast, do you?" Jeremiah asked.
"It might be. A Bug and Steel Type might fit the bill for it," Hiroaki said. "The trail will go cold if we just sit around."
Hiroaki and his crew drove to follow the trail.
Back at Pallet Town, Cliffjumper and Mirage sent a transmission back to the Ark while in vehicle mode.
"Mirage to the Ark. Come in, Ark," Mirage said.
"Ark here. We hear you loud and clear," Blaster said.
"We got something big going on," Cliffjumper said.
"How big, Cliff?" Blaster asked.
"Sora, Kairi, and Karen said that there was a sighting of robot bugs just now," Mirage said.
"Robot bugs?" Blaster said.
"Yeah. They suspect that they might be Decepticons," Cliffjumper said. Optimus was listening in on the transmission.
"I have a grave suspicion," Optimus said. "The insects Sora, Kairi, and Karen have described could only be Insecticons." Cliffjumper and Mirage were both shocked.
"What?! Insecticons on Earth?!" Mirage exclaimed.
"First we got Dinobots, now we have Insecticons? Those bugs eats everything they see!" Cliffjumper said.
"Not only that, but the Cons might gotten a whiff of it by now," Mirage said.
"Agreed. I shall send Drift and Windblade to investigate this matter," Optimus said. "Continue your surveillance in the meantime."
"On it," Mirage said.
Back to the Ark, Optimus called for Drift and Windblade for their assignment.
"You're sending us out on a bug hunt?" Windblade asked.
"I would not do so if this matter was not of great importance. I fear Megatron may have learned of this development," Optimus said.
"We shall do as you command, Optimus," Drift said.
"Do not engage them nor the Decepticons when you encounter them," Optimus said.
"Understood," Drift said.
"We'll keep you informed if we come across anything out of the ordinary," Windblade said.
Drift and Windblade left to start their mission. Drift transformed into his helicopter mode as Windblade transformed into her jet mode. The Autobots flew to search for clues of the Insecticons.
Meanwhile, Xande, Grogar, Tirek, Chrysalis, and Cozy Glow all arrived to a cave of some sort.
"Where are we, exactly?" Tirek asked.
"Our first stop. The crystal we seek is inside this cave," Xande said.
"What are so important about some crystals?" Cozy Glow asked.
"If you must know, the crystals are tools of great power. Power that even rivals that of the Pokémon of legend," Xande stated. "For that reason, the crystals were placed in caves like this. The first crystal we seek is the Earth Crsytal. The rest of the crystals are of fire, water, wind, ice, lightning, light, and dark."
"Why would anyone want to place these crystals in a place like this?" Grogar asked.
"To prevent those who would abuse their powers. There were those who attempted, and they all failed," Xande said. "Now come. We have much to do." The villains enters the cave. The cave had Zubat, Golbat, Crobat, Woobat, and Swoobat inside, as well as Geodude, Roggenrola and Boldore.
The villains venture inside. Tirek moves a rock aside as a skeleton fell in front of them. Cozy Glow jumped in the air with a yelp.
"W-W-What is that?" Cozy Glow asked.
"The remains of one of those who attempted to search the crystal. Come," Xande said. Cozy Glow shuddered as they kept walking forward. The villains went deeper down the cave as they noticed more skeletons on the cave's floor. A pair of eyes open and glare at the invaders.
"Begone from here," a voice said.
"Who's there?" Grogar asked.
"I repeat, begone from here," the voice repeated.
"Who dares to give me orders?" Chrysalis demanded.
"One of the guardians. We must be near," Xande said.
"And this is far as you will go. Turn back," the voice said.
"We have no quarrel with you, guardian. We seek the Earth Crystal," Xande said.
"I know you seek the crystal of earth. And I know your intentions. You cannot be allowed to use it for own evil ends," the voice said.
"Whoever it is sounds like he's serious," Tirek laughed.
"This is your final warning. Leave now, or suffer the consequences," the voice said.
"If I must take the crystal by force, then so be it!" Xande said. An eerie sound is heard as wind is blown from the inside.
"You have sealed your doom!" The voice stated. The ground opened as soldiers of stone emerged from in it. "Destroy them!" The stone soldiers marched forward as Xande grinned.
"I anticipated resistance," Xande said, raising his hand. "Meteor!" Meteors come raining down, destroying the stone solders. More emerge from the earth as they marched again. Grogar, Tirek, and Chrysalis fired their magic at the stone soldiers, reducing them to rubble. Cozy Glow flew to the wizard.
"Um, I don't mean to put some unneeded pressure on you, but..." Cozy Glow paused before she blurted it out, "I could use some powers of my own, if that's not too much trouble!" Xande complied by turning Cozy Glow into an alicorn. She laughed evilly as she got her new horn again, and her wings have extended. "YES! I'm alicorn again! Yeah, baby, yeah!" She fired a red beam of magic. She laughed again as she obliterated the stone soldiers. The villains destroyed the last of the stone soldiers as a dust whirlwind whips up and forms a large figure, made of stone.
"Another pile of pebbles here to stop us?" Tirek taunted.
"Foolish creature, I am Gaia, the Gaurdian of Earth. I am one of the eight guardians to protect the crystal from the likes of you and your emperor!" Gaia said.
"You shall try," Xande said, stepping forward.
"We shall take him," Grogar said.
"No," Xande said quickly. "I shall deal with him, myself." Xande fired an ice spell from his wand as Gaia formed a shield of stone. He shatters the shield and sends it back at the evil wizard. Xande teleports behind the Gaurdian of Earth, and gave him a blast of dark magic. "Dark Firaga!" Xande sends a blast of black flames to engulf Gaia. "You call yourself a guardian? If the others are as weak as you are, then my victory is assured."
"You will not succeed!" Gaia said, merging into the cave and formed a giant made of stone. He swings his fist down, but Xande grinned.
"Stopza!" Xande shouted, freezing Gaia in time. "You cannot stop me, guardian. You have lost this fight when you have challenged me. Hell's Hallelujah!" Xande forms an orb of darkness and sends it at Gaia, shattering him. Gaia emerged from the ground, but he is badly hurt. "Your efforts are admirable, but foolish. Now die." He gave him one final blast of magic, killing him.
"So much for him," Cozy Glow said.
"He never stood a chance, now come," Xande said. The villains enters the chamber and sees a yellow crystal at the pedestal. "There it is. The Earth Crystal." He walked up to the pedestal and takes it. "We have what we came for. Staying here will serve no further purpose." He and the other villains all vanished. Xande, Grogar, Tirek, Chrysalis, and Cozy Glow all appear before Mateus.
"I trust you five have been successful," Mateus said.
"Yes, your majesty," Xande said, handing him the Earth Crystal.
"Wonderful. I doubt the Guardian of Earth was willing to part with it," Mateus said.
"He put up a resistance, but he easily fell by my hands," Xande said.
"I see," Mateus said. "You have seven more to collect."
"Um, you're not sending us back out now, are you?" Cozy Glow asked.
"Your success is proof that you are capable. For now, rest. I shall need of your assistance," Mateus said. Grogar and the villains left to rest up from the drain of their powers. Mateus grinned as he firmly held the crystal. "You have done well, my faithful servant."
"I live to serve you, my emperor," Xande said. "I shall begin my search for a second crystal, my lord."
"Good. Inform me once you have learned its location," Mateus said.
"As you wish, your majesty," Xande said, bowing his head in respect. He took his leave as Mateus grinned at the crystal in his hand.
Back in Kanto, Drift and Windblade follows the trail of the Insecticons. Drift and Windblade transformed into robot mode. Drift draws a sword.
"This is one of the areas that the bugs went by," Windblade said.
"If they are what Sora, Kairi, and Karen claimed it to be," Drift said
"Agreed. We should keep our eyes open for the Decepticons just in case we aren't the only ones looking for them like Optimus suspects," Windblade said.
The two Autobots looked around for other signs of the Insecticons. Drift held out his hand, telling Windblade to stop.
"Something is near," Drift said, tightening his grip on his sword. Windblade drew her weapon and they saw one of the Insecticons. It looked like a rhinoceros beetle. "An Insecticon."
"Optimus did make the call," Windblade said. She made contact at the Ark. "Optimus. Drift and I spotted an Insecticon."
"Do you see any others?" Optimus asked through the com.
"Negative. It looks like it's all alone," Windblade said.
Back at the Ark, Blaster and Perceptor looked at each other.
"Odd. Insecticons are never alone," Perceptor said.
"Well, this one is," Windblade said.
"I doubt it," Drift said. "There could be others closer than we think."
"The bugs aren't exactly strategists," Blaster said.
"All the same, approach with caution," Optimus said.
"Affirmative," Drift said.
They broke contact and slowly and quietly approached the Insecticon. A snap of a twig alerted the lone Insecticon and attacked the two Autobots. The Insecticon fired a blast, making Drift dodge. The Insecticon started to fly to escape.
"Any ideas?" Windblade asked.
"I will pursue from below, while you pursue from the air. That way, either one of us can chase after it in case one us us loses it," Drift said.
"Got it," Windblade said, transforming into her jet mode and flew after it. Drift transformed into his car mode and drove after the Insecticon from below.
Meanwhile, a couple of Team Shadow peons are looking out for anything out of the ordinary. He was looking through a pair of binoculars. He then saw something coming. He knew there was many coming all at once. He grinned as he spots the swarm of Insecticons. He lowers his binoculars.
"Bingo," one of the Team Shadow peons said.
"You see them?" The second Team Shadow peon asked.
"Sure do. Have a look," the first Team Shadow peon said, handing her the binoculars. She looked through and saw the Insecticons with her own eyes.
"Holy crap, those are the real deal," the second Team Shadow peon said. The first Team Shadow peon spoke through his radio.
"Look alive, everybody. The giant bugs are coming our way," the first Team Shadow peon said.
"Understood," Weevil said through the radio. Weevil informs Ein. "Mr. Ein, sir!"
"What is it?" Ein asked.
"Our lookouts just spotted the rumored bugs. They're heading our way right now," Weevil said. Ein grinned.
"Good. All we do is draw their attention," Ein said. He took out his Ultra Balls and let out his two Kyurem. The Insecticons were in sight of Team Shadow. Ein gave the order. "Kyurem! Freeze Shock! Ice Burn!" The two Kyurem unleashed their attacks, striking a couple of the Insecticons, making the rest of the swarm scatter. The Insecticons that were struck fell to the ground. One of the leading Insecticons spotted Team Shadow below.
"Shrapnel, we have company," the rhinoceros beetle said.
"So we do," Shrapnel said. "Bombshell, Kickback, how about we educate them on who is the superior being."
"I like the sound of that, Shrapnel," Kickback said.
"So do I," Bombshell agreed.
"Insecticons! Attack!" Shrapnel ordered. Many of the Insecticons all transformed into their robot forms. Ein was amazed by their transformations. They opened fire on Team Shadow as they threw Pokéballs, letting out several Claydol and Beheeyem.
"Hyper Beam!" The Team Shadow peons ordered. The Claydol and Beheeyem all fired Hyper Beam. The attacks struck some of the Insecticons. They plowed through the Pokémon like snow. They let out several Metang to join in the battle. "Flash Cannon!" They fired Flash Cannon at the Insecticons, scrapping one or two of them. Megatron and his Decepticons arrived on the scene in jet mode. They transformed to robot mode when he saw the chaos taking place.
"It looks like the Insecticons are engaged in battle," Starscream said.
"The attackers are not Autobots. They must be the inhabitants of the planet," Megatron said.
"I was certain that the Autobots would be on the scene, lord Megatron," Starscream said.
"Ot appears that they have beaten them to the punch," Megatron said. "Soundwave, send your Mini-Cons to assist the Mini-Cons!" Soundwave stepped forward.
"Rumble, Frenzy, Ravage, Howlback, Overkill, Slugfest, Beastbox, Ratbat. Eject. Operation: Reinforcements," Soundwave said. His Mini-Cons all charged right at Team Shadow. Two of them looked the same. One is blue, and one is black and red. One of them resembles a bat, one looked like a stegosaurus, one looked like a ceratosaurus, one looked like a lavender ape, and one looked like Ravage, but he is blue instead of black. Ravage leapt at one of the Team Shadow peons as the blue panther Mini-Con leapt at another.
"What do you think we should do, Rumble?" The black robot asked.
"Simple, Frenzy. We crack the shell, and then break the nuts inside," Rumble said.
"I was hoping you'd say that, Rumble!" Frenzy said. His and Rumble's arms turned into piledrivers and pounds the ground. The Team Shadow peons fell from the violent vibrations.
"Overkill, you ready for some fun?" The stegosaurus Mini-Con asked.
"I sure am, Slugfest!" Overkill answered as Overkill attacked. Ratbat flew right at Weevil, making him duck his head. He took out a Pokéball and opened it. His Scizor came right out.
"Metal Claw!" Weevil ordered. Scizor flew right at Ratbat as the ape Mini-Con gave Scizor a punch.
"Beastbox wins!" Beastbox said.
"Fusion Bolt!" Ein ordered. Black Kyurem attacked Beastbox with Fusion Bolt, sending him flying. Ravage and Howlback turned to Ein and ran towards him. "Fusion Flare!" The White Kyurem unleashed Fusion Flare, striking the panther-like Mini-Cons. A laser shots at the Team Shadow peons, catching some of them in the blast. Ein turned to see it came from Megatron himself.
"Decepticons! Aide the Insecticons!" Megatron ordered. The Decepticons complied with their leader as they attacked the Team Shadow peons.
"So, they've come," Ein said.
"Sir! What are your orders?" A Team Shadow peon asked.
"Retreat," Ein said calmly.
The Team Shadow members all started to make their retreat.
"Look at the cowards flee!" Starscream said. "They won't go far." He aimed his right arm forward.
"Let them go, Starscream. They are of no importance to me," Megatron said. The Insecticons come before the Decepticon leader. Shrapnel spoke up.
"We do not know you, but I sense I kinship between us," Shrapnel said.
"I am Megatron, leader of the Decepticons. We have come to your aide, brothers," Megatron said. "And there is something you can do for us in return."
"What's in it for us?" Kickback asked.
"You and the rest of your kind shall be greatly taken care of. In exchange for our care, you are to serve the Decepticon cause and help destroy our hated enemies, the Autobots," Megatron said.
"We shall join you in your conquest to destroy the Autobots!" The Insecticons stated.
"Autobots?" Hardshell asked.
Over to the lone Insecticon, Windblade fired at the Insecticon, sending him down. The Insecticon transformed to robot mode and he fired at Drift when he saw him coming. Drift transformed into his robot mode and he drew his sword. Drift slashed his weapon and then, slashed his head clean off. The headless Insecticon fell on the ground as Energon spurts from the severed torso.
"Drift, Windblade, what is your status?" Optimus asked.
"The Insecticon has been dispatched. We gave pursuit, and then attacked before we were forced to behead him," Drift said.
"Any words on the Decepticons?" Optimus asked.
"Negative, Optimus," Windblade said.
Over to Team Shadow, Ein made contact with Mateus to report the situation.
"Master Mateus, we have found the giant insects, and we have found more of those robots," Ein reported. "We have suffered some casualties in the attack."
"I see," Mateus said. "Keep surveying the situation. Inform me at once about you have learned."
"At once, Master Mateus," Ein said, breaking contact. Mateus stroked his chin as he grinned evilly.
"This is turning out more interesting than I expected," Mateus said.
On the next day, Sora, Kairi, Karen, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, and Blossom were brought to the Ark, and to be told of the situation.
"So they're Decepticons after all," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"I knew it," Sora said.
"Pika, Pika," Pikachu said.
"I'm going to guess those mechanical creepy crawlies joined up with the Cons," Meowth said.
"Indeed. The Decepticons' numbers are indeed increasing," Optimus said.
Meanwhile, out in outer space, an Autobot ship is strolling through the stars. Inside the ship, several Autobot soldiers are doing their part on the ship. Among them are six female Autobots. One of them is red female Autobot is sitting in the commander's chair. One is green and light yellow, while one is red and orange, one is dark yellow and purple, one is turquoise and white, and one is blue and white.
"Elita One, we are picking up Cybertronian signals on a nearby planet," the blue female Autobot said.
"How soon until we get there?" Elita One asked.
"We shall be there within less than twenty-four solar cycles," the red and orange female Autobot said.
"We have Autobot signals, but there are more Decepticon signals coming from the same planet," green female Autobot said.
"Set course for the planet. If there are Decepticons there, then it could mean disaster for the inhabitants," Elita One said. "Chromia, set course for the planet."
"At once," Chromia said.
"Firestar, Greenlight, get the troops ready," Elita One ordered.
"You got it," Firestar said.
"Lancer, lock on a set of coordinates to land, so we don't draw unneeded attention," Elita One ordered.
"Setting coordinates now," Lancer said, tying in the coordinates.
The ship gets closer to Earth and lands in an isolated area.
"Activate the scanner to find suitable disguises," Elita One ordered.
"On it," Lancer said.
A scanner comes out and search for vehicles to scan. Mai Valentine is sitting at a patio of a coffee house as the scanner arrived and scanned the purple car. Several other automobiles were scanned for Elita One and her crew. Several jets and trucks were scanned and the troopers were given Earth-based vehicle forms as well.
"Autobots, transform and roll out!" Elita One shouted as they transformed and drove off. Elita One and the other five female Autobots drove out of the ship as it went into camouflaged itself.
Back to Team Shadow HQ, he opened a dimensional rift as the Brotherhood of Drakness all stepped out of it.
"Mateus?" Ganondorf asked.
"It has been a while, Ganondorf," Mateus said.
"What a relief! We have been cooped up for a few minutes, and we were about to go bored!" Bowser said.
"It appears you were there for a short time in the dimension you spoke of. For us, it has been far longer than you claim it to be," Mateus said.
"You mean we were in there longer than we think?! That's not fair!" Risky exclaimed in anger.
"All because of that kid and his meddling friends," K. Rool said.
"Opportunity shall present itself, my friends. You shall have your revenge on Sora Ketchum, but only on my terms. We have a common enemy, so we will work together to destroy him, and all who stood with him," Mateus said.
"How shall we do so?" Sigma asked.
"Patience. We have much to do," Mateus said. "And others to gather." Mateus chuckled evilly.
Over on Mobius, Sonic was doing some rounds as he carried on with his daily life.
Sonic sighed, "Man, things have pretty dull around here ever since Eggman and the other bad guys got the heave-ho. No bad guy to thwart, just the typical thieves, but not the destructive kind." He sighed again. "Man, I need some excitement in my life again."
"Sonic!" A familiar voice shouted. It belonged to Tails, flying, using his two tails. "Sonic, over here!"
"Tails?" Sonic asked as he ran up to the two-tailed fox. "What's up, buddy?"
"I wanted to tell you it's done!" Tails said.
"Done? What's done?" Sonic asked.
"My dimensional doorway! I have been working on it for the last few months. And it's ready!" Tails said proudly. He led the blue hedgehog to the dimensional doorway Knuckles, Team Choatix, Sally, Amy, and the rest of the Freedom Fighters stood before it.
"I admit it looks promising, but you certain it's a good idea to use it, Tails? Something might go wrong," Sally said.
"I'm sure it'll be okay, Sally. Since Eggman is no longer a problem, I didn't have any worries. We can have a trip to any dimension of our choosing. And I know just the coordinates," Tails said, setting the coordinates. It turns out to be Sora's Earth. "Ta-da!"
"Whoa!" The Mobiums all exclaimed.
"How exciting!" Amy said.
"Sweet! I can pay Sora a visit, if he's even in that world, that is," Sonic said.
"He is," Tails said. "That's the world I set it on. I thought it'll be a good idea to pay him a visit."
"You always were the best, Tails," Sonic said. "Let's give it a test run!"
"Activating now," Tails said, turning it on. The dimensional rift opened.
"Sweet! I'm heading through!" Sonic said.
"Hold it, Sonic. I packed you something," Tails said, handing him a sack. "Just in case of an emergency." Sonic saw Tails packed the Chaos Emeralds inside. "But, use it as a last resort."
"Gotcha. Now if you excuse me. Gotta run!" Sonic said as he ran through. The dimensional rift opened as Sonic ran from inside. "Next stop: Sora's house!" Sonic ran across the Kanto region, running pass some Pidgey and Pidgeotto, startling them. Sonic eventually reached Sora's house and knocked on the door. Delia answered the door and she was extremely surprised. "Is Sora home?"
"Sonic?" Delia asked.
Who would have thought Sonic the Hedgehog would make an appearance again. Also, Elita One and other Autobots have arrived as well; and that's just the good news! Here's the bad news! The Insecticons joined up with the Decepticons, and the Brotherhood of Darkness have returned as well. The list of problems seems to be growing and growing. We'll see how much trouble Sora and his friends will have when we continue in the next chapter.
