Episode 515: Sonic's Unexpected Visit
Delia was surprised to see Sonic the Hedgehog on her doorstep.
"Sonic, I cannot believe it!" Delia said.
"It's been a while, Mrs. Ketchum," Sonic said.
"Sora's not home right now. But I know he'll be really surprised to see you again," Delia said.
"How is everything?" Sonic asked.
"Oh, a lot has happened since we last saw you. Would like to come in?" Delia asked.
"Sure," Sonic said.
Sonic entered inside the house as Delia and Mimey went to prepare some treats for their guest.
Over to the Ark, Sora, Kairi, Karen, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, and Blossom were at the mansion with the Mane Six, Spike, Starlight, the Young Six, and the Digimon were watching the news coverage of the Insecticon attack.
"And citizens, we urge you to take proper precautions and be constantly vigilant. Report anything out of the ordinary if you happen to come across them, call the local authorities," Looker said, speaking to the press conference.
"It's bad enough that the Decepticons, but now Team Shadow gets involved," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Somehow I knew they would get involved. I didn't wanna believe it," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"You think the Decepticons would join up with Team Shadow like we have with the Autobots?" Sandbar asked.
"I hope not," Sora said. "To be completely honest, I don't see how it could get any worse."
Over to Team Shadow HQ, Mateus brought over villains from different dimensions. Wart and his army was among them. Others were shrouded in shadow, but their eyes were visible.
"Welcome, friends. I am Mateus, the head of Team Shadow. I have summoned you all together, because I have a proposition for you all. There are those who will do what they can to stop us, but working together, we there is nothing we cannot do together," Mateus said.
A humanoid woman stepped forward. She has purple-gray skin, lavender eyes, scaly arms, and a black tattoo over her left eye. Her long, black hair has several teal snakes mixed in, with a single orange snake on the left side of her head. She wears a long, dark purple dress that blends into red at the bottom, with gold trimmings throughout and gold ornaments that match Palutena's dress. She wields a two-pronged gold and blue staff with two snakes wrapped around it. She wondered what he in mind.
Back in Pallet Town, Sora, Kairi, Karen, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, and Blossom went to Sora's house for lunch.
"Sora, Karen, Kairi, you're just in time," Delia said, smiling.
"What are you making for lunch, mom?" Sora asked.
"I was thinking of chili dogs for lunch," Delia said.
"Chili dogs?" Sora, Kairi, Karen, and Meowth all asked.
"Of course. And we have a guest joining us. He arrived here while you three were gone," Delia said.
"A guest?" Sora asked. "I didn't know Ven was coming over today."
"It's not your cousin. It's one of your friends," Delia said. Sora was confused, and so were the girls. "You can come out now." Sonic ran across the room and he stands before Sora.
"Hey, Sora!" Sonic greeted.
"Sonic?!" Sora exclaimed happily.
"It's been a while. Hey, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth," Sonic greeted.
"When did you get here?" Sora asked.
"And how did you get here?" Kairi asked.
"Just today, and Tails made a dimensional door, so I could pay you a visit. I thought you would be surprised to see me," Sonic said.
"We are very surprised, Sonic," Kairi said.
"Is he one of the friends you mentioned befofe?" Karen asked.
"Yeah. Sonic, meet Karen; she's my sister. Karen, meet Sonic the Hedgehog," Sora introduced.
"You have a sister? I didn't know that," Sonic said.
"It's a long story," Sora said.
During lunch, Sora and Kairi shared their tale to the blue hedgehog about their adventures in the Sinnoh region, shortly after their inter dimensional escapades. They also said Ventus, Terra, and Aqua joined them. They told them about the Pokémon, trainers and Coordinators they met while they were down there, including Lucas, Barry, Dawn, Paul, Zoey, Kenny, Raymond, Bobby, and the trainers from the Galar region. They even shared about the enemies they made there, being Team Galactic and Pokémon Hunter J. They even told him about the Digimon and the war in the Digital World against Myotismon, and AxeKnightmon. They shared about the Gym battles and Contests they entered and how Sora and Kairi won the Sinnoh Pokémon League and Grand Festival. They shared that the Digimon went back home to rebuild their home as Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, and the Pokémon ventured in the Unova region, and explained about the trainers and Pokémon they met there, and about Team Plasma, and about Team Shadow. They even explained how they met Karen and why she traveled with them, and about the Ninja Turtles and the Technodrome. Sonic wasn't surprised to hear Sora and Kairi had been through so much since they last saw each other.
"Wow, sounds like you have been through a lot," Sonic said.
"What about you, Sonic?" Sora asked.
"Well, there isn't much to tell. Ever since we took down the Brotherhood of Drakness, things were pretty quiet with Dr. Eggman gone. Not just Eggman, but his other villainous buddies, too," Sonic said.
"I bet Mobius is peaceful with Dr. Eggman gone," Kairi said.
"Yeah. It gets pretty boring after a while. And then, now I'm here," Sonic said. "And I tell you, there's never a dull moment with you two," Sonic said.
"Seeing you here is a real surprise," Kairi said.
"And meeting you is another," Karen said.
"Well, Tails, Amy, Cream, Vector, Espio, and Charmy would be thrilled to meet you, too, Karen. I'm just sorry you won't meet your real dad, Karen," Sonic said.
"Don't be sorry, Sonic. I'm just grateful on where I came from," Karen said.
"Sonic, how about after lunch, we head to the mansion. There are friends there you should meet. But there are six that'll be familiar to you," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Pikachu," Blossom said.
"Cool. I was anxious to see my old hangout," Sonic said.
Outside, Hot Rod and Arcee had been assigned to watch over them again by Optimus.
Over to Team Shadow HQ, Eggman is working on his Egg Mobile. He grinned as he has finished it.
"Done," Eggman said proudly. "Now to get my revenge on that Sora kid for sending me to that place. And the best thing about my revenge is this: no Sonic to foil my plans!" Eggman laughed.
"You've been one busy egg," a femine voice spoke. It belonged to the snake-haired woman from before.
"Sorry, I didn't get your name," Eggman said.
"The name's Medusa. I'm the goddess of darkness. I was called over here same as you," Medusa said. "I heard rumors in the underworld that Palutena's captain of the guard helped a kid in this world, right?"
"You heard right. He and his friends sent us all to that world, and it seems to be a few minutes for us," Eggman said. "And that no-fly fly boy helped in our humiliation!" Medusa started to laugh at Eggman.
"It's funny to hear that you were beaten by a kid. Not only that, a blue hedgehog. I bet he literally ran circles around you," Medusa said.
"You wouldn't be laughing if you were in my shoes. And once I'm done with those kids, I'm heading back to Mobius and getting payback on Sonic the Hedgehog and the Freedom Fighters for everthing!" Eggman said.
"Good luck with that, because you will need it when that kid mops the floor with you again. And I cannot wait to see that," Medusa said, laughing.
Elsewhere, two more figures step out of the shadows. One of them is a tall, purple humanoid robot. He has a green, transparent, egg-shaped head-dome featuring gears and cogs inside, and brightly colored red eyes. He has red highlights across his torso, a pair of mechanical wings attached to his pauldrons, hydraulic pipes on his chest and back, and diamond-shaped guards on his legs and arms. Another is a skeletal witch, wearing a witch's outfit. Her ribcage is particularly exposed.
"I kinda like it here. How about you?" The robot asked.
"There are some things I did not expect to see, but this world really appeals to me," the witch said with a rhyme.
"Okay, why are you rhyming?" The robot asked.
"That's what Gruntilda Winkbunion does. That's how it always was," Gruntilda said. "Mateus seems to be someone very neat, a good person for me to meet."
"Yeah, he seems okay. It's those other losers he brought here. Not one of them could hold a candle to I, Dr. Nefarious!" Dr. Nefarious laughed maniacally as Gruntilda rolled her eyes.
"This robot I definitely won't dig. Even I don't have an ego that big," Gruntilda said. "And those other so-called villains that I am forced to work along, Spiral Mountain and this world, Gruntilda will belong." She chuckled.
Over to the mansion, Sora, Kairi, Karen, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, and Blossom arrived to see Spike opening the door.
"Sora, Kairi, Karen? Didn't expect to see you again so soon," Spike said.
"We have another visitor," Sora said, gesturing to Sonic.
"Hey, Spike. They weren't kidding when they said you're a dragon," Sonic said.
"Um, do I know you?" Spike asked, confused.
"This is Spike from Equestria. The Spike you know is with Sunset Shimmer and the others," Sora said.
"Right, you wouldn't know me," Sonic said.
"Who's this exactly?" Spike asked.
"This is Sonic," Karen answered.
"Sonic? As in Sonic the Hedgehog?" Spike asked.
"That's me," Sonic said.
"We brought him over to meet everyone," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
Sonic ran inside the mansion to find the group. Inside, the Mane Six, Starlight, the Young Six, and the Digimon were surprised as Sonic just zoomed pass them.
"What was that?!" Gomamon exclaimed.
"Are we under attack?!" Hawkmon also exclaimed.
Sonic stopped running and grinned.
"Hey there," Sonic greeted.
"Who are you?" Gatomon asked.
"Everyone, meet Sonic the Hedgehog, one of the friends from across the multiverse. Sonic, you would already know Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, Fluttershy, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, and Rainbow Dash, along with Spike. Meet Starlight Glimmer, a unicorn from Equestria. Also meet Sandbar, an earth pony, Gallus, a griffin, Silverstream, a hippogriff, Yona, a yak, Smolder, a dragon, and Ocellus, a changeling. And those are the Digimon, Agumon, Gabumon, Biyomon, Tentomon, Veemon, Wormmon, Hawkmon, Palmon, Gomamon, Armadillomon, Patamon, and Gatomon."
"So. Digimon names ends with 'mon', huh?" Sonic asked.
"That's how Digimon were when we met them," Sora said.
"So, you're Sonic the Hedgehog. I heard you were fast; and really fast," Veemon said.
"Sora told me some things about you during lunch. I heard you can get really big," Sonic said.
"That's one way to put it," Gabumon said.
"We saw it first hoof," Sandbar said.
"Yona thought they were cool. Yona also thought cat Digimon form very pretty," Yona said. Gatomon blushes at the yak's compliment.
"Anyway, how long will you be here?" Twilight asked.
"For a while, maybe. In the meantime, I was thinking for going for a run," Sonic said, looking at Rainbow Dash. "I'm wondering if you're as fast as the other Rainbow Dash, Rainbow Dash." The cyan pegasus grinned.
"Is that a challenge I smell?" Rainbow Dash asked as Pinkie took a whiff.
"No, it smells more like chili," Pinkie said.
"Pinkie, I think she means, she wants to race Sonic," Tentomon said.
"Oh," Pinkie said, getting it; sort of. "Why didn't you just say that?" Sonic chuckled as he figured Pinkie Pie is Pinkie Pie in human or pony form.
"Okay, how about it, Rainbow? You ready to eat my dust?" Sonic asked.
"You're the one who's going to eat my dust, hedgehog. You're up against a Wonderbolt!" Rainbow Dash said.
"A Wonderbolt? Oh, how will I manage?" Sonic asked, pretending to feel like losing. "I'll have you know that I outran Eggman's rockets and missles," Sonic said.
"This'll be interesting," Hawkmon said.
"And fun to watch," Wormmon said.
"What do you guys, think?" Meowth asked.
"My money's on the hedgehog," Gabumon said.
"My money's on the pegasus," Biyomon said.
"Mine too," Palmon said.
Over to the Ark, Optimus made contact with Hot Rod and Arcee.
"Report, you two," Optimus said.
"Sora, Kairi, and Karen have left the house," Arcee said.
"And they had a blue creature with them," Hot Rod added.
"A blue creature?" Optimus asked.
"Not exactly sure what to make of it. Sora and the girls have made their way to the mansion to meet with the ponies, the other creatures, and Digimon," Hot Rod said.
"Are you at the mansion as we speak?" Optimus asked.
"As you instructed, Optimus," Arcee said.
"Continue the surveillance," Optimus ordered.
"Affirmative," Arcee said.
Over to Elita One's ship, she and her crew returned from patrol.
"Any signs of the Decepticons?" Elita One asked.
"No, Elita One," an Autobot trooper said.
"The signal went is still cold," another trooper said.
"Keep searching," Elita One said. "I will be in my chambers. Unless it's important, do not disturb me."
"Of course, Elita," Chromia said. Elita One walked to her chambers as Chromia watched her enter. She knew what was on her mind ever since Cybertron went under.
In Elita One's chambers, she sat on the floor and she sighed sadly.
"Optimus, no, Orion Pax. I miss you terribly. I wish I could see you one more time. There was no one else who made feel like the bot I was before the war began," Elita One said.
(Flashback)
It was on Cybertron, before the war. Optimus was working in the library of the archives on Iacon. As Elita One said, he has gone by the name of Orion Pax. Walked in was Elita One, but she didn't go by that name back then. Orion Pax turned to her with a smile.
"Ariel," Orion greeted.
"Hello, Orion," Ariel greeted.
"Is there something I may help you with?" Orion asked.
"Just here to see my favorite librarian," Ariel said in a flirting manner.
We press on even further as the war rages on. Some Autobots are killed by the attacking Decepticons. Orion and Ariel had their new names by then. Optimus and Elita One fired at the Decepticons, striking them. A Decepticon emerged from the rubble and aimed at Elita. Optimus notices the Decepticon.
"Elita, watch out!" Optimus said, firing at the Decepticon, killing him.
"Thank you, Optimus," Elita One said. Another Decepticon comes right behind him. "Look out!" She pushes him out of the way, and shot at the attacking Decepticon, killing him. Just then, a large Decepticon came flying down in jet mode. The jet transformed into robot mode. He had one large red eye in the center, and two on each side. He has clamps for hands.
"In the name of the great and glorious Megatron, you are hereby ordered to be destroyed, Optimus Prime!" The Decepticon declared.
"Not today, Lugnut!" Elita One stated, shooting him in the shoulder.
"Autobot wench! How dare you strike me, a loyal servant of the mighty Megatron!" Lugnut said, striking Elita One, sending her flying.
"ELITA!" Optimus exclaimed. Lugnut transformed into his jet mode and fired right at Elita One, but she transformed into her Cybertronian vehicle mode and drove out of the way. Lugnut transformed into robot mode and grabbed her. She transformed into her robot form. "Release her!"
"Do not give me orders, Prime! And do not come any closer if you value her life!" Lugnut said.
"Optimus," Elita One could only say. Optimus had to stand down.
"I surrender, Lugnut. You win," Optimus said.
"I knew you'd see it my way, Optimus Prime. Throw your weapon this way," Lugnut said. Optimus threw his gun over to Lugnut. Just then, a blue Autobot with a white face emerged from behind and held his gun. He took aim at Lugnut's back and he fired, striking him. He let go of her, making Optmis catch her. He turned to see the Autobot, holding the weapon.
"Ultra Magnus," Lugnut snarled.
"You will have no victory, Decepticon!" Ultra Magnus said. He fired at the large Autobot, but Lugnut fired a missle right at Ultra Magnus. Ultra Magnus fired at the missle, resulting in an explosion. Optimus and Elita One shielded each other as Lugnut has escaped in jet mode. The smoke cleared and Ultra Magnus is no longer seen.
"Ultra Magnus!" Optimus shouted. Optimus grabbed his weapon and fired at Lugnut.
"Let him go, Optimus," Elita One said. "There is nothing you can do for him."
"Ultra Magnus was my good friend," Optimus said.
"As his friend, honor his sacrifice. Don't let his death be in vain over revenge," Elita One said. Optimus knew she was right because nothing good came out of revenge.
We go further in the Sea of Rust as Autobots and Decepticons fought each other. Optimus and Elita infiltrated a Decepticon fortress. They fired their way through. They reached the core of the fortress. Optimus and Elita planted the explosives and started to make their way off. A cruiser arrived and Optimus jumped on first. He turned to see Elita One standing there still.
"Elita! What are you waiting for? Come on! We must go!" Optimus said.
"Someone has to make sure the Decepticons don't come aboard!" Elita One stated.
"No! I don't want to lose you like we lost Ultra Magnus!" Optimus said.
"Optimus, we have to go!" Ironhide said, holding him back.
"Pull out, Gears!" Jazz said. Gears pulls out as Optimus tried to get to Elita One.
"Elita!" Optimus shouted as Ratchet stopped him.
"Don't be a fool, Optimus!" Ratchet said.
Elita One found an escape pod and used it to escape from the fortress before it exploded. Elita looked up to the cruiser, escaping. "We will meet again, my love."
(Flashback ends)
Elita One met her crew and fought on just when Optimus and the Autobots with him on the Ark, and the Nemesis took pursuit. She began to think Optimus is dead, and vowed to stop the Decepticons at any costs.
Back in Pallet Town, Sonic and Rainbow Dash got ready for the race. Delia, Kairi's families, the Pokémon, and the townspeople were gathering around to witness the race.
"Okay, what are the rules?" Sonic asked.
"Okay, the rules are simple. It's a race around the Kanto region. The finish line is right where you started. Whoever makes it over the finish line first is the winner, and has the right to be called the fastest thing alive! On my left, it's a pegasus who needs no introduction! She is a member of the Wonderbolts, and is the Element of Loyalty! Hailing from Ponyville in Equestria, we have Rainbow Dash! And on my right, he is known for his witty banter, and incredible speed! He is known as the Blue Blur of Mobius, and a huge lover of chili dogs! Give a warm welcome to Sonic the Hedgehog!" Sora announced. "The rules are simple, you two! The rules are no stopping for any reason! No short cuts, and run as fast as you can run!"
"The hedgehog will win it," one man said.
"The pony's got it in the bag," another man said.
"Racers into positions!" Sora called out, holding a black and white checkered flag. Sonic and Rainbow Dash got ready to run. "On your mark! Get set!" Sora raised the flag. He waved it down. "GO!" Sonic and Rainbow Dash started to run, leaving behind a dust cloud. A blue and rainbow line zaps across the Kanto region as the hedgehog and pegasus ran pass the passing patrons and Pokémon. A few girls kept their skirts from going up as they zoomed pass them.
Sonic and Rainbow Dash kept running across the cities, surprising everyone witnessing the two creatures running. They ran right down Porta Vista as Ventus and Sparky are walking with Cattleya, pushing the stroller. Sonic zips by them.
"Hey, Ven!" Sonic greeted.
"Sonic?" Ventus asked.
"Gee," Yuki said.
"Can it be?" Cattleya asked.
Sonic and Rainbow Dash zipped pass several forests, unknowingly foiling thefts taking place, allowing Officer Jenny to arrest the criminals. They ran pass Elita One's invisible ship.
"Did you hear something?" One trooper asked.
"No," another trooper answered.
They made it back to Pallet Town. They were running so fast, no one could tell who was ahead or behind.
"So, who won?" Meowth asked.
"I won of course," Sonic said.
"No way! I won by a mile!" Rainbow Dash argued.
"You got your rainbow mane crossed, Rainbow! I won by a nose!" Sonic argued.
"I have a photo right here," Yuta spoke up. He showed them the photo, and it was Sonic who made it a little before Rainbow Dash did. "And it looks like it's Sonic by a nose just like he said it was." Rainbow Dash was dumbfounded by what she saw.
"I lost?" Rainbow Dash asked in her daze.
"That was one heck of a race," Sonic said. He looked at the pegasus and walked up to her. "Hey, Rainbow Dash, no hard feelings, right. You almost had me back there. Nobody else other than Shadow, Scourge, or even Metal Sonic could keep up with me." Rainbow Dash regained her posture.
"You got lucky, Sonic. Next time we race, you won't be so lucky!" Rainbow Dash said.
"And that's the Rainbow Dash we know," Fluttershy said.
Sonic and Rainbow Dash shook hands/hooves in agreement to another race to determine the next race.
Over to Dr. Eggman in his Egg Mobile, he began to hover around a fortress he left behind.
"Aw, just as I left it," Dr. Eggman said, opening the door, only to see it very dusty. "Almost, but no matter. Now to use one of the robots I never had the chance of using. Now which one shall I use?" He looked over the robots as he stroked his chin. "I can't just decide. Maybe, I could just randomly choose one with this." He grabbed a deck of cards and he selected a robot that has a Charizard design. It has jet engines, and thrusters. "Oh-ho-ho-ho-ho! Chariblast! This one will do just fine!" He presses a button. "Chariblast, activate!" The eyes of the Charizard robot activates and raises up. "Go to the nearest city and begin destruction at once!" The robot complies and flies right out towards the closest city, which turns out to be Celadon City.
Dr. Eggman has begun his revenge, unaware that his hated enemy, Sonic the Hedgehog has shown up yet, and also unaware of the Autobots, so he'll be in a real surprise when Sonic appears before him. So how do you think he'll react when he sees his mortal enemy again? Find out real soon.
Before we close this chapter, I thought I would share something hilarious with you. I was thinking of having Starscream in a humiliating defeat by Rainbow Dash, except he actually survived, unlike that Death Match video on YouTube.
